(00:53):
Welcome to the Full Time Fantasy Podcast. I am your host as usual,
Adam Krautwurst, and with me tonightis a friend of mine. Who's
Who's Who's twinning twins ing with metonight? The backwards hat, the black
shirt. This was not planned, folks. This was not planned. Stacy
Paraz. Stacy was what's going on? I am great? How do you
(01:14):
know? It wasn't planned at him? I think like while I was deciding
what to wear tonight, I waslike, you know what I need to
go. I've never worn a backwardshat ever in my life. All those
hats behind you no, no,no, no backwards hatting, no,
these these are just for display only, OK. Gotchas I've been to so
that's what those are. But yeah, I was like, I'm gonna rock
(01:34):
it backwards hat today. It's whatI'm doing. That is right? You
plan I mean you planned it.I didn't. I didn't. Yes,
that's right. Stacey doesn't rock theShe doesn't go to court with the backwards
hat. On every day for sure. Oh different vibe. I love it.
I love it. But thanks everyonefor tuning in tonight. This is
hey listen, you're the first thefirst guest, the first show of the
(01:55):
year for the Full Time Fantasy Podcast. I'm so happy to be back and
in this Draft week, I mean, one of the best weeks of the
year. No, yes, yeah, absolutely best week of the year,
one of the best week. Imean, you think you gotta put like
super Bowl up there, you gottaput some other things, man like Draft
week. I'm just like so excitedto finally get some finality, some you
know, just end the speculation ofwhere these guys are gonna go and just
(02:22):
you know, get landing spots naileddown. So I can, you know,
feel like I'm out of this limbothat I've been living in for that
a few months. I know,I've been doing some shows kind of all
around the Internet, and it's justlike I feel like I can't even give
people like good concrete fantasy information. We can talk about the prospects that we're
gonna do night, as far aslike who to draft, we don't know,
(02:42):
Yeah, we don't know. There'sgonna be trades of players like,
we don't know so but so thisthis week will finalize some stuff and them
can really dive into that. Butbut yeah, everyone takes you training.
Like I said, hit the likebutton, hit the subscribe button, and
in the chat hop. In thechat, if you type in lad l
A D D like lad McConaughey,my guy in the chat, you will
(03:04):
have a drawing to win a fiftydollars team this Friday, fifty dollars entry
into the Best Ball draft over atthe FFWC. So that'd be good.
Put lad in in the chat andwe'll bring it up a couple of times
tonight. But best Ball, that'swas one of your things, right Stace.
You're you're, you're, you're divingin this year. So I love
bestball so much. So I'm doinga show right now with Club Fantasy,
(03:25):
and we're doing best Ball kind oflike a you know, intro to Best
Ball for those folks that like, don't really know too much about best Ball,
that are just kind of getting intoit and don't really know how to
play. So we just started thatlast week. I'm going to try there's
an underdog war room out and hopefullyit won't fill before tomorrow when we do
our show, it's going to beour last draft before the actual draft,
(03:49):
so there you go. It's amazingto me how many like like we're sickos,
right, we're drafting all year andwe're like all the people that we
surround ourselves with our sikos and everyone'sdrafting and talking about like my normal friends
like wait, you're drafting now?Or wait, like what's best ball?
Like I don't even really It's amazinghow many people don't really even know what
like, wait, you have fivehundred teams, Like what if that doesn't
(04:12):
make sense? Yeah, and you'relike five hundred man, like I gotta
I gotta have my numbers here.I've not even heard about teams. I
worried about player ownership, like,oh my god, I gotta get some
more lad maconkey exactly. I've gotto get my oosure rates up over here.
And then we're you know, itsounds like we're talking Chinese to people,
but yeah, you're right. Imean, like all all my normy
friends to have no idea what bestball is. And that's kind of what
(04:34):
like made me say like okay, like let's do something for those people that
like maybe they don't have time todo or redraft and invest, you know,
all the managing and waivers and everythinglike that, but they still want
to play fantasy, you know, like let me tell you about best ball,
Like best ball is for you ifthat's your situation, you know so,
But yeah, I mean do We'vebeen drafting since super Bowl weekend?
(04:55):
Yo, Like I'm embarrassed to sayhow much that draft cost and super Bowl
the one that I oh my god, one thousand dollars entry and super Bowl.
I'm talking about people that know whatthey're talking about. And I'm drafted
for for the next season. Butyou know what, I always do better
in those Like the last few seasonswhere I've like done the best in my
fantasy has been those ones that I'vedrafted pre draft. And I don't know
(05:18):
what that means the whole, youknow, but those are those are what
you know, seem to do thebest for me the last couple of years.
So I'm gonna keep doing it untilit until it doesn't work out anymore.
You like making the a DP,you don't like following the ad ad
Pact. That's that's what it is. That's right that there should be a
(05:38):
t shirt for the expo. Setthe ADP come out, somebody make that.
Somebody is listening tonight, who's makingsure to make that? Bring it
to the expo and you could sella ton of them for for sure.
But yeah, for people who arejust getting into best ball, this was
not a best ball show. Butwe'll talk basketball for a second. Google
it because there's so many different likeways to play and all all that.
(05:58):
That type of stuff. Definitely playedbeast spou at the f FWC Fantasy Word
World Championships, for sure. Butit's basically like a set and forget it.
You draft your rush or there's noline up setting, there is no
trading, there's no waivers, there'snothing. So you can literally just the
only time it takes to run theteam is the time it takes actually draft.
So you can draft as many oras little as you want and you
sit back and just watch your teamscrumble over the course of the year or
(06:21):
rise. So it's to the top, but it's positive to the top,
that's right, that's right. It'sdefinitely the most common as far as like
amount of drafts over the course ofthe year that people do is best ball.
Wouldn't you think well, I do. I think so, and I
think so. You know, it'sso fun and easy. There's so many
different ways to play that. Youknow, say you get in a draft
(06:44):
and you hate your draft, doanother one, another one, immediate one,
and do no one immediately. Youcan knock these out, like I
always tell people. Every really laughsat me. But you know, last
season, I got so into doingbest Ball drafts. I mean they'll take
about forty five minutes, maybe anhour. You know, I'm sitting getting
my nails done. Okay, I'min the pedicure chair, and I'm a
(07:05):
ripping off a couple Best Ball maniasjust you know, just like a little
like machine, you know there, and it doesn't take that much time.
But you know, just keep doingthem until you until you feel you know
good about yourself. I just keepdoing them because I can't quit because I
guess that's Does that make me abest ball addict? Yes? And I
don't think you ever feel good themore your draft, you definitely don't feel
(07:26):
better about about yourself. Definitely,if you feel worse. I'm trying to
get the comparison for me, LikeI don't get my nails done, but
like, what would be like, maybe I'm watching my kids a soccer game.
That's probably the closest thing I'll getto to that. But yes,
fastball season is here and it's definitelybe kicking up after the NFL Draft this
weekend. But let's talk some prospectsfor the tons of tons of people we
(07:48):
could talk about obviously, but youhave a quarterback that you'd like to discuss?
Yes, yeah, yeah, Soyou know, look, we already
know about Caleb Williams. If Ihear the word generational talent when more time,
I think I'm gonna pass out.But and look, I like Jane
Daniels too. He's a fun one. But I think you know who deserves
(08:09):
talking about is JJ McCarthy here, right, That's kind of what I want
to know, Like where is hegoing to go? I like the rumors
of him going to Minnesota. Ithink that's a good fit for him there,
you know, I mean, here'shere's what I kind of liked about
him. So really great completion percentageseventy two point one third overall out of
the entire twenty twenty four draft classquarterback. You know, he can skew.
(08:33):
You know, he's a scrambler,he's got speed, he's got acceleration,
he's quick, he can change direction. Yeah, is he a little
skinny, sure, you know, but that can be fixed. He's got
good height, and you know he'spretty accurate. You know, there's a
pretty accurate deep ball he was.Let's see, where's my little stats here?
He was had ten touchdowns on playsof more than with more than twenty
(08:54):
eight yards, great arm strength, low sack rate. Probably had a lot
to do with that line there atMichigan. And he's not afraid to just
yolo, which I love. Ilove a good yollow ball public plans.
While I'm a big Jamis fan,I listen, I think J. J.
McCarthy's getting a little you know, people are not so excited about him,
but I think there's a lot tobe excited about here. Yeah,
(09:16):
yeah, exactly. And and youknow, I think coming from the Harbaugh
world too. I mean, certainlyplaying under Harbaugh can't hurt Harba. You
know, he's just you know, kind of pumping his guy up. But
he's like, oh, that's thebest pro day I've ever seen. It
was the best Comba I've ever seen. He's probably pumping his guy up,
but I guess that's his coach.Man, he should say that about his
(09:37):
guys, sure for sure, forsure, But I think being in that
offense with that coach, I meanit was run havy, I get it,
but a little bit of a littlebit of pro style. And listen,
a lot of his cons can befixed, right you know, shaky
decision making, you can you canfix that. Throws bad picks, that's
part of the decision making, rightlike. That was one of the knocks
on to Josh Allen. Oh,Josh Allen was inaccurate in college. No,
(09:58):
he was just a bad decision maker, right Like, you got to
stop throwing triple coverage and you're tryingtrying to do it all. So you
know, like you said, he'smobile, he's got he's got the quick
release. He's six foot three,he's got that kind of prototypical size.
So I like him. I don'tthink he's the first quarterback. I don't
think he's the second quarterback, butI think that he can certainly be a
guy worth trading up for, youknow, especially if you're if you're starting
(10:18):
quarterback. Is Zach Wilson's probably whata disaster about that for a second,
talking about to Denver, like, who who is on their Jared Stidham?
Who else is on their depth chartright now? I'm gonna pull it up
because it's somebody else who's not Itshould be JJ McCarthy sooner or somebody Drake
May. It's got to be somebody. It can't be. I mean,
(10:39):
they got listen. At least theJets are paying what half the guy's salary
and Ben We got Zach Wilson,Jared Sidham and Ben de Nucci on the
Denver. Yeah, it's time. It's time to time to trade up,
come up and get j J.McCarthy for sure. I think he will
(11:01):
be a nice his ceilings caped, but I think he will be a nice
NFL call or QB for for sure. We we brought up to Zach Wilson
name on Scott Shaw. God,Scott, I'm so sorry. Watch you
he loves Zach Wilson. I'm sorry, Scott. That's rough on the show.
(11:22):
Well, you know what I wassaying about McCarthy too, you know,
like he's first off, I heardthat Kevin O'Connell apparently is referred to
as KOC, which I just love. I think that's hilarious. What a
What a funny little nickname for him. But like if he does go to
I just I'm hyping him up togo to Minnesota. And now I just
really going to be disappointed if hegoes anywhere but Minnesota. What a great
(11:46):
spot for him to land into.Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T J.
Hockinson when he comes back, youknow, and then you've got some other
guys there, some other pieces,But I mean, I guess they're doing
pretty well by Kayleb Williams. Andwhen he goes to Chicago with putting peace
is around him, but beyond that, like, is there a better place
to land than Minnesota right now?No? No, they're look loaded for
(12:07):
sure. On I know that's that'swhat's interest. Usually these teams that pick
at the top, they're so bad. But you know, these teams that
that don't have a quarterback have donepretty good about getting the other pieces first
and then get like look at lookat the Niners. I mean, brock
perties anyone really think Black Party isan MVP candidate? Like, no,
the guy's got you couldn't ask forbetter weapons and an elite line. So
(12:28):
so yeah, no, I thinkit's gonna be a good lining spout for
any quarterback for sure, and thiswould be the year to do it,
to move up and get the quarterbackbecause there's so many like good ones.
Oh yeah, quotes for first Iwon't to see that happen in the worst
way. I need Minnesota to moveup and go get them some JJ McCarthy.
There there you go, all right, the QB. I want to
talk about it again. It's it'snot a it's a it's a guy that's
(12:50):
high on the list. But Ijust want to like put my stamp.
Jayden Daniels is a guy that Iam especially for fantasy. I'm so excited
about Jaden Daniels. He you know, everybody knows he's electric right, elite
rushing. And the thing that Idon't want him the most is his fifty
five college starts, Like that's sobig, especially in today's game. A
(13:11):
lot of these qbs are coming outearly or more early. He's a little
bit older obviously injuries, but Ithink to being to twenty three years old.
But that can help. But that'sa position that you don't mind a
little extra time there and learning.Yeah, right, exactly, unless you
know the team around him was loaded. Yes, but you could see the
(13:31):
explosiveness there and his deep ball touch, you know what. You know,
I'm not like a person that createslike rookie scouting profiles, but I love
when I go on and watch aplayer play and I'm like, man,
his deep ball is unbelievable. Andthen I go and I start to scout
him and look at what other peopleare saying, like the top thing deep
ball, accuracy, deep Okay, good. I'm not not crazy. So
(13:52):
I just think he's for his sake, and I hope he doesn't like end
in Washington for his sake, butI think, I mean, they do
have some weapons there, but Ijust don't trust the organization even though it's
had some turnover there administration perspective. But I just think he can be for
sure the number one QB in thisclass Fantasy wise. Coming out. He's
got Lamar Jackson written all over him. And I think he's a better passer
(14:16):
than Lamar was in college. GoingNo, I think so too. I
mean, he's just such a fun, dynamic player to watch, you know,
just super competitive, super accurate aswell, you know, and I
like that even though he is soskinny, he is willing to go after
guys and hit him. And maybehe needs to put on some Josh allen
Waite before he starts doing that inthe NFL. But but that's just what
(14:37):
really kind of stood out to mewhen I was watching his film. You
know, he said, just reallyfast, great play strength. Uh you
know, when he's getting loose inthe open field, he's really tough to
bring down, like, and that'ssaying a lot considering that he is a
thinner guy, you know, hisbuild. I just I think there's a
lot to like here, a lotof quality production in college, especially like
you were talking about on those deepyarders passes. I'm really pumped about Jane
(15:01):
Daniels here. I was really excitedwhen I watched this film. I think
I was more excited watching him thanI was anybody else. And I think
that's just to say that, likeCaleb Williams has been so hyped up for
so long that like, when I'vewatched his stuff, I was like,
well, this is what I expectfrom somebody who has been you know,
pumped up as much as he's beenpumped up. But man, I am
I am so excited for Jane DanielsAnd I don't know, I mean I
(15:22):
don't know where i'd else would wanthim to go. I mean, I
don't really love Washington, but likewhere else does he goes? He goes
New England. That's gross too, that's worse. Yeah, I know,
so I don't I don't know,I don't know. I hope another Yeah,
I hope somebody like trades up oror they take Drake may or like
one of these other guy like justyeah, I mean, he's got it,
he's got it. Not I mean, I guess I'd rather have Washington
(15:43):
than than New England. For sure, they have more weapons immediately, but
but yeah, no, I thinkDrake and the type of rushing up if
they let him run, which theyshould. Quarterbacks that run as well as
he do he does, they theyit's almost impossible for them. Finished in
the top ten in put points forlike Anthony Richardson for an example, he
didn't finish the season, he gothurt and all that, but points per
(16:07):
game he was top three before beforehe got hurt. Now, we don't
want Daniels to get hurt, butlike in points per game, doesn't matter
what. He's gonna have all therushing yards and all the rushing scores.
So I definitely like Jane Daniels forfor sure. Right, talk to me
about your running back? Who youwant to talk about tonight? Man.
Okay, So there's a couple ofguys that I like. I don't feel
like there's really anybody who's really stoodout in this class. This might be
(16:30):
like my least favorite running back class, but I do love me some Trey
Benson, Florida State, six foottwo, seventeen. He did play at
Oregon For a minute, I thinkeverybody needs to after you've done watching us,
of course, go to YouTube, pull up the clip of Trey Benson
running against Virginia Tech. I wantyou to go watch that game because he
(16:53):
hit twenty two miles per hour ona touchdown run and it is a phenomenal
watch. Go do it. Youwon't regret it. Tons of production,
twenty five touchdowns over the last twoseasons. It's just his mistackle rate is
just amazing, and the guy isjust so explosive. He's one of the
ones that has stood out to meand in the drafts that I've been doing
so far this year. If Iam looking to take a rookie running back,
(17:17):
I'm taking somebody like a Trey Bensonbecause I feel like wherever he goes,
you're almost guaranteed some kind of productionthere. Some of these guys,
I don't know that you can saythat, you know, I'm a little
bit worried, you know that. You know, maybe they get on teams
they don't have as good of ayear. You know. Somebody, as
an example Israel Olbanacanda that I wassuper high on last year. So Scott,
there you go, there's your there'syour uh jet dress. Yeah,
(17:40):
there's a jet. Super pumped abouthim last year. Thought that he was
going to come in and be ableto maybe make a name for himself all
brees Hall was kind of coming backfrom that injury and then nothing really happened
for him. So I feel likethat might be the story with a lot
of these guys in the draft. But man, I think Trey Benson is
going to be one of the onesthat actually produces in his fantasy relevant for
us. Yeah. I mean he'sgot the prototypical size right six foot to
two, sixteen to fifteen somewhere aroundthere. Man, it's great set.
(18:03):
So the guy like that, andhe's shown, like you said, the
speed, the size, the strength. Sometimes just those just guys just all
they need is an opportunity. Imean, think of Kyrine. Is Kyrin
Williams better than better than Tree Benson? Like maybe maybe, like not not
from like the people who are gradingthem coming out of the draft, but
he just got the ball every freakingplay for the last year. You get
Benson in a role where he's gettingthe ball all the all the time.
(18:26):
I mean in his big knocks area knee injury four years ago, you
know, inexperienced in past protection, like okay, whatever. Like as a
runner, I think he's super, super talented, you know. And there
was another guy that I looked atagain watched the film. First thing I
thought of was contact balance, shutting, Like these guys are hitting him and
(18:48):
he's staying up and making rods andsure it off everywhere I look. It's
his strengths are contacted, Like itshows up right on the film immediately.
Yeah, is his contact balance Andlike you said, his speed for for
sure? So yeah, for sure. And I think the running back class
might be a little underrated. Imean I don't know. Again, everyone's
so obsessed with the receivers as theyshould be, and no one cares about
running backs the NFL draft. Butlike landing spot, landing spots, all
(19:12):
that matters, right for these youjust need not like you said, you
need opportunity. You need to landsomewhere where you're either you know you've got
it right away, or you're aninjury away. And running back is such
a volatile position with injuries. Youknow eventually you're gonna get your chance more
than likely, right because somebody isdefinitely getting hurt, you know it just
(19:34):
it just happens every season without fail. And now now you want to hold
guys that are almost two injuries away. The injuries are absurd cool. And
if you're in a deep league likebut a lot of the leagues that we
play in, you know you're goingto be drafting some of these guys in
your redraft leagues. You know, like you can't wait to go get them
on the waiver wire because guess what, they they're gone. They're gone.
You know, they left the eyour August draft, okay, with your
(19:56):
last you know, couple of picksis where they went. So you know,
you got to keep these guys onyour radar, especially once you find
out landing spots and you know, dep charts and take a look at that,
because you know you don't want tomiss out. You don't want to
be stuck, you know, lookingfor replacements, and nobody's there for you
for sure. No, okay, never drop I always got it. You'll
hear me post it all season onTwitter. I'll never drop a running back
(20:18):
ever, never ever, Never droparound if he's if he's there, if
he's healthy, even the not healthyones, never drop them because just they're
an injury away. And these guysare getting hurt walking up. Guys are
blowing their achilles to bits jogging outof the field during the Super Bowl.
Like, okay, all right,Well, who was the running back from
(20:41):
Seattle that you drafted that first yearthat we drafted together in Kentucky. And
I told you that you were makingup a name? I know, And
I'm gonna for I already forge andI think too, And I think he
had actually passed away last season,Oh he did he really? So?
I think he was in a caraccident, you know, Yeah, Alex
something was that Alex was Alex Collins. That yeah, I think let me
(21:06):
look that up to before I likeprematurely right, that's right, I'm gonna
I'm going to google that real quick. Well, I'm talking about my next
guy here. But yeah, nevernever drop a running back, all right.
The running back that I yeah likein this class is Jalen Jalen Wright,
running back out of Tennessee. Purespeed was was Was it Alex Collins?
(21:26):
Yes? It was Alex and hedid passways? Oh no, okay,
yeah, well I loved him onmy fantasy team. Thank you.
Alex did well. It just whenyou said that, it made me think
of him, you know, likenot drafting or a running back, you
know, going after looking at thosedeeper guys, you know, because he
did end up playing and people werestrumbling to get him, but not you,
because you're not me. And Icertainly wasn't dropping him because hes a
(21:48):
running back. Jalen Right out ofTennessee not not super small, five eleven
two tens so he's not a teenytiny scat back. But he ran a
four three eight forty, which fora running back is exceptional at two hundred
and ten pounds. Athletics score ninepoint eight, will take it. Yards
per carry last year was like sevenpoint five or something absurd, seven point
(22:11):
four. He went fifteen. Hewent for over fifteen yards on a carry
in fourteen percent of his attempts.I mean he's he's an absolute explosive running
back at not a super small framefive eleven to ten, you know,
home run speed efficient. So someof the cons are he's he fumbles a
(22:33):
lot, which which I don't Iused to dismiss it a ton, but
like him, fumbling a lot doesn'tdetermine how good he is. But man,
if he gets with the wrong coach, it can you fumble? It's
James Cook. I remember, Iremember this in the opener in Vegas.
I think you were there, RamsBills. James Cook fumbles the first touch
she gits ever as a Bill, and we don't see him for like a
(22:56):
month. He just gets relegated onthe entire room. Just grow yeahs.
So hopefully he doesn't get that treatment. But I think this is a guy
that's a borderline Balco. I wantto say, beco Balcoal used to be
twenty five to thirty touches. Now, if you can give me the Gibbs
role, if you can give metwelve carries and four targets a game like
(23:18):
that's that that could be RB oneproduction again depending on what TV lands.
And I think he could be thatthat that's ape the back. Yeah,
I really, I really I thinkyou feel like you just read all my
notes about Jalen right, because Iagree with you one hundred percent on all
of that. You know, sohe led college football actually in those yards
per carry that you were talking aboutjust a second ago, and I really
(23:40):
feel like maybe he really thrive ina role similar to like Tony Pollard when
he was with Zeke, you know, that like lightening to somebody's thunder Montgomery
kind of deal. I think that'sthat's where I foresee him going. Somewhere
like that would be a great landingspot for him. That went just really
be able to make him shine, you know for sure? Yeah, no,
(24:03):
I completely agree. Again, it'sall about landing spot for these for
these running backs. All right.I'm I'm the receiver and a guy that's
that I really like, and aguy that I can't believe you text me
this. I'm really I'm the presidentof his fan club. I'm like,
oh my god, I can't believeyou stole my guy. But go ahead,
Oh my gosh. Malachai Corley,Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, that's right,
(24:25):
five eleven, two hundred ten heis the self proclaimed and absolutely deserves it.
The yack king ladies and gentlemen comingin with eight point six yards per
at Carrie or catch their excuse mecarry because he's not a running back,
although although atho, hold up,hold up, you know, he could
(24:45):
potentially be used in kind of thatway, maybe similar to how Debo Samuels
used. Right, He's got fourcareer rushing touchdowns. Most of his targets
came either behind line scrimmage and shortyarded situations. He is a shorter,
thick king, and I think thisguy is just one that you should be
looking out for. He's so strong, he is so hard to bring down,
(25:07):
you know, Like I said, like this this guy, I'm just
I'm super pumped about him, andI really think that I need to just
shut up about it because he's justgoing to keep getting like steamed up,
just similar to like what happened lastyear with me with Marvin Mims and then
I'm over taking Marvin Mims in likethe sixth round and our drafts, and
right, that's right, you werelike you were like held back being the
(25:30):
Marvin Mims owner in every draft andyou just well, listen, men's just
talented, and I don't know whatthey were. I mean, god,
the continuing to Marvin Mims, SeanPayton trades up to draft this guy and
then doesn't freaking play him. It'sSean Payton's fault. Can we disagree that
everything should the same guy that youtreated for Zach Wilson. So that's all
I have to say that I haveto say about that. But yeah,
(25:52):
Corley's a stud. He's again,he's got that running back build I think
to me for him at the padon whose quarterback is? What the scheme
is? You know, that's athing. He's not an outside x stud
receiver, but he's a running backSlot Debo esque type of player for for
sure. And again after the showgo on YouTube Looking Up Steve Steve Smith
(26:14):
does a great breakdown of Malachi Coraleyand talks about how he reminds him a
lot of himself, what he needsto work on, but things that he's
going to and again a lot ofthese throat your small school kid western Western
Kentucky. Maybe maybe Farrell can popon and tell us a little bit about
Mela that went to Western Kentucky. There you go, what do they what
do they think about Malachi Corley.Who doesn't love Malachai Corley. I mean,
(26:37):
come on, like just and andit's a fun interview too, Like
I watched some of his interviews atthe Senior Bowl and just like what a
fun personable, you know, personality. And I mean like, look,
that doesn't mean anything for us,you know, fantasy wise, right,
but I think when you get inwith a team you have a good personality
like that, people are gonna likeyou. People are gonna want you to
succeed, and you know, Ithink some of those intangibles, you know,
(27:00):
really be kind of pushed asign.Yeah. No, I completely agree,
big big on Mecai Corley, especiallySteve. Steve Smith kind of sold
me on that as well. Limitaryrout tree fine, no combine testing.
A lot of these guys stren testingat the combine and anymore. But you
can go see he's a dog outthere. And uh, when I was
going to get to the smaller school, a lot of these smaller shop quarterbacks
are terrible. Like you'll see alot of his highlights where we'll run a
(27:22):
drag route and it's and it's aneight yard catch because the quarterback threw it
three feet behind him where you get, you know, like a Jay and
Daniels putting on the numbers. That'sa forty yard touchdown, you know,
So you know it's it's a lot. It's a lot different with guys like
that because quarterback is going to gosell insurance next year. You know,
quarterback is not going to be likeputting stickers on the boards in Louisville.
(27:42):
Yeah. Yeah, like he playswith is going to be significantly better.
I'm sorry, I don't know whothe quarterback is at Western Kentucky. I'm
sure you're very nice individual, butyeah, maybe maybe Scott can tell us.
Scott's a big league there. Perfect. Yeah, I'm on board with
Malachi. Malachy Corley, but aguy that I love. And by the
(28:06):
way, everyone put in the chatif you want to get a free shot
at a fifty dollars bestball team nextweek or Friday this week, put Lad
in the chat. Lad liked Ladmccakay. Who's the next guy that we're
going to talk about? L A. D. D. Lad mccakey out
of Georgia, six foot, onehundred and eighty eighty six pounds, projected
(28:27):
to go in the second round, could sneak into the end of the first
ran a four to three nine fortythirty six inch vertical. He's a polished
route runner, went to a bigschool in Georgia. You know, the
career production, isn't there, kindof a late kind of bloomer there.
(28:47):
But you can just see he's superclever with it. With his route running
is exceptional, like maybe one ofthe best rut runners in the entire class.
Hands exceptional, some of the besthands you'll find the entire class.
But I think he's a I youknow, the comparisons, the Adam feel
in comparisons to all that, allthat type of stuff, big slot player.
I think quarterbacks are gonna love aguy a guy like him. I
(29:11):
think he's gonna you know, he'sand people like who don't you know,
receiving stuff that It's not always aboutthe routes and the speed. It's about
with the nuance of the position,Like he gets his head around when he
should get his head around. Stufflike that that you can't test. Like,
quarterbacks are gonna love Lad mcconackie forfor sure. I would love my
Bills to draft Lead mcconachie. Maybethey can trade back in the second and
get him. I wouldn't even hateit to pick it at twenty eight overall.
(29:33):
But what do you think about lad? That's so I'm actually looking at
the draft order right now to seelike where he might like who's who's drafting
around that area? That like endof the first, top of the second,
Like where could he go? Ilike, I would love him on
the Bills. I think that's abrilliant landing spot too. So the Chiefs
draft at thirty two, I know, could you even that would be?
(29:57):
I mean, like they're rich getricher there. I don't even know if
they'll go. So let's talk aboutthat for a second. You know,
they've got Rice and listen, wegot the attorney on the show. Maybe
you can die if you have anytype of insight on that. But we've
got Marquise Brown, yeah, andthen Kelsey is getting older and all that
type of stuff. I don't knowif they necessarily need a receiver in the
(30:18):
first round, but I don't know, what do you what do you think
about? What about the Chiefs?I mean, if he if he fell
there, that would be I mean, you know, that'd be great for
them. I don't think. Okay, So let's just talk about Rashie Rice
for a second. Ela, Iam not a criminal defense lawyer lawyer,
so I don't, you know, keep people out of jail. I just
(30:41):
divorce them, which are good friend, Air Bofman said, you could almost
think that that's you know, prettysimilar, you know, and what if
the chiefs were a divorce, Ricecan I don't think anything big is going
to come of those criminal charges, just knowing how the system works, how
long, I mean, look howlong it took for Alvin Kimara system to
work its way through, right,it took forever. I don't think anything
(31:04):
is gonna I don't think we're gonnabe worried about a suspension here, you
know, at the beginning of theseason a season. Yeah, his biggest
concern is gonna be the civil lawsuitscoming after him, so he's gonna spend
a lot of money on attorneys andthat he really needs to focus on.
But I really don't think we havetoo much to worry about as far as
fantasy wise, with him getting suspendedor anything. And if at Max what
(31:25):
what a camera get three games?Yeah? Three or three or four?
Yeah? Maybe four? Talk downto three so something, Yeah, you
know, arguably a lot less seriousof a situation, although not not completely
unseerious. I'm not saying that sure, yeah, no, I get what
you're saying. Yeah, but yeah, yeah, So like I don't I
don't suspect that it's gonna really youknow. So if that's the case,
(31:48):
then I think Richel, if youdon't think it's definitely not gonna happen this
year, then I don't know.I just feel like they've proven in the
past that they trended away Tyreek Hill, right they they you know, they
sky more or this isn't very good. They don't really care about getting that
top receiver, so no they soso yeah, I think I think that
(32:08):
will be good and and a teamthat might take him little bit of time
to develop, But I think Ithink he's going to be in a quarterback's
best friend and have a nice longmade a superstar career, but a nice
long stable career there for for forsure. You know you mentioned Adam Feeling.
You know who's who's the first pickin the second round, the Panther.
(32:31):
There we go, there you go. I don't know if it's so
bad for a load of conking ornot. And that absolute circus of an
organization. I know, what whatwhat would a mess off? That?
Carolina is just a big big Jackyou're listening. I'm sorry, Jack,
big big big Carolina Panther fan downthere. They're they're in trouble. They
(32:53):
need all the hell they can get. Man, there's somebody, yeah for
sure. All right, I'll howabout you? You go next here?
And I know, I know it'sin the wrong order, but I gotta
scroll find my notes on the nextguy. But talk about your next receiver,
all right. So I've got JalenMcMillan here. Now I'm like scrolling
through because I just there lost him. Yeah, Jalen McMillan here, somebody
(33:19):
that I didn't do actually a lotof research on until like just recently,
six one, one hundred and ninetyseven pounds had a really great forty time
at four point four to seven.Look, not only is he fast,
great, everybody's fast, Okay, that's fine. Like this whole class I
feel is fast. Right, that'sthe first thing he says. Every single
one of these receivers awesome. Buthere's what sets him apart too, is
that he can stop on a dimeand then he can accelerate or right away,
(33:43):
so huge vertical threat, super athletic. He can use that ability there
to stop and go really quickly toreally manipulate defenders and kind of make them
look slowly, kind of break someingles. Twenty twenty two, best season
over one thousand yards, nine touchdowns, a little bit lower production this year,
primarily your slack guy. Right, his average up to target nine point
(34:05):
six, So they're not using himas quite the vertical threat that his speed
would say that he could be,so you know, they're using him more
like in middle of the field.Biggest concern for me what I see and
this is my my favorite stat ofall time Adam is contested catch rate.
Love a good contested catch right statpor Jalen does not bill hear from me
(34:28):
because it's three percent over his careerthis past season, big fat zero,
okay, zero contested catches. Thatjust says a lot to me when you're
a receiver that you can go upand get that ball and be trusted to
come down with it, right. So that's that is something that kind of
makes me a little bit more concernedwith him. You know, you see
him consistently ranked as like one ofthose guys you know coming in what like
(34:51):
fifteen, sixteen, seventeen at rankings, you know, for receivers here so
not going to be your top guy. But this class is so that I
think everybody's got so much talent. It's not you know, you've got your
top guys, right, but thenthen there's so much room for everybody else
to to like be productive in fantasy. Like, I think we have a
lot of options this year when we'redoing our drafts. Yeah, and I
(35:13):
think it'd be interesting his draft stock, you know, like you said,
there'snna be so many. It's topheavy with these receivers all first round,
half the second, second round.By the time, some of these guys
are going to fall because teams like, all right, well, I got
my ride receiver in the first orsecond. Now some of these guys that
that might be, you know, capable or deserving of that might just fox
and I gotta get my defensive back, I got to get my safety or
(35:37):
whatever. Jalen could fallow in thatarea. And I do completely get the
contested Catchwright for sure. I thinkhe's gonna fit in a more of a
big slot again in the pro,so I'm not super concerned. But the
contested part his breakout age was twentyyears old, which is really good.
He was injured last year that mighthave affected maybe that contested catch rate.
He had a great twenty twenty twoseason where he had seventy nine catches for
(36:00):
one thousand yards and nine touchdowns. So I think I think it's there.
And again last year, I meanJalen Polk Roma Dunes, I mean there's
a lot of mouths to feed therelast year too. So again I don't
think he's some top five guy,but I think he's a guy that you
get in the right system. Youknow. I didn't want to kind of
pick of all the top guys thateveryone's to talking about, but I think
(36:21):
it's route running smooth. He's ayou know, strong athlete, route good
route runner. Again, more ofa big slot I think. So yeah,
that's just kind of a guy thatI that I'm kind of intrigued by
keep my eye on, and whodrafts him and who his quarterbacks are going
to be. Well, it's kindof like, you know, some of
those guys last year that really poppedweren't ones that we were initially talking about
(36:43):
right off the bat, right likePuka, who was really talking about Pooka,
not that many people you know,or like the Mario Douglas right with
the Patriots, Like I didn't reallystart even like hearing too much about him
until training camp started and all veturingguys and the Patriots were like, this
kid is legit. We love thisguy. Yeah. So you know,
maybe Jaylen McMullan, maybe that's gonnabe his deal where he lands, and
(37:05):
you know, maybe it's just gonnabe the right fit for him. But
maybe he's somebody that we're not necessarilyin love with right away, but maybe
you know, has a really goodseason if he's Yeah, and a lot
of even with I got a gentlemanmore more of a dynasty type of a
situation where he might I mean again, the fifteenth receiver off the board in
a draft, you're probably not gonnabe targeting in redraft unless he lands in
(37:27):
some perfect spot. But but Ithink for dynasty, he's a guy to
keep an eye and maybe maybe youmove him up a little bit there again,
depending on where he lands. Buta guy that probably isn't gonna move
much higher than he is. Nowyou're your receiver out of the same school.
Now, Oh yeah, Rome,my boy rom A Jean's like,
holy cow, I mean, likewhat else can you say about him?
Right? I mean like he's justhe's phenomenal, like I Marvin Malik and
(37:53):
then Rome. That's where it isfor me with those three guys. Really,
I just I just love watching himand also to you know, look,
look this is complete vibes again, right, just the personality just shined
through with him at the at thecomp at the combin Yeah, the Combine
where he had those those fun interviews. But man, like I just he's
(38:14):
just got so much to be excitedabout with him such a dynamic player.
So I'm a big Rama Dunes fan. And right now you know something to
think about while you're drafting, Right, Marvin Harrison elite neighbors are never going
to be more expensive than they aretoday. I know, never never.
So if I see all these peoplelike draft I did draft last night,
(38:35):
and somebody took you know, Marvinin the second round. Sure he is
absolutely to I love Marvin Heerrison Junior, absolutely sound, But I don't want
any part of him until he getsto a landing spot and then I can
decide am I willing to spend youknow what he's going to be valued at
at that point. But with Rome, I'm cool taking him you know,
early drafts, before you know wherehe lands, because I just think he's
going to be productive wherever he goes. I don't think it matters his leaning
(38:57):
spot. And I think too withhim being the third guy, right and
that kind of tiering of our runof our receivers, he probably has a
better chance to land somewhere. It'sa little bit better of a situation like
for sure. Yeah, like Chicagowhen they get down to their ninth pick,
which would be a great spot forhim, you know, teaming up
there with Caitlin Williams, d JMoore, that would be fantastic. There's
(39:17):
a lot of teams that he couldhelp, you know, almost immediately,
So big big Roma Dunsay fan.Uh just yeah, I'm probably gonna be
taking him a lot of places ifI if I want to, uh,
if I want to pay that price, you know what say. I've actually
heard people say that Romadonsay could beI mean not not not a lot,
but I know I had Cody Carpentierin a podcast a couple of weeks ago,
and he was like, Yo,Rome might be could be the number
(39:42):
one receiver in this in this thisdraft class. It's like, you know,
he would be the number one receiverin most other draft classes that don't
have freaking neighbors and Harrison. Soyeah, I think, you know,
Lenning Spyt isn't gonna matter for hishis career. I think we'll be fine.
But I think as far as likepush these guys early, these other
two receivers early, I think that'swhere he has to be. I think
(40:05):
he's you know, it's a littleslight frame maybe or injury prone maybe a
little bit, but I think he'sgonna be great and Meg and we're nitpicking
with you these guys. We haveto like find something to say, you
know, trying to compare him tothese top two guys, it's it's it's
easy to get trying to nitpick him. Yeah, but you're right that,
(40:27):
I mean, he absolutely could bea number one in any other class that
didn't have you know, Marv.I saw somebody refer to Marvin Harrison Junior
as Marv the other day and itjust the Wet bandits from the Wet Bandits.
Yeah, that's that's that's so good. I love it. But yeah,
that's that's that's that's really great stuff. I think is gonna be fine.
I think all the guys we talkedabout will be We're really cool and
(40:50):
this is gonna be like one ofthe best drafts ever. I mean,
because this is a this is asuper hyped up like receiver class quarterback class
Bowers who we didn't get to thetight ends tonight. Besides Bowers, I
know, that's that's why I didn'tbother doing it. Like everyone knows Bowers
is the guy. I mean,he's a can't miss superstars at tight end.
Where do you think he's gonna land? People have said the Jets.
(41:12):
I don't know. They've got alot of weapons there in Rogers back,
I feel, and Rogers has neverreally used the tight end position. Now,
Rogers might be a one and done, he might play one year,
and that you're not going to passon Bowers because Roger, I don't know,
what do you think? I mean? Yeah, I keep hearing that
too about him going to the Jets, But I just I don't know,
(41:36):
I just you know, I mean, like, look, I'm a Packer
fan, so I'm very familiar withAaron Rodgers and you know, and not
really playing with rookies you know,as nicely as some other quarterbacks do.
So it may not make a differenceto these black Bowers. You know,
that is you know, the secondcoming you know, for tight ends.
(41:57):
But I don't know the Jets.Maybe I just feel like maybe there's some
other you know, positions there thatthey could use, you know, help
with, you know, maybe getsomebody so that you know, Aaron Rodgers
doesn't you know, tears something.I don't know, but I think you're
right though, I mean, probablyonly is there for one more season and
then you know, who knows whatthey're going to do at quarterback. It's
not going to be Zach Wilson, that's for sure. No, No,
(42:21):
I don't know where Bowers would be. Like I'm trying to look at the
order here right now. Yeah,me too, pulling it up now now
that I mean, we totally wentoff off the cuff here. It's completely
my fault. Denver needs somebody.I mean, Greg Dolcich really hasn't been
it. There's Matt So I don'tthink it's going to be at Falcons if
my guy there pitch so much.I tell you, I'm so excited for
(42:44):
Calpits this year. I hope thisis it. I know, I know,
he's finally got a quarterback, he'shopefully got a They got rid of
Arthur Smith, thank god, thatfreaking dummy. He's gonna to Pittsburgh and
ruined that whole whole offense really is, He's going to ruin poor Pratt.
Fire removes and and I tell youwhat if Brandon auk ends up in Pittsburgh,
like I keep hearing all these peoplesay on the internet, I'm going
to lose it because I think they'rejust gonna ruin him, like absolutely ruined
(43:08):
to Pittsburgh. So please, ifyou're out there, you're listening, please
don't go to Pittsburgh. Stay whereyou are, stay home. Worked out.
You can work it out. It'sokay, that's right, figure it
out. But yeah, so everyone, but before we go, make sure
you check lead in the chat lA d D for Lad McConkey for a
shot at a fifty dollars entry intothe Best Ball on Friday. Stay's great
(43:32):
things. Thanks for joining me.This was fun, This is great.
Isn't the first time. It willnot be the last this year. I

(44:20):
that you're calling it, and Idon't like X. I don't like the
I don't like the X. Ijust wanted to go back to the Twitter
with a little bird, but nobodyasked my opinion. So that is where
you can find me. Agreed. Will we find you at the Expo?
Yes, I'll be at the Expo. Can't wait. Already have my tickets.
I was so pumped for the Expo. Everything all planned out. I'm

like I did last year. Listen, that's that's for the after show talk.
You know what I mean. Peopleyou want to you want to hang
out with with Stacey and I andChris and Joel and the whole crew out
in Vegas. Yeah, some ofthe best nights ever just drafting, grinding
and going out to dinner. Hangingout Vegas is the best. And no,
(45:05):
listen, nobody does it better thanthe f FWC at the Circa Las
Vegas. I mean, the bestsports book by a mile. It's like
two or three levels. The foodis no one does better food for the
Thursday night viewing party. Now wehave a Friday night, say two viewing
parties this year, right, Imean you have to. I mean Thursday
(45:25):
night game, Friday night game inBrazil the Circa I've never been. I'm
not gonna let you without going to. They got the Circa Swim if you
want to, you know, ifyou want to jump in the pool to
watch some football. I don't knowif you're into that, but they also
have the owner suites down there thatthey always get. It's incredible time.
(45:45):
It's gonna be so much. Letgo, everybody, come out to Vegas
and hang out with us. Obviouslyfor sure, I can't wait. I
can't wait for the last part ofthe summer. Just you know that that
like end of July with the ScottishBolt drafts and then yes I will in
September, like just I love It'smy favorite. This is a love draft
week. But man, that's probablymy favorite time of year. And I
(46:06):
hate wishing the whole summer away toget to like because then because then you
draft and like, oh god, summer's gone, Like what's what has happened?
Uless, it falls the best seasonanyways, So Stacey, thank you
so much for for joining me,and thanks everyone for watching, and we
will see you next week here onthe Full Time Fantasy Podcast.
