I'm George Feast, and today is the game Marks Podcast
Hall of Games twenty twenty four. We are each inducting
our own games as well as a Patreon pick and
a special guest inductee. Man, I'm excited for this one.
Speaker 2 (01:00):

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Let's talk about this. Last week we played WWE twelve.
Now it is the Hall of Games episode we are
starting off twenty twenty five with a Hall of Fame
induction for twenty twenty four. I'm very very excited. This
is the second year that we're doing this again. We've
talked about doing this for a long time and we
(01:49):
finally decided to start doing it. How are you feeling
about WWE twelve last week?
Speaker 2 (01:56):
I thought it was a lot of fun to play
it live a lot of people. We're there for the
live stream for game beree. Yeah, And I was playing
with a few people later on that night on on
Fortnite and they were like, you know, that's a game
I never thought much about, but that was actually like
awesome to watch, And now I want to play a
(02:16):
wrestling game. So maybe games like that like ww twelve
for people who aren't necessarily going to sit there and
learn the new controls of twenty four and can use
the face buttons to do this, this and this and
do a finisher and call it a day. But I
had fun playing it. I actually got one of our
I did like a cross TikTok between our channel and
(02:36):
my channel, and I had to appeal it because it
said it was violence and teaching people how to go
violent actions. But it was just Randy Orton going through
a hell in his help. I guess it looked that realistic.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
But the graphics can't be can't be contained on the Wii.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Apparently, great game, great game. Oh yeah, gold absolutely, But
game Beree listen right now. I actually haven't checked it
in a few days because we haven't been live, but
we've worn at two thousand, three hundred and fifty dollars,
which is absolutely insane, way beyond my expectations.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Oh absolutely.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
We thank every single person that donated even a dollar
because it has been so rewarding just to know that
that money's going to a good place around the holidays.
And it's not over yet, because Game marks Mania is
gonna happen, and we're gonna let you know when that
is in the next week or two. And that's gonna
be a little marathon stream where we're gonna just sit down,
we're gonna play games, we're gonna do stupid things. All
(03:36):
the stuff you saw in our streams during Gamebrie, We're
gonna be doing that for a full day. George, check
this out. Oh boy, oh boy, bean boozled hot sauce.
Oh oh boy, this was a Christmas gift and I
might pull it out for that day. Oh no, ten
(03:57):
different sauces. Yeah, it ranges from Sacha to Carolina Reaper.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
So wait, it is hot sauce. Like, it's not hot
jelly beans.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
So they have a bean boozled with hot jelly beans.
This is based on that actual hot sauce.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
It's actual hot sauce.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Okay, if I'm going to open it, there should be
Oh there's jelly beans in here too. Oh no, oh no,
I've seen people have this the jelly bean version and
there's a spinner. So I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know, I don't know. I'm scared. But maybeoy
pulled that out for game marks media.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Oh man, I gotta I gotta get something equivalent. You're
not You're not in the trenches alone for this.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
We'll see how it goes. But we are here for
the Hall of Games. We each inducted a game, Patreon
inducted a game, and we have a special guest who
will be inducted this year. Oh, you're ready to get
even know the surprises.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
I don't know the surprises, but I know that we
have to start with one thing and one thing only
and that is the Patreon pick. Are you ready to
get into the Hall of Games? Are you ready to
start this ceremony and explain what we're doing here?
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Let's do it. Looking to add the newest wrestling figures
to your lineup, there's no better spot to pick up
your next figure than the Wrestling Collector Shop.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Started by collectors for collectors around the globe, Wrestling Collector
Shop has been serving the fans the latest and greatest
in wrestling action figure since two thousand and two.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
So the next time you're looking for the newest wrestling
collective to add to your collection, mix sure the Wrestling
Collectorshop dot com and use code gag marks to save
yourself ten percent on your order.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
That's ten percent off your order with code game marks
at Wrestling Collectorshop dot com.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
All right, so usually the deep Dive is brought to you,
but we'll say for this episode, the Patreon inductee is
brought to you by our friends over at Wrestling Collector Shop.
Use code game marks to saver saite ten percent over
at Wrestling Collectorshop dot com. You just heard the ad
you wanted to remind you just in case, you know,
(06:36):
maybe you hit the fast forward ten seconds button and
you missed that important part. Save yourself some money, All right, John,
here we go. There is one stipulation that we decided
on for the Hall of Games, and that is it
has to be a game that both of us played
forever on the podcast. Now, there's a term that you
like to say when both of us play forever on
(06:58):
a game. What is that term? Double piff Yeah, so
if a game gets double piffed, it is eligible to
be entered into the Hall of Games, as we like
to call it. But John, would you like to kick
us off with the Patreon pick?
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Oh boy? Fun fact, this was gonna be my pick
until Patreon picked it and I had to switch.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
So fun fact, it was also gonna be my pick
until I saw that it was your pick.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Well, George, the people have spoken, and Patreon's pick for
this year is a heavyweight. Literally, it's Saturday Night slam Masters,
arcade brawls, soup plexes, and chaos. What more could you want?
Speaker 5 (07:40):
Oh man, Exactly, Johnny. It's got all of the muscle
and mayhem of wrestling, plus the bonus of not actually
pulling a hamstring. Super Nintendo Genesis Arcade Cabinets. It dominated
everywhere like a true champion.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
But let's face it, slam Masters is the reason some
of us thought we could make it in the ring.
Big mistake. Huge mistake.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I don't know what you're talking about. Now. Representing the
twenty twenty four Patreon Pick inductee, Saturday Night Slam Masters,
please welcome Patreon Legend Soups. Take it away, Soups.
Speaker 6 (08:21):
Thanks Johnny and George. It's an honor to step into
the ring for Saturday Night slam Masters. This game was
Capcom's love letter to pro wrestling, and it didn't pull
any punches. Literally, the grapples in this game feel just
as iconic as a Haduk. This game wasn't just.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
A button masher.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
It was an event.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
Whether you were clearing the arcade on a quarter or
dropping elbows at home on the SNS or Genesis, it
made you feel like a champ. Let's not forget Mike
Hagar making his triumphant return as the Ultimate Wrestler mayor
where else can closeline your opponent and bounce the city budget.
So with that, Saturday Night Slam Masters Welcome to the
(09:07):
GMP Hall of Games Class of twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Ah, that's the soups Superman. We've now deemed him Superman
and other chests Superman.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Thank you very much, soups Is. This is his second
third actual appearance on a on a podcast. You did
something with him.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
He was on Clash and Burn, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
And then I think he had jumped in for something
and did a little voice once before for the show.
At one point, well.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Little Birdie told me him and our other pal, the
Elder Spork, are ordering microphones for a little special something so.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
That I don't know, but interesting.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
I mean Saturday Night Slam Masters, a game that shocked
both of us. You brought this to us because your
friend told us. We had to play it. We love it.
We played the sequel, we've played it for Clash at
the Feast, We've played it on live streams. This is
just a classic and it deserves to.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Be in right.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Yeah, we remastered it, so we played it a bunch
of times, and I'm happy to know that even if
Patreon didn't pick it, it would have been in regardless
between me and you.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
And deservedly so. Like you said, we've come back to
this game time and time again on episode on, on
re releases, remasterings. We've played it live on Twitch. It's
been Paige. Like you said, it's literally come up so
many different times that it almost needs to be whether
or not we actually had fun playing it. It's come
(10:41):
up so many times that yeah, it needs to be there.
It deserves to be there.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Now let's refresh everyone's memory. Last year, Patreon picked wrestle Fest.
So I think two pretty fancy arkid games going into
the Hall of Games. I love that. I love that.
Now I want to talk out your favorite just podcast
moment of the year something we did. I mean, obviously
Gamber is usually a given. We always have. Absolutely it's yeah,
(11:09):
what stands out to you? What have we done that
you were like, damn, that was cool? I mean pod
Exchange for me, pod Exchange, Damn.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
I think is the is the coolest thing that we did.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
You know, we started our own network.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Starting our own thing that uh you know, this is it. Yes,
it's a podcast network. Yes, uh, we we produced. But like,
at the end of the day, and I feel very
confident saying this based on conversations that I've had with
Clash and with Dylan. It's really just friends. Like we're
(11:43):
just just just a group of friends having fun and
the more I talk about. So, Dylan mentioned the Muppets
trivia thing before we started recording the other day, and
he got legitimately excited, like like legitimately like with like
(12:04):
the record button hadn't been pressed. He didn't need to
like like hype it up for anything. He was just
legitimately excited. He started putting together the presentation. He's really
looking forward to it. And to see him get excited
for stuff like that, to know that you and I
have things that we want to put together on are
super excited about, like that makes That's what makes me
(12:24):
excited to know that we're all like looking forward to
making stuff because it's time to hang out with our friends.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Time to hang out with our friends. And that's exactly
what it is. We've had so much fun. We did
the Hot Ones Challenge. Yeah, that's a that's a damn
good answer there. I mean, it feels like we've been
doing this forever, to be honest. Yeah, But I think
for me, I like doing the non wrestling games, like
playing the Super Mario games I've never played before and
going through that. And we have something planned for the
next month that's going back to that, and I think
(12:55):
it's going to be hell of a good time.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
I also think that's the scariest thing that we do.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah, we didn't know how that was going to go.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
The non wrestling games well, because it's it's scary on
multiple fronts because it's like, one, we've we've carved this
space in wrestling video games where we're in. You know,
there's there's other podcasts that do wrestling games, and you know,
we're all in like company, but we were one of
very few that just did wrestling, and now that we're
(13:27):
expanding and while we may enjoy other games, maybe we're
not as knowledgeable as with other games. So it's just
like a lot more research has to go in and
we really have to like do our homework double on
these things. And you know, we're expanding beyond consoles that
maybe we haven't played. There's a lot more kaid possibilities
(13:47):
that we can play now, and that's always challenged to
get to work. So it's exciting, but it's also kind
of kind of scary at times.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I still consider us a wrestling video game podcast. Yeah,
I think most people do. But it was nice being
the usuals. The listeners they stayed for that and we
were able to add on some new ones that haven't
been here from the start. So that was cool. So
we're gonna keep on going, keep on trucking. We're gonna
bring you all the wrestling content we can. I mean,
(14:14):
let's be real, we said it. We're running out of
wrestling games. We can't keep remastering the same once. Yeah,
we knew this was gonna happen. It took us five years,
which is incredible, and the ball's still rolling.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
So actually, we look at the list of games to play,
there's still a lot. There's still a lot, but it's
not as many. It's not as many as you would think.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, but I think this is my favorite moment of
last year and now this year it's our guest induction
into the Hall of Games. Last year we inducted the
man himself, Justin Leeper, one of our favorite guests we've
ever had on this show, someone we looked up to,
someone we idolize. This year, George the next induct He's
(14:55):
a game changer. He's a legend in his own right,
man who brought his unique brand of humor, heart and
headlocks to the Game Marks Podcast Universe. Ladies and gentlemen,
it's time to induct our dear friend, the one and
only Philip Seymour Cardigan, into the Hall of Games.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Ah, guys, in Phil's resume speaks for itself. From throwing
down with us on podcast episodes in the past, he
was part of Ready to Rumble, he did WWF Superstars
on the Game Boy, and he was actually in our
YouTube series GNP sixty four. So John, we gotta be real.
(15:38):
He didn't just play the games, he was the game.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
He brought the same energy to our content that he
brings to the ring. Chaotic, charming and completely unforgettable.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
They can't forget caffeinated, caffeinated, absolutely caffeinated. Phil, Buddy, Welcome
the GMP Hall of Games Class of twenty twenty four.
Speaker 7 (16:04):
This is Phil, said Phil Cardigan just wanted to say
how honored I am to be inducted into the Hall
of Games. In the Game Horse podcast, there's so many
people I want to thank.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
I narrated that it's just a couple. See.
Speaker 7 (16:16):
I want to thank THHQ man Ocumn Tony from SBR
in two thousand and nine.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
And I couldn't do it without beast to you guys right.
Speaker 7 (16:26):
Here, come on, come on, all right, calm down, Oh,
it's always the same thing with you guys, to get back,
get back enough enough.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Jeez, I've a married.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Couple anyway, Thanks for your support. Didn't do without it
all you guys as well.
Speaker 8 (16:45):
And oh Phil, oh Phil, I never changed Phil.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
I use budget for that.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
That was. That was incredible.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
That was going to Welcome to the Hall of Games.
I almost completely forgotten. We did GMP sixty four and
he had a hell of a run.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Hell of a run. I'm pretty sure he was the
light heavyweight champion at some point and the hardcore champion.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
We used Taco mi chinoku for his face, right, I
think so. I think so strangely worked really well.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
It's yeah, and there were there was like like so
many things that you could make. There's like because I guess, uh,
Main Street Posse were supposed to be in the game,
so there's so many sweater vests and like venerations of
the sort of like, well, Phil's got like a whole
It supposed to come out with the Gangrel goblet because
(17:47):
it was his coffee mug, right, but we changed it
instead of the it was the Gangrel entrance, but instead
he had some kind of uh it was like a
beer can, But we said it was the thermos.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Good times, good times. Oh let's stay, make a quick
little break here, we're gonna come back and it's time
for my pick. All right, George, it's time for my
pick now to refresh your memory. I inducted TNA Impact
(18:18):
last year as on brand as on brand could be,
but this one was no brainer. This game gave us
Shawn Michaels shooting literal hearts, Undertaker swinging a tombstone like
a champ. WWF. WrestleMania the Arcade Game.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Oh man, I mean, what's not to love? A wrestling
game with Mortal Kombat in its DNA, punches that sound
like cannon blast and doinks hammer. That's a recipe for
p chaos. If Razor Ramone dreamed in arcade graphics, this
would be it.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
And it wasn't about realism. It was about spectacle. And
let's face it, if wrestling isn't half insane, are we
even watching the same thing the day?
Speaker 3 (19:03):
Man? Where else are you gonna watch Yokozuna smacksimm with
a giant turkey leg. It's this is pure Magnus in
every single way.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
WrestleMania the Arcade Game. Welcome to the GMP Hall of
Games Class of twenty twenty four. When it comes to
WWF WrestleMania the Arcade Game, the phrase over the top
doesn't even scratch the surface.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
It wasn't just.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Another wrestling game. It was an explosion of chaos, charisma,
and cartoonish combat that threw the rule book out the window.
Developed by Midway, the same studio behind Mortal Kombat, this
game cranked up the volume with outrageous special moves, over
the top animations, and a roster that brought larger than
life personalities of the WWF to absurd new heights. From
(19:49):
Razor Ramone swinging a literal steel beam to Lex Luger
cracking opponents in half with the Torture Wreck. It was
a spectacle for the ages. This game wasn't about being realistic.
It was a about having fun. So today we honor
its legacy. WWF WrestleMania the Arcade Game. Welcome to the
GMP Hall of Games Class of twenty twenty four.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Bravo, Welcome, Welcome. This was up there if you if
I didn't pick, if you didn't pick this, this was
my pick.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
It's up on my wall like this is this is
my freaking game. This was episode what two or three
of the podcast number two. Yeah, it was one we
had to play. We loved when.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
You had slam Masters. This was my pick.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
And I don't even think you looked, but this was
tied for a while with slam Masters for the Patreon pick.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Yeah. So we're all in the same realm at least
we all agree. At least we all agree. But let's
talk about just games in general. What are your games
of the year or something you enjoyed playing this year.
Ooh ooh, well, Marvel Rivals at all I have.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
It's very very enjoyable. I'm having a good time with it.
I think, I think what the the fun challenges that
you and I did in Fortnite was was a highlight
for me this year, just just honestly getting back into
Fortnite this this year was was a lot of fun
and having the the experience with you is a lot
(21:28):
of fun. I'm enjoying Lego Lego Fortnite. It's it was.
It was a good time. But non non Fortnite related,
I will say, uh, Diablo four still up there with
the game that I play a lot, counter Strike still
up there is a game I play a lot. I
(21:48):
really enjoyed this, you know, this year's w W game.
We've put a lot of time into that, having so
much fun, so so so much fun. What about you?
I'm sure I'll think of others, but yeah, what about you.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
This is my first full year well not even not
even full year, full year back on Fortnite, I'd say, so,
I'm not really gonna count that started last year.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
That's true, we did start late last year.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
I haven't given Marvel Rivals a shot. Yeah, and apparently
there's some issues going on with some Japanese content that's
withheld right now. There's something happening. But I was listening
to someone play it the other day and I'm like,
these are the same sounds for Marvel's snap. And I
looked and it's the same creator. So that was kind
of cool.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Oh that's cool. I didn't know that.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Thor said something. I was like, huh, I've heard that
many times before.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Huh.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
So yeah, that was cool. I mean I got into
Usually I'm a one trick pony. I play either like
w W, Madden and maybe NHL. This year, I've gone
deep into two K twenty four, having a lot of
fun with the showcase right now. I started playing Fasmophobia.
I started playing, like you said, Lego, Oh my god.
(22:55):
I spend so much time on Lago this year. I've
it's definitely cool down. I'm still playing as of Empire too,
and they're still releasing content for it. I saw you
play that today. Yeah, I was playing. I set up
a large game on extreme difficulty today. I was gonna
see how far I could get it.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Then I had to leave. I'm looking forward to They
released a new Tech and I've been playing a lot
of oh new Tech.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
And I got back into Powerwater Simulator with some friends.
That's not really like a crazy game to play, but
it's fun, but it's relax. I got need for speed heat.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Oh okay.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Now, I'm not a racing fan, you know that. But
my friends had it and they wanted to give it
a shot. It was four dollars.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
I think that's on game Pass too.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
It's on game Pass. Yeah, but they wanted to play
on Steam and they gifted it, so I wasn't gonna
say no. Four dollars. How could you go wrong?
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Great?
Speaker 2 (23:44):
I am looking forward to next month Spider Man two.
Oh finally, if only Naughty Dog will follow with the
last of US two on PC. But it just didn't
seem like they were were gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Are there any games this year that are coming out
that you're looking forward to?
Speaker 2 (24:03):
G t A six? Yeah, is it gonna come out
this year? That's the question.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
That's the question.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Is it actually gonna happen?
Speaker 3 (24:12):
I don't know. I just know that there's the new
skate game is supposed to come out this year.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
That's gonna be good. And do you think that's gonna
be game Pass?
Speaker 3 (24:26):
I don't think it's gonna be h. I don't know.
One in three are on not two, but one and
three are on game Pass.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Oh interesting, Yeah, I have one.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Three is on game Pass as well.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Here's a War again this year too?
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Oh yes, you did?
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I have to finish that.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Oh hell Divers too. That was a game put a
lot of time into. Yeah, man, it's this there's a
lot of a lot of I feel like I went
back and played a lot of stuff this year, Like yeah,
just like, oh, you know, I've always wanted to play
this even though it's a couple of years old. It's
on sale, like like kind of what you were saying,
(25:10):
like you've you've never been like a big need for
speed guy or a racing game guy, but like it
was on sale, but he's play it now you have it,
give it given an experience shot.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
I think it'll be fun. Yeah, but okay, are you ready?
Speaker 3 (25:32):
All right, John? It is now my time. My game's
time to shine, and it's going to shine like the
masterpiece that it is a game that is more than
just a wrestling simulation. It is a wrestling way of life,
ladies and gentlemen. My pick the Hall of Games twenty
(25:54):
twenty four is fire Pro Wrestling World.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Whoah, fire Pro the game where every suplex, every pile driver,
and every forum strike has to be earned. There's no
button mashing here, George. This one separates the jabbronis from
the legends, and not to.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Mention, you know, the gameplay aside. The customization options are insane.
Do you want Kenny Omega to fight of a laser
rafter and the flaming electric barbed wire death match? You
could probably make that happen. This game lets your imagination
run wild.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Let's not forget the other workshop mods. I'm pretty sure
I've seen Sonic the Hedgehog take on the Undertaker in
a cage match inside a GameCube inside of Madison Square Garden.
But thanks to this game, it's chaos, but it's art.
Speaker 3 (26:48):

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Games and last year you picked Revenge. Yeah, we're hitting
all of the heavy hitters here, all the classes, and man,
this is awesome.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Hello, it's this is great. It's so nice. You know,
it's not going to be like a nationally recognized Hall
of Fame, but it's nice to know. It's nice to
know that, like we're building a basement, it's nice to
know that we're able to shine a spotlight on the
games that us and the wrestling community have voted on.
(28:39):
And yeah, yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Maybe you know, next year we can include a non
wrestling game, since that's the route we're going. You never know,
maybe maybe you never know. But that was the Hall
of Games for twenty twenty four. Thank you guys for
being with us once again for another year of the
Game Marks podcast. This is how we like to close
out every I think from now on. So just reflection
(29:03):
a nice uh John, give me that music. I'm generating
it right now. But okay, we asked our Patreon for
some questions to do a little short Q and a
very short Q and A at the end of this episode,
So let's go head on over to the soft Line.
Speaker 10 (29:36):
All right, I'll just kidding like John said, Uh, we
asked our Patreon, our mega box for some questions, a
little brief Q and a for uh, the soft lock
for this Hall of Games episode not a full episode
breakdown of the game, so we figured to do a
couple more questions than usual.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
First question comes from man who you heard from earlier
soups and what are some video games or pod related
New Year's resolutions that you guys have? Hm? Hm. We
didn't do an interview this year. I would like to
(30:15):
do an interview next year.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
We had SDL on standby and that fell through, and
then we're also supposed to have We're supposed to also
have our buddy Bronson on as well.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Bronson was supposed to be on. Yeah, but we did
have like we did stuff with Swaggle and all that.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Yeah, we we had we had I think I think
episode guests where they break down a game with us
is different than like a sit down interview. You know.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
I feel bad just making people break down a game
with us.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah, that's why I'm just like, the interviews are fine,
like if we if we sat with you know, because
Bronson was on with us, he played Here Comes the Pain. Yeah,
but now we can talk to him more about that,
because I do believe that we recorded that at cap
with Yes, it was Us Bronson and Max Caster.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Yeah, Max sat on the couch and was acting weird
as usual. I don't think we put him on the artwork,
but yeah, he was there.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
He was there. He was there for the game time.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
That was years ago.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
That was the first year of the podcastra Nuts. But
I would like to do something where we can sit
down and do like long form with you know, maybe
people that we've sat down, like maybe Phil has a
sit down episode with us, and like we actually just
like talked to Phil about gaming and you know, like
get to know fillmore.
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yeah, why not, Like I haven't seen that man in
a long time, So I look forward to chatting with
him once again. Hall of Famer, Hall of Gamer, Hall
of Gamer. Yeah, I want to do more interviews, of course.
I also want to do more history of Those are
some of my favorite to put together. And I think
(32:07):
I've thrown some at you, You've thrown some at me.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
We have a few, uh running list.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Yeah, whenever we run out of games, we could always
throw one of those in there. And it's a lot
of fun and we have a lot of wrestlers who
you wouldn't think. We're in a lot of games, and we've.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Had some people who said, when you break down this
specific person, I would like to be present for that.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Yeah, okay, so more of those. I mean video game wise.
I want to keep streaming. This is my first June
July as Pember cover in November, December, started January eight
months streaming, almost hit five hundred followers. I want to
hit the thousand by the end of the year.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
Absolutely. I don't know. I might be able to do
I think you could do it.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
We're very close to the five hundred, so that's a
big milestone. It's not as easy like Twitter or whatever,
blah blah blah. This is a little bit harder.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
So yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
I also want to add one more stream night, so
hopefully that's possible. That'd be cool. Yeah, make it happen.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
Make it happen.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
It's been a lot of fun, made a lot of
good friends.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Now, Techer here, what are your personal resolutions? How could
the game marks community help you achieve them and hold
you accountable? I feel like he's calling us fat is
definitely one of mine. To hit Cruiser weight again. It's
been years.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Yeah, I feel like that's always that's up there. Even
for me.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
It's just finds a lot of housework stuff, like I
want to finish this hallway, I want to clean the
yard of like all that sort of crap.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Yeah, that's There's There's two things that I feel like
that are on every person's or most people's. Uh It's
it's something regarding their health or fitness, and then there
is something about their current house or apartment or living
situation that they would like to either and update are
(34:00):
improve in some way. Yeah. Actually, it's always very.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Actually made a list. Oh, like I have an actual
like list list on my notes that I could check
off throughout the year. Maybe I'll just say it right now.
I have my last wrestling match this year. I don't
think many people know that other than select few, but
I want to go out the way I want to
(34:27):
go out. My last match was like a thrown together
four team thing that kind of set me off to
be a manager, because yep, I didn't. I couldn't. I
just couldn't wrestle anymore. My back is I don't even
know what you want to call my back. It's beyond
in shambles. It's almost pretty much broken, and my neck
start of spinal stenosis, which you may have heard of
(34:50):
Edge and Stone Cold and all them. Hey, they all
had a last match right after a bunch of surgeries.
But that's beyond the point. We're going to go out
the way we want to go out. We're going to
have that one last one when remains to be seen,
but it's gonna happen. I know the right people to
talk to. They know about it, they're ready for it.
(35:11):
I know who my opponent's going to be. And then
we sell off into the sunset. But commentary is very fun,
and I have no problem having that last match, closing
that chapter and going and doing what I love.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
So now this is just the last opponent that we
had talked about being your last opponent.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
I don't remember. We'll talk later.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yeah, yeah, man, I think that's great. I think you
know when we talked off the show about you stepping away,
I know that it was a hard decision for you
to make. And as great as you are a commentary
(35:54):
and you are great at it, I know ever since
you've stepped away, you've always said, I want to do
one more match, but I want to do it this way,
or and then like a couple of months would go
by and you're like, you know, I was thinking about
it again if I do do one more match. I
think I wanted to be this and it was different,
a different idea than the last time that you talked
about it. So I'm glad that it's on your list
(36:17):
for twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Oh yeah, I know exactly. I got everything in place.
Don't you worry, don't That's that's great. I'm excited for you.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Man.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
One other thing on here that kind of goes back
to the last question video game pod related resolutions. I
want to continue learning game Maker two D, which we
touched on what last year. I don't even think of
this year. I think that was two years ago. I
tried making a wrestling game and that it kind of
fell flat. I've made people move on a surface. I
wasn't able to make hit detection or any of that.
(36:47):
I want to like actually take courses and figure it out. Yeah,
it did make a cool driving game that was fun.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yes, the Simpsons one right, the Simpsons Park Simpsons.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Yeah. I want to start making maps in Fortnite on
and I had an idea and I gotta see if
I can make it happen. But do you remember the
Megacity map from chapter four.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Saw I saw you at it.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
I just think of like a rooftop where it's just
you could just slide around, maybe like shotguns only or something.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Instead of you know how they have the build maps
where it's the two and then the angled maybe instead
of that, it's like a like a one v one
or a four v four. But you start on the
bottom and then you like launch up and then the
it's all rails and regardless of like you can't get
off the rails, you just have to transfer to different rails.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
That could be cool. That could be cool. Yeah, we'll see.
That's another thing I'm gonna have to like learn, So
see what I have time to do?
Speaker 3 (37:44):
That my floor lava but with rails.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
That would be so cool, all right. Tecker also wants
to know what would a Game Works podcast triathlon look like?
And could you beat your co host in it?
Speaker 11 (37:55):
Can tell you right now, John, despite all of his
uh the list of injuries that he just rattled off before,
has been and will continue to be more athletic than me.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
And I'm very.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Confident that he and it's a game marks triathlon. It
could be.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
It could just be take a shot, go throw a
touchdown in Madden sixty four and then, I don't know,
hit a finisher in two K or I don't know,
you've already won. You've already won part of that already. Oh,
that's true. It could be. Basically, it could be. It
doesn't necessarily have to be uh like a like a
(38:35):
Gauntlet of Games kind of thing where it's like, all right,
trick attack in Tony Hawk and then uh, gotta do
uh when when the uh the battle royal in No Mercy?
Speaker 2 (38:47):
Oh god, that could take days. We had a scavenger
hunt years ago, like in college when we did Halloween
scavenger Hunt, and one of the things was to go
to the person running its house and be than one
on one in rust and it would be like one
hundred points because he was nasty at the game. I
don't know if anyone actually did it, but it was
on there.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
That's man. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Now sport wants to know what's one gaming accessory you're
looking to add to your setup in twenty twenty five.
I mean, I'm good. I just got a foot pedal.
Foot pedals, great, mute my chat and George see if
the wire reaches Yeah, that's that's I got ages on
(39:32):
this thing already.
Speaker 3 (39:33):
That's so cool.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Stream deck it's so cool. I'm glad I didn't get
the bigger one because I really only need the front
buttons to run a stream and then you could uh
cycle in the next page for like, I got apps
on the next page, and then the next page is
all the Adobe apps.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Yeah, the big ones like Gigantic.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
It's almost that's expensive. Ship so many buttons. Yeah, this
thing's awesome. I don't really have anything I want to
add to the setup. I thought maybe I bought my
wife for Christmas in twenty fifteen a DSLR camera. I
was thinking of seeing if I could hook that up
and if it would be better than my Logitech here,
But I think my Logitech's four K, so probably not.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Might I don't know. You might you might be able
to control the focus better.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Maybe she doesn't use it, so give it a shot.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
I don't really know. I'm like cutting back on stuff, Like.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
I was thinking a third monitor, but I just got
this monitor mount for two, so probably maybe not yet.
I was thinking like a little guy like here or here,
I saw I.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
Know a friend of mine who has like a regular,
like normal height monitor, and then they got one that
is as wide as their current monitor, but it's a
ultra wide but it's really short. Yeah, so it's like
a twenty seven inch ultra y but it's super thin
(41:04):
and it actually fits under their current monitor and it's
angled and like almost sits on their desk.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Okay, he's a.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
It's actually it's actually the person who made the theme
song for this podcast. That was his setup for a
long time and I always was so curious. I'm like,
what do you have on that? And Honious like, it's
what I use for audio engineering. He's like, I have
all my like digital mixer is on the screen so
(41:32):
that when I look down it's like I'm looking at
a board, but it's all angled and it's in front
of him. Like that is very smart, and he's like,
I can't take any credit from it, Like every producer
has this in their house.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
I was like, that's thinking, Like I never would have
checked screens or something for Twitter and all that some
people do.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
Oh man, people get crazy with their setup. So like
I've never thought, uh to do anything like this, just
because it's it's so intense. But there's people who will
get an ultra wide monitor and then they'll put two
vertical monitors on each end, so it looks like a
giant like long h.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
Next time this guy's live noube gamer, I'm gonna send
you his link and you have to see a setup.
He has a camera on his stream from the front
view like he's green screened, but then he has the
behind view also of his setup. Oh it's insane. He's
like in a command center. He's a photographer podcast. Yeah,
and he plays FOURT nine and all. That's like, that's
really cool.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Dom tom Odinson, that was his Uh he built this
whole crazy Uh shit.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
I forgot. I can't go on the Battle twelve we're recording.
Uh yeah, I'm pretty good with accessories right now. But
germ Ons, you know what game franchise would you like
to have resurrected? I feel like we we get this
question every so often. I'm just happy to have GTA
six coming back. I guess that's a resurrection, right, yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
I you know. I saw I saw an interesting post
on Reddit. It was like a wrestling video game reddit,
and they said, do you think that fire Pro Wrestling
World is going to is the last one.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
That can't be.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
And someone someone said, I think the first and most
popular reply on that thread was what would you change?
Like if the game's not if the game needs something,
what is it? And so many people were just like,
I guess the only thing that I would ask for
(43:40):
is more match modes. But like visually, it's in line
like the it's not it's not meant to be a
hyper realistic wrestling game visually, so like you don't need
to necessarily update the graphics. I guess that was one
of the arguments that was made on this red thread.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Right, I mean you could yeah everything creation suite, oh
yeahs like all that kind of stuff. I could think
of a bunch of things like we always say, do
Japan license.
Speaker 3 (44:05):
Yeah, hell in a cell match and elimination chamber style match,
Like more match types would be great, Like maybe if
they wanted to add like backstage, so you didn't have
to necessarily make the U the or the arenas or
areas that emulated a backstage area. But like I always
think that there is a market for additional stuff like that.
(44:28):
But it was just a very interesting question, like if
you were going to add something to this game and
like resurrect it? What would it be? And I was
like five Parrestling World. I don't know if they are
or if they would.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Hmmm mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
I would like forget well, I would like to get another.
Uh do you ever play Left for Dead? Oh? Yeah, yeah,
I think another Left for Dead?
Speaker 6 (44:53):
Well?
Speaker 2 (44:54):
They did, didn't they under a different name?
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Yeah, it's Back for Blood. It was the developers that
made Left for Dead. But I want like a like
a license to either that or give me like Portal three.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
Well, okay, okay, hang on, hang on, because Spork wants
to know what game would you instantly buy if it
got remastered and the gameplay was updated? Oh okay, so
kind of along the same lines.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Yeah, okay, So resurrected means that it's a game series
that stopped and then didn't continue for I mean, the
easy answer for me would be the Force Unleashed. I'll
think a Force Unleashed three.
Speaker 2 (45:33):
You know what I didn't know had so many games
Dead Rising. I thought there was like one. There was five,
four of them four five got canceled. If they redid
the first one, that would be sick.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Um.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
What about give me Jurassic Park for Sega.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
What about another Arkham game.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
You know they came out with the one recently for
the Medaquest, but I want one on the damn console. Yeah,
you're gonna be Batman on a not a quest. That's
pretty damn cool though, Yeah, and not.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
Not like something that takes place in the same like
world or the same like continued storyline after Like, I
want another Arkham style game. I think that would be cool.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Oh damn.
Speaker 3 (46:21):
I got a four point seven out of five stars
in the Metastar mmm mm hmmm. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
Keep making spider Mans too, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
Spider Man's I'll take absolutely, you said g t A. Yeah,
that's not necessarily resurrected though, that's just no.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
But they did try that one a couple of two
third years ago with g t A three and San
Andreas and all that, and they were not good.
Speaker 3 (46:47):
I'll take another Star Wars battle Front. Okay, I never
really played that one that. I actually think that you
would like that game a lot, especially free right that's Eya,
the new one, the new ones, the new ones on
the game Pass game past. You should play that. It's
a lot fun. I think you would really like it.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
Well, you know which ones I'm going to say, and
then it's going to roll into what we're playing next week. Oh,
because I am deeming January tmn T month and we
will be playing Teenage Mutant Ninja. Turtles for the ne
s one of the hardest games I've ever had to
(47:26):
play in my life. If you think Mario under Water
is hard, way to play as Rafael underwater and it's
not easy.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
Oh yes, I know exactly what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
And then we're going to play Turtles in time. But
maybe somewhere in there Revenge Tredder's Revenge.
Speaker 3 (47:47):
Yes, I'm in. Maybe maybe we do a little mm hmm,
as I say, maybe we do a bonus app Maybe
maybe maybe we do a bonus episodic YouTube play through.
Were you and I try to play through it.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
I don't think I got that.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
I think we said we were going to do something
with it in the past, so I never picked it
up because I was just like, oh, yeah, I'm gonna
play this with John. Oh wait, and then it never happened,
and then I was like, oh, yeah, I forgot this
game came out. I was supposed to play it with John.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
I think it's on game Pass, right, it's on something
it's on something. Yeah, we'll figure it out. I know
I didn't pay for it. Yeah, I mean that's the year, guys,
that's the year. That's the Hall of Games. Let us
know if you have any gaming related resolutions, what accessories
you want to add all of the above, So we
(48:44):
want to know about it.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
Oh yeah, I know. I know someone in our discord.
I think we're saying that they were looking to either
expand their VR or get VR. Well, I'm back. I
wonder if that happened.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Yeah, what, we completed the first ever game Marks Podcast
fantasy football season, So you did. You were not a
part of that, George, But I would like to congratulate
the winner, Marcus Romero me by point eight? Wow, point eight?
(49:22):
Something like between point seven and point eight. We were
sweating the entire last game of the week last week.
It was crazy. He had Jayden Daniels. I had zach Ertz. Now,
if zach Ertz gets the ball, Jayden Daniels is the
one throwing it, but I would get more for the touchdown.
And he got it in overtime. The thing is Jade
(49:43):
and Daniels ran the ball to get there and that
gave him the edge.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
Oh, now here.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
The other thing is the winner got figures from Wrestling
Collector shop. That was what we played for. It was
a free league and we yea. The winner got three figures,
which he chose. I didn't I really want to win
that to begin with, so I'm kind of glad someone
else won. But when it came down to it, I
was sweat. I'm like, I need to win it. And
so I came in second and Sport came in third.
So it was a fun time.
Speaker 3 (50:10):
Oh yeah, that's a fun season. That's awesome. That's awesome
to do it again. All right here, Well that's it.
