Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, and welcome to side Quest. This is our weekly
video game show here at Geek First. I'm your host,
Dold musse away with me a couple of guests. We
got the prideful Travis Snow with the bluest tongue I've
ever seen, looking like Papa Smurf over here. How are
you doing tonight? My friend good?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
It's just a logan.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yesterday she had a birthday party and she came back
from I had this blue popsicull, teeth, lips, tongue.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Everything more blue than I am. But yes, Happy.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Pride Month everybody, and I'm doing well. We got got
a fun week ahead of us. This is like that
we talked about last week, the GV ten year. We
don't have any ten year stuff this week, but this
just feels like the kickoff because we got a busy summer,
but this feels like the kick Oh man. We got
good movies, we got good video games, no TV shows,
but good stuff just all around.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And I can't wait Summer Games Fest.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
I'm getting that E three vibe, you know, we're getting
that late edition people being Oh, I'm doing a conference,
you know, PlayStation Nintendo. I'm waiting any day I'm wait
for the notification, but I'm excited for this week and weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Switch too. Yeah, we have also the summer of Taylor here. Taylor,
how's it going.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
It's going very good? Happy to be here. Yeah, switch
to this week.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, what's the deal? Because you know, you have your
own pre order, but you also have mine on your account,
like any any updates? Because when I've checked, it's like
mine's like shipping on the ninth, Like, what's going on here?

Speaker 5 (01:23):
I check that soon said canceled? I think last.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, unless it's an additional five charge, right, let's.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
See, I can get you a live update here. Let
me just see. Let me see. What does it say
your orders? It says arriving June night. Still, that's all
it says.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I hate to see it. Well, yeah, tonight we're gonna
be talking all about we'll doing some predictions rather for
Summer Game Fest Xbox Showcase. There's like ten, at least
ten fifteen showcases this week, So if you guys have
predictions for like anything, you know we're going open. But
those are the two big ones.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
So yeah, we're gonna talk about what we kind expect
or maybe what we want to see or just making
the most raw dog predictions you want, you know, whatever
you want here. Other than that, just one game we've
been playing, all three of us together, and then a
little news about the Black Panther game, which has unfortunately
been canceled. So in terms of as, as Travis mentioned,
a lots going on this week. So Summer game Fest

(02:19):
opening Night live. I don't even know if it's called that,
but I guess that's Game's Calm right, But anyway, Summer
game Fest. The first thing is happening Friday night. There's
livestream there along with a IOI interactive thing is happening
that night, so we'll do an episode Friday night. So
I guess Tuesday or Saturday morning rather. You check your
feeds there.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I'm used to the Sidequest stuff released on Tuesday, so
check that out. We'll be doing something kind of that
night for a Summer Game Fest. We'll probably you know,
go live for that one too so people can join
us in the chat. And then Xbox is happening on Sunday,
I believe, so we'll cover that on the usual Tuesday
drop of side Quest and then yeahs, as Taylor mentioned,
Switch two is coming out this week. I might not
get MI until next week. I don't know when you

(02:59):
guys are getting yours, but we're gonna we'll really just
have to play by ear and see when we get
these consoles in our hands and when we've had a
little bit of time to take them out of the
box and get some impressions, and then we'll do pretty
much like an emergency sidequest. Whenever we're able to do
an episode on covering that console a little bit, we
will do that. So just you know, subscribe because then
you'll get that notification as soon as we release an

(03:19):
episode talking about that bad boy. Do you guys have
an update like from your thing? Like I guess mine's
June ninth now, But do you guys have anything from
your wherever you pre ordered it from? Do you have
an update on when you're getting yours right now?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Mine says the fifth I don't believe it because I
can't remember what it said back in the day. But
last time I got my PS five, the latest console
I bought was from best Buy is a couple of
days late. So I'm just assuming it's like that, and
it's kind of fine if it is, because just too
busy just a bit, Like I even think if I
get June fifth, I don't even think I'll be cracking
it open. So same thing, I won't have too much.

(03:52):
I'll definitely bust it open, do some UI and some playtime.
But yeah, just because we got it, there's Ballerina and
then Friday, not only summer games, so it's like Predators,
so there's a lot of stuff until like Saturday. I
got some filmings, so like who knows, but right now
June fifth, So.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, oh well, I got the call from TV Games
and they said I could go on the fourth at
nine pm, but I can't because we're podcasting, so I
can't go at nine pm and get my what would that.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Be Ballerina reviews? Is why you can't be there?

Speaker 4 (04:21):
No Ballerinas on the Thursday, but we're podcasting for originals
and twenty eight weeks later retro, and the only the time,
like if you should get.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
That bad Boy at nine pm, you can skip one
of those.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I can't.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
It's because if if we're to move one of those,
the only available date is the next Friday, which I
have have to have that off because I have a
date night with Madison.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
So it's it's a rock and a hard place.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Cancel the date podcast your switch. Yeah, that's fair. I mean,
you know, that's fine. You can wait and get play
with the rest of us when we.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Well, I'll be going the next day, like right before
Ballerina reviews, so I'll be late to pick up Travis.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
I'm gonna go and get the switch.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Wait a second, taking the shoelace express now all of
a sudden.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, why why wouldn't you just pick me up and
then we go get the switch instead of being late
and trying to screw me out of popcorn.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
I'm gonna pick pick you up. We're gonna go get
the switch.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
I'm gonna park the car at the theater and leave
this switch in my car at while we go into
a movie.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
Hell no, are you insane?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Man?

Speaker 5 (05:18):
God dang, that's fair.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
It doesn't have a good rebuttal for that one.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I can't. I can't. I can't re butt at all.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Maybe any Yeah, we'll talk off castsk ye.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, anyway, once again, you know, just subscribe because that's
when you'll, you know, find out as soon as we're
dropping an episode talking about the switch to the three
of us are getting at Kirklin is not unless he,
you know, finds one on the day of and his
itching for one all of a sudden, but I doubt
that is gonna be the case. Before we get into
some predictions, we'll start with a couple other topics. Over
the weekend, we played some battle Front two, which, you know,

(05:51):
I think twenty seventeen games, so nothing modern by any means,
but kind of getting back in there. And I didn't
we do a stream of this game, because I feel
like I have played it at some point. I don't
think I've ever like downloaded in my dea.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
We did the weekend of Star Wars celebration. We did
a little synergy. I think we had a lot of
connection issues we did.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Kyle was there too.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Kyle was there, Yeah, I remember, because.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Where was that recorded? Whose house were we at?

Speaker 5 (06:15):
For mine? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Okay, because I remember when Kyle got there. I think
it took like a forty five minute, Like he came
there and was doing nothing, and I was like, oh,
I felt really bad.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
But yeah, we we did a long time ago stream this.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
You know, didn't we watch Game of Thrones after that?

Speaker 1 (06:30):
If you did, then I feel like I was not
there on this night. Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Remember Game of Thrones been the same vicinity time, but.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Uh huh yeah, so anyway, but you know the first
time i've really just kind of I played for a
few matches in a row kind of thing, and I
kind of I think I was surprised at how much
I like, really loved it. I mean, I you know,
it makes sense. It kind of has that same like
Lord of Rings Conquest sort of format, I guess, or
Battle for what. I always forget the names of these
different Lord of the Rings games, but has that same

(06:57):
sort of Yeah, Conquest is the one there. We're kind
of play as the grunts and then you build up
points and you can play as the hero characters, which
is always very exciting. I'm not great at this game,
so I could never get enough points to play as
like the big head honchos like Taylor's run around the
stage is Yoda. I never I remember got to that point,
but I definitely was ripping up some ewalk play and
I feel like that was my that's where my calling was,
and I was disappointed that I couldn't always plays that

(07:18):
you walk, But I guess it makes sense they you know,
based on the maps and whatnot. But I really liked
the e walk, even though you know hide skill cap.
You know, trying to shoot people with a bow and
arrow when people have laser blasters not easy. But I
like his moveset and the goofiness of it, so that
was that was really fun.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yeah, I have not played this game in a long time.
I don't remember why I didn't, because I still remember
back then like the only thing, and I don't know
why I bought it. I remember I wasn't gonna buy it,
but then I eventually just took the plunge saw enough
stuff that looked I guess hype at the time, and
I still had a really fun time back then with it.
So I don't know why me and Taylor ever stopped
playing it. I guess it is kind of thing where you,

(07:55):
you know, play.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
A game enough and it goes away.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
But and obviously the servers not dead, but were probably
more quiet, so maybe it was harder to get back
into a match. Right now, it's like a trending game
and it like broke its Steam player count, so yeah,
it was tons of fun to get back in there.
So I don't think we've ever done like a three
man team, so I was good, And I like that
because it's you know, one, it was great to play
a game together and get a win.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
You know, it's been it's been a watch since that happens.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
But you had a good streak there and then the
second you know, we're doing good.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Five and rollan. We had some bad ones. But I
like that.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
It's just I guess it's just maybe it's as somebody
that loves to go there, Buck Wilde. I love that
you can die and ten seconds later, all the time
you're always back right. That's why I like rebirth resurgeons.
But this is even to a bigger degree where no
matter what, even if you're in the final circle per
se in a battlefront, you're coming back right.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
So there's I like a lot of variety.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
As far as you got the four classes, you got
multi like little sergeants, you got the heroes.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
And what I was saying to Dill is what I
like about.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
It is most of the maps it's like a very
similar concept, whether it's like a capture of flag or
seeking destroy and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
But it's like.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
There's like little variations throughout it, which I think kind
of keep you engage.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's not Okay, you're playing five. You know.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
The only thing that's different is the map, but it's
the exact same over and over, and I think it's
a really good call as far as this is nothing
of change. I just like that you switch back and
forth between the good guys and bad guys because you
always get that perspective of okay, it's i'd say, each
round is one round your defense and won your offense,
and I think that just kind of keeps it fresh,
even though you're doing the same things over and over.

(09:29):
Find if people kill them doing objectives getting points. So no,
I had a really good time with it. Obviously, it's
tough because we got the switching, lots of stuff coming out,
like destranting Donkey Kong. So I kind of wish this
spike Capain a little earlier because I would play a
couple more in the future. Maybe still will boot up
for an hour or two. But yeah, I had a
lot more fun. I kind of forgot how much of
a good time it was, and it was definitely making

(09:50):
me juice in the hope that they would do something
for a third you know, I don't know if that
ever will happen.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Those two games had.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
A lot of problems for different amount of reasons, but
uh yeah it was a he's a very good time
and I played it like a little bit alone, but
I definitely prefer playing with the squad of people because
even if we're on the same vicinity, you guys talking
about what's going on, or give them a little updates,
like just here in Diller or Taylor, be like, oh,
Vader's on the map, and it's just like, oh, man,
like what's gonna happen now?

Speaker 2 (10:15):
So yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
It was a good time dipping the toes back in there.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
So yeah, I think it's funny you mentioned that, like
the if they would make a third one, because this
game came with twenty seventeen, so obviously previous generation. But
even when we were playing, I'm like, man, this game
looks like a little bit rough for like just not
it's not even that old, but just in terms of
like you know, when they're using the likeness of an
actor and it just looks super janky, it's like more
noticeable than if they went for a more stylized look,

(10:38):
you know, going for that kind of realism as you
were talking about, yeah exactly, which was that that was cool?

Speaker 5 (10:43):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
But yeah, like even like open one Kenoba's beard, it
just looks like it's just a few polygons somehow, Like
even though this game's pretty modern, so I could I
could see that they're being you know, a space for that.
And I guess because that had like all the all
this most of the big things from the you know,
the sequel trilogy. But I guess, you know, there's like
all the TV shows that the Ahsoka's Mandalorians of the
World that I come out, So I feel like there's

(11:05):
a lot of room for getting a bunch of other
new characters in there as well. Get Taylor's thrown in
there as a playable character. That would be that'd be cool.
But Taylor, even before this weekend, you've been playing this
game for the last couple of weeks, right, I guess
since like and Or, you kind of been hyped again.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Yeah, I I hopped on yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
A little bit ago before because I saw that there
was it popped up on my feats. People were getting
back into it. And I saw this comment from the
one and Or actor, which can't remember his name, I
have his face in my mind, but he was and
Or's like close friend in the show. I can't remember
he was from from Ferrex, but anyways.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Mahones, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
I have.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
I believed that Jim Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Sure.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
So I hopped on and I was just having a
blast because the games it loaded up right away. And
this is one that I played off and on for
the past couple of years, but not committed to like
I have been this past little bit. So when I
get on there, it's nice because I've got all my unlocks,
I got my classes and they're ranked up hi.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
It's like, okay, I don't have to worry.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
About buying them any of my upgrading it in my
cards or anything like that. I can just get hop
right on and just start playing, get back into the
group of things. And it's funny because earlier in the week,
my friend he started playing first, but he sent me
a screenshot of him in a lobby and I was like,
are you on right now?

Speaker 5 (12:28):
And I sent him a shot of me in a lobby.
It's like, let's just play together. What are we doing?
So we just joined up and we started playing a
lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
No.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
But yeah, I've just been getting back into the space
battles and doing the heroes and villains and just all
the different game modes and stuff, supremacy, and it's just
been an absolute hoot. I am absolutely there that this
game should get at Battlefront three. I think it's criminal
that we have not, because it's just it's a curse
when they have the original Battlefront one virtual Battlefront two,
and we were on the custle getting that third one,

(12:59):
and they have like ground into space battles that you
can just go up to space and come back down
to the planetary side, and just the campaign looked really
cool too from what they showed from all that that footage.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Yes, mister Snow.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
What was the controversy at the first one, because I
remember both games had bad launches. I remember two of
the micro transactions. What happened with the first one that
was also like kind of snake.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
The Season's Pass, it was brutal.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
I'm pretty sure that killed it because each each so
there was a Season's Pass with four DLC's, and each
DLC came with a couple of maps and I believe
a new character that you get, so you get Lando
and some of them, and et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
But each pack was like fifty sixty Bucks.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
It was just it was walking ridiculous and it was
one of those I'm pretty sure they announced it like
you know, Dylan's favorite, or they announced it right as
the game's launching, where it feels like, okay, this DLC
is this stuff?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
You guys just held back.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
And that was the Again that was EA is still
bad in portions, you know, it just laid off a
bunch of well we're gonna talk about yay, yeah, in
a little bit a little bad. But I feel like
back then was peak EA was making terrible decisions and
that's what sucked about. I'm not saying these were like
the best games of all time, but it always felt
like they got their knees cut out from under them
because both times something happened.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
It was that.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
But now I remember, yeah, the DLC and that that
Michael transactions.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
That was the same thing.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
The height of people being oh the second you heard that,
he was like a back of all, I'm not touching
that game. You know, like even Shadow of War had that.
It's like games all over So, okay, guys, a reminder.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Yeah, when I mean the first one, Yeah, I do
miss that one with some of the stuff that they had,
But the second one was a vast improvement.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
But I remember.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
I remember that that year when it came out and
I was playing it and everyone was just livid. I
got to pay how much to just play as Darth Vader.
I can't play him with the bass game at the start,
and that was a kicker.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Lots of people were pissed off, and I was. I
was kind of pissed off too.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
It did kind of suck, But you know, at the
end of the day, I was playing those multiplayer games
because I was trying to earn the in game currency
to buy that character.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
I was working, working to work.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
And it was not too long after that they reversed
it and they made all of those characters like immediately
accessible online, and then they changed a bunch of things
and by this by this point in time, the damage
was done. But I stuck it out. I kept playing.
I beat the campaign, I played all the multiplayers still,
and they were making significant changes. And by the time
we got to the Rise of Skywalker DLC and they

(15:09):
released the Celebrations edition, holy shit, they've totally changed over
the game. They updated the they changed their combat system too,
because the card system was different with the abilities, but
they overhauled that. I remember that they changed it. They
made so many improvements, They added all these new characters.
All the DLC was free moving forward, the only thing
you're paying for is character skins, or you can just

(15:32):
earn the in game currency to get those skins, which
is not that difficult because they just shovel those credits
towards you to get those in game skins. And then
when they added all the Clone war stuff, I was
over the moon because you got Grievous, you got dirty,
because you got obi Wan, and like the Clone customization
is incredible, all the different emodes and animations, like it's
just phenomenal. So this is a game that deserves that

(15:53):
that third one, because we need more Jedi and we
need we have all these shows. They get Accolyte in there,
get mandal Lurian in there, like playing his Mando, like
that would.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Be another huge pop up.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
I think you were talking about that, Travis, where they
should have just made like a Mandalorian game and capitalized
on it.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Oh yeah, but I think I guess we'll find ou
next show with our pizza bit if they missed the
boat or not? Right, if the Mando's a billion dollar movie.
Then I think there's tons not even that, whether it's
Battlefront three, like a lot of characters you could add there.
But I feel like they might have missed their their
time with both the game and even just like have
Battlefront three and they need sort as.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
To pop off a little bit. And I don't know
if that's happening.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
So yeah, I feel like Battlefront is, you know, enough
of like an ensemble type thing that like you could
slap Mando's helmet on the cover of that game and like,
I don't know, make him like the star of it
or something, you know, and like really sell it as like, oh,
if you want, we're not gonna make a Mandalorian send
alone game, but you can play him in Battlefront And
here's all this content. So Taylor, when you're saying that
there's like all these skins you can unlock, are those
the ones that like when I click on a character

(16:50):
and see the locked ones, Like, are those all the
ones in the game or other other ones that you
can pay for that don't show up until you've like
paid for the DLC. How does that work?

Speaker 5 (16:59):
Ah?

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Well, there's two ways to get certain skins. There's doing
milestones in game, there's certain achievements, there's certain missions whatever objectives,
and then there's the ones you have to buy with
either real currency or you're in rate.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
But what I'm asking do those ones that you have
to buy do they show in games still even if
you like haven't, Because that's one of the things that
shocked me is like how few skins there are for
like a lot of characters don't have any costume at all,
and then some of them, like Yoda, it's like you
have the hood on or you don't, and that's like
the limit of the costume. So I just feel like
if they went Battlefront three route, and let's say they
made it a full price game, not like a free

(17:32):
to play thing, I think they could, you know, make
all the characters included for not free, but when you
buy the game. But then like just have costumes as
like the DLC and that's where you make your micro
transaction bucks and people will pay big time for that.
But then you cannot, you know, compromise the balance of
the game, which is you know, such a I guess
even compared to twenty seventeen, is a much more common
way to release shooters or competitive games or online games

(17:54):
multiplayer games in general, So I feel like that could
really work. But that's one of the things I was
shocked about is just how few costumes are we're in here.
That seems like such a layup for so many Star
Wars things we're talking about like Obi Wan, and they
don't have like old old Bend, Like they don't have
like yeah, they don't have like that version. Like there's
so many that are just missing that there's barely any
of them in there. So I feel like that that
could be a good route for them to like you know,

(18:14):
still have like their crazy monetization, but it's still be
like a balance game and not having people like pissed
off that they can't play like Vader from the get go.
But it's weird that like, yeah, like first one or
that like of the remakes at least came up twenty fifteen,
then this came out twenty seventeen, super quick turn around,
and so I feel like maybe that sour to some
people too. If you're like I just bought that last one,
you're already making me pay for this new one, and

(18:35):
there's micro transactions everywhere, So I don't know, I feel
like a third one could, uh it could be really
cool just because of how many characters. Even, like, you know,
since that time of twenty seventeen, we've had like the
two Star Wars Jedi games from EA as well and Respawn,
and you know those are those are pretty big games
that they're like buggy, I guess, but there's still like
games that people quite enjoy and have like increased that

(18:56):
stock and maybe that trust with EA. And I was
saying too when we were playing, like, I think cal
would be a really cool character to have in the
mix there as a playable character, since he has like
originated from the video games and it's kind of a
bigger deal now he's had two games to start in.
So yeah, I would be it'd be really cool to
see this series come back. I think it could could
use that. And I don't know, I mean not that
I've played a ton of this game, and I'm sure

(19:17):
there's still tons and tons of maps I haven't even seen,
But I feel like all the theories you had their tailor,
like there's a lot of ways that they could reinvent
the mechanics, but even just new characters is really what
most people I think want from Star Wars anyway, just
solid mechanics, get all their favorite characters in there, and
you're good to go. So yeah, i'd be curious to
see if what do you guys think the likelihood is

(19:37):
percent chance that we get a battle on three? And
I'll say just the next like ten years or something.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Two things, Well, before I forget, you remind me about
it was twenty fifteen, twenty seventeen. It would be nice
to get a battle from three that I feel like
they're not trying to time with a movie release, because
I feel like that's what they're always trying to do, right, Yeah,
So that's one point before I forget. So, like I said, currently,
I it's tough because this spike it it's.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Tough because two things.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
I legitimately do think that movie next year factors into
some things just for the future of Star Wars in general,
because I think if that does hit big, they get
a nice little, you know, push up. If not, then
I feel like a lot of people like, yeah, we're
not gonna risk the Star Wars game. And the other
thing is just how long does the spike last? Right,
because it can be just be is it for a moment?
Is it these last next couple weeks? And then in

(20:25):
two weeks Stars Battlefront is, you know, maybe not back
to being where it was a couple months ago, but
it's dropped, you know, fifty sixty percent, you know, and
it's slowly gonna peter off. So it's tough because we
don't have that and we're closer to it. But I
think right now I'm atna. You know, it's a baut
from three, you'll give it a thirty percent. That's where
I am. But again, ask me different times. Ask me

(20:47):
in a month from now, and if this game is
still popping off, then I feel like that's actual physical
data for EA to look at and be like, hey,
this is something where could be valuable. And again ask
begin a year when it's pulp culture data. So that's
where it's like, could ever change?

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Right now?

Speaker 3 (21:00):
I feel thirty. I don't think I'm too confident on
it because I think lots of companies are pretty skittish
on just kind of every type of game, and especially
with that or front of the last ones maybe being disappointing, even.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
With the spike, they might feel like we kind of
got away with it.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
We're happy people are playing it now, but let's not
get back to that territory.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Yeah, and Outlaws, you know was UI self and not EA,
but it did not do well, So that could be
a data point of like, ah, this is kind of
risky and it's not like necessarily up. But yeah, I
don't know. I feel like there's I don't know, definitely
a good chance that they could like get a pretty
big success out of this. But yeah, Taylor, what's your
percent chance of what's coming back?

Speaker 4 (21:40):
After seeing some of the team come forward and say
that it's not gonna happen, Oh, I didn't even see that.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yes, was that recently though? Or was that like recent?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
I think it was.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
I saw the team talk about but I saw one person.
I saw their verse if something not saying it was impossible,
saying like, oh, if it's like if it's on the table, we'd.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Love to do it.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
But I didn't see the negative comments, so that sucks.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Interesting.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
I guess there hasn't been like an actual official no,
but there you go.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Yeah, I mean that would probably would imagine that'd be
someone who like left the company and could say that now,
but if you still work there, that'd be a really
crazy thing to say. But one argument I was going
to say, too like, I don't remember really where EA
play as a subscription service was back in twenty seventeen.
But I think to your point there, Travis, of like
keeping a player base, keeping people engaged, like you know,
I just downloaded this game through game Pass because the
AA play is integrated in there. I don't know if

(22:31):
they would launch a third game day one into like
their streaming service. But even if you like maybe get
a discount if you're like subscribe to EA play slash
slash Slash game Pass, that's like, you know, a great
way to just boost you player count on any multiplayer game.
And so maybe just having that bit more of an
ecosystem around it would mean there's just more players and
more of an audience, and then then they can really
nickel and dying people with the with the skins and

(22:53):
and make a big profit that way, even if a
lot of people are just getting in the door for
free or quote unquote or like in there with their
there had prior to.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Even if like ub plus, how much is that that's
like the double digits, right, I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
It's twenty bucks. At his point, I think, to me, even.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
If EA did that, where hey, you can do the
same regular EA Play but for a new game like you,
and I don't know how successful it is, right, because.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
How much is EA play if you just get that
on its own, like I only it just use it.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Seven ninety nine, right, Kirkle was saying, because Kirkle was
tum about Game battle Front through EA Play, and I
think you got it for a deal, So I think
it's like seven ninety nine, which is pretty good because
most of the time, like they put their older games right,
like I'm always playing Madden a year and a half
behind because I'm playing like I just got Madden twenty
five and Madden twenty six is about to come out
next month, so they they usually make sure their games
are a bit older.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
But here, yeah, so they have two tiers. They have
a play and EA play Pro. EA play is seven
ninety nine. As as you said, Uh, you can play
trials of select games for up to ten hours, unlimited
access to a collection of eight top EA titles. So
who knows what that really means.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Matt, Like I'm in right now, like a year behind,
so like I think they consider that like a.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Top you know, Okay, and then a couple other things
and then at the pro levels when you get day
one access to full games premium editions, so so like yeah,
pretty much like twenty yeah, I guess twenty three dollars
a month.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Uh, that to me is where again I don't think
it's gonna happen. But even then, right now, I think
that's way more assigned point, whether it's for a view
or just trying it for you even with someone like
you don't like that's how you played out Laws, right,
same thing of like, hey, I don't know if Medal
Musk is gonna pay a hundred bucks for a Star
Wars game, but twenty bucks play it for a month.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
See you go from there?

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Great, same for Assassin's Creed, uh whatever have the new
game is called ideah, just jump in there for a month.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
And I think if you've got enough people that would
try that out and then maybe if they like it,
then maybe commit to staying subscribed or purchasing.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
And notorious like people forget that they have subscriptions. So
you often I feel like you do get a second
or third month just from people not like remembering to cancel.
I almost got pegged for a second month of you'd
be uh when I was playing Assassin's career because I
just almost forgot to cancel it and caught it like
the day before was about to renew, So that was
lucky one.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
So that would be a potential perfect game. So I'd
like to see it happen because it's a completely different
ecosystem now.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
So and that's good to know about ya.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
I did not know that they had a pro tier,
so I don't have any Like I'm always fine playing
the Madden games a year behind. But now in the future,
if there's an EA game coming out that I am
interested in, and that's that's a game change right there.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
I didn't even know that. So cool. I learned something today.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
So yeah, yeah, but uh okay, well we can move
along then, staying in the EA realm of things. Black Panther.
This is a game I was announced a few years
ago from a new team I forget the name. It
was a startup studio. But the game and that studio, well,
I guess the studio hasn't been canceled. The studio has

(25:45):
been closed, and the game has been canceled. So the
Black Panther game is no more. This not to be
confused with The King Captain Soldier Spy, the the Hydra
nineteen forty three game. This is not that one. This
is a second game. And we also know there's an
Iron Man game that's still out there in the EA,
so we'll see what happens to that one. But this
one has officially been canceled after apparently four years of

(26:05):
pre production, so it never entered full on production. Apparently
they were staffing up in the last few months, so
maybe it was like getting to that point or just
on the cusp, but pretty crazy, and it seems like
part of that is maybe that this game was very
ambitious like that it seemed like they were implementing a
bit of a Nemesis System type thing. A lot of
the people on this team came from Monolith and so
you know, had that expertise. Once again, that of course

(26:26):
is like trademark or copyright, like you can't use the
exact Nemesis system, but they can, you know, do variations
on it. This game was gonna apparently involve scrolls as
like a major villainy thing. And then maybe the biggest,
most interesting part is that there was gonna be this
element where you you know, T'Challa, Shuri and kill Monger,
we're all characters and at the start of the game,
you pick one of these three and then the other
ones become rivals as you're going through the world, and

(26:48):
that would be where the Nemesis type stuff would kind
of come into play here. So that's something like, at
least for me when I was reading through some of
the details, the things that stood out to me. But Travis,
I think you were pretty bummed to get this, especially
after seeing some of the like details of the game.
But yeah, what are your thoughts here?

Speaker 3 (27:03):
The news even more so because it was always just
a concept, right. I feel like we've done many casts,
and I feel like, look in the ethos, I think
we did some topic me and Dale at some point
and either it was our one or two, because our
one might have been like a Marvel lines four or
three whenever we did in the era. But you me
on both our listen many times talked about, Hey, out
of all to me, the games that are not Batman

(27:23):
or Spider Man, what is the most potential for like
a great comic book, video game and Black Panther to
me just screamed money. Now, obviously we're in a different
generation and there's lots of or lots of layoffs in
general in the business, there's like the Star Wars thing
track records for Oh Guardians or Midnight Sounds not doing well.
So maybe there's a thing of, well, this is not
a guaranteed hit, right, But at the same time, I

(27:43):
just thought, as far as the potential, take the sales
out of it, of you get enough good people working
on it, and it sounds like they acquired at least
some people that have done some good things in the
past and things like like the Shadow, Like, to me,
that's a good fit the same way that team people
from those team were a good fit for Wonder Woman,
that was a good fit for Black Panther, Like even
in that game, I feel like I'm in Middle Earth.

(28:05):
They get that capture that vibe very well. So for
me when this was announced, other than it being EA
being that Okay, let's see how this goes, I thought, Okay,
this is kind of unlimited potential. And that's before I
did hear the things, But I thought, just what Conda
alone as a location is just kind of a groundswell
to do so much, and it's like a thing where
it's been explored still very little even in the MCU, right,

(28:28):
And I just thought man, there's so much potential there
and even that stuff of yeah, not just black pants,
like play as kill mong or a character that has
really popped up a couple of years. It feels like
they were smart, especially to the story was I can't remember.
It was like the original Black Panthers was stepping down
from the mantle or fought them or something like that.
The plot details in the scrolls were the villain. And

(28:49):
I think this is the perfect place for the scrolls
because I've always said I don't like them in the
sense of you know, long term com books with the movies,
because you get invested in character and then as we
know from SCROTI, you know, like, oh, this characters that like,
I'm kind of bummed we're in a video game world
that's like secluded to itself. You know, you can tell
within that story. I don't have years of vestments in
these characters. That to me is a twist for having,

(29:10):
Oh that's interesting and having the multiple characters. So it
kind of sucks to me. The concept of the Great
Game was always a great idea. The teams sound like
we had some potential there, but now some of these things,
as far as the villains, I liked the story beats
that sound like they're really going on their own path,
which is something that I've always complained, even though I
love the games, the Spider Man games don't do enough
of Lots of times it feels very kind of coloring

(29:32):
the lines of combook stories you've seen a hundred times
in animation or movies like the Doc Awk or The
Green or Venom. Right, It's there's not too much different,
It's just Okay, I'm playing a very good video game
version of that where this sound like they're kind of
doing their own thing, kind of like the Batman Arkham
series where until we got Tonight, they're really taking Okay,
we're taking the world in the characters, but we want
to tell our own stories within it. So yeah, this

(29:55):
to me, from everything, this hurt a lot. The few
concept parts out there a concept art, right, but I
could look at it and be like, man, this would
have been looking great on my PS five or Xbox
one whatever it may be like, or PS six maybe,
but yeah, it's a to me, it's a big bummer,
and it has made me more cautious. I am now

(30:16):
going I was iffy. I'm buying that Captain America Black
Panther game. I'm going to buy it now because I
like how we don't know how many more superhero games
we're gonna get in the next little bit, And now
if I want to play as any type of Black Panther,
it's that because for me, that game is okay, you
play as a Black Panther, he plays cap but then
those two other characters played, I'm like, I don't really

(30:36):
have much interest in, like, you know, another soldier and
another warrior.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
From a cond like I just want to play as
these two.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
But to get any content in Black Panther world, I'm
going to be buying this game. And yeah, to me,
it's a big bummer. It sounds like it had, you know,
just potential. You never know, could have came out and
not been great. But at least I would like to
have the chance to experience it not being great. And
I feel bad for the people that worked on it
for all these years. It's like other stuff, it's like
obviously bad reception, but with concord, like it's tough for

(31:06):
these people that work on stuff and they don't even
have anything to show for it.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
That to me must really because not only are you
losing your job.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
At least, if something comes out and it's underwhelming, you
could still try to look at it and be like, hey,
I'm gonna highlight what I did on this project and
what I did well, and hopefully you know, some things
were done well. But in every movie, TV show, game,
for the most part, it's not one hundred percent and
zero nothing was done well. There's a few spots We've
talked about many years of products that come out that are,

(31:33):
you know, maybe truly atrocious, but most of the time
there's something there, and it just sucks that now it's
like you've been four years and yeah, sure you got paid,
but you don't have any work out there to show
off or even look back on it. Like even if
the game bombs, like well, at least I worked on
a Black Panther game, and it shows how much things
are just not safe, Like I thought Black Panther would
have been a safe one. Even in this press release,

(31:55):
these bastards are like, but don't worry. We ensure the
Iron Man game is gonna have you know of love
and care. I'm paraphrasing, but like they're pretty much just
been like that Iron Man game. Don't worry, it's gonna
come out. Yeah, all right, like that's what you're gonna
say after this. It could be Arman is a bigger character,
but it's like at the lowest point of me believing
that's actually gonna happen. So all around, a really big bummer.

(32:15):
And I opened five years from now something happens where
there is a studio that does something and we get
to be actually excited again. But uh, big bummer. Losing
one woman in Black Panther in the past like six months.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Those were two too sweet for sure.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Yeah, and those are two not that, don't get me wrong.
I actually really liked the Guardians game, but that wasn't
what I was super wanting, right, same thing Midnight Suns.
I wasn't super wanting that. And then once we saw more,
I got the games like, oh this is great. So
it's kind of funny the games that I was very
low on end up coming up with the games that
I was like, oh, I cannot wait for this, wait
four years and nothing.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
So yeah, big big disappointment over here.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Yeah, Taylor, I don't know if I've talked to you
about this game. I don't know if it's ever come
up on like an episode of side quest that you've
been on, but I don't know were you were you
anticipating this, looking forward to this in the same way
that Traypse.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
And Travis is probably like, way way higher than in
terms of ten I'm definitely I would have loved to
have played it. I definitely have a level of excitement
because I think the Nemesis system is fantastic, and that's
one of my favorite things about those Lord of the
Rings Middle Earth's games. I think that it's a shame
that it's not employed and many other titles and franchises

(33:23):
out there, but it just would be nice to kind
of get my hands onto into something a bit more marble.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
I know there's Midnight Suns and that is on my
list to eventually.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
Work my way there, but I don't that's right cheap
to get right now it is. I'm waiting for that
that six ninety nine Battlefront tube saye.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Before I swear at Christmas I saw it like for
ten bucks or something.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
Maybe maybe this Christmas, I'll keep my eyes open for
that sale price and I'll snag it finally. But I mean,
I if the switch to wasn't coming out, then I
was strongly looking at the idea of getting a PS
five because I didn't want to play Spider Man PC
even though it is available there.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
But I thought, oh, well, like PS five is getting some.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Pretty cool stuff, and I mean, Spider Man is one
that I enjoyed playing and I'd love to get back
into that world. But as far as it goes for
just Marvel games in general, Xbox does not really have
a huge arsenal, and even when when switch To does
come out, like obviously, yeah, we're playing Mario Kart, but
I'm really excited just to pop on Ultimate Alliance three

(34:24):
and just start giving that a go again. I've just
been kind of getting the craving for that. So yeah,
just I think to have something like this get canceled when.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
I don't Marvel's it's struggled for sure. The cinematic universe
is not in like a perfect standing right now.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Struggle, struggles, struggle, We're not.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
The past tense part yet. We gotta wait till next year.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
So I definitely like I'm there.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
I have I have some excitement for some of their
projects and what's going on, and I think that it
would be nice to have a not a tie in game,
but just a Marvel game where I could just exert
my citement into this franchise. I never got on board
with the Avengers game. I think you guys played that,
but that died pretty quick, didn't that. Yeah, because they
canceled some DLC too for that, didn't they Yep?

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Same, Yeah, there was a ton of rumored characters and stuff,
but one of the characters that did get out the
door was Black Panther, which had a super great move set,
which is one of the reasons why I was excited
for this game. But between that and even just you know,
Marvel Ultimate a Lines, which has simpler move sets overall,
less buttons per character, but like Black Panthers always a
super duper fun character, super agile, great combos, and so

(35:30):
that's why I was like, really, you know, looking forward
to this game, I just feel like that characters per
report and now obviously we are still getting one iteration
of them through this nineteen forty three thing, but I
kind of feel like it's gonna be more of a
narrative game. I don't know if it's gonna be like
combat first, but yeah, kind of a disappointment.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Nonetheless, they don't forget that you got Blade hopefully coming
the Xbox.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Hopefully that's true.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
Is that still coming out?

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Well, as I say, I'm saying hopefully, you know.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I mean, Xbox did shut down the other Arcane, so
you know, hopefully this one is safe for the time
being since their games have been a bit more commercially successful,
with The Death Loop in particular being their last title.
But man, I I can't wait for Blade. That's uh,
that's gonna be. That's definitely like still I think top
three for me. The excitement or like most anticipated games
right now, just because I love the studio, interested in

(36:17):
the character. Something different for them too, should be should
be a good time. Yeah, okay, how about we take
our first break here. I'm gonna tell you a little
bit about Patreon, because that is the best place to
go if you want to support this show and make
sure that we continue to make podcasts for years and
years to come. Uh, you know, it's the It's the
absolute best way to support us. You know, if you

(36:39):
even jump in on like the lowest tier, that is
just infinitely more beneficial to us than even just like
if you if you gave us like a million YouTube
views somehow, like well, on one person, it's like that's
how much more meaningful it is to hit up the Patreon.
It helps us out an extremely high amount. I'm trying
to pull up my list of Patreon producers here can

(37:00):
and help me find this freaking banner. I can't see
it anywhere, but I don't.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Think he's in the side quest banner.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
But it's always that, is that the issue with it?
April Darkness, Aaron Braiden, Jack Grant, Jack.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Grant, God loves Me sixty nine, Super Bad, Mike, Jeremy Renner,
Charlie Randell, Hotel There. I don't think of missing anybody else.
If I am, then I owe you a big shadow.
But yeah, there's even free tier, which we post some
stuff on, like post the schedule sometimes if there's questions
put out there. So even then if you want to
just like little updates, there's a whole variety behind the

(37:31):
scenes stuff and lots of good stuff coming this next
month or so.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
So yeah, yeah, oh, you know, episodes go up there
early and ad free, so it's it's a great place
to go to get the best versions of these podcasts.
And yeah, as you guys mentioned, we have just so
much up there right now, so many retros and you know,
Bread and Butter's, and I'm sure are gonna go up
there nice and early, like, for example, pretty soon we
are recording our Top ten Video Games episode, and that's

(37:57):
gonna be up there probably nice and early on Patreon
for it's you know, in the free feeding all that
kind of thing. So definitely go check that out. And uh,
if you want to skip this ad that's about to
hit you, Patron's place to go. But otherwise you can
listen to this quick ad break will be right back boom,
we are back. Let's talk a little bit about Summer

(38:18):
game Fest, Xbox showcasing all these other showcases that happen
around this early June period of time. Uh, you know,
I feel like right now we don't know a ton.
I mean, if you go on the Summer Game Fest website,
there's a list of like fifty companies that are involved,
so you can look at that and be like, oh,
Capcom's here, what is Capcom doing? So that you know
there's there's you can find little hints there. Other than that,

(38:39):
we know that dest Ranting two is getting like a
big new trailer situation there. I forget what they announced exactly,
but they're doing something and then the officially called double
oh seven First Light. Is James James Bond gonna be
in the title that or is it just double O
seven first Light?

Speaker 3 (38:55):
I bet or at least he'll be double it is
right now, double seven first Light, Right, that's what I thought.
But the word James Bond or double seven will be
in there, I think there's Yeah, definitely don't put on
a game.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Called first Light. They're idiots.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
So I think you'll get you'll get one of the things.
Devils might just be like, it's easier on the box,
are easier to type, easier, se o, you know stuff.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
But yeah, I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Yeah, so we know that we were getting a gameplay,
as they said, gameplay we'll see, you know, as a
GT six game players. An actual gameplay, we'll have to
wait and see. But yeah, that's coming out on Friday,
along with some other like they said, some hit the
news too, which they're getting. My hopes up for another
new map for World of Assassination. It's probably not gonna
be that, but I will be. That would be my

(39:41):
announcement of the show if that's the case, just because
that's one of my favorite games ever. But yeah, so
those are two things we know about, but other than that,
it's pretty wide open.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Trans mind I too, don't forget okay.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Sorry, Mind's I published by IOI is getting that game's
coming out next week, I think so. I guess it's
just like a launch trailer.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
What.

Speaker 1 (39:58):
I'm pretty sure it's coming out.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
It existed till today.

Speaker 5 (40:02):
Now it's it's been a.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
Few showcases and things over that shows the impression. I
think it was at Game Awards, which I don't you were,
you know, away on pat leave at that point in time,
so maybe that's why you missed that one. Maybe maybe
that was the first time it was announced. But uh, anyway,
we're gonna go around the table here do some predictions
for what we think we're gonna see here. I you know,
if you want to get super specific, I think that's fun,

(40:23):
but you don't have to. You can do whatever you
want here. Who wants to take it off? Who's got
a first person they just can't wait to hurl at
the screen?

Speaker 3 (40:29):
Here I will because I think I could. It's not
a draft, so it could be like specific, but I'm
gonna be I'm gonna start with a prediction, but then
kind of go into what I'd like from that prediction
because I think if I put that price tag on
the full prediction, it's not like real. But speaking about that,
James Bond one very happy. It's real, very happy. It

(40:51):
sounds like we're getting some sort of gameplay because that
at least what I would hopefully. That means the release
dates in the next twelve months, and that gets me
very exciting because the movie that's not the predict Now
that's just a whole but you know, I'll say next
twelve months it's gonna come out, and that's exciting for
me is because we don't got a movie coming for
a very long time. My prediction they do not show
the face. I'm gonna say that James Bond is going

(41:13):
to be a movie slash TV actor. Now, someone might
be like, oh, that's a lame prediction. The reason why
I don't think it is is because I was talking
about this Emily, because it's like I two ways ago,
I said, should I predict it's a movie, TV or
video game one? Because to me, if it's just a
video game actor, it's like, okay, that's like it was
just Troy Baker's face. It's like okay, Like that's cool,
but I don't think it's the hood spa. But at

(41:34):
the same time, I think a movie TV actor is
like risky because I feel like if you do that,
you've taken your your name out of that hat for
the movie. Right, unless this there's some huge, massive announcement
that Keeley's got, like a you know, a scoop on somebody.
But so I'm just gonna the blanket prediction is Game's
gonna be on the next twelve months and it's gonna
be a movie slash TV actors. That's the prediction prediction.

(41:56):
What I think is the smart way to do this
is I could see a lot of young actors unless
you really have nothing going on. Like I said, say, eh,
I don't know if I want to do that, because
maybe I do want to play Bond one day. My
prediction is it's gonna be an actor that is like
in their fifty to sixties that they dage, So someone
that could never be cast as Bond currently. But it's like, oh,

(42:17):
you could have seen them, Like I don't think it
would be, but like, uh, Tom Hardy, Right, he's a
guy that around ten years agoes thrown around tons down.
Now he's gonna he's gonna be fifty soon. You don't
think he's gonna actually be Bond. And I don't think
they'd get Tom Hardy, that'd be a massive get. But
I think someone like that where you could see them
be like oh, even if the actors like sixty sixty five,
you'd be like, oh, yeah, they would have made a

(42:38):
great Bond. And they could also do that because it's
not like, oh, man like their names out of the hat.
So that's what I think. The approach is gonna be
that it's gonna be a movie TV actor, but someone
of a couple generations ago, so it's not all you know,
like I said, so, but I think, no matter what,
it's movie to TV because they hid his face, which
I thought that's odd. I like, why hide Bond's face.

(43:01):
It's James Bond. It's just the cover of it. Maybe
you want that to be revealed. Maybe you're playing from
first person, I guess, But to me, I was like, Okay,
I think there's a face we know there.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
And and don't get wrong, if it's a current actor,
i'd love that. Right.

Speaker 3 (43:14):
If there's some actor that goes, hey, I know they're
never gonna hire me. As Bond, but I'm British. Sure,
let's do.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
It, Charlie Cox. You know he was just an expedition
for three in the video game world.

Speaker 3 (43:23):
Absolutely, that would be fantastic. He's British in real life,
so that'd be a great choice because the same thing
is he gonna be No, he's on the older side,
he's dared, I'll leave.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Then he's like mid forties.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
That even works, and I think Bond's usually you know,
threey whatnot. So yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's gonna
be a movie TV actor. I think he was just
a video game actor. I don't think it like has
that that big oop, so you should just showed the face,
you know, because I think a movie TV actor is like, oh,
oh man, it's so and so, and I think that
could be just fun.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
It's like a movie announcement.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
So that's what I'm going with James Bond next twelve
months releasing and movie TV actor as the title character.

Speaker 1 (43:58):
Leaving the prediction behind who's your number one dream pick
for who they would get in that like older, older
guy realm.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
I couldn't think of anybody.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
There's one person I thought of that I thought would
kind of be fun for them. As there's an actor
I'm sure you've seen before. His name is Timothy Dalton.
He only played Bond twice and it wasn't really that successful,
and then they moved on to Pierce Bronson. I would
love that where they're like, oh well, it's you know,
kind of in a stal it's like a cheat where
it is a Bond but you can kind of deage
him and use him. And he didn't really get his flow.

(44:28):
But yeah, like I said to me, the dream would
be Tom Hardy because I don't think Tom Mary now
I agree with other people. I mean, and Himiler Tumble
this like Iris Elba would be great, but that cover
art is a white man, so I don't think it's
him unless that's even bigger reveal, like you know, it's
not like Idris Elba is actually like the high key
like that would be fantastic, that voice everything.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
And he was in Cyberpunk, right, so he's done some
video game voice acting.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
Yeah, so yeah, I'm been trying to think of your
Charlie Cox one that's really good prediction. So I've been
trying to think of other like older British chaps that
could do it. You know maybe, uh, he's not British,
but fastbender, I love just cheat and make him you
know whatever.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
But yeah, that's my prediction.

Speaker 1 (45:10):
Nice, I love it. What do you got, Taylor?

Speaker 4 (45:14):
Oh? I could see a Hugh Grant being in there.
That would be a great James Bond.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
You know what it's They talked to him before, Craig,
and the reason he didn't do it is because he
felt it was gonna be too silly like the old films.
That so Grant is actually not a terrible option. I
don't think it would be, but.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
I don't think. I don't know if he would do
a video game. I don't know if I see Hugh
Grant doing a video game.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
What about here's another good one, Dylan. What about Hugh
Dancy who played Will Graham and Hannibal. He's British in
real life, you know, young them up a little.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
I don't know if I can only hear him in
that voice, I don't know, does he have like a
good Bond type voice, like does he have.

Speaker 3 (45:49):
The perfect good enough I'm sure he's done some voice acting.
Maybe not my strongest pick, but you know, I'm just
throwing another British chat.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
Yeah, where's he been? You know, where's he been? He's
let's just get let's just get mad Michelsons do okay.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
He's on a law and order right now.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
You dance.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
We're all actors go to die order pretty much? Well,
Taylor leaving Bond behind, what's your first prediction?

Speaker 4 (46:15):
Oh my goodness, uh, you know, I'm just at this point,
I'm just sound like a broken record.

Speaker 5 (46:19):
My prediction is that we get something.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
Ah my god, why can't I remember the freaking name
of it? Frig's third one, Zombie third one, David K
thank you, Stay to K three, just driving my mind here,
Stay to K three. I have been waiting on that
since they announced it a long freaking time ago, and

(46:43):
they have not followed up on anything with that title
since all we that is one measly cinematic.

Speaker 5 (46:48):
That's it. So I'm that's my prediction. We get a
bigger review here.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
Yeah. I remember there were some issues at the studio
or something like that. There was like some controversy kind
of thing. I feel like that's one that like they
it's been gone for so long and we haven't. I
don't think we ever got gameplayer right, just like that
cinematic that I think they're gonna wait until they can
show like a good, hefty chunk of gameplay before we
get it. So if we do get it here, I
think it'll be like a good showing and not just
like some other animation that we can you know, soak

(47:14):
in for the next two years. But I think that
could make sense, like you know, show it off here
kind of remind us that it exists. Maybe it comes
out next year and then it's one of the games
that gets highlighted in the Xbox Developer direct that they've
been doing every January. Now, I feel like that's a
perfect game to give fifteen twenty minutes to to like
really dive deep on it, so I could see that happening.
I think, you know, who knows how those studio issues

(47:35):
are getting to square off, but like, let's say they
figured out some of that stuff. I think it is
about time for this freaking game to exist in a
meaningful way. Okay, yeah, my first prediction here, I think
we are gonna see the reveal of Resident Evil nine.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
Oh damn it.

Speaker 1 (48:00):
Yeah, I think it's been long enough. The last Residuevil
thing we got was Resident Evil four remake, in twenty
twenty three. I don't know if it's the same studio
that's making these remakes that is making like the mainline titles,
but I think Village came out in twenty twenty one
at this point, but resid Eevil seems like they have
a shorter development time than like other studios do, so

(48:20):
I think it's about time that we see something like
That's There was also a there was some sort of
hint that they posted on like Twitter or something recently
that like was a residentevil type thing, and there was
like people were in the background like, oh, there's definitely
a nine back here. So I think it's a I
think it's definitely in the ether. It's out there right now.
My the safe prediction here is that it releases next year,

(48:42):
but I'm gonna go wild and say that actually comes
out this year. I actually what I'm immediately taking that back.
I think it's gonna come out between. It is the
safe thing. It's not like we're doing this for points.

Speaker 5 (48:52):
It's just fun.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
I do think though, because the last I think Residuevil
Village came out in May, so I'll say that this
game comes out between February and like May June of
next year. I think it's a bit safer, gives them
a bit more time to do the marketing cycle, you know,
release it, or you know, do the first announcement, now,
a few months of build up, game awards, do another
big trailer, and then it kind of comes out a
few months after that. So that's what I'll go for
as my my timeline for it.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
Didn't Resident Evil seven come out in the fall, though,
so I'm just trying to count. I know it was
the newest one, but I feel like, because I don't
think you're completely wrong, that I could have a short
turnaround window.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
That came out in January apparently.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Okay, so if that's the case, I'm leaning more towards
your prediction of early next year then that that would
make sense.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
But yeah, and I think I'm pretty sure Village is
the best selling game of the series, so I feel
like they want to, like, Okay, what was the formula for,
like how that game was successful, Let's try and copy
as much of that as weekend with the next one.
My last part of this is that I think for
the protagonists, we're going to see the return of a
beloved protagonist from a previous game. I'm thinking of Leon

(49:59):
and thinking of Jill, I'm thinking of Claire.

Speaker 4 (50:01):
Now.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
I haven't played Resident Evil six, Yen. I don't know
if any of those characters die in one of those games,
because I've I've been playing the games in a weird order,
and I've played through most of them now, but I
haven't got to six, and I don't know if any
of them die in there. But if they don't, I
think one of those three is gonna be at least
a co protagonists. Some of these games kind of switch
back and forth between multiple characters, not like Village and
seven didn't, although I guess eight Villages DLC you played

(50:23):
as a different character, but that was, you know, kind
of a weird situation. But I think at least one
of those three is gonna be a playable character in
this game, and that would be part of the main
reveal that we get here.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
I was gonna say yeah, because I still played a
but I've heard that that connects to the kind of
greater franchise. Then there's a particular character.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Yes, there is a specific character that's in their at
own point.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
Yeah, So I think you're right with nine.

Speaker 3 (50:43):
It could do that with that, and I'm just interested
of do they continue that thread seven and eight kind
of started or is it you know, old characters but
kind of something just kind of completely new and different.
It's it's interesting.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
So that's that's a good point that we, like all
those old characters I just mentioned have never been in
the first person realm of the new Resident Evil games,
and so that could be maybe like, if you have
these old characters, like, do you want to not show
them in that way that like first person only see
their hands other than like cut scenes of course, but
I do think they are gonna stick with first person
for at least at least the trilogy is worth a
first person then maybe we get I think also, you

(51:17):
know they do the remakes and third person, they do
the new games in first person. I think that kind
of makes sense, and I do think this next one
will also be first person. But I think that's pretty
safe prediction.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
And I feel like I am not wrong. Didn't Resident
Evil eight sell better than seven? Like I thought that did?

Speaker 1 (51:31):
Yes, I think that's the best selling game in the
series other than maybe like four remake or something like that.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
To me, because yeah, I've said this before, but a
quick recap if you're a new listener. I was a
big fan of Resident Evil when I was a wei
lad had on the game cube the PlayStation.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
One to four was my jam.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
I still have the remakes for I think three and
four owned, and I haven't touched them, but I have
to go back at some.

Speaker 2 (51:51):
Point and play them. So they're sitting there waiting.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
But then to me, from five to six they kind
of lost their way. Even a bit of four, we're
starting to lose way and they got really big and
all more walking dead, like what movies were that Taylor
likes like that? That for me isn't Resident Evil. So
with seven and eight, especially because the sales, I think
they found a really good method to try to incorporate
but do something new. So I really that's my only

(52:16):
worry if I think you could be right. But that
is my worry. If I don't want to go right
back to third person and kind of get us like
we've steered away from that very messy, kind of apocalyptic
type of resid evil, I don't want to steer back
into it. So I hope with nine it is maybe
you know, uh, old characters, but fresh cold paint. So
that's my only fear. I don't think you're wrong, but

(52:37):
I just don't want to like dip my toes back
into fighting gigantic, huge monsters all the time in the
Resident Evil, you know, yeah, a little special.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
So yeah, they definitely like to do that. They like
to go crazy in act three with the Resident Evil games.
I'm looking it up, and I because Capcom has been
doing a lot of showcases recently. I can't see if
there's an official confirmation, but it seems like there's maybe
a hint set that their Capcom would do a showcase
a little bit later in June, like just a few
days after Summer Game Fest. But I still think that

(53:07):
Resident Evil's the kind of series you do at Summer
Game Fest and then you follow up in a Capcom
showcase with like here's ten minutes, like with a more
deep dive kind of thing. So I'm kind of shooting
for Summer Game Fest here is where this will happen,
but could be something else over the course of the
weekend as well. Yeah, Travis, back to you.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Yeah, I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
I'm taking this one because you took I had Resident
Evil coming up, so I have a replacement though, And
I don't think I don't think we want gonna take
this one, but this one someone could take, and I'm
very happy it wasn't taken. And Taylor, I don't know
if you're down this road, but at least it's gonna
make you happy.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
I think we're gonna finally go back to the park.

Speaker 3 (53:48):
Drastic Park Survival is gonna get a big, big, actual reveal.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
Maybe you know.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
That's have fun a release window, I'll say, even if
they date it just because Jurassic World Reworth's about to
come out, I think they like to do that. Of like,
of course the game's not gonna be out in time
in a few weeks, but just that idea of seo,
people searched it, people seeing it, and that idea of
anyone looking for tickets or anything might stumble upon, oh,
there's a game, and I think it will be like

(54:14):
that first trailer we got that first kind of it
that was just like a cinematic reveal trailer, right, and
then I think it was maybe four months ago, five,
maybe it was last year marri'sone, but I feel like
within the last six months we've gotten updates. There was
like dev's talk or something like that. So at least
It's better than like Black Panther or Bond, which Bond
was always like, we're excited to talk about one day

(54:35):
and I was always like, that's not you know, in
this day and age where games we lose all time,
but this game it's like still been in the zechgeist
people talking about. So I think though this will be
kind of like some of the State of K three,
this will be its coming out party. I don't know
if it would be this year. That would be the
hype for them, right, A perfect one two punch is
reveal here movie probably makes a billion dollars, and then

(54:55):
the fall boom Jurassic Park and especially I think get
it out in that Faciae and Indian they I don't
know who's doing this game, but you be saw Off
managed to do that with Avatar, right, they got it
not too far after Avatar too, wasn't exactly but it
was still within that kind of striking zone. So I
think this is the perfect time. Yeah, there's just something
that because the risk is drastic World Rebirth comes out,

(55:18):
it sucks, it disappoints box office wise, then you got
It's kind of like when Borland's game came in Originally
the next one. It was like they released that trailer
a couple of weeks after the movie because they thought
it was gonna be, you know, a little bit better
than that, and it was kind of this kind of
meme online.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Luckily the game I think, is that game out yet?

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Borlands four, No, that's probably gonna be popping up this weekend.
I don't have it in my predictions, but a sure
it's gonna be somewhere.

Speaker 3 (55:41):
Yeah. Even though they seem to be managed, they seem
to be watching that. You saw it when like the
lead devs had to apologize for yeah, if you want
to play it, you'll find the money. Don't say stuff
like that when people like any day people are like, oh,
recession might happen. It's like that's the most kind of
like one percent bullshit ever. But I think Jurassic Park
this is the time, because, like I said, you don't

(56:02):
want to reveal after a disappointing movie. In my opinion,
even if it is twenty twenty six and it's like later,
I think you're gonna get big reveal launch date, launch window.
You know, I'm not even gonna say fall twenty twenty six,
just the year.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
So that's what I'm gotcha. Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
What do you got, Taylor?

Speaker 4 (56:24):
I think we're gonna get some Jedi three kind of announcement,
really reveal stuff something. I think it could be a
logo or whatever, because we know that game is in
the works, we know that they're they're uh confirmed thing.
Yeah yeah, okay, forgot.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
I was just trying to see when that those stupid
titles Jedi Survive or I hate them all. It's like
the No Way Home things that came out twenty twenty three. Okay, yeah,
we're actually what what was the month of that.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
I feel like twenty.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
Nineteen was the first one, and then I ate twenty
twenty three or four years.

Speaker 3 (56:55):
Spring April, So yeah, we're officially two years so I
could see. I could see that more on the teasery side.

Speaker 2 (57:02):
But I don't think you're wrong.

Speaker 4 (57:04):
Yeah, I think you'll get probably like probably like a cinematic.
I don't think you get gameplay or anything, a cinematic.
Probably the logo and maybe maybe a date or something
like that.

Speaker 3 (57:14):
But some cal dark side stuff like him with some
red eyes or something like that, because it's something they
were too well that's a classic exactly, like something dark
side ish, I bet you know.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
So yeah cool, uh okay, my next one here, I'm
going specifically with the Xbox Showcase. I think we are
gonna get a nice little sizzle of a little two
pack of DLC updates for Starfield. I think Starfield is, uh,
you know, a game that you know came out and

(57:47):
by like bethes the standards, Like I think kind of
scene as like, yeah, sort of a mid title. You know,
me and Travis really enjoyed it. Taylor, I don't think
you ever went back to it, so I can assume
you didn't really care for that much. We really enjoyed it.
But like, you know, as far as the over we're
all stan or the fan perception of it, I think
it's kind of like a more mid or like lower title. However,
I think Behaesa wants to keep this game alive and

(58:09):
wants it to like have that resurgence, and wants to
support it for years to come. Todd Howard is said
as much, although he's lied many times before in the
public eye. So we'll see what happens here. But I think,
you know, if we look at a game like followed
seventy six, which came out just almost you know, people
losing complete faith in the studio. What's going on here,
like and see to see where that game is now
and the upper trajectory it took. I think Starfield's already

(58:31):
in a way better spot than that game was when
it first launched, and so to get to the point
where people love Starfield, I think is something that's that's
very doable. And so my my pitch here is that
we're gonna get kind of like how Fallout four and
if you guys remember, following four had two like main
story DLC's had the nucle world and the Far Harbor DLC,
but then along with that they had like convey like

(58:51):
contraption DLC, like random like things for like building and stuff.
I forget what those DLCs were called. I think we're
gonna see a similar thing here where we get one
story like pack DLC thing that's shown off here, whether
that's a new planet that shows up or like you know,
in the case of the last one, where you like
go to a planet that was off the maps before
something like that, or like a new moon has shown up,

(59:11):
or it's just we take some existing moon and maybe
we go deep underground and find some new city there
or something like that, so it'll be a big stories
DLC sizzle real thing. But then I think we'll also
get that second part, that builder part of it. And
my prediction here is one of two things. Either one
that they really revamp, like the building out your ship,

(59:31):
so that had some decent customization too it, but I
think a big part missing with it is like you
couldn't really design in a meaningful way like the inside
of your ship and do any fun inside decoration, and
so I think they either completely overhaul that and make
that an exciting feature, or they add the ability to
like build a space station, so now you can just
like build you know, you could build on planets anywhere
you want. You could build your ship sort of. But
I think that's maybe the missing part is like building

(59:53):
out space stations, and that could be like a fun
home base thing. It could maybe travel around a different uh,
like whenever you go to a new solar system, maybe
it comes with you, you know, so you can quickly go
back to your home base and restock, rather than have
to fly all the way across the whole map just
to go to your previous house or something like that.
So that's my Yeah, prediction here. I think Starfield is
going to be a game that they support for a

(01:00:14):
few years. And it's been a while now since I guess,
you know, Last Falls, when that last delC came out.
But so I think it's about time for at least
the next announcement of what's next for Starfield. They don't
I don't think they want you to forget about Starfield.
I think every Xbox showcase for the next few years
is gonna have Starfield in some way. And the way
that like Elder Scrolls follow was always making an appearance.
I think they want Starfield to be in that in

(01:00:34):
that camp, and they just got to put some work
in to make that happen. And uh yeah, So there
you go. There's my Starfield prediction for the day.

Speaker 3 (01:00:41):
I was worried when you started talking about Xbox because
that's where mine's going. I guess there's always a chance,
because it's a bigger stage that they do this set
Summer Games Fest and do the classic like for more
details or for whatever, turn the Xbox. But I think,
you know, and Tarl, you can roll in the scrave
a little bit here, but I think and I'm I'm
gonna not go specific. I'm just gonna say they're going

(01:01:01):
to announce a big Xbox game or franchise that's not
yet come to PlayStation, that's on its way, not counting
the Gears remake, something new.

Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Where would they do that? Like did they do that
in the Xbox showcase They're like here's this PlayStation thing,
or like where was that happening in the Summer Game
Fest or just like an announcement.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
I would think if it's something big like a Halo,
I think that's Summer Games Fest because just big eyes
and they talk about more. I do think they'll partner
it with by saying whether it's just Nintendo switch switch one,
switch to tend lessen the blow, to make it seem like,
you know, because you know Fill's online, he knows what
happens there. I think it'll be for a PlayStation and
switch switch to.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Yeah, so it's just like that's I.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Think Halo master Chief collection, that's what they do. I
think that's the big the head Holland shown.

Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
So, like I said, I'm not gonna be specific because
it could be anything. It could be that could be
just more Gears, could be something else in the Xbox
role Dex that I'm not thinking about, Like, uh, yeah,
I have to think more about that. Alsome a master
Chief or Halo in any senses come of the big Fish.
But we all know that shoot or even what you're
talking about Starfield. Starfield has not yet come to play

(01:02:09):
good point, right, and you're talking about they want to
keep Starfield flowing. What a perfect way to be, Like, hey,
there's a DLC and then also you can play DLC
full game whatnot on PlayStation. Maybe think Switch. I'm sure,
I don't know if it can handle it or whatnot,
what the deal is, but sure they have Skyrim on
there now right and they're getting Yeah, so they'll I

(01:02:29):
don't know, yeah, maybe not so, but that's my prediction.
Is a big Xbox exclusive game or franchise that hasn't
yet come to PlayStation. Well with like I said, the
Curtsey of Okay, switch can be including that, but it's
really PlayStation because that's that's.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
The big one.

Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
So Taylor, get way to see your boy master Chief
rocking the white and blue colors, you know.

Speaker 5 (01:02:51):
The white and blue colors. Let's see it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
Let's see him and Mario in a game, him and
Smash Brothers. You know, it's coming, that'd be Yeah, they
got to do it at some point. Yeah, that was
one of the ones on my list for sure. I
just feel like the hard part for the prediction part
is like I don't know where they do it, Like,
I don't know if they want that in their big
Xbox showcase of like Halo is on Switch maybe maybe
because it's like the switch to launch date, Like maybe

(01:03:13):
it's like a big exciting thing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
I think the PlayStation. Maybe they just put the PlayStation
logo in the end of the trailer, but it's like
more of a switch to thing like.

Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
They do with Indy, right, Like even though when they
announced Indy, yeah, it was not about it coming to PlayStation,
but at the end there was a PlayStation logo there, right,
So that's all. Even if they're like we're remastering the collection,
it's gonna have this yet it's like a new something
with it going other places.

Speaker 5 (01:03:36):
So yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
The other two for me was like I think hell
Blade and Avowed, which are just recent Xbox games, are
absolutely gonna come to PlayStation and Switch if they can,
if they can work on there.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
Yeah, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
I don't know if those ones get like a big
fanfare to a summer game fest, but I think they're
definitely happening as well. Hell Blade, I think is maybe
a bigger one because that was exclusive to PlayStation the
first game was, and then you know, obviously Xbox scooped
it up and then made it exclusive on their platform.
But I do think that sequel is eventually gonna come
there and it'll probably be a pretty big deal there
because I think the audience really likes that kind of
game on on PlayStation side of things. So yeah, I

(01:04:08):
think those two are differently coming as well. At some point,
how about we take our last break of the show
and then we'll get into our last few predictions. Here
will be right back. We are back, Taylor, what do
you got? Give us a nice spicy one, A sizzler.

Speaker 5 (01:04:26):
A sizzler.

Speaker 4 (01:04:27):
Okay, there's a sizzler here, but like you, you may
have alluded to chat Chept in our in our private chat.
I don't want to copy chat Chept's pick. It's a
sizzler one, but I want to. I don't want to say.
I don't want to say. I don't want to say,
save it.

Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
My sizzler is uh, Gears of War six?

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
What do you mean, like we have E Day coming out,
but you think they're gonna do six.

Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
Like I think that they're gonna give us something for it. Yeah,
because I mean you had a sizzler. That is a
crazy day.

Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
They need to finish the story. They have to. Well.

Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
E Day is great. I'm it's I'm very much looking
forward to it. And we have the original one coming
out as you already reloaded on PlayStation. So right now
they're just I think they're smacking yet with Gears of
War and why not just give us a little something
for Gear six?

Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
So do you think that I would have to be
coalition making Night six?

Speaker 5 (01:05:23):
Right? I would think so?

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
Yeah, who's currently making E Day? That's crazy? That would
be absolutely insane if that happened. I feel like to
announce that before Day comes out would be crazy. But yeah,
that is a sizzler for sure, nice sizzler.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Yeah, I don't think it's gonna happen, But I don't
think it's I'm not throwing a zero on there, because
you never know, right, you never you never know what
they're cooking, and may they're confident with that game because
it could just be the thing they're confident of that game.
They're gonna get Gears the original one on PlayStation other places,
and they just want to steamroll and have you know, like, hey,
the next five to six years is the roadback for Gears.

(01:06:00):
It is a franchise that is big. Honestly, it's lost
some luster, but I do actually think like the reloaded
thing could have kind of come back.

Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
I was kind of disappointed because that.

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Right now, I think they've just confirmed it it's only
still two player for the campaign, right, because I know
the other games they went to three and four, right,
but the first Yeah, because I was like, you know what,
that's actually when I would have dove back into a
good cross play with a three or four of us,
I'd be down because I had something.

Speaker 5 (01:06:25):
I'll still I'll be there if you want to like
duel with me.

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
Like no, I'm not saying anything's wrong with that, but
you know, well, yeah, I was one on the whole,
very much like a striker situation, Like I won the
whole squad there because me and my friends when that
game came out, we used to do like Marble Liance,
just go over a friends place and just go through
that campaign. The whole night take turns for death like
that great memories there, So I don't think it's impossible.
What I'm saying, like a like a two point five

(01:06:50):
percent that happens, oh two point five But.

Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
It would be very much like.

Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
Ten to fifteen second cut scene title treatment and that's it. Nothing,
no date, nothing like that, like like what Sky or
what Elder scrolls like the next like the next one
gone a couple of years back. It would be like
that for Gears of War.

Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
Yeah, yeah, that's uh that Gotham Knights of that same
situation where you know it would have been perfect it
as four player, but it was just two player.

Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
No one else called the game though.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
That's like I played it for a few seconds at
your house and couldn't jump and was like, on that,
if I can't jump in this game, I don't want
to play multiplayer.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Was tons of fun. I love again joined the story
at any point.

Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
Underrated, go check out our review for that. All right,
my next prediction here, I'm going to the indie indie
ish sort of realm with things. So one of the
names that is on the you know big fifty people
that are involved here is and A Purna, and one
of the biggest or probably the biggest game that Ana
Purna has published. I forget the name of the developer here,
but anyway they published it is Stray, and I think

(01:07:51):
we're going to get an announcement of Stray two, which
was a huge indie game, one of the biggest indie
games ever in terms of just raw sales that game eight.
It took over everything. It was a big deal, especially
for a game of that scale. So I think we're
gonna get announcement here that game code in twenty twenty two,
I believe. So I think it's time for I don't
think it's gonna come out this year, but like maybe
they throw twenty twenty six on there and you know,

(01:08:13):
at least get it announced here. My pitch slash prediction
here is I think the second game is going to
include co op. I think that'll be the big new
feature or mechanic with it. And my idea here is
that I think that it will be you playing as
the cat or maybe like a new cat and also
a Stray dog. I think they're gonna take the word

(01:08:35):
stray and mix it out and you'll have a cat
and a dog working together, and it'll be this heartwarming
story of these species who have to you know, help
each other to survive, and they each have like slightly
different abilities. But I still think the game can be
played single players, so maybe like swap between them if
you're like playing a Lego game single player, you know.
And so I think the stray cat stray dog dynamic

(01:08:56):
will be a big part of it. So yeah, there's
my weird prediction for straight too. And I think, you know,
I'll go with the twenty twenty six and released window
for it as well. I think it would be a
part of this prediction here, and I think I think
we got people pretty jazzed. I think people will be
excited for that.

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
Yeah, the dog one that that's a good pull right there.
That's like smart to hit the other realm. But if
if you don't get it here, it has to be
happening like next twelve.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
Yeah, I think there's no chance that game isn't being
made currently just because of how much money it made
it So yeah, I think it's happening. Uh Okay, I
think I think that was three for all of us.
Do you guys have any I asked I only asked
to make three. Do you guys have any other ones
that were you know in the back burner that you
want to chuck out there?

Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
No, you took my reds one. So my back burner
was the Xbox exclusive one.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
That's say, gotcha, I had other one.

Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
But they're all very just kind of all like very
just obvious ones that like either you talk about or
just like it's out there ready. And it's gonna be
interesting to see the show because there's been people saying
there's been lots of rumblings of the its.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
It's funny the way it went from it was E three.

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
To a lot of people doing separate showcases and then
they kind of died and into one big showcase. But
then there's like rumblings in the industry that's kind of
going back to like lots of these companies like, oh,
we just want to do our own one now. And
it's just because probably again a Keelee a certain spots
money and stuff. So we got the io.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
We'll see what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
But yeah, I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
Interested to see.

Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
I think last.

Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
Year and Game Awards they're on an upswing of being good.

Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
I can't remember. I have to go back and listen.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
So Summerfest was pretty good last year from what I remember, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
I'm expecting like a like a b show. I think
maybe one more big thing but and Game Awards. I
think it was long and had lot of stuff I
didn't need. But I thought that one had multi big
stuff going on, like they had a lot of big reveals.
I thought, yeah, it's so hard for me to remember
it was evaculation, but I'm expecting like a b Raid show.

Speaker 1 (01:10:43):
So I had a couple other quick ones. I'll check
at you guys, because you know, especially with Summer game Fest,
but also the game Wards Jeff kidding. He loves to
get his big names on stage, whether it is actors
or if it's uh, you know, big like known game
developers or studio heads that kind of thing. So I
think one thing we're gonna get here is a game

(01:11:03):
called Judas is still supposed to come up this year,
and I think Ken Levine is one of those big
game developer people. He's one of those names in games
out and not a lot of studios have, and so
I think he'd pull Ken Levine up on stage to
talk about Judas a little bit, set up the trailer
and or maybe you would do the trailer and then
he brings Ken Levin on stage and they give the
official release date, and my peris there would be like

(01:11:24):
sometime in October because it seems like a creepy game.
I think it would be good for that kind of time.
So yeah, that's one and the other one. This is
kind of pretty fresh, but I think this could happen.
What do you guys think about an Alice Garland apparel
appearance to do a little Eldon ring something, maybe a
cast announcement, announce a like an actor who's involved. I
think he'd want to get him on stage for something

(01:11:46):
like this, just kind of remind people that this was
something that was announced, even if they obviously don't have
anything to show like this early on.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
I agree, But for December, I think they're gonna wait more.
It's like fully more cast that just in case, more cast,
just in case something falls apart, you know, Like that's
a good Yeah. So I don't think you're wrong, Like
it could still happen if they're that confident, But I
do see that happening at some point in the near future.
I just think maybe Summer games Fest is the more

(01:12:13):
I and here's the one they do it. But here's
my prediction for game Awards. He uh, what is it
presents the best game adaption thing they do every year
at the Game Awards.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Oh yeah, good one.

Speaker 2 (01:12:26):
Yeah that's my that's my long term thinking.

Speaker 3 (01:12:30):
But you never know, they could throw them on there
was there. Hey, you want to be one of my games?
You know, it's just just to set them up that way.

Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
So mm hmmm hmmm, nice, good one. All right, Taylor,
do you got some good chat? SHEBT generated predictions for
us here.

Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
So I've got Yeah, I got some games, basic games
that I asked it to predict that could appear at
sever games Fest, and then I asked it to actually
detail and predict a few different presentations of some some
extra some extra games. So they get they get kind
of zany, but uh, so far, the safe pick is

(01:13:04):
that we got uh, Call of Duty another Black Ops.
Gulf War is what it it says. We got Dragon
Age Dredwolf is what it's it's saying.

Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
Oh, sure, I guess that's probably gonna make an appearance, right.

Speaker 5 (01:13:16):
It also had Resident Evil nine, but you you pitched that,
so that's good. Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:13:20):
And then we've got middle Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater.

Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
Yeah that actually that's soon.

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Yeah. This I thought it was August something. I think
that's what it is, like a fourteenth or eighteenth. Maybe
I'm wrong, but I could see that getting a Sills
real pre well.

Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
August twenty eighth.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Okay, I was closed.

Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
I was wondering, is it like dirty Pool if they
do that while Kajima's there, because that's some other Keeley
might take a stand bic you know what's here.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
I'm not gonna, I think.

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
I think, will take take a bag from anyone who's
who's chucking it.

Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
So okay, I'm actually gonna say no, we're gonna say
it's not there.

Speaker 5 (01:14:00):
Okay. We got Half Life three, which I feel like
that's a bold.

Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
One that gets predicted everything.

Speaker 1 (01:14:07):
Now, that's more likely than Gears six. Though, I will
say half.

Speaker 3 (01:14:12):
By three is the new meme like prediction now because
I see it come up along.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Oh that's not that's been that was just like that's
an old, old one at this point, very old saying
that for fifteen years back.

Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
I feel like when things leak, people always say, oh, yeah,
I've heard it's happening.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
But yeah, yeah, we.

Speaker 5 (01:14:28):
Got Mass Effect five.

Speaker 3 (01:14:30):
Wha, yeah, they're working on that though, right.

Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
Well, that's I assume that'd be the same studio making Dreadwolf.
So I don't know if we'd seen anything until.

Speaker 2 (01:14:39):
Yeah, but they did announce it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:41):
It was like, we're going back Tobate six. We know
we didn't you know, you know, we know you didn't
like a drama, so like, don't worry, but yeah, I
don't think so. But always potential for a logo or something.

Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
Hmm.

Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
We got Final Fantasy nine remake.

Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
Yeah, nine remake, Okay, before the seven remakes done, that'd
be interesting apparently.

Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
Yeah, I think about yeah, yeah, I know people been
talking about the seven remake part three.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
I think there's potential to see that.

Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
A Twisted Metal.

Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
Whoa. I'm gonna say, I don't think it's happening.

Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
Do you think it meant the game or the show?

Speaker 5 (01:15:19):
It said game to tie into the show?

Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
Did that show get like another is it another season?

Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
Yeah, it's coming out like the next month or so,
so I think that. I think Mackie well, I don't
think Maki would be there though, because he's in he's
in wherever filming Avengers right now.

Speaker 2 (01:15:37):
So I just don't think Figgy's be.

Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Like, yeah, go and brought Twisted Metal.

Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
I really gotta go do this.

Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
Yeah, so I don't think so, but I do think
at some point PlayStation, even if it's a smaller budget
one has to be cooking up another Twisted Metal right
just to I.

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Used to see.

Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
I mean, remember back to the PS five launch, they
had that game that got the fuck was it even called?
It was like a car combat game that came out
like a PS five launch title.

Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
I do not remember this.

Speaker 1 (01:16:06):
Yeah, I can't remember the name of it, but like,
you know, completely forgotten about, like didn't didn't you know,
move the needle at all. So I don't know if
that's like, you know, obviously Twist Metal would sell better
than that game, presumably, but like, I don't know if
if that's like how unenthused people seem to be for
a car combat game. I don't know if Twisted Metals come.
Let me see if I can find the name that game,

(01:16:28):
Destruction All Stars. Don't forget, don't forget the Great Instruction
All Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
Don't don't forget to Crush Hour Everybuddy too.

Speaker 5 (01:16:35):
So okay, uh, what else? We got Monster Hunter six.

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
Whoa after a few months after the last one just
came out, and it is probably gonna get.

Speaker 5 (01:16:45):
DEDC for a few years. Yeah, uh, Silent Hell too.

Speaker 1 (01:16:52):
What then we'll just get this? Oh yeah, was the
remake for Silent Hill one? Or was that two that
came out last year? Okay, then maybe you get to remake?

Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
Sure?

Speaker 5 (01:17:01):
Yeah, okay, okay a BioShock four? No, yeah, I don't
think so.

Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
Maybe maybe it's already announced, right, so it's like it's
been cooking for a few years. Maybe it's time to
show it.

Speaker 5 (01:17:14):
I think so higher or lesser likely than your six?

Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
Way higher? For sure it's already announced, yam hmm when
uh trying to find out? We come back in twenty nineteen,
so it's been it's been a lot. So if that
game has been cooking, then like it's ready to go.

Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
Uh Bloodborne remake for PCPs five. That was interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:17:41):
Here, now here's some here's a few that I I like.
This sounds cool. Legend is all the new two D
game or an Oracle remake? On switch to.

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
I could see Oracle remake?

Speaker 5 (01:17:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
Uh the last of US part three just to let's
specifies just a logo tas nothing else.

Speaker 5 (01:18:02):
I'm gonna say zero, not even just the logo.

Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
I'm gonna say three percent because it's last three go
with that. It's definitely happening, just not this year. I
think they're gonna I think they're gonna focus on the
Heretic and then I think you're gonna, well, I guess
we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
At one point, we're living in a world where that.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Show was a big hit, and now that show has
had a big decline. So I always thought, well, for
sure they're gonna get that game out because they're gonna
want more seasons of that show. I'm not as confident
as I was now, but there's been tons of rumors
that they've been working on that thing, so I think, yeah,
two more years.

Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
I just feel like last I think it was last
year where they're at Summer Game Fest, they had the
big blowout, like a ton of content for like Elasta's factions,
and then that just got like canceled, And so I
feel like Jeff's gonna be like, hold your horses here,
let's just wait for something to like a little more
tangible instead of just like fake Last of Us hype.
But I don't know that you know, that would get clicks,

(01:18:56):
so maybe they would do it.

Speaker 4 (01:18:58):
Uh, we got Alan Wake an expansion tease, fake last
of us hype like that?

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
How like you did that? Wouldn't they have put everything
out for that game, don't?

Speaker 2 (01:19:08):
Don't you think?

Speaker 1 (01:19:08):
I doubt they would do another DLC for that game.
They already had the two DLC packs, so I think
it's done. Ok. They're working on Control To at this
point would be their main title.

Speaker 5 (01:19:19):
So dead Space to remake.

Speaker 1 (01:19:23):
I don't. I forget how well that Dead Space remake did.

Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
I thought it didn't do well, so I'm gonna say no.
I could be wrong, but I thought that was the
narrative of people being like, oh this, you know, I
think people are happy with the remake, but I don't
think the numbers were.

Speaker 1 (01:19:38):
There, So yeah, I don't think it's happening right now.

Speaker 5 (01:19:40):
Yeah, Okay, and then the bold pick. I was listening
to earlier Fable reveal and shadow Drop.

Speaker 1 (01:19:47):
Shadow Drops reveal reveal quite likely because they announced twenty
twenty six for that game recently, So I think you
get it here at the Xbox showcase for sure. And
then once again in that January Developer direct you get
the another big showcase for Fable. So I think I
think we'll see Fable this weekend. But yes, Chin don't
draw no way.

Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
Okay, all right, So that's it for those the predictions,
and I got the the announcements, and I'm going to
try not to lap because when I was reading, I
like read a fraction of some of this and it
just cracked me up.

Speaker 5 (01:20:19):
So I'm gonna try and keep a straight face.

Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
So lights dim, screen fades to black, and this is
explaining it's ex Everyone is in the audience as it's
detailing this. So it's detailing it like it's a presentation
on stage. The booming voice of Wes Johnson, the beloved
voice of Shao Gorath and the Imperial Guards echoes across
the stadium. Stop right there, criminal scum. You didn't think
you'd come here and not see it, did you. Suddenly

(01:20:43):
a deafening orchestral swell erupts a two hundred piece orchestra
beneath the stage, performing a live medal medley of Elder
scrolls themes marawin Oblivion Skyrim with a massive Nordic choir
chanting and dragon dumb the smoke.

Speaker 5 (01:21:01):
Machines erupt a blizzard of artificial restival.

Speaker 4 (01:21:04):
From the ceiling, a life sized animatronic dragon, fully mobile,
breathing actual fire descends from above, suspended by a hidden crane,
its wings open and riding on its.

Speaker 5 (01:21:17):
Back is Jeff keey Dova kine armor.

Speaker 3 (01:21:22):
If he were to do that a like a conference,
I don't care what they show me.

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
It's funny, Like I feel like there's no way Xbox
would spend that much money on this announcement to not
like to put it out Summer game Fest and not
at their own showcase. And yeah, why why would you
get Jeff that you obviously put Todd Howard on that dragon?

Speaker 3 (01:21:43):
Oh so I was gonna say quickly because we didn't
bring up Dylan, what's your percentage on anything older scrolls?
It's been cooking, Starfields gone with. I know they might update,
do some stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:21:56):
Do you think I'll go twenty five percent?

Speaker 5 (01:21:58):
Chance?

Speaker 1 (01:21:58):
So not like a super small amount, but like less
likely than.

Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
Like, yeah, I feel like next year is the year.
I don't think it's this year, but I feel like
next year. I don't know why I got a good
vibe that next year is the.

Speaker 1 (01:22:08):
Right I don't think they have gameplay to show right now,
so that's where I think next year there. I think
they they don't want to just show off another nothing burger.
For that, they want some gameplay an Jeff yes on dragon.

Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
Yeah, he's in full Dovi, a keen armor. He jumps
off the dragon and lands with a perfect three point
superhero pose and he shouts fostro da into a two
hundred thousand dollars wireless mic. The dragon unleashes one unleashes
one last go out of flame, setting off pyro explosions
across the venue. A massive stone wall behind Jeff collapses,

(01:22:42):
revealing a glowing ruined portal, as if summoned by a mage.

Speaker 5 (01:22:47):
Then the screen.

Speaker 4 (01:22:48):
Fills with stars, and a voice whispers. When the towers
fall on the song of the dove Shell rise again,
a new age begins, and then it cuts to wide
shots of towering, snow covered peaks, an expansive coastline, a
war ravaged battle field with Dwemmer tech scattered about, a
city in the distance that looks like Hammerfel or is
it High Rock? And then the title appears, Elder Scroll six,

(01:23:08):
exclusive to Xbox and PC twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
Well that's wrong right there.

Speaker 1 (01:23:13):
Yeah, it's not gonna be exclusive six. Oh wow, that
would be crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:23:17):
But Kiely isn't done.

Speaker 4 (01:23:19):
He steps forward and says this is not just a game,
it's the most ambitious RPG ever created.

Speaker 5 (01:23:23):
And next week at Xbox Showcase, you'll see the first.

Speaker 4 (01:23:25):
Ten minutes a gameplay open world, no open fantasy.

Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
I don't like that. I don't like that sentence open fantasy.

Speaker 5 (01:23:34):
That's fair.

Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
I don't mind that.

Speaker 4 (01:23:36):
But the dragon flies away, dragging a massive Xbox logo
banner across the arena sky.

Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
I mean, if that did happen, that would be maybe
the greatest game announcement of all time. That'd be crazy,
pretty good, Yeah good, all.

Speaker 5 (01:23:51):
Right, crazy, next one.

Speaker 4 (01:23:54):
So the start here to so the first iconic A
note of gusty garden galaxy plays. The orchestra kicks in,
and dozens of drones begin to fly around the arena,
forming a massive three D Mario face in the air.
Then a warp pipe emerges from the center of the stage,
emitting fog and multi colored light beams. Jeff Keeley appears

(01:24:18):
upside down, descending from the ceiling in a real twenty
foot tall Mario Kart.

Speaker 5 (01:24:23):
He's dressed like a ring master of.

Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
The Mushroom Kingdom, with glowing white gloves and a golden
fireflower on his lapel, he lends.

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Besides, he keeps like changing outfits like every five minutes. Yeah,
no devs, no craters, just him.

Speaker 5 (01:24:40):
Just him.

Speaker 4 (01:24:41):
He lands beside the warp pipe, throws a life sized
golden coin into the crowd, and said, let's go to
a whole new dimension.

Speaker 3 (01:24:51):
There's something about the sky or the elder scrolls on
being hyped to this one, being like he'd be roasted
on the internet the whole Yeah, let's go.

Speaker 4 (01:25:02):
So the stage starts to transforms. Giant led panels spin
to reveal a living mushroom kingdom, fully animated and interactive.
Dozens of Nintendo dancers, just as Goomba's, Yoshi's and toads,
perform synchronized parkourse stunts across a twelve foot bowser animatronic
emerges from behind the audience, breathing steam and waving at fans.

Speaker 1 (01:25:29):
So why is the dragon allowed to breathe fire fire
but bows are gonnaly breathe steaming poor guy.

Speaker 4 (01:25:36):
Suddenly the skycracks open in the arena, and drones simulate
a rift in the mushroom kingdom sky, showing parallel universes
of Mario games colliding. You see Mario sixty four running
from chain chomps Mario Galaxy, flying through space with Rosalina,
Mario Odyssey, riding a t Rex to Peach's castle, and finally,
a brand new Mario with a fresh art style, and
he's running on walls, across portals and even flying on
a Luma powered hoverboard. Title drops Super Mario Dimensional Dash.

(01:26:03):
There's a brand new three D platformer starring Mario, Luigi
and Peach and even bowser through fractured universes, so you
have fully co op. Every level has alternative versions and
alternate timelines.

Speaker 5 (01:26:14):
You can you.

Speaker 4 (01:26:16):
Can Cappy Possess your past self and Capy that's from Odyssey, right, Yeah, okay, uh.

Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
Making a one level but four different art styles and changes.

Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
Based on world.

Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
Yeah, that's actually revergent.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
That'd be sweet.

Speaker 5 (01:26:33):
Yeah, a lot of Spider Verse too. It is uh.

Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
Keilly hits a giant question Mark block on stage and
out pops Shagaru Shageru Miyamoto. He waves, says Yahoo, and
then launches a sign switched to Prototype into the crowd
like a T shirt.

Speaker 5 (01:26:52):
Canon.

Speaker 3 (01:26:54):
My god, hundreds of people are dying in this show.

Speaker 4 (01:26:58):
Yeah, this this is very predictions, so yes, real life
Nintendo branded airship blimp arrives over the venue, dropping gold coins,
plus and Mario hats, and then the screen reads the
next chapter begins, switch to direct June fifteenth.

Speaker 1 (01:27:15):
Okay, okay, that's insane.

Speaker 4 (01:27:19):
So we got we got a couple more, a couple
more so, presented by Keeley. No targets are safe. The
scene opens silence, then full blackout, no music, no voice over,
just the subtle sound of a ticking watch. Then a
red laser sight scans across the cout crowd. A spotlight
hits a random audience member in a suit. He looks confused, nervous,

(01:27:43):
and a red dot appears in his forehead.

Speaker 5 (01:27:45):
A shot is heard.

Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
I hope that's an actor and not a random person.
You can't do this, not in the USA.

Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
Even if that's an actor, they cannot do that stunt.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
Next to the guy.

Speaker 3 (01:28:03):
I love him.

Speaker 4 (01:28:05):
So the red dot appears on his forehead and shot
his herd and he slumps over dead silent. The crowd
gasped and security runs in panic starts to ripple. Suddenly,
the orchestra kicks in. It's disguised as a string quartet
playing Ave Maria Live. A massive screen lights up with

(01:28:26):
CCTV footage of the murder from multiple eight angles. One
frame shows a bald figure and the rafters barcode visible
in the back of his head, the cameras on his
face as.

Speaker 1 (01:28:42):
He shaved his head. Now for the bent.

Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
And he shot somebody to an audience.

Speaker 1 (01:28:50):
Way to mark at your own events. I will literally
kill you in my auditory.

Speaker 4 (01:28:57):
Uh Killie repels from the ceiling upside down, wearing a
tailored Ica suit and red tie. He lands center stage
next to the corpse. The dead man suddenly sits up,
pulls off a blood pack, and smiles. Keeley says, Ladies
and gentlemen, as an actor, consider this a contract fulfilled.
But we've just begun. Uh the floor, Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
His show just fucking doing it, just full Broadway, one
man show.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
Imagine if this is all one show too, that's like.

Speaker 4 (01:29:34):
The floor opens up to reveal a full replica of
a Paris runway level, complete with flashing cameras, an actress character,
his bodyguards, fashion models and double agents. Fog rolls in
drones above the stage display the Ica logo and blood
red and laser trip wires criss crossed the stage as
Keey navigates him perfectly as if trained. A quiet piano

(01:29:56):
piece overlays footage of Asian forty seven infiltrating a luxury
space hotel, assassinating a CEO on a zero gravity platform,
sneaking through a black tie galla in Dubai underwater, and
using new disguise AI to mimic anyone's voice and appearance.
Mid mission screen fades to black and the title says
Hitman Agent forty seven Ascension Assassinate across space, politics and legacy.

(01:30:17):
No targets are safe coming twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
Oh, no hit Man game in space.

Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
I'll tell you that that's too far.

Speaker 5 (01:30:26):
Oh but wait, it's not over.

Speaker 4 (01:30:27):
A man in the audience stands up mid applause, A
red dot appears on his forehead. He panics. Everyone turns.
He sprints to the stage and yells, I'm not part
of this promo.

Speaker 5 (01:30:36):
Helped me A gunshot that goes.

Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
A single bullet casing drops from the raptors landing beside Killis.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
Had a great time. The audiences horri.

Speaker 5 (01:30:54):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
The press has flooded with debates was that real? To
Achille go too far? Players who proved the game get
a custom assassination briefing written by the devs uh Io
Interactive reveals a real world arg where fans must find
hidden I see cashes in major cities around the world.
Oh my god, but we don't know if this guy
really dies.

Speaker 3 (01:31:15):
We don't know. They don't do the blood pack. I
could just I could just see the headlines next morning.
Did go too far?

Speaker 5 (01:31:23):
This probo?

Speaker 3 (01:31:24):
Help me?

Speaker 1 (01:31:25):
Yeah? What a weird line to say, too. I'm not
a part of this promo. I don't think anyone's gonna
say promo in that in that situation, Taylor, did you
ask this to like really go hard on the Jeff
keeleyisms of this or did this just go there on
its own?

Speaker 5 (01:31:39):
So?

Speaker 3 (01:31:39):
I what did I ask?

Speaker 5 (01:31:41):
And I let me go back up and see what
my initial pitch.

Speaker 1 (01:31:43):
There's so much, it's so much of Jeff Keeley that
I'm like, it's shocking to me.

Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
So I said, as a show reveals new games, UH
do very passionate, wild presentations that you would see announced
at New Games at Summer Games Fest. And you can
detail Keeley entry during the stage revealing these titles as well.
And so it's going that extra mile.

Speaker 1 (01:32:04):
Yeah you didn't. Yeah, that was like a Minor prompt
with the achilli stuff. But it's going all in on.

Speaker 4 (01:32:09):
That, So I have two more. Here is this one?
Uh nextion open universe game developed by Insomniac, Crystal Dynamics
and Kojima Productions. Who The Multiverse is bleeding and you
are the scalpel h The lights go to black, the

(01:32:33):
room hums with a deep Subouffert level rumble, and then silent. Suddenly,
a single beam of light shoots into the sky of
the arena and a portal opens. It's like Doctor Strange
has ripped the multiverse open in real time. Out of
the rift, live actors of Spider Man, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, Moonnight,
and Daredevil come tumbling through doing stunts, flips, fighting each

(01:32:53):
other on a rotating stage platform. Moonnight uses a zip
line across the crowd. Scarlet Witch spends a car a
real prop car midair using wire rigs, and Spider Man
Wall crawls up the LED screen in real time, and
then the lights flicker. Something's wrong. Multiverse breach detected. Suddenly
can the conqueror appears to be.

Speaker 5 (01:33:14):
A hologrown voiced by Jonathan Major.

Speaker 1 (01:33:24):
Oh no, you were doing so good?

Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
Did go too?

Speaker 5 (01:33:33):
Far, he monologues, your heroes be nothing across time.

Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
Their legacy ends tonight from above, a LFE size Iron
Man suit drops from the ceiling and it lands with
an impact boom. It opens slowly with dry eyes pouring
out and inside Kiey wearing a glowing chest piece arch
reactor style along Marble branded trench coat, he walks out

(01:34:01):
through a series of Doctor Strange style golden portals, each
one changing the environment briefly to New York City in ruins,
a scrawl infested jungle, a twenty ninety nine neon let cityscape,
and frozen asgard. Each time he walks through, he's briefly
in costume as a different Marvel hero. Finally, he walks
center stage, looks dead into the camera and says, you've
been asking for it, you've been building to it, and

(01:34:22):
now it's time to play in a world where anything
and anyone is possible. He raises his hand and a
giant mulner made a plasma drone's forms above the stage,
and then the screen explodes into trailer footage a broken multiverse.
Captain America is one hundred years older. Spider Gwen leads
a resistance blade hunts across timelines, and you plays your
own custom Marvel hero or recruiting every era including twenty

(01:34:44):
ninety nine character.

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
Age of apocas Remember and then we Loved Hunter.

Speaker 2 (01:34:50):
Maybe give you bet again?

Speaker 4 (01:34:52):
You know MCU Secret Wars eighty four and even the
lego Marvel dimension revealed title Marvel Legacy War. It's a
single player plus live world experience where time collapses and
heroes clash across dimensions.

Speaker 5 (01:35:04):
Coming twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (01:35:06):
An actor addresses Deadpool runs on stage and steals Keeley's
mic and says, prude or now and you get me
in five different timelines, one of them I'm actually nice, gross,
I know. Fireworks go off, and then the Stark Industry's
brand branded drum Sworn spells Legacy War in the air
above Los Angeles.

Speaker 1 (01:35:22):
So you go through all this effort and then you
have Deadpool come out and dude, like a three out
of ten level joke.

Speaker 5 (01:35:27):
Yeah right, you got majors.

Speaker 3 (01:35:31):
Yeah that multiverse or Kem Fady wakes up the next
day and like, yeah, they ousted majors to be gang there,
but they're like, oh no, the video game team they
brought them along, and he's still adad to the brand man.

Speaker 1 (01:35:47):
Is Legacy wore the name of a compic run or
is that fiction?

Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
I think that's fiction. I think.

Speaker 5 (01:35:54):
All right, last one. Last one sounds good.

Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
So we got a scene open, still darkness, A twin
sun slowly rises on the screen. Suddenly, all hands brace
for impact. The entire entire stage shakes with coordinated subwoofer rumbles.
The screen explodes into a massive hyperspace tunnel as a
life sized X Wing crashes through a fake led wall
and screeches to a halt mid stage. It's real, it's smoking,

(01:36:21):
it's insane. The cockpit opens and outsteps Killey, fully clad
in a rebel pilot through.

Speaker 1 (01:36:30):
So many opens I love.

Speaker 3 (01:36:32):
The show would just be five games because they spent
so much money on the stage.

Speaker 4 (01:36:36):
Oh yeah, with glowing ledy lights, a blinking wrist mounted
hollow map, and a BB unit following him via animatronics.
As he walks down the wrap, the screen behind him
zooms across the galaxy Moustafar course on Jetta, Exagle, and
Camino planets old and new colliding warping. A. Keilly says,
there's been a disturbance in the Force, one that only
you can play through. A robed figure appears in the crowd,

(01:36:59):
then another than another. Dozens of lightsabers ignite in the aisles.
Jedi and Sith actors dual live on stage, flipping, dwirling,
even using wire harnesses to float midair like Force users.

Speaker 5 (01:37:09):
A full sized hollow Yoda.

Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
Appears in the middle of the venue, spinning in three
sixty with a voiceover the future clouded it is, choose
your destiny, you must. Then the screen goes black as
the new trailer plays a gritty tone the forces and fragments.
You see a former Jedite hiding in the Unknown Regions
training a new rogue Padawan. Sith cults are rising from
the ashes of Exago, a Mandalorian warlord manipulating both sides.

(01:37:33):
A massive space battle across shifting asteroid fields.

Speaker 5 (01:37:36):
Playable characters from.

Speaker 4 (01:37:37):
Multiple factions, from Jedi and Sith to bounty hunters and droids.
Open world, multiplanet exploration, branching paths, full lightsaber crafting, and
customizable force powers. Player decisions determine the fate of the
entire stars.

Speaker 1 (01:37:50):
Open world like open fantasy am I right sounds of
the game from.

Speaker 4 (01:37:55):
Star Wars Eclipse Shadows Power doesn't bring peace. It brings
CHOI coming home.

Speaker 1 (01:38:01):
So they use the same Eclipse title to it.

Speaker 4 (01:38:05):
Why Suddenly the roof splits open, the retractable arena tech
and a Star Killer based scale Star Destroyer Drone swarm
hovers above the crowd. It projects three D holograms of Vader,
Ray Mando and Grogu and even a new villain, Darth
Valeris with a twin bladed unstable Crimson saber. Real pyrotechnics
simulate tie Fighters crashing through space above the venue. Then

(01:38:27):
John Williams Binary Sunset Them kicks in, performed live by
the La Philharmonica Harmonic.

Speaker 5 (01:38:32):
Hiding under the stage the.

Speaker 1 (01:38:34):
Entire time I was hiding. One to that stage.

Speaker 4 (01:38:36):
Man Keely removes his helmet and says, you've waited for
your next Star Wars adventure. It's here and your story
starts now there you go, oh sorry, And Disney drops
a companion animated short on Disney Plus that night.

Speaker 5 (01:38:49):
Broders include custom lightsaber hills.

Speaker 1 (01:38:52):
They're really insane marketing budget for Star Wars. What was
it called Galaxy clip Shadow huge.

Speaker 3 (01:39:02):
Get for kill too that they're not revealing this in
like Star Celebration nothing like everything. Yeah, Summer games Fest.

Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
It's the closer at Summer game Fest of a crazy run.

Speaker 3 (01:39:11):
What a show we're getting on Friday, gets I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (01:39:15):
That'd be insane. Yeah, I'm going to.

Speaker 3 (01:39:17):
Laugh of Killy Pomps outwearing anything. I know, he's not
kinda it's just gonna be the suit. But I'm gonna
think back.

Speaker 5 (01:39:23):
So he doesn't murder anyone, right and no one dies
the show.

Speaker 1 (01:39:27):
Yeah, I thought when you said the cyths were out
in the audience that we're gonna get some red dots
on their foreheads as well.

Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
People on them.

Speaker 5 (01:39:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
Oh wow, absolutely insane. Thank you for getting that for us, Taylor.
That's uh, that's that's you know, that is beyond what
our brains could possibly conceive. Only a robot could come
up with something so so insane. Boys, thank you for
joining me. I think it'll be, as we've mentioned, a
very fun, exciting weekend. Maybe not not quite on that

(01:39:57):
level of crazy Jeff keeyisms, but if we get even
one percent of that, we're in for a good weekend.
But yeah, we'll be back Friday night slash Saturday morning,
and then back again on Side Quest Tuesday to cover
all this good stuff, so subscribe. Thank you for listening,
and we will see you again next time.

Speaker 5 (01:40:13):
Bye.
