This October, "Ghost - Scary Stories" presents a special 31-night Halloween event. When librarian Margaret Blackwood discovers thirty mysterious vinyl records from 1974, she ignores the warning: "Play one per day. Never more. The dead grow stronger when rushed." Each recording reveals another horror that touched Millbrook fifty years ago—children walking through walls, nurses working after death, houses that breathe. But as Margaret plays the recordings, she realizes she's not just listening to the past. She's creating it. And something ancient is using her voice to speak itself into existence. A new episode every night in October, counting down to Halloween. Thirty recordings. Thirty horrors. One terrible truth. Listen wherever you get your podcasts, starting October 1st.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello. My name is Margaret Blackwood, and I'm the head
librarian at Millbrook Public Library. This October I need you
to listen to something to bear witness. On October first,
I discovered thirty vinyl records hidden in our sealed basement,
records that shouldn't exist, left by my predecessor, Silas Crane,

(00:26):
who vanished on Halloween night, nineteen seventy four. The note
with them contained only a warning play one per day,
never more. The dead grow stronger when rushed. I should
have left them alone, should have called the police, should
have done anything except place that first record on the turntable.

(00:47):
But libraries called to their librarians, and these recordings they
were calling to me.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
October first, nineteen seventy four, Silace Crane. I found them
this morning. The children standing in the library, not moving,
not blinking. Their eyes were wrong, clouded, like looking at
fog through glass. When they moved all at once, like
puppets on the same string, they walked through the doors

(01:19):
through them. The wood didn't open, they just passed through.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That was just the beginning. Each recording reveals another piece
of the pattern, a horror that touched Millbrook fifty years
ago and has returned. The Davidson House where something breathes
inside the walls. The hospital where dead nurses still make
their rounds. The school bus that arrives empty though parents

(01:52):
see their children through the windows. Thirty recordings, thirty days,
thirty chances to understand what's happening to my town, what's
happening to me? Because with each recording I play, I change,
and I'm beginning to suspect these aren't recordings at all.
There's something else, something that should have stayed buried. Join

(02:18):
me this October for a special Halloween event from Ghost
Scary Stories, thirty one consecutive nights of terror as we
count down to Halloween. The October Records a new episode
every night. Listen wherever you get your podcasts starting October first,

(02:42):
but remember play only one per day. The dead grow
stronger when rushed
