Speaker 1 (00:02):
And now Damage Infringement.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Welcome everybody to the Gimmick Infringement Podcast. I am Brad
Winchester with me as always as my tag team partner
Tyler McDowell, Blank and Tyler. I just heard an email
come in. I was so scared it was going to
get recorded. I just heard things that that very specific
Gmail sound. I was really hoping to avoid that sound
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
How you doing.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
I hope it's a good email. I'm grateful it's I'm
so happy to see you. It was an interesting week
back from fall break. It already feels like we're in
week three, maybe week four. Yeah, the semester, the good
and the and the challenges. So yeah, I'm just happy
at time for another episode of GI. Of course, we're

(00:48):
going to be talking about aw Wrestle dreams, some big
storyline developments, AWE, the Golden Bachelor, hometowns. We're going to
preview that. I'm sure I have some surprises along the way.
So I'm just happy to be here with my guy.
How are you doing with your your one email? At
least one email in.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Your inbox, one that I know of.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, it's still not Pima telling me that I have
my due enrollment one way or the other that I
put in in June. That's that's taken a while. Might
have to look into that a little bit once.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
A PEMA asstick, always a PMA as stick, something else,
something else you and I share, and probably a good
portion of the the you gotta you gotta love Piva
man Pima. Yeah, Pema Community College is a special place.
Been there, Yes it is.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, I'm good. I'm good.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I'm good to your point, it feels like I've been
I've been running hot without a break, and it's it's
it's week eight of this nine week semester or nine
week quarter, and it's really week one going into week two.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
We had a PD day on Monday, which then transitioned
into a Tuesday basically a tech rehearsal for a choir
concert to get that all set up and ready to go,
and then a The Good Choir concert, which gave me
an opportunity to actually record part of it the way
that I've been hoping to you now that we have
the you know, mostly the necessary equipment that allows us

(02:11):
to do that. So it sounded really good and the
kids did a great job on a short amount of time.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
To learn the music.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
It was.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It was really good, really good. But you know, that
was Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday. Stayed after to get some
stuff done and give time for the kids. And by
Friday I was like, hey, are you guys staying? Are
you staying after today? And I just looked at him
and was like, no, I'm going home.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I don't know what you're doing. You could stay after.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I'm shutting all this off, turning off the lights, and
I'm leaving. You want to stay, that's fine. I don't
know what you're gonna do, but I am gone. It
was senior night. I didn't make it out because I
was just I was not feeling okay, and I got
some sleep, got up yesterday, immediately went to the school
to do the work I didn't do on Friday, and
then burned a tree stump. So I've had a very

(02:56):
productive week and I'm probably gonna smell like mosquite smoke
for a while.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Tyler kind of that that John Moxley fragrance right was
actually your yours. I don't know, you probably smell better
than John Moxley. After the equip match and wrestled dream
with Darby, Fire would be fire Darby Allen almost yeah,
you know, I.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Was gonna say, maybe it's maybe it smells like maybe
it smells more like a Swarts house.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
That's a that's a that's a deep gut. Did I
tell you it was homecoming weekends?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
You did?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
You?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
And that it's uh and and people are very invested.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
You know, extreme extremely invested. So there there was there
were colors, there were spirit, there was there was a uh,
it was just a lie. I'm still I'm still processing
it all. A younger me would have probably went to
the football game or even chaperone this Saturday dance. But
like you, I just had to be very mindful of
my time and my output and all the possible energy

(03:51):
that I could give. So unfortunately I did not attend
those evening extra extra crecular opportunities. But I've been going
out to the girls volleyball games. We have some I
have some freshmen who are on the team, and they're
sweetest can be and brilliant and kind and and all
all the adjectives. But yeah, man, homecoming week similar to Miranda,
I would say, although it's been a minute since I've

(04:12):
been to Miranda, Tiger with boots on the ground at
Sunny Slope High School. Homecoming is a is a huge deal.
Lots of spirit, lots of community investment, and somehow we
made it through Friday, man, and we're gonna get ready to,
like you said, head into week two of this crazy,
crazy quarter. It's about to be November, the holidays are
coming around. I don't have a Halloween out for yet,

(04:34):
and kids were asking what I'm gonna be.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I kind of know what I'm gonna do, but it's
all related to Fray's thing.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
So we're going to keep cap Demon Hunters.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, but I'm going as a fan, so all I'm
holding is like a light stick. His biggest fan, that's
but I have to make the light sticks. So in
fairness to me, I've been creating these things, so it's
not like I've just been doing nothing. It's been a
lot work, but like wonderful work that I enjoyed doing
and speaking of, we were talking in the production meeting.

(05:07):
We get to do some wonderful work and difficult work,
and I'll share my thoughts on this, but it's time
to share some gratitude.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So let's just get into it. Play the music, and.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Now it's time for a little self reflection, so think
about yourselves or something.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Okay, I wrote on here. I have some notes, Tyler.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I wrote promo to gratitude and gratitude to promo in
my notes because I couldn't decide which one this was
going to be. Is this going to be I'm incredibly
thankful or is this I have a lot to get
off my chest. And I choose to look at it
as what I said to you is just an overwhelming
heap of blessings rather than just an an overwhelming heap.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
And I think that starts with.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Not only going I'm grateful for you because you wrote
half of this.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
For me without knowing it.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
But I'm grateful for all the opportunities we get to
do with within the sphere of teaching and education.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
And I wrote this, how do we keep going until
we crash? And because because we do this.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Right, like, we we go and then we burn out,
I don't really crash. And I think that's really what
my problem is is that I just I just keep
going and I shouldn't and I can't, and I don't
know when to stop. And lately I've been having some
some you know, consequences of my decisions I believe, and

(06:48):
you said something that I wrote down. It's I don't
want us as teachers to have this profession put us
in early grades. And you know, I'm sure that's true
of other professions and every thing, but it's you know,
in a time where we see people leaving and it's
I can't even say a time in an era at
this point where we see people leaving in masks because

(07:11):
of how stressful the job is. And I think if
the paychecks were higher, sure we'd have better retention. But
I don't know that that's ever going to fix the problem.
And I think the reason is is I wrote this.
Number one is you can't buy time. That's number one.
You can you can assess whether or not your your
time is worth the money you're receiving, and go is

(07:31):
that transaction worthwhile? Sure that's part of it, but the
other part is like some more nuanced and complex. I
believe there is a gigantic overlap between teaching and art.
If somebody came after us and said what we do
on GI is garbage and say all these negative things
to us, I think we would be personally hurt. And

(07:57):
I think that's what happens with teaching. I can't think
of a lot of other professions.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
There's a lot of professions getting flamed in news that
aren't political. Teachers have been made political for some reason,
and I think that's part of the problem. So they
get brought up on the news all the time instead
of you know, nobody's like, oh it workers, overpaid garbage
people that are just trying to indoctrinate our children with

(08:24):
IP addresses and stuff like, I don't nobody's doing that kind.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Of stuff right.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
What we are asked to do is we're doing dk
for all the time. We're gonna start throwing blooms at people.
We are constantly creating. The thing we would ultimately like
our kids to get to is create. Take what you've learned,
take all that knowledge, take those skills, and create something meaningful.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Out of that.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
You can do that you've reached like the pinnacle of
thinking and understanding, and that's so cool. We are always
in that mode. We are always in create and that
is super taxing because we have to. We don't go
in and go blow the dust off the tone of
what we do.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
On Thursday the eighteenth.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
That's not a thing that happens, you know, So we
just have to go in and go like, what do
I have to do?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
What are my plans? Where are they?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Let me look at the data, Let me think about
how what I saw in class that's anecdotal. Let me
think about like, well, there's homecoming week. Let me think
about Oh, there's testing coming up, so maybe I should
scrap what I had planned to do some test prep
and ignore reading this book. Oh we only have so
many days to read this book. Oh we're going to
do this activity? Do I want to do that many activities?
Because they have five other classes that are all heading

(09:33):
to the end of the quarter.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
What do I do?

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Because I do have that, but I also have seniors
who usually only have three maybe four classes. There's so
many decisions to make that when you go out and
you see some news thing about teachers being overpaid, or
somebody saying they're not very good at that job or
they should be better at it or whatever is now

(09:57):
a criticism about the art form, it feels like a
personal attack and not an attack on a profession. And
I think that's where a lot of it burns out. However,
I'm choosing today to look at the part where we
get to create, and I'm choosing the part where we
get to help other people get there too. And and

(10:19):
I think if I frame it like that, I can
always go in, go in what a cool job, what
a what a gift that we get instead of you know,
I'll give you an example. This week, I had a
five Z four meeting. I had an IAP that same day.
I went to the IAP meeting in the morning and
it was it was great, And then I had sent

(10:41):
in notes like a week prior because it was for
my TA. It's like, I don't really have any academic
things to offer here other than like looking at the
accommodations and knowing this person, I would say, yes, let's
continue Tyler. Only one of their teachers showed up to
the meeting, and I didn't say it directly, but I
know there was some disappointment there and that I didn't

(11:04):
go because it's my third year with this kid, but
I legit didn't know what I had to offer, and
I had stayed late to help work on the PEMA
lighting course with two of the kids because I was
also going like, I'm not really sure how we should
submit this, because we had to submit a light plot,
and we were working together to try to get it done.
It wasn't like I was skipping it because I didn't

(11:26):
want to offer it. It was no, I have stuff
to do, and honestly, I don't really know how much
I'm going to offer here. But it made me feel
really sad looking at stuff like that. But man, this
is my third year with the same kid. I got
to watch this kid grow from a seed right like
this is. I have three kids this.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Year that I've had for four years I've had.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
I have just an overwhelming amount of really cool opportunity
and blessings to have people be a part of my life.
And that's the other part. I don't think other professions
get it. You get to build those relationships with other
people and literally watch them like a bird in a
nest situation. They get to go off and become hopefully productive,

(12:10):
healthy adults. And it's just different. It's just so different.
So I'm grateful for all of that. I want to
say I'm grateful for the scars as a reminder, but
I'm having a hard time right now being grateful for
the scars. Right now, all I feel are scars, and
I'm trying to feel better about it, but I still

(12:33):
want to live my day to day with gratitude because
it makes the It makes the other part a lot
more tolerable because I do believe that I'm there for
a purpose, and I do believe I'm there for a reason,
whatever that might be, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
It just feels right, but it also feels.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Unhealthy at the moment, so I'm trying to I'm trying
to get past that part and onto the Yeah, this
is a really dope thing we get to do, so
I'm super grateful for that. I know, normally for gratitude
we share, but I felt like this one felt like
one of those ones. I just had to get it
off my chest. That's why promo to gratitude, gratitude to promo.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
What did I do?

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Positive promo?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
I guess I'm with you. That was absolutely beautiful. I
am grateful for you, my friend. I think it's about
that time. Wwe you ready to it? Ooh okay, so yeah,
I am very excited as well. Brad. We don't have
a formal Steph watch this week because there wasn't a
lot that went down, but I'm going to begin my

(13:36):
preamble with addressing the current state of Stephanie backkaer So.
Roxane Perez appears to be Stephanie Baker's next challenger, as
set up by their face off on Monday Night Raw.
Ilia Dragonoff returned, he popped up on SmackDown. He answered
Sammu'siana's Open challenge, and he left with the United States Championship.

(13:58):
He also has a neck tattoo right now and more
muscles than he did before.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
So quite quite a few. Actually, yeah, that's due. He's
on that AJ Styles program indeed.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
And NXT Halloween Havoc is this weekend actually from Arizona.
SmackDown is going to be in Arizona as well. Halloween
Havoc is headlined by Ricky Saints versus Trick Williams. NXT
isn't quite hidden for me right now. I fully believe
that Ricky Saints will retain, but the Arizona of it
all excited that those out here in the desert will

(14:30):
be getting some live wrestling. If you attend, let us
know what you think. Hit us up at GIPOD nineteen.
We'd love to hear about your experience. But Brad, let's
actually go back to Monday Night Raw. Now Mondays are
loaded with challengers, particularly at the top of the men's division,
with braun Breaker turning on Seth Rollins last week, Yes,
I said it, broun Breaker turned on the leader of

(14:52):
the Vision. Do you foresee Breaker as the best candidate
or I should say most likely candidate to throw current
world champs Seth Rawlins Or would you prefer that the
title go to one of the following names see them
Punk l A Knight or main Event possibly Heal turning

(15:15):
Jay Hussel. Hmmm, it's a Breakers.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Hunt if it was any of those, I feel like
the l A, the l A Night, Windows Slam Shut.
I don't think they ever thought he was going to
do it, and I don't think it would be against
Seth Him defeating Monster bron Breaker would be kind of fun, though,
I think it has to be bron Breaker. I just

(15:42):
think it has to be who are who are the
biggest baby faces in w W right now? Cody Rhodes
Cody's number one, John Steen is probably number two. I
can't trust Roman Reigns because he's never there. He's he's
definitely two or three. I'm not going to strap him
up if he's on filming schedules or which I don't blame.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Him see him Punk Punk for now. Yeah, all these
guys can kind of teeter on. Well, I guess Cody
is pretty tried and true Babyface, but I feel like
all these guys have a potential, especially Cody and Punk
have a potentially at baic heel turn run in them.
But right now that would be at the top of
my list. I mean, those are the four heavy hitters, Cody, Sina, Roman,

(16:23):
and Chicago Phil.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
So Cody and.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
A bunch of people at the tail end of their
careers who are either going to be done in a
month or two, probably in the next five years certainly,
And but l A. Knight's not exactly super young either.
So no, bron Breaker is the youngest guy you got
and if you can build on what he is now

(16:51):
having having, you know, maybe he stays bron Breaker forever
and maybe some days he flips it and comes out
as a Steiner. If he comes out as a Steiner
and storyline to change his character at some point in
his career as like a monster heel, but then comes
out as a Steiner to be a babyface or something,
Oh my gosh, can you imagine, like that's that that

(17:13):
entrance as like a Mania entrance. You play that, but
it says Steiner on the top, people will lose their minds.
That would get the all the all the people that
are like aw Dieheart's I think that would get them
to flip over and check that out just because of
the pro wrestling history legacy part of it. Maybe they

(17:35):
don't tune in, and maybe they don't spend the thirty bucks,
but they probably want to check it out because they're like, oh,
that's a Steiner kid. Cool, that's really cool, or nothing
would happen there. It has to be brown Breaker. It's
definitely brown Breaker's time. You and I probably have felt
like it has been for a while. But I also
feel like, do you does brown Breaker need Paul Hayman this.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Point, I might surprise you. I would like Paul Ye
to stick with bron Breaker. Does he need Paul?

Speaker 2 (18:10):
I want him to stick with him too, but need
not as a manager but as a mouthpiece.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Yeah, bron Breaker's shown a lot of progress on the
mic over the last year. I'm gonna say no, he
doesn't need Paul Haymen, and particularly after the move to
spear seth Rollins on Monday, and I'd be missprat if
I didn't mention. This is coming off reports that Seth
Rollins may have sustained an injury during his match against
Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel per So perhaps that has

(18:35):
sped up the bron Breaker coronation. But does bron Breaker
need Paul Hayman at this point and based on the
response from from the turn on Seth last week, I
would say no.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I think Also on that note, it looked like Fightful
had reported that it could keep him sidelined Seth Rollins
pronounced pal sidelined until potentially WrestleMania with a shoulder injury.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
So that this does not appear to be a work.
It's worth noting because we had a major storyline earlier
this year. Yeah, Seth Rollin's injury presented in a way
that felt very much like still well.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
And that I still don't know if that was a
work or if he had like a little bit of
a niche week and then exaggerated, yes, why we love
pro wrestling. That's like, you never know, blurring the lines, right,
It's a great point. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so uh yeah,
I think it's Bronze time, and I think Braun on
the Mic reminds me so much of Scott Steiner, so
much of him.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Like that that's that's an immediate selling point for me.
He doesn't need to do math or.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Anything, but like I think it's he just sounds so
much like big popa pump that I love when he
speaks for himself and he does a great job with it.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Yeah, I just can't believe we're we're here already if
we track the career brown Breaker that we've seen, well.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I feel like for four years you've been like, call
him up to the main roster and we wrap him up.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
That's we have. Yeah, yeah, we have. We we played
a part in this happen potentially.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yes, for the entirety of the run of GI.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
I think, indeed, I remember bron Breaker being one of
the faces, if not the face, of NXT two point
zero when when the Rainbow trailer launched, when we first
got a sense for what is this new NXT, bron
Breaker was obviously positioned at the very center of it. Yeah.
Like you said, Brad, he had a very long run

(20:24):
in n XT. One could argue he stayed in that
brand longer than he needed to. I think he even
may have faced l a knight at some point back
when he was there. If you do with Dolph Ziggler,
he had the Carmelo Hayes feud, so on and so forth.
But even when he left NXT, there were still questions
about how is this gonna how is he going to
transit as a character on the mean roster? Who is
the bron Breaker character. We've seen him as a baby face,

(20:44):
we've seen him as a heel. This current version to me,
I'll give flowers to WWE and specifically creative for this.
I think this is the best position bron Breaker has
been in since we've been introduced to him as a
professional wrestler. So as a character, I think he can
only go up from. And if you would have told
me by the end of calendar year twenty twenty five,

(21:04):
bron Breaker would be holding the top title on RAW,
I don't know if I would have said that. I
believe you so. In part of course, it could be
due to this, you know, this alleged seth rollins injury
and okay, what we gotta pivot, But I think also
the other half of it is, hey, we have a
young star who is ready, who is going to be
the face of this company for the next ten years.

(21:25):
You know, God willing, this guy is ready. He's put
in the work, and I'm happy to see what he does.
Like you said, Brad, who are going to be the
faces of the company over the next decade, particularly on
the men's roster. If Roman is gone, we know Johnsen
is retiring, Seampunk is in his golden years. Cody Rhodes
is not a rookie by any means. Excited to see

(21:48):
what bron Breaker does with that position out because he's
he's at the leaderboard for who are those people who
can usher in this next generation of stardom for the company,
particularly on the men's roster. Baker to me is at
the very top of that candidate pool, and I'm excited
that we're already Unfortunately that this could have happened because
of us as Rollin's injury, but I'm happy that we're

(22:10):
potentially seeing the coordination of a younger star because WWE
desperately needs that all these dudes are going to retire
at some point and who's going to carry the baton.
Looks like it's going to be the guy who runs
the ropes at twenty three miles per hour. According to
his tea shirt.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
It's just absolutely absurd how fast that man is.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
It's crazy. But Baltimore Ravens could use hit back by
the way. Yeah, I know, I don't know if there's
no scout again, but Lamar could use some help shout
to hit Mojo.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yeah, yeah, it's crazy how fast that dude is. I
just I'll never understand anybody that can run like that.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, man, I just.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Well, let me let me transition into this because I
think there's one other person here that might have something
to say about it at some point maybe, And that's
why I wrote this question. It's a very quick question.
Alea drag Enough is the US champ Tyler what's his ceiling.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
World champ? World Champ? Yeah, absolutely, he has such a
unique presentation. Speaking of nx T two point zero, actually
brown Breaker main title holder there on the men's side.
Uh oh yeah, dragon Off also had the for he
but he had the title right, Carmelo Hayes, Brown Breaker,
dragon Off. You know these were guys.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Who classics with Walter the Artist.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
Yeah. Yeah, he was the guy to put down Walter Yea.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
And their second match together just Hamburger meet that match.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Said, Yes, he has such a unique presentation, And what
I appreciate thus far is that we're living in a
time where we don't have to rely on Oh, he's
the foreign heel, he's the Russian heel. Boo him book
him as such. I'm glad that what we've seen of
him previously, Uh, there's more layers to his character and

(23:58):
he's completely unique from anyone else on their roster. So
him coming back and being the guy to beat Sammy's ain,
what's his ceiling? I really believe it's world Champrad. What
say you?

Speaker 2 (24:08):
I agree completely. I just need to see him in
more matches like that. I thought he and Sammy had
a really good one because they didn't. Okay, So I
have a lot of thoughts about these things, but WWE
tends toll.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
In a lot of cases.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Take away the thing that makes a talent great, that
made them that name to get them to ww WE
in the first place. And having somebody like Ilia or
having Gunther work the way that they've worked the entire
time and then ticket tweak it change it would would
absolutely kill what they're able to do. And having Sammy
be allowed to be Sammy's ain, Eljenerico, whatever you want,

(24:46):
to go if they're even related, having them wrestle the
way that they should be wrestling with basically a strong
style more of like a like a UK wrestling style,
like an English strong style than a Japanese strong style.
But the whole point is like the really really hard

(25:07):
hitting stuff and the fast paced, aggressive movements. I always
thought he would have been in perfect fit in a
w he would imagine Ilia versus will Ospray, like, I
just I you don't even need the rest of the card,
just give me that. I'd be there for that all
day long. I think that match would be incredible. But
I've also thought the same thing about Pete Dunn and

(25:29):
and several of the others that are there. Pete Dunn
versus Pete Dun, Doune versus Zach Saber Junior, that Forbidden
Door would be would be amazing. I would I would
be there for that. So there's a lot of different
places and and thoughts and uh, I just I'm just
glad he's back. For for a second, I was like, wait,

(25:49):
who's that dude with the giant robotic knee. He had
the stone cold brace on. That was the one thing
I noticed he was he was coming out there with
that that giant like Christian Bail Dark Knight rises brace. Yes,
uh yeah, that was. It was a massive knee brace,
which I feel like has to be a weapon at
some point where they're like, well he's got that knee

(26:10):
brace on, which gives them a little extra strength and
you know what's gonna happen. But uh, actually fact I
think it did. But uh, I'm just glad he's back,
and I think it's see wing also his world champ.
The only place that he might need some some help
is maybe on the microphone.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
But you know that's why you have somebody like Paul
Hyman or something.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
Mm hmm yeah yeah. His intensity I really so it's
reminiscent to me of what I love about Kyle Fletcher.
Let's say, e w yes, is it looks like he's
trying to win the match every urgency right urgency?

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yes, yeah. The vocal element, particularly Kyle Fletcher's work. I
just he's just hitting on all on, firing on all cylinders.
For me, that's how that's how you say that expression.
But no dragging off. Yeah, really really special and particularly
on act down when you have all of these various characters,
he really stands out as being completely unique and completely

(27:06):
separate of everything else that's being presented. Also, I'm very
excited for Alistair Black and Selina Vega. That was a
really cool thing. Yes, speaking of unique characters, can't wait
for we're speaking about people on the roster who have
world World Champion ceilings. Who becomes World champist Alistair Blacker
or Eliot Dragonoff?

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Well at this point, Alistair Black.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Because Dragonoff already has the title, so.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
That'd be great.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Maybe maybe I don't know, maybe Cody and Alistair Black
run it back, please, that would be that would yeah,
but they're on different Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Wait, no they're not. No, they're not. Cody's Cody SmackDown guy.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Cody did yeah with Drew right now?

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Still yeah, you got to drive it into the dirt somehow.
One of the to your point, Jeremy Allen White, who
was I couldn't remember his the actor's name?

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Who was?

Speaker 1 (28:03):
He was in The Iron Claw. I was like, what
is the movie's name?

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Spristeen Jones.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
He's got yes, yes, yes, and it looks incredible. That
dude is amazing. Well, anyway, he was talking about working
with Shavo and him saying like doing all this stuff,
and doing all this stuff and just being totally exhausted,
and it's like, yeah, okay, now you got to get up,
Get up, you got to fire up. Now He's like,
fire up. I can hardly breathe. Yes, yeah, So I

(28:28):
was thinking about it last night during that a W
match and watching the Dragon Off match. How similar to
your point Kyle Fletcher and Dragon Off are Fletcher had
just done like eight hundred and seventy five athletic things
in a row to Mark Brisco, throwing him around, hoisting
him up, doing all this stuff, then got him on
the top rope and did this barbaric like five second

(28:51):
long scream, driving all the air out of his body
before picking him up for a brainbuster onto the belt
or under the buckle.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
And I just all.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
I could think is like, what kind of shape is
this dudent that he can go and do like five
deadlifts and then scream and then do another one.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
But with his arms there were there. I know, we'll
get to it a more details. So there were several
matches in moments on aw Wrestle Dream. Yes, it was
precisely a band. It was precisely the whole presentation of
Bandido where I had to get up rad to get
water because I was I was fatigued just just seeing
the sheer athleticism at the cardiovascular strength.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Yeah, I can only it's.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
It's this is why we have a podcast, This is
why we marvel at the men and women who do
what they do. It is nothing short of incredible every
single time.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Yeah, and I'm actually really looking forward to hearing your
thoughts in the future here about what happened on Wrestle Dream.
But before we get into Wrestle Dream, I'm sure, I'm
sure some of these older folks are still dreaming of
the perfect match, and I know it's time to get
into it and get an.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Update to play the music. It's time for a rose
from Tyler.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
And now for a rose from GI's Most Eligible Bachelor.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Easily one of my favorite transitions in the history of
this segment. That that wasn't eleven out of ten, All right, Brad,
my notes from the Golden Bachelor. There were mud baths, unicycles.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
In not WW style ones right like yeah, no's of
W style to clarify, and tantrick love sessions.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
What I will say to you is that the Hometown
episode is already this week. So believe it or not,
we are precisely in week five of mel Ow's this season,
and already he's visiting the hometowns of the ladies. I
do want to stand on business. I want to say
this with my chest. Last week was dedicated to hot
girl Peg. We are still riding Peg to the very end.

(31:04):
I think Peg is going to win at all. I
know there's there're Cindy, uh their their other favorites within
Bachelor Nation, but I'm sticking with it, Brad, I think
Peg is going all the way. She is my pick.
There was an observatory date on this week's episode as well,
so my rose goes to quite simply observatory dates. I've

(31:26):
not been on one, but I will say this is
my favorite part of last week's episode, which leads me
to my question for you, my my Bachelor themed question,
what's the most educational date that you've taken? Jessica Winchester
on I Know you Too, Love the I was trying
to think of the name of this as I was

(31:46):
planning for episode. Yeah, I called it in my notes
Sonoran Outdoor Jones, the Sonoran Desert Museum. I couldn't Yeah, Yeah,
I know it's that place outside with a gimmick falcony.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
Yeah yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
I'm quite sure I've actually been there. I think I've
been there on a date. This is going back to
the what's the dance? If you'll call that that Freyer
goes to show biz. Gosh, I'm clearly killing it with
with the with my notes and my memory today show
base shout out to the show my show biz days.
I'm quite sure I've been on a date there, but alas,

(32:21):
this is your time to shine, not mine. Most educational
date you've taken, jess on, have you been to an
observatory or are you sticking with synory outdoor Jones?

Speaker 1 (32:28):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I don't know that jess would even be interested in
going to an observatory. So for me, I'm yes, I'm
all in. You want to sell me on a date
observatory museum. No, she's she's good.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
I don't. I don't think this is stuff.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't think she's super into The
educational date wasn't as some kind of entertainment component attached
to it, Okay, like if you were going to go
to an observatory and they had some sort of like
show going on with the observatory, okay, sure, Or if
it was like we're going to the observatory because they're
supposed to be this righteous meteor shower or there's a

(33:04):
comet or something like that, totally different scenario.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
But I also don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
I think she just likes going so she likes going out,
she likes doing that. I think she's more about the
ambiance of the place we're going to you, rather than
what that place is about. So we like going to
the Desert Museum at night during the summer for two reasons.
One it's a towering inferno during the day, and two
it is so beautiful there at night this summer. I

(33:31):
got to get you out. Maybe we'll we'll set you
up on a date and you can come out to
the Desert Museum with us at night. There's a teacher's night,
so if you don't want to pay and you want
to come down, you can save seventeen dollars by driving
two hours plus to and figuring out where to sleep,
which is probably gonna be more than the cost of admission.
But they have some giveaways and stuff there, but it's

(33:53):
that's probably it.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
We used to go out there all the time. For
date night.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
At night pre Frea, we would go to the Acatillo Cafe.
They have a like a restaurant on site, which is
I don't want to say it's falling off, because the
food's still really good, but it's like it just feels
like a casual restaurant now and not like this special
thing you get to go to. Before it just felt
different and now it feels like, oh, there's fries on
the floor.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
H Okay. It just felt like, Wow, I'm going out
to this very unique spot.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
So I'd have to say that other than that, it
would be like to a theater, you know, that's the
next closest thing.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
But yeah, that's I can't think of anything else, man.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
And particularly in Arizona, that's really interesting. And particularly in Arizona,
I don't know that we have like per mileage or
square footage, we have as many museums as there are
on the East coast. No, no, I remember I remember
going to see my family or.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
The farther farther west, like is in California.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
For sure, O Cali. Absolutely, I remember going to see
see family in New Jersey, in New York, going on
a trip to DC and just the amount of history
there and even Tennessee shut out to my summer in Memphis.
There's just a lot of opportunities for those educational experiences
that I think, yeah, if you look closely enough in Arizona,
even in Phoenix I've learned since since being back here

(35:11):
the past few years, there are so many smaller museums
that maybe don't get the same acclaim as the national ones.
But like you said, what we may lack in the
amount of museums per capita, I think we definitely make up.
And then just the outdoor and the nature.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Yeah, the botanical gardens, the botanicals, all the mountains, so
many mountains to Song Phoenix.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
I mean it's pretty. It's pretty.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
It's pretty tremendous and easily accessible too, Like you can
just go the camel back if you want to. You
can go to drive up to Mount Lemon and get
amazing picture opportunities on the way up.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Yes, Sunny Mountain. Yeah, the six hundred freshmen will walked
to the mountain this past week to paint.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
The s and the valley is such an interesting place.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
It's like almost like a weird square shaped things rounded
by mountains and then other mountains just sort of in
the middle of it, like just randomly dispersed throughout, like
when you're over by the campus in Tempe. When we
were staying we stayed at the hotel out there, we
were on a little mountain. It was just like a
little mountain. You look out and they're like, Okay, there's

(36:17):
the stadium. I can tell that's where that is because
there's a mountain there. But it's like a mountain and nothing. Yeah,
it's just it's just the lonely mountain. It's like the
Hobbit where there's just a thing rising up from the ground.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Just I love, I love, I love where we live.
It is it's such a unique special place.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
I absolutely agree.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
I think for for her it's about the trip and
the going more than the education part of it. For so,
I guess if the purpose is what educational place have
we gone to? I mean, we've gone to places where
we get tours and stuff, but it's usually not about that.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
It's about going to see the thing.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
So like if I went on an educational tour at
the Grand Canyon, does that account We went to the
Mine Museum when we went to Bisbee, does that count?
Because we were just going to Bisbee for the day,
to go to go to Bisbey and that was that
was all it was for. But we can go on
and on and about that, and I want to make
it about me. I want to make it about ae
W Wressel Dream Tyler. So let's get into it.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Yeah, So you and I to pull a curtive fully back.
You and I were debating how to talk Wrestle Dream
because this was a Saturday AW pay per view rather
than God. So we were dropping words like immediacy and
efficiency and figuring out what does our audience want to hear?
So rather than going match by match by match, I
want to ask you big picture, Brad aw Wrestle Dream

(37:35):
Saint Louis, Missouri. First off, I love the interview with
Luthez's widow. She's just like an absolutely wonderful woman. That
just made me great, speaking of gratitude, speaking of joy,
speaking of really fear stylish eyeglass frames.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Those were great. Joy might be getting some red ones.
I just wanted to give her a big hug. She
seemed absolutely lovely. But eventually we went on to the
to the main card of AW Wressel Dream. So many
matches Brad a multi hour event. My question for you,
Wressel Dream did happen? What did you think of the

(38:14):
show and whose story are you most invested in?

Speaker 3 (38:18):
Following the pay.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Per view, I have almost the exact same question, with
a couple of tweaks and caveats. That's really when we
said this, this is what we do. So I'm going
to read some of the notes that I wrote down
on here. Okay, Mercedes in stat they're going to face
off at full gear?

Speaker 3 (38:33):
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 2 (38:39):
I feel complicated. Ways, We'll come back to it. Sting
will do anything for Derby. I knew that Sting was
going to show up. Did you know Sting would be there?

Speaker 3 (38:50):
I did. I regretted not predicting that on last week's podcast. Yeah,
I actually I forgot that he didn't show up at
all in Texas. In my mind I rewrote that, and
I in my mind I wrote that he helped Hangman win.
But we haven't seen Steing on aw TV since is
that revolution? Did I hear that correctly? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (39:12):
Sounds right.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Wow, I thought we had seen him.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
No, he's been at conventions and stuff, but he's not
doing makeup at the conventions. Anymore, he's done with that
whole thing. I thought he looked great with the white hair.
I was like, cool, look, yeah, go out there and
just be you. I thought that was really dope.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
I fully expected it. I regretted not predicting it on
the podcast last week.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
I expected it, but I didn't know until Darby's entrance.
I knew it immediately.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
How so well did you watch the did you watch
the tron?

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Yes? Yes, the crow? Yes, okay, that's why. That's why
I really like that great and with the with the
new logo that loved and.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
I was like that that entrance stood. I still love
the cartoon or thing. Yeah, I thought that was really
cool like Max max Fleischer style or flesher.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
I can't remember how to say it.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
But this is Darby grown up. This is Darby with
chest hair. He's no longer. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
Yeah. As soon as I saw the crow was going
like that.

Speaker 3 (40:05):
I was like, oh, this is it.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
SIGs showing up. I was like, that's that's gonna be it.
So that was really cool. I thought that was really dope,
or at least like the passing to the torch and
I love that that stings like yeah, I had such
a positive time there probably my favorite part of my
whole career, and I got to go out of my
own terms the way I wanted to and like got
to be celebrated. Why would we not want to come
back and help out that place, especially for that kid,

(40:27):
which I thought was super cool.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Can we talk about how much I disliked that match?

Speaker 2 (40:33):
I it was another match of Darby being murdered from
ninety percent of it, yeah, And I was just like,
oh yeah, I wasn't a big fan. I didn't think
it was like a bad It just felt like nothing
new happened except for the aquarium, which just made me
uncomfortable because all I could think about was like, Okay,

(40:55):
you can have all the sugar glass you want out there.
That's there's no way that that sugar glass or would
have broken with the water, dissolved with the water. And
they're you know that Darby Coffin dropped mocks and did
that suplex and stuff, but he's the one that landed
on his back in that puddle of water with all
the broken glass and it it's like and when Darby
hit it and not glass into the crowd, I was like,
this is a bad look, guys. This is you should

(41:17):
not be doing this so that. I had a lot
of thoughts about that part, but maybe I'm too big
of a baby for that stuff. But I wouldn't want
to get glass in the face during a match, just
me as a fan. I also wrote some other stuff
on here, but I'll save it for later. I think

(41:37):
I think Tony and Mina going after the tag titles
is gonna be really fun because I think it's pretty
clear that's what's going on there right, Like they're both upset,
they both lost their matches, and they both love each other.
Makes sense have to get to get Tony out of
the title picture for now, have her chase a different title,
and I think that one will be a lot of
fun to watch Mercedes going out after Stats. To circle

(42:01):
back to that, I don't want either of them to lose.
I don't want Stat to have this short of a
title run after all these years. I think that's mad disrespectful.
If that happens at the same time, doesn't mean she
can't win it back later because I kind of want
this belt collector thing to keep going. Who do they

(42:22):
have to start taking the belts? Kenny Omega, Like I
don't really know like, what's what's the next what's the
next move?

Speaker 3 (42:34):
Is this?

Speaker 2 (42:35):
Is this when we get a return of somebody does
this when we are? They holding out and they know
about somebody that's coming up?

Speaker 4 (42:41):
Is this?

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (42:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
Is this a Bailey thing because it seems like she's
doing just fine now? Is this a I don't know
what's going on? So I'm sure they have a plan.
This is a great way to recognize her. Maybe this
is a let's have her strap up with all the
independent titles in the world so when she leaves she
can hang that, she can hang on that when she
goes back to WWB. Is that what's going on here?

Speaker 1 (43:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
I have no idea what's happening right now. So I'm
interested to see what happens. But it's not the one
I'm thinking about. The one that I'm thinking about I
want to ask a question about. So I'm going to
hold off on that. So I feel like fine about it,
but I didn't like feeling like cool.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
I watched the.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Maybe I'll feel better about it in January. So, Tyler,
did you watch any of the Avengers movies?

Speaker 3 (43:29):
I'm gonna ask for your forgiveness no, I have not.
You suck.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
So the first Avengers is an amazing payoff.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
Okay, if you watch the other movies to have that
happen first, it's like it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
So the second Avengers Age.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
Of Ultron, when I watch it now, I go, Okay,
this is a good movie, and people hated on it
for no reason, including myself, where I watched it and
felt like it was a setup for part three more
than I thought it was its own good movie. I
just felt like they were going, like ah, getting ready
for Avengers three. Wreussell Dream felt like a setup for
Full Gear more than it felt like its own pay

(44:06):
per view. And I'm sure it is because of how
many injuries happened because of contract status things, and I'm
sure that's why it felt like this, because they had
to pivot so quickly, and considering that they put on
a hell of a car. But it just felt like
a like a placeholder, like crap, we have an obligation
to meet and we got to have this thing. All

(44:27):
the matches were bangers, and I don't regret spending the
money on it, but I don't know that we got
much storyline payoff without outside of maybe the main event,
and maybe Mercedes and Stat setting that up, but even
that felt like there was no build to Mercedes and Mina.

Speaker 1 (44:43):
The crowd was like, respectfully, like.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Oh when Mina came out, but not like let's go
it's Mina, Like it was just like, oh, cool, we
get to see this again. And that's kind of how
I felt about it too. I was like, all right,
we just saw this wasn't that long ago. Why would
I feel like there's going to be any different outcome
just because she won a title somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
I just I don't know.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
I didn't like that when there's all these other people
you could have put in that spot. How many people
were on the card that didn't get used for that?

Speaker 1 (45:16):
Where's Sheidah is?

Speaker 2 (45:17):
She's sick, hurt, not on contract, stuck in Japan. I
don't know what's going on with Shida. Sida would have
been the one I wanted to see there. That would
have been an amazing pop from the crowd, and that
match would have ruled, So.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
I would have liked to have seen that.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
Maybe it just couldn't work out, but I'm glad we'd
have got that spot because I love her and i'd
like to see more of her, so and I think
we will now now that she doesn't have the title
in our Oh so yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
I don't know, man, how did you feel she's awesome? Well, first,
what worked so well for me watching this show was
the fact that we got three women's matches. Yeah, that's
the first.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Yeah, it was a little bit of love women's wrestling.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
So this is your yeah pay per view history. Yeah,
so that that was amazing to be in the show.
And I guess you. Technically began the show with FTR
versus Jet Speed, carrying over from Tailgate Prawl, which which
is interesting that that was a choice that was kind
of fun.

Speaker 1 (46:08):
I wasn't mad. I like that. I was like, oh,
are they gonna do this for the first time?

Speaker 3 (46:11):
This is yeah. Yeah, that match was absolutely nuts that
that the ending.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
Was cheeks, but the match was incredible.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
Whenever Bailey does the the double leg kick standing like
like side thrust kicks to the Yeah, sidekicks to the
face where it's just like whack, whack, whack.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
It's incredible. It's incredible. It gave me shades of those
bangers that FTR would put on when they were in
NXT on those takeover cards. It was tremendous, So we
opened the show with the revival, talk about it. Techla
versus Jamie Hayter. Awesome, awesome match.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
I love that match.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
Later on stat versus Tony Storm and the right woman
wins that match. Chris stat Lander gets the big, big dub,
and then we go into Mercedes versus Mina. I just
love that. Finally we got three matches. I think we're
even inching closer to women main eventing one of these
pay per views at some point. But that was a
huge win for me. We mentioned it earlier, the year
of Bandido. I know we're not too far away from

(47:14):
our year Year in Review, our twenty twenty five recap
podcast episode. Bandido is going to be a conversation that
we're going to have. He is just put on an
absolutely outstanding year. Great performance after great performance, Brad, I'm
gonna say that that I quit match. I popped for
staying because, of course, of course, I thought John Moxley

(47:39):
was going to suffer more punishment before he decided to
end the match. I mean, this is John Moxley, this
is the ace of the company.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
This is four times I thought the problem was world
Champion happened way too quickly.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
It happened way too quickly, but Darby gets to win.
Predictable in terms of whose story I'm most invested in.
Leaving the show, I'm going to go back to christat Lander.
I'm very eager to see what happens with Jurassic Express.
By the way, I think this is scenario for jungle Jack,
Perry and Lucasaurus. I just love them most as performers.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
And the Bus honestly, and the Bus like Bucks, I
think what they've been they're so underrated with what they've
been doing.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
Over Absolutely, we'll be the second match on the card.
We'll put out another great performance. Yeah, that's perfect. We
can do that. We don't need to be anywhere near
the titles. Yeah, give us these funny entrances with Broke
Bucks or I thought that was so good. Don't give
us any music they just I love that. Chris stat
Lander is my choice though. This this current program, this
title reign is elevating her. She's a day one, She's

(48:42):
she's an original for aew her becoming work.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
I gotta get her fig out and put it up.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
You you must, this is a must. By next week's
So Brad Winchester, the prospect of Chris Statlander defeating Mercedes
Money at full gear is incredibly incicing to me, you
mentioned earlier, I don't know how they're gonna do, okay.
Is it's gonna be another title for title? Is this
gonna be what Mercedes did at all in where it's
only for the title she doesn't have. I don't know yet,

(49:08):
But to me, the move is Chris Statlander finally beating Mercedes.
She's always two against her. I think she gets to
win at full year, and I really believe this reign
that she's on. Not only are we getting new elements
of her character, but also I think this is elevating
her to a new tier, the top of the women's division.
In AW It's been Tony Storm and Mercedes Money for

(49:29):
the past twelve months. I think this reign is putting
Chris Statlander on the level on that same level, at
least I hope up.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
So two, I'm going to lead into my question here, So,
coming out of Wressell Dream, what do you hope from
Andrade if and when you have a choice here, if
and when he gets out of a non compete or
what is your level excitement for both a returning Heeled
Joe as you said you want and powerhouse ops.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
Yes, I was hoping you would bring that up so
I can display some humility. Brad. Yes, I wanted this.
I put this out there last week and I was
I was right about something. Moo Joe is my favorite
Tomoa Joe. I have questions the OPS versus the Hurt
Syndicate on Dynamite this week. If we didn't get there

(50:21):
dropping their dropping, I hope so hang In costs them? Maybe?
Is that the direction this goes?

Speaker 1 (50:29):
No?

Speaker 2 (50:29):
No, no, no, I mean yes, yes, because because the syndicate has,
you know, essentially flipped babyface even though they haven't changed
a thing, because because they've been fighting a heel faction,
that's obviously a heel faction. So to have the ops
the heel faction. But but then do you kill that
right away? Just hook it involved like I don't, I

(50:51):
don't know what's going to happen here, yea?

Speaker 3 (50:53):
And what about the what about the demand? I was
very pro let's have the Demand beat the Hurt Syndicate
and then the domain and I'm upsetting it on the
podcast the Demand beat the trio who dethrown the ops.
But I I would be okay with the Hurt Syndicate
winning it. I just need the Demand to be the
trio that ends up beating the Hurt Syndicate in that scenario.

(51:14):
But I love that's Mojo turt Heel that that's great,
That's what I want.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
I don't see MVP doing the trios thing because he
said he's day's behind me, but he's like, one thing
I can do still is fight. It was the whole
point of the promo, well, not wrestling a trios match.
Was That's not part of the promo, he cut.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
So maybe this is the time they bring in a
new member. Yeah, I don't. I've not seen any reports
that Cedric Alexander has reupt with CNA. Yeah, maybe there's
someone else who they'll bring in. It's it's interesting. But
for Andrade, and you pointed this out a few minutes ago,
all signs seem to point to Andrade versus Kenny Omega

(51:51):
being a marquee match on the show. Pivots had to
be made. We didn't see that. If and when Andreide
does return to aw Brad, I want him as far
away from the don Kallis family as humanly possible. He
doesn't need them. I'm not even advocating that you bring
back Jose the assistant. If those are the sistants of
going back, that's awesome for him. But Andrade, to me,

(52:14):
doesn't need any of that. We've seen him practice English
over the years. I'm sure he's still working at it.
The presentation of Andrade to me doesn't need anyone else
to help him shine. I would want him to branch
out on his own, to have that feud with Kenny
Omega and then be a challenger for the Unified title
or the aw Men's World Championship. I just don't I

(52:40):
just don't need any more members of the Don Kallis family,
and I certainly don't need Andrade joining that group. You
already have Kyle Fletcher, as I believe a commentary called
the golden Goose of the family. Yeah, there are only
so many golden geese you can have. Yeah, there's Ale
Fletcher is that guy. Andrade should be a separate and

(53:01):
he could be a heel for sure, but he could
be a separate ADI. So I need the Kenny Omega feud,
and then I think Andreida would be a fantastic challenger
for that unified championship picture, especially if Knoskate Takeshta ENDSPD
throw ning Kazucio Kata maybe as soon as full gear,
who would then challenge to skate to Kenoskate. Tesha I

(53:23):
said why why not?

Speaker 2 (53:24):
Androwd yeah, I'm looking at this right now, there is
a okay, so sources and TNA reached out after the
contract story was published. This according to Fightful Select on Patreon.
But the deal is up around the time of bound
for Gloria as and now Cedric would be a free agent,
noted that TNA is hoping and expecting to retain Cedric.

(53:45):
So I couldn't remember what the exact article had had said,
but sounds like he would probably be available if they
wanted a side Said and have kind of the the
original Hurt business return as a unified Hurt syndicate named
whether that happens, which I think it sounded like that
would be unlikely that Said would go to AW probably

(54:06):
because of the history that his wife had with the company.
I'm not sure if that will happen, but you know
who knows who knows? We I never thought Leo Rush
would go back either, so strange, stranger things have happened.
I think Andrada Kenny is the move. I think that's
why we had Kenny on the show doing stuff, but

(54:28):
not in the show right and getting to very very quickly,
but not for a very long amount of time, Honor Anoki.
I believe it was three seconds of time where they
went past to make sure we could see Lucasaus walking
through the entrance. I thought for sure he was going
to get more involved with the Bucks when he came out.

(54:49):
Maybe the Elite reunifies and goes after the Trios title again,
but as a as a babyface faction. Who knows, who
knows what's going to happen. I can see the Bucks.
Maybe that's maybe that's the move. The Bucks come out
and help Kenny when the when the Callus family is
getting involved or something where Jurassic Express comes out there.

(55:09):
I was kind of a surprised that he came out
to help Jurassic Express, given how we reacted to Jungle
Boy Jack Perry. I don't know that's that's a complicated
fellow there, so we'll we'll see. I'm excited for Samoa
Joe being healed. I don't really know where this goes
with a faction. I just wanted to heal Samoa Joe.

(55:33):
I want him cutting like really angry aggressive promos like
he has over the last week. I need that Joe back,
like red faced and sweating and slobbering all over the place.
But I would also like to I like that we're
getting Hobbs back on Twitter, like just referencing pop songs
because that's just what That's just what he does.

Speaker 1 (55:58):
So I thought that was really cool. But we'll see
what happens.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
I'm excited. I think I think the future is still
looking really bright. We're gonna have people coming off injury.
I hope we get a will Osbury update, but I mean,
I'm doubt we'll see him for a while. It's probably
gonna be like a year before we see him, which
which bombs me out. But I hope he I hope
he peels up and is recovering and all of those things.

(56:21):
It just begs the question, when are we going to
get Switchblade? And where's Dan Hausen?

Speaker 3 (56:26):
Yeah, you talk about title contenders to switch but and then.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
Not a title content? Would I miss him?

Speaker 3 (56:32):
I hope he's doing well. I think he's wrestling at
a smaller independent show. In Arizona.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
Yeah, I know he's still on contract, but it's just
like he's just not there and I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (56:41):
It's just yeah, chpecially this time of year. You know
how much merch you'd sell before.

Speaker 3 (56:45):
We had this converse. Look about this conversation last Halloween
as well, flashed October, Hey, where's Dan Housen? This could
be the time, and then it just came and went yep,
unfortunately that's wild man. Well, Brad, it's that time of
the episode. Did we miss I'll kick it to you first?
How about that? You know, trying something new with taking chances?
Brad Winchester. What did we miss from the week?

Speaker 1 (57:08):
Quite a few things, so Fallen Gray.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
I don't know if it happened this week or the
week before, but fall and Gray had our first Canadian
match ever. Shout out to Arizona's own Billy gil Guiermo,
a longtime Dan Lebottard show producer, is moving on to
do a show on Spotify and he was a huge
part of that show and it's going to be strange
having that component not there because he's really talented and

(57:33):
a lot of fun. So hopefully he has success there By,
like watching people move on in the industry to go
new creative prospects and endeavors. Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker
opened up a gaming store, a sort of like wrestling
themed game store. I want to say it was an
Illinois I can't remember. I linked an article I could
share with you later. Shins Ky Nakamer is still amazing,

(57:53):
but his Japanese appearance with his original theme was great.
That was the part that made me the happiest is
they didn't play heel theme. Marjorie Taylor Green, I find
myself going, yeah, good points, that's never happened before. And
then I have a really funny quote from one Tyler

(58:14):
McDowell blanket, and the quote is we are still writing
PEG till the very end.

Speaker 4 (58:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (58:20):
I thought about that when I said.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
I decided to let it go and wait till the
end of the year.

Speaker 3 (58:24):
To bring I appreciate you doing that.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
I appreciate any other name probably would have been okay,
But thanks a tough one.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
You know it goes well. Listen, I got two items
before we close out. Number one TNA Bound for Glory
ended with one of my favorite moments in wrestling from
the year, Mike Santana the throned Trick Williams to become
TNA World Champion. He summons his daughter Arianna in the ring,
who's been a pivotal part of Mike Santana's story of redemption,

(58:55):
personal redemption, professional redemption. And so he gets on one
knee and presents the belt to his daughter. I think
his daughter's ten or eleven. And man, that just hit me.
That just hit me right in the fields. Brad, What
a cool moment. What an amazing year for Mike Santana.
Speaking of people will discuss during our Year in Review

(59:16):
episode in a couple months, Mike Santana will surely be
a conversation. And then, Brad, you mentioned on the political
side of things. I'm gonna throw one name at you
in the political slash news journalism world. Barry Weiss, co
founder of The Free Press is now let's try that again.
Barry Wise, co founder of The Free Press, is now
the editor in chief of CBS News. Barry Wise has

(59:39):
been Oh she's a former New York Times opinion columnist,
and she's been at the forefront of this conversation around
She does not identify as conservative, but she's also been
someone in the news who's written critiques about the left
and the Democratic Party and the issue she has with
which many would call thequote unquote woke mob or the

(01:00:02):
woke contingent of the party. So she's gained a lot
of notoriety, she's gained a fan base. She co founded
this website, the Free Press, separate from the New York Times,
that is supposed to be the arbiter of truth, no nonsense,
no woke, no spin, and they come to find out.
Brad although she has not led a newsroom or bid
an editor before, she has now been assigned the editor

(01:00:24):
in chief role at CBS News. This, of course, after
paramount CBS in bed you could say, with the current
White House and the current administration and mergers and FCC pressures,
Barry Weiss is now one of the leaders of one
of the most prominent news organizations in the history of

(01:00:46):
the United States. I'm thinking of the nightly news for CBS.
I'm thinking of sixty Minutes, I'm thinking of the star
warts of journalism, and now you have someone leading that
organization who people have questions about. To say the least,
it will be a fascinating story to track for the
rest of this year and rest assured we'll be covering
it here at GI Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
It's honestly, it's kind of terrifying. I yeah, I don't
even know what to say to that. I checked out
the article when you when you linked it to me,
and it's, uh, it's fright frightening prospect. But also I'm
not unfortunately, I'm not surprised.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
I just.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
What what is anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Doing to slow this stuff down? It just doesn't feel
like anybody's doing anything.
