Speaker 1 (00:02):
And now Dammage in Fringemen.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Welcome everybody to the Gimmick in Fringe With podcast. I
am Brad Winchester with me as always as my tag
team partner Tyler McDowell, Blank and Tyler. It was a
weird segue into this, but it is Sunday. It is
later than usual for a good reason that I know
we'll be talking about shortly. And it is so nice outside.
I know it's hot, I know it's sunny. I know

(00:31):
it's cloudless. The sun is merciless out here, but it
is so beautiful in Arizona this time of the year.
How are we doing?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yees, sir, you know what time it is. I concur
with everything you said. I'm blessed. I'm thankful to be
here with you. I'm also thankful for this week because
not only Brad Winchester are we dropping Gimmick in Fringem.
I mean, obviously, if you're listening to watching, you know
you know what time is. It's Monday. If you're listening,
it's a different day. Whatever, We appreciate you. But also
this week, on Whenday Day, we are gonna be joined

(01:02):
by the great Emily Olero Jones of the Female Driven
Podcast in summer. We love film around here, so you know,
we had to bring Emily back for our annual tradition
to talk this summer in film. So check it out.
Support Emily. She's at Female Driven Podcast. I'm so excited,
a Brad. We had a great conversation with her. We
already we recorded with Emily just before this and now

(01:24):
here we are. But again, that's gonna drop this Wednesday.
Before then on this year episode, you and I have
a lot to debrief wrestling. Professional wrestling was a busy weekend.
Let's see what we.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Made was busy.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
First DNA Against all odds, we're gonna have the return
of a live event Jones segment on this episode. We
are also before that, actually we're gonna get into World's
Collide talk money in the bank, talk. We need to
react to aw fighter Fest for our Wednesday Donald Trump,
President Trump and Elon Musk.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Biggest, biggest and best feud in all right.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Now, the breakup occurred, and there is definitely pro wrestling
parts of it, but from a pop culture political point
of view, we can't not have an episode and not
discuss the fallout of those two. So again we're gonna
get into a lot on this episode. I'm thankful to
be here with you. How is your summer going, Man,

(02:21):
this is one of the first weeks you've had to
unwind and not not going to Google, classroom or Synergy
or putting great is How is summer treating you? Now
that we're in the thick of June.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Good I was at the school for about three hours
the other day. I plan on being there tomorrow for
a giant chunk of my day.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I take back everything I just said the man, do
you see this dedication? I know the people on YouTube,
I know wherever you're listening to us people feel that dedication. Brad,
you are a hero, sir.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I am not, but I am I am. I am
certainly trying my best and my hardest to be the
best person, teacher, colleague, friend that I could be. It's
not always easy. Sometimes sometimes you show up late, Sometimes
you don't know how calendars were. Sometimes you I don't know,

(03:13):
just get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of pressure you
put upon yourself. And I think that's where I am
right now, is I'm trying to I have a lot
of pressure I' putting out myself right now. But that pressure. Ultimately,
the goal is to alleviate it in the future so
that I have a less stressful school year that I
had this year. I mean, this year was this year
was nuts, This year was crazy. Last year I think

(03:36):
maybe the most stressful year in my life in terms
of professional obligation. This year is shaping up to be
even more than that. So we'll see. I'll tell you
in early July, July seventh, to be precise, how I'm
really feeling about how this school year went. When I
get my AP psych scores back, and I'll know if

(03:58):
I made the right decision by letting it kill or not.
Am either going to have buyer's remorse or I'm going
to have vindication I was right and then at time.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
We like vindication. And dare I say before July seventh,
production team, please note that we don't want to forget.
We have your anniversary. Yes, we have Frey's birthday jumping.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Up this week.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
June is load and we're just coming off of your
big birthday, which we discussed on our last episode. So
June and historically is it's a busy time.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I'm sad Jess is not going to be in town.
Jess gets back on Saturday, me and Frey I will
be holding it down at the house. But Jess and
I got married on Friday the thirteenth, and we have
a Friday the thirteenth coming up here, and she won't
be around for it. She'll be out of town doing

(04:45):
her thing and putting in a lot of work and
a lot of I don't know, good vibes into the
universe to help people that need help. And I think
it's it's really cool what she does. I'm bummed that
she won't be here for Friday the thirteenth, but it's
just a day. It's just a day we'll celebrate when
she gets back, It'll it'll be great. But yes, it's

(05:06):
I was trying to do some math here and I
was like, I don't know what you're what is this
seventeen seventeen seventeen, Yeah, seventeen, it's pretty crazy. That also
means that we moved out here a little over eighteen
years ago, or about eighteen years ago. I think it'll

(05:27):
be eighteen years in July that we decided to transition
out to Arizona. Best decision that I think I've ever
made in my life, outside of getting a squatty potty,
which was a joke.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I can't believe it's been twenty years. I love that
for you. You know how much I love that you
two are out here. And even though, like you said, okay,
so she won't be in town for the day itself,
your love extends far, far, wider, far beyond just that day.
And I'm sure sure once she's back in town, once
she takes a break from you know, changing lives for

(06:04):
the better, you'll have a nice dinner. A dinner is
the move, right, We'll get off at the in laws,
and then we're gonna we're gonna grow.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yeah. I got her. I got her a gift. There's
a bunch of gifts like I always try to go like,
even if it's stupid and I know it's going to Goodwill,
I always tried to go traditional on it. Like one
of the anniversary gifts was like ten or steel or something,
I can't remember what it was, like the gift of
this kind of metal, like cheap metal. So I bought her.

(06:34):
I bought our rooster from home Goods, like just this
crappy little metal rooster. And I was like, this is tradition.
Don't don't mock tradition.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
How did you feel about this?

Speaker 2 (06:46):
The way that I expected her to feel is stupid
and it needed to go, but it was. It was
exactly perfect. I also we ought out to dinner and
I gave her another gift and flowers. But I always
try to get her something specific, Like last year, the
traditional gift is paper, and she is a heck of
an artist, so I got her like essentially handmade paper,

(07:07):
like really fancy, very nice, traditionally pressed and made paper
that I found a place that does it, so I
got her that. I always try to go with the
traditional gift because she she likes jewelry. But it's like
if I get her fancy jewelry, like really nice jewelry,
She's like, when am I gonna wear this? Where am
I wearing this? What am I dressing up for that
I'm gonna wear this? She'd rather me go head down

(07:29):
to World Market and scooper up some jewelry. I did
that this Christmas and it was a huge hit. She's like, oh,
I love this. You know what kind of things I like? Yeah,
I'll go the twenty dollars necklace versus the two hundred
dollar necklace, like one of them shows thought and effort,
and so does the other one, and the other one's
just expensive for no reason. And then she can't wear
it with everything, because what am I gonna do with
this sterling silver or one hundred percent silver thing with

(07:53):
a gold the bloom stuck to the end of it?
Like when am I wearing that thing?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Like?

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Oh, look, I got a diamond necklace? Am I gonna
wear that to to the cheesecake factory? Like what are
we doing?

Speaker 1 (08:03):
So red carpet?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, it makes it makes zero sense to do something
like that, even though I know she would love it.
She it would it would end up being hung up
in the closet somewhere in a in a security box,
locked a way. So try to try to do stuff
that's that's a little bit more thoughtful than that. This year's, unfortunately,
is furniture. Absolutely not no. But I did get something

(08:27):
for the wall, so this one has a little bit
more meaning behind it. And I'm not going to say
anymore on the off chance she listens to this on
her flight, so we're gonna keep it there. But I
I just hope I'm always I'm always concerned about gifts, Tyler,
because I don't know if I am ever picking the
right gift ever. Speaking of picking Jesus, the basketball playoffs

Gimmick infringement is rocking with Prize Picks, and you should too.
Prize Picks run your game, Tyler. The Stanley Cup playoffs
have gone into overtimes. There was a double overtime the
other night, and I was thinking about about hockey names

(10:40):
and which which wrestlers would translate as hockey names, and
which hockey names would translate as wrestlers. It's a game
we need to play at some point, and I just
need to give you a list of hockey player names,
like dry Cidle is such a great hockey name. I
also can think that would be a good world name.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Uh that would or even Okay, here's the name. Are
they a hockey player or are they an independent.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Pro wrestler, independent wrestler, Matthew Kachuck hockey player, hockey player,
hockey player far but I didn't say that. No, no, no,
this is good. Some of some of them are easy, though,
like Brabosk Bob. I can never say Proboscis. I'm not
gonna not even gonna try Bob. That's why they call

(11:27):
him Bob.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
That's that's why.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yeah, there's a lot of Russian names and a lot
of like Swedish names and stuff that that pop in there.
Uh Chuck American, so it's and it begins with a T,
so it's uh, it's. It's one of those things. I
think this could be a lot of fun because there's
also like just great names in the sport that I
feel like our listeners and and especially you will have
never heard. Uh And apparently I can't say, but yeah,

(11:53):
you know outside of like Sydney Crosby and you know
Alex Evechkin names.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
That you just heard of course. Yeah, yeah, I saw
the Stanley Cup went into overtime. I forgot. I think
it was Game one it must have.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Been Game one the Whalers one game Panthers got the dub.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah, and they face each other in last year's.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Both of them got better. It's it's crazy, it's crazy, like, yeah,
but a lot of people are pulling for Edmonton right
now because they want U see Canada finally win it.
I don't I don't know. I don't know how I
feel about that, Like, I don't know if I can.
America is going through a lot right now. We could
use the dub, but it's Florida winning it. So at
the same time, it's.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Wow, paiging Warrenshaw shut out shout out nineteen Florida.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Well, I don't know, he's I wonder, I wonder if
he would pull. He's pretty close to both. Do you
think he's pulling for Tampa or do you think he's
because like, is he a Lightning fan or a Panthers fan.
I we know that's he's definitely team neutral and given
his Boston roots that yeah, I'll be a Ruins for Yeah,

(13:02):
it's unfortunately.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Me, but we love Warren here, Okay, Brat. I also
was came. I was confused by it exactly. Yeah, hockey, hockey,
hockey watch. No, No, we can't do hockey watch because
that nearly already exists. It's time to transition to WWE.
Brad Winchester the two most important words here at G
in mcinfringement. Let's hear it. Stea yeah, ub am right,

(13:28):
Steph watch Stephanie Bucker wrestled three times in twenty four hours.
Great week for us to have that sounder. It's it's
really Steph's world and we're just blessed to live in it.
Most notably, she and Lola Ice picked up a tag
win at World's Collide, and just a few hours later,
Bucker showed up and showed out in the Women's Money

(13:50):
in the Bank ladder match. Big shout out to you
for calling the winner correctly. Your prediction was spot on.
Naomi got the briefcase as she should. I don't wait
to see her fingers crossed future title regin. I just
want to know here for Steph watch the eventual vakre
versus Rhea Ripley one on one showdown program. It will

(14:13):
really be a seminal moment in our friendship.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I cannot wait. I cannot wait for that moment. I
saw two things. I saw Vince Russo lamenting how ww
is the worst thing on television now because you're gonna
turn on WWE and all you're gonna get is wrestling.

(14:37):
I thought that was a heck of a thing to
complain about from a wrestling company. Also, that's like the
the last thing I think of when I watch a
WWTV program is I'm going to have a three hour
show with twenty five minutes of wrestling on It not
really a problem that I foresee. That's number one. Number two.
I was listening. I don't know if this is a gimmick.

(14:57):
I don't know if this is just the thing he's doing.
I don't know if been doing this for a long time,
but I finally after a long time. We love us
some Fightful Fightful select especially around here to get our
news and updates. Shout out to Rob, Shout out to Maggie,
shut out to all the people at Fightful doing the
hard work. But I was listening to srs uh this
morning on my way to Goodwill at a terrible time,
and I heard him say Steph's last name, Stephanie, Stephanie, No,

(15:23):
Stephanie Veacker. Oh, I don't know, Tyler, I don't know
if it's a if it's a gimmick. But that was
that was That was some some some gene shorts and
new balanced shoes out by a grill, is what that was.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
It was given Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah, yeah, sure was. Yeah, but it been in like
the most white way I could think of, Yes, like yeah, yeah, yeah,
somebody named Whalen should be saying that.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, yeah, indeed, Well I'll put it to you this way.
La Premierra again, just an amazing weekend for her. I
continue to mar at, but you could just take clips
of me for different episodes saying the same thing. The
reaction that she's getting from crowds everywhere tells you everything
you need to know. I'm excited. I was hoping you

(16:13):
would win the briefcase. She did not, but I'm still
very optimistic that whatever is next for her, starting as
soon as tonight at the PHX Arena for Monday Night Raw,
I hope it's something that's going to be worthwhile and
just reflective of how much momentum she has right now.
I really hope they do right by by steph Okay,
onto my question. Naomi and Seth Rollins won briefcases. Our

(16:35):
truth is back in wwe After all, Mariah May popped
up in NXT Crazy Week and mister Iguana already has
a shirt of a Wee shop. Shout out to La Esca,
Brad Winchester. I need to know, we need to know

(16:56):
who was your biggest winner of the weekend.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Mister Iguana is not even close, Like it's not even close.
Nobody had heard of him, and then it's all anybody
wanted to talk about. Well, m hmm, I'll balance it
out a little bit. I'm gonna say mister Iguana. It's
it's hard not to. I don't want to say Mariah
A because we don't even know what her name is yet.

(17:20):
They haven't said it. She debuted and she said the
glamour is here, but it's not even that. It's it's
about to get more glamorous. But she never said I'm
Mariah May. She never said any of those things. So
I don't even know.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
And because it was giving Ricky Saints when exactly there
was a whole conversation I knew about him popping up,
but then the other half of the conversation was what's
his name going to be? Because he clearly didn't you Mariah.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, but.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Her popping up, I mean that it seemed like ww
we clearly prioritized her free agency and they made that happen,
and they should have fast and they should have.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
But I'm still I am still shocked that she's in NXT,
I really am. I know they want to, they want
her to learn that system, so she'll probably be there
for like six months and out if even that. I
my guess is that it'll be around the rumble, right
like you'll. She'll probably be popping up in the rumble

(18:18):
if she'll be there before that doing something. I know that,
but like her fighting main roster people will probably be
the Royal Rumble. She'll have an NXT championship one here shortly,
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Definitely. Yeah, I fear j C Jane is going toward
transitional champ because I really enjoy her work.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
But the piece she wanted the way, yeah, all of it,
the pieces.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Seem to all fit that. Okay, JC Jane beat Steph
total shocker on NXTT. Yeah, and now Mariah May is
coming in. I don't think to your point, Brad, just
for a cup of coffee and NXT and then she's bouncing.
It seems like if you bring her to NXT, it
is to have that title rain be dominant for a

(19:01):
specific stretch, much like Steph was, And then you know,
I'm sorry, Mariah Will the artist we know now as
Mariah Will drop it to you can name any number
of women in NXT who are ready for that next step.
Top of mind for me is Jada Parker. I think
they're still trying to figure out who Loa Vice is
as a character, but you would think she's probably due

(19:25):
for a title reign at some point. And you have
soul Ruka, who is the current North American CHAMPI but
could easily be next up for the main title down there.
So yeah, to your point, Mariah May is certainly ready
for h or SmackDown. But based on how deep those
rosters are right now after just adding Roxane Perez, Jordan Grace, Julia,

(19:47):
Stephanie Baker, all four women who could challenge for the
main title on their show any day of the week,
I wonder now from Mariah made to your point, I
think Royal Rumble is probably a very fair and and
actorate timeline in terms of we can see her start
to mix it up with the main roster. I don't
forget we also have evolution too. That's what I was
looking at this summer. Yeah, I wonder if we're going
to get some Yeah, I'm sure some uh something there.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Yeah, I'm sure the roster is just kind of loaded
right now, you know, thinking thinking about the women's roster
right now, it's probably those pins. Just just the money
in the bank match itself. Forget about just that match.
Think about who wasn't in it, Like there's that massive

(20:31):
stars that weren't in it, like at all. Bianca wasn't there,
Charlotte wasn't there, Lived was there as an escort. We
got like all this talent that that just wasn't in there.
EO Kyrie Oscar. When she comes back hopefully soon and healthy,
there's there's all these people that just aren't there.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
And blee, there's an a there's an apb out for Bailey.
We know she's alive and doing well and hanging out
with her mom in the bay. Very very frustrating stuff
on screen. It seems like her her stock is is
really dropping right here.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, yeah, it's it's it's it's making me sad. And
there's there's just a ton of people and then you
look at what NXT is doing. And NXT has an
incredible roster too, characters that still need development and things
like that. But yeah, Jordan Gray sitting there, you got
but there's just so many people that are there, but
they're there. Top female talent in terms of character and

(21:27):
in ring all just got called up. So like Roxanne
Perez is there now, Julie is there now, Stephanie Vauquire
is there now. So just those three and then you
have h Lyra who just had a program with Becky
and lost. It's like those were like four giants that

(21:48):
are not there anymore. So you have to restock that.
NXT your roster in Mariam is a great way to
start doing that. I'm sure there's gonna be other people
that that end up landing there. I'm like looking around
just an independent promotions, like all this talent that's around
the country. I was looking at the Arizona Wrestling Federation
event for the twenty eighth. I don't know if Fallen

(22:10):
Gray is going to be on the card because she's
wrestling in like Iowa and California and all these different
places this month, and she is a match out of
state the night before, so I have no idea if
she'll be there, but like Core Well artist formerly known
as core Jada Lena Black will be wrestling there on
the twenty eighth, and so will what's her name Britney

(22:31):
bny Brooks. Britney Brooks thinking women's show, Yeah, and I
was like, that might be worth it just alone, and
the tickets are super cheap. I should should go. We
should go do that. That would be fun. I'm trying
to get people together. There's just so much talent and
then Falling Gray in general, like incredible talent. I feel
like at some point she's getting signed by somebody, be

(22:52):
it GCW, be it, TNA be it, like she's gonna
end up somewhere. She's she's that level of good. And
that's just people that aren't on NXT or got cut
from n XT, which any other roster would be like, yeah,
we'll take that shots. He just had a hardcore match,
like I believe it was GCW correct like it was.

(23:14):
There's there's so many things happening right now. I don't
know where you'd put him Mariah on the main roster. So,
to answer your question from twenty five minutes ago, I
don't think she can be the winner of this weekend.
I also want to pick Our Truth definitely won the
Pop of the weekend, Like that pop was that had
to feel so good, dude, Like not only did fans

(23:36):
yell loudly and talent yell loudly and complain loudly about
this was not a work for people like, oh, you
got worked and it's like, no, he got fired, Like
they didn't release him. His contract expired and they were
just like we're good now, We're sorry, but we're not
going to sign you on. And I understand it. He's
in his fifties, he's been around forever, but he's a
locker room leader. He is a great on screen talent

(23:59):
that you don't have to have go up and do
like a twenty minute classic. Have him go out there
and do some spots, do some goofy do to have
him be Our Truth. And maybe it sounds like they're
gonna change his character direction a little bit because he's
coming out just about Killings.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
I was about to ask you what do you think
of immediately they had this w W had in the drafts.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
I'll take it.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
He's here. Ron Killings is with us bring back Little
Jimmy and and by the way by your forty five
dollars shot.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
I was going to buy that shirt until I said
five five dollars man, and.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
I guess, okay, that's kind of brilliant because it's forty five,
but then you can use your twenty or twenty five
percent off code. But I clicked on that, and I thought,
oh my gosh, so I guess tell him you guys,
okay five for Yeah, you really love this guy, you
really ride for him. Shut out that that forty thirty
five bucks for that team I was.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Going to I saw the shirt, I was like, Yes,
I'm gonna stay in this draft. An I can't justify
a forty five dollars T shirt even with twenty percent off.
That's too much money. Like anything over twenty bucks is
a fight you you.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
And I can you and I continue to I think
we see a lot of things similarly. That's why we
get along so well. But both of us are at
this this these interesting stages of our lives where when
you have all these wrestling teas. This is kind of
going back to your anniversary gift soliloquy from earlier. What

(25:20):
where do you wear these wrestling te's?

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yea too?

Speaker 1 (25:24):
I mean casual fridays at school.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
But I can't. I can't wear the Bullet Club tea
to work.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Correct. And if you and jests are going out for
date night, yeah not that just dictates all of your
clothing decisions.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
It's a movie. Fine, do you.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Feel okay with? Oh? Yeah, we're going to you know,
Michaelangelo's and I'm wearing my well spray goat that that yes,
one hundred percent? Okay, okay, no, no, no, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
I wear my MJF Polo.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Okay, there you go.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
But it's like a nice shirt. Unless you get close,
you can't tell it says I'm better than you. It
just looks like stripes. Yeah, okay, but but but yeah
you can.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
But this Ron Killings one is the airbrush four different.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
It's cool. Yeah, I thought to be a cooler as
a poster.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Where do you wear it to? As opposed to it?
It'd be it'd be cool.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
But also like where am I putting that? It has
to go?

Speaker 1 (26:07):
And it's just too much. Forty five dollars And I
saw for Raw, there for Raw and Phoenix for decent tickets.
I checked last night and crazy, I said, Oh, people
have been talking about how costly these are. But let's
actually see and it took my breath away. I was
a gas bread.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I went six five dollars and this is that was
that was a total. That was the total of our
row of tickets for double or nothing.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
I was like, I was, I was spooked about that.
And the card looks good so far. I mean, obviously
the headlining match is going to be Jay uso versus
going through for the title, possible Seth rollins cash in,
we shall see, you're gonna get Steph popping up. But
I'm sure it's going to be great. I'm sure. I'm
sure those who are going to go are going to
have a great time. It's going to be a fun show.

(26:55):
But yeah, the ticket price is the sure prices. It's
just it's not I don't think it's really give of
the times we're living in and how you know, we
want we want some some good sales and some good deals.
But I'm happy Ron is there and finally wwe recognized
his worth. And I guess if I were Ron Killings.
This is kind of just my question back to you.

(27:17):
I know I'm totally monopolizing your time. How would you
feel about because you and I have been in professional
situations and settings where okay, I maybe don't feel like
my values being recognized. But then the case of Ron Killings,
there's this ground swell of support. They were channing we
want truth in Tempe at t and A against all odds.
They've been channing it at SmackDown nxt raw. How would

(27:39):
you feel if your Ron Killings that the company was
not going to resign you, then they come back to
you paging Ni Khan, He gives you a call and says, hey,
you know what, we want to bring you back. I
I I would feel a way about that, but I
don't know. Money talks, and if if Ron Killings is
happy there, I'm glad that they I'm glad that he's

(28:00):
in a position now where he maybe has more leverage
than he did a few weeks ago when they were
just not going to renew. And you know, we probably
saw his last appearance when he lost to John Cena
Sara Kate's main event. But to your point, he pops
up at Money in the Bank and we end the
night may be on a more positive note as a
fan based than if he had no appearance in that match.

(28:22):
Although I'll give Logan Paul credit once and only on
this podcast that Moon Salt was nuts. That was that
was pay per view. He's worthy, he's so it was crazy.
I was like, oh man, I've seen that in two
K but nowhere else.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah, he's he's unbelievable as a talent, Like it's it's
kind of hard to deny it at this point. And
he's getting unreal heat because it's real, which is a
funny sentence for sure. I just the Ron stuff, the
wrong killing stuff. I'm calling him Ron like he and
I are bros.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I'm not used to calling him Ron. I'm like, did
I say like our truth wrong, mister killer? I think
I think.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I don't remember who said it. It was either Wrestling
Observer or Fightful. Probably Fightful said that the deal came
together as it seems like it was a compromise between
the two parties, so it within seventy two hours of
the event. But I don't know. I wonder what the
compromise was. My guess is that it's a shorter term deal,

(29:29):
that it's sort of like, well, I want a character
direction change, and maybe this is his way of going, like, well,
this is how I want to I want to go
out and retire, and I'm not sure. I don't know
where he feels like he is physically, like he he
had knee surgery not that long ago, and he's in
his fifties and he's been wrestling his first his first

(29:51):
episode of Raw was like he came out and wrapped
or something in like two thousand and two. He was
an Attitude era guy before going to the Indies, coming
to WWW doing TNA, like he was all over the place.
He's been grinding forever, but like he was in the
Attitude era before. I just ruthless aggression hadn't happened yet.

(30:15):
Run Killings was still there and then it happened. So
I just think that's wild to me. And he's still
going and he's been able to evolve and adapt and
change and grow. I love his comedy. Wrestling when it
works is is unbelievable. But like having him do surprise

(30:36):
run ins like running into the Women's Rumble or all
the stuff that he did with judgment A. Like one
of my favorite moments, Tyler, this is when the ww
network was still the ww network in the United States.
It's gone now sadly to ww bcock and I hate

(30:56):
it there, and I need the network back. Cock sucks
as a platform. Not being able to find a raw
that I want to watch is or go to the
matches like he used to be able to with the network.
Got it was so nice. And no, I don't want
to set up a VPN just to watch the network stuff.
He uh, I don't know. He had that game show.

(31:21):
Do you remember the game show?

Speaker 1 (31:23):
No?

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Oh my god, ron our Truth had a game show
during COVID that was on the network that was like
a fifteen to twenty minute thing and he would just
ask questions and it was unbelievable because I don't know
if it was just like him really playing up being
stupid where if he really didn't know Candada was a country,

(31:45):
like I have no idea, but it's it's incredible. I
want to go find I gotta go find this. I do.
He's walking with Drew McIntyre through his house looking at stuff,
asking about his cat, like dude, it was insane.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
It was an all. I have no recollection of this whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yeah, so maybe it's a fever dream. Maybe I had COVID,
But he's been doing stuff with them and for them
for forever, and I know the miss is doing like
a golf channel thing now on their YouTube or wherever
he's doing it. He's doing some golf thing through WWB
because people were wondering about his contract status because he

(32:22):
hasn't followed people. He's like, I haven't done anything on
there in like four years. Like everything's the same. You're
reading into it, and that's crazy. So I can't possibly
see how they don't see value in Our Truth and
what he brings to do something like that with Our Truth,
with Ron Killings, where he would be maximum level of

(32:43):
entertaining doing something simply like a game show.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yeah, well said in terms of comedy wrestling, you know,
Our Truth in many ways kind of ostensibly closed out
the weekend or the day of wrestling for WWE on
Saturday night, but the day really started it obviously with
Worlds Collide and that that six man that trios match,
which featured as you pointed out a few minutes ago,

(33:08):
mister Iguana, speaking of comedy acts, I had Brad when
I tell you never seen, never heard this guy before.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
That's why I think he wins.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
But yeah, by the end of the weekend, he is
a very compelling case for Biggest Winner because I had
googled him, I had, you know, clicked on the try
to and buy the shirt again. Where am I going to?
Yeah yeah, and where am I gonna wear it? But
the just in the match, the infusion of La yesca,
the you know puppet, the ham puppet, Iguana puppet, and

(33:39):
how the puppet took a Spanish.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Spanish lie from Liz Dorado and it just like our
pillows growing up did.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Yeah yeah, this is my final thought to me. It
reminded me of the great times I've had with you
speaking about watching Orange Cassidy matches and how when we
have someone in our lives, usually a coworker, who we
can trick into watching wrestling, at least for a few minutes.
Typically my go to is, Okay, someone doesn't watch wrestling,

(34:11):
but let me send them this clip. Yes, because I
know they're gonna laugh. I know they're going to have
time with it. I think about you and I being
at school and showing colleagues, you know, ARGs Cassidy versus
back at Revolution from years ago. My next attempt will
be likely showing them mister I Guana because it was
just it was so entertaining, which is what wrestling should
be and there were so many There were so many

(34:33):
good matches this week, and I thought World's Collide was
refreshing because we didn't have sponsors filling up the ring,
or at least on my YouTube experience, not Peacock for
World's Collide, you know, not being thrown advertisements every few
minutes in rapid secession. So overall, World's Collide was a
big winner for me over the weekend. And to your point,

(34:55):
mister Iguana is definitely at the top of that list.
But of course Stephanu, of course are truth Naomi. A
lot of people had have big weekends and are probably
gonna have you know, huge Q three's here.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Naomi, that one, that one makes me nervous. I know,
Triple H. Paula Back more specifically, isn't a big fan
of the money in the bank briefcase. So I'm hoping
that Naomi isn't like a first women's cash and loss.
I hope they don't do we'd like that. But I
think it's really cool that she got put in the spot.
She's gonna have this briefcase. I kind of hope she

(35:30):
holds on to it for a while and really like
builds to a cash in rather than just some random
run in. I don't like those at all unless there's
already a story built around it, because in the cash
and feels a little bit more hollow. They really need
to build us wanting her to either not win it
or wanting us to get to a point where we

(35:51):
need to see her win it. Either one right now.
I think it was super cool. The crowd sounded kind
of flat on TV when she won it, like they
were like, oh, that's cool. I was pissed. I was
yelling in my living room and just like what's wrong,
and it's like, nothing's wrong. This is amazing. She finally
she finally got put in the spot. Was it was

(36:11):
the best moment.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Can we agree the women's money in the bank greater
than sign men's money in the bank? Women's was so
I'm glad we saw Jacob Fattu anytime we could see
him on our screens. It's a it's a dub, But
that whole it just lasted so long. And I know
wrestling is the suspension of you know, it's disbelief to

(36:33):
the max. It's you know, just kind of ingratiating yourself
within it. But that whole brom Breaker Bronson Reid and
then insert Jacob Fatu and JC Matteo. It seemed like
it lasted for at least twelve to thirteen minutes. And
WWE two K rules have dictated to me, no if
your health bar loads, and then you know, give it

(36:56):
a few minutes and you're back up and you can
re enter the MAC. It was just so prolonged and
the fact that we got that pump fake of oh,
Set is climbing after all the rubble, He's clearly gonna,
you know, get the briefcase. Now that Jacob finally turned
on solo, then they give us the pump fake of
La Night coming in. I almost hit you up, Brad.
I was gonna hit you up and text you, oh,

(37:17):
La Knight, it's time. It's in La it makes sense,
let's go. And then no, it was just a pump
fake for Set to just get him back down and
then Seth ends up winning. So I thought the layout
of the men's match for me left a lot to
be desired. The right guy won, but I thought the
layout was quite curious. Whereas the women's money in the bank,

(37:38):
I would not say it was the greatest women's money
in the bank. Ladder match we've seen, but what a
great call to have Naomi win. I don't know if
I'm emotionally prepared for an unsuccessful Naomi cash in. So
I'm gonna proceed with cautious optimism because she needs to

(37:58):
be a champion. She agreed, this is the this is
the best character working from her in a minute. I
was not sure how the heel Naomi would work. It's
been amazing. I'm ridiculous. I'm a fool. It's been fantastic.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
I gotta okay. So the there was some Yeah, there
was some certainly some spots in the in the women's
match that not not spot like wrestling spots, but like, okay,
we're waiting a long time because you're clearly preparing for
this thing to happen. Roxanne was on that ladder for
an eternity to do the stereo. Yeah, it was. It

(38:33):
was just like, all right, we're just gonna come up
here and punch each other repeatedly for what seemed like
four minutes without moving, so we could obviously see people
get set up to get on the ladders. I didn't
love that. I don't think the right guy won. In
the men's match, Seth is the obvious guy to win.
What do you do with l A Night now that
what's the path for him to get back to where
he was? You've you've completely killed all of his momentum.

(38:56):
You had him lose repeatedly, Like he's won the US title,
but he's lost a whole bunch. He loses every big
match that he's in for, like an either a title
shot or a title match, he always loses. So what
do you do with la Night to build him back
up to get the audience back, because like he's super
over still, but he's nowhere near where he was.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
And this was in La. It just occurred to me
during his entries. I was like, Oh, I didn't think
about this. Of course he's going to be the guy
to win. It's in La. He's still over, maybe not
as over as he was to your point.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Yeah, because on the RS stuff he was doing like
the firefighter relief things. I don't know if you saw that,
but like he was, Yeah, he was there with some
kids and totally because it was La. And yes, it
just makes so much sense to have it be in La.
But I I just I'm afraid that it's not going
to happen for him. He's not getting younger.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Was he forty two, forty three?

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Yeah, at least I know he's in his forties, which
you know in modern wrestling, that's not a big deal.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
But he's been healthy.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah, and and uh, I just if he's if he's
ever going to win title, it needs to be soon.
And I think he's at a point now where he
needs to go take some time off and maybe people
want him to come back and give us that big
return moment where somebody, some dastardly heel keeps winning. Maybe
it's seth, maybe he keeps winning. Maybe the faction beats

(40:17):
him down this week, and he comes back in two months,
make us really wait for it, give us a pl
give us another PLI, and then have him come back
at the end of that. Maybe he comes back at
the end of Summer Slam or something like. Have it
be then, and then just have the crowd go crazy,
because you know at that point it's going to be like,
all right, we got this fresh babyface, people love him,

(40:38):
this is going to rule. This is his moment, and
then build to that moment. I just that's the only
way I could see it working, because if you keep
him around and he keeps eating pins or doing nothing
like feeding with somebody that in a feud that doesn't
matter or whatever. It's eventually you're not going to care.
And then people are gonna stop doing the La night
stuff because they're not after the entrance, nobody will care.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
Yeah, we like Winders are a society where a country
based on winning. We like to see people people we
like be successful. And to your point, he's lost a
lot of the big matches and I don't want him
to fade into obscurity. And I don't just be a definer.
I do not think Ela and I is the one

(41:19):
to dethrone see either.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
And they're not going to have him go after J right,
it's not going to happen.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah, and maybe there's a case, Okay, if your idea
comes true two months off comes back, is there a
case for repackaging him, let's say as a heel.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Yeah, as long as he stays this character and just
is it a heel because he already is. He's kind
of a heel.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Yeah, inherently it's the presentation, like.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
The Rock is a heel, but he got over with
the crowd. Nobody cares, Right, it's kind of.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
It's kind of my thoughts about Anthony Bowen's and aw
you granted the five twol players different than the megastar,
but okay, their baby faces, but the presentation, particularly for Bowens,
which I think is why he is close to fading
into obscurity on the card. But for l A. Knight, Yeah,
and I wonder if your we does the math and
kind of does the calculus of Oh but L. A.

(42:16):
Knight's one of our top merch goers. The kids love him,
the you know, does that factor does that factor into Okay,
people will still buy heel, but LLE Knight's probably one
of the biggest correctly if I'm wrong, Yeah, all accounts
we saw last year, maybe even still one of the
biggest most consistent merch sellers behind Cody Punk et cetera.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
That kind it does. But like Donovan dan Housen, dan
Housen is still one of the top sellers. And A
W hasn't been any WTV for we haven't seen that
man a year age he was on ro oh but
that was it one off, right and then yeah, yeah,
that's curio.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
That's curious.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
I'm looking right now at L. A.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Knight.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
Randy Wrton, Damian Priest are all up. I don't know.
I just google a eyes failing me here my question
for you you kind of already answered it, but let's
let's let's get you what our truth is back because
our ron killings. I love it. It was my favorite
part of the weekend. So the easy question here, what
are your thoughts about how this played out, how Triple

(43:20):
H discussed it at the presser and what they could
have done differently.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Yeah, I'm gonna say this with my chest. Our truth
was my biggest winner of the weekend because he went
from literally literally easy for me to say, being unemployed
here in a few weeks potentially even though we know
he was going to be a HA commodity across the
Indies and whatever, but he was going to be from
being he was going to go from being unemployed to
now he is contracted. So that that's a huge one.
He's my choice, ah Man. Triple H admittedly a man

(43:48):
of many talents. I don't know that the post event
media scrum is an area where he He's.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
Made some blunders during those things we've I.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Was talking with my dad about the shoutout pops. It
just seems like it's such a repeated outcome that maybe
he should pivot a bit. The response saying, oh what
triple didn't say? It wasn't work, but he heavily implied, Hey,
did you write that the journalist the reporter asked about
Ron Killing's contract and what was going on there, and

(44:22):
exactly what you said, Brad Paulovek, Triple H said, did
you did you enjoy did you enjoy it as a
part of the show. So, and then there's been subsequent
responses on social media from Ron Killings, from even Ron
Killing's son basically saying what Triple H said was cap
it was not true. Yeah, So that leaves a lot
to be desired. I think there's something to be said

(44:45):
for honesty, particularly in that environment when the whole idea
of the media scrum is yees. Some of it's in character,
but ideally a lot of it is you can continue
to blur the lines and even maybe be more truthful
than you would on the actual program. I thought it
would have been a better play, for sure for him
to take the non it's a part of the show,

(45:06):
just enjoy pal vibe. But in terms of how it
all went down, man like I said, I'm just happy
that the fans' voices were heard. To me, it's giving
some of that Daniel Brian Kofi Kingston, Okay, when the voice,
when fans voices a ligne, it becomes undeniable that this
is what we need to lean into. So I'm just

(45:26):
happy for Ron Killings. I'm happy for how many fans
were just repping for this dude and really seem to
move the needle in his favor, because, like you said,
that was one of the best, if not the best.
It was your favorite moment of the weekend for him
to pop up and cost John scene of that match.
But the aftermath, why create an unforced error? And why

(45:49):
have people troll you online when you could have just
perhaps been a been a bit more forth right. But
you and I are online pretty often, Brad. There's a
huge portion of the universe that doesn't care about this
stuff at all. So I also recognize. I mean, I
think we continue to exist in this IWC bubble where
we care about it because it's a conversation online. But

(46:11):
I don't know that that's going to stop people. Triple
H's media scrum is going to stop people from paying
anywhere of one hundred to six hundred dollars to attend
raw in downtown Phoenix tomorrow. I think people just want
to see folks they like on screen. We're getting that
with Ron Killings, and you know, we'll see, we'll see

(46:32):
what this pivot is going to be with his character.
I'm just happy for him Media Scrumby damned. I'm happy
that he's going to continue with this company. And I
just can't believe we're here. Man, it seemed like you
and I were already forecasting, always going to pop up
an ache. What would he look like in TNA? Is
he going to come to Bullshooters? Maybe maybe we'll see

(46:52):
him at at what the AWF Arizona Wrestling Federation All
American Grand Slam. I've been Oh nope. Psych Triple It
says it was a work where worked, where a bunch
of marks. And I'm just happy that he's employed. I'm
happy that he got his flowers here and far like
you said earlier, that must feel so good to see

(47:14):
those messages. Hear those messages and then hear the rar
rar of the crowd unglued for him.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Totally gotta be so good like his when he shows
up on Monday that place is gonna be thunderous. You're
gonna hear it in Glendale. It's it's going to erupt
into the sky. The five hundred dollars seats are going
to pop off like it's going to be It's going
to be crazy. So I feel really good for him
for him to go out, Like when, when, if ever,

(47:42):
has he gotten a pop like that that hasn't been laughter?
You know what I mean? Like, I'm sure there's been
a laugh pop, but that's it, you know, like, oh hahaha.
He came out and got killed by by NYA Jacks
because he ran out for the women's rumble or something,
you know what. Tyler embraced the mess and speaking of

(48:03):
messas we got we got quite a big one to
talk about. Play the music for what happened here? We
got to talk Trump and elon.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
What happened here? Where to start with this, Brad, I
have exactly this is really pulling back the garden. I
have exactly zero notes on this story. I am just
going off of memory and emotions. Same last week, along

(48:40):
with we want Truth being a hot topic on social media,
the other hot topic was the breakup of Elon Musk
and President Donald Trump. Tweets were exchanged, shade was thrown,
contracts are being threatened to be to be removed. In
the case of the Trump's, Elon is claiming that Trump

(49:02):
is on the Epstein files and that's why they haven't
been released. Brad, these two were a powerhouse tag team
last year. HBK Janetti here full full HBK Jeddi. Money
was exchanged, elections were were influenced, and uh these two

(49:24):
work together in the White House. Elon was running douge
and and Trump now has this big, beautiful bill. We're
not a political podcast, but I think what's so fascinating
here is much like in professional wrestling. We know, with
any tag team except maybe no the New Day because
they booted out Biggie, with any tag team, it's pretty
inevitable that the breakup is going to happen. It's a

(49:47):
matter of when, not if in most cases. So my
question to you, my tag partner, what do you make what? Yeah?
I would I would do that over again if I could.
My question to you, what do you make of the
breakup of Elon Musk and Donald Troup? Maybe not shocking,

(50:09):
but were you prepared for it to happen? This summer
so quickly, so epically.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
I thought it would happen sooner. I thought it was
going to be a lot sooner when he did not
get appointed to the cabinet but got like special task
force thing, And really it was like the moment that
Elon showed up with a all black Mega hat. I went,
he's trying to brand Mega for himself.

Speaker 1 (50:35):
The Chase variant hat.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
Yes, I was like, what are we what are we
doing here? Like we're gonna We're gonna do the Noirva variant,
like the all black and white color scheme, special director's
cut hat, and and uh he is. It's it's two people.
One of them is is a narcissist of epic proportions.
The other one is so full of ketamine and mental

(51:00):
health issues that I don't think he has any sort
of ability to have empathy or to perceive the world
from It doesn't feel like narcissism. It feels like something else,
like I don't know if he has the ability to
do that. Where our president is it's all about me.
I do everything. I'm the best, I'm the greatest. With

(51:23):
no evidence to show that he is any of those things,
He's bankrupted multiple companies. So for the Big Beautiful Bill
to be one of the biggest spending bills in the
history of ever, which will further bankrupt the United States,
it's pretty easy to look at it and go like, yeah,
we kind of knew this was coming, Like they've been
SAE for eight years, for ten years, whatever it's been that, Yeah,

(51:47):
this is uh. This guy fails at every turn with
everything that he does, but we love him why. I
don't know, I don't know why you want him there.
And then you get a billionaire, actual successful billionaire, who
who has monetized and built a company, and granted some
of them have failed, some of them are failing in
the States, but not across the seas necessarily, like Tesla's

(52:10):
doing okay overseas right now versus how it's doing in
the US. And there's a lot of stuff that Elon
says that I actually agree vehemently about, like we need
to move to all electric, we need to get away
from fossil fuels, we need to do all of these things.
We just do It's not hard to figure out, like
it's time and we need to and if we could

(52:32):
do that, we'd become competitive. If we are on the forefront. Instead,
we're all stalling out. And I think the second that
anything got threatened there with money, it all blew up.
And now it's well he said, and well he said,
And it's like just this epic pissing contest. Tyler. You
know me well enough to know that I've said this

(52:53):
thousand times. I've said it on here. I don't have
a master plan. I just like the chaos. I like
throwing a grenade into the room, watching it blow up
all around me. This is pure that, it is pure
undi eluded chaos. It is terrible that it's happening to
our country, but it is so effing funny that I'm

(53:15):
just watching It's it's the perfect lean back on the
couch with the popcorn meme. And just why are the
dude flipping out the lawn chair like this is?

Speaker 1 (53:24):
This?

Speaker 2 (53:24):
Is it? Because Elon suggesting a third or another party,
that's like, actually, this other thing might like rekindle an
actual conservative party instead of this like wacko alt fringey stuff,
which would be good for everybody. And the Democratic Party

(53:46):
or what remains of that hot mess also right now
must be looking at it going like this is the
best thing that could have happened to you. So what
I make of it is we're all losing in this.
This isn't good for anybody politically. It's good for the left,
it's not good for the right at all. This is

(54:06):
poison for that party and it's going to cause them
long term problems because they built up this hero and
Elon and he has the platform, he has most of
the platforms. He has literal space on his platform and
space space, and he has all these different things going on,
and he has a very loud voice that people listen to,

(54:30):
and that's partially because the party helped build that voice,
and now it's completely fractured. So it's gonna be really
interesting to see what happens there. But nobody's gonna win
from this. It's not gonna help The Democrats are gonna
be like yay the next election, which doesn't help us. Now,
that doesn't help us in any way. We got three
more years before that's even a thing. And I don't

(54:53):
know about you, but that's a long time for a
household to think of economically. So what happened. A glorious,
hilarious carenade went off in the room, and I'm just
here for the infighting, the name calling, because like, it's
preposterous that this is happening. We are now the laughing
stock of the world politically and have been for the
last couple of years. And to see it now just

(55:16):
all blow up in people's faces the way that it
was predicted to blow up in their faces. Right, I'm
kind of here for that, for the I told you sos.
But I'm only here for it because it's all we have.
We only have I told you sos. As prices continue
to climb well.

Speaker 1 (55:31):
And last week we briefly spoke about the original Sin
Book by Jake Tapper and his co writer really excoriating
President Joe Biden in the administration or so for the
failure that was his reelection campaign. So maybe we are
giving a fris A political podcast. I don't know what
we'll see, but to your point, Okay, now, the Democratic

(55:52):
Party reports where that they had this idea of thon
at a swanky resort recently to really start brainstorming. Okay,
what is the plan for the next election. It's like, dog,
this is this is the issue? Hey, hey, that you
can't get an idea thon b it's at a swankie resort,
and you were just like, this is this is giving
the economy, this is giving. No, you are seemingly really

(56:15):
out of touch with sort of the everyday American, the
priorities and just the everyday living experience. And then you
have Elon Musk, maybe on this baby face turn because
everything is wrestling question mark, for sure, it's great.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
At the very least.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
Elon Musk is as unpopular right now as he's been,
I believe since since he's been such a public figure.
So for him, seemingly there's nowhere to go but up.
Because obviously Democrats are haven't been a big fan of
his over the last five years. I think a lot

(56:51):
of Republicans are not a fan of his right now
for the reasons you laid out. So I wonder what
his next move is going to be in particularly as
as you've said, as testleass has been just in a
downward spiral, particularly in the United States. I wonder that
next move for him. I've seen fan art of oh
Elon must versus Donald Trump at SummerSlam. You know, I

(57:14):
met life at New Yours, which of course is ridiculous.
But there's a lot of people in this story where
their next move is something I'm keeping an eye. And
of course the president, we know he's here. He's got
four years for Elon, for the Democratic Party for like
you said, the potential of a third party, Will that
ever exist in this country? A viable third option? Who knows.

(57:35):
But there's a lot to keep track of moving forward,
and I think inherently baked into all this, there are
a lot of pro wrestling elements to this breakup, and
I don't know that there's going to be a reunion
in the works. It seems like both have crossed the
line that they're not going to be able to get
back from. But as you pointed out, it's actually kind

(57:55):
of surprising that it took this long for them to
turn on each other in such a public fashion.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
It's amazing, Like there was a big sell off and
the lead engineer at at Tesla left and Stock went back.
I don't know, like I I'm just this is funny.
It's all I know is this is hilarious. It's so
pro wrestling is momos on each other.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
We're watching two billionaires fight each other. Yeah, it's it's who's.

Speaker 2 (58:23):
Getting their head shaped?

Speaker 1 (58:25):
Yeah, exactly, it's it's it's funny, it's predictable. Uh. I
just want people to have healthcare. I want to be
able to do well and provide people I care about.
I want to see you do well and have the
same opportunities. So I think heading into this week, it's okay,
let's continue to get these jokes off and monitor, and
then also hopefully it's not let these two be a
distraction to take us away from the priorities and the

(58:49):
health of the country and the you know, the everyday
Americans that you know, our elected officials claim to so
deeply care about and are empowered to to serve.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
Yeah, and let's stop cutting disability services. That would be
great too. On that note, there's no transition. We could
probably spend the next hour talking about how we feel
about these things, but mostly I'm just here for the
funny shots at each other.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
We need it.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
We are it's pure comedy.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
We have. It's a distraction and we need it.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Yes, it's the It's the like one of them revealed
a little bit of a secret and then somebody else
is like, well, speaking of and then they're just gonna
start letting everything out.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
It's so grown men. It's just and Clearly both of
them operate their own social media accounts. This isn't the
case of they have a team a communications stem like.
Clearly we know that they're using their Twitter fingers.

Speaker 2 (59:45):
And their true social fingers exactly. I will not be
joining you.

Speaker 1 (59:50):
And I have spent a good portion of our lives
working with young people ages thirteen to eighteen. It's amazing
that they, in any cases have more maturity and more
self control then two men who are breaking up for

(01:00:10):
the whole world to see online?

Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
What what? What our society would deem as successful men too?
It's just yeah that if that's what success is, I
don't want it. Uh, Tyler, let's get into aw We've
only been going for what an hour? So yeah, let's
let's get another hour in.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Okay, Speaking of two men and potential breakups, this is
what we call it tradition in the business. Brad, I
actually think, I actually think this one's gonna work for real.
I'm not being facetious at all. A W a W
Summer Blockbuster is on Wednesday. Yes, it's the second consecutive
four our TV spectacular now Swerve Strickland versus will Ospray

(01:00:51):
two headlines this show they were enemies than friends and
now seemilarly back to enemies. Question, what are your thoughts
on the current storyline involving these two and they're vastly
different positions on whether to support Hangman Page against the
death Riders and how do you predict this will play
out at all in Texas next month? Do you see

(01:01:13):
them challenging the Hurt Syndicate? Did you see them helping
Hangman to be thrown mocks? Do you see both talk
to us?

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
I don't know what's best I got.

Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
This is a great episode. Thank you all for tuning in.
We will see you next week.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
I think, I think, I think the few. I think
this different direction. I really like it, like there's history
between all three of these guys. Will not coming down
on top more often than not, so I'd like to
see Will get a win here. He's he's lost to
both of them, correct.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
He has. That's part of the charm of will Osprey
for me is by all accounts, he is so okay
with losing to Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
He even protons it for the Owen.

Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
Yeah. But they were both advocating for the other, which
is great. And the reports where I forbid Indoor last
year will Osprey advocated for Swerve to beat him. Yeah,
but also like, man, well that's great. It's kind of
the greatest wrestler in the world. Yeah, he should be.
I don't may maybe there's a case where he gets
the win back this week at Summer Blockbuster and then

(01:02:22):
we get Swerve Osprey three. Yeah at all in Texas?
Is that something you'd be interested in? Maybe?

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
I mean it'd probably be great, but this would have
to be like a time limit draw thing, I think,
and then have him go like, no, we need to
know you beat me already. We just had a draw.

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
If I rescue you again, I can beat you and
then okay, then we can be in. But I don't
think they're waiting that long. I think it'll happen before
then on some RANDO show that I'm probably blanking on
that there's probably something coming in. I uh, man, I
don't know. The only thing I can think of is like,

(01:03:03):
you get Hangman in there for some reason for this match,
and then the death Rids come in and beat the
ever living crap out of Hangman in front of Swerve
or Swerve in front of Hangman, or beat both them
up and leave the lane. So they have no choice
but to partner up, and then it'll be like, finally,

(01:03:28):
for this one night, for this one time, I'll help you,
but you should know that this is it I'm doing
this for Will they do it. They both do it
for Will, not for each other, and then they go
out there and figure it out. I think it could
be really cool.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Yeah, yeah, these guys are okay, so aw, We've spoken
about this. They are four main babyfaces, all distinctly different.
We root for them regardless. Hangman, page, can you Omega?
And then you have Swerve in Osprey. I don't think
they can do wrong with this storyline. I'm so glad
it's happening. It doesn't even need a title involved right now,

(01:04:09):
which is fantastic clue they're invested in these two, you know,
as a company. I what's throwing me for a loop
is the face off between Osprey and Lashly that we
saw last week. I based on how that went, I
don't think that was just there just because so I'm
wondering if there's a case where those are the two

(01:04:31):
guys to dethrone the Hurt Syndicate, And to me, that
would have to be an all in Texas match, but
I Brad, it's it's tough. I think they're going to
team together at all in Texas, whether that be against
the Bucks or the Hurt Syndicate. I could see that
opening the show, and then my prediction is they'll come
back by the end of the show to help including Swerve,

(01:04:53):
maybe a reluctant swerve, but they will help Hangman Page
finally dethrone John Moxley and start a new a new title. Ry.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
Who do you think helps him out? You think it's
Speedball and Willow?

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
Yeah, yeah, it has to be Willow for sure. I
could see Speedball as well. Definitely, maybe Eddie Kingston comes.

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
Oh, that would rule. I.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
I always want us to be in the.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Or even or even Wardlow if he's done, if he's
done filming his project.

Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
You saw that too, that'd be great.

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
Yeah, made me feel really good that he's not just
like disgruntled then at home that he was healing up.
My gosh, yeah, and then signed on for a project.
They were like, yeah, it doesn't make sense to have
you come back to do something for a week and
then have to leave again exactly. That made me feel
so much better because because you know how we talked
about it a ton how much we love Wardlow.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Yeah, we thought we would have been CHAMPI now.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Yeah, and he probably would have been had he not
gotten injured. So I'm hoping for big things for him
when he comes back. Wow, I'm stammering here, Fighter fest Siler,
it's over. Tekla has debuted. Boy, if they say Spider
or Toxic Spider again, I'm going to go through the
screen and punch them on commentary. My god, we get it.
The Spider. It's toxic Spider. Yeah, Spider Spider is here.

(01:06:03):
It's like, oh my god, they're really trying hard to
put her over on commentary and I was like, just
you don't have to work that hard, Tony, Like we
got ice.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
We got several reminders.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
It made me. It made me mad that on a
four hour show they couldn't give Lady Frost a proper
entrance on TV.

Speaker 1 (01:06:19):
Oh, it was absurd. Yeah. The lack of women's wrestling
that yes, women's matches on yeah, four hours, just under
fifteen minutes total time, absolutely unacceptable. Yeah, unacceptable.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
So that was one of the things that it took
away from it. So what are your thoughts about these
four hour TV events that inevitably prevent overlap with WWE
huge weekends, a UFC Fight Whatever, hockey and basketball playoffs.
I'm sure is why the move happened. What do you
think about them to over avoid the overlap or to

(01:06:52):
avoid the overlap on collision days.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
It's not great for me in terms of Summer Blockbusters
this week, in terms of the afform mention Fighter Fest,
I did not watch it all in one sitting. It
just it's it's.

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
Had it on.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
Yeah, it's it's too much. And if you are going
to have these four hour events, and maybe there is
business credence for the reasons you laid out, Brad, you
have to build these events to be must see. I
might not be able to sit down for four hours
on a Wednesday night to watch it all, but make
it as close to appointment viewing for me as possible.

(01:07:29):
I think they've they've shown some improvements TK and Company
for Summer Blockbuster, because we know we're getting Swer versus Osprey,
we know we're getting Time Ellow's return match with j Yeah.
I believe Queen Ami Nada also has a match against
the Toxic Spider. I don't know if youve heard they
call her the toxic Spider Techlo.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
That's gonna be incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
So you've already given me three matches that I must
see on Wednesday coming into fighter Fest. Yeah, there were
matches announced, but I'm more excited for these three matches
then probably about anything that was announced for fight er
Fest before ours. Is just a long time, whether it's
in the arena, whether it's at home, So I'm probably

(01:08:11):
gonna have to chunk it up again where I will
maybe watch half of it and then get to the
other half on the weekend. So I don't love it.
But to your point, when they're thinking about, Okay, there's hockey,
there's basketball, there's a massive ww WEE weekend, and we
know WWE's in the business of promoting against AAW and

(01:08:31):
competing against their events. I get it from aw's perspective,
but from my own viewing habits, it was just too
long and I have to I know I'm not going
to get through it in one viewing. I have to.
There's probably going to be a forty eight to seventy
two hour buffer from when I start this thing to
when I complete it. But by that time, there's spoilers online,

(01:08:52):
there's podcasts, I'm like, oh, well, that kind of ruins
the live experience for me because at this point, storylines
have been advanced by the time I get to this
on Saturday, and I'm not as invested as I would
have been been able to.

Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Watch unless somebody's like, you have to go out of
your way to watch this match, but then you're watching
the match and not.

Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Yeah, and let's keep it a buck, right, let's keep
it at young Bucks. At this stage in my life,
by the time the clock hits eight fifteen, eight thirty
in the evening, it's very possible I'm dozing off or
I'm starting the night routes. Sure, I'm losting, I'm cleansing.
So it's just my sweet spot was Dynamite from five
to seven or Collision from five to seven. When we

(01:09:29):
get into the eight fifteen eight thirty territory, I'm just saying,
it's not a guarantee that I'll be readily available even
during summer. That's just where I'm at at this point
in my life. Feel free to.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Judge, you know, I understand completely. Although I've been staying
up till god awful times and then trying to get
up in the morning. I haven't been able to now.
Part of my problem was from a streaming perspective because
I watch it on Max. It's not Fighter Fast on Max,
it's it's dynamite and it's co So when the dynamite,

(01:10:02):
like when it was done, it was just done, it
shut off my feed. I had to go quickly find
collision to keep watching the show. I was pissed because
I was like, where the hell is this thing? So
I was scrambling to try to figure it out instead
of just having Fighter Fest is a streaming thing, so
it's not fighter You're branding it as aw Fighter Fest,
but what you mean is collision and dynamite are happening
at the same time. Say that. Don't call it some

(01:10:25):
jerk off name because you're like, I, we're gonna really
get into this cool branded name thing. You'll never find
that when you look it up, but it's gonna be
really cool branded. We got Summer Blockbuster. Don't look up
Summer Blockbuster that's coming up next week. It's not coming
up next week. It's dynamite and collision, but it's gonna
be Summer block Oh my god, help me out, man, like,
help me out. So it's just really annoying that it's

(01:10:47):
like from a streaming experience, frustrating to try to figure out,
like where to go. I think about people that you know, like,
I'm not an idiot. It wasn't that difficult for me
to figure out when my stream ended what was happening.
And I think Shavani threw in there like the Dynamite
hours over and next this Collision or whoever said it

(01:11:08):
on the thing. I was like, damn it. Okay, we
went black and I was like, this event has ended.
So I had to quickly get out of there with
my Roku remote in the bedroom and I got onto
Collision pretty quickly because it was on the live spot.
But it was just very confusing, and I'm like, okay,
my parents wanted to watch this, they got no shot,

(01:11:29):
no shot if they want. If I wanted to DVR this,
I don't think it's dvring because it's unless you have
Collision and Dynamite set to both record, you're missing half
a bit so and Collision might not record if it's
that time slot that's recording rather than the show itself.

Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
So it shouldn't be a chore. It shouldn't be a chore.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
It should be easy to figure out. It should be
easy to figure out.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
But and with fire, along with the lack of women's
in ring time, there was just so much. It was
clear to me, this is a four hour show and
they're trying to fill time. I remember when we had
to hurt Syndicate and MJF in the ring. There were
just points during.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
That for that was long thing.

Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
There were points during that first hour or two where
it was it just fell to me like, Okay, we're
kind of it seems like we're kind of dragging out
time and we know it's a four hour show and
we're trying.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
People came out multiple times and yeah, and I just thought, Okay,
I get it.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
But again, this is going to be a case where
I'm not going to enjoy it to my fullest extent
as an AW viewer because it's too long. I'm not
invested in a lot of this. And again, for the
love of God, women, you have a loaded roster showcase
them please.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
I know, I know we got the reunion FORKJ, but
how many viewers are watching this going like I don't
even know who that is? You know, like, how many
how many people are new? If you if you were
watching AW, within the last year. You don't know who
that is. So and the thing that bugged me about
that one. This is a small problem, and I know
it's kind of silly, Tyler, but when she came out,

(01:12:56):
I needed the screen to help me out a little
bit because she had so much like war paint on
for a quick spot. Why was she wearing war paint
in that moment? She didn't know she was ready for
a match. She came out with a pipe like she
should have come out with, like just like regular makeup
on for the stage and for lights and stuff like that,
but not with like her match makeup, because she was unrecognizable.

(01:13:20):
She had the hair back like she was going to fight.
She had the makeup on like she was gonna fight.
And I was just like, why not just come out
in street clothes and return. You can come out in
your ring gear, but like, let us see your face,
take your moment, like, let us really soak it in.
Let you soak it in because it's a big moment,
it's a big return. I would have loved to have
seen her instead. I was like, is that her? Under
all that? It was just like a little thing. But

(01:13:42):
I just thought it was kind of silly. It's always
it's pro wrestling, it's always a little silly. But when
you come out ready for a fight in a match
and it's your return and it's the end of a match,
why don't you come out earlier? She like getting beat
to death in the ring, and you're like, hold on,
I gotta get the green on Like, hold on, I'll
be out there. It's like, yeah, party doing his dance
at the top of the ramp while his brothers were

(01:14:04):
being beaten to death in the round.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
That was a great yeah, great, great gift, greatt.

Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
Just absolutely absolutely crazy stuff. I'm speaking of crazy stuff.
I feel a little crazy for not Tyler for not
going to this TNA against all odds event. I decire
if I'm going to go up on the twenty eighth,
if I felt like I felt like I should probably
just stay home. If I'm going to be driving up

(01:14:30):
and back again for the third time in the last
two months or month, whatever it is, I should probably
wait it out. But you were there, You were there.
Go on to the g iPod nineteen social accounts check
out Tyler's pictures from the event. Our social crew did
a great job of posting pictures this time for live
event shown, So hit the music, let's get into it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
Shouts to the social media team here at GI Brad,
you are forgiven next TNA event. I do expect you there, sir,
but in the meantime, happy to report back my findings
as you and I spoke about on air off here.
This is TNA's first time in Arizona in nearly thirteen years.
A lot has changed in our lives in wrestling in

(01:15:28):
the country in that so it's wild okay twenty twelve,
Fast forward to twenty twenty five, they were back, and
what a fun show it was. I want to actually
rewind and tell you about what happened before the event.
So we grabbed food, this being my dad and I'm
so grateful that wrestling is such a similar part of
our relationship. We grabbed food on the West side. So

(01:15:49):
the event was at the Mullet Arena, ASU's Hockey Arena
that's in Tempe. That's about a thirty to forty minute drive.
But we grabbed food on the West side, which we're
known to do at this PA to join Raise Pizza
on Greenway, and during our early dinner, this gentleman comes
over to us and he says, okay, so you have

(01:16:11):
a Yankee hat. He was speaking to me he had
a Yankee hat as well, So I was already noticing
the Yankee hat, but now I had to come over
when I saw you wearing that Stephanie puck cair shirt
and I said, my man, what is your name? He said,
I'm Dave. What is your name? I said, I'm Tyler.
It's great, La Premier, it's great to meet you. And
then so we're speaking about not only the Yankees playing

(01:16:33):
the Red Sox, and then also the brilliance that is
Stephanie Bucker. But then Dave reveals to us that he's
not going to Against All odds, but he's going to
the Saturday Impact tapings. And then we discovered Brad he
was at double or nothing. Oh yeah, So a random
interaction at Raised Pizza before against all odds. It just
made me ask me in reminded me how much of
a community this whole thing is. So that was great.

(01:16:56):
That kind of led me to believe, Okay, tonight is
going to be fun. So then we eventually make it
down to Tempee Parking. Situation was super easy. Mulled Arena.
This is my first time there. Beautiful venue. I think
you would really really enjoy it. So again we get
there at ASU's Hockey Arena. It seats five thousand. I
would say they were at least fifteen hundred or so fans,

(01:17:18):
so it wasn't a sellout by any means, but a
lot of people showed up and brought the passions. There
were two dudes to my left. We had floor seats
this time Row four. Two dudes right behind commentary. Actually,
there were two dudes to my left who were awesome. Brad.
You and I have lamented about the trials and tribulations
of the fan experience being with other fans, because you

(01:17:41):
have people like Dave who instantly become the homies, but
then you have other people who we feel less positive about.
The two dudes to my left. I did not get
their name, sadly, but they were awesome, Brad. They didn't
even know each other, they weren't related to each other
by any means. They came separately, but just solid fans,
super respectful, good guys. Uh, you know, we're rooting for

(01:18:03):
the good guys, booing the bad guys. They were both
big Trick Williams fans. Yeah yeah, yeah, And one of
the guys was so one guy was saying, whoop that
trick and the other guy was essentially playing the booker
key role. I was saying, uh huh, yeah, that's a
trick man. So it was just like, oh man, these guys,

(01:18:24):
these guys watch wrestling. They're funny, they understand the assignment.
They're not inebriated. Uh, they just like they came here
for a good time and we're just solid. So that
that just really made the experience. My dad's my right,
so blessed. I just want to give a shout out
to some of the talent here, Steve Macklin, Leon Slater,

(01:18:47):
the entire Knockouts division. You saw the inspiration, Yes popped up,
they signed with Yes, Legging Lee, Masha Slamovich, Killer Kelly Returned,
the Hearty were there. I don't think I've ever seen
the Hartis Live.

Speaker 2 (01:19:03):
That's dope.

Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
I did at TNA against all odds. You had Joe Hendry,
you had Trick Williams. Of course Mike Santana appeared as well.
So this was a really, really great experience. TNA is
doing really well right now from the business end of things,
and you had fans there who were specifically rocking TNA shirts. Right.
I came with my step back here, so I was

(01:19:25):
not a part of that group. But you had people
who entered the arena with TNA merch and you had
people who left with TNA merge. So I'm really eager
to see how they continue to build, specifically that TNA
fan base across the world, but specifically an easy Brad,
this was a major win. Shout out Dave, shout out
the two guys to my left. And whenever TNA comes back,

(01:19:48):
well we'll have to attend because this was a really,
really fun show. And for Slammiversary, I still think Mike
Santana is going to beat Trick Williams for that main title.
Masha Slamovich, I don't know who she's facing. You get
Indy hart Well, you get Killer Kelly, you get Testa
Blanchard popping back up. There's a lot of storylines worth
investing in. And again, Brad Winchester, Leon Slater, if you remember

(01:20:09):
one thing, if our audience member is one thing from
this live event Jones segment, Leon Slater, is that dude.
I think he's going to be throwing moose at Slammiversary.
If you have not watched Leon Slater work. Please YouTube
him after you check out Gimmick Infringement. He is amazing.
He's in his early twenties and he is so clearly

(01:20:30):
going to be the face of the X Division. Lot
to be excited about for TNA. That was against all odds.
Shout out, Dave, amazing, amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Now I'm really jealous. No, Tyler, what do we miss?

Speaker 1 (01:20:44):
Yeah? What did we miss?

Speaker 2 (01:20:46):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:20:46):
I have two items. Number one, along with Monday Night Raw,
the BET Awards are tonight. The BT Awards, it was
a seminole annual summer experience for me growing up. It's
really fallen off in the past few years, but this
one is slated to have a one O six in
park celebration. I watched TRL. I watched one O six

(01:21:06):
back in the day, and I have formative memories of
spending hours watching music videos and watching celebrities on those shows.
So really hopeful for the BAT Awards. It's the first
time I'm going to tune in live in years, and
I'm very, very hopeful for what's to come there. Total opposite, Brad,
what I am not hopeful for the state of the

(01:21:26):
Phoenix Suns. You may have heard they hired a head
coach finally, Jordan Ott, former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant. He's officially
the HC of our Phoenix Suns. His press conference will
be this Tuesday. The news also came out. Reports came
out that the Valley Jerseys are going to return next season.

(01:21:46):
The Valley Jerseys from the twenty twenty one finals run.
I have no idea what to feel about the Phoenix Suns, Brad.
I have exactly zero expectations for next season. I would
imagine Kevin Durant is going to get traded at some
point this summer. I want to go full Scorched Earth
and go full Promo of the Week Jones on this,

(01:22:07):
but I'm not going to. I'm gonna protect my peace,
my joy. I want Jordan not to do well. I
want the Phoenix Suns to do well. I'm just not
very confident that that will happen. In the meantime, Go Mercury,
what do we miss?

Speaker 2 (01:22:23):
You know? Thinking about that? It's the Suns are in
a dire straight but you're not the Knicks who fired
Dibbs as they're like, the best season they've had in
twenty years is a crazy move. There has to be
something there that we don't know because I can't possibly,
I can't make.

Speaker 1 (01:22:40):
A case for that, Like, there's no it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
You did better than anybody's done in this franchise twenty years.
You're fired. Let's get at crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:22:48):
Did did the did the fresh Prince? Just throw him out?
Jazz Jeff Just yeah, right here you go, Phil toss.
That's that's tough, mental crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
So out of that, yeah, that one was wild. The
only thing I could throw in there right now is
Aaron Rodgers is a Pittsburgh Steeler tyler a one year
I think thirteen and a half ish million dollar contract.
All right, They're used to older quarterbacks that have lost

(01:23:20):
some in the mobility arena, all of Ben Roethlisberger, So
maybe they could do something there. But I don't know
what he can offer at this point that the other
older quarterbacks on the roster can't. So we'll see. We'll
see what happens there. I'm curious to see how that
plays out. Really wish you would have just stayed in
Green Bay and retired. But we're here now, so we'll

(01:23:43):
see what happens.

Speaker 1 (01:23:45):
