Speaker 1 (00:40):
Hey everyone, it's Jazz. This is Giving Up the Ghost Podcast.
Welcome back to another rendition, another episode. October First, where
did this year go? October is like my most favorite
time of the year, just because well, you know, spooky
and I'll good stuff, birthdays, all that good stuff. This
(01:02):
past weekend we were at the Sip and Shop, the
pop up sip and Shop co hosted by the Fantastical
Emporium and the Winnipeg Paranormal Group and ourselves giving Up
the Ghost Podcast. I was your mc obnoxiously on the stage. Yeah,
it was a good day. Meddle at nice cool, creepy
(01:23):
cool people. We met Ash. Ash listens to the podcast
and it was quite delightful to meet her. Thank you,
and she came up. She shared a ghost story with us,
shared the ghost love. That's all we want. We just
want ghost stories anyway. But it was amazing. Also this
past week with Spirits. With Spirits, we had Judy and
James from Six Pines Hanted Attractions come out. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
(01:48):
They'll be opening for the season this weekend. Highly recommend
checking out their creepy, cool, gory Haunted attractions. Love James
and Judy, just the bestest of people. They told us
their stories of shadow Man that's been known to haunt
or be a trickster around the property. He's just curious,
(02:08):
he just wants to be involved. He causes no harm,
possibly just something that's attached to the land. So that's cool.
And yeah, so coming up we have we will be
participating in the Official Fantastical Emporium. Please check that out
that is coming up October twelfth. That will be out
(02:30):
at the Masonic Temple the corner of Osborne. And oh,
I'm so.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Bad with directions.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
I read a confusion corner there, So come say hi,
tell us a go story. We will have a table
there and merch. I got some super cool merch for
you guys this time around. I got these tote bags
that are really awesome pillows Halloween themed or as I
was corrected this past weekend Decorp household decor. I mean,
(02:59):
take it how you want it. So much to say
in these intros. This week's episode is short and sweet.
I'm still going through Dalnoverts Museums recordings that we did
this past July. We came out.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Share was with me, Remember Share Share my.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Beautiful pod partner. She was able to make it out.
It was her birthday last weekend. Happy belated birthday share.
So yeah, so tonight, sir, today's episode is the Dalnavert
and there's nothing much to it. It's just the first part.
It's just a quickie.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Like you know, when I edit these episodes, I have
to listen for so much. We had recorded voices a
few years back when we were at the Dalnovert and
it was actually our first time back since we offended
some Spirits potentially, so you know, nothing but love and
respect and no harm intended. So when I'm editing, it
(03:56):
takes a little extra long when I'm trying to listen
for voices or something peculiar. So I apologize for the delay.
Been super busy getting ready for these markets. And then,
like I said, we had Spirits with Spirits again. Definitely
mark your calendar is October twelfth, Come out to the
Fantastical Emporium, a great venue really to showcase all these wonderful,
talented people that want to sell you the best stuff
(04:20):
that they create, creepy cool stuff in fact as well.
Spirits of Spirits October twenty ninth, Mark your calendar. Now
our special guest is none other than infamous ufologist Chris Protowski, so.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Looking forward to that.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
He covers everything in the paranormal, not just UFOs, but
that is a specialty. I think it's guys like fourteen
books out now or something. So anyway, I think that's
the roundup for this week. Enjoy this QUICKI episode. There'll
be more from the doln avert next week. When they
did the Spirit Box, that's pretty creepy. There was a
lot of cool things that came out of some of
(04:59):
those sessions. So and saying that please get a hold
of us at giving Up the Ghost Podcast at gmail
dot com. Never be shy, reach out, say hi like
we're harmless. Facebook is one of our most active socials
that we're on. Reach out to us there. Yeah, so

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Doesn't go through walls really red though, sure that's what
it is, because I guess not check check what you
have in your room might be coming right from your room,
because those.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
For those hours, forging five week.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Hours don't go through walls really well.

She knows everything.
Speaker 8 (09:13):
So I'm uh, how do we thank you so much
for coming out tonight to our inscation, Miss Adela Young?
Speaker 4 (09:21):
This is a possibly beautiful building.
Speaker 3 (09:28):

Speaker 8 (09:30):
Uh, my name is Ashley and I really wanna pick
her on over so long with.
Speaker 4 (09:34):

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Two are members of the staff Maria and La, and
two are upteers. That's Joan and.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
We are the ones for I'm wanting to make sure
that nobody does anything.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
Or she's a permature ever.
Speaker 10 (10:27):
One of the bad works.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
We started.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I just wanted to.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Say that Base in Museum has been featured in two
shows in aptn HM. One was the Other Side.
Speaker 11 (10:41):
They were there for two days in twenty twenty and
the other one was post hundreds of.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
A Stare that was last year, What do you want
to do at stand? So quite a bit of experience.
Speaker 6 (10:53):
Eg.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
M Nicol, thank.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
You so much for coming out and helping us. And
I said, this beautiful, beautiful hole mka walk. So I
guess we can get into our paranormal molds. So some
of these we're living gonna sound kind of silly, they
being really easy, but some of them are actually.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Harder than they sound.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
And were droning all of you too kinds where you
follow up to time? Uh So the first one that
we have is paying attention to how you feel. So
obviously first and foremost it is very lot today. Okay,
So if you are like headed, if you're feeling.
Speaker 7 (11:34):
Whatever, please let us all and we can have you
sit down.
Speaker 8 (11:37):
We can cheat you outside, we can bring in here
where it's a little bit cooler.
Speaker 9 (11:42):
But we wanna make sure that you're safe from the heat.
There is water in here, not bringing it into the house.
So if here's need to drink this, just come out here,
have sip of water, and am your group again.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
But on the paranormal side, that our bodies are actually
our pastiles, uh in the investigations, So pay attention to
how you're feeling as well. If you're getting goods bumps,
or if you're uh all of a sudden getting ahead,
and if you step out of the room and then
goes away, pay attention to these.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Types of things.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Let us know.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
People do get overwhelmed or people do get scared.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
And that it's all normal and chromely okay, and just
let us know we'll help you out right when we
are in our private investigations.
Speaker 8 (12:29):
We go into all of our investigations with love and respect.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
We do love antags anything that is there, and we
ask the you guys do the same tonight. Okay, So
treat anything that is here like it's your relative.
Speaker 9 (12:44):
Use your manners, introduce yourself things like that, right, make
sure you just watch where you step.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Just to move home before boards get you live along stairs,
you're a little bit there or just be careful where
you're stepping. Uh there is a bathroom. Uh just out
this door.
Speaker 8 (13:01):
Lah Uh. All of you guys sign are one phone
phote video release.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
So please take pictures tonight, take the.
Speaker 10 (13:08):
Videos, take pictures staff, pictures of friends and your group whatever.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
And then take us in them tonight when you go
home and help of them. Throw them on our group
Facebook page, email us to us. Just as bad as
with the stuff that you guys get, we'd love to
see everything that you guys catch. Were those of you
who brought phones to fay, which.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Is like a hundred percent of people face.
Speaker 10 (13:30):
I'm gonna ask you guys to pull up your phone
and turn it onto airplane note.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
So we do fash equipment that is substand to your phones.
One of these. This is ruler I was talking about.
That's not really SI moment. It is actually one of
the hardest tools. We have. No whisperings, not on time.
It is you and nature that the citizen lights go
(13:56):
out and they're stark that everybody wants to whisper. Try
not to.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Well, this is your night and want you.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
Guys to have fun. Talk to your friends, talk to
the people in your group. This is a team event tonight,
so you know, even if you.
Speaker 10 (14:13):
Don't know the people that you're with, make friends, join
them up, try different things, but try.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Not to whisper.
Speaker 10 (14:22):
The reason for that is when you're actually reviewing audio,
you can't really tell the.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Difference between whispering and spelling response.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
So you know, if you're gonna be going home and
reviewing anything, which that you will trying to make sure
that you're not mistaking a whisper or you get something else.
We are going to walk you guys.
Speaker 8 (14:51):
Through a simple white light protection before we go into
the house.
Speaker 7 (14:55):
To night, and then once the event is done, we
you will also offer a group snudget outside, uh, just
to make sure that nothing follows you home.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
This one right appreciated or we don't obviously force anybody.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
To do these things, but you do encourage it, especially with.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
That experience in the acts.
Speaker 10 (15:20):
Any questions before I off you guys through the white
lights protection.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
You guys have obviously been here before. Yes, I'm have
some of us. Have some of us happened? I know
nothing of this most how do you feel like one
you have the mother's lash? We've had something definite?
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, yeah, we've recor we've recorded on the podcast voices.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Oh really yeah, at the.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
End of the night before in the groups.
Speaker 9 (15:46):
But we do come back here when you try and
validate your stories or your experiences.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
So please, you know, at the end of the night,
tell us what happened in your groups.
Speaker 9 (15:56):
We have these loveday ladies here who might be able
to actually stay out.
Speaker 8 (16:00):
Sounds right, Yes, my name is in this history or
you know. That's what We're here for us to try
and see what we can have. So share a share,
SHARE's d right.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
So I'm going to walk you guys through a white light.
Speaker 10 (16:16):
So I'm gonna ask everybody to stand up walls, and.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
I'm gonna get everybody to close your eyes.
Speaker 8 (16:26):
Oh, I'm gonna get everybody to take three very slow
deep roads.
Speaker 7 (16:35):
Who wants you to vision the white light for me
above your head. This white light is warm, it's comforting,
it is safe.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
The light is gonna slowly from over your shoulders. It's
gonna runs around your waist, giving you a hug.
Speaker 7 (16:57):
And it's gonna slowly from down over your legs, well
over your feet.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
And deep down into the ground. I want you get
to take three more slow do you plots? And I
need to go in your eyes. So this way, like,
does you not stop anything that happened if something wants
to touch it today? Or set you go flair hair,
flayer hair.
Speaker 8 (17:22):
What it does is helps provide the barriers, but nothing
essentially attached to you.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Alright, I got that, alright?
Speaker 2 (17:30):
An always that. Yeah, that's cute that I'm a milk
glass thing.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
I love that mclos but I have a milk glass one.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I find a lot of those along the river banking.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Yes, I think.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
I'm gonna strip you your microphone down, but you know,
I wanna say if I can find.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
The same set, but I don't know. If I gotta
find out if I can run them.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
All on one?
Speaker 2 (17:59):

stuff too.
Speaker 4 (18:25):

kitchen perfect, Thank you.
Speaker 2 (18:37):

some stories. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
I know once you was like and you don't remember
who was a few weeks two?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
How you think, Oh my sir, what was your name?
I'm yes.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
There was just one time we were closing the house.
Speaker 9 (19:04):
It was a little bit later because the cleaners were here,
and I ended up staying a little bit later to
continue working out on one of my tours.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
But we were closing the house, one of the doors.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
In the servants quarter, it just kind of slammed.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
It was weird.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
That would catch me off. Cartoon.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Yeah, it was a little weird.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
I was like, okay, it was.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Tired for the day.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
I was like, I wasn't closer. They wanted, they wanted.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
They were usual exactly that.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
I haven't had much after that though, had anything lately. Okay,
you never know. You never know.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
My mother, my mother in law, when they renovated this place,
she actually set up the gift shop like that was
her job.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
And uh yeah, she had some good stores.
Speaker 11 (19:53):
I feel like, yeah, like the the servant buzzer, like
not the the delivery buzz Yeah, but it was disconnected
because they renovated.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
And then she would also smell uh h h, John's smoke.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
The puffer. We're just gonna rummage around.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Oh the summer kitchen. Oh my gosh, look at that.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
That's so cool.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
This fan remindest man of my grandma's.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
That's pretty old.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
It's in good shape, though. I wonder if I can
take pictures and record at the same time.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
What do you think.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Either, or you know what, we could take a selfie
and then just do like this up. I was thinking
about that. I don't know, somewhere. I love the newspapers
on the walls.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
That's pretty cool. Poppy that it is because it it
actually has articles.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Yeah, I know, they're cool.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
That's the Tribute and my god, you remember the Tribune.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
I remember the Tribune. Yeah, I'm they are quite the
infamous family, where they not?
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Speaking of which, I wonder how many people.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Were employed here, oh like all together, all full like
over the over over time.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
Over happened to be?
Speaker 3 (21:41):
You know that's cool? Night cleaner?
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Is that what that is?
Speaker 3 (21:45):

Speaker 6 (21:45):
Oh wow?
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Interesting, very pashy. Yeah, you'll be push.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
I could just imagine how many people be looking out
of this window, just waiting to go home, like servant wise,
like just.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Oh yeah, be like, oh I just wanna go.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
I don't know the stuff.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
That's a beautiful stove. Remember got like a little little
pantry in here.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Oh yeah, that's nice.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Remember the last time we were recording here with the video,
my video was seizing up and my phone was seizing house.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Oh that's okay, don't touch anything. I guess this would
be like the butler's quarters here.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
Hh.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
I don't know if that is HM, just checking it
out walking around.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
We're in the kitchen now, putting our k two meters
up to everything, but not touching.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Touch don't that's an awkward looking cow, isn't it chunky?
Speaker 4 (22:58):
That's take a fat cow?
Speaker 3 (23:04):
I like, I never found anyone that in my left.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
I think they call that a heifer.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
As a heifer, it's a very square cow with a
very small head.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
I love those kind of clocks, those old what do
they call those? A little bit regulators?
Speaker 4 (23:20):
It chimes on the hour.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
I have a fascination with clocks. There's something about clocks.
Did you see that thing that I maybe not.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
A whole wall done with clocks as like you're it.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Looks so cool.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
I would I would do that. Yeah, I would still
do that'd be creepy if and then look up here
they have you know, yeah, so they would call for
the help.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Yeah, take a picture of that and I'll post that
on Facebook, and it's like for every room, major room, bedroom, bedroom,
and then the help would come running.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yeah is this the back what happened?
Speaker 2 (24:02):
That would have been the back door of the original.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
There's a littlemud room in there.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
I'm like, cause that's not the outside right there. Mm,
that's a good thing.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
They have fans everywhere.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Oh, be good, dying, you gonna make my way.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
I love this.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
I love this hallway. I'm gonna get the back of
your head.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
No, keep talking the back of yours.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
There. That's all the beautiful one.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Oh that's beautiful, isn't it nice? Yeah? You can't even
get the anheld pretty must it'll be hard to remember
