Speaker 1 (00:40):
Hey everyone, it's Jazz and this is Giving Up the
Ghost Podcast. Thank you so much for listening to us. Again.
This week we have a continuation, part two of the
Aviation Museum the Ghost Investigation held by the Winnipeg Paranormal
Group last fall. Again, have not heard any voices. However,
on this episode I've en titled Ghosts in the Machine,
(01:03):
or I could have also called it the Twilight Zone,
just because we did try to record some audio and
we spoke with the volunteer by the plane that was
in that accident in nineteen seventy one that killed eight
students and the pilots. So some funny stuff was happening
(01:24):
with the phone when we were recording and taking pictures
around there. We will post the pictures on Facebook to
match up with this episode. And yeah, just really weird
stuff happened. We couldn't get a decent well, the recording
froze up, like the phone froze up. It's happened before.
It happened one other time at the Saint James Museum,
(01:45):
So you know, somebody didn't like what we were doing,
but that's fine, and the other reason why we could
have potentially called this episode as well. The twilight zone
because there was some really weird poop happening when we
were getting off the Air Canada flight. Some of the
tour people on the tour were doing the machine, the
(02:06):
sensory deprivation machine, and the pair normal girls used their
really cool light like it has like all these green dots,
so then that way, if something breaks the spectrum, you
would notice that anyway, But it was really weird because
Kelly had experienced like as soon as she stepped out
(02:28):
of that cab or the plane, everything kind of went
funny for her, and I kind of had the same
experience too. I thought it was just me and I
didn't talk about it until later, but anyway, just weird.
I don't know if it's because the lighting that they had,
you know, going from like a pitch black going into
like the museum, but I mean the lights were off,
(02:52):
so it's not like a total shock to the system,
so can't explain that. But in any event, again, it
was a really really great experience. It was a super
cool place to have the ghost investigation. Wait till you
hear part three, because we get some stories from the
staff that work there. So yeah, if you don't believe
that story might just make you believe. In Part three,
(03:14):
that's probably going to be a couple weeks out. Next
week we're going to have part one of the Spirits
with Spirits that we had at the Kingshead Pub last Wednesday,
May twenty eighth. What a great night. Thirty people showed up.
You know what, it's a Wednesday night. It's a little
off different location, but you know what, obviously we didn't
(03:37):
drop the ball so badly. They want to have us
back out and they invite us to come back out
on June twenty fifth, so watch for advertisements for that
and contests and such to promote it. And that was
a great night. And thank you, thank you so much
to the five people that we had come on stage
and tell us their ghost stories, because that's exactly what
it is, Spirits of Spirits. Everybody tells their ghost story
(03:59):
or paranormal experience and no judgment whatsoever. So thank you
so much again for tuning in a lot more cool,
a lot more cool things coming up that we have
on the Helm this summer and interviews. So in saying
that this is part two the Aviation Museum, the Ghost
Investigation and if you need or want, well you should
(04:21):
need to get a hold of us, but if you
want to share your story with us, please email us
at giving Up the Ghost Podcast at gmail dot com.
And again, remember to live every day like it is
your last. But never give up the Ghost chat for now.
Huh m hm, push the button, just push us. Yeah, sorry, sorry,
(04:51):
I could not see us anywhere.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Oh good, Oh you had it that a way? Oh
holy ship, that's great.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Watch your foot goes down. Oh this is cool. Hey,
oh look I'm punking Canada again. Hell you, holy crap
my eyes? Or what is that? Is that a helicopters?
Weird and turns it flips upward in a helicopters? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
(05:35):
these little guys just hanging out in the box is
a kind of weird day. Oh yeah, I bet you
if you put that thing against it. I wonder who's
over somebody's uniform uniform back? Oh wait, aren't we supposed
to look for that uniform? Are we? Yeah? I got
(05:56):
two greens. I had two greens. It's just just just
a h I don't know those guys give me the
I have a heat thing in there. I have a
heat thing, but yeah, I don't know. Oh you have
a heat here hot. No, it's picking up electromagnet. This
(06:20):
is the cold and then this is nope doing its
own thing. Yeah, no over here, m h.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Really, I haven't played with this thing too much. I'm
never here my arm cold. We were just standing here,
he was talking about.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Right here.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Oh yeah, if there's like events though, I feel cold
as well. You feel like I feel like a cold
draft here. Oh oh I looked up and get the
temperature thing today.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah, I don't know how to. I just got this
thing and I never played with it. It does, but
it does work because it's like one of those electrician tools.
It will change like I just thought up over.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
There, Hilaria's cold though, fine, I can get the temperature thing.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Weird. Is there one on the table still or no?
I think that's Kelly. Yeah, I know he was talking
about He just said he was.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
We were talking about Emelia Earhart and that she could
a plane just like this when we were standing But yes,
just like this one, except this has passenger room where
hers did not.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
You never mentioned any particular story, gentleman was saying by
the plane, he felt that changed temperature by the plane.
I'm just saying, Tracy, weird smells. Okay, there's a few
in here. Had a snow of scummer cold. Now its
like band aids in that.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Oh it smells like band aids so bad, and that
thaying there's not why I was like old band aids, man,
Yeah it does. And then I tried to break your
lights when I went in there.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yes, do you want to try the country again? Triggers.
I don't know. I think it just gros. Yeah. No,
that's not the temp. That's the thermal. Oh, multi, it's
over on the table. It's red. Is it red? Okay?
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Oh go see you will do cold as well? Like
is it do one of those multi like those multi
colored things?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Yeah? In the aim in the cabin. No, I don't
think it's her. Oh I lost my phone, man, Yeah,
up in the cabin to China.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Ye oh crap, I got a thing flashing here too.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
You got something flashing? Yeah, I want to go take
a picture. I couldn't find she said. The only red
thing was the spirit box. So uh not. There's a
story about I mean, his history was most of the
for the next model, which was this is this because
(09:39):
we can't go beyond the beyond the great thing. Yeah,
I know let's try this. Let's try this playing here.
Well this first second, I just want to take a
picture of the SuDS. Let just go over here. And
this is delivering a cure. That's not the name of it,
(10:00):
but I know that's a weird noise. Creepy. It is
creepy looking this thing, though, I know, isn't it. I
don't like I don't like the outside struck. No, it's like,
I don't know. It looks like an aunt and roof
(10:21):
or something. Yeah, I know that's with a little tiny plane,
just a replica. That's so cute.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Okay, Oh look I can walk around here though the
mad Trapper. Oh look, you can walk right around. Oh,
we can go all the way over in the corner. Interesting,
that's all right over here. Oh, this is a good picture.
I gotta take a picture here leaving home culture too dark.
Oh here, it is tragedy on lind Wood. Yeah, yeah,
(10:51):
don't worry. We're staying outside the We're not.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Going on that. No, no, no, no, Yeah. I got
all excited that we could walk around. Yeah. I know,
she's like, there's no great here because this is a
good picture.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Angle here, Yeah, Eldorado Silver Express.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Yeah, I had no knowledge that that happened. Huh crash
mm hmm. He looks very much like that Milwaukee.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Uh, Margaret, that would that's funny, Yes, Margaret, that would.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
That's that's like Transcona has all the phone down. Yeah
I had. Now it's working again, but I had to
shut the phone down. It wouldn't let me do anything.
I've had that once before when we were at was
it to add six pints? No, it happened, James was
St James? Yeah, okay with Saint James. Yeah, but we're
(11:58):
talking about the children that in that plane we're over there,
or didn't the K two didn't pick anything up. But
then all of a sudden, I look at.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Chair and and it's flashing, so flashing. It's working now
the babies were what the are working?
Speaker 1 (12:15):
What the hell?
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Our moves are fabulous? Okay, right, right right? And I
just checked one of my paranormal friends. Have we came
down the stairs? I feel completely lost, Really, Mike, where
am I really?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
What the hell? And I didn't take anywhere in my drugs.
I can't blame it on the drugs. It's so scary,
like disconjointed almost, yeah, discombobulated. I know, yeah, I didn't
know where I was.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Absolutely, you're just you're you're just embarking on a strange land.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah exactly. Yeah, yeah I've arrived. But where am I stopped?
I'm like, well, good thing you stopped. Yeah you know, yeah,
what just happened. I was just telling Sherry, we're speaking
with the gentleman here over there where the children died
and the plane that landed on Lindwood, right, We're just
talking about it, and all of a sudden I see
(13:17):
on her mic like blinking, blinking, and I'm like, both
of them are blinking like they're dead or something.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
And I look and it's the absolutely froze up. Like
I couldn't get out of it. I couldn't stop, stopped,
and I didn't do anything. Equipment over there, I have
nothing happened, nothing but that happened before at the Saint
James Museum.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
That happened not not this last round, but a year ago. Yeah,
h yeah, in the actual museum itself. Anyway, that was Yeah.
I was like, it's really disconcerting right now, are you okay?
Oh yeah, every concern? Yeah, but did you get to
(14:05):
recognize people? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yeah, this ever happened to you.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Mm hmmm, mm hmm. Yeah, that is kind of cool.
You had a good you had a good fight. You're good.
You're with your friends. You're with your friends. It's so fine.
It's so good. If you walked down there and you
didn't recognize anyone, that's a whole Yeah, I know. To
get back in a second. Yeah, sorry, mm hmmmm.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Very weird and cool, pretty cool, creepy, creepy girl.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Oh, I might well have a for a second. Away.
I got to find another bench. I think there was
coming up. There was a bench back there, but I'm
gonna stroll away. I don't like those guys in there
and freaked me out. The guys in the case.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Yeah, I don't like the guys in the case. That's
just so weird looking to me.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Let me take they too. I'm gonna go up there,
and you're gonna go up there again.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
I'm gonna saunter until I can't saunter anymore.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Actually I'm gonna set then it's hard on the twish key.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Oh oh all right, let's this scared me, this little light.
I'm like, you guys got up and you left.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Oh blinded. Parent's trying to connect to the other side
she's doing that. Oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah
box fo. We don't get it. Would be scared another
(15:57):
Oh that's a little replica. H what the hell? That
was weirdly delayed that I took a picture of the
ground speaking delayed pictures really freaks. What the hell? I
pushed the button and then it didn't take until way
after that was fine. It might be cool if we
(16:22):
took a picture and there'd be like, somebody, yeah, this
is this is my first shot. That was weird. Yeah,
it's like, okay, I'll pass. I want to took a
picture and then have somebody like show up in the picture,
andn't that be cool in the cockpit?
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Oh yeah, that's what I was trying to take pictures.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
But that's like just like a dummy. I don't like that. No,
And then watch the head turn around and look at
my Yeah, I'm out of there. That'd be like, oh
yeah pass on that. Yeah, hard note for me. Yeah,
(17:01):
that's kind of weird how it froze up like that.
Yeah that happened like that other time I was doing
the investigation with them. Weird o. This part feels really
creepy to me.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, I'm like trying to look at these windows in
the plane. I'm like zooming in on them and all
the little ones on the side. Maybe do that when
you're you've got a good drink happening. Yeah, this one
is the can can can add.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Air can start. That's seen some action. I bet you
that's killed a few people.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Jim McMahon's mcmain's, Jim, Are you here, Jim, Jim, Jim
Jim James James.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Did he diet act well?
Speaker 2 (17:52):
He says listed, Oh, it says in memory of Frank.
It was sponsored by Jim Frank Frank. Are you here,
Frank Frank? Are you by your plane? I'm sure this
is your baby. I'm sure this is your ride and
it's your baby. The people treated him like, oh, look
at the size of the fucking bomb on there. Holy crap.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
I just noticed that I could take out the villagers. Yeah,
no ship, yikes. It sounds like there's a party happening
over here. There's a particle last year and some laughter too.
(18:40):
You're going the sailor, but so like, I don't know
how this thing works, Like I don't oh the other one,
but I believe it's temperature. Does it say temp? Well,
if us average, there's different buttons here feet in but
(19:08):
now I can't change the buttons. It was changing before,
but this number was changing. I've had this in my house.
I've had this in my house. I've had this in
my house where because of the electrical the numbers but
when we're walking down the aisle there change changing. It
(19:29):
was fluctuating to twelve.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
I think, oh, this is a oh that's ah what
do you McAll it?
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Ejector thing? Right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Must be the way they explode open like that. It's
a simulator, oh says this simulator allowed voodoo pilots and navigated.
I don't know man to practice fun.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Procedures. So does voodoo have to do it an instructor
at a separate console. The instrument readings to stimulate different
like oh, we're going down, we're going down? Right, change
all these things. I wonder how many people shut their
pants in there? Yeah? No kidding? That a bomb? I
(20:23):
don't know it's a bomb. Must see what it says?
The hell there's oh rocket? Okay, so what did that do?
Speaker 2 (20:45):
I probably blew up things. I'm assuming I guided puresion
one point kill a tongue yield. Yeah, that would be
a boom boom.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Yeah, I figure that is that. A rocket does a rocket?
What does a rocket? Wow? Black? Oh, I don't know.
I don't want to brand. I don't want I don't
want to go back here. I don't like back here. Oh?
Why is it so dark in here? I don't I
don't know. The hell is that? To your phone? It's UFAU.
(21:21):
I gotta take a picture of this. What the heck
is this? That's amazing. If this can't actually fly, maybe
it did? Now I have no the moon beIN among
the stuffers. I can't put my flash on an area.
(21:41):
Actually the pictures help flash quite frankly. So, yeah, what
is this? Mayhem? What kind of the hell? It's acro?
That's an avrol. I didn't really, we didn't know they
looked like that. I didn't know that either. I'm gonna
(22:02):
take a picture of cool. Weird. Weird is an understatement.
It's a UFO, That's what I'm saying. Well, maybe they
tried to go with the feel of a UFL because
the daring design is right. Well, because how does it fly?
(22:22):
How does it get lyft? I don't know, there's no wings?
How do you get lift out of it? Is it
all rocket propelsal? I don't know steam? What is that
the cockpit there? That creepy over here? I know, I
don't like. I don't like it. Over Here it says
the ghost of something right on the wall? Does it
it actually does snap? Well, then you know that's got
(22:47):
to be the good stuff right there? The ghost of
Sharone Lake? What is that? Presented by the jar antennis? Okay?
What is it? Went to storm remote northern lake, forced
landing struggle to survive. What happened to the ghosts of
(23:08):
strom Lake? I don't know what happened. I don't know
what is it? I don't know. I like to look
it up.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Is it like the chillen Chilian guys that ended up
paralyzing each other?
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Or or is it like the dude that took all
the gold from the gold house? Oh it could be.
Maybe should we tag along with a group like just
kind of straight off? I don't know. I feel like
I'm interfering in them. Yeah I don't.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
I mean I don't want to rob them with no
exactly They paid money to see that. That's a nice
picture there of this underbelly.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Oh yeah, look at that. We were walking right under it.
We didn't even know it. What is this Canadian arm Forces?
This big arm forces one? I wish I could touch them. Well,
I want to touch the air hole plane. That's a
(24:02):
good picture right here. I know yeah, Nadian Air Force.
They probably still use that plane. Probably. Sorry, I was
a mad What a bad chuck. How long have you volunteered?
That's just about two years? Yea, just like the other
fellar we were talking yeah with COVID. Oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
My family's thing was getting in the car and driving
around and this was our turnaround James right from the
hole in the ground stage.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Watch.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Then finally said well we're here half the time. Why
don't you volunteer? And a few months later I was
a tour guide and then I joined said oh you're
a teacher and I my spare teacher at night. Oh okay, yes,
(25:00):
come in. I was here yesterday with the school group
from John M. King and there were sixty five students.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
We took them around and we teach them about why
airplanes were.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Able to fly? What what is this? Teach me this
I don't know fully and.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
The remnant of the Cold War. Okay, they were afraid.
They the governments in the West that if it was
a nuclear exchange, sure.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Sure, sure, we'll follow with you.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
And they were afraid that all the airports and all
the fighter planes would be destroyed. So the dream was
applying jeep with missiles, machine guns, hiding in the hills
waiting for the invasion. It's got three jet engines, it is, yeah,
and then the Alasko straight down. It's basically right, the
(26:02):
little attitude control jets. The problem is it's stabilized.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
And about three giant hovercraft. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
The other problem, so it could have been like Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
The problem though, there was the effort from.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
The jet exhaust. The pilots got a little toasty.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Oh yeah, I would think.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
And it was sponsored by the US Air Force, and
they pulled the plug on it because they thought it
was Yeah.
