the corner of Pemina and Osbourne. Yeah, come on down.

great time. Those people, they are serious about their creepy
cool stuff. They have everything in anything. Love the market.

dare say, Halloween decor or household decor. Got some nice
little pillows, got some throw pillows, got some tots, some
Season of the Bitch t shirts which everybody loves. Come
on down, say hi, tell a ghost story and come

(01:58):
check out all the fabulous vendors. A lot of the
vendors that are at this Sunday's get together at the
market are the same ones that we're at the pop
up sip and shop at the King's Head that happened
last week Sunday. So in honor of the upcoming market,
the very large market, I want to add this episode

(02:19):
this week is the ghost stories that we collected from
the pop up sip and shop and kudos, thank you
so much to Fantastical Emporium and also to the Winnipeg
Paranormal Group for allowing me to be your MC for
the day. It was kind of awkward. I didn't know
what to say, I didn't know what to do. I'll

(02:40):
get better with time, I promise, maybe with alcohol as well.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
So we've got a few.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Cool ghost stories, cat ghost stories or one ghost story
for a cat. I offer a dog ghost story and
we meet Ash. Hey, Ash, Thanks, thanks for introducing yourself
and coming up. She says, she listens to us all

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
So that's this week's quick and dirty.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
What's coming up?

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Lots of activities, lots of ghost investigations. Check out the
Winnipeg Paranormal Group for their excursions. They've got public ghost investigations,
some at the Saint Norbert just off the top of
my head, the Saint Norbert Educational Center. They're doing a
talk over at the Saint Andrew's Rectory I believe. Also

(03:40):
the Daily House in Brandon, which is one that we'll
be out at or I'll be there representing and checking
out the Daily House and Brannon. So all your Brandon
peeps say hi, give us a shout out. We'll be
nice to meet some of our people that listen to
us out that way. What else did I want to mention?
Oh yeah, Spirits with Spirits at the King said. This

(04:00):
will be October twenty ninth, our Halloween edition. Wear your
costumes for a chance to win prizes, and our special
guest speaker that we're going to have is going to
be none other than world renowned ufologist Chris Rotowski, who's
written like I think maybe a dozen or fourteen books.
He's going to talk everything paranormal, including UFOs. He does

(04:21):
a little bit of everything. So such a great guy,
you know, and just he's so smart and funny to
listen to. So he's got a lot of really cool insights.
So that's going to be October twenty ninth. Mark your
calendars now, Spirits with Spirits, it's going to be an
uber cool, spooky night two days before Halloween.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
That's it for me.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
So again, I'm going to try and get a couple
extra episodes out during the month of October here and there.
Thanks for your patience. Editing is quite a chore and
I've been quite busy. So in saying that, thanks for
the bottom of our creepy dead hearts for me and share.
Thanks for listening and remember to listen. Wait, try that again.

(05:03):
I remember, live every day like it is your last.
But never give up the ghost shout for now.

Speaker 3 (05:11):

Speaker 1 (05:12):

show started.

Speaker 2 (07:24):

A Yeah, oh I could.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I guess I could.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Oh is it?

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Oh nice?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
You know I love Golden Girls because it's got such
a variety, you know, like.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Like guest star. Oh, I mean not, you know, well
the cameos. Yeah, but I like the cameos that they do,
like of uh.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
You know, seventies, Like I you know what, like when
I'm working and I have the TV on just for company,
I watch Match Game seventy six.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I need I need a live fear. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
And the King's Head is haunted in case you didn't
know that or any So if you guys see or
hear anything, definitely let.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
The Winnipeg pair in our home group know. And me too.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
M yeah not that kid.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Ooh.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Something just touched me. Oh that's creepy. I felt my
hair go like this, Ashley.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Something just touched the back of my head. I'm not
shitting that's maybe.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Well the first night, the first night we did uh
spirits with spirits hair at the King's Head, I caught
something out of the corner of my eye moving the curtain,
and somebody from the audience even said you saw something
back there.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
I saw something too, So I felt something go like this,
shoot the back of my hair. Yeah, there's no air
on or anything.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
No, who knows. I'll put uh, I'll put this off
on my phone too.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Were what d D March You can see if there
is something in that yeah recording. Oh yeah, good point.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
When you guys did your uh public investigation at seven Oaks, right,
like when we were in the store with Jess, Me
and Teresa, there was like babies crying, yeah, dress a
s Yeah, and I don't recall anybody outside having babies,
like there were kids playing around, but this was like
bees yeah where.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
In the store?

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Oh yeah, right, very cool.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I still got to edit to part two and three
on that one too.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Oh, it's it's a lot of time. And I mean
not to sound like that person or anything else. It's
not like I do anything better, you know, my time,
But I mean to be like alert to listen for stuff.
That's the other thing. Because I also found weird noises
when you were walking do the walk through at the
Lord Fort Gary that time. I also found weird, like

(10:44):
little noises in the audio. Nothing that I'd wanted to.
I think I might have pointed a couple out, but
save for the dozen that I found. I think in
the description of that episode, I pointed out like at
the mark, like at this time, you know, listen for
these things.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Thanks.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
But that's why I always like when people listen to
the podcast. It hasn't happened yet, but I don't want
people to listen. Maybe they hear something different that I don't.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
You know, So, Aaron, are you gonna tell some of
your ghost stories later?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Heck? Yeah, she's got some gooders.

new alien stuff?

House oooh spooky, super spooky.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
They should have musical on in the background.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Yeah, I'll last after if Chris comes back upstairs.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Great clients thinking like Aaron, right, Uh, that way, I
don't have to constantly entertain.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Not that I'm entertaining. I mean I think I'm funny,
but you know.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Hilarious funny like a heart attack that was improper. Sorry,
I'm not very proper.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
It's a red button, I think on that one.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
See, those are good ghost detectors, right, they're motion activated,
maybe something's walking in front of it.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
They go off at my house. The tree one's kind
of cool, and don't forget. If anybody has any ghost
stories they wanna share, please come on out.

in front of everybody else or privately, it's all good.

fit LPs back there too, eh.

in Minnedosa. No friends to Minnedosa. I'm just saying it's yeah, hello,

Speaker 2 (17:12):
What is your name? Genny?

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Hi, Jenny, I'm Jazz Hi.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
I'm just gonna do this one.

Speaker 8 (17:17):
How close do I have to beat it? This?

Speaker 4 (17:19):
This is for my recording and then for everybody. Okay,
NY's the tell a whole story? Hi everybody.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
Uh so this is a short little ghost story about
a ghost cat. So when I was a teenager living
at home, I think we had just gotten our second cat,
and I was super jealous because the cat would always
go and sleep with everybody else in the family except
for me. And then one day or one night, I'm

(17:49):
drifting off to sleep and I hear like the little
katy cat footprints coming up to my bed and I'm like, oh, boy,
it's the cat. Then I feel the cat jump on
my bed and snuggle down like cats do, right by
my knees. So I went to reach down and pet it,
and there was nothing there. And I was like, well,
that's weird. It must be because I just want I'm

(18:10):
so desperate to have this cat, this other cat come
sleep with me. This must be like a phantom thing.
And this happened for nights and nights. This went on
for weeks, and then one day at dinner, my dad
said to the family, he said, you know, the weirdest
thing has been happening. Just as I'm drifting off to sleep.

(18:31):
It feels like a cat jumps on the bed. And
when I reached down to pet it, there's nothing there.
And I looked at him and I said, that is
so weird because that's been happening to me too. So
my dad and I both believed in this ghost cat,
but the rest of the family just thought we were
either crazy or making things up. And then my grad

(18:53):
they're just jealous. Yeah, we were chosen by a ghost cat.
And then my grandmother came for a visit from England
and my grandma has always was. Always the family would say,
you know, she she's kind of got the gift right,
and I never quite believed it. But when she visited,
she said she actually saw the cat. She was sleeping

(19:14):
in my room. She said she actually saw the cat.
It was a great, big, white, fluffy cat. And then
once she went back to England, we never felt the
cat again. So she took my Yeah, she took our
ghost cat.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
So that's my story. So thank you, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, and I have one and another one you
for definitely come home. And your name. My name is Teresa.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
We have a Teresa Oh Suden, I'm Jenny.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
Hi, nice to meet you, Thanks for coming. Okay, So
my story is that when I was probably around thirteen
years old or so, I woke up in the middle
of the and I could hear footsteps on the main
floor of our house. Now our parents had a bedroom

(20:07):
down on the main floor, but it was the middle
of the night and there was no reason that one
of them would have been walking around. And then I
heard like somebody sitting on the sofa because it was
an older sofa where you could hear like the springs
when you sat down and stuff. So I could hear this,
and I thought, oh, it's probably just the cat, because
we had a really big cat that kind of sounded

(20:29):
like a human. And then I looked and was totally
petrified when I saw that the cat was lying on
our window sill in the room. So I'm like, okay,
it's not the cat, so what is it. So I'm
sitting in my room like, oh my god, like I'm
really scared. I'm like thirteen, I'm freaking out. And then

(20:50):
my sister, who had her bedroom across the hall, she
comes out of her room, not because she heard anything,
just to go to the washroom, and she see me
in my room and I'm just sitting on the bed
and I'm beckoning her with my finger, too scared to
even say anything, just like you know, for her to
come in. So she comes in my room and she

(21:13):
hears it too, and we're like, okay, that's really weird,
like and it just we just knew it wasn't one
of our parents. So then like the house we lived
in was an older house, probably built in the early
nineteen hundreds, like it had belonged to my dad's dad
and then went through the family, so an older house.
So then we heard the footsteps coming up the stairs,

(21:36):
so we're like freaking out. So we're looking for like
any sort of pseudo weapons that we could find. I
think I grabbed a belt. I can't remember what my
sister grabbed, but we're like, oh my god. And then
there was a landing, so you came up the stairs.
Then there was a landing, and then there were maybe
five steps above the landing, so we could hear that

(21:58):
the footsteps stopped on the landing. So we finally got
up the courage to peek outside of my room to
see who was standing on the landing, and when we
went around the corner, there was nobody there, but we
hadn't heard the footsteps go back down the stairs, and
the stairs they were older, so again they creaked, so

(22:22):
we would have heard somebody go back down. So we
woke my parents up. They were in a heavy sleep,
so it definitely wasn't either of them, and we were
so freaked out that for the rest of the night,
my sister and I just played cards the rest of
the night because we were too scared to go back
to bed. And that's the only time that anything like

(22:42):
that happened. But it just was really freaky yes, because
we woke them up to tell them.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
And like another time, did you tell them?

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Yeah, and they had no like they didn't have any
explanation for it either at all, Like they thought, well,
did somebody somehow get in through one of the doors,
But then it would make no sense that we heard
the footsteps stop at the landing and then nobody being there.
So yeah, that really we still talk about it. Actually

(23:12):
remember that night, so yeah, it was it was. I
don't know that I believe in ghosts, but that night
I kind of did. So that's my story.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Thanks so awesome. See it wasn't so hard telling ghost stories.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
So if anybody feels urged, come on up.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
I'll share with everybody. So we're just talking about opening
up the topic of ghost pets, or ghost animals or
ghost dolls. You know, if anybody's ever had those happen before.
We've had people tell us on the podcast some stories.
I know myself. I remember when we moved into the
house where in now and we had our dog that

(24:08):
was probably.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Which was probably like ten years.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Old or whatever. It was a newer house and.

Speaker 9 (24:18):
I was sitting on the couch and it was dusk,
so there was a little bit of sunlight. It's like September.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
And the back curtain off the kitchen, off the deck.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
The curtain was raised.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Actually there wasn't really much of a curtain, so it
was raised so you could see anybody that would be.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Like walking up on the deck. And I'm sitting there
watching TV.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
And then out of the corner of my eye, I
catched something small at the back of the deck.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Like in Hamming, like a dog, and I'm like, oh
my god, I forgot to let my dog in, you know,
just one of those things. Oh I should litter it.
And then I look and my dog's sitting with me.
And that's that happened a couple of times before. And
the yards all like fenced off, so you know, it
could be a cat made another dog, and people can
kind of shake that off.

Speaker 10 (24:59):
And being But then I found out that the owners
that we bought the house off previously to us taking
possession of the house, they had a little dog that ran.

Speaker 11 (25:09):
Across the highway and got killed like weeks before they
moved out.

Speaker 10 (25:12):
So I always felt that it was their little dog
trying to come back into the house.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
You know, that's my big dog goes story.

Speaker 9 (25:22):
But I always just felt because it was just so
random on the corner of my eye, and see it
fleeting a few times, say, and always on the same spot,
like as if your.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Dog's kinda want to let you know they want to
come back in. But like I said, my dog was
with me, right, And that's my dog's story. My dog
goes story, not my dog.

Speaker 11 (25:43):
And then after my dog did pass, we have certain
spots on the floor that she used to lay, you know, liver,
and I'd be sitting there again a few weeks after
she passed, and I would hear the creeks like where
she would lay and end get up, and she was
a ready to pass.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
So yeah, so I think they're alway with you. Welcome,
Nothing like putting shoppers on the spot.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
No fall.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
You got a ghost story? Do you believe in ghosts?

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Do you want to tell a ghost story? I love
a good what's that? I don't have a good folk story.
They're all good ghost stories, honey, They're all good. So
do you open it by no pressure? Okay?

Speaker 11 (26:32):
Sure?

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (26:34):

So yeah, definitely please share.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
I work security.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
So I was working downtown at Waterfronts at an old building.
It's abandoned right now, but we're trying to renovate it
in that and my partner's more the one into seeing stuff,
not me or whatever. So but I was all alone
that that night or whatever, and I heard people going
up the stairs and there's no one else in the building,
and so I called him, like, babe, to stop up

(27:26):
with this building. He's like, what's up? And so I'm
eating my dinner. He's like to someone behind you, I'm
like ores, and I look and because I'm eating my
sandwich and so he can send stuff or whatever. So
he said something by the door that I didn't see,
and so I got up to go walk around and
as I turn around there a ghost shadow came across
the doorway, and I'm like, nope, I'm out, I'm gone, goodbye.
And I wanted to the building. I don't want to

(27:46):
go back in, and I want to go back in.
I know it's my job. I don't want to go
back in. I like reading about it and I love
listening to you, I don't like experiencing it.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
So I freaked out.

Speaker 7 (27:54):
He's like, no, no, it's all good. It's all good.
It's all good, and I didn't feel anything bad. But
I was admiring the architecture of the building because I
really loved it. So I'm wondering if maybe that had
something to do.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
With it, and you were probably you know, you probably weren't.
I can see that, like if you were just not
thinking of anything but concentrating on the art.

Speaker 7 (28:14):
That the art, like the building, how it was built,
the structure, that the beams, and it had the old
in the basement there it had like the old steam
you put the coals in, and that it was just beautiful.
So I was loving the Sure everything you appreciated it,
That's what he was saying. I think they liked that
you appreciated it. And most security guards are not like me.
I'm they just do their job and that's it. I'm like, well,

(28:37):
this is so cool and I like to move around
a lot, and I still I would like to go back,
and I'm like no, no, no, I wouldn't go together.
They really do. Yeah, but I've just never I'm not
really one that's open like that usually, so it was
very new for me. I was like, oh, yeah, thanks
for sure. Yeah that was good.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
That was a great story.

Speaker 7 (28:56):
That's good. Yeah, it wasn't anything spooky spooky, but yeah,
you as well. Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
All right, thanks for promming.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Oh yes, thanks quite meeting you is ut? Oh all
so sweet. See that's so bad to the person. I've
never bad. I'm not drunk. I'm sober right now. That's
probably the difference, so I figure, yeah, but there's still
God that's five o'clock summer
