Your podcast host of gloves off with TBG. If you
didn't know. TBG stands for True Bad Girls, which is
also my nonprofit organization. We have a few things for
you guys today. First up, we have the famous Shine
Bosley himself. He is a photographer and also has a

(04:36):
nonprofit organization, Feed the Streets.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Can hear me?

Speaker 6 (04:47):
Go ahead, good, good, cool cool.

Speaker 7 (04:49):
Appreciate y'all for having me on your boy bids man
back into Saint Louis. Man Feed the Streets big movement
going on eight years, started in Colorado, brought it back
to Saint Louis last this year of July, and we're
coming up on one year and saying it was serving
the community in the unhoused residents that occupied.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
Okay, okay, all right now, So how did you get
started with your photography, sir?

Speaker 7 (05:16):
So I graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver in
twenty twenty two, and I was just super bored with
what I was doing. I got my bachelor's degree in
music business and I just wanted to explore some more
and being a creative being outside in the music realm
that you're surrounded by a lot of moments. Nobody was
capturing these moments, and it was great to be a
part of the moments. But I wanted to remember the

(05:37):
moments going forward. So that summer I picked up a
camera started shooting some events. I got to shoot Rolling
Loud that summer twenty twenty two for de Leon Tequila
out there in Miami, and ever since then, the All
Star Game had just been booming, booming, will.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Work Okay, now, okay, okay, okay, Now that's what's some end.
Who do you have with you, sir?

Speaker 6 (05:57):
I got my.

Speaker 7 (05:58):
Girl Christina with me. She is a key pivotal piece
of Feed the Streets.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Okay, okay, yeah, Hi, I'm Christina.

Speaker 8 (06:07):
So I do a lot of the communication work with
Feed the Streets, a lot of the persons facing work,
just making sure people have what they need when they
come to our events, whether that's setting up, breaking down,
making sure everybody knows what locations we're going to, as
far as passing off the food.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
So make sure y'all speaking directly into the mint, y'all
can adjust it so the people can't hear y'all, okay,
and a recap if you couldn't hear me because I
had my phone plugged up.

Speaker 9 (06:38):
Here.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
We are sitting here with mister Sean Bosley, who is
a photographer and also has a nonprofit organization Feed the Streets.
They make sure hundreds of families eat every month. They
found now. Also, my lovely beautiful cousin Justice LaRue blessed

(07:00):
us with her presence today. You guys may know her
from many other platforms, really the original Real Sto News.
She hosts what is It open Mic? She hosts open
Mic in the Grove every other Sunday, every last Sunday,
every last Sunday of the mom I'm sorry. She also sings, sings,

(07:22):
models number of things, and that is my cousin. How
you doing, Boom, I'm good. We're able to catch you
today on this rainy, rainy Saturday. Yeah. Yes, my other
two co hosts. The Lovely Cookie is on a cruise

(07:43):
right now, enjoying some beautiful weather, and the Beautiful CC
is walking through the door ass we speak. I already
got you set up, Boom, got your blue on her
and all.

Speaker 10 (07:56):
I'm okay.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
We're gonna do a recap this you guys. This is
my co host, my god sister Ceci. This is Sean Bosley.
He's a photographer and he also has a nonprofit organization,
Feed the Streets, Okay, And this is one of his
assistants that helps him out with the nonprofit. And this
is my cousin. I think you met her before the

(08:17):
Lovely Justice LaRue. Yeah, you remember Justice. She did our
very first interview on the original Real STL News. Hey guy,
hey cousin.

Speaker 11 (08:26):
Ye yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
So we may have a few other guests come later
in the show, but you know, this rain is something else.
It stops a whole lot, you know. So Shine, tell
us a little bit more about your Feed the Streets
where due. I know for a many of y'all was
just picking different locations where you're start off there. But

(08:51):
lately y'all been sticking with the West Side Warehouse on Hamilton.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
We've been holding where else west down going on a
year now. Love the area over there.

Speaker 7 (09:02):
I actually teach over there, soda and shout out to
Tigers music business over there as well as Glee and photography.
But I love the community over there, the community that
has been very supportive.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Shout out to Shmian.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
Car Cupboard over there as well for showing a lot
of love. But we really have been focused on the
west side just because if we can't start in our
own back yard, it makes no sense start on the
east side, the south side of the north side. Let's
start where we are first, make that impact and expand out.
And we've been able to expand out from the last
three months, really focusing on not only the west Side,
but downtown over by the Federal Building as well as

(09:39):
Salama's Market and a few other locations. So we're really
looking to partner with more organizations as well as businesses
that want to see the work done and provide the opportunity.
There's a lot of good work happening out there. Y'all
got a good work.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
So about how many families do you think y'all feed monthly?

Speaker 7 (10:01):
So our goal every month is at least to at
least two hundred bags, and.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
We get that's dope, that's dope.

Speaker 7 (10:08):
We're looking to expand coming up on the one year,
so you'll start seeing more more numbers from us go
through from the four to five hundred rain okay, and
then our goal the next two years to get a
facility and get down to at least one thousand a month.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Okay, that's what's from what I'm talking about. That's what
I'm time because I know we we've been in contact
for years and we try to collapse the organizations sometimes
that day just be all but you know, we get
it together.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
We're gonna get right here.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
We don't.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
Yeah, we'll get it together.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
Y'all hearing it live. We're doing it right.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
That's right. We're gonna do it right this year. Now,
y'all know how I do. You know, we gotta talk
about what's going on for the month of May. Y'all
sing all Rock in my purple because May is sloop.
It's a wordeness month, and purple is the color for loopis.
So normally every mad Our rock purple. A little bit
of purple in my her. If you don't know, yes,

(11:01):
I have disconnected tissue LOOPIS. It's a different form of
LOOPIS that really affects your joints and muscles. I was
diagnosed in twenty seventeen. This is something I've been dealing
with for a few years now. You know, Hey, it's
life it's so many different forms, so loopings out there
and they really don't know.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
What it is.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
It's just an autoimmune illness. Your body fights your good
bacteria and bad bacteria in your body, you know. And
I've been in healthcare for sixteen years, so it affects
my joints and muscles. So I don't too much do
seeing they work anymore. I just passed medicine draw blood.

(11:44):
But yeah, May It's also mentor a wordness month, which
is so real. You know, everybody needs somebody to talk to.
If you see somebody spiraling out of control, you know,
going through a lot, just listen, talk to them, you
know what I'm saying, Try to top to them, because baby,
our mental is everything. Once we lose that, it's a rap,

(12:06):
you know what I'm saying. So mental mental health is
very very serious. Okay, So just wanted to roll that
by you. Now I missed justice. What you got going on? Boom?

Speaker 12 (12:19):
Okay, let's see where I start. Uh Wednesday, I'm going
to be judging at Fresh Produce. Uh So artists. If
you're out there, you're looking for a networking party, it
is a producer's battle. They have six producers that come

(12:40):
out and they just rock the stage. It is a
great networking event. It's with Matt and the Cruze. We're
from a suburban pro studios and and they have a
great prize. It's a great networking event if you look.
If you're an artist you're looking for some some beats,
you can go there. If you're an artist looking to

(13:01):
network with other artists, it's a great spot. I put
my whole heart into going into this event because I
will fly from California to go to Fresh Produce and
fly back home. So it's it's a great event. They've
been doing it for years. It is at Atomic by
Jemo Uh and in the Growth. It's every First Wednesday,

(13:24):
and then they come back every six months for the
for the champion battle. So all of the champions come
back and they rock it out. It's a great event.
I will be judging this this month. I'm excited. So
you know, pull up. Doors open at eight, show starts
at nine. It is a free event, so pull up.

(13:45):
You know, even if you're not an artist and you're
just looking for a good time. It's some great music.
Pull up. I have just finished filming a music video.
It's not my song, but I was involved in it.
It was it was fun. It was a great, great experience.
Shout out to Trino.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (14:02):
He has a single called two Face, and it was
it was kind of ironic because my album is called
two Face. So I had I had a lot of fun.
I'm excited to uh for it to come out. Supposed
to come out May sixteenth, so make sure you check
it out. Look him up. His name is Trino and

(14:24):
he got some bags.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
He wouldn't go so with her mother.

Speaker 12 (14:29):
Also, I do have a uh open open mic. It's

getting it.

Speaker 11 (16:24):
I don't got nothing, she don't got nothing.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
I'm ready about that. I don't want to talk about it.
Let's talk about it. Hey, Yeah, y'all know y'all can
always hit the high line and ask a question five one, five, five, nine,
nine one six eight seven. Now let's get into some shit,
you know what I'm saying. So lots of shit that

(16:48):
be going on. It's always something to talk about, like
how did we get her? You know what I'm saying.
I keep hearing gods say that they want a traditional woman.
Let's talk about it, you hear me. But they don't
want to do the traditional things that they're a grandfathers
or great grandfather's, great greats we're doing. Let's talk about it.

(17:09):
You know what I'm saying. Well, because hey, because no
matter what, back in the day, Uncle Joe had the
other lady around the corner two three blocks away and
had the baby with her. The whole nine ain't t
Shirley didn't say shit, but she knew about their whole
around the corner. She knew about their motherfucking kids. But

(17:32):
guess what, Uncle Joe was able to take her a
both house house. Hey, Hey, both houses, Hey bills paid. Hey,
them kids didn't come on around y'all, y'all didn't go
around the month for kids. Uncle Joe knew what to do.
You know what I'm saying, But motherfuckers didn't find Now,
most time, most motherfuckers didn't find out to it. After
Uncle Joe died. Let's talk about it. Sometimes they what

(17:55):
you struck off with some time because talking to the
Mike Counny, they say they be saying they don't hear you. Yeah,
but nah, she like she said, sometimes they knew, but nah,
most of the time, way back when, way back when. Yeah,
you didn't find out after Uncle Joe passed, you know

(18:16):
what I'm saying. And then them kids popped up like
I'm his daughter, I'm here son, like what the fuck?
And Auntie Shirley be sitting over there like.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Yeah, sometimes playing together.

Speaker 13 (18:27):
Yay, that part. All his kids had to be raised together.

Speaker 5 (18:35):
So yeah, not the same time, you right, And it happens.

Speaker 7 (18:47):
It happens. But you're talking about traditional and that. I
think it's just the times. The times have changed.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
In the standards. You know what I'm saying. The standard
has changed. And you know, I'm the youngster at ten, I.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
Gots uh seven sisters, uh.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
And at the end of the day, I think.

Speaker 7 (19:08):
A traditional woman is a woman that does exactly what
you're supposed to do.

Speaker 6 (19:12):
And that's the same thing a man's supposed to do,
and that's a partner.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
Okay, okay, okay, what you think is lady? What you think?

Speaker 11 (19:21):
Damn?

Speaker 5 (19:22):
I'm saying because you know, they want to know, they
want to know how did we get here? You know
what I'm saying. I seen a guy the other day
that on social media. He was asking, uh, since when
did it become normal for women to be so quick
to call guys bitch ass niggas? Like how did we
get here? When y'all continuously call us bitches and hoes?

(19:44):
I'm just saying. I'm just saying, you know, you, if
you acting like a bitch, we're gonna call you out
like a bitch, You a bitch ass nigga. I'm saying
what you think?

Speaker 12 (19:55):
Justice Uh, I definitely don't condone it. However, I guess
depending on how you raise, depending on the type of
traumas that you've been through and your level of vocabulary,
you can be upset with somebody and you can still
say something to someone through frustration. So if that is
your choice of words, it just sounds like there's pain

(20:17):
behind it. To me, there sounds like there there's a
level of communication that needs to be worked on by
both parties. Because unless someone is just really being completely disrespectful,
that anger and that frustration came from somewhere. So I
feel like if it came from if if you really
worked on the root cause of why they're here, why

(20:39):
they were in that space right then and there, and
and have a level of respect, you know, any of
my relationships that I've been in just from my experience
of course, you know, being upset with someone, I try
to talk it out. So I don't like arguing and
I don't like all that negativity. So like, if it
gets to a point to where I feel like that,

(21:00):
that's how I'm gonna lash out at you.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
I walk away, Okay.

Speaker 12 (21:03):
So I'll like go take a smoke. I'll go, you know,
go do something. Self cares is number one in my life.
Self care is life to me. You're right, So, I
mean I've seen it happen, you know, And like I said,
I don't condone it, but I do understand. I guess
how some people can get there. It's just it's it's

(21:25):
always better ways. It's always better ways.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
It's my fan and I kind of rob Tyl Whitman
CC from the last comment, I'm sorry, but what's your name? Again, Christina, Well,
how you think we got here? Christina to this point.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
I definitely agree.

Speaker 8 (21:42):
It was just said, I think a lot of you know,
what people express or how they come off is based
on what they know and what they've been.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Through in the past.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
And I actually have a background.

Speaker 8 (21:53):
In mental health and so a lot of these conversations
with things I'm thinking about in school a lot of
the time. But I just think it's it's just a
matter of how people, what people see, what they're around.
And I think a key to kind of breaking out
of that mentality of maybe being super aggressive or feeling
like you have to fight with your words is just

(22:14):
surrounding yourself with like a different experience, you know.

Speaker 10 (22:19):
I think that's that's kind of what it takes.

Speaker 6 (22:21):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
For so definitely a lot of associations. Who you hang
around is the big thing. And teaching high schoolers nowadays,
they're this language, these kids so aggressive towards each other.
And I tell them all the time, I said, I
don't know how y'all have friends because the way y'all
talk to each other. But at the end of the day,
I try to read structure their thinking and let them

(22:44):
know you don't want to be talked to this way.
So I think you should better, you know, change a
language up a little bit, because what.

Speaker 6 (22:50):
You're putting out is exactly what you're receiving.

Speaker 7 (22:53):
Both of that's not okay. Both of that's not okay.
Let's start there. Just because you hear it at home
doesn't mean that's what's gonna happen going forward.

Speaker 13 (23:00):
So now, the vocabulary of bitch ass niggas to call
a man is very disrespectful to me for a man, ma'am. Oh,

(23:20):
So for me, if you have to go there for
to call a man that a man that you were
involved with, a man that you have feelings for, a
man that you dealing with. I don't care how angry
you get, it shouldn't be said period. That's just lashing
out to make a man mad or whatever.

Speaker 11 (23:42):
It still shouldn't be said to me.

Speaker 13 (23:44):
That's just just r I calling me a bitch for
me to call you a bitch ass nigga, it's not.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
Yeah, but at that point, where do we go from there?

Speaker 7 (23:52):
Okay, we both said that we both are w Okay,
those are words now what cause unless we you know,
which is never okay to But unless we're fighting about
it exactly, So we just continue in this toxic trade
of Okay, now I'm a bit chazz nigga, you a bitch.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
That's just what we are going forward now comfortable. You
never know what environment might.

Speaker 11 (24:18):
It's gonna continue the pattern. So why continue that?

Speaker 6 (24:21):
Parent?

Speaker 13 (24:22):
We're not gonna do those words to each other so
it won't linger wrong. Now, why you keep addressing me
because you wanted me to be honest?

Speaker 11 (24:32):
Yeah, because you always use it.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
Well, be chance nigga, I know that that is mama
for a lot chan if they acting like a chance.

Speaker 11 (24:42):
The anger anger, I guess.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
I'm always angry.

Speaker 13 (24:48):
Yeah, hell yeaht people hurt, hurt like this hurts.

Speaker 7 (24:55):
Yeah, and you know that's what's gonna get us dudes.
Yeah at that point, Yeah.

Speaker 11 (24:59):
Because the a dude want to get Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:03):
And they know we're going down for that.

Speaker 7 (25:04):
So it's like at the ultimate end, how far do
you wanted to go?

Speaker 6 (25:08):
Because for us, we're going to jail about it.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
A lot of us we are too, though. Yeah, yeah,
you're pretty much we're gonna But.

Speaker 11 (25:20):
I'm not gonna push you.

Speaker 13 (25:21):
I mean because if you call me, if a man
called me a bitch, depending on what situation we're in.
It depends because if he got me on my back
and his exact my throat, do his.

Speaker 12 (25:34):
Bitch, I'm not this conversation.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
You'll be old enough for the conversation. I'm like, I mean, so, yeah,
there is times we like to be called bitch. So
you know what I'm saying. I get what they're saying.
How did we get here? So what if I'm on
top and I got my hand around his neck? Can
I call him be chancing to get in communications? I'm

(26:02):
just saying, y'all think all in five one, five, five, nine, nine,
one six eight seven, how did we get hurt?

Speaker 13 (26:10):
He might could be a bit, but not a bitch
ass nigg Okay, okay, that's the difference at Kings.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
Don't get me wrong. We all likeing, but we do
y'all a lot of bitch ass niggas at the same time.

Speaker 11 (26:25):
Lord, I don't know, we got a lot of it.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
We got a lot of daddies too, We got we
got a lot of daddies too. You know what I'm saying.
I like to call him daddy. Nah, but for real though,
real ship, I mean I get that. You know that
that is disrespectful to call a man that. But you know,
why is it that they so quick to call females bitches?

(26:48):
Host email the music from way back when you know
what I'm saying, n w A, it was so easy
for them to do it, but soon as it come
out our off. It's a problem y'all not treating us
like queen, like traditional women. So why do we still
continue to acting?

Speaker 13 (27:03):
Well, some women don't treat themself like that. Okay, they
treat themselves like bitches and hose and that.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
Hard, ain't it?

Speaker 5 (27:12):
But what's wrong with being a hole? If that's what
you want to be, Ain't nothing wrong with it? And
what Nelly say, Horn was pool until a real hole
came out. Now sexy Red out here everybody like ew
if now she not for the kids and and the
young girls, look Kim now on one for us e man,

(27:33):
we were still popping our ass pop pussy the same way.
So again, how do we get here? Why so many
one that hat on sexy Red? She ain't saying ship.
There ain't no hoe out here doing anyway. We all
are here, everybody lobbing on the bobs and the whole nine.
You know what I'm saying so and popping them coochie

(27:54):
every hour hair selling the pussy you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 13 (27:59):
She said, you ain't gotta sell it, but if you're
getting something or some gift or something, that's the same thing.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
I'm glad. I'm glad, she said that. I'm sad. She
said that, though, because what defines you selling or are
not selling? If you're not a car girl like straight
car girl, or you not walking down the streets selling it.

(28:28):
What defines you not selling it? Only because you got
a main nigga that you fuck with? Because come on
now for to he paying for it? To thank you CC,
because living out just hit me out. Y'all, ladies at
the table. What's the first thing that we do when
we get mad at our nigga they don't do something

(28:48):
that we want them to do or then buy us
whatever we ask for. What's the first thing? Well, I
ain't gonna say we are, but most women do. What's
the first thing you think most women do for us? Sex?
What they got you? You do? If I wanna funk,
I'm a fun but I'm just saying most women what
we do, though, we ain't gonna give them no pussy,
right hum? We ain't gonna give them. No, we ain't

(29:11):
gonna give them no aj right no, So so you
right now, I'm with hell Sex because that man didn't
do something that you wanted him to do. Tell my husband, no, No,
I'm just saying it ain't about being married. I'm just period.
Have you ever any guy? Have you ever? They ain't
getting no pussy. I ain't gonna get no exactly we
all have done. They ain't getting no.

Speaker 14 (29:34):
A jint A is awesome Johnson ladies, Oh God, yeah,
awesome jobs.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
So we ain't gonna give y'all no awesome job. Now
have you ever did it?

Speaker 11 (29:50):
Have you ever with hell I'm not.

Speaker 5 (29:55):
She have not with hell sex for you know, various
reasons or whatever.

Speaker 13 (29:59):
But most do they do if they don't get what
they want?

Speaker 5 (30:05):
Y'all have yep?

Speaker 12 (30:07):
I haven't per like, I haven't said that you can't
get it because I'm upset or something like that. With me,
it's more about connection. So if after consistency of missing
the point or missing the ball, falling behind of the
things that you used to do or that you should

(30:27):
do as my partner, then I start to lose interest.
But to actually say, I'm just not gonna give it
to you because I'm mad. I can't say I've done that,
So it's more.

Speaker 11 (30:38):
Because you're mad.

Speaker 13 (30:39):
It's just because, like you said, you stop doing the
things that you've been doing, or you then cut back
and slacked up, So I'm gonna slack up too.

Speaker 7 (30:48):
Yeah, And I think as a guy that could go
back to the original question the traditional woman and all this.

Speaker 6 (30:54):
Men will probably do that if they feel like.

Speaker 7 (30:56):
The woman isn't doing what she needs to do as
far as the household, because as we got a lot
of different stresses and a lot of different things in
that relationship. And men aren't always tired, y'all. We're not
always just tired. Sometimes we're just tired of what you're
not doing. We're not going to argue about it because,
like I've told my leg on the time, we are
not cant complain about everything.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
We can't complain about everything.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
We both be too complaining people, and that's not how
problems get solved.

Speaker 13 (31:22):
But you can discuss, we can discuss, You can discuss
what your issue is so you can fix it.

Speaker 7 (31:27):
But there's a time and place when to discuss exactly.
Let's discuss after we made it through this problem. Let's reflect. Yes,
I like to reflect, discuss discussing.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
We're focusing too much on the issue.

Speaker 7 (31:39):
Let's reflect after we made it through, because then you
focusing on why we got this problem instead of how
do we get.

Speaker 5 (31:44):
Through the problem. Okay, I see that. I can see that. Hey,
y'all taping Colin if you want to voice your opinion
about this subject. Five one, five, five, nine, nine, one
six eight seven.

Speaker 11 (31:55):
To Cargo, that n't for that.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
Yeah, if you see me live, why would you be
trying to call me through messag Jamaica makes sense they
might not see like straight.

Speaker 12 (32:04):
Up she was on the computer.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Oh yeah, that's right man too. But I'm just saying,
even when people are relationships and they partner to get
called cheating, they might not leave them, but they're like, ah,
you fucked that bitch. I ain't giving you no pussy
or I ain't give you no AJ but you ain't.

Speaker 11 (32:22):
Leaving for the moment. Yeah, they're upset.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
And guess what and the same bitch he fucked or
got stuffed up by he going right back over there.
Because most men, well, I'm gonna ask this man, how
often do you need to have six sir? How often. Look, look, look,
all cameras on you, all cameras on you.

Speaker 6 (32:45):
I think we know the answer. Real talk though, real
talk twenty nine. Now, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
Back in the day, you know, when we first met,
it was at about side, it was young college days.
But I would say in a week, five and that's
that's five out of seven, that's every day. Just being consistent, right,
and being consistent because once, of course, to be motive right,
you can some time.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
I'm doing one day.

Speaker 6 (33:20):
Myself.

Speaker 7 (33:20):
I'm still in school, got a lot of business that
I run, I still got a band, new baby.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (33:28):
You know what I'm saying, folks, be tired.

Speaker 7 (33:30):
But also before that, whenever you know we're available, let's
get cracking. But also I was one of the people
that have to do it and go places. We're not
gonna keep doing.

Speaker 6 (33:39):
It at the house.

Speaker 11 (33:41):
Yeah, let's go over here.

Speaker 7 (33:46):
Don't see something in another country or something. I can
do it anywhere.

Speaker 6 (33:50):
Now I've got to keep.

Speaker 11 (33:52):
Doing it at the same party.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
Set, okay, ship, Okay, say we're going to friends. Baby,
I'm gonna hit that pussy in France.

Speaker 6 (34:09):
Out of you already want to go you already outside. Yeah,
both excited experience. It's gonna happen. Okay in the week
you living life, you know what happens happened.

Speaker 11 (34:19):
It's don't get that mother stand up? Hey, no long
as long.

Speaker 6 (34:23):

really matter. You're still getting something.

Speaker 7 (34:28):

to talk about this bullshit? I can't call in so

(54:44):

you don't have to state your name. You could call

(55:06):

Speaker 11 (55:11):

Speaker 5 (55:11):
I'm just saying, but yeah, call in and talk your
ship with us. Whatever you got a question to ask
or I want to voice your opinion about some ship.
Well if you want, if you need some advice, you
know what I'm saying. Hey, I'm divorced. Shec is married
her second husband, just as you. You're dating right now?

(55:33):
What's going on?

Speaker 12 (55:34):
I think I want to leave person?

Speaker 5 (55:36):
No, okay, okay, because you know some people just be like, uh,
how the fuck they're gonna give some advice? And she
ain't got no nigga or she divorced. Yeah, you got
a little bit of everything going on. You you dating?
What you got going on? No single? Okay, Okay, we
have a lot of open mind. You said I'm on

(55:58):
there on my second Oh yeah yeah yeah. Now I
ain't saying I want saying second husband, Like she just
you know, divorced and didn't remarry. No, she she's a
widow and so from her first husband. But she found
love again. You know, love is love.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
Love is love.

Speaker 5 (56:14):
Get that, you know, but again.

Speaker 4 (56:18):
Love.

Speaker 5 (56:19):
You know, we don't he out for love, y'all. Again,
Go get her to say no.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
Family.

Speaker 5 (56:28):
It's like, how did we get to the point that
we're in with family? You know what I'm saying Certain
family members, Like you know, at my grandmother house, it
used to be about fifteen of us. You know what
I'm saying that everybody on pal That's right, everybody out. Yeah,
everybody in that pallet was mattress, a blood tallent and
then you got a sheet. Yeah, make you a little

(56:53):
and the sheet it works. Hey for real, man, you
had fun on them, like fifteen of us all over house.
You know what I'm saying. Family reunions that was normal
that up.

Speaker 3 (57:10):
Years.

Speaker 5 (57:10):
This is your first one after twenty.

Speaker 13 (57:12):
Five years and we had a Davis family reunion and years.
That's I'm so thankful. We got one coming up in June.

Speaker 5 (57:19):
We we we we haven't had a real family reunion.

Speaker 12 (57:25):
Yeah, it's wed the last one I remember it was
at the park over there.

Speaker 5 (57:31):
No, it was actually we was we was at the
hall first. I think if a Taylor where we had
a fish fri on a Friday. Yeah, yeah, and we
we did go to a park like this Sunday. I'm
trying to think what park was that one?

Speaker 12 (57:49):
It was the County right with the lake older every
by the is it the Wilford office and the ald these.

Speaker 5 (57:57):
Is it Chambers And about to say, my must have
been down Chambers somewhere. Yeah, okay, but yeah, but I mean,
but it's not normal anymore. When the last time y'all
had a family reunion two years ten, oh shit, oh wow,
I mean that's what I'm saying. How did we get here?
Like families are so difty and separated these days? You know,

(58:19):
your cousins that you grew up with and as brother
and sisters, because we all was all stayed at green
House at some point, you know what I'm saying. Together
you have five different families in a two bedroom, three
bedroom type shit. But we was happy, you know what
I'm saying. Now, twenty thirty years later, most of us

(58:41):
don't even talk to each other, Like how did we
get here? You know what I'm saying, I'm talking about
beefing to the point like, man, fuck the motherfucker.

Speaker 6 (58:47):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (58:48):
When and when I see her or see him on site.

Speaker 13 (58:51):
It's like this, Na, no, not in minds. We ain't
doing all that fighting shit. Nah, that ain't worth that
to be mad. But I don't understand why you're even mad.
As my grandma played that ship. Now she a Gemini,
she'll be mad. You know, we still family at the

(59:13):
end of.

Speaker 5 (59:13):
The day, and that's I snacked the ship out of
you and still be family. Yeah, I'm just saying real talk.

Speaker 7 (59:21):
What's different is like I said, my family. You asked
about family reunions. I grew up adopted out here, so
you know, really grew up adopted Saint Charles Area.

Speaker 6 (59:31):
Met my people when I was eighteen graduating high school.

Speaker 7 (59:35):
But my folks and my people is one of the
biggest families in single was the Bills slash Bosles, and
so everybody know Bill Lee.

Speaker 6 (59:44):
They went to school, so then ran they ran Maple,
They ran a lot of things.

Speaker 7 (59:48):
We was in apartment buildings all the way up through
the nineties. Okay, and Rabbit and everybody. We got back
to it. But I think what's going on now is
you have these dynamics because you seen the test of
the real family.

Speaker 6 (01:00:02):
The matriarchs are gone, pages they gone, yes, And the thing.

Speaker 7 (01:00:07):
Is folks had so much resentment towards them, and it
was not even the resentment. But that's going back to
your original conversation that you touched on was mental health.

Speaker 6 (01:00:17):
And when these folks passed away. My people passed away.

Speaker 7 (01:00:20):
My mama passed away twenty twenty, and my grandaddy passed
away in December twenty twenty.

Speaker 6 (01:00:26):
Right in the beginning of COVID.

Speaker 7 (01:00:28):
My sister and I hear we're both part of historical
black fratorneys and sororities.

Speaker 6 (01:00:32):
On the Sigma esus Zata. I was just.

Speaker 7 (01:00:37):
And literally it was just one of those things where
you had everybody gone, and you know services back then
was thirty minutes because everybody had the service, you have
no more than thirty people in the hall. So you
had these dynamics that were literally unfolding in the public.
And then for me, I seen that my mama passed
away on Facebook and because I was in Colorado story Colorado,

(01:01:01):
went to.

Speaker 6 (01:01:01):
School and do with my music business.

Speaker 7 (01:01:03):
But long story short, social media is the difference because
social media allows us too much into everybody.

Speaker 6 (01:01:09):
You didn't have all that back then. Growing up. You
just know, you go in to your grandma house or
you stay in there. We ain't no conversation.

Speaker 7 (01:01:16):
And then what happened at the schools was hell, I
may not mess with you at home, but it's thirteen
of us. At least in my family. You got cousin
all through this school. You're not messing with one.

Speaker 6 (01:01:27):
You got a school on you. So that's the difference.
Now because those folks and my uncles and them, they
in their fifty sixties. I'm twenty nine, and the dynamics
are people gone, The major ass gone. Our uncles.

Speaker 7 (01:01:42):
I'm not saying they're not stepping up, but everybody's not
in that position where they should be because they happened
so fast, and people are so malleable in the way
that we can only do things in a certain amount
of time. Nobody had to set up and go family
renews one thing like they were till I.

Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
Said about three five years ago.

Speaker 7 (01:02:02):
Everybody's turning back over after COVID and now, okay, let's
get that dynamic. But you never had that dynamic. It
was the calls were calls, but now you want to
link up. We don't really mess with each other like that.
My people from Greenwood, Mississippi, and.

Speaker 13 (01:02:17):
See that's your were Okay, that's your generation. See my generation,
it's always been connectivity, of course. And I understand what
you're saying. You see it five years and I'm like,
five years, it's been going on. I'm fifty, yeah, you know, plus, but.

Speaker 5 (01:02:43):
Fifty plus.

Speaker 11 (01:02:46):
I was supposed to go on for five but you know,
but it's the dynamic of our family was so close knit.

Speaker 13 (01:02:57):
We had family reunion of the Davids family every year
as me growing up, that's all I knew.

Speaker 11 (01:03:05):
And then one it just stops stop.

Speaker 13 (01:03:08):
And now that most of our generation of the Davids
family is gone, it's only a couple of them left,
and it's like, now we supposed to take over, but
we're just now realizing. But it's my generation that's finna

(01:03:33):
take over, and we're finna have a family reunion this year.

Speaker 7 (01:03:38):
And that's the beauty because if you look at when
it is stopped, right when it is stopping, it goes
back to y'all conversation with traditional women.

Speaker 6 (01:03:45):
The value stopped then right.

Speaker 7 (01:03:47):
The effort stopped then because we didn't realize and now
you're catching up, and then we had COVID.

Speaker 6 (01:03:52):
Everybody was too self inflicting.

Speaker 11 (01:03:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:03:54):
So now, and I say five years.

Speaker 7 (01:03:57):
Only in the sense of I know my re unions
and we have Chicago, we big you know what I'm saying,
and it goes back decades. The reunion's been happening, But
I say, the involvement into the value of family just
began probably the last three to five years, because before
that we were just participants. Now we didn't recognize that

(01:04:17):
our value is Oh wait, we may be this age
twenty five to forty, but we have this impact on
ten to fifteen. Who's really as we see now these
y ns are struggling, So it's not really off I'm
twenty nine, but it's also were looking at our adults,

(01:04:38):
like y'all just realizing too when we realize it it's
three years ago, but we're still younger, so we can
still you know, make a little direction, have some influence,
as y'all would say. But at the end of the day,
our main matriarchs ain't there and the adults ain't stepped up.
So now you got folks like I said, I'm gonna
be a dean next year.

Speaker 5 (01:04:58):
So it's you got who a dean?

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:05:06):
I'm talking about black man. That's what I was talking about.

Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
Black what.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
So?

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (01:05:15):
What do you? What's that name?

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
Why?

Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Black men?

Speaker 20 (01:05:22):
Solute?

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
You?

Speaker 6 (01:05:24):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
Hey, you was supposed to be on.

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
That's dope.

Speaker 5 (01:05:33):
And if y'all missed it, this black man just said
at the age of twenty nine, come next year, at thirty,
he would be a dean at what do you know?
What's what?

Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
College is not a college? In middle school?

Speaker 5 (01:05:46):
Middle school?

Speaker 6 (01:05:47):
Okay, middle school is a charter school out in Denver, Colorado.

Speaker 5 (01:05:50):
Okay, oh that's right. You did go back to Denver.

Speaker 6 (01:05:52):
Okay, Denver.

Speaker 7 (01:05:53):
So still working out there, working in the nonprofit sectors,
still working with communities, grammy folks and all different companies.

Speaker 5 (01:06:00):
That's what I'm talking about it. You know, you yo
flowers now, you yo flowers. Now, big shout out to
TVG Cookie. She is on a cruise right now, enjoying
the Miami life for a few days. You know her

(01:06:21):
big family. Speaking of family. Now, now, speaking of family,
Cookie has a big, big family and they do a lot.
So yeah, big shout out to them and y'all be
safe and joy so on and so on in when
you Can Cookie. We wish, we wish we could have
got her on the cellar, Like, but she's in the

(01:06:41):
middle of the ocean right now. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah yeah. He say he got the boy ship.
Look how we got here. Let's get her into the music.
You say, how we got here. Let's get to the music.

Speaker 11 (01:06:59):

Speaker 6 (01:07:00):

Speaker 7 (01:07:01):

Speaker 27 (01:09:12):
Tott point to.

Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
Think about the borrow it wat your period and jeal
I don't think about sorrow.

Speaker 27 (01:09:45):
You know the time is barround to.

Speaker 6 (01:09:48):
Think about the Bira.

Speaker 7 (01:09:52):
Watch your prey time and jel I don't think about
the fire.

Speaker 3 (01:09:57):
You know the time is viral.

Speaker 6 (01:10:01):
Just think about jealousy on my lass.

Speaker 9 (01:10:03):
Hope you see God's character sums in every song A salama,
I like playing on my karate teaching civilization. Foundation is
love only see how to eye Whenever I'll.

Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
Make a come, she don't love me for real.

Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
That's not my ego.

Speaker 9 (01:10:18):
Talking catching myself in cycles. I gotta start moving cautious
to now whin more. I took too many losses people
projecting me homies then double cross them. Family ain't really family.
I'm like fucking I'm focused, like if I bringing results,
saying motherfuckers ain't gonna give trip me based on the
assumptions just because I'm having motion. I don't owe you

(01:10:39):
niggas nothing up to hell and we halfway there. Gotta
keep getting them off because we're getting them in in.
I'm from underneath society, where real niggas live, daddy's shake
on their kids, mama's working two jobs, hit the club weekends,
still don't meet in so we Rob Paul had that
nigga show us his hands.

Speaker 10 (01:10:59):
Couldn't make it in elementary you didn't.

Speaker 9 (01:11:01):
Have hands or some real last friends used to hit
the weekend, not the only time. I still when she
post Coast friends, she's so proud of me now. Ain't
believe it back then. But that's how niggas do you
even with you their friend. I've been the best rapper
for years. Niggas try and pretend I wasn't ignorant enough.
I wasn't following trends. I always been the leader. Ain't

(01:11:23):
nobody holding my hand? Why it is claiming blood which
you're gonna leave for your kids? Only time you see him?
If your mama grabbing weekends? What can I say to him?
He don't know who he is being a bad fathers,
but he ain't never have his Niggas stuck in a
cycle thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
Five fifty years.

Speaker 5 (01:11:40):
We need our ship recycle.

Speaker 9 (01:11:42):
We need a whole fucking clans because we stuck in
the cycle.

Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
Uncle don't know he my uncle blood.

Speaker 3 (01:11:47):
I look just like him.

Speaker 9 (01:11:48):
How many grew up in the church. They never read
the Bible? How many kids go to school, ain't never
learned survival. We called him a cycle that's only good
and baseball just only good in baseball. And we called
in the cycles my uncle did drugs just started addicted,
just like we called in the cycles and that's only
good in baseball.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
Yeah, just think about tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
And I got out my eyes and I was in
the music and then I had to look up, like
that's you. Hey, Hey, that was that was deep wonder.

Speaker 7 (01:12:35):
One, same album, same vibe, searching for Colzure to shout
out the souls of liberty.

Speaker 6 (01:12:41):
For that joint.

Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
Hey, that was nice. I like that.

Speaker 11 (01:12:44):
That was deep.

Speaker 5 (01:12:46):
I don't know he my uncle Bob looked just like him,
like damn it. And that ship, that ship, it happens.
That go back to Uncle Joe being around the corner
the mother kids and ship popping babies and surely like
as long as that nigga come home every night and

(01:13:07):
bills and that's.

Speaker 6 (01:13:08):
All that mattered.

Speaker 7 (01:13:09):
And that's why this song right here, same thing just
was talking about. You know, I always write my music
about what I'm going through. Searching for Closure Too is
about a great album of just me discovering myself, discovering fatherhood,
new family's, new life.

Speaker 6 (01:13:23):
But this song your Love is always just about tapping in.

Speaker 17 (01:13:26):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (01:13:27):
I grew up on Nicki Minaja's Your Love.

Speaker 12 (01:13:30):
Did course real quick.

Speaker 5 (01:13:35):
Going back to what you say about this is about
you searching yourself, you know, in one closure. You know
a lot of people call what's the little baby name?
Y'all know my memory bad and ain't the weed, but
what's the little baby name? They al would say his

(01:13:55):
music is depressing. I told you, yeah. I look at
first a couple of songs when I used to listen
to him on the radio. You know, certain songs, I'm like, damn, yeah,
it's like every song he's singing, I'm like, yeah, it
is a little depressing. But then my brother was like, no, Mama,
you need to really listen to his album. So when
the real princess said listen to the album, I did.

(01:14:17):
And a lot of this shit I relate to, though,
And I was like I could relate to Okay. I'm like, Okay,
his shit ain't depressing. But do you think people call
it depressing because they're not in tune with their true
feelings or they're trying to hide what they're going through?
I think being through.

Speaker 8 (01:14:38):
I feel like, especially in the black community, a lot
of people really listen to music like hip hop and
rap is more of the popular popular genre because people
want to get lit and turn up and and whatever.
But I think when it comes to wrong wave, like
he really is tapping to his wrong emotions and maybe
talking about the emotions we don't always talk about.

Speaker 5 (01:15:01):
I feel you.

Speaker 6 (01:15:02):
I feel that that's real.

Speaker 7 (01:15:03):
And I think this new music man, this new style,
especially ever since My God Triple Extension, those type of
artists that were coming along, it's just more reality rap.
You heard a conscious rap, but you've never heard a
reality rap. Growing up, you had NWA in your face
telling you about, you know, what they were doing and
how they felt, but you never heard about the side
effects of what was going on the effect of that,

(01:15:25):
So you never heard about the mental health of how
it was going into that show knowing you're finna get arrested.
And so we talk about and we outoize songs like
Bobby Brown's you Know Rap with You and all these
things that were classic, but they were classic because that's
how they felt. And this new artist of this new
genre that music like the rod Waves, it might be depressing,

(01:15:45):
but that's how they feel. And so it's kind of
one of those things that let me talk about how
I feel because a lot of people feel.

Speaker 13 (01:15:52):
This way, and a lot of people because that's how
they truly feel. It is what's going on all herd
in the world with a lot of people. And that's
why a lot of people gravitated to it. Yeah, and
him because that's their way of expressing their emotions, and

(01:16:18):
a lot of people. Only the people that can relate
to it is the people that experience it that's going
through I can understand it.

Speaker 5 (01:16:27):
I think it's also because he's a guy, so other
guys like, man, this nigga telling all this and.

Speaker 11 (01:16:36):
Let them know that it's so okay.

Speaker 5 (01:16:40):
Yeah, I mean, but they don't want to see me
and me don't want to seem vulnerable. They don't want
to seem like they are vulnerable like women. Those we
always heard women.

Speaker 13 (01:16:54):
Not men, because there's a lot of men that are
like that. Some were told that they not men. Ain't
supposed to cry? Nah, Why do you think God gave
you your ducks.

Speaker 11 (01:17:08):
While you think you're up.

Speaker 13 (01:17:10):
Everybody got them, so we're supposed to release them. Why
you think when you're in pain you cry. It ain't
just about emotions of a woman. It's emotion of pain.
When you feel pain, I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:17:31):
I can't.

Speaker 13 (01:17:37):
If I'm in pain or any emotion, they gonna come
out of my eyes regardless, and if that means pain.

Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
If I want to and I start crying, you better
get the funk away.

Speaker 9 (01:17:50):
It is what it is.

Speaker 5 (01:17:52):
I'm real, man, I'm working.

Speaker 7 (01:17:54):
On It's all about emotion. It's all about where I'm
coming from. We've seen a lot, I've been through working
on a lot. The positive out ways the negative.

Speaker 6 (01:18:03):
But the negative is.

Speaker 13 (01:18:04):
Still reflective, and those are steps to help you get
to where you trying to be. So you actually, in
your songs are releasing your pain, yes, And I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:18:19):
Understand that release the pain.

Speaker 1 (01:18:22):
You just don't let your pain go.

Speaker 5 (01:18:25):
I want to release the pain, but my releasing pains
smacking motherfucker. And I learned that when I was looking
at it like I learned that when I was looking
at fifteen years you know. But that's what I'm saying.
Mental awareness is real, y'all. It really is fucked up
in the head. She fucked up in the head. You
know what I'm saying. Hey, I know I fucked up

(01:18:47):
in the head like for Hey, but that's why I
keep myself in therapy. Hey, stop thinking, y'all, I can't
go to therapy, Go seek help. Stop talking to your
fake ass friends, your sometime sometimes timing. Sorry, I'm gonna
love up sometime he has nigga you know what I'm saying,
Because motherfucker's gonna tell your business. You ain't gotta worry
about the therapists. That's a motherfucker. You don't know. You

(01:19:09):
mean she do go home and talk to her husband
or he going home and talk to his wife or
husband type you hear me, Hey, they don't fucking know,
but go talk to somebody. Got pro al ready to
fight you all this like he is therapeutic, but it's

(01:19:29):
very therapy. Any type of the smash house and old
fallon that hell bomb to look that motherfucker relieve because
you can do that, or the smash house gdamn is
good stress relievers. But try to keep.

Speaker 13 (01:19:52):
Myself on with therapy because they will also let you
know if you need to see.

Speaker 11 (01:19:58):
A psychiatrist the past there that they came here.

Speaker 5 (01:20:03):
I take enough medicine. It's not about taking medicine.

Speaker 13 (01:20:07):
It is something to balance you out because something could
really be mentally off with you.

Speaker 11 (01:20:13):
And you don't know it and don't want to You
just don't want to accept it.

Speaker 13 (01:20:19):
But at the same time, so if you don't want
to fix yourself and you eventually do something that will
jeopardize your livelihood, then who is to blame?

Speaker 11 (01:20:36):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:20:36):
That's true. But at the same time, if a motherfucker
tell guy that they off a little bit, but if
you take heed to them now. But if you know that,
why not yourself help? I do go the third people
and I still know these tell how the fuck do

(01:21:00):
we get here?

Speaker 13 (01:21:01):
If the therapist telling you to get seek other help
and you not following up with.

Speaker 11 (01:21:07):
