judge in Chicago, Sarah L. Ellis, has ordered all Immigration
enforcement agents involved in Operation Midway Blitz to wear body
cameras and keep them activated during their law enforcement activities.

This directive follows Judge Ellis's profound concern after viewing televised
footage and reports showing agents using teargas and other aggressive
tactics to disperse protesters and journalists in the Chicago area.
The judge emphasized the urban contact, stating We're not on
the border, highlighting the need for stringent protections of constitutional

rights in densely populated communities. Judge Ellis also mandated that
the director of IS's Chicago Field office appear in court
to explain enforcement operations after reports of possible violations of
a previous court order restricting the use of crowd control
