I'm your host as usual, Adam Crowers, and with me
tonight is the defending World Champion. Pat. How are you
doing tonight, sir?

I'm doing well. I'm doing well. How are you?

I'm doing doing great? My friend doing great. You have
second time on the show. Last time we had John,
you were the winning the whole thing, and uh, you're
still You're still riding high? Or is it that?

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Back to the grind as usual both. I'm happy. Waiver
wires are done this week, so the grind becomes a
little different now now it's just lineup grind, dude.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
The people people who are in home home leagues have
no idea what it's like, even if you did the
same amount of home leagues as we do high stakes leagues.
That the waivers are different the fab and there's never
anybody on waivers.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Literally, no, no.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
You just gotta go. Oh, let's go get Isaiah Grond. No,
Isaac Garno has been gone for eight weeks.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
He's been cut by a lot of teams. He's I know, available,
but no one can have them, so okay, correct, correct.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
So yeah, it's it's it's it's interesting, it's fun, it's
it's nice to be done with the grind for a
lot of waivers after this week. Yeah, and uh no
and excited. I'm excited to do this, so to jump
into it. So let's jump into week fourteen year doo
little preview, uh the week coming up here. We'll probably
talk a little bit of waivers as we get through,

(02:27):
uh this a little bit. Not that there's much out there.
You know, there's tricking defenses and kickers and all that stuff. Well,
I go, I should probably ask you carry more than one.
The cool thing about FWC is it's team kicker, which
is awesome. Yeah, because you don't have to carry too.
But do you carry two defenses or two kickers?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Sometimes? Yeah, it depends on the team. Like I was
the smartest guy in like leeg eleven, and I picked
up every forty nine er kicker I could get there.
You go, oh, I'm this is it. They got a
great schedule. At the end, they're going to be kicking
field goals. They're going to be ahead, and then they
turned into a crappy football team and Blackbirdy can't throw

(03:04):
the ball more than four yards down the field. I
had to get off of that train.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah. Plus they end up playing in a snowstorm in Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yes, yeah, so I did some panic waivers on Sunday
morning to get rid of all my shares of those.
But but yeah, like two defenses, yes, kickers generally, No,
it's like, because it's team kicker, Like you said, you
just get what you get and you're like, I'll take it,
you know.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, And that's exactly right, Like I think it's like
the point of having team kicker. The great thing about
it is you don't have to waste a roster spot
come playoff time because you know, there's no for people
who are listening to don't know, there's no waivers once
the playoffs hit. So you generally, in other tournaments you'd
have to carry an extra kicker or an extra defense
just obviously defenses don't get hurt, but kicker can get hurt, right,

(03:54):
And I know, and it's hard, you know, it's hard
to win an overall without a kicker. Pat a b
bag Betoba. Uh. He won the football guys back over
at the FFPC maybe three or four years ago. It's
a mid stakes tournament half a million or a million
up top. A couple of years ago. He had the
final two weeks. He didn't have a kick her he's
still which is incredible tournament.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
But that's why I carry three quarterbacks on most teams now. Yeah,
because last year the team I thought was my best
team had Herbert and Russell Wilson, and Russell Wilson got
contracted out of Denver and stopped starting, and Herbert got
hurt and I literally had no quarterback the last two weeks.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I know, dude, I know it makes you sick. All
that money, like all that money won all them and
you don't know. I mean, looking at it now, you've
got Trevor Lawrence and you've got all these different guys.
There's no freaking it's I'm looking at teams with three
quarterbacks that I have in the playoffs, and I for
comfy normally why do I have three? But then you
look at it like, man, I could probably use another quarterback,

(04:58):
especially William maybe he gets benched the last week of
the year or something.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Great. Yeah, I was looking at it today and I've
got Lamar on two teams and one team. I didn't
pick up quarterback all year. I'm like, screw it. I'm
I'll figure it out eventually. And the team I thought
was so good, I didn't have anybody that was cutable
all these weeks. So I'm rolling with Cooper Rush.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
There you go, big time, baby, let's hurt. That's right,
that's he doesn't have the worst match in the world
this week.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
It's actually pretty good, right right.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
So yeah, so actually we'll get to that college game.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
But let's start.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Let's start tomorrow night. What we got Lions packers again
in the fifth we just had Lions Lions.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Pack Yeah, no weather this time.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
No weather this this time. So we've got Detroit's minus
three and a half as of as of right now,
team team's pretty healthy. You know, you got hopefully a
shootout for us for US fantasy guys. Jordan loves soft
place in your heart obviously somebody last year. But what
do you think of this game coming out here tomorrow night?

(06:05):
Thursday night games, you can get nervous about those.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I so, so the hard part about Thursday night games
for me is not putting guys in my starting lineup
who are on playing on Thursday because you want that
immediate gratification. You're like, wait a minute, it's a primetime game.
He could really go off or get your one point six,
and now you're behind everybody. I think tomorrow is going

(06:30):
to be a shootout, I hope. So no Romeo Dobbs,
So all my Packer shares of read and Craft and
Watson I'm liking, and I got a ton of Gibbs
in Montgomery, So I'm hoping they take the lead and
the Packers have to play catchup.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Right, that would be ideals as well for me. I've
got some Watson that's been and Wicks rodding away on
the bench. But this week with the bye weeks, like,
I think I have a couple that I can slide
him in there and this might be the week and
a shootout without Dobbs and so yeah, I've got I've

(07:10):
got one team I know, a playoff team that's got
two of those receivers that you know what, maybe I'll
just throw them both in there and hopefully one of
them scores ply the other one could do. Yeah, so
exactly what you said, we're looking for a shootout here.
So you're starting all the usual suspects, the Packers receiving core.
I think you can get to Wix, You can get
to Watson if if you have to, and then I
think you're starting to ever everybody else. Right about to

Tucker Craft, I mean, he hasn't been amazing, but I
think you could probably get to get to him too, right.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
He's he's hard to predict, and I have him on
like eighty percent of my teams. Yeah, I've got TJ.
Hockinson on a lot of those teams, so it's like,
all right, one or the other or both. But I
mean Detroit's been tough against tight ends, but they haven't
played a ton of good tight ends. Yeah, so he's

a coin flip honestly, But the rest of them, for sure.
I mean, you're starting Josh Jacobs, You're probably starting any receiver.
Wix is the one you you look at and go
if I got no better options with six teams.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
On it, right, Yeah, and the Tucker Craft, so he
has the second toughest tight end matchup this this week,
but he's you know, am I starting Will Disley over him?
Probably be the chief sucking against tight ends? You know?
Am I starting Giseki maybe I'm trying to I'm trying
to look at the tight endser KT like it's got

a really good matchup this week. I like for him
to bounce back. We'll talk about them, you know, on
to King K'll be back. So yeah, I mean I
think you could get off Craft for sure. Ya.

It depends who you have on your team. I mean,
you know, some teams I'm like, oh he's starting, and
other teams I'm like, maybe a flex you know.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Yeah, yeah, no, totally totally agree. So yeah, cross your
fingers on the same as you. Dude. I like to
get guys in these these Thirstay night games because I'm
just selfish like that. I want to I want to
see Sam play.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah. Well that one Cincinnati Thursday night game, I had
Chase and Lamar and Chase Brown. I had over one
hundred points.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I know, oh, this is.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
A nice way to start. And I looked at my
other teams and I was down nineties. So I'm like, yeah, yeah,
you give you get yep, yep.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
And then who would have thought that Monday night game
freaking last night to Denver And I mean that what
a Denver clear what a banana shootout? That dude I
had a mid stakes team that lost in the Semis
on the second Denver pick six, the second one that's like,
oh really, like that's the way we're gonna go down

thirty points in the defense. Whatever. It was so stupid,
but yeah, I'll do another a million leagues like that.
So all right, Carolina and Philly, this should be a
nice for the Philly. For the Philly guys here getting
a great, great match up Saquon going for you know,
going for the rushing title. This could be a game
that could really put him there. Obviously starting all of

your Eagles in this, in this and then this matchup?
Where are you with the Panthers backfield? You know? So
I didn't get to watch a ton of football on Sunday.
I was actually at the Bills game, so I didn't
get to see a lot of this game. But it
looks like Hubbard gave a little bit of work up
to Jonathan Brooks. Is he crazy? Can Brooks be a

crazy I got six teams on by Can he be
a crazy? Flex player? RB? Two?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
I mean, if it wasn't the Eagles, yes for sure.
I mean, so I guess it's how's this game going
to go? If the Eagles get up twenty one early,
are they going to play Brooks? You know, I have
Hubbard and Brooks on a bunch of teams, and I'm
looking at it. I'm like, it's a terrible matchup for
running backs.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
And Hubbard is succeeding some of the work to Brooks
now and Brooks on the few touches he had looked
really explosive.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
I haven't made my choice there yet, but but I
mean Brooks as a flex with six teams on by,
I could see it, I know.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
And the other thing too, is I mean the bad
luck he comes back, right, he finally gets back and
it's the Kansas City Chiefs defense.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
He's like, all right, never mind, and then Eagles.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
And then Eagles. It's like, okay, yeah, what the heck?
But but yeah, so no, I think you're right. Maybe
he becomes a past catching back in that scenario, in
that type of game. Who knows. Again, you're flipping a coin,
but no strong opinions there. If you can bench him,
I would because of the matchup, because he's splitting carries,

you know, best case, But feeling I kind of like, okay,
like I guess I'm rocking with Feeling again. If the
big week he had last week?

Right?

And another did he have a touchdown? Called back?

Dude? He did and it was a touchdown. Oh I
only had him on I only have him on one
team and he was riding my bench for some two
me shouldn't have been playing. And he looked like the
Minnesota Vikings Adam Feeling to me, and I'm like, yeah,
I might have to play him this week on that
one team for sure.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I'm kind of excited to get those types and listen
to give him credit. We know we've been we've been
bashing him forever, but you know, the quarterback looks like
he could play a little bit now. He looked helped
him out.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
I think, yeah, Bryce Young kind of got it now.
It slowed down for him. I mean I don't I'm
not rostering him, but but I wouldn't shame anyone who
said I got lamar on By. I'm playing Bryce Young
this week right.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Right, And and again we don't really care about Bryce Young
for Bryce Young, for I'm looking to start him. But
it's cake. Can you just forget that's why we like Dalton?
Oh my god, he could get the ball to Deontay
Johnson or Adam Feelin or whatever, the ghost of Deontay Johnson.
I gathered, may he rest in beast, but he.

Got suspended today.

He was on so many of my teams. I know
in three weeks ago, I had a moment and I'm like,
I had to come to Jesus moment and I'm like,
I'm cutting him on every team and I don't care
if it cost me.

I had to come to Jesus moment today and I
couldn't do it. I'm staring at him. I'm like, still,
I dude, I couldn't I just throw invest. He's on
a team drop Do I drop him? Or do I
drop my second defense? And I'm like, let me just
drop him, let me drop my second defense. I can't.

It's terribly so talented, but he's a head case.

So so yeah. So I'm I'm okay with feeling this
week for sure running backs and not so much. And
you're starting all your Eagles that you can get, hopefully
devianta Smid's bag. Goddard's probably out Calcaterra. He's worth a
pick up for sure, because especially if Goddard's on the
I R and he's also I mean, let me see
having my rankings. I mean, I don't love starting, but

he's got a good match up. You could see him
outscoring Noah Gray or Cole Kamatt or Joan Johnson or something.
You know, he's looked decent.

He's talented. Yes, I mean I agree with Elkaterra wine mixer.
I mean if.

The wine mixer, I love it all right. Moving on,
let's talk about Jets Dolphins here Miami minus six and
a half at Miami, some nice weather. Like to see
them kind of get going like they did the last
game there. Jayalen Wado has gotten going a little bit.
A Chan, I mean, a Chan is a guy that
I have absolutely everywhere. The only reason I don't have

more Derrick Henry is because I've got all the A
Chan in the world. I'm perfectly happy with that. And

love looking at that roster. But it's like Hall isn't.

not for a week, man, that team could do some

So if he can get get rolling, But yes, you're
starting Adams, you're starting to get Garrett Wilson. I would
stay with conk Land, he doesn't really do much. And
Rogers I would stay away from him too, but again,
Rogers is a guy. That's another guy. Look, if you've
got two quarterbacks and Rogers your second quarterback, you're probably
picking I would pick up a third.

He's sitting at Russell Wilson. At any moment, he.

Could get benched. He's not getting match. If he gets better,
he's not coming. He's well, he could go on a retreat, right,
that's right. At this point, he's like, screw it, I'll

know I had him on my team. That's second overall. Yeah, Lamar,
And last week I'm like, no, I can't.

I'm not going to have a quarterback.

So yeah, pick up, pick up a third. Even if
it's who I should probably know this, who's the backup
in for the Jets. I don't even know, even even
if you pick him up just just in case, just
so you don't have to get to zero with Rogers.

I can't believe I have no Kate Otten. He's terrible

with Evans, it's like, okay, that's why I have no
Kate Otton.

I guess I got a great matchup. The Raiders suck
against tight is, so you could definitely do wor I
have him as a top ten guy this week.

He probably is. But if they get up too much
and they just start running or throwing screens to the backs.
Ye know, now that they have Evans, that opens up
the backs for so much screens. I mean we saw
Bucky last week.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
They catch so many passes. So you're starting Evans, you're
starting I think I'm starting, and you're starting yeah, Bucky
Irving for sure, top ten back, maybe rust Away, Yeah,
and you're probably starting with Shad White because of the
pass catching ability like as.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
A I mean, he's still played like fifty percent of
the snaps. He just didn't get the ball a lot.
So they get a lead, he'll be in there.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Yep, exactly. So you're starting all those guys, and then
you're definitely starting Hall of Famer Brock Bowers. I want
to get a Hall of Famer Brock Boers T shirt.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Because he's just dude, the best that guy.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
He's so good. He's so good. I've got him on
a couple of teams too. He was the guy that
I got to like if I missed out on all
the elite ones, right, I was like, Okay, I didn't
get an elite guy. Bowers has the upside.

I mean I didn't expect. I mean I expected this
first career, like I knew he'd be good. But right
out of the gate, Devotay Adams was there right now
is gonna get It's just run beautifully for him.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Oh amazed at him. I didn't have him in any leagues.
And then I got in the league with Jason Weiler
and we we took him as our tight end one
because he's like he was hot to trot for him.
And this is when we were in Vegas. So then
I had a draft the next day and I took
him in a draft, and I'm like, holy cow, this
guy's killing it.

Yeah yeah, No, I waited on tight end.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Taysom Hill and TJ. Howkinson are my tight ends.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yeah yeah, And I waited.

Everybody picked a tight end, somebody picked some more tight ends,
and then I'm like, I'll take a tight end now.
But yeah, brock Bowers is the thing.

He's so good, so you're starting him. Jacoby Myers has
been good enough, and he's been he's been fine. The
backfield is garbage, but listen, uh there's some there's uh
what is his.

McCormick, you know, I'm a tent like, I don't know
his name is. I tried to get him on waivers today.

So that's a guy worth putting a waiver bit on here.
Maybe he gets the backfield a mirror Abdullah. I needed
to start him like two weeks ago to get into
the playoffs, and something.

It's unbelievable. It's the best. But but yeah, so I'm
not touching any other I mean, McCormick. If you got
to start him this week, I would see if the
other running backs are still hurt though, right.

he did. If the other guys come back, it's probably
a split like the Kansas City backfield, and then you're
then you got.

Nothing right, right exactly? Then then you're not you.

Know, everybody gets six points yeah.

Yeah, right exactly, and hopefully if you're still if you're
still alive, you have a better roster, a little bit
of a deeper roster.

Than Yeah, you get through the Henry and you can
figure it.

Out right, right exactly, But yeah, and they could be
getting their doors boned off two against Tampa and.

Then yeah, any those garbage time games, anything can happen,
and you're like, well, this guy got twenty two points,
he got all of them at the end of the game.
But who cares, I mean, and it's not when it's
it's any I know.

So maybe that is Abdullah then if you if you
have to do yeah, but I'm definitely not looking to
get them in a lineup for sure. All Right, Saints

defense is nasty, their secondary is awesome. People don't have

there is a chance of a shootout, but I still
would be excited to start them. I would try to
get off Stafford if I could. I know there's a
lot of guys on by.

I would go Winston. Even in a tougher matchup, I
would go kill Williams Gino. Uh, you know, in that range,
I would definitely go with those guys, maybe even Cousins,

to start a running back from the Charger, it would

Like you can consider in a dune day over them.
You can consider like a Jordan Edison in that ragningage,

right have good coordinators. They're not going to give up
easy stuff probably, so right, the Addison against Atlanta sounds
better to me than Worthy against right right Chargers, but

Were supposed to be a great game on the schedule,
but not gonna happen on that But I think this
is a big game for fantasy as far as like,

just sitting there, and I'm not a guy who takes
quarterbacks or tight ends early. And I'm like, all right,

real happy with this team. Lamar is there. I'm taking

Lamar and that turned out really well for sure. I
mean I I what do your tight ends look like?
Goddard got and and Goddard might be out for the
year now I have heard today, which is troubling to me.

And then I picked up Hurts. I got Hurts and
I got Hockinson. You know, I'm okay with that. It's
probably ten points either way, you know, with a chance
at fifteen to twenty from either one of them. I
picked up Tracy like the twelfth or thirteenth round. Yeah,

he's my fourth, you know, third, fourth running back, and
I got Brooks from Carolina. If he you know, if
he gets hot, I'm going to have a problem of
who to play, which was always a much better problem
to have.

Yeah, now, did you draft Heilman or did you pick
him up?

No? I picked him up. Yeah, like most of us,
I spend a lot of money on Tilman in a
lot of leagues. I think I got him in like
thirteen of my twenty three leagues, and I mean I
went to three four hundred dollars on him because I'm like, he's.

The guy, yep, And he is the guy. He's just
he's been hurt, you know, hurt recently, and get healthy
and they'll yeah, they start drowing. He gets uh yeah,
he gets Cincinnati and Miami the last two weeks, Kansas
City since Miami, so he can get healthy for that stretch.

That's a nice stretch.

Yeah, Cincinnati, Miami for sure. So and what does this
team right over all? Right now? Second overall?

Yeah, second overall they've been They've been top five for
about the last eight weeks. It's been fun to watch because, yeah,
I'll have a bad week and I'm like, oh, I'm
probably like fifteenth or something, and then I look and
they're third, and I'm like, oh, other people had bad
weeks with good runners too.

That's the same, right, right, And you know how that
works once you get this deep, it's like it's all
the kind of the same players you know at the top,
and then you know that works. Once it turns over
to the three week race, it'll be the same thing.
The top players will be the top players, and then

play and Scott talked me into it, it was because
