Speaker 1 (01:08):
Hello, Hello, Hello, We welcome to an episode of the
GSMC Wrestling Laia Podcast, brought to you the GSMC Sports Network.
I'm your favorite wrestling fan here Everic Rodriguez Live every
Monday eight pm, Seven Time eleven pm Eastern Time on
the GSMC Sports Network to talk about the greatest thing
in the world, professional wrestling. Hope you guys had an
(01:29):
amazing weekend. Mind was decent, had a pretty decent Monday.
Watched a little bit of the dayton of five hundred.
It was rained out for quite some time. Congratulations to
William Byron in that number twenty four card to get
the job done when he back to back Daytona five hundred,
So that's pretty cool. Also, the NBA All Star Game
and one of the biggest jokes in the world. No,
(01:50):
I'm just kidding, you know what. You know, this whole
new and I'll you know, this will be brief. You know,
this new format of the four teams. You know, it
wasn't bad. It wasn't bad whatsoever. When the stars came
out during the you know, during the entrances and the
you know, the announcing and stuff like that, and then
the moment Kevin Hart came out. You know, if Adam's
(02:12):
over and the NBA commissioner, if you really want people
to take this product seriously, you know, maybe you shouldn't
have it come off like so entertaining, like it's lost
its step.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
It's definitely lost it step.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
For the All Star Game, I remember growing up watching
you know, I watched Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryan go
out of hous so, you know, I remember being a
San Antonio Spurs fan and then I remember seeing Tim
Duncan and Kobe Bryan playing together and it was like
this rare awesome thing. But nowadays, you know, during an offseason,
you know, I think the players have way too much,
(02:44):
They way too much power.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
You know, they want you know, you're good at something.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
You know, good from a nice, good, awesome contract, which
is which is ideal, which is something that you definitely
should shrive for, and you know you do at a
certain spot.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
You know you can get what you want.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
But for the fans, you know, no players really delic
dedicated to the fans, or no players really dedicated a
delicate dedicated to any team anymore, you know, buying a
sports jersey for you know, nowadays, any players you know,
it's it's nerve wracking because you're not too sure two
to three years they're going to be on that same squad,
(03:20):
you know, so you know, all in all, I feel
like they could definitely try to find a way to
revive it. I you know, I thought of you know,
them doing the forward team again.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
I thought that was that. I thought that was very interesting.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
I thought maybe the team that won the NBA Cup
could take on the you know, the final team and
at the wind the people in the winner if the
NBA Cup team winner or whatever, if they win, maybe
they get a you know, spot and playoffs straight up
like WWE Ward or Rumble, where you win one match
and then you're in the you know, in this main
event WrestleMania. I thought that would have been pretty uh,
(03:55):
that would have been pretty interesting. But you know, it
is what it is, you know, as a product, and
I as an entertainment conglomerate NBA I thought it was great.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I thought they did their job.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
If they were you know, entertaining people, it's not too
much about the you know, the competition factor whatsoever anymore.
Then in that case, the you know, they killed it
and all the nags areas out there, all the media,
negative publicity.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Then they can just you know, you know, they could
you know, eat it or whatever, you know what I mean.
But you know, oh no, it was decent. It was
a decent product.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Well, we're here to talk about wrestling. Have a pretty
awesome show for you today. All lined up today, we

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Obviously kind of stemming off.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Of what happened tonight on Monday Night Raw with you know,
Sammy Zan and Kevin Owens. We're gonna go at it again,
which is pretty cool. You know, I definitely love this,
you know, the feud that they you know that they
continue to have on and it's pretty you know, pretty awesome.

thousand and ten percent entertained.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
So yeah, don't be shy, drop your thoughts inside that chat.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
We got smacked Down, we got w w E SmackDown,
we got Vic Joseph on SmackDown. Obviously Joe Tessatory was
you know, he was elsewhere. But I thought Vic Joseph
really did a good job bringing, you know, bringing his
enthusiasm that he has on.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
W w annix t to SmackDown. So I thought that
was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Cody Rhoads comes out, the kicks off, kicks off the show,
talks opponents, you know, in the moment he mentions, you know,
Logan Paul. I thought it was kind of funny how
the fans were. Absolutely they were disgusted. They're disgusted by
this by this megastar, you know, this YouTube star, this
YouTuber that made into professional wrestling. You know, I do
you know, I do like Logan Paul. You know, I'm
(07:39):
not a huge hater, so to speak. I definitely like
the I think he should definitely embrace kind of.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Being a heel.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
But you know, sometimes when he's on Rahs SmackDown and
then he kind of gets the reactions from the fans,
he looks genuinely like shocked, like.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
He looks like, why don't these people like me. You know,
I think the moment he decides to.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Kind of embrace it which she has, which he has,
I definitely think he'll, you know, his career will be
on the right track.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
He could be like one of the best heels in
w WE history if you know, keeps going that way.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
So Cody Rhoads, you know, talking about opponents, Drew McIntyre
comes out, and he was upset that Cody Roads, you know,
basically basically didn't acknowledge the fact that, you know, Drew
McIntyre is the only person that defeated Cody.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Roads since Rhodes made it back to WWE.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
And I think that means something, and I think that's
gonna play into the main event at WrestleMania. I overall,
you know, I see Drew McIntyre coming out of the
elimination chamber because I just see so many other lingering
storylines that are you know, on seth Rawlins's head on
CM PUNK. I think Damian Priest is kind of just
there if you know, for the ride, you know, I
think it's cool and all, and for Johnson as well,
(08:48):
Logan Paul. You know, I think the only thing that
just wouldn't make sense. If Drew McIntyre doesn't win the
elimination chamber, then what you know, so it means, you know,
you have about ten nine weeks to kind of establish
an opponent or a fewn or like an old rivalry
for Drew McIntyre. But at this time, I feel like
it'd be perfect for Drew to take on Cody Roads
(09:08):
because it just seems it.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Just seems fitting. It just seems fitting. And if you know,
if Drew.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
McIntyre actually, if he has enough stuff to defeat Cody
Roads for that WWE Championship, I feel like that would
be I feel like that'd be great.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
I feel like that'd be amazing. So then.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
And then Solo Soakoba comes out, you know, no hed
he arrives, and then Jacob tattoos in the ring saying
that he's gonna get the first of Solo Soakoa family business,
so that that.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Relationship seems like it is on the rocks.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I you know, I kind of like a new I
like the new storyline of possibly maybe Jacob wanting to
you know, throw his hat in the ring, of being
the tribal chief, maybe challenging for that ulafalla and then
you know, maybe him and Solo Sokoba kind of butt
heads down the road.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Maybe I have a match of wrestle Mania.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I definitely think that would be pretty that'd be pretty
cool for both of these superstars. Next we have a
Chelsea Green taking on Nay one in elimination chamber qualifier.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
I thought it was pretty cool how Naomi. She got
a nice win. She got a nice win. It was
pretty damn clean. It was great.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
You know, if you you know, if Chelsea Green the
WWE Women's United States Champion.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Gotta be honest, it kind.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Of made her title, you know, her title run a little,
a little weak, you know, A liverra val Curia as well.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
On on Monday Night, Row was pinned by Bailey, so
Bailey could qualify the w w WE mid Car titles
right now, I you know it's not dead by what's so,
you know, by any means necessary.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
I don't think it's dead at all.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
I don't think it was a mistake that WWE added
too many titles.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I don't think that whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
I think when Oscar comes back, I feel like, you know,
when Becky Lynch comes back, when you know Alexa Bliss
starts rolling a little bit, you know she could become
a competitor as well. It's gonna be great, it's gonna
be okay. And then you have a lot of young
talented NXT the women's stars that are gonna be coming
(11:02):
up too, so you know, just stay patient. But overall,
I feel like it'd be awesome if Naomi Bianca Butler
and Jade Cargo kind of come into the singles wrestlers
kind of thing, like I, you know, I don't like
them as a well I do and I don't, you know,
I feel like ultimately when they first started that World
Women's Tag Team run, it was kind of a mistake
because these are two single stars, two single stars. It
(11:24):
was just a way for Jade to kind of get her,
you know, get her bek wet in terms of you know,
being on WWE, what it means to be a WWE superstar,
the flow, the atmosphere, inside the locker room, and then
you know, inside.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
The square circle.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
So you know, I definitely think that, you know, when
she comes back, she's gonna be She's gonna be bigger,
better and stronger than ever. So can't wait to see
And I definitely think she would be an amazing fit.
She'd be an amazing opponent for Chelsea Green, so it'll
be kind of cool to kind of see her move forward. Next,
we have sammy' zan obviously addressing Kevin Owens, and then
you had Kevin Owens challenging Sammy's ing to a match
(12:02):
at at Elimation.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Chamber, saying, you know, I don't care if you're clear
or not.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
I just want you inside the square, you know, I
just want you inside the ring, you know. So I
feel like Sammy, you know, he feels like Kevin Owens
going after the jugular there. He didn't do it to
make a statement. He did it to try to end
my career, and I kind of agree. I kind of agreed.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Next we have the MotorCity machine Guns defeat lows Garza.
I thought that match was actually pretty damn awesome.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Solasakoba and Jacob Fattoo have a nice little you know,
we'll not really that nice. So looko so Solo Sokoba
telling Tomatunga and Jacob Fattoo is saying that I feel
bad for letting you down, the family down. So let's
GOA when he comes, you know, since he made his
way back to WW, he looks genuine looks pretty genuine
Jacob Fatoo as well as Smatanga. Obviously they look kind
of unimpressed. They don't you know, I.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Feel like they feel I feel like they feel like
they don't need the.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Guide in so Solo Socoa anymore, because how many times
Solokoa's actually you know, haven't found himself in the winner circle.
So you know, there's only he's so much failure one
person can have to be like, Okay, so why are
we following this guy?
Speaker 2 (13:04):
You know, maybe.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Somewhere some way down the line, like maybe the Rock
finds his way back to WWE, or maybe Jacob Fattoo
and Tamatunga Tungueloba kind of follow him, or Jacob Fattoo,
like I said before, maybe he throws his hat in
the ring.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Maybe he wants to challenge for the Ulafala.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
And you know, based on the wide reaction from the
fans once when you had that promo with him McIntyre
and Cody Roads in.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
The ring, you know, I think they like Jacob.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
So I feel like Jacob obviously just starting, just starting,
just starting baby steps.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
But one of these days I feel like he will.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Make it to the top of the Gestapo and BWWE Champion.
One day next week, Shintz gam Nakamoora comes out to speak.
L A Knight and the mis also feel obligated to
join the fray. I definitely like, you know, l A.
Knight's impersonation of the Mis. I thought that was pretty funny.
The mis inn also antagonizing Night by crying, saying that
(13:58):
you last week he said it was all right for
men to cry, and l A Knight, like, I gotta
be honest, like, I think he broke character a little bit,
like he broke k for like the way he was
looking at it, he looked like he was actually like
like shocked that he did it. But at the same time,
he looked like like he was cracking up, you know
what I mean. So I thought that was actually pretty
damn I thought that was pretty damn awesome. So then
they end up having a battle with La Knight taking
(14:21):
out the Miz and you know, during the promo saying
that dude, you suck was pretty Uh, it was pretty
fun because the La Knight he was a great United
States Champion. I do agree without one thousand and ten percent,
But the miss also he makes a pretty good claim himself.
He put the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the map, made
it basically prestigious for the longest time, and can he
(14:41):
do the same for the United States Title. I feel
like he can. I definitely feel like the miss could
definitely do that, but the la Knights too as well.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I feel like, you know, both those guys are the
one of them holding the titles. I feel like it'd
be in good hands.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
So, you know, overall, it was a It was a
nice little promo between two competitors that will find themselves.
I was in the United States Title picture. Come WrestleMania.
You know, I feel like maybe like a triple threat match,
that'd be pretty cool. That'd be pretty nice. Obviously, I
would definitely put the l A. Knight over, you know,
I like schinz Kan Nakamara coming back with his new persona.
But you know, Elleen Knight was right. You know, not
(15:16):
a lot of people defend the United States Championship. The
La A Knight was there on every show. He was talking,
he was challenging people, accepting challenges, and so far, Shinskan
and Nakamora after winning the championship doesn't really seem like
he's you know, he doesn't really seem like he's with it,
So I don't know, maybe maybe there's time for a
Maybe it's time for a change. Alexa Bliss Nijack seen
(15:37):
talking backstage Naia Jacks kind of suddenly hits at you know,
she remembers the time when Alexa Bliss, you know, fake,
fake being her friend to kind of use her, and
then then you saw the White sixties and you saw
the Wide sixtieser. So it seems like Alexa Bliss is
going to be in a storyline with the Wyatt six
at this point. You know, once she came back to
(15:58):
the word rumble, you know, drop being you know, heavy hint,
obviously bringing the doll out, and then her sister Abigail
was you know, pretty badass.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
It was pretty cool. So you know, I'm excited to
see it.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
I'm excited to see what WWE has in store for
Alexa Bliss. Maybe form an attack team with Nikki Cross,
you know, maybe that's the direction that they're going toward. Mostly,
I would like to see Alexis Alexa kind of you know,
dave her you know, Davertozen singles competition, maybe you know,
women's the United States Championship picture.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
I would love to see her do that. But you know,
I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
I don't know the direction they're really going to go
with this storyline with this Sister Abigail thing, with this
Wyatt six. She's gonna come out possessed like she was
with with the Fiend or is she going to kind
of have just a you know, different overall like kind
of style. But I'm interested to kind of see it
fall out. I'm interested to see the White Six back
on television. I feel like this is, uh, it's kind
(16:54):
of like, you know, a nice little jump start because
I know a lot of people in there in wrestling
media feel like the White Say already is a failure.
I've been saying this since day one. I think it's
just gonna take a little bit of patience. You know,
It's just gonna take a little bit of patience, have
to let the story unfold. Like I said before, I
do not want to see two, three, four weeks of
(17:15):
you know, just handing videotapes to Michael Cole or you
know or whatever. Well I guess technically would be Joe
Tessatori or Waid Bear. Like I don't, we don't want
to see all that again. You're already introduced to the
ww universes. You know, come out, you know, and you know,
just start fighting. I think that's I think that's the
focal point of what I was trying to say, Just.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Just start fighting. Man fight, Owen's Fighting's kidding. Moving on.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
So Carmela Lohayes defeats Our Truth decent match. It was
a nice little match to kind of get Carmela Lehayes
back into the wing.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Call of the street profits.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Cud of Promo didn't see b fab Gotta be honest,
a little concerned, which sucks because I feel like she
has a lot of talent inside the ring.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Is she gonna be the next one to be on
the on the you know, on the on.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
The block of you know, being released by the w
w B. I certainly hope not, but you know, it
is what it is. Pretty deadly then, seemed talking to
d I Y, you know, d I Y saying that
pretty deadly messed up a nice little situation, pretty deadly.
Obviously disagrees, you know, they were just trying to stick
up for themselves. Tiffany Stratton defense or w w Women's
(18:20):
Championship against Nay Oh Me No and against Nia Jack, Sorry,
excuse me, disqualification. I don't see how disqualification wins really
benefits Nia Jacks. But Nia Jacks seemed like she was
happy with what Candice Loray did. I mean, you know,
I I what, you know, I guess, and you.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Know that's cool. They beat her up.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Charlotte Flair comes out, you know, and chooses Tiffany Stratton
as her.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Opponent at Wrestle Minia.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Obviously, you know, trist Strattus also was inside the ring,
but Naya Jacks was just too much of a woman
to a whole lot of women for them to handle.
So then backstage you see Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus
agreeing that they are going team out to take them
on at Elimination Chamber. I like their chemistry backstage, you know,
the nice little friendly banter seemed like, you know, Tris Stratus.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Last time we saw Trish, she was, you know, kind
of a heel.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
You know, she was a heel with Zoe Stark, you know,
during that Becky Lynch feud, you know, seeing her come
back into babyface, I think I thought that was actually
a pretty bad ass.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
We're going to get some.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Trishy and Tiffy time at Elimination Chamber and then you know,
capt this all off. We got a big jim Jimmy
Usso taking out Drew McIntire, and then the main event
we saw Damian Priest get that final spot. So the
so Coba gets involved.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
Obviously.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
At the end of the match, Cody Rhodes comes out
to even the yards and some moment spike an accidental
someone would spike too, Toma Tongua Jacob Fatu looked absolutely
irate with Solo so cola some you know, building up
something for the future.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
I feel like that would be pretty damn that'd be
a nice match.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Typ at WrestleMania, Damian Priest penns braun Stroman after the
South of Heavens choke slamming the Bam.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
There you have it. You're w w E smacked review
right then.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
And there, and yeah, now we're gonna move on to
what just happened some WWE Monday Night Raw recap.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
So grab your favorite snack, grab your favorite ice called beverage.

(21:04):
The noose and fits the mosy shit a stupid myth.
You choose to live a toose to deep. You choose
to fight a loser grip and lose a gift.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
All I see mosing everybody wild time.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Please don't give me us.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
I still using everybody wild.
Speaker 1 (21:35):

Speaker 2 (24:28):
So yeah, uh, don't keep me waiting.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I want to hear what you guys have to say,
absolutely positively.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
All right, we got WWE Monday Night Raw.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Pat McAfee is back on Raw, Sammy's a kicks off
Raw obviously talking about you know, Kevin Owen's situation, saying
that this time it is different. I feel like you
weren't doing that package pile driver to send a message
you legitimately wanted to end my career. So I thought
that was pretty Uh, it was a nice little statement
(24:59):
out of pears come out obviously concerned for Sammy Zain's
is you know his safety? He said, wwe told you know,
I told you no medical staff told you know. If
they're gonna have a match, it's gonna be a non
sanction match, and it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
We're gonna get it.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
We're gonna get Kevin Steen against El Generico once again.
They're gonna fight. I think this is their second nonsanction match.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
You know.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
You know I talk about this all the time in
the wrestling business. You know a lot of the times
you're gonna have the best matches with your best friend.
You know, that's just how it goes, you know, better chemistry.
You guys trust each other, you know, with the chair shots,
with the suplexes, with the punches landing, and you know,
sometimes they tell each other like, you know what, I
(25:42):
don't care beat the crap out of me inside the ring.
I want it to look absolutely diabolical. I want to
see blood. I want to see a lot of blood.
I want people to believe that this ass kicking is
like for reels for reels, So, you know, I think
that's cool. I definitely think that's cool. I know behind
the stage, Kevin Owens and Sammy Zine absolute boys. Definitely
hope this is in a subtled way of Kevin Owens
(26:04):
leaving the WWE, because he literally got to work with
the three closest guys in the business, Cody Rhoades, Randy Orton.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Of course Sammy's Zane.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
So I still hope that he's gonna be around because
I do love myself some Kevin Owens, Jade Cargo, you know,
it will showed how I live, Morgan ubercro Rodriguez were
walking from the trucks kind of crazy, kind of if
it's if this whole Live and Raquel thing, if it
is actually that, you know, I feel like it was
(26:34):
a huge waste of my excitement. I'm you know, a
huge waste of everybody just you know, coming up with
different storylines, different conspiracy theories.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
But it seems like this is more or.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Less just going to attribute to the few that Naomi
Bianca are gonna have with Live with Live Morgan and
Raca Rodriguez.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
For those w W Women's World Tag Team Championships.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
And I just, like I said, if that was just
the build up that they we're gonna make, you know,
it seems kind of like lazy story writing. You know,
I want to see something shocking. I want to see
you know, you know, I don't even maybe, like I said,
w W, maybe they're sticking with the safe choices here.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Maybe they're like, you know what if we have Naomi
be the one to.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Take out Jade, then you know, then we got to
think about this complex storyline.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
You know.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
But the storyline of Live and Raquel, you know, on
the judgment day, they're bad girls.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
It's kind of just already out there written in stone.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
You know, they don't really have to do much, and
the storyline is already you know, it.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Makes sense, it makes sense.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
But having like you know, having like a shocking factor
like Bianca did it out of jealousy, Naomi did it
out of jealousy. You know, they would just you know,
maybe not to hurt other characters. Maybe it is safest
to kind of take the safe way out and just
kind of blame it on Liv and Raquel because you
know that's already you know, their you know, that's their
motor sepparatus. That's something that they are already, something that
(28:01):
they do already, So it wouldn't be much of a
much of a shocker, Like I said, not much of
a you know, now we have about nine weeks of
setting something up toward WrestleMania. Then we have to get
the tag titles off in Naomi and Bianca, and then
you know, I don't know, it just seems like the
you know, if they want to take the safe choice there.
AJ Styles has a successful victory against Dirty Dominic Masterio.
(28:23):
After the match you had the w W inter Continental Champion,
braun Breaker try to hit a sneak attack sich set
by AJ Styles.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Dominic Masterio is torn in half by braun Breaker and
we're gonna get this.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
We're gonna get this match. I have a feeling that
we're gonna get this match at Mania. AJ Styles bron Breaker.
I'm excited to see this. You have a young rising
superstar and you have a seasoned vet who still looks
like he has a lot left.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
In the tank. AJ Styles.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
He looks jacked, he looks fit, he looks like he's
ready to kind of have a second run at the title.
And believe it or not, I feel like the WWU
inn Continental Championship is absolutely perfect for aj Styles. It'll
kind of keep him, it'll definitely, as a matter of fact,
keep him extremely relevant within the world of wrestling, kind
(29:11):
of being that same you know, he wins the Intercontinental Championship,
and I'm not trying to dog on bron Breaker or
anything like that.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
AJ Styles wins that.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
W W Intercondital title and then automatically I kind of
see it as like a as the WWE Championship, And
of course maybe it seems like, you know, maybe it
might be a little far fetched outside that, maybe it's
just the presence and it's the success and all the
accolades that Aj Styles has accomplished that you know, when
AJ Styles wins a belt, that belt means something. It's
(29:40):
it's a big deal. And like I said, not trying
to hate on bron Break or anything like that. You know,
but he you know, he lost the todder, he regained it,
which is you know, he's still young, still young, has
a huge he has.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
A long long time ahead. He has a long time ahead.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
But you know, having the title won by AJ Styles,
a lot of people might be like, Okay, well that
kind of sucks for the young razing star. I would
you know, a J Stoules want a studid opportunity from
someone that WWE is gonna hope to be successful and
carry the company within the future. I feel like that
kind of discourse, you know, I want to put it
(30:16):
to bed.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
I don't feel like that at all, whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
You know. I feel like AJ Style still has a
lot left in the tank, and I feel like if
he wins the title, he's not gonna He's not gonna core.
He's not gonna hold it over. You know, it's gonna
gotta be like a Bailey Championship run. You know, it'd
be like, hey, you know, I'm still great people. You know,
they they'll fight me for the title, and if they win,
they lose, I'll put people over, you know. So AJ
(30:39):
Stous is in a good spot right now, and if
he wins that in the Continental Championship, I believe that
WWE will be in an amazing spot as well. Dakota
kai Went defeats Ivy Nile for the Number one Contenders match.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
I thought that was a huge mistake iv.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Nile and Lyra Valkuria building up this storyline, not for
it not to happen.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
You know, once again, this was a huge, huge deal.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
The reason why the the mid car titles for the
women seeming like they've already kind of hit a rut,
it's because there's no death, there's no really storylines behind them.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
You know.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
For the women's United States Championship, you know, you have
Chelsea Green, She's the you know, she's in your face, cocky,
she's you know, she's the bully, she's a spoiled brat.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
You know, she has that working for her.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Labra Valkuria is very you know, she's kind of soft spoken.
She's talented as hell, talented as hell, but she really
doesn't you know. She has a character, but not that
much of a character, not that like in your face
character that I feel like the inaugural champion should be.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
You know, if in an.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Alternate universe, you would have had somebody like Live Morgan
with the title and then she kind of parades around
for a couple of months with the title, then Libra Valcuria,
you know, defeats her. I feel like that would have
been like, I feel like that would have been a
better like setup for the title overall. But and I'm
not trying to you know, I'm not trying to hate
on Livravall. Correa is Intercontinental Championship, and I'm not I
feel like it is great.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
She puts on amazing matches. If they had to put
the title.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
On somebody, it was probably it would probably be great
to have a Louer Valkia, you know, And this is
something that WWE could definitely work for and make better
to kind of structure more of a storyline, get her
going into some feuds. That's why I'm like, why didn't
Ivy Nile win this match? I like Dakota, Kay, you know,
nothing against Dakota, but I really wanted to see this
(32:28):
this feud kind of come into fruition, but.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
We're not gonna get it. So it is what it is.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Guther answers the ring j Uso style. I definitely liked
when Guther was walking down in the concourse of the arena,
somebody behind him flipped them off.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
I thought that was pretty funny. I was like, dude,
that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Jay Usso comes out, they brawl it out, obviously, we're
gonna get like nine or eight more a week. So
this I just want because I think people already kind
of get the concept that Jay Usso is gonna win.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
You know, we've already kind of you know, accepted that.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
We well we meaning w w EE. They need to
make it a little bit more unpredictable, like they need
to have Gunther come out on top for a lot
for you know, some of these promos so far, it
just seems like it keeps turning up, you know, Jay Usso.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
You know, it keeps going in Jay Usso's way. You know,
you want to make Gunther look like you know, you
want to make him.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Look like like like a David versus Goliath kind of story,
because you know, you had that match at w w
E Saturday Night's main event, came close, came down to
the wire, and you know, Gunther got the victory, and
then you know Usso was right there, he was right there,
and now it's just kind of seems like, oh, you know,
the narrative of it is, if Jay gets under the shot,
(33:44):
he's gonna win this match easily. And that's really not
the mentality that you want WWE fans heading into wrestle media.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
You know, you kind you still have to.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
You know, you still kind of have to reiterate some
kind of doubt within the within the viewer's mind.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
It's kind of it's like a movie. It's like entertainment
and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
You know, when you watch the uh, when you watch
The Avengers, you kind of you know, you had that
all hope is lost kind of moment in the movie,
and then then the superhero, you know, against all odds
prevails and you know ban that's how you know, happy
ending to us to the story. So I definitely think
they still need a lot of work with this storyline
(34:21):
between j Ussel and Gunter. It is, you know, I
definitely don't think it's an open and closed just yet.
I Like I said, I just want to see Gunther
kind of, you know, kind of be this this big,
unstoppable guy who's gonna, you know, who's gonna tear you down,
who's gonna you know, kick dirt in your face and
steal your lunch money.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
I'm just kidding, know, uh, but uh, I you.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Know, I feel like the storyline should be a should
get a little more in depth, you know what I mean.
You know, peastle Model once again victorious.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
He is undefeated in w w E. The feeds done.
No one could stop this guy.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
You know, you had lud Big Kaiser and done try
to take him out at the end of the after
after the match, Pencil still comes out fighting. Definitely the
pride of luchador wrestling as of right now and WWE.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
He is so he's so.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Impressive and it's just great. Next we see a Whole
Coaching American beer commercial. You know, I gotta be honest,
I'm you know, uh Hee Cogan getting booed at the
you know, ron on Netflix premiere. And then I think
he's I think he's being sued his beer companies.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
You know, they have a lawsuit right now.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
You know, he's kind of you know, dabbled himself in
politics and made some controversial comments, and you know, at
this point, I feel like WWE ultimately needs to cut
their losses and kind of say bye.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
To whole Comania.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
You know, he you know, he's a nostalgic factor. You know,
he's he's you know, he's cool to see. I guess
you're like, oh cool with's Ho Cogan. But it's just
the stuff that the Holster does on the outside. It
just ruins everything, and it's crazy, It's absolutely nuts. I
feel like w w would be better off, you know,
cutting their ties with Hulkgaan, But I think he recently
(36:01):
signed a Legends contract for like five years, so you know,
Lord only knows how long this guy's going to be
with w w EE and his good.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Old fashioned American bearer. So I thought that was interesting.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Roxan Perez capitalizing on Ricael Rodriguez being distracted by Biancabelle
Lair and Naomi, she secures that last chamber spot, and.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
I'm excited for her. I feel like that's great.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
She does belong in that ring with Live Morgan. She
does belong in that ring with Naomi. She belongs in
that ring. God, Bailey, she's there and there with Bailey.
You know, I've but Biancabella she's probably the only one
that kind of kind of throws me off a little
bit because she seems like so much like, you know,
stronger than everybody else inside that inside that bout right now.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
But you know who's going to take so the winner
takes all Ray Ripley or eol Sky.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
But of course it's gonna be real. Why would he
not be rare. That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Maybe her and Live Morgan to run it back.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
I gotta be honest, I want to really be too
excited for that storyline. More or less, I feel like
they're building up Live Morgan and Ricael Rodriguez fighting for
the Women's World Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania because you
have this whole like I mentioned before, this Jade Cargo
storyline turn, so you know, that leaves the spot wide
wide freaking open, and you know, I you know, Bailey,
(37:23):
I don't think. You know, she had one hell of
elite of a year last year, so I don't think
she's going to win it.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
But I don't know, man, It's it's still up there.
It's still up there.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
A lot of these girls have a you know, they
have they have chances, so you know, I'm excited to
see it. I'm excited to see maybe if rox and
Perez you know, has this you know, underdog glory year
that she's already been having.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
You know, obviously I'm quoting Michael Cole here, but I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Maybe roxant Ferez against Raya maybe possibly would be pretty badass.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
Hmm.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
Yeah, I could see it. I can see it. Why
not screw it?
Speaker 5 (37:59):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Next we have Carrying Cross seems adamant on helping out
Sammy's Zam because Sammy's Am.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
You know, it seems like all.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Of his friends are turning on him too, so, uh,
you know, Caring Cross, you know, no more final testament
aop is gone, Paul Over, He's gone. It's all gone,
so him, it's him and Scarlett's still hanging around. They
need a storyline pretty pretty badly and uh, you know,
kind of throwing your hat in the ring with uh,
(38:27):
with Sammy Zame, with this everything going down with Kevin
Owens is, you know, I feel like it needs a
new direction. I do the New Day come out obviously
kind of poking front fun at the attack that they
had on Ray Mysterio, saying that we hope Ray gets
well soon the O W will come and run him
out and avenge Mysterio. In the main event, we saw
seth rawlins hit the hit, the stomp.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
On the inaugural Universal Champion.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Finn Balor for that final spot inside the chamber, rowing
off the air and you know nothing, you know, too crazy.
I feel like lately, I feel like lately on Rod
there's been like you know, stuff that's you know, happen,
you know, after the cameras turned off, like like Kevin
Owen's attacking Sammy's ay and then a new day coming
out of attacking Rayvesteria.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
But now this this, uh, you know, the show.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Actually ended up pretty gradually, you know and pretty pretty calmly,
pretty soundly. So I thought, you know, overall, good episode
of Rob good eupisode. All right, God, so hey, do
not go anywhere. We have our ww nxt vengince day review.
So grab your favorite snack, grab your favorite asscode beverage.
You join me here in about twenty seconds. So hey,

A righter, You're back with the GSMC Wrestling Laureate Podcast,
brought to you at a GSMC Sports Network. I'm your
favorite wrestling fan here Eric Gregoriguez. Every Monday night APM
sometime I love a PM the Eastern time, here to
talk about the greatest thing in the world, professional wrestling.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Talk about all the action and.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Side and outside of the ring, backstage curtain calls, all
the rumors, all.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
The drama, all the updates.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
Talk about negotiations and contracts with superstars. We talk about
potential storylines, possible conspiracy theories.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
We also talk about like list.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
We also talk about the past, like WCWECW early Ring
of Honor. We talked about everything here for promotions, from
AEW to TNA, to Game Changing Wrestling, to the National
Wrestling and a lot to everything everything that comes with
the world of wrestling. We talked about it here on
this show. From mixed major headlines in the in the
world of professional wrestling. So yeah, make sure you guys
(41:36):
smash that. Superman punched that like a subscribe button to
the show so you guys can get some notifications when
videos are published. Also when you know we go live
in our show. So definitely would love to hear from
you guys. All right, without further ado, let's go to
talk about some w w E NXC Vengines Day. Of course,
make sure you guys hit up that tips and a
nation's link. Make sure you guys know that anything you
(41:59):
guys drop inside that chatbox, do not be shy, won't
be judge. You just want to get a lot of
a nice little back and forth answer between you know,
all the fans and stuff like that. All right, so
without further ado, we're gonna talk about NXT Vengeance Day,
russif Day. I remember that that was. I don't know
why I ranmly just popped into my head. We had
(42:20):
the first match. We're gonna talk about Ethan Page taking
on Javon.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Evans getting the win here, getting the win here.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
I for one, I thought this was an best This
was a good spot for Jabon Evans to kind of,
you know, get a nice little victory. But Ethan Page
has been on a slump too, so I feel like
it was kind of anybody, you know. I feel like
it was up for grabs when I was talking about
it on Friday, I think it was when I recorded
my show. I was talking about how it would make
no sense for Ethan Page to get the victory. I
(42:48):
thought Ethan Page was gonna find himself within that transfer portal.
On Monday night wrote or smacked down. Obviously that didn't happen,
but you know, it was a good match. It was
a great match, but a right hand to the jaw
put Javon Evans.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
He is not one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
Ethan Page capitalizes and gets that one two three.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Next we have a shocking match.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
Actually, this match was just a It started off so
rough for Eddie Thorpe. I would say Trick Williams controlled
this match probably seventy five to eighty percent of the time.
You know, this strap match. I'm not a huge strap
match kind of guy. For me, it's not really a
stipulation and I'm like, oh, let's just have a strap
match that'll solve everything.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
Nah, But that's just my opinion. I don't. I'm not
a huge strap match kind of guy.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
But but yeah, after after a low blow, you know,
with the with the strap on Trick Williams, and then
Eddie Thorpe kind of just hurled his body at the
face of Trick Williams. Trick Trick Williams went down and
then then he got the one two three. All the
fans in the arena were like, dude, like, what the
hell just happened? What the heck is you know, what
the heck is going on? It was it was a
(43:54):
nice you know, it was good for Eddie. It was
really really good for Eddie Thorpe. Even even was it
Cory Go. It was Corey Graves who said, you know,
now you're gonna remember the name of Eddie Thorpe. You know,
this was his first you know time being broadcasted on
a pl E.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
I thought, I think that's what they said, so, you.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
Know, I this is this was one of the wrestlers
where I think, overall, if he's not going to get
a storyline anytime soon, wwe.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
Will let him go.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
But he got the win against Trick Williams, you know,
and that's you know, Trick Williams putting Eddie Thorpe over.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
I thought that was pretty Uh, that was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
You know, I definitely admire that trick Williams as well.
Where does his character kind of go from here? Maybe
he continues, uh, you know, beef with Eddie Thorpe that
you know, maybe that might come into maybe that might
come handy.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
But this, like I said, this was kind of an overall.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
Shocking, shocking result, but it was a good match. This
match was my favorite match. This match kicked absolute ass.
Fhraxium successfully retains They're nxt Rol Attack Team Championships against
Josh Briggs and I always forget his name, yo Yo
Yoshiki Yoshiki in in a Malau. But overall the match
(45:10):
was good. The match was pretty great.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
I loved it. I loved it.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
Man. You know, Josh Brakes showing that you know, he
kicks ass, so does in They both all for These
men really honestly laid.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
It all out in the ring before the match.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
They probably had a backstage meaning they were like, you
know what, guys, let's just you know, go eight eight
crap on each other. And that's exactly what it seemed
like it happened. You had a bunch of near falls,
high flying, you know, big chops, big slams, you had
the missile drop kicks, you've had, you know, innovative tag
team maneuvers.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
It was great.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
It was one of the best matches you know, I've
seen on n x T, and no surprise that Nathan
Fraser and acxiom were part of it. And then you know,
of course after the match, you had you know this,
uh this this the revamped Shield and Retribution.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
You know, if they you know, came together. You know,
I'm not huge on it.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
I'm not big I feel like because we've already seen
this happen, like Retribution, and then they come out kind
of dressed like the Shield. Obviously, the leader, Dion Lennox,
you know, you know, he needs a storyline.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
I feel like it, you know, it works out, but
does it really I don't know.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
I'm I'm not really huge on the you know, the
guys just coming out to kick the other guy's ass
and stuff like that. Obviously, they want to make sure
that their names are going to be foretold in the
NXT Tag Team division. So you know, it did serve
its purpose, but you know, let's just see if the
storyline goes pretty well. Next, we have Fallon Henley losing
(46:40):
to Stephanie the care The Dark Angel had to take
out jaff m Nicks and Jacy Jane to get the victory.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
But she did it.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
She did it, and a lot of us kind of
knew this was coming, you know, And I'm not trying
to brag to be.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
Like, oh, I've already saw you know, I saw it coming.
Speaker 1 (46:55):
But you know, with WWE going more international, you know,
with you know, you see Stephanie Vakiera coming from CMLLL,
you know, she's fll all over the place. She needed
a title. She definitely needed a title. For the longest
time you had her and Julia, you know.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Tag teaming. You know, they were never really kind of
being the ring.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
You know, they kind of got the you know, they
got the concept. And this match was great. This match
was really good. You know, during the match, there was
a couple of times where I was kind.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Of looking at it.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
I was like, you know what, maybe Fallon Henley got
a little bit of a bad rap. I don't think
she's that much of a transitional champion. She had a
nice range, she puts on great matches. She has a future.
She does have a future in NXT. Maybe you see her.
You know, we have the WWE draft coming up in March,
(47:44):
maybe we might see fatal Influence make it to SmackDown
or raw. Seems like it seems kind of fitting as
of right now, because you know, I'm kind of thinking
about it.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
What's the potential storylines for fallon here? I can't really
think of anything, I really honestly can.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
So, you know, congratulations stephanieva care obviously becoming the ANC.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Women's North American Champion.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Third, right, yeah, third, because there was Jordan Henley and
now there's the Care. So you know, I know, w
W is super excited to have you know, Stephanie Vakaier
on this roster. And you know, like I said, whenever
she fights, it's a whole different style of wrestling. It's
it's new, it's innovative, it's you know, it's it's cleaning.
It grabs your attention, you know. I definitely, I definitely
(48:27):
love watching Stephanie Vacaire you know, matches as well as
Julia's just something, you know, like a different style like
Shinsky Knockmore kind of had when he returned to w
W E and you know, like you saw anymore in
the dag team match, you know, with Josh Briggs, you know,
bringing a different style on it, and it's you know,
it's nice, it's cool. You know, it's not your standard
uh you know, boring wrestling, and it's you know, it's
(48:50):
you know, at the end, it kind of does his
due diligence and just entertains.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
The hell out of us. So you know, yeah, it
was kind of cool to see Stephanie Vacare win this one.
Next we have the.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
W u WE World the NXC World Heavyweight Championship.
Speaker 2 (49:04):
I knew Oba Femi was gonna walk out the victor.
You know, a town down.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Unders still seems like they're not heading for a breakup.
You know, there's a lot of there's a lot of
times during the matchups where you know it just looked like, oh,
I was just you know, I was just trying to
hit the other guy and it was just just an accident.
Speaker 2 (49:22):
You know, Usually when that happens, you know.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
They're kind of doing it to preserve the tag team,
you know, but they still have that lingering dowt of
are they gonna break up?
Speaker 2 (49:29):
Which I definitely thought they should have.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
You know, you had you had Grayson Waller and you know,
pull the referee out of the ring where you know,
he hit the way Austin Theory hate that a town
down on Oba Feman and he was gonna win it.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
It was so damn closed. He was so damn close.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
But at the end of it, you know, Oba Feming,
the ruler of NXC, is still NXT Champion of the World.
After the match, you saw him, once again, Deon Lennox's
crew come out kind of rough up Oba Feming. We
never we haven't really seen Oba being manhandled like that,
so it was kind of a you know, kind of
a shocking factor to you know, two n XT, to
(50:07):
the fans and all that. But you know, I, like
I said, I just hope they do it right. You know,
I don't want this to be like a reboot of Retribution.
I really honestly don't. But but femin as well, Like
he took some hits, he took some bumps in this match,
but he came out he you know, showed why he
you know, definitely why.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
Sean Michaels was like, you know what, let's put the
bell on Nova.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
He you know, he's a fantastic wrestler and he's gone
to mic he represents and you know, he right, he's
internationally known, he's internationally sound, and he's great, and he's.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
Good at what he does. I knew that Grayson Waller
and rossin Therey weren't gonna win. But it was a
good match. It was a decent decent It was a
decent match. I give it out of five stars.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
I'll give it a three point five penn neal four.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
If a time down under would have broke up during
this match.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
And they just start beating the Holy Hall out of
each other, throwing face shots, I would have gave this
like a five point five. Man. You know, I don't know,
maybe I'm a little maybe I'm a little cynical about
this tag team that is Grayson Waller in Austin theory
is because I feel like Austin Theory could be you know,
I feel like he could also he could be single
star once again. Grayson Waller I feel like belongs on NXT.
(51:18):
He's you know, kind of has that face. And something
I did notice about Grayson Waller as well, he looked
like he was working out. You know, it looks like he, uh,
he cut some weight. I feel like a couple of
months ago when he was wrestling, he kind of looked
like he was a.
Speaker 2 (51:29):
Little you know, it seemed like he was a little soft.
But now he turned it up. He looks good. He
looks jack. So you know, that's pretty bad ass. Main
event time.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
We have for the WWE Women's NXC Championship. Julia defends
against core Jade, Roxan Prez, and Bailey in a fatal
four way match. You know, I feel like wrestling does
a pretty good job of like, okay, the champion doesn't
have to get pinned, so you know, it would be
a nice way to kind of change the scenery here.
But I feel like Julia is gonna hold on to
(51:57):
that title for quite time.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
I feel like, I.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
Don't you know, I don't think Bailey's gonna be thrown her.
Rox and Perez is on her way up to the
main roster. Corera Jade as well doing her thing on TNA.
You know, she put out a good match too, She
put on a great match.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
Bailey.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
Bailey's just there. You know, Bailey's great. You know, she's
there inside the ring to kind of do bring attention.
She's there to you know, kind of overall dictate what's
happening it inside the Squord Circle, and she does such
an amazing, such a great.
Speaker 2 (52:28):
Job at it. She's such a vet man, she's such
a vet, such.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
A great she's he's a root for you know, even
as a heel.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
She you know, super funny.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
It was kind of cool, but you know, it was
kind of cool to see this match, these four women,
four different eras of NXT going at it. And you know,
Julia is a future so she was able to pick
up the one two three, and you know, cor Jayden,
I wanted to see more out of her in Rocks
and Perez, like kind of a kind of hinting at
a you know, hinting at a at a feud heading
(52:57):
up towards stand and deliver. That's what I I kind
of wanted to see. But you know, there's still some time.
You know, they still have roadblock to kind of take over.
So it's you know, I still have hope for that
feud because I feel like these two women inside the
ring together as tag team simply amazing. Going up as opponents,
it'd be even better.
Speaker 2 (53:16):
So I can't wait to.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
See that Julia is still your NXT Women's Champion. I'm
not you know, I'm not against that I you know, definitely,
I'm a huge Julia fan. I think she's great, and
you know, I wonder who who are next opponent's going
to be?
Speaker 2 (53:29):
You can't wait.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
Oh oh, Jordan Grace. Jordan Grace shows up at the end.
I can't believe I almost left that one out. O.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
That was a close one.
Speaker 1 (53:36):
So Jordan Grace will probably take on Julia or if
the Care or for Care. You know, obviously all three
women have a huge resounding.
Speaker 2 (53:45):
Respect for one another, so you know, maybe the trash
talking will start. Maybe.
Speaker 1 (53:50):
You know, it'd be kind of crazy if they bring
in Jordan Grace to be an absolute like buzz and
just beat the holy hell out of everybody and kind
of be like a be like a heel. That would
be pretty interesting because everybody recently that they sign like Czaria,
the Care, Julia and they're all babyfaces, and you kind
of interesting to see Jordan Grace like come in and
just be like a be like a boss ass.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
You know, I'm just goinna know, but no, it would
be interesting to see that.
Speaker 1 (54:16):

I like seeing this podcast as a you know, I
see this podcast as if you walk into a bar.
(57:00):
You see an empty barstool on the television, which never
happens at bars, which is a freaking shame that you
don't see wrestling.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
But actually, you know, it's a lie.
Speaker 1 (57:08):
One I did go into Uh there's this pizza place
like rat Dentistry from my house. It's called Megabytes, And
you know, the guy, the bartender, he was a wrestling
fan and he had had money and I raw on
there and I.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
Was like, dude, this is sick.
Speaker 1 (57:21):
This is cool, you know what I mean something that
I sat down and I was actually chatting with the
bartender watching Monday and nightra and it was cool. You know,
wrestling fans immediately just have a have a found respect
for one another the moment they meet face to face,
which makes us a.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
Very rare fan breed, a very rare fandom. You know,
it's awesome. It's awesome, right, Professional wrestling is great. All right, without.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Further adude, we're gonna talk about some ae w Grand Slam.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
I for one, I watched. I watched most of it.
I did. I'm not gonna be sd you.
Speaker 1 (57:56):
I'm not gonna be s to you guys, right, but
something that I did kind of bothered me was the
fact that.
Speaker 2 (58:03):
It was taped. It was taped and then I think
it was shown later.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
And then so then you know, you get all the
results already, and then you're like, okay, so well, you know,
where is my you know, motivation to kind of watch it.
And then they had the small the small you know,
the condensed ring, which I thought was beneficial.
Speaker 2 (58:22):
I thought it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (58:23):
Made the matches seem like faster, heavy hitters, you know.
Speaker 2 (58:27):
I thought it was actually a pretty good idea.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
And man in Brisbane, Australia, a w I feel like
whenever AEW or any wrestling promotion kind of go overseas
or kind of go internationally.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
It's it's like big.
Speaker 1 (58:40):
You know, if I was if I was Tony Connan,
if I you know, if you're not selling out arenas
here in the United States, go sell them out somewhere else.
A thousand have more pls in Australia, you know, have more,
you know, have more, you know, pay per views or
have more you know, dynamites or you know, I know
it would be you know, quite a travel but stuff
like that. But if you kind of let the world
(59:01):
know you to post on social media you're gonna have
a nice little European tour or like a tour in
Saudi Arabia or something like.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
That, that would be big bucks.
Speaker 1 (59:09):
I would definitely believe that that could be a way
for Tony Kan to get some more attention toward the
EW because it seems like in the States they recently
kind of downgraded to two smaller arenas, which is smart.
You know, you don't want to be like, oh, aw's
absolutely huge. It's you know, it's taking place at the
(59:30):
Crypto dot Com arena and then you know you see
like about like five thousand to ten thousand people there
and you kind of look at it and you're like,
oh man, it kind of sucks.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
It makes people think that it doesn't product suck.
Speaker 1 (59:42):
But if you kind of have it in a smaller
venue and you know, you pack the house and you
actually get you know, a nice aroma from the fans
and the good responses, you know, it excites the wrestlers,
so it gets them to kind of perform in this
you know, kind of like this superhero role where you
kind of get this adrenaline front them all, you know,
from everybody just cheering because they want to see some
(01:00:03):
good old fashioned wrestling. So, you know, I definitely think
ae W should definitely dab all their feet into traveling
more internationally. Maybe like once a month. Once a month
would be interesting. But you know, like I said, obviously
traveling and you know, travel issues and you know prices
and it's you know, I don't know. Moving on, So
(01:00:24):
we have ae W Grand Slam. We're gonna talk about
the first match. We had, the Brisbrane Brisbrain Brisbane Brawl
between Cope which will A J. White taking on the
Death Writers. I thought this was a good match. I
definitely I was a fan of it. I you know,
I do love you know, I'm an attitude there are
kind of guy so I do love some blood. You know,
(01:00:46):
it seemed at some point a little what's the right word,
I'm trying to say, not prototypical, but like not plain.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
It wasn't playing.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
I feel like, you know, in a in a brawl,
you say the world the word brawl, and I don't
know why I just feel like, you know, like chains
and uh. But then again, AW is kind of watching
it because of you know, with everything going down with
John Oxley when he put that uh the plastic bag
around uh, you know, Brian Danielson, and then you saw
Swarts trickling get a shot in the mouth. But then
(01:01:17):
he also saw Orange Cassidy being fed chemicals. Uh. But
you know, I don't know, maybe due to like public
relations purposes, maybe you know, kind of toning it down.
But it was a great match, you know, obviously to
hometown boy switched twitch Blade J White. I've been high
on switch Blade J White for quite some time. I
definitely feel like he is the future of AW.
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
He's kicking ass. He's kicking ass.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
He's been one of my favorite wrestlers, preferably not you know,
I do love the guns.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
I do him as a singles guy, I love even more.
I don't you know.
Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
I feel like the way he connects to the fans
is just it's uncanny. It's the you know, I feel
like switched Blade J White was kind of ultimately rebirthed
once when he turned into a babyface recently, and the
fans love it, you know, they love responding to them.
You know, the Guns came back to had a hell
of a fight with the Hurt Syndicate.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
I keep wanting to say the Hurt Business.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
But the Hurt Syndicate. So, you know, I want to
see these guys go after Trio's gold again. You know,
they could definitely one and ten percent do that, go
after the Death Riders with the Guns. So, you know,
obviously Cope at the beginning of the match, he saw
everybody started singing his name, you know, his theme song.
He started getting a little emotional.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
You know, it was it was cool. It was cool.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
That's what wrestling is all about. And you know the
fact that they win internationally is you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
Know, super cool. Definitely loved that. It was a great match.
Obviously the Death Riders picking up the dub.
Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
But you know, it seems like Cope's gonna get a
title shot at Revolution, So we have that to look
forward to. Next week have College Chicao Kata taking on
Buddy Matthews and obviously with the rain Maker.
Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
For the win, you know, he had to hit it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
I think he hit it multiple times. Buddy Matthews kicked
out of it, and Tony Schiavani is not a lot.
I don't know anybody who kicked out of the rain Maker,
and I guess after the show, Buddy Matthews was seen
in crutches, you know, especially with this new you know
hell hounds, you know, gimmick that they got, they would
be highly detrimential if they if he's really injured, and
(01:03:15):
you know, Brody King gets.
Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
Left on his own, that would suck.
Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
But you know, Kaso Kata, he's one hell of a wrestler,
he is, but you know, a little stale. You know,
this whole elite storyline abruptly ends and then, you know,
it seems like once when John Moxley returned to ae
W full time, he kind of like just took all
the attention away from Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.
Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
Jack Perry and Kaszl Katta.
Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
Everyone was like, oh, okay, who cares what these clowns are
doing nowadays?
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
And you know it just ended.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Oh God, they made it seem like such like they
were such a powerful force, and then it just kind
of you know, pulled the rug out from under them.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
But you know, respect them, yeah, shoot, some respect.
Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
But you know, when Okada made his way to ae
W and then he defeated Eddie Kingston for that title.
Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
You know, I feel like he has defended it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
So you know, I'm not trying to compare him to
like a like a Logan Pause a United States champion,
because I do feel like he does defend it. But
I don't know, maybe the you know, maybe the flavor's
out right here. I want to see Okada Okada is
gonna be taken on Kenny Omega once again. If there's
someone the de throne Okata for that Continental Championship, it's
(01:04:29):
got to be Kenny Omega. And I feel like that's
what we're gonna get from AW. But that's just you know,
obviously my opinion. All Right, Next we have Kenoskates, Keshna,
Kyle Fletcher of the don Kallis family. They they they
obviously they lost, Will lost Bray, Kenny Omega picking up
the dub and you know, it was like I said,
I I kind of knew that this was h you know, this.
Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
Was gonna happen, you know, you know story when it
comes to stuff like this.
Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
I feel like ultimately they kind of to do let
the Babyface team win and since it wasn't really like
you know, didn't involve aew you know champion. This was
actually the opening match, and it was a lot of
fun and you know, it was cool to see Kok
Keshna and and Kenny Omega kind of go at it.
It was super cool, you know, a nice little you
know battle back and forth. Also you had the chemistry
(01:05:20):
between Kyle Fletcher and uh and little Osprey that just.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
Made the match super exciting. It was. It was dope.
It was great.
Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
We saw you know, Omega and Osprey hit a one
winged angel, you know, hitting blade Combo on the International
Champions setting up. You know, the obviously they're going to
be facing each other, you know, pretty soon, and I
feel like it should be pretty awesome. Uh, but no,
it was a great match. It was a great way
to open it. The fans were hot throughout throughout the
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
It was. It was cool.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
You know, it was a nice way to kind of
you know, kind of jump start the crowd a little bit,
you know, kind of having you know, impressive superstars doing
what they do best. You know, a nice little action pack,
fast paced, you know, like I mentioned before with the
smaller with the smaller ring, I did like the fact
that it was you know, a little fast pace, but
I don't know, it was I gotta be honest.
Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
It did take some getting used to, but you know,
it was good. It was good, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Next we have timeless Tony Storm regains the ae W
Women's World Championship from rya May you know, round of applause,
r out of applause to a very very This match
was amazing. Obviously, this was one of the best matches
you know, in you know, in aew you know Grand
Slam history. You know, they were in the main event.
(01:06:36):
You know, it was it was cool. It was very
very cool. They got a massive reaction in front of
a home audience, and you know, the way they were fighting,
it was pretty badass. And the storytelling was magnificent because
obviously they have a lot of you know, they have
a lot of buzz, They have a lot of you know,
they have a lot of built up animosity, they have
a lot of baggage, they have a lot of just
(01:06:57):
they have a reputation of hating each other, also coming
together but then once again kind of hating each other.
But it was, you know, it was cool, It was nice,
It was thrilling. I definitely liked it. It was about
time that the title did change hands. I'm not hating
on Mariah maybe because I feel like her as a heel.
Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
She was the ultimate heel.
Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
You know, she beat the holy hell out of Tony
Storm with that high heel, you know, after winning the
own Hard Cup, and then she then she defeats You know,
this is gonna go back and forth.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Both of these women are gonna.
Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Go back and forth against each other time after time
after time again. So you know I wouldn't. You know,
there's not much of them. You know, it's it's you know,
it's from Rima. It's like, oh, you know, it sucks.
I lots the title, but at the end of the day,
you know she's gonna get another shot.
Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Both of these women young, absolutely talented.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
It's gonna this match is going to happen again for
the AEW and in a World Heavyweight Championship.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
I'm not too sure, but these women.
Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
I was.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
You know, one of my favorite matches was definitely this
match right here.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
You know, I did watch NXT Vengeance Day, but the
fallon Henley Stephanie ve Care match it was decent, and
then the main event, Fatal for Away was pretty damn good.
But I feel like this one tops them both. I
feel like it tops them both. This next match we're
gonna talk about, obviously, Harley Cameron taking on Mercedes Monet.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
I wanted to see Harley Cameron rud win.
Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
I thought it was I thought it was I definitely
thought it was funny how she brought out the how
she brought out the puppet. Was it money money or
something like that. I forgot what she named her puppet.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
But I don't know it was it was. It was cool.
It was pretty damn cool. Mercedes Monete, she won.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
You know, she won clean, so I I guess that's good.
I really wanted to see Harley Cameron win. But you know,
I was kind of talking about this with the with
the preview of you know, Grand Slam Australia, how I
feel like, you know, I wanted to see Mercedes Monette
put over Harley Cameron. But I feel like she also
did that with the defeat as well, because this was
(01:08:58):
definitely one of the you know, biggest match in her career.
And she started on this, uh, on these winning ways.
She's going to start building up some momentum. She's gonna
start building up more wins here, and she's probably gonna
find herself facing for the TVs championship, whether it's you know,
Mercedes Monette again or you know, just something, you know,
something different, you know what I mean. But I definitely
(01:09:20):
I love Harley Cameron. I definitely love what she brings
to the table. She's a talented she can sing, play guitar, puppetry, whatever,
she's you.
Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Know, she's great.
Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
She's great, and you know, she had you know, she
had a she had a chance to score a big
win in front of the home crowd, and you know,
kind of sucks that she didn't get it. But like
I said, she's not going anywhere. She's gonna She's gonna
be back. Much like with the Hole Miriam a Tony
Storm thing, this is going to be a few that
will probably be revisited, probably around Grand Slam time. That'd
be kind of cool to see her, you know, win
(01:09:49):
the title there. But overall, good pay per view. You know,
I love ae W's, you know PL's. I think they're
actually pretty damn great. But yeah, it's gonna move on
to our fifth and final segment. We were talking about
how Monday Night Raw we saw Sammy's Ain accept a
non sanctioned match with Kevin Owens got me thinking about
some of the best non sanctioned matches in wrestling that
(01:10:11):
I've watched. We're gonna talk about them. So grab your
favorite snack, grab your favorite high school beverage. Joined me
here in about twenty five seconds, so hey, do not
go anywhere, and we are back with the GSMC Wrestling

(01:11:57):
superstar contract negotiations, consents and new signings. We talk about

Honor to nut professional Wrestling. If it makes major news
in the world of professional wrestling, we talk about it
here on this show. One thousand and ten percent. So

button to the show so you guys can get some

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
We go live.
Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Also upload awesome you know, breath taking videos. Make sure
you guys check those out as well. All right, so
let's going to talk about some of the best non
sanction matches in professional wrestling.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Obviously, you know, when it comes to you know some things.
Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
You know, some of the lists I talk about, you know,
one thousand and ten percent, it's all like, you know,
it's all opinionated and stuff like that. These are some
of the ones that I watched and I thought that
was pretty badass. We have seth Rolins taking on Triple
H WrestleMania thirty four. You know, it seems like a
nonsanction matches are mostly like, you know, someone's not medically clear,
(01:12:54):
but they want retribution and they want to avenge or
they want to you know, they want rena and then
you know, they end up getting their injury, ends up
getting targeted inside the match. It looks like they're gonna lose,
but at the end of the day, they end up winning.
Much like you've seen this match with seth Rawlins and
Triple H. You know, you know, this honestly made seth
Rowlins into a main eventsor I believe that one thousand
(01:13:15):
and ten percent.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
You know, no shield, no more authority.
Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
You know, Seth Rowlins has always kind of been like
a group kind of guy, and this was kind of
like his coming out party, you know, WrestleMania thirty four,
one of the biggest WrestleManias you know.
Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
In you know, in history, and it was cool, it
was great.
Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
It was about time that Seth Rawlins kind of achieved
himself as like a solid main events or you know,
as the architect, as the when he wasn't the visionary
back then, but you know, it would then propel him
to like become the guy he is now, like he's
a main eventor think about Seth Rowlins, do you automatically
think of WWE championships. Do you think of inter continental
(01:13:51):
you know, maybe the United States, but more or less
you know, universal champion, WWE champion, you think of a
you know, world heavyweight champ being I feel like Seth Rollins,
he accomplished it all and this match definitely did help
in establishing him as his you know, as a solo act. Next,
we had Drake Maverick taking on Mike Bennett in two
O five Live. Drake Maverick was actually an authority figure
(01:14:14):
in two O five Live. A lot of people think
it was a dead show, but I love two WILL
five Line. One of my favorite shows ever on the
w W E everick, I remember all that's I think
they still are on that well, not two of five
Live obviously, but you know, I remember, you could just
I would get lost in the WWE network.
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
I would you know, there.
Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
Was a camp WWE. There was there was this kind
of like story time. I remember that there was Swerve. No, yeah,
I think there was Swerve when they were like driving
and talking about stories and stuff like that. There was
Two of five Live, There was NXC, there was main Event.
(01:14:56):
There was Oh man, I used to, like I said,
I used to just get lost in w W watch
everything and anything, and it was.
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
You know, it was cool. It was a nice school
time in my life.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
I was becoming a wrestling fan again back in twenty sixteen,
and I was just I was just obsessed once again.
I was like, man, why did I stop watching this?
But you know, some of the storylines and stuff like that.
Back in the day, I was like, eh, I remember
watching Russif and uh, you know, Lana and Bobby Lashley
making out.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
And I was like, what the hell is going on?
What is this? I was gonna, No, it's wrestling, guys,
It's it's wrestling.
Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
But you know, the more and more I feel like
Triple H kind of stepped in and more and more
it felt like, you know, Vince McMahon wasn't taking over.
Speaker 2 (01:15:39):
There's still be Sometimes when I would be watching.
Speaker 1 (01:15:41):
The PLS with my wife and you know, we kind
of look at what happened and we're like.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Oh, that was a Vince McMahon decision. Oh no, that
was triple A, you know what I mean. And it's
just I thought it was kind of funny, but you know,
overall a great match.
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
A lot of people kind of did not see cruiserweights
go at it, but I thought this was a nice
little not your average cruiserweight, so I thought that was cool. Next,
we have a non sanctioned match with Kyler Riley and
Adam Cole. Obviously Cold betrayed the Undisputed Era. This was
a nice Whereever reback in Ring of Varna. Also the
p W PWG. Kyler Raley was definitely put over in
(01:16:15):
this match, which was which was great. You know, I
fee I do feel like This was one of the
storylines the reason why Adam Cole kind of called it
quits in WWE because they had so much momentum in
the Undispeeded era.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
I loved the Undisputed era.
Speaker 1 (01:16:29):
I thought they were going to make it onto the
main roster and do some you know, do some damage,
do some heavy stuff, only for them to kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
Just you know, kind of just dip out. You know.
Speaker 1 (01:16:38):
I feel like once when a lot of WWE stars
were starting to wind up on All Elite Wrestling, I
felt like this. I knew I was gonna see Adam
Cole one day on there.
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
I knew it. I was like, you know what, I
don't like this storyline.
Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
How you know, you betrayed Kyler Riley and then you know,
betray you know, all of his you know, foes and stuff,
like all his friends, and it just didn't really seem
like he was working.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
And I hated it.
Speaker 1 (01:17:00):
And once when they wanted to make Kyle Riley into
a single star as well, they were like, oh, let's
just have the you know, Adam Cole, I get jealous
and it was just like, I don't know, I wasn't
really the ideal kind of storyline.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
That I would have developed myself if I was like
a WWE writer. But you know, you know he's there,
he's doing good in AEW so.
Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
I especially Coloradley. I love seeing Coloradley on ae W. Next,
we have Johnny Gargano going up against Tomaso Champa when
they broke up once when Tomasco Champa came back kind
of from an injury. This was an NXC takeover New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
I like when these guys.
Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
Like I mentioned before, you know, when it comes to uh,
when it comes to like a feudor rivalry, the best
person to work with is like your best friend, because
you have chemistry, you can trust each other, you know,
to take the bumps, the hits.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
You know, make it look real.
Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
And you know, this was a nice little forty minute
about This was a you know, a pretty good nonsanction match.
I definitely, you know, I was kind of reluctant on
d I a right breaking up. But they had a
nice little had a nice little feud, had a great
match to sum it all up. I remember they actually
tore out the ring Matt and there was like wood
and I think he hit like a I think he
(01:18:10):
had like a power bomb or something on there, and
everybody was like, oh wait, this is a movie, but
oh it was good.
Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
It was good.
Speaker 1 (01:18:15):
It was a nice way to kind of cap off
a cap off a nice little bloodthirsty rivalry between Jonder
Garrano and had some mouslow champa. Next we have John
Moxley taking on Kenyo make Aw four year twenty nineteen
in AEW. They call it a lights out match, not
like a non sanction match. This was Moxley's basically his
debut in ae W, you know, bringing this different kind
(01:18:37):
of hardcore style that he yearned for in WWE, and
you know, he made it to all elite wrestling and
he he did great and the anise this win was
like a huge momentum builder. This set Moxley up on
a wave of a you know, momentum and success. He
later actually defeated Christiercho for the EW World Championship. But
I believe, you know a lot of it did kind
(01:18:58):
of start during this match. It's when Kenny Omega and
John Moxley both pushed each other to the absolute limit.
John Moxley, he was an established guy in WWE, Dan Ambrose,
but he's he was never really like this, Like the
main event kind of like guy like he was never
really like the face of company. So once when he
came to AW they were kind of like, all right,
(01:19:20):
you know, it seems kind of messed up, and it
was like, all right, are you still a WWE superstar
or are you ready to become Walilite, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
And you know, he did great.
Speaker 1 (01:19:28):
He did great, especially with the you know, going into
Moxley's world where he was this unhinged badass. You know,
his singles role you know, as Dean Ambrose as the
moral compass in.
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
WWE wasn't really the best.
Speaker 1 (01:19:40):
But you know, he would always be like he's a crazy, lunatic,
fringe kind of guy.
Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
And it was really unleashed.
Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
As soon as he signed as soon as he signed
with olil Wrestling. In this match with Kenny Omega at
aw Fool Gear twenty nineteen, nonsanctioned or lights out was
you know, was of anger, So I thought that was
pretty cool. Next we have thunder Ross that taking off
Baker aw Dynamite. Both of these women obviously just prepared
them for success. They're already successful, you know, A nice
(01:20:06):
little bloody raw here. A lot of people don't see
women in that kind of you know, kind of seeing
that notion in terms of in terms of bleeding, but
auliterately wrestling. You know, they were really they were willing
to kind of push the you know, Pushiavelo up a
little bit here, and you know, obviously during that time,
Thunderosa huge babyface. Britt Baker was kind of you know,
(01:20:27):
I actually think I've read an article saying that these
girls actually do kind of have beef, like actual beef beef.
Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
But you know, it is what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
You know, it's a you know, a lot of egos,
a lot of animosity inside the ring. So you know,
I do you know, I like Britt Baker d M D.
I also did like thunder Rosa as well. So I
think both of these girls during this match accomplished what
they said to do. You know, they meant to Okay,
we are the pillars in the women's division in ae
W and and they were, and they were and they
(01:20:56):
would go on to do great things.
Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
And I feel like both of them can do great things.
Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
Britt Baker, I feel like she would be an amazing
TBS champion. Maybe she's the next one to kind of
get her hands on Tony Storm. We're still waiting for
thunder Rose. Thunder Rosa a coming back, which I feel
like she's well, she's she's back, but then again, like I.
Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
Don't really see her on Dynamite. I don't really see.
Speaker 1 (01:21:20):
Her, and like I want to see her in a
main event picture because I feel like that's ultimately where
she belongs. But anyways, this match was a you know,
this match was super cool. Is nice and for the
women to kind of go out there and leave it.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
All out in the ring, it's pretty badass.
Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
Next, we have a little preview to what maybe the
lights out match during Elimination Ship is gonna look like.
We have El Generica taking on Kevin Steen ring of
on her Final Battle twenty ten. El Generica was Sammy's Ain.
Also Kevin Stein is Kevin Owens.
Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
This was a you know, another saga for the Sammy's
Ain and Kevin Owens violent. It was a violent masterpiece,
one of the all time greatest ring of matches of
all time. They actually had a little bit of a
hidden stipulation with the El Generico's mask also Kevin Owens
or Kevin Steen leaving the company if you would lose. Obviously,
Generico did get the victory, and it was a nice match.
(01:22:14):
Maybe since you know, he lets Sammy get the first win,
maybe we're gonna see Kevin Owens get the second one. Here,
you know, the best friends going at it, kicking each
other's asses. There's nothing there's nothing better than that. So
I'm looking forward to this match at the Elimination Chamber.
It was it was kind of funny how you know
this popped up on the list, and these guys are
going to be The whole reason why I thought about
(01:22:36):
this list was because of what happened on w w
E Raw with sammy' zay kind of taking a non
sanctioned match with Kevin Owens at Elimination Chamber.
Speaker 2 (01:22:44):
So I thought that was a you know, pretty bad ass.
Speaker 1 (01:22:46):
But let's go ahead and end this list on one
of the most biased picks.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
My two favorite wrestlers in the world.
Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
I believe the greatest non sanctioned match was the Heartbreak Kids.
Sean Michaels coming back from a four year hiatus, breaking
his back with that casket match and the Undertaker.
Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
I didn't think it was gonna come back.
Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
I remember I was watching wrestling and I was like, Okay,
Sewan Michaels.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
Yeah, I remember him a little bit. He was he
was you know, he was he was cool.
Speaker 1 (01:23:13):
He was a badass. And then uh you know, he
comes back. You know, his friend Triple H. You know
he wants to you know, wide open arms, buddy, welcome
back to professional wrestling.
Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
But when Seawan Michaels came back.
Speaker 1 (01:23:27):
Triple H was a whole absolute he was a whole
different person.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
You know, he was the face of the company.
Speaker 1 (01:23:34):
He did not want anybody to get success other than
himself obviously.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
You know, K fave storyline. He was.
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
He was you know, he was very adamant on like
being like just it like w w B champion, Triple H.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (01:23:52):
No runners up, no people who can contend for my title. No,
and no one could really handle my stuff. I am
the game and you don't want to play me, you
know what I mean? Game over pedigree, Bam.
Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (01:24:07):
Uh No, but I two of my favorite wrestlers had
an amazing match at Summer Slam. Super Badass Shawn Michael
is obviously prevailing, you know, showing the world that he
has not lost a step. This was a born shaw
a match for Sean uh, definitely. You know, coming back
from a horrific back injury. I think they slipped the
disc or something like that, and you know, being told
(01:24:30):
that you're never going to wrestle again, or like you
can never get up from out of bed and be
the same, and like one small little move, guess what,
You're going back to the hospital and you may or
may not be paralyzed.
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
You may or may not end up a pair of pelegic.
Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
It was, it was, it was dicey. Dicey was a
ballsy move from Sean. But you know, you have a
huge liking, you have a huge passion for something like
professional wrestling and coming back working with your best friend
like Triple H.
Speaker 2 (01:24:59):
And you know.
Speaker 1 (01:25:00):
You could see it inside the ring that these guys
have amazing chemistry that's not really anything that could be
you know, it's not something that could be swept into
the rugg or anything that's really hidden. But you know,
both of these guys at the top of their game.
Triple H was at the top, Shawn Michaels was showing
that he could still be that heartbreak kid Sewn Michaels,
and this whole storyline thing was it was crazy. I
(01:25:20):
remember you know on Snackdown when they were trying to
decipher who attacked Shawn Michaels, and you know, they had
the you know, the distorted figure, and then they they
enhanced the picture, and then they enhanced the picture and
then the guy was you know, it had like a
triple h shirt. He had a sledgehammer, and then that
was like, what the hell, Hunter it was you and
(01:25:41):
then all of a sudden triple.
Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
It and then they start battling out.
Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
It was you know, it was pretty It's pretty damn entertaining.
It was definitely, you know, back in that day, I
was a huge, you know, wrestling fan.
Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
I remember wrestling fan the whole life.
Speaker 1 (01:25:51):
But this match, I remember watching this match and it
was pretty damn sack. It was pretty awesome, all right.
I hope you guys enjoyed the show. Hope you guys

I don't want to go
