So let's send in those super chats to those superstickers,
because you guys are super awesome at Together, we will
make sure this podcast is one of the best wrestling

(04:47):
podcasts ever. Okay, it's going to jump on into some
WWE Monday Night Raw.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
It was a good one.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
It was obviously you know, the Monday Night Raw before
the WrestleMania. It's you know, it's a go home show,
Go home show, live in Sacramento, California, airing on Netflix.
Guta comes out right off the bat. Michael Cole said
he was supposed to interview him, but he didn't want
to wait.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
He said, screw your questions, screw your questions. I gotta
be honest. I kind of thought I thought that was
funny as hell.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
You know, later on in the show, you know, we
had Jay Usso give a promo, so both the men
you know, had to get off whatever they had to say,
you know, you know, off their chest. There was no
silly fight where referees would have to come in and
break it up. And we didn't see our weekly our
weekly visual, or we didn't give a chance to see
Kenny Dykstra, Jamie Noble or Jason Jordans, So that was

(05:38):
kind of sad. Definitely love seeing those guys. So you know,
there's gonna be a good old dogfight, good old fashioned
dog fight. Gut thro one thousand and ten percent looking
more focused now more than other Jay as well, I
would say at this point in time, they do seem
they do seem kind of equal.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I know a lot of people are banking on Jay Usso.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Winning the match at Mania because he has so much momentum.
It really make no sense to you know, to to
slow it down, to slow it down a thousand percent.
I actually saw something online that Rikey she was basically saying, Hey,
if you're doubting son, talking crap of my son. I
think he was talking, or think more or less, he
was kind of commenting on the like on some comments
that Kevin Nash said about his son that he looks

(06:19):
like he needs to hit the gim. That's the reason
why he watched the spear and watch the jump over
the ropes or whatever.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
So he's seemed like.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
If you want to meet me anywhere, you know, we
can throw it out. And I'm like, damn, dude, rikey,
she's still throwing that stinkface. Bro, that's good. You know,
imagine doing that like in a random fight. That would
be so weird, so awkward. Anyway's moving on. He says
he's gonna beat the holy hell out of Jau So
he's gonna call his mom the next day. Basically tell
him how proud he is of doing what he did.
And you know, I this match it needs blood. I

(06:51):
feel like this match, definitely a thousand and percent needs
a little bit of blood just for like the angle.
You know there's the ultimate bad guy, and you know
it was de Thrones Cody Roads, which is which is
a chance? You know, I would say that main event
is you know, more or less a little bit more
unpredictable than the j Usso Gunther fight, which kind.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Of sucks for Jay. You know, he won the World
Rumble a lot.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I got a lot of hate, a lot of baggage online,
only to find out that you're not really going to uh,
you're not going to main event none of the WrestleManias.
Like he's main event jus and he does not get
to main event any of the WrestleManias, not Night one,
not Night two, which is kind of troublesome. You know,
that kind of sucks. Maybe it's a little foreshadow because
you know, Las Vegas, although you know it's the city

(07:35):
of dreams, it is also you know, city of h
you know, nightmares or whatever like that. You know, you
gamble too much and then sometimes you go home without
the ded your house or something like that. So, you know,
maybe kind of foreshadowing to some bad news happening at WrestleMania.
You know, I hopefully, you know, I hope, I hope
that this WrestleMania is definitely different from all the rest

(07:58):
the past couple of WrestleManias. I gotta be honest, you know,
it seems like every WrestleMania seems to pander too.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Seems to pander to the good guy, you know, more
or less.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
And you know, with the Rock taking over, obviously the Rock,
he's in showbiz a lot of movie cinema, maybe more
of a kind of you know, kind of a darker side,
but eventually, you know, the anti hero or the hero,
you know, they prevail in the long run. Missus Triple
H's second WrestleMania under the Triple H Paul lavec Era.
If you kind of have most of the bad guys,
you know, win at WrestleMania, I would feel like, and

(08:30):
I'm kind of thinking about it right now, you would
get a lot more storylines, You'd get a lot more
positive bookings. You can definitely move a lot of characters
around on the roster. With the WWE draft coming up, too.
I think late April or early May it should be.
You know, it'll make things a little bit more. I
don't know. I feel like it would have popped more,

(08:51):
but that's just my opinion A thousand and ten percent.
If you guys disagree or agree, make sure you guys
hit up those super chats and you know, tell me
how you feel.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Takes on Lift Morgan.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
You know, Racyle Rodriguez tried to get involved, tried putting
Lift Morgan's foot on the boat on the rope. Obviously
botch that, but you know, it it ended how I
expected it to end. You know, I knew that this
would end in chaos, and I know that Libra Valchkaria
and Bailey are still trying to kind of build up
their repertoire of being a tag team, you know, after
winning that Gauntlet match on SmackDown. But although it was

(09:23):
a decent match, it was a good match. Next, we
have a Bianca Belair promo basically saying that hey, if
you don't like the truth, either way, you got to
handle it. I got to handle the intal trips bet match. Now,
maybe that encourages her to like beg borrow and steal
a little bit more possibly, you know, that could happen.
But Bianca Belaer. I feel like at this point in time,
with everything going down with Naomi in the way that

(09:44):
Jade Cargole is being pushed by WWE, I you know,
something needs to give. I personally did not like the
fact that Bianca wasn't involved in the Jade Cargole be
you know, her being thrown through the windshield of an
escalator whatever. I was kind of ye, I was kind
of sad that Naomi solely like kind of took the
blame in that. But I feel like, you know, she's

(10:06):
gonna go out there and WrestleMania. She's gonna feel all
the love for Eosky, all the love for Ray Ripling.
She's gonna look at the fans being like, hey, like
what about me? You know, kind of like how Naomi
the reason why she turned on Jade, she was basically
saying that, you know, she stole the spotlight and stuff
like that, or what Jade says is, you know, Naomi's
just upset that she stole the glow.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
But no, it was a you know, this is something
that kind of needs to happen.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Karen Cross takes on aj Styles decent match. I thought
it was great, give it a seven point five out
of ten. Obviously, Karen Cross will also bring out a
darker side of AJ Styles. After AJ Styles wins the match,
Logan Paul comes out to take all AJ Styles to
kind of build up that momentum a little bit. We
got Penta taking on Finn Balor in a one on

(10:51):
one match. But then obviously, you know before the match,
a little bit before the match, you had the Judgment
Day take down the wwiter kind of it'll champion backstage Bronker.
So of course, you know, you got to pay your dues,
you gotta accept you know, responsibility for your actions, accountability.
Uh so, you know, ron Baker came out started, you know,
wanting to beat the holy hell out of Finn Balard,

(11:11):
Dominic Masseiro gets involved, Pantsa actually you know helps out Braun.
So then you know, kind of funny how that all,
you know, how that all works out, and then pants
at the end of it, you know, does does does
like a maneuver like I think it was a corky screw.
I'm not too sure. Off the top rope onto all
three of the participants that are going to be in
the match at WrestleMania. So this Intercronal Championship matches shaping

(11:34):
out to be super badass. I can't wait to see it.
Roman Reigns comes out pretty pissed off, absolutely pissed off
a thousands ever, saying he denies Paul Haman the pleasure
of saying his name or giving him the microphone. Uh.
Paul haymant the whole time was looking at Roman Rains like,
you know what's gonna happen next. You know he's gonna
stab Roman Reigns in the back. You know, he was

(11:55):
betrayed by all means, you know, after the way Paul Hamming,
the way he was treated by the why by Roman Reigns.
It's never really been like a cordial nice thing or whatever.
Roman definitely has that philosophy of ruling with an iron fist.
So you know that if that kind of you know,
kind of gives a little bit of the hint, definitely
a thousand and ten percent, saying that I don't give

(12:16):
out favors, I don't take favors. I take what I want.
Roman Reigns acknowledges that Paul Hayman was the one who
owed the favorite of seeing a punk asking him to
be in that wargames match that Roman never basically asked for,
and he's the one who has to suffer, which is true.
Seth Rawlins comes out, seth Rawlins seems like an absolutely
pivotal piece in what's going to happen next. He was

(12:36):
talking about, uh, you know, this will define the future
of the industry. This business dies when people like Roman
reigns and seeing a punk or on top. Always I
have to do what's best for business.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Total foreshadowing one thousand and seven percent.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
This could be WWE obviously yanking someone's chain, but I
feel like seth Rawlins is going to be this second
piece to the Rocks faction, you know, and it's you know,
and you look at his attire. You know what I've
noticed from seth Rawlins's attire. You know, he comes out
the cut off sleeve shirt. You know, when the Rock
comes out, cut off like v neck kutoffs leeve shirt.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
You see.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
I kind of saw and I you know, his attire
that he was wearing all black pockets right here and
here and here kind of looks like the shield looks
a little bit like the shield vest, you know, just
a little bit like just different, revamped, a whole different
style one thousand and ten percent. And if you think
about the people that The Rock has been trying to
trying to include in this faction, Obviously Cody Roads told

(13:40):
him to f off, but now you have John Cena.
Now you might have seth rawlins in, you know, in
this faction from the Rock, and The Rock clearly wants
to take everything away from Roman Reigns.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Going after the WWE Championship.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
I you know it could happen, but I don't think
he I don't think he cares. You know, I feel
like The Rock he's already kind of had his glory
in WWE as a WWE champion. You know, he did
give out that promo the Raw after WrestleMania last year
saying that he wanted to hold Cody's title, but.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
He's the people's champion, and I feel like he wants
to do he stole except on the Solar.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Phrase from The Rock responding to basically all the Cody
crybabies and Cody Roads are taking his place at WrestleMania
to take on Roman Reigns. I got to do what's
best for business. The Rock wants to sit at the
head of the table. I don't really see him relishing
in the fact that he could potentially be the face
of the WWE.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
I feel like more or less.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Right now, he's kind of just building up a bandit
guys that might, you know, might potentially be the future.
You know, you have all these people, you have all
these pieces that Roman Reigns has kind of sprinkled all
of you know, his trust and part of his history
behind Johns. You know obviously you know telling Roman Reigns like, hey,
I'm only here because you can't do your job. You

(14:55):
can't code a promo. And then you know Roman Reigns
at the time when he was the big dog he was,
he was really flustered and really really he couldn't he
couldn't cud have promo to save his life.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
And uh, you know, you have that pivotal piece in
John Cen.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Of course, you know how seth Rawlins is kind of
you know, the brother in arms of Roman Reigns. You know,
they they've they've been together for the whole Shield thing,
the whole reunion, back and forth here and there. But
with Dean Ambrose or John Moxley gone, I feel like
the Shield is dead and you know seth Rowlands said
in an interview on a podcast saying that the only

(15:30):
time and the next time you're going to see the
Shield reunited is at the w WE Hall of Fame ceremony,
which I agree one thousand and ten percent. Seeam Punk
comes out obviously to protect his friend. Seam Punk's downfall
will be his love for Paul Haymond. You know, it's
a lot of I feel like maybe Paul Hayman might

(15:52):
join the Rocks New Crew too, you know, as you know,
as the seth Rawlins guy. Now maybe because it seems
like seth Rawlins he needs a future in the w
w WEE He's been kind of floating around lately. Basically
in the Cmpunk feud, he's down, like he I don't
think he's ever won a match against Siampa he you know,

(16:12):
that cage match, but that was because of Roman. And
then if the tribal chief Roman Rains walks out the
winner with Paul Hayman, all this ultimately seems like an
absolute waste of time, an absolute waste of promos. You know.
I so that's not gonna happen. I know, Roman Reigns
isn't going to win. Seam punk. You know, he's you know,

(16:33):
he's the anti hero, but then again, he has so
much respect for Paul Hayman. I feel like it's gonna
be the downfall, you know. I thought it was kind
of cool how Michael Cole at the end of the
at the end of the promo when Seth Rowlins hit
Roman Reigns in the back with the chair, he was like, oh,
shield chair.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I thought that was pretty bad ass. It was pretty cool,
all I know. A great episode of Monday Night Raw.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Of course, those who you know don't have Netflix and
are watching it through YouTube TV. I hope you hope
you didn't watch the for spoilers. Make sure if you
want to come back and watch it after that would
be absolutely awesome. Make sure you guys sound off in
the comments section. Tell me how you guys feel once

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Some w w E smac down. So uh SmackDown began.
It was it was decent, you know, it was a
nice little you know, and since Seattle, Seattle, Washington. I
love the pairing the you know, Joe Testatorian Raid Barrett.
I definitely think they're, you know, pretty badass Randy Orton,
it comes out obviously talks to Nick Aldis about his

(20:58):
future in WrestleMania forty one. Seems like it's not really
gonna be there. But of course, you know one, you know,
the person that answers or interrupts the promo ultimately is
the match that he's gonna get. We get Solo Socoa.
You know, I I don't hate Solosic. I like Solo
so CoA. You know, this the whole thing with the

(21:21):
new bloodline thing. I thought maybe he was a little
miss little miss RealMed a little misjudged a little bit.
But if he kind of think about it, Solo Cica
was a huge reason why Room and the Rains turned
into the biggest babyface once when he came back at
Summer Slam last year. It took sol Solo Soca to
be such a I don't want to say the word

(21:41):
because you know, I can't say it, but it took
him to be such a cocky, arrogant, self absorbed, just
a nasty, gross individual that you have to turn on
the TV and kind of see and he's Oh god,
the way he was a running rampant all over SmackDown.
It was. It was a doozy obviously caused all the
wrestling fans to shift over to the favor of the

(22:03):
OTC Roman Reigns. So in the end, you know, Solazakoba,
I feel like he deserves a lot of credit for that.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
You know, wasn't really successful during the whole run.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
He did pin Roman Reigns, you know, went for the
WWE Championship, wasn't really didn't really come in fruition. But
at the end of the day, he put Roman Reigns
on the map as.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
A huge, absolute huge babyface.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
So hey, you know, throwing some throwing some flowers right there,
baby Hell yeah, So we might get Randy Orton take
on solo Soacoba, you know, not really creative. I kind
of don't like it. A lot of people were hoping
for Nick all this to fight Randy Orton at Mania.
I me personally, you know, Alistair Black also being thrown

(22:44):
into mix Russif, who recently signed back with the WWE.
I kind of thought, you know, Sandy Zain hasn't turned
down you know the fact that he might come back
at WrestleMania, you know, for a match he teams up
with Randy Tamataga Solo Socoba, they fight I and then
you know, then bam, you know that that whole thing happens.
Sammy's ay and Roe and Randy Orton get a feel

(23:06):
good win at WrestleMania forty one in Las Vegas. Or
maybe potentially we'll finally get that guy that's been waiting
in the wings for so long, heik Leoh finally making
his debut on you know, cause he's been he's been
on the WWE page for quite some time now. So
that's uh. You know, actually, last time I checked, I
didn't think I saw him. Maybe that they maybe they

(23:28):
changed their mind or tonguelow up maybe, you know, and
then maybe this new Young bloodline you know, starts to
maybe they start to turn around a little bit. But
you know, now it kind of, you know, now it
kind of gravitates towards Jacob Fatoo, which is you know,
more of a you know, more of a better storyline.
And you know, in my opinion, one thousand and ten percent,
so that should be interesting. That should be interesting, all right.

(23:51):
Next we have the Women's Tag Team Gauntlet Match. Of course,
you have the Women's World Tag Team Champions live Morgan
Abrico Rodriguez sitting in ringside.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
So we get Libra Valkyria and Bailey.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
You know, I kind of reiterate on this show over
and over again that I, you know, even they did
this for the men's tag team for a little bit,
for well more than a little bit, for a lot
of bit. You know, you have two singles wrestlers, Bailey
in the main event. The mid card title looks so
weak that you have to put Libra Valkuria in a

(24:24):
te world tag team. She's not finding anybody at WrestleMania,
which is awful, which is absolutely awful, which should not
be you know, they shouldn't be like that. It should
not be like that whatsoever, you know. So now you
have a GOLLA match. First, people coming out Pure Fusion
Collective without Sony Deville doesn't really have that same vibe.

(24:44):
They still lost, so they I guess they're still sticking
to their m O. You know, I'm just kidding, no,
I you know, and I say this with a heavy
heart because I love Shanna Bezel and I love Zoe Stark,
and I thought this PFC formation with Sony Deville was
going to be so much more successful, and then it
actually kind of you know, turned out to be, which
is a damn shame, a damn shame. One thousand and

(25:05):
ten percent they get eliminated. Bailey and Labra Valkuria are
still alive. Natalia Maxine Dupre, they get knocked out easily. Actually,
Natalia was actually seemed kind of furious with the Maxine
Dupre and her decisions during the match. Next come out
Kayden Carter, Katana Chance and the actual tag team of
the Tag Team Gauntlet Match, and they lost as well,

(25:28):
So I thought that was crazy. Meet Chin and b
Fab they come out too as well. They lose, and
you know, finally at the end we get the secret Herves,
Piper Niven and Alba Fire with the Chelsea Green Obviously, yeah,
they didn't really work out. Bailey and Labra Valkuria win
the Gauntlet Match. They will be taking on the world
you know, Women's Tag Team Champions, which I feel like

(25:50):
will be a nice little segue for you know, I know,
you know reason that you've seen the posts by Becky
Lynch saying that I hate wrestling. I don't want to
come back. That's just guys, come on, let's be smarter
than that. We're wrestling fans. We've heard worse and then bam,
they're at WrestleMania. I feel like, ultimately, you know, Becky
Lynch and lyra Vel Kuria, I feel like they'll win

(26:14):
this match at WrestleMania. You know, Dominic Mysterio will be
ringside with Live Morgan Ambracao Rodriguez. Last time you saw
Dominic Masterio throw through the cage door into Becky Lynch's face,
causing costing her the WWE Women's World w h champion,
so poetic justice she comes out to help take out

(26:37):
Dominic Mysterio and like keep it, keep it like a
keep it like an honest match, how you know. I
feel more confident that, you know, with the belts being
on Morgan and Raquel, but they had a reign before
that lasted. I think like like forty days, so it
wouldn't really surprise me if they dropped the belts here.

(26:57):
And it looks like Judgment Day is literally on the
edge of imploding with Dominic Mysterio feuding with Finn ballor
you know, with you.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Know, Jady McDonough out, Finn Balad does not.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Want to add another member. It's all over, it's done,
it's done. It's just gonna be hopefully at WrestleMania maybe
this will be the end of the Judgment Day. And
I say hopefully not because I hate everybody in Judgment Day.
It's just that this been this has been dragging, it's
been dragging off for so long. You cut out where
I Ripley, you cut out Damian Priest, you cut out Ultimately,
the soul that Judgment Day is Finn Balor, the leader. Absolutely,

(27:31):
I'm gonna eraw. In many cases, has looked like, you know,
pissed off teenager not getting what he wants, and you know,
he looks weak. He doesn't look like a like a
manaventor like a lot of wrestling fans do. For me personally,
I love Finnballer. I would love to see him hold
a w w EE championship once again. But you know this,
Finn Balor, this whole Judgment Day thing, it's it's bad,

(27:53):
and you know it's only gonna get worse.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
One of those things where you rip off the band
aid fast.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
If the longer you're keeping on the more it's going
to to hurt your products. So you know, they were
you know, pretty pretty crazy, pretty crazy, but you know,
we shall see what happens. You know, at WrestleMania, Charlotte
Flair attacks Tiffany Stritton out you know, out in the backstage,
not backstage, but you know, out in the parking lote.
You see Tiffany Stratton screaming her head off. God me, like,

(28:17):
you know, it's just like oh God, Like after this promo,
I kind of knew that. I was like, all right,
all right. Backstage you have Tiffany Stritton and Charlotte Flair,
you know, working side by side.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
They're literally probably like this.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
You know, the more and more you're like this, the
more and more you can kind of, you know, joke
about things that are actually kind of real, like Tiffany
Stratt bringing up the whole you know, the marriages and
stuff like that, and her dad and her you know,
the alcoholism and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
So you know, and the failed marriages.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
So it's like I feel like both of them really
want this match to be an absolute banger, so much
drama surrounded by it, and they want to steal the show.
And at this point I feel like they did their job.
Two or three weeks ago. I looked at this match
and I was like, dude, give the belt back to Charlotte.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Give the belt back to Charlotte.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Tiffany, you know, she got you' frozen on the mic,
not really knowing how to cut a promo, not really
knowing how to like like kind of stick up for
herself a little bit. And I was like, all right,
something needs to change. I get why, you know, Charlotte
Flay wont to wor rumble now, but now I feel like,
right now the match is fifty to fifty. You know,
it went for me completely, you know, being and I wanted.

(29:28):
I was like, okay, Charlotte should get the belt, But
in reality, I was like, okay, why would they do
this to Tiffany. I feel like Tiffany Stratton and Jay
Usso were kind of stuck in the same boat here,
you know, they were, you know, building up all this
momentum sense they made it onto their respected you know,
brands ever since, you know, Jay Ussa became an event,
ja Uso a single star. I don't know, I just uh,

(29:50):
you know, if Tiffany Stratton drops the belt, I wouldn't
understand it. I wouldn't understand it and ten percent, but
you know, I don't know, ultimately crazy Next to Damien
and Drew McIntyre com face to face, I definitely thought
it was a nice promo to head it into their
street fight at wressel Many. Next we have Ray Phoenix
taking on in Berto Carreo of Los Garza Ligato del

(30:14):
fen Tasma being the Ray Phoenix absolutely impressive, and you
know in Berto's kind of cut, you know, he's being
shut up by Santo's backstage, and of course you have
Andreday kind of coming up and you know, putting the
armor roun, you know, kind of being the big brother there,
being like, hey man, you fought one hell of a
match and it was a.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
It was super awesome.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Chelsea Green takes on Zelina Vegas. Alena Vega gets a victory.
I kind of been you know, I've been banking on
Zelena Vega to get back into like the main main
you know, bookings and storylines on an I on WWE SmackDown.
Uh So, you know, I'd love for her win here.
But since the addition of the secret hervis, I kind
of feel like maybe now they're kind of banking on

(30:52):
a long run by Chelsea Green. You know, I feel
like lyra Valkurio will drop her title before Green does,
because now she has backup, Because before I was like, okay,
Piper Niven. You know, Chelsea Green treats Piper Kniven like trash.
And you know, Piper Knivven's gonna snap bam cost her
the title. She'll drop it to somebody. But now that
it's like, you know, now that it's like a thing,

(31:13):
a woman faction on SmackDown, I feel like, you know,
it's not really gonna hurt title rings, not really gonna
go anywhere, but de len Vegas is fighting in the
championship match would be a you know, pretty pretty bad ass. Next,
we see a promo between Jade Cargo and Naomi. It
was good, it was good, you know, it served as purpose.
I do like this new darker side in Naomi. I

(31:35):
kind of do. I kind of hope she does pick
up the win here, you know, and you know I
think their matches, no, their matches Night one no or
Night too, I'm not too sure.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
I gotta double check that. And then if you have,
you know, Bianco bell.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Ara help Naomi out, that would be pretty badass and
you know, kind of building up toward their heel as
a you know, as a woman's tag team run and
they can actually go after the Women's World Tag Team
Championships would be a you know, pretty damn interesting. It
would be pretty cool. Next, we got to hear from
the w w E undisputed Champion, Cody Roads, and you know,

(32:09):
this is this problem was basically just to keep sending
up the main event for a night too, you know,
basically talking about everybody's quest as the WWE Championship, talking
about the Spinner Belt, you know, and the way student
and the ultimately the way Cody Roads was kind of talking.
It kind of seemed like he left a lot of
doors open. And when I mean what I mean by
that is like when you kind of have these open

(32:30):
ended statements where you say something and then you're like, okay,
you know, Cody Roads along the lines turns heel. Then
he could be like, oh my god, we should.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Have all seen it coming.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
So, you know, then he was like praising Sena a
lot as well, saying that he fights with his you know,
fights with his heart and you know, and that's a
you know, that was basically it Cody Roads typical babyface promo,
did what it had to do, but it's you know,
seems kind of bad. As John Cena will be on
smack Down next week. We also have a do I

(33:03):
read this right? The Men's Andre, the Giant Battle Royal.
We got some only the Vega Kasana chance in Kittie
Carter taking on Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervis. And
we have a WWE Championship match for Street Profits and
Motor City machine Guns, which I kind of hate. I
feel like this match should have been on WrestleMania. I
really thought that they were gearing up toward like a

(33:23):
fatal five way or four way ladder match or something
like that, you know, like why not? Why not? I
want this match to be screwed up so freaking bad.
I want pretty deadly out there. I want diy lows
Garza come. I want to see everybody out there. This
is a damn shame that we did not get this
tag team ladder match because it's been such a The

(33:46):
tag team division on SmackDown has been absolutely on fire,
and it seems like that fire quickly quickly fizzled out,
which which sucks.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Oh I so hey, do not go anywhere.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
We're gonna talk about some ae W Dynamite spring break
through preview, So grab your favorite snack, grab your favoriteigh
school beverage. Joining me here in about twenty five seconds,
So hey, do not go anywhere.

ae W spring break in which you can't wait for.
Like I said, make sure you gets hit at the
tips and donations link at the g SMC podcast dot net. Alright,
so we got it coming Wednesday. You know what that means?
Aw Tatamite is live and I don't know where they're at.

(36:19):
Damn it, I got where are they? New York? I'm
just kidding, no, but ultimately can't wait for this. I
think it's going to be super super duper badass. And
you know, whenever AEW does these like little you know
pls and pay per views within the week, I like it.
I feel like it's you know, it lives up to

(36:40):
the potential, you know, one thousand and percent with all
the you know, with the pls, aw is actually super
damn good. A lot of people did hate, uh, you know,
the recent pay per view, but you know, I I
thought it was great. You know, the whole Swerve and
the John Moxley finished at the end with the Young Bucks.
You know, you couldn't really expect Swerve to win that match, Like,
come on, let's all be real here. But you know, ultimately,

(37:02):
we have today some we're out today. On Wednesday, we
have spring break in all right, without further ado, we
have the Boss, the Final Boss, the CEO, Mercedes Monet Belts, Money,
what's her name, three dot four belts or whatever, taking
on the longest reigning Ring of Honor Champion Athena. This

(37:23):
match is you know, there's a reason why this match
is in the own heart. You know, a lot of
people want it. Everybody wants to see it. But you know,
the titles obviously they do get in the way. So
this is a nice way of kind of ultimately doing it.
You know, obviously Athena taking on you know, defeating Harley Cameron,
Mercedes Monette defeating Julia some you know, and Jamie Hayter

(37:46):
is actually Jamie Hayter on the other side. Who's the
Oh god, who's the other one that's gonna bother me
all day?

Speaker 2 (37:52):
So at this point, you know, Billy Starks, you know, lost.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
I was like, it would be kind of interesting to
have her go against Athena in the finals, you know,
the whole minions and all that kind of stuff. But
now you know you have Mercedes one day, you're gonna
get the one hell of a match. Obviously, like I
said before, this is something the fans been dying for
and we're gonna see it on Wednesday, So make sure
you guys definitely check that.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
We have the Death Rids defending.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Their ae W World Trios Championships against the Ops, you
know recently. Obviously it sucks Pack. You know, he's been injured,
so John Ox's gonna have to do double duties to
kind of keep the Trios championship. But you know, you know,
going up against the Ops, you know, I I like,
you know, I like their chances. I almost think with

(38:37):
Ae w all In kind of rearing around the corner,
that they're going to start taking some gold off them.
And you know with the Ops, you know, being this
new Fresh not trilogy, with this, you know, being a Trios,
it's perfect. It's perfect. And then you know, if the
title is going to change hands on Wednesday, it's gonna

(38:58):
be the Trios Championship. But yeah, like I said, Pack
is injured. Sucks had that match with Swerve Strickland on
Wednesday Night Dynamite last Wednesday, and you know, I guess
he like messed up his leg or something like that.
But I guess a swerve, you know, I guess when
you know reports say when he was pinning Pack, he.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Kind of apologized and say, hey dude, you know ultimately, you.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Know, I kind of messed up. So now we have
Pac on the shelf, on the injury reserve. Also on
the injury reserve from the don Kallis family, we have
Margie Davis and you know, they were building up such
a momentum from the don Kallis family and now you
got one guy down and also gone from ae W
as of right now, Orange Catsidy Orange Cassie with a
torn pectoral him Davis. Davis actually has a broken broken

(39:43):
foot he suffered in this match against Powerhouse Hobbs. So
now we have you know, Orange Cassidy with the torn peck.
Both of them gonna be out for quite some time.
Pack actually was out last summer for quite some time,
seven months, seven months, So you know, that is a
that's not good. That kind of sucks for ultimately for
your you know, your momentum. From the man's side, we

(40:04):
have the owen Hart Cup. We have Will Ospre the
Aerial Assassin taking on one of the don Kallas family members.
Kenoska Kashna can't wait to see this match. This match
is gonna gonna be super badass. I don't think it's
gonna be the main event. I really do hope the
girls match is gonna be the main event. But you know,
I don't, you know, to Keshna to kind of ultimately,

(40:25):
you know, kind of feel a little bit of more
fire into don Kallis family. Maybe wins this match, but
I ultimately feel like whoever wins this match will determine
who is that wild card spot.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
If will Osprey wins, he takes on No, he goes
to the finals. He goes to the finals, and the wild.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Card you know which you know, I'll just go ahead
and you know, goes up against the hang Man An
and Page on Wednesday. You know, hang Man, like I said,
not really a babyface, not really you know, not really
like you know, he's not really a heel or anything
like that. So like I said, if if Will LOFs
Spry wins, I feel like they need to kind of.

(41:08):
But then again, John Moxley, the leader of the Death Rider,
is the aw World Heavyweight Champion. Is really he takes
the cake in terms of, you know of basically all
the heels. He stole the thunder away from the whole
EVP storyline with with Okata and Jack Perry running rampant
all over Dynamite and ever since, Sean Moxley came back
and formed the Death Riders, turned his back on Brian Danielson.

(41:31):
You know, they kind of head for the hills, you know,
the you know, the young Bucks were like the EVPs
are like, oh, we can't outshine this, you know, and
then they ran the New Jaman Professional Wrestling only flat
in two matches, winning the iw GP, I think the
tag team titles and then losing them. So you know that,
you know, love for Matthew Nicholas Jackson. Love for them
definitely a thousand and ten percent. It's not that I

(41:51):
don't like them, I just don't really like them as heels.
They It just doesn't it just doesn't really fit, man Like,
It's just I don't know it is what it is though.
But ultimately the match between Osprey and Konoski Takesha will
determine who this wild card, who this wild card will be,
and just you know, mostly thinking about it, who's it
going to be?

Speaker 2 (42:08):
I have a couple of no thank you, no thank you.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
Definitely no Scapego Jack Perry, don't want to see Jungle Boy,
you know in the Owena Hart Couch, you know.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
Tournament obviously with the EVPs coming back.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
And you know the band is coming back together O
Kata and you know, I'll be crazy if the Death Writers,
you know, kind of falter at the end of all
in Texas and then you see the Eleague come back.
You know, I'd be like, oh okay, and then they
you know, they kind of come out from under the
troll Bridge, and you know they show that that would
be so weak, that'd be so that'd be pathetic, that
would you know, that would suck for the wrestlers involved.

(42:44):
You know, that'd be crappy storyline writing, that would be
absolutely awful. But I do not want to see Jack
Perry in that wild card spot. Another no, thank you,
Christian Cage. I don't want to see Christian Cage in
that wild card spot. Obviously, with Adam Copeland getting a
legitimate I think he got legitimately injured in that match.

(43:04):
You know, I think a lot. I think aw was
ultimately building up toward a feud between him and Christian Cage. Again,
both of the men obviously getting older, heading up toward retirement.
Maybe this would have been their retirement match or something
like that. But please don't give me the leader of
the patriarchy, Christian Cage. Don't want to see that.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
Another note, thank you.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
I know he was Owen Hard's best friend and I
know that he was his tag team partner. Don't want
to see Jeff Jarrett in that wildcard spot. I'm sorry.
I'm not really huge, And of course I don't want
to see any of the young bucks Matthew Nicholas Jackson
fighting you know, singles bouts people I do want to see.
I got a yes, please. Josh Alexander makes his debut

(43:43):
in All Elite Wrestling, taking on Hangman Adam Page. Puts
on one hell of a performance, and you know, I
you know, if he picks up the win or maybe
if he gets the loss. At this point, I don't
really think it'd be such a big deal because he's
you know, he's that damn special on Hangman, and the
Page does have a cross to burn. But you know,
of course, even like with John Moxley, so it makes

(44:06):
sense for Hangman Adam Page to move on to take.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
On Will Osprey.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
But you know, Josh Alexander being that wildcard spot would
be pretty bad ass. Swart Strickland that wildcard spot. Definitely,
I would love that recently got a title shot. But
ultimately I do feel like this, whoever is in this match,
besides one person will lose to Hangman Adam Page, why
not have him and Swerve kind of rekindle their you know,
their hatred toward each other. Maxwell Jacob Friedman as well

(44:32):
would be an interesting addition, would be an interesting audition.
Maybe MVP comes up to me and he's like, you
know what, man, I feel so bad. You know what
I'm going to do is I'm gonna put you in
that wildcot spot. I'll talk to Tony Conn I'll make it happen.
And then Ben MJF tries to make the Hurt Syndicate proud,
and you know, it's like and Bobby Lashley's back, so
he's like, you know what proves something to me? And

(44:54):
this is his chanson, you know. Obviously, like I said,
I feel like whoever is in that.

Speaker 7 (44:57):
Wildcot well, wild wild cart spot, we'll lose the hang
man out of page besides one person, and that one
person is Darby Alley, you know, losing.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
His spot to fight at all in obviously the whole
thing with the you know John Moxley, I you know,
I love Darby and he's you know, he's definitely cool,
one thousand percent.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
He's pretty badass.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
But this kind of falls into the category of a yes,
but no, no, but then yes. Really kind of on
the fringe here a little bit. The person to be
thrown John Moxley, the leader of the death Writers. You know,
Darby Alleen. You know I'm not I'm not too sure
how hot I am on this, but you know, every
match that Darby's in is actually pretty bad ass. It's violent.

(45:43):
Him and John Moxley could definitely make this absolute blood bath,
absolute reckoning of professional wrestling, and me, for one, I
would I would like it. It would be it'd be good.
Like I said, I'm you know, on the fridge here
on the fence, you know, yes, but then no, you know,
he's been gone for so long, you know, and then

(46:03):
he's kind of do I I don't more like a
T and T champion maybe, like I don't really see
him as the AW World heavyweight Champion. I'm sorry, I don't.
And it's not that I'm you know, hating on a stature.
I'm five five on a good day. So you know,
us little people could do great things. Look at Ray Mysterio.
But I don't, you know, I'm not too sure if

(46:24):
I want to see Darby in that main event spot,
you know, especially going up against you know, Will Osprey.
It would be an interesting you know, at double or
nothing the final, you know, to have like two absolute
aw baby faces going at it. It would make for
a you know, a much more interesting bout than hang
Man but you know, like I said all along, you know,
for this for me, you know, it's kind of on

(46:45):
the fence.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
It's a yes I want it, it's a no, I
don't want it.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
So, you know, being a little bipolar here at the
end of the show, I'm just kidding. Moving on, all right, guys, Hey,

Welcome back to the g SMC Wrestling Laureate Podcasts, brought
to you the GSMC Sports Network. I'm your favorite wrestling
fan here, Eric Rodriguez, every Monday night live on the
GSMC Sports Network, the GSMC Podcasting Network on YouTube. So
make sure you guys, Superman punched that like to subscribe
button to the show to get some notifications where we
go live and also publish some new content. We talk

(48:20):
about everything in terms of professional wrestling, all the action
inside and outside of the ring, all the backstage curtain calls,
all the rumors, all the drama. We talk about, conspiracy theories.
We talk about superstar and active status, injury updates, contract negotiations, extensions,
and new signings for promotions like wwetae W, New Professional Wrestling,
to Stardom to basically anything under the sun in terms

(48:41):
of professional wrestling, we talk about it here on this show.
One thousand and ten percent. So without further ado, we
have NXT Stand and Deliver predictions. Can't wait to get
on into it. So yeah, it's going to start here,
all right. We have NXC Stand and Delivered this week obviously, Yeah,
you know, in this WrestleMania Weekends, it's gearing up toward

(49:04):
to being like one of the best weekends, especially in
terms of being a wrestling fan. You know, this is
a you know, every single time you turn on the television,
you know, but TNA as well Ring of Honor, make
sure you guys check out those as well. Definitely love
me that. It's kind of crazy how TNA their show
on Thursday is going to be at Las Vegas maybe
maybe hinting at some TNA stars being here at Stand

(49:24):
and Deliver or maybe being at WrestleMania. Maybe you might
see Joe Hendry if you say his name, maybe he
might appear. So, you know, NIXC Standy Deliver can't wait
to see it. But first and foremost, you know, before
we get into it, let's talk about this weekly episode
of of NXT. This is also to go home show
before Sandy Deliver can't.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
Wait to watch it.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
It's going to be awesome. We have a number one
contenders match to determine who's going to take on Ricky
Starks for that NXT North American Championship. Eddie Thorpe takes
on Ethan Page takes on Lexus King takes on Wesley
in a fatal four away match.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
You know, I can I like Eddie Thorpe.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
I do I feel like he I feel like he's
North American Championship material.

Speaker 2 (50:07):
You know, Wes Lee, I feel.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Like I would love to see him fight in TNA
for you know, the X division and Lexis King. He's
the heritage of Championship.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
So I don't really think he's going to pick up
the dub.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
If I had to put my money on anybody, probably
the Ethan Page, you know, the whole repertoire, the whole
you know, the reputation between him and Ricky Starks and
the Revolution. You know, it's it's been quite some time,
so I don't think that could really be ignored. Next,
we have a couple more spots open for the women's
North American Ladder match at Standard Deliver. You know, we're

(50:40):
gonna have another six way match, which is pretty badass.
We have the girls who are already qualified. We have
soul Ruka, we have Easy Dame of the Colon, and
of course we have the you know, Zaria and Kaylannie Jordan.
Definitely hope Kai Lonnie Jordan turns a little bit darker,
a little heel, you know for the ladder match, that
would be you know, pretty bad ass. But names I

(51:00):
might join them. Like I said, we got two spots open.
Karmen Petrovitch would be a nice addition. And I'm not
trying to be meet or anything like that, but the
next two spots, I gotta be on it. It's gonna
be They're gonna be throwaway match, you know, throwaway superstars,
like superstars that aren't probably going to win.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
So and I'm not trying to be mean, not trying
to be mean whatsoever?

Speaker 1 (51:20):
You know is you know, Karmen Petrovitch would be an
amazing champion, But you know, I feel like if she qualifies,
you know, maybe she hasn't out, you know, she hasn't out.
She has a shanty the Adonis and he goes out
and does god knows, you know, hit up with the
chair like I'll protect you, I'll help you out. Then
he ends up screwing over Karmen. So I'm not too

(51:40):
sure how long this you know, that kind of old
you know storyline is really gonna go on. But Karmi
could definitely underland herself in this match. Where's thea hill?
Where has been you know, ever since Chase You disbanded,
she's been nowhere to be seen really really prominent and
live and active on social media. She would be a
great women's North American champion. I believe that a thousand

(52:01):
and ten percent. Like I said, kind of having that edge,
kind of having that presence on social media. Everybody nowadays
has a TikTok, everybody nowadays has an Instagram.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Facebook is a little you know, declining. Do we do
they stud Snapchat?

Speaker 1 (52:15):
I'm not too sure, but you know, the hell would
be an interesting addition. One thousand, ten ten percent Shatzi.
You always have to have the unpredictable, badass kind of thing,
and Shatzi would definitely kind of be that, you know,
that hardcore spot like me Chin was in that first
ladder match to determine the inaugural women's NXC North American Champion.
So it'd be interesting to kind of.

Speaker 2 (52:35):
See Shatzi come in Lola Ice.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
I love Lola Ice, but you know, she's she's had
her chance at the women's NXT World Heavyweights Champion, Women's Champion,
and you know didn't really turn out.

Speaker 2 (52:46):
Her feud, you know, with I don't really see it happening.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
But you know, like I said, there's still possibilities.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
Alicia Edwards from TNA, I feel like with this TNA
and NXT partnership being you know, if it needs to
be successful, it needs to really be circulated and gravitated
around the women's division and there needs to be a
TNH There needs to be a teenage superstar holding an
NXC championship and vice versa, just to make this, you

(53:17):
know a lot more interesting because you know the partnership,
everybody was super excited.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
You know, everybody was, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
Jordan Grace at the you know Women's War Rubble a
couple of years ago was absolute fire. Joe Hendry, you know,
crossing over the line, you know, being in that Battle
Royal to determine the number one contender for Trick Williams
then Trick Williams NXC World Heavyweight Championship. Obviously we saw
Franky Gazarian participate as well. But so far NXC Superstar

(53:46):
is going to TNA. You know, we've got Cora Jaiden,
you know, which is actually you know, she's pretty good
and got the No Quarter Catch Crew and a couple
of other names as well. Tatum Pasley, you know the
list goes on and on, but imagine a championship switching hands.
That would I don't know, I'd be can, you know,
be interesting. And Alicia Edwards would be an interesting She'd
be a great piece. Tessa Blanchard as well. I know

(54:07):
she's achieved a lot of hate online recently. I'm not
too sure how WWE's you know, hung up on it
or not, but it'd be interesting to kind of see
a teenag superstar, you know, kind of being in that match.
On NXT we have Dark State. Dark State is going
to be caught out by the DiAngelo family.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
You know, I dark State.

Speaker 1 (54:27):
I want to believe in them. I do a thousand
of ty percent. I want them to be a thousand
and I want them to be better than Retribution. You know,
no one's gonna be better than this year. Let's stop
that right there. Channing Stacks, Lorenzo maybe finds a way
to kind of stab the Dawn in the back here,
maybe find maybe he's the leader of Dark State, which
would be kind of lackluster.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
I gotta be honest.

Speaker 1 (54:50):
I thought Trick Williams would be revealed himself as the
leader of Dark State, but he kind of got his
his arse kicked by then on NXC, so I'm like,
you know, it looks a little bit too real for me. Next,
we have a number one tag team Gauntlet match. We
have of the No Quarter Catch crew. We got Tyson
and Tyreek, Josh Briggs. We also got Vance and Nico,

(55:11):
Vance and and Jensen. We have Hank and Tank as well.
You know, no Quarter, no OTM, no OTM, which is
kind of shocking, and no Dark State. I feel like
he should have had two guys from Dark State. You know,
when they made their scene on the Onto n XT
they attacked Axiom and Nathan Fraser, the champions.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Why aren't they in the match. Like that's so for me,
that's a red flag.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
I feel like that's a you know, strike one so far,
Neil strike two because that one time that guy came
out and like his mask fell down and he lifted
it up and it covered his eyes.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
And he was like, oh, you know, I was kind
of that.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
I was like, all right, dude, that's that's cool, man.
But you know, we're not playing peekaboo over here, you know,
I'm just kidding. Moving on, so this tack Team Gotlin match.
The winner takes on Nathan Fraser and Axiom at Stand
and Deliver. I, you know, their match with Briggs and
Anymora was amazing. I love that one thousand and ten percent.
But you know, Hank and Tank has been getting a

(56:07):
lot of They've been getting a lot of love on
NXC in terms of you know, fighting matches, regularly, positive bookings.
At this point, I feel like they're, you know, with
the street profits pumping them up, you know, with you know,
Matt and Jeff Hardy and stuff like that. I you know,
it's it's going, it's gonna happen. It's gonna happen. I
feel like, you know, Handkin Tank will win this Gauntlet match,

(56:30):
and we're gonna get like, you know, we're gonna get
the babyface champions going up against these new up and
comers who are not desperately seeking approval kind of thing.
But ultimately, I feel like this should be a good
gauntlet match. A thousand and ten percent. We got my
man Anthony Mazzano in the chat saying, Hi, what's up man?
I hope you're having a good wrestling your weekend. I
hope you're getting pumped. I'm pumped A thousand and ten percent.

(56:52):
I can't wait to watch Wrestlemanium.

Speaker 2 (56:54):
All right, now to the Stand and Deliver.

Speaker 1 (56:56):
We have a triple threat match for the for the
NXT World Heavyweight Championship. Oba Femi defends against Trick Williams
and Jabon Evans. I feel, you know, Javon Evans is
such a great talent, such a great talent, Trick Williams
as well, Oba, But you know, this match is actually
not a huge reason why I'm like going to watch

(57:18):
NXC Sander Delivery, which once again shows how amazing and
dominant is this woman's division, the best women's division in wrestling.
You know, I don't think any wrestling fan could you know,
not say that proudly like I said, Trick Williams, he
becomes NXT champion for the second time, you know, maybe
maybe even make it more interesting if he actually does

(57:41):
kind of be the leader of Dark State. You know,
I know he got his ass kick from them, you know,
last week on NXT, but maybe it was just like
a play, you know, but you know, him coming back
as the top baby face. You know you've seen him
backstage in confrontations with Javon Evans, and it's just, you know,
something needs to change, and he has this new you know,
he has this new you know way that he's kind

(58:02):
of approaching a lot of the younger guys in the
locker room. He feels absolutely misjudged. He feels like he
deserves a championship, and he's not lying. He's not lying,
you know, him against Oba Feming, I feel and but
you know, in a triple to that match, you know,
usually this is the rule of thumb in professional wrestling.
It'll give somebody like like an out to lose the
championship and the WWE Draft right around the corner, Oba

(58:27):
lands on SmackDown e Raw. You know, I feel like
NXC would be you know, would be fine with the
Javan Evans or you know, Trick Williams got a chat for.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Maman Anthony Mazano.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
I think in order for Dark State to be taken seriously,
I think there has to be a way, you know,
they can push themselves into the title match with Trick
Evans and Oba. Yeah, I could. I could see Lennox
kind of doing that, you know, being you know, maybe
he's the leader of Dark State and maybe like a
lot of wrestling media is just like, oh, it's gotta

(58:59):
meet Trick it's got to be trick or you know,
or it's gonna be you know, it's gonna be stacks.
But I feel like it would be one thousand and
ten percent that way. Anthony Mazzona also says, I have
a better I have a better answer, more out there
than I think. Over might be the the leader of
the Dark State.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Let me hear it.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
I would definitely love to hear you know, your opinions
on you guys, you know, let me know what you
guys think of the Dark State. Let me know if
you guys think that their their future is positive. Let
me know if you think there's going to be somebody
you know, ultimately kind of pulling the strings a little bit,
you know, in terms of Dark City, because they definitely
need somebody, you know, like Anthony said, you know, they
need to be taken seriously. You know, this stand and Delivery,

(59:41):
it's the biggest It's the WrestleMania of NXT. It's the
Wrestleman of NXT. This has to be, you know a
reason for Dark States to you know, why were they formed?
Why this and that and the other? Oba Femie Oba femine,
Anthony Mamizano says, Oba Feming. I I would love I
feel like that would be great for Oba. You know,
he was the first one targeted and attacked. But you know,

(01:00:03):
all three of these men they've been attacked by Dark States,
so you know, obviously you know, conspiracy theories are still
up and rioting up in the air. Oba Feming would
be an absolute he Oh my god, imagine such a
dominant faction. It would bring such a prestige to the
too Dark State that a lot of fans probably wouldn't
wouldn't really see coming. And like I said, you know,

(01:00:24):
like you know Oba being the first one attack, that
could also be a reason why you can think to yourself, no, wait,
that can never happen. But then you think about it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
He was the first one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Attacks, be like you know, maybe he was like, I
want you to set an example. I have a bad
Nigerian accent. I'm not even gonna try. He's like, may
you guys need to set a good example. Take me out,
show me how strong you are, show me how strong
you can be, and then lo and behome. You have
the leader of Dark State there. That'd be pretty bad ass.
Who do you think when's the ladder match for the

(01:00:55):
North American title, I, you know, being honest, I would
love to see Kaylanie Jordan win, and I would love
to see her kind of take on a different like
a dark persona. You know, she lost a Woman's North
American championship once, she is going to do everything in
her power to never lose it again.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
Because you know, Lolavice said it. I believe she said it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
How you know, Ever since Kaylani Jordan lost the NXT
Woman's North American champion no, I think it was Jada Parker.
Ever since she lost that championship, man, she's lost it,
she hasn't been the same person. She's been a you know,
a different you know, she's been a different style like
you know, she's not she doesn't really have any friends
backstage anymore, that would you know? I would love to
see that for Kielni joining to be a you know,
you know, a winner. Obviously, ladder match would be pretty

(01:01:39):
bad ass. Sol Ruka too. I wanted so Ruka to
be the inaugural one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
I thought that would have been pretty bad ass.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Zaria too. If Zaria is my number three, I would
love to see Saria win that championship. One thousand and
ten percent, so Like I said before, Ricky Saints is
going to be defending his NXT North American Championship at
Stand and Deliver. Obviously, who's want to win that fiddle
four way match. I think Ethan Page picks up the
victory and we gnted Ethan Page first Ricky Stark's you

(01:02:06):
know match at Stand then Deliver.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
Now we're getting down to the teeth of it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
We have Julia Jada Parker, Jordan Gray's, Stephanie Vacuier. This
match is going to be absolutely off the hook. It's
gonna be It's gonna be great. It really is going
to be great. I see three women on here that
are most likely going to be drafted to our SmackDown

(01:02:30):
because you know, the mid card titles on Raw and
SmackDown are. It's in trouble. I don't want to say
it's in trouble because I don't want to like jinx
it because I've ultimately advocated for them to have a
women's in the continenta the United States Championship, and now.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
That they have, they they've kind of dropped the ball
like it's not really ugh.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
Anyways, Stephanie vicaire them when she came to WWE who
was actually given a choice.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
So where do you want to go?

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
Julia back from injury, Jordan Race. I gotta be honest,
I would like to see Jada Parker win. You know,
like I said before, wrestling the rule of thumb, fatal
four way matches, triple threat matches, someone always finds a
way to weasele their way in for the win. And
when I say weezler, I don't mean that she's undeserving.

(01:03:19):
The ultimate opportunistic person, Jada Parker. You know, I would
love that for her. I would love that one thousand
and ten percent. She's been around the title scene for
quite some time, causing fights, being such a huge, huge
piece on the NXC women's roster. You know, you know,
every other episode she she makes the division prominent, she

(01:03:40):
makes her presence known, and you know, her holding the
championship would be an absolute banger, would be badass. And
none of those women's superstar would have an ad, would
have a would have a say so of like a rematch,
They wouldn't they would have a rematch clause because it's
a fatal four ray match. So it would be kind
of cool to kind of see that, you know, ultimately,
you know, happen and yeah, all right, before we move

(01:04:05):
on to our next segment, we got my man Anthony
in the chat.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Did you already talk about WrestleMania and your predictions?

Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
Not yet. I'm actually going to be publishing a video
next couple of days. It's gonna be awesome. Definitely want
to make sure you guys are throw int your WrestleMania
predictions as well. The question is, how do you make
that happen without making Kaylanie Jordan or Stephanie Jordan or
Julia Luke week That's a good question.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
That is a that's a very good question, and.

Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Like with the whole like the fatal four way match,
a triple threat match, like if you kind of find
a way like a usually in wrestling, and you know,
obviously I know you were you know, I know my
man is a wrestling fan as well. You kind of
see just the barrage, especially in fatal four way matches.
You see like a barrage of everybody hitting their finishing move,

(01:04:57):
you know, and then I don't know where, somebody comes
up pushes one of the girls outside the ring and
then you know, covers you know the person that you
know that just.

Speaker 6 (01:05:05):
Got the finishing moon landing on and I feel like,
you know, if she gets a cheap win like that,
that would I don't think that would make them look
going to make Jordan or Sephanie or Julia look weak
at all.

Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
I don't feel like that would, you know. I feel
like you'd be like, oh, Jana Parker, you know, all
put it ultimate, ultimate opportunistic person, kind of like how
Edge won his you know, WWE Roads Heavyweight Championship. I
feel like, you know I. But then again, I'm high
on Jaena Parker. I feel like she's great, She's paid
her dues in NXC. I do feel like she deserves

(01:05:38):
she deserves a title run definitely. All right, guys, so hey,
do not go anywhere. We get our fifth and final segment.
Like I said before, John Cena is in his retirement tour,
so let's go in and talk about the worst retirement
tours in wrestling history. So grab your favorite snack, graby,
favoriteige school beverage. You join me here in about twenty seconds.

Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
So hey, do not go anywhere.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
Sat s.

Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
All right and rear back with the GSMC Wrestling. Loia
podcast brought Teople to the GSMC Sports network. I'm your
favorite wrestling fan here, Eric Rodriguez, every Monday through Friday,
every Monday night. I always want to say that. I
don't know why it used to be Monday through Friday,
but you know, with you know times and you know,
getting a couple of jobs that support the fan BAM. Obviously,
you know gotta gotta pay I gotta pay your dues,

(01:07:33):
so you know, make sure you guys, you know, Superman
punched that like a subscribe button to the show, so
you guys can here some notifications. When we publish videos,
we talk about all things wrestling, all the action inside
and outside of the ring, backstage curtain calls, all the rumors,
all the dramas, all the conspiracy theories. We talk about
superstar and active statuses, injury updates, contract negotiations, extensions and
new signings. We talk about everything under the sun in

(01:07:54):
terms of professional wrestling. Promotions like ae W, Tenay, Ringo, Varner, WWE, NUT,
professional wrestling started, you name it. If it makes major
news in the world of professional wrestling, we talk about
it here on this show, one thousand and ten percon
All right, without further ado, we got my fifth and
final segment. We have the worst wrestling retirement tours, and

(01:08:17):
there's a lot of them. You know, it's crazy because
I feel like there's more more than less, and you know,
that's a damn shame. But I feel like a lot
of the reasons are and I'm gonna talk about it
in this segment, is you know, the way the WWE
has been, you know ran, you know, with the whole,
you know, with Vince McMahon and you know, with him
not wanting to you know, you know, kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
Having this tribal commitment between wrestling brands.

Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
All year a WWE fan, you'll never hear a WWE
guy on you know, AWT and a Ringovano, et cetera,
et cetera.

Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
And I feel like that hurt the talent. That hurt
the talent a thousands of type.

Speaker 1 (01:08:53):
You seem a lot of talent like I'm going to
talk about today that left WWE because they weren't really
into it. They were forced to have their retirement matches,
their retirement tour outside of WWF slash w WE that
they ultimately built up their name and and it kind
of went down in fame and it just wasn't really
just wasn't really no whenos this wasn't really WHENO I

(01:09:16):
got my man Anthony Mazano into chat. How do you
how do you make the ending for John Cena and
Cody Rhodes not predictable?

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Predictable?

Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
Yes, yeah, thousand and ten percent. There are a way
you can make it entertaining because we already know John's
going to win his seventeen title. And that's true, that's true,
one thousand and ten percent. I was actually thinking about
this the other day once when he turned John Cena heel,
I ultimately kind of felt like that was going to

(01:09:48):
just throw everything out the window. Have a babyface versus
baby face in the main event of WrestleMania, forcing fans
to kind of, oh, you know, who do I choose?

Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
Who do I choose?

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
And then maybe you know, I think Cody Roads picks
up the win. The men shake hands in the middle
of the ring. John Cena looks Cody Road's dead in
the eyes and he says, hey, it's your business now, kid,
and then bam, rights off to the sunset. Everybody respects
John Cena seventeen championship.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
Hey big whoop. But now it's like you kind of
have to make John Cena win like when Anthony was saying, like, I.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Don't really see a reason why, Like I don't think
John Cena has been you know.

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
It's not it hasn't been a bad retirement tour.

Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
It really has not been.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
You know, I feel like you ever really gotten a
lot of retirement tours like this. And same thing with
the Rock, you know, the Rock.

Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
We have not seen the Rock since Elimination Chamber, you know,
and yet every single time someone mentions what's gonna happen
in the minivent of WrestleMania, Oh the Rock, this the
Rock that like he hasn't been around the whole European tour.
He wasn't even there and that sucks for the w
W and that sucks for the fans. So you know,
is you know, is this thing being really taken seriously

(01:10:56):
or into consideration that John Cena is not gonna win
the belt because you know, like I was talking about
it earlier today, I feel like the Heel should absolutely
dominate this WrestleMania. I think they should absolutely smoke the
baby Faces, absolutely smoke him definitely that, you know, because there's.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
More storylines to go from that.

Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
Like I love Jay usso, but nah, give me Guta retains,
Guta retains lud big Kiser gets involved. There's something, you know,
I you know, Jimmy Usso turns his back around his
brother something. Definitely, I don't think the hatred for John
Cena is fair. It's not his fault that John that
Vince was pushing him the way he did. True, true, true.

(01:11:37):
John never asked for that. And the accusations from friends
that John Barry talent is unfair because people worked with him.
Wade Barrett said it wasn't John Cena's fault that Nex's
didn't work out, and I, you know, I get this
a lot of thought and consideration. I definitely think that
John Cena, you know, I thought it was kind of

(01:11:59):
cool because you have like you, like you were talking
about like all the naysayers of people being like, oh Johnsena.
The only reason why he is in the position that
he is right now is because he stepped on everyone's
face coming out of the coming out of the tide pool,
you know, drowning other people. You know, you can go
one way and be like at that time, John Cena

(01:12:19):
was young too, John Cena, he was looking to be
the face of the corporation, like like Anthony said, like
Vince McMahon, he saw John Cena as like as like
an I soul, like like like a puppet.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
Kids loved him, kids admired him.

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
There's a lot of wrestling fans in the stands today
because of how great of a baby face John Cena was.
And you know, John Cena, maybe he was just following orders.
Maybe he's just following orders, you know, having somebody like
John Cena trying to fill in their shoes and be like, Okay,
we're gonna have John dropped the belt to this guy
and we're just expecting the company is gonna be fine.

(01:12:57):
What's something that the Rock always said, I'm gonna do
what's best for business, and it was best for business
for Johnson to be on top that long, but there
was Anthony also said there was a people in the group,
this coming from Wade Barrett himself, that wasn't really taking
the gimmick that seriously. Vince said he was supposed to
be the replacement for Kogan, and I can see that.

(01:13:19):
I can see that one thousand and ten percent, you know,
not really shocking me in that, you know, in that
kind of aspect right there. So I agree with that
one thousand and ten percent, So without further ado, we
talked about how bad ass Johnson A's retirement tour has
been so far, Like my man was saying, it hasn't
been bad happy retirement tour, you know, I like I said,

(01:13:39):
and it kind of sucks that there's more or less
kind of bad ones than good ones. John Cena's retirement
tour seeming like it's going actually pretty damn smoothly.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
But we're going to talk about someones that was, you know,
that's been pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
And a lot of these individuals put a lot of
their they put their body through excruciating pain. They've shortened
their lives, they've you know, some of them, you know
they can't walk around without you know, with the cane,
or they can't walk around the house, or can't sit
down straight because their back hurts. You know, they're not
going to be able to you know, dance with their
with their daughter on their wedding day because you know,

(01:14:11):
you have something, you know, your acl has been torn
up so damn much that it's it's beyond recognized, well,
it's beyond a replaceable. You know, some wrestlers they do
commit to to a retirement tour, you know, a way
to celebrate their legacy, but absolutely some leave a bad, sour,
atrocious taste in the back of our mouse. So it's
going to talk about the first one we have, McK foley.

(01:14:33):
McK foley's final match being at the water Rumbo twenty twelve,
going up against Seamus.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
You know, you have the hardcore legend.

Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
This guy had three different personalities dude, love mankind and
the hardcore legend cactus Jack. And he fights a match
against Seamus for his retirement tour like dude, like he
was actually supposed to fight Dean Ambrose, but actually he
Mick foley wasn't really.

Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
Feeling it, so he couldn't you know, he could and
actually commit to that match.

Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
But you know, mcfoley never really had like a retirement
tour that ultimately celebrated his legacy. Like I said, a
lot of this does reflect on how WWE was ran
during the Vince McMahon era, So I can you know,
you can't really be a little bit too you know,
too skeptical about this, but it's also fun to talk about.

Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Mcfoley also had a little small stint.

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
In TNA where you know, he wrestled a few times,
a lot of people were shocked to see mc foley there.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
I believe he was there at the same time as China.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
I think he was. I could be wrong, don't quote
me on that, but mcfoley definitely deserved a way better
retirement tour. Alundra Blaze a Lundra of Blaze as well.
I you know, at Women's Evolution, the first one she
was in the twenty women Battle Royal Match, which was
won by Nia Jacks, which is cool, which is cool,
but Alundra Blaze after everything going down with the Monday
Night Wards where she trashed the WWF Women's Championship on air,

(01:15:52):
and then you know, it comes back to WWE and
it's just like this could have been done a lot better.
Obviously it was, you know, later on down the line
she had that was I believe in two thousand and
oh god, I can't eighteen though. I could be wrong,
but I believe, you know, because she's a Hall of Famer.
She's a Hall of Famer as well.

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
She deserved a.

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
Way, way, way, way better retirement to her than, you know,
than a lot of these you know, superstars actually get
got into the chat from my man, Anthony Foley was
dealing with a lot of issues health wise, which I
agree with when you know, when it came to a
ton of injuries, the style of wrestling that he did
finally caught it caught up to him. Now, like I said,

(01:16:32):
a lot of these guys put each other, put themselves
through excruciating pain to entertain the fans, and I you know,
he came back. He was he was a general manager
of Raw obviously being seen under Stephanie McMahon.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
That was cool, and oh I thought that was you know,
I thought that was pretty dope.

Speaker 1 (01:16:48):
But I just god, like I said, do love mankind
and cactus jacket then like going out like that in
the match. His last match, being against Shamus, was actually
you know, a little lackluster, but you know, some people
might have thought it was great, you know, like I said, opinionated, subjective,
thousand and ten percent.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
Next we have Ron Simmons. Ron Simmons.

Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
His final match was in a twenty twelve indie event
after being released by w w WEE. He teamed up
with a random tag team teamed up with grand Master Sex,
a of Too Cool. Obviously. You know, if you're part
of the attitude or fandom, you get that you understand,
but did like, oh god, what could we really say
about Ron Simmons leaving the world wrestling? You know, he

(01:17:30):
was he was you know, he was an icon, the
Ministry of Darkness, that we are the nation of domination.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Basically when he.

Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
Went out, look at the Look at what it says
on his shirt, guys, damn, Like that's why you could
really say, like I wanted to see the Acolytes one
final time, him teaming up with JBM. That should have
been the That should have been his retirement match. I'm sorry,
it should have been a retirement match. Thousands and ten percent.
You know, a couple of cameos on wrestling on Raw

(01:18:00):
Snackdown events just backstay saint, damn, you know, and you
couldn't really give him a tag team match with like
his partner and like little Lock.

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Like I said, it kind of sucks.

Speaker 1 (01:18:12):
Next, we have this man, Hulk Hogan, wrestling icon from
the eighties. You know, found his run in TNA Maximum Impact.
He teamed up with James Storm and Sting where they
fought I think jer I'm not too sure, but he
wrestled Sting at Bound for Glory in twenty eleven. That

(01:18:34):
should have ultimately been his retirement match. It was a
little slow. It was a little slow, but it could
it just just all downhill, you know, all downhill. I
feel like, you know, you know, I've been wrestling fan,
you know, I remember watching Hogan Knows Best and just
like kind of watching everything go down with the family.
Then later on in Live a lot of these public
scrutinies and like being and then everything with the whole

(01:18:57):
political thing, and I'm just like, can't and can't any
man really trash his legacy. What he did in WWE,
you know, but he did in WWF was amazing, w
CW Hollywood, Hok Cogan, he was great. Well, you know
at the end he started fizzling out and then he
came along with you know, Eric Bischoff, and you know,
Dixie Carter kind of looked at and she's like, oh, sorry, no,

(01:19:18):
thank you. Penda energy out and the teen A was
TNA was ultimately struggling. So you know, ho Cogan, I
gotta be honest, basically based on his wrestling career, nothing
outside none of that BS or whatever, you know, a
wrestling not kind of the eighties, someone that a lot
of these wrestlers looked up to a lot of these

(01:19:40):
fans looked up to. He never got a retirement tour
from WWE based on personal demons, personal you know, self
absorbed and his his his prestigious, his reputation, his legacy.
It took a hit because of it. And you know,

(01:20:02):
it's a damn shame. But you know, in an alternate
world where Hoe Cogan wasn't completely screwed and did you know,
wrapped up things like I would have loved to see
this man have a retirement tour that was actually you know,
people actually gave a damn about but that is what
it is. Randy Savage, another wrestling icon in the eighties,
had a tag team match with the Young AJ Styles

(01:20:23):
and Jeff Hardy at TENA Turning Point two thousand and
four where they defeated Jeff Jarrett, Kevin nash and Scott Hall.
But you know, when I see Kevin Ashton, Scott Hall,
I loved him, loved him and all you know wrestling,
you know, like loyalty and stuff like that. But much
like Hollywood Hok Cogan, much like you know, Randy Savage,
I feel like as soon as w c W, you know,

(01:20:44):
in two thousand and one, you know, kind of fell
off the boat.

Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
There was a couple of guys that was like, dude,
I can't see myself in w W.

Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
E it can and Vincement Graham even you know, with
Kevin Nash and Scott Hall led first. And then it's
just like I said, a lot of this taken into
consideration that Vis mcman and the way he ran w
W throughout these guys his tenure where they could they
could have a thousand of type of cent potentially had
an amazing retirement tour. But you know, based on Vince's ego,

(01:21:11):
all the wrestling egos backstage didn't really come in fruition.
And I feel like Randy Macho man, Randy Savage suffered,
you know, snapping to a slim Jim obviously, you know
rp rest in peace, my man. But you know, he
never really got a retirement tour.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
He did, but it you know he did.

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
But when you think about it from an outside perspective,
you're like, he really did. It couldn't be. Should have
been a lot better, should have been a lot better.

Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
Next, we have the nature boy, Rick Flair.

Speaker 1 (01:21:39):
Obviously a lot of UNWA fans know this guy, and
of course w c W, found his way into w
w E for some for quite some time, made his
way to TNA two, w w E two ae W
and uh, you know, definitely floating around quite a bit
of time, a lot of you know, baggage outside of
the ring. Rick Flah. Rick Flair's last match was so

(01:22:03):
important to AEW that that's what they named the event.
It was Rick Flair's last match.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
I'll fight you.

Speaker 1 (01:22:09):
At Rick Flair's last match, he teamed up with Onrade
and he defeated Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. You know
something that I never really understood about Rick Flair, And
you know, some guys, it's hard to hang up the boots.
I get it, I got the attention, you get the respect,
the money it you know, it's all worth it. It

(01:22:30):
is all worth it. But come on, man, you had
that amazing match at WrestleMania with Sean Michael's heartbreaking you know,
the classic. You know, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, and Rick
Flair's just crying because he knows what's gonna happen to him.

Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Bam, sweet chin music.

Speaker 1 (01:22:47):
I for one was I saw it. I liked it.
I'm a huge Sean Michaels fan. So that could have
been the end of it. That could have rounded, you know,
round of applause. WrestleMania twenty four. WrestleMania twenty four. That's
wrestle It doesn't get any better than that.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
And like, I don't know, U ego, I don't know
what to call it.

Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
Man, it's crazy. Brett Hart teams up with John Cena
have a three minute match with Alberto de Rio and
his manager Ricardo Rode in a BS match in a
twenty twenty one episode of Monday Night Row. Yeah, and
that's not good.

Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
It wasn't good.

Speaker 1 (01:23:29):
Brett Hart had a little run with w W. He
actually won the United States Championship, you know, all good things.
That's cool and a you know, but for me, I
it was sold short. It was sold short. Obviously we
all know everything that happened with Brett Hart and Goldberg,
and it's a damn shame.

Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
I can imagine in the back of Brett Hart's.

Speaker 1 (01:23:48):
Mind, he was like, if I never would have got
that cake from Bill Goldberg, if I never would have
got that cake from Bill Goldberg, he would have probably
surpassed Rick Flair's seventeenth champion sixteen championship.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Long as time ago. That's how great Brett the hit man.

Speaker 1 (01:24:03):
Heart really was. He would have had a legacy in WWE.
On thousand percent, he would be he'd be like, he'd
probably be part of WWE Creative right now. He'd be
like royalty, he'd be royalty. But unfortunately, stuff does happen, injuries.
You know, you can't forecast them, you know. And you

(01:24:24):
know Bill Gober, you know, I say, hey, watch out
for the kick if pet Heart's he never told me to,
didn't watch out for the kick like you know he said,
he said, see he said, she said stuff. And it's
I can understand why Brett Heart wanted to come back
for a small little stinch, just that hunger, that hunger
of what might what could have happened?

Speaker 2 (01:24:43):
You know, I get the backstage politics.

Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
With Vince McMahon guaranteeing him a you know, sixty year
plus multi million dollar contract. There was actually a rumor
in wrestling media saying that he was going to hold
onto the championship for like six years or something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
That is crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:25:00):
That is crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
If someone tells you that.

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
And you know that they're not like really fibbing, I'd
be like, you know, like you know, I'm good, I'm good.
But Brett Hart, you know, never really had a retirement
to her. I get it, I understand, you know, with
the injury and stuff like that. But his last match
being against Alberto del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez Team John
seems cool, but the you know, just doesn't really hit,

(01:25:23):
doesn't really hit. I feel like he's you know, a
man of Brett Hart's caliber, and like I said, the
injury does play a factor. You know, him with the
you know, the Heart Foundation, one of the most dominant,
most recognizable family group inside w w E history obviously
Jim deninvel heart Rest in Peace, own heart rest and peace.
Definitely love everyone involved in in the you know that

(01:25:44):
is the Heart Foundation. And you know, for me personally,
I would have loved to see him go against Sewan
Michaels in an alternate universe for Brett Hart never went
to w c W and then him and Sean they
eventually did bury the hatchet, which is badass, which is
cool going up against each other one last final time,
and the retirement matches would have been so freaking cool.

(01:26:06):
Man would have been so freaking awesome. But you know,
maybe in the next universe who knows, you know, definitely
a thousand and ten percent. Speaking of Sean Michaels, we
have his retirement tour, his final match at twenty eighteen
Crown Jewel against the Brothers of Destruction Canaan the Undertaker.

Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Oh bad, all bad. I remember watching this match.

Speaker 1 (01:26:31):
I was actually watching it with my wife, and she's
she knows wrestling, but she doesn't really dive into the
content and kind of decide dissect things like I do.
Like I look at things, I'm like, oh that, you know,
that's that wasn't meant to happen. Ohhh, you know, they
could have did that better to protect themselves and stuff
like that. I'm a professional wrestler, I've just been a
fan ever since I was six years old.

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
But that match was really really bad.

Speaker 5 (01:26:54):
There.

Speaker 1 (01:26:54):
I think there was a spot where I think the
Undertaker was trying to hit Triple H and then I
think he missed them, and the triple as just randomly
goes like he goes up against American and You're like,
what is going on right now? What's going on? Obviously
I love the end of the app the end of
the match because Degeneration X picks up the victory I
like Canaan, the other taker, the Brothers of Destruction, but

(01:27:16):
I was more of a DX kind of guy.

Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
But this match was really bad. You know, it was
really bad.

Speaker 1 (01:27:21):
But I felt like ultimately it was forced, you know,
with you know, trying. I believe they didn't have a
contract with the sports government in Jetta, Saudi Arabia yet,
so I feel like maybe they're like, Okay, we need
to make this match happen. But I feel like it
ultimately kind of hurt them more than it actually did,
kind of propel them last but not least, one of
the worst retirement tours of all time. And it's not

(01:27:42):
Kurt Angle's fault. It's not kurd Angle's fault. Kurt Angle,
you know, simply, you know, facing a lot of you
know demons outside of work substances, neck injury, you know,
left WWE clearly frustrated with the TNA he was promised to.
You know, WWE was such a hectic work schedule. Kred

(01:28:02):
Angle's work schedule at TNA was probably like two or
three times a week, and he was like compared to
like five yeah, five or sick Yeah, dude, I'm gonna
do it. I'm gonna do I need to protect I
need to get right and uh, you know, curdan Angle
in TNA, you can argue that he's one of the
mount He's one of the Mount rushmorees on TNA, thousand percent, him,
Aj Styles, Sting, someho with Joe, a lot of those,

(01:28:25):
the Monster Biss, There's a lot of TNA stars that
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Once when Carnagle kind of came on the scene, it
was a big deal.

Speaker 1 (01:28:32):
It was a it was a big deal in the
wrestling world because Kurd Angle two thousand and seven. Ever
since then, I think it was at two thousand and
seven or two thousand and eight, and then like he
was just then, he was just gone. He was just gone.
Then he you know, peered on TNA, had a new badass,
you know, had a new badass. Entrance was absolutely a dog,
was a monster in TNA. And he comes back to

(01:28:52):
the WWE comes back. It's been such a long time,
you know, I think he was inducted into in the
Hall of Fame first, and then Vince McMahon has this
great idea that he's going to be the general manager
of Money and I Row and he's just going to
you know, people are going to talk crap to him
seventy mcmah and Triple h you're going to talk down
to him twenty four to seven. Then he's gonna get

(01:29:13):
he's gonna get pedigreed at Survivor Series, losing a match
for you know, for his team, and uh, you know,
and then the storyline with him and Jason Jordan there's
actually uh you know are According to reports, Vince McMahon
found out that Kurt Engle had a lot of love
interest with a lot of African American ladies back in

(01:29:33):
the day, so he thought it'd be funny to be like, oh,
you have an illegitimate you know, African American song. Come on,
that's funny, dude. That's not funny. That's not funny. That's
like in no world, right shape or form, that was funny.
That was that fed up, that screwed up man. So
then kurd Angle, he got he got it bad, you know.
He also, you know, in an interview, he said that

(01:29:55):
maybe he was punished for leaving w W ME when
he did and when he came back to ww you
know what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Baron Corbyn. I don't blame Baron Corben whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (01:30:04):
Baron Corman was probably one of the one of the
competitors inside the ring that I absolutely adored the most.
You put him in any story line, hey man, you're
gonna look like you're gonna look like a bum today,
and he's like, I don't like it, but I'll do it,
and I'll do it great. And he did it absolutely great.
You're gonna be the lone wolf, you know, you bring
the darkness. Okay, Yeah, and then he did an absolutely
great job, and he came back as a heel. You know,

(01:30:27):
Constable Corbyn, you know, talking trash to Kurt Angle would
have been a little bit more fitting if he had
Kerdan Angle win his retirement match. But in his retirement match,
he lost to Constable Corbyn. Like I said, not hitting
on Corbyn whatsoever at all. You know, I definitely respect him.
I think he's now on the Busted Open podcast, which
is actually pretty cool. I feel like that's good for him, so,

(01:30:49):
you know, hopefully it makes it back to wrestling. I
would personally would love to see him, you know, back
in you know another one. You know, he's that damn
good that I would you know, check out some highlights.
Of course, you know, if he comes back, all right, guys.

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
