Gene ‘GROOVE’ Allen, is an actor, rap artist, and entrepreneur. His music career in hip hop began in the 80’s, with the release of a rap/club single titled, “Facts of Life”, later leading to his music with
“GROOVE B CHILL” signed to the iconic label Uptown Records. The group Groove B Chill consisted of Gene ‘Groove Allen, Daryl ‘Chill” Mitchell, and Belal ‘DJ Belal’ Miller but the group got their start in The Uptown Crew, with legendary members as Heavy D & the Boyz, Finesse and Synquis who where all featured with Gene ‘Groove “ Allen on the mixtape Uptown Is Kickin’ it, where Groove Chill B released “Why Me.” Gene ‘Groove’ Allen has starred in such hit movies as
“House Party”, “House Party 2”,
“Boomerang” and the Tina Turner biopic,
“What’s Love Got to Do with It”, as well as “Brothers” on Fox TV. Groove has worked alongside such megastars as Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Eddie Murphy, Angela Bassett, and Laurence Fishburne.
