Speaker 2 (00:39):
Horror Unleashed, a year round Haunted attraction is now open
at Area fifteen in Las Vegas, and the Haunted Attraction
Network was among the first to visit. The first of
its kind venue features four haunted houses, four immersive zones,
themed dining, and the return of fan favorite icon Jack
the Clown. But unlike Halloween Horror Nights quick hits the thrills,

(01:01):
Horror Unleashed encourages lingering, chatting with street characters, grabbing and drink,
and watching the action unfold around you. At HHN the
pace is relentless. You queue, you walk, you scream, you exit,
but here you can take your time. The style of
entertainment is mostly horror events, is momentary, said TJ. Marinarow,
VP of Entertainment, Art and Design. Here you can stay

(01:21):
as long as you want, get to know the characters,
and watch their stories unfold. Follow the links in our
show notes to view the complete guide to the attraction.
Philip Fernandez of The Haunted Attraction Network also wrote a
review of the Universal Horror Unleashed for Attractions Magazine. His sake,
if you love Halloween horror nights, this is your home
away from HHN home. Its vibes over rides with the

(01:43):
same production value, lighting, sound, and sets Universal is known for,
but with the luxury of time, you can linger in
the haunts, chat with characters, and enjoy the atmosphere That
said scares lean heavily on the live actors and jump scares.
You won't find the elaborate animatronics or puppet effects of
wild ah crowds in past years. Hardcore Haunt travelers may
find that the set's beautiful, but the scare tactics are repetitive,

(02:06):
especially given the sixty nine dollars starting ticket price comparable
to HHN Hollywood, which offers more houses and rides but
only run seasonally. Ultimately, whether it's worth it depends on
your proximity, your appetite for the HHN style, and the
appeal of the year round horror hangout for HHN superstars.
It's a haven for casual visitors. It's a polished, immersive

(02:28):
horror experience. Just know you're paying for the atmosphere and access,
not a marathon of different scares. Tickets for a Universal
Horror Unleashed or on sale now on their official website.
Midnight Syndicate composed an original horror score for Universal Horror Unleashed.
Gothic Horror and Haunt music composers Midnight Syndicate have written
an original score for Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, Nevada.

(02:52):
The score is Midnight Syndicate's latest collaboration with Universal Entertainment.
They have collaborated with Universal since nineteen ninety nine, when
the band's music first appeared at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Night.
It's an honor to be part of this next exciting
chapter in Universal's legacy of horror entertainment, said composer Edward Douglas.
Universal Horror Unleashed marks Midnight Syndicate's first custom score for

(03:15):
an attraction, conveying an imaginary scene through music is something
we've been doing since the beginning of Midnight Syndicate, but
capturing someone else's vision for a project always presents a
uniquely exciting set of challenges, said Gavin Coska. Douglas added well,
writing for Universal Horror Unleashed was more akin to writing
a Midnight Syndicate album than scoring a film. We needed

(03:36):
to keep in mind that, like a film score, music
was just one of the cogs in the machine and
needed to seamlessly elevate many elements guests will be experiencing.
Universal is creating a truly immersive horror experience with Universal
Horror Unleashed, where we think horror fans are really going
to enjoy losing themselves. Explore the Massive Hall of Shadows

(03:56):
at Midsummer Scream twenty twenty five. Midsummer Scream and Longbeat
each California took place this last weekend with over fifty
thousand attendees, three hundred and fifty vendors, and presentations from

will return August seventh through ninth of twenty twenty six.
Art the Clown takes over Halloween Horrornit's twenty twenty five
in the Maze and beyond the hallowe Ornit's twenty twenty

(05:01):
five panel at Midsummer Scream delivered an in depth look
at this year's Terrifier haunted houses, but two unexpected design
choices stood out. Most guests in Orlando could choose between
a dry path or a symphony of blood and art.
The Clown will be stalking guests throughout the entire event space,
even outside the maze. It's like Where's Waldo but it's art,

(05:23):
said HHN Orlando's senior director of Creative Development, Michael Io.
He might be in a store, but he could be anywhere.
You'll encounter him when you least expect it. Both coasts
will feature these stealthy encounters, with Io conferring that even
the Rip Lounge is not safe. Meanwhile, Orlando's finale for
Terrifier ops the ante with an immersive split path design.

(05:46):
Guests cannot for a dry walk through or lean into
the horror by choosing this symphony of blood, which culminates
in a full drenching under a blood waterfall as art
looms from above. We're not kidding, said Io. This is
our wettest house ever its front row Jurassic Park. Thirteenth
Floor Entertainment previews California Halloween lineup. In a presentation at

so guests can expect to hear her voiceover work throughout
the night. She will transform a former fan favorite maze
into Elvira's Trick or Treat Mayhem, where her brand of
energy will be felt and seen throughout. Delusion is also

(07:35):

downtown Los Angeles, California. This year's event will be called

new online stor is longlaunched for fans to purchase official merchandise,
including shirts, housewares, accessories, and more. Festival Fright Nights at
Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California will focus on authenticity,
with elements of the event's lord drawn from the history
of the mansion. The event will feature three main attractions,

the mansion, the Root of All Evil taking place in
the mansion greenhouses, and the Final Descent taking place in
one of the houses basements. There will be an exclusive
invite only experience, Maestro's Masquerade Ball, allowing a select few
the chance to learn a deeper layer of the story.

(08:41):
that have never been part of the Halloween activation before.
Magic of the Jack of Lanterns will now be at
a new venue, the South Coast Botanic Garden in Pallos Verdes, California.
The new location will allow them to double the size
of the event. If you came to Wittier Narrows last
year and saw the show, you probably know that we
have a lot of hand carved pumpkins, all different themes,

(09:01):
said Holloman. But now you're going to take that and
walk past these beautiful plants, and there's this display hidden
amongst the trees. So we really think this will feel immersive.
Six Flags Magic Mountain unveils a new maze, scare zones,
and a live show in a presentation at Midsummer Scream.
Six Flags Magic Mountain and Valencia, California shared further details

(09:22):
on new and returning elements for this year's fright Fest.

to thirty dollars Haunted Attractions pass and an extra fifteen
dollars for the Conjuring House. Even Gold pass holders must pay,
sparking backlash from fans who see it as a bait
and switch. In this week's episode of the Green Tag Podcast,
Philip and Scott debate whether the new pricing model is

(12:40):
a necessary step forward towards higher quality haunts, or a
misstep that a roads trust. It appears that six Flags
is moving into the separately ticketed model of not Scary
Farm instead of the mix in model of legacy cedar
fair parks. But as six Flags attempts to unify its
Halloween portfolio, we'll guess pay for what they once got free.

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
