Speaker 1 (00:01):
Praise the Lord and welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I am Cynthia,
and this is have you.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Heard have you heard what.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
About kingdom finances, kingdom financial management? We all can take
a pause there and you know, listen, praise God because
it's a m money matter. It's about us as stewards
in the Kingdom of God doing things God will, spending

(00:34):
our money in a godly way, wisely, you know, making
wise decision, making wise choices, not just with and this
is part of our everyday life, but with our money. MM.
Praise God before we start. I wanna pray for us

(00:54):
that and fathering the name of Jesus. Thank you for
this opportunity to be a blessing to others to help
them understand and apply kingdom stewardship, kingdom spending and kingdom
budgeting in Jesus' name.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Thank you Lord. Amen.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
There's a scripture I have read to you in a second,
but I want you to get your hearts and minds
prepared to hear this because this is we're.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Coming up.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we know a lot of people
go overboard and spending for the holidays and some vacationing,
you know, but there's always we should always have options, right, right,

(01:54):
but we always sometimes we don't. Anyway, read that scripture,
the last one I was talking about.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Amen, Proverbs twenty one, verse twenty there is treasure to
be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise. M.
But a foolish man spendeth it up.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
A a treasure to be desired and oil. And Hm,
I'm a foolish you hear that part. A foolish man
spended it up. So we don't have to spend up
everything we get. There's a thing called savings, hey, ma'a.
And we gonna talk right quickly about budgeting, kingdom budgeting. Amen, mm, praise.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Got so her.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
So So here is what I was talking about. When
some of my teen praise got a member of the team.
We were talking about essentials and non essentials. What are
essentials and what our non essentials? Praise got Well, we
know as children of the most type God in the
Kingdom of God, that in and essential first things versus

(03:06):
tithes and offering. So you're seed and save AmAm. Particularly
tithes and offering. We know that cause that is God's way,
praise God of blessing us financially sowing and reaping into
the Kingdom of God. It's a command. It's not an option.

(03:30):
This is a command. Praise the name of Jesus to
bring it to the church. Some of you watched by online.
Send it in. It is not yours. It is a command.
Don't rob God by not paying your tithes and your offering.
We talked about that on the last episode of Have
You Heard and so so so? But we now we're

(03:53):
looking at budgeting. So we know everyone needs a worksheet
or planning sheet and to budget out their essentials and
non essentials. It's like variables and fixed Praise God. So
you're essential. As I said, first things first, tides offering.

(04:15):
You want to sow your seeds, and you want to
get a savings. You want to pay your mortgage, your utilities.
Praise God. Your monthly bills that are fixed. Many have
fixed monthly bills. Your utilities which fluctuate. You know the
air is a little bit higher than air bill in

(04:35):
the summer and then in the winter the gas bill.
Praise God. But these are essentials and this should be
on your essential or priority list of first things. First
when you are budgeting the money God has blessed you
to make amen. And then and there's a lot of
other things we're gonna move on. And then there's non

(04:58):
essentials like you know, you know, I want to go
back to the centrals in a minute, like your gym membership,
and we were saying your spy membership, and because you
can watch a tutorial or exercise video.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Praise God.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Some of the things because you are spending what they say,
have more month than money. Some people are overspending it
and it should not be. That's not God's best for us.
The first thing, though, let me go back right quick.
What we need to do is get a mind, a
kingdom mindset of budgeting and spending. And that's when the

(05:35):
scriptures come in the word of God to lead us
and guide us into all truth. Praise God. We need
to know the truth and more than likely we need
to be obedient to the word of God. Hallelujah about
you know, living pleasingly before God. God does not want
us in debt, Praise God. Heaven isn't in debt, and

(05:57):
we are chudreing of the most like God. What are
we doing well? We need to get our little budget
or however much your overhead is you need to know
how much you bring in a month and how much
you go out of your income, out of your household
every month. Praise God. That mean how much money is
coming in? Maybe it's a two income, three income family,

(06:18):
four income family. How much is coming in? The first
thing we need to do is put it all out
and get our tithes and offering, seeds and savings out.
And then we need to look at our essentials. Our mortgage,
you know, our gas, electric, water, our.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Let me see what else do you have?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Maybe a cor no car, insurance, things and for some
people's cell phone, I'm not sure that others, yes, Praise God.
But these are the basic essentials. Or your rent. And
you know I talk about often pay your rent. You're
supposed to pay your rent. Be a good steward of

(06:59):
the money. God bless you with Well, I don't have enough.
That's why you're budgeting. You here now to learn to budget,
get your money. You know you gotta pay rent. You
want somewhere for you to live, you and your family,
So do what's righteous, that's living pleasing before God. Well,
I don't have to pay rent. My kids need school clothes.
That's part of your budgeting, Praise God. You know the

(07:20):
kids come September, August. September is time for school. If
your kid is not a uniformed child, Praise God. Then
you know you have to buy school clothes and school materials,
backpacks and paper pencils, denims and things like that, jeans
and sninkers and socks and underwear and undershirts. These are

(07:43):
things that you know your children need. These are yours.
Children are gift from God. And we're not saying go
out there and buy them two and three hundred dollars
sneakers for a second grade or first grade. That's not
why spending. And that is not an essential. That's non essential. Yes,
the kids need sneakers, you know, for gym or tennis shoes,

(08:03):
Praise God. But they don't need No, they definitely do
not need two hundred and fifty dollars. I don't care
what grades youre in from pre k to twelfth grade.
That's not why spending. Praise God, hallelujah. Now some people
can simply afford that, that's fine, but we're talking about budgeting,
God's way doing things God pleasingly, because then you buy

(08:25):
you got three or four kids and you want everybody
one hundred, two hundred dollars pair of sneakers tennis shoes.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
But you need money to eat and then you.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Hungry or you know, you gotta come up short on
this end because of what. No, that's not why spending.
You all need to stop it because you know better. Well,
you know, I don't want my kids not to have saved.
That's what your savings is for. Make a list of
your savings. What you are saving for. I'm saving for kids, sneakers,

(08:55):
I'm saving for this, I'm saving for tires for the vehicle.
I'm saving towards a newcr for our vacation. I'm saving
for Christmas. That's what that list of ties, offering, so
and sees and savings is about. Savings for that. Have
money in your savings account because you should. There's no
reason you shouldn't have money. And then savings for the

(09:16):
things you want in six months set of gold in
six months. I'm going to get this at the end
of this year. We're going to have this. And ma'am,
I was just talking to someone on the other day
about Christmas. I said, now, Christmas is coming December twenty fifth,
twenty twenty five, and it's also coming December twenty fifth,

(09:37):
twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven, twenty twenty eight, and so,
and we all know this. This isn't something that just
snuck up on us. Oh Jesus, Christmas is here. No,
you know, people say that all at the time. But Christmas,
and you know, birthdays and anniversaries do not sneak up
on you. They are fixed celebrations on our calendar. They

(10:02):
do not sneak up on you. Therefore, in your budgeting,
after your essentials, you get your savings budgeting and save
for your savings account and save for Christmas that is coming,
regardless if you call it sneaking up on you or not.
It is coming. School clothes that's a fixed date in

(10:26):
the year, August and September that school is coming. So
you know you gotta be prepared and ready for buying
school clothes and school essentials that the children need for school.
Launch money budget that in as well. Praise God. Uh,
Christmas is coming, birth Days, anniversaries, and if you're saving

(10:51):
for that vacation or that new car, get your little
own budget thing and put put down a goal a
beginning date. I'm starting on this date, saving and you
could fluctuate through. I saved two hundred this month, and
fifty dollars the first week, and then the rest of
the month, I save one hundred dollars for right now.
Pray it's got you get that you budget in your

(11:13):
savings plan for the things that you are saving for,
but you gotta write it down, pray over it, lay
it before God, hallelujah, and pursue these things in a
godly manner. That mean looking at your non essential list.
What is it that you simply do not have to have?

(11:35):
It's not necessarily necessary, it's good and it's a good convenience.
Like one of my daughters was telling me that they
had did a process of elimination, trimming down their platter
into a plate.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
You know.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
They said, well, I got rid of what is it?
The different kind of uber eats or grub hubs, things
like that, and what are these things that they subscribe
to a lot of these, yes, streaming platforms, thank you,
and they got rid of them. And somebody was saying
something had went up to thirty dollars a month and

(12:12):
something on TV, and like my daughter said, she don't
really watch that much TV, so why do I need
that something I watch every now and again, and when
I turn it on, I pass out. You know what
I'm saying, So consider this. This is not an essential.
It's a good convenience. But you can save that thirty
or some of it forty five dollars a month, Praise God.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
And this is what I'm saying, This is not a cent.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
You can cut that out and put it into your
savings budget to help build your savings for Christmas, for
school time, for the tires, for the vehicle, for that vacation.
That's what I said, begin trimming. In fact, there's a
lot of things on your non essential list that you
simply you know, some of us, we're not even using it.
Remember when you had can I say the name of

(12:59):
that streaming platform or not? Okay, I'm sorry, I don't
mean to call out. Praise God. My daughter had a
platform and she said, a streaming platform, Mom, you could
use it because I don't really watch it that much.
And I said, well, okay, And come to find out,
they didn't have that greater selection and I didn't watch
it that much. And we had it like three or
four months, and we was like, wait, wait, wait, wait,

(13:20):
is anyone using this, and everyone was in our home.
Our family was saying no, no, I haven't and you know, okay,
trying for another week to see even and no one
liked it. So we trimmed the fat and we got
rid of that one, and we got rid of another one.
Praise got just a lot of things even on with
our iPads and laptops. You're not your different programs if

(13:42):
you're not using that, cancel that subscription and put the
money into your savings, AmAm, and build up your savings
and that budget you have for savings to do some
of the things that family matters, you know, like that vacation,
different things.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
I like to do it, Chrisristmas times.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
We it's not expensive, not thousands of dollars, but I
can take it out of what we save for for
our Christmas money and go do that. Now I got
even a little bit extra, you know what I'm saying.
And that's what we should be gearing towards. Praise God.
Go ahead, red count up the cost.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
And it says, for which of you intending to build
a tower? Sit it not down first, and counteth the cost?

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Hold on, Hold on which of you consider building a tower?
And s and do not sit down first and count
up the cost. This is steward kingdom. Stewardship kingdom budgeting.
This is what I was talking about. You know, you
want that vacation, you know that fixed thing in your
life Christmas, school, clothing, anniversars and birthday you know that,

(14:54):
and you want a plan and have a whatever. Count
the cost? How much would it cost? So? How much
do I have to save per week, bi weekly, per
month to get to that amount? I'm just gonna smile.
The five hundred extra dollars I need to do this,
that and the third? How much is it gonna take
me to save that up for that project?

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Amen?

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Without touching my savings, I'm gonna budget out to save
for I don't know, the birthday party for the child,
or me and my husband, or me and my wife
to go out have our honeymoon honeymoon night, praise God.
You have to count up the cost first. You don't
just say, oh, we're gonna do this and let's go
do how much you think you can have two fifty tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Well you think by next week?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
No? No, no, you start ahead of time. You know,
this is the end of the year and for all
those who have anniversaries and birthdays.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
In the new year.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
You start saving up now. You start saving up for
that anniversary where you and your spouse would like to go,
and even if you can go, you count up the
casts for us to go. It's going, Lord, have mercy,
it's going to cost us. I don't know, five thousand dollars.
So okay, we start saving and we won't go this year.

(16:12):
We'll do something else for ten percent, not five hundred dollars.
But next year we'll have the five thousand to go.
Do this, that and the third. And that's how you plan.
You don't always have to plan for two months or
three months out. Stretch it out, plan for short term
goals and long term goals. Praise God. You can have
next year or every other year, or three years from

(16:35):
now or five years from now. Praise God, we want
to renovate the house in five years. So you start
say how much what do we want done? You count
up the costs to have whatever it is you like
done done, and don't try not to sway from it.
A Ma'am's begin to save for those five years. So
when the time come, praise God, you will have the

(16:58):
money to renovate your home like you lie and this
is the big thing. You lay it before God and
asks him to help you to restrain and not touch
that savings.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Praise God.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Do you understand what I'm saying, am'am? And you have
to give it to the Lord because you've been a
DiPT in it or we have an emergency, Praise God.
That's why you have a savings and then savings for
you know that you budget out of to save for
your entertainments and your fixed things that you want to

(17:29):
celebrate on, Praise God, not a variable things, you know,
things that fluctuate and go up and down. Praise God.
You could also save for that because you can take
a roundabout figure. You know, last year to go on
this vacation, it was gonna cause us seventeen thousand dollars,
but now it's gone down. So I know I need

(17:51):
between thirteen to twenty twenty three thousand dollars to go
to take the family on this vacation. So you know what,
how much can I afford to save towards it's from
now and to you know, when we want to go
next year, or it's gonna have to be two years
from now, because that's what my family and I did,
we will, We'll say, you know, we'll go in two

(18:15):
years and so we'll save this amount that amount, Praise God.
And that's what the Lord blessed because of what happened.
It was COVID, and so we wasn't really really you know,
vacationing a lot after COVID, So we knew then we said,

(18:35):
in twenty twenty three or twenty twenty four, we'll start
back vacationing. That's what my family and I agreed upon.
And you know, we were prayerful and saving, and the
Lord blessed. So when the time came, we had already
been blessed. Lord blessed us and saved and we were

(18:57):
able to go where we had planned and wanted to
do because we had waited on purpose because of COVID.
And actually we waited what an extra year and a
half yeah, later, instead of like three years, it was
almost almost just about five years, yeah, before we had

(19:19):
took a big family vacation like we you know, like
the Lord blessed us to do. So we was like,
but we had saved and was able to do what
we planned. We counted up the cost how much it
would cost to do this that and the third to
go here and how much it was to eat and
to stop here and whatever was included. We counted up

(19:41):
the costs it's gonna cause usys and we're going to
have to save that.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
And you know what we did.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
We wrote it down, prayed about it, and prayed about it,
laid it before God, and God heard an answered.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
So you know that's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
You could look at essentials and non essentials, trimming the fat.
You could look at your air bows and your rates.
Things are set and things that fluctuate. We know gas
and electric and water bill fluctuate, Amen, But your car
know and sometime maybe when your car insurance, when you
get a new vehicle per or take one off, praise got.
Those things are variables. They fluctuate. And that's okay, cause

(20:18):
you should have a budget in there where you know
should be You should know anywhere from fifty to one
hundred dollars fluctuation every month, as well as your property taxes,
Praise got. And if you owe the rs, that's the
purpose of your savings. Hallelujah, am'am.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Things like that.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
So we should always have a budget because what did
read that word? You just read again, and ma'am Luke
fourteen twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
For which of you intending to build a tower? Sit
if not down first and count the cost whether you
have sh sufficient to finish it.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Aym'am.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Now this is us, This is God bless us with
this because every day we make choices. We make choices
to buy a home, buy a car, you know, to
plan a vacation, a ma'am, to buy a bicycle, gold,
to have children.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
You count up to cost.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
How much is that going to cost me monthly versus
how much I make or plan on making, and the
next year, two, three or five years, and then that
long term go the next ten years. Praise God. I
had a friend I talked two years ago. She was
talking about her and her husband had been married eight
or ten years and they didn't have any children yet.

(21:38):
And she said no, because we were planning. They both
had good jobs and they wanted to buy the house,
get their house just about paid off, and build in
the house, or build a house with a beautiful baby
room that she wanted. And she said, so that's what
they were doing. They had already considered how much it

(21:58):
would cost to build a house and build this beautiful
baby room and playroom and how much it would cause
if they had two children and three children to send
up for their schooling education.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
And that's what was their.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Plan, their short term and long term plan ten years,
Praise God. And now I haven't seen her. I don't
think she had had any children since then. I don't know,
but that's what she and I had talked about. And
that's what I encourage you to do with the words say,
sit down and count up the costs with everything you
want to do. You make a plan and you set
goals with a budget. Because listen to this as I

(22:33):
get ready to close being kingdom budgeting mean being kingdom.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Mind.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
It's all about how you think about your situation, your life,
your decisions you make. Is considering if I do this,
what is the consequence. You don't want to sit down,
Not sit down and count the cost You wanna always
think about that? And am I doing it God's way?

(23:04):
You are when you're paying your tithes and offering and
sowing your seeds, amen, and laying your plans that you
decided to make, praying about them and land 'em before God?

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Amen? Is that alright?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Amen?

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Am I missing anything?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
No? Ma'am amen. So you just remember I'm a child
of the most high Guy. He has my scripture.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Luke, what is it?

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Fourteen and twenty eight? Yes, right, Luke, fourteen and twenty eight.
And what was the other one?

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Uh, the last one.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
The first one was Proverbs twenty.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
One and twenty and Proverbs twenty one and twenty. So
you look on these scriptures and you praying, aks God,
all take everything to our heavenly Father who secured peace, enjoy,
and abundant life for you through his son, our Lord,
and say you're Jesus. Take everything to him in prayer
because he already has the answer for it, cause Jesus

(23:55):
already provided it. So you go to God in the
name of Jesus, who's mediating for and he'll do this.
Save this amount every week, every month and bi weekly.
You know, no, you don't need that vacation going two
years going through. You don't go there? Why don't you
go here? If you wait on me, I'll give you
something better. Your long term goal should be twelve years
fifteen years, not ten. And listen to him and obey.

(24:19):
Ain't that and just what you have which is daily
every month ties offering. So your seeds, savings, your mortgage
slash rent, and your utilities kind not car insurance, your
gas for your vehicle, food, your grocery bill, and you know,

(24:40):
and buying your groceries. Praise God. Budget out for that.
Some people just go and.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Spend and spend and overspend on.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Make your menu first, and then find out the ingredients
that you need to make your macaroni and whatever you
have and with r you know, your pasta salad and
your baked chicken or whatever. How much does it cost
for a whole chicken versus if I get behalf or
should I buy three whole chickens and cut one in half?

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Or however?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
You know, did this make two meals? So many people
in your family? You budget that out before you go
to the grocery store and get clip coupons.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
People be laughing.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
I don't know if they even do they still have them? Yeah, okay,
I said, clip digital ones. Yeah, get your coupons, you
know whatever, to help save your money. It's not that
you pour and you can't afford it. It's why spending. Hallelujah.
It's budgeting so that you can relax. And that's not

(25:38):
no stress behind my finances because I am doing things
God's way. And someone said to me, I don't know
what is going on. I've been sewing and sewing and
paying my ties and then sewing some more. Keep right
on sowing because your laughter shall be greater. That mean
God is gonna really reward you. Praise God. Don't give

(25:59):
up on God, because even when you don't see him,
he's working. Amen on your behalf. You are not his enemy.
His thoughts are you towards You are good.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
He loves you.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Praise God. And again, pay your mortgage, pay all your
bills in full and on time. That's the purpose of budgeting,
so you can do what's right. And people can say, oh,
those kids are the kingdom, God's kingdom through his son Jesus.
They show do good. I want them as my tenant
or as my This was my God. Because they're gonna
do right. You get a good reputation in Jesus.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Hallelujah. Yeah. Amen, so be blessed.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
And as always I thought about it when I was
talking about the groceries, spend wisely and pay your rent.
Pay do not do that. Do not not pay your rent.
And I always say, like I was talking, how would
you feel if you were a landlord and you rented

(26:59):
or out your property and you didn't get your rent
what people signed and said they would pay. So why
would you go and do that to someone else? And
then hollerd, I'm saved. I'm a Christian. No, you gonna
ask God for the money before you rent that house.
Perhaps that isn't a house for you, no matter how

(27:20):
badly you want it, And some even though you can
afford it, it's not for you. I remember this one
house I wanted to go buy. It was beautiful and
