Speaker 1 (00:00):
Praise the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Hallelujah
to Jesus. How is everyone, and welcome you all, welcome, Welcome, welcome.
This is have you heard Praise God? And this series
we're continuing this series of Kingdom stewardship, you know, financial managing,

(00:26):
because you know what time of the year it is,
it's you know, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Praise God. New Year's
God's holy New Year started for the believers in the
Body of Christ though September twenty second, twenty twenty five,
the traditional New Year. But so so we're talking about money. Yes, money,

(00:50):
it's the thing in the Kingdom. People needed, people want it,
People have the spirit of greed for it. The Bible
saying for the love of money is the rule of
the love of it, not the money, the love that
mean kind of like you're idolizing it. You just gotta
have it. And you know, we wanna touch on some

(01:10):
issues about our money. God wants us to have money.
Praise God again, because we need money. But how do
you behave with money? You know, and that's when we're
talking about budgeting today series, we're talking about like restrain,
restrain from spending overspending. We're we're into cutting costs, not

(01:37):
the convenience, but the cost. You know, you don't want
to overpay for something you don't want to be continue buying,
buying merchandise, items that you don't need or that you
haven't urge for. You know, you don't want to overspend

(01:57):
during the holiday season, particularly Christmas. We want to celebrate
our Lord and save your Christ's birth. We should, He's
the reason for the season. We don't want to, you know,
skimp on Jesus. Now that we'll spend money on football

(02:19):
tickets and hockey tickets and all kinds of things, but
when it comes to Jesus to celebrate our king. We
live in his kingdom. Every kingdom has a king. We
don't want to celebrate or we just you know, well,
you know it's too much money. No, it isn't. It's
what you put your mindset. Your mindset says it's too

(02:42):
much money to celebrate Christmas, or I'm gonna have to
buy this, that and the third for this person that person,
and I really want this person have a three hundred
dollars gift, this one a five hundred dollars gift. I
don't want to look like I'm broke or cheap. So
I'm gonna open up more credit card accounts, I'm gonna
maximize and then i'm'a pay form. But did you That's

(03:02):
what the sent of mindset is. I got to get this.
I got to get get get and you know so
that I don't want people to think I don't have it.
HM got to eliminate that mindset because you have to
set member. We talked about it last week of budget.
You have to have a plan, short term goal and
the long term goal. You have to be able to

(03:23):
distinguish between your essentials and your non essentials. No more
just to spending. Praise God. So so so so. The
first thing first with this restrain on spending so that
we can cut costs and not the convenience conveniences of
our lives and our family is we have to pray.
Take everything to God and prayer AmAm, sister amen.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
And that scripture is Philippians four and six from the KJV.
It says, be careful for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made
Know God.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Take everything to God in prayer, even your budget, even
your spending. So that you, cause only God can help
you restrain from overspending. And for some case it's underspending, am'am.
Talk about that in a second. Praise God. So so
so when we go to God, we take our budget,
our plan, short term, long terms, essentials, none and centrals,

(04:24):
and we lay it before God, a ma'am, like Hezekiyah
did when the Syrians was it was s talking about
they were gonna attack, and they sent the letter to
the king of their demands and what they wanted, and
he went to God. And that's what you should do. Everything,
even your budget, Praise God, even your spending. You take

(04:48):
that to God in the name of Jesus. Praise go
and aks, some Lord, help me. Only has this much
and I need this much, but I want this much.
Praise God because God tells us in Philippius, here's a
God who should supply our every need according to his
riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Amen, he supplied our needs.

(05:11):
And he says in Matthew six point thirty three, seek
ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness near
give you the desires of your heart. He'll add these
things because he know what things you need before you
ask so if you taking it to God Almighty, who
knows all these things and who is in alignment with
his word. I'm seeking your kingdom so that you'll give

(05:32):
me the desires and Malachi three in ten I bring
all the times into the storehouse so that he can
rebuke the devour from your finances. Come on, now, that's
what it's about God being in control over He knows
what to do. That's why we have to get in
the word and learn the Word and bring it to
him in the world. Bring our budget in prayer to God,

(05:54):
our needs in prayer to God, because that's what he said,
So that's what we should do. That's step one. Bring
everything to God. Take everything I'm sorry to God in prayer,
ay ma'am. And then this what is a retail therapy?

(06:15):
Is okay? I have to make sure I had it right.
Oh my God, retail therapy and it's kind of slip
my mind. I got to think, Holy Spirit, bring it
back to me spending. Oh okay, yes, thank you, phrase
the name of Jesus. Spending. How many of you do that?
It's just like eating. Some people go in you know,

(06:37):
when they get nervous, bored or upset. They go and
eat and eat and eat, or some people work out
a lot, go running, go boxing, something like that. But
this right here is you go spending. You just want
to shop. It's like something come over you, and it
is it's a spirit, because we are spirit. Beans's spirit

(07:00):
comes over you, a spending spirit. Whether I don't care, attitude,
or I deserve this, No one's taking that from you.
Perhaps you do, but did you consider it the damage
it would cost later? You know, when my kids were
younger and growing up, and they'll tell you, and I
know they don't want to hear. I've always said to them,
for every choice, what baby, there's a consequence. For every

(07:24):
choice you may there is a consequence. And then yes,
I've always said that, always, always, and it is, there
is a consequence. So when you decide, make that decision,
choose to go and just spend, spend, spend without Like
the Bible we talked about last week, counting the cost

(07:46):
up first, Praise God. Then the consequence could be deck
you overspent, an over childe on a credit card, or
several would have high interest rates, Praise God, finance charges,
or you have taken money out the saving and then

(08:06):
in the long run, maybe not now on next month,
you will have less money to do what you had
saved and planned for. Praise God. And that's the consequence
of not calling up the cause, not taking it to God,
not I asking God to help you to restrain, because
he can do it better than your step programs. Jesus
can do it, and here's the blessing. He wants to

(08:29):
do it, hey, ma'am. So we got to think about that.
It's Christmas time. I heard a lot of people like
thanks They preferred Thanksgiving over Christmas because you just have
to bring a dish or just bring your appetite. So
Christmas you have to buy gifts. So no you don't,
I keep telling you, Oh, no, you do not. What

(08:50):
you need to remember and celebrate Christmas is the birth
of our Savior. Be thankful that because of him coming
from heaven to earth and becoming the ultimate sacrifice, he
who knew no sin became sin. We can have. We're reconciled,
reconciled back to our heavening Father to have eternal life

(09:10):
with him. We are now privileged and blessed to go
boldly to the throne of God. We didn't have that
right or privilege before and we now can choose Jesus,
our Lord and Savior, the Christ, to be our lord
of every area of our life. With that living in

(09:30):
His kingdom, blessed with the poun authority of his name,
blessed to be able to cast out demons, to pray
for the sick, to call those things that are not
as though they were, to be healed by the Father
through his son Jesus, because he already paid the price.

(09:50):
Praise God, and that's what we are to be celebrating
the rival of the Kingdom of God. Advent. Some said faith, hope, love,
joy and peace. We have faith in God through Jesus
because of what He does done for us, and we
believe it. We have hope, expectations, praise God of healing

(10:14):
and deliverances, a protection, a provision from our heavenly Father,
because that's what he does for us through his son,
our King. We live in his kingdom, and the King
takes care of its citizens, of his citizens. Amen. Joy,
We should have an abundant of joys that I came

(10:35):
to give you an abundant life. Abundance don't come with
anger and bitterness and resentment, no peace. He left us peace,
and he gives us peace as surprises all understanding. Amen.
And that's what we are to be celebrating because when
he was born, when Jesus, our Savior and King, came

(10:57):
from heaven to earth and was born of a virgin virgin,
a virgin birth, that's what he brought to the earth.
So we celebrate that. Because of him, we are redeemed am'am.
He shed his blood, so and that's what you celebrate.
You don't get caught up. I gotta buy somebody, you
know this, No, no, I'm gonna come. So we gonna

(11:19):
have prayer. We can sing songs, you know, we can rejoice,
we can fellowship in the name of Jesus. And if
we wanna extend exchange gifts, that's nice, that's a blessing.
But we don't have to put a value on it.
Maybe you can bring a pie or cake, or you
notice this sister like socks, you can bring his sister

(11:41):
the family a sock fast you know here in two
pairs of socks. It's something like that, or the husband
and wife matching socks. So Scott, well, don't nobody want that, Well,
then that's fine. I don't take it back with me.
Am'am pray Scott And because with Jesus in mind the
reason for the season, we can have a restraint on

(12:02):
our over on spending that we won't overspend. You see
how that works when we focus on the reason for
the season. Ay ma'am. God will step in and help
us praise God to not go out spending because we
have been in prayer with him, praying to the Father

(12:23):
and do like I do, asking him what should I
buy this one for Christmas? Or should I what should
my budget be? And I'm just making up a budget
five hundred dollars whatever Lord you tell me, And he
might just say, bake this one, okke, do this one hair.
You know what I'm saying. Whoever have Bible skills or
beauty salon skills, or paint this one nails, or cut

(12:46):
this one's lawn or shovel this one's snow. Those are
beautiful gifts. And our Heaveny Father, through the precious Holy Spirit,
the third person of the Trinity, who is in the
earth with us, will let you know. He will guide
you into all truth and righteousness so that you won't overspend.
And that is the way I don't have any Father
will help us to restrain from overspending during this season

(13:10):
and then come the next month for bills. You have
more months than bills and you sit there, o, Lord,
what happened? You are what happened? You didn't go to
the Father. You chose to do what you wanted to do.
You made that choice and this is the consequence. But
don't worry. When you go to him with a heart
of repentance and sincerity, he'll forgive you and wash it
way and help you get back on track. But why

(13:33):
do all that when you're getting the information in the
name of Jesus right here, right now. The first thing
for you to do is go to Him in prayer. Hallelujah, hallelujah,
hallelujah to Jesus, am'am, praise God and ask God to
rebuke the what is it emotional spending? Come on now,

(13:55):
praise the name of Jesus. And also we need to
get you know, like I said, prayer, partners, prayer with
our prayer, proper news or spending. Buddy, buddy, help us
keep track. Praise God. You may not want people in
your business band, you can tell them this is the
Christmas season. I'm use my Christmas decorations from last year
or from three years ago, and I'm going to only

(14:18):
spend this amount. Help me remind me every weekend call
me and say say so, bruh, don't forget, you know,
to check with God. Go in prayer about what you're
gonna spend this week for Christmas gifts? Amen, Praise God.
Get someone to make you be accountable in prayer to

(14:39):
God and to remember to act him and talk to
him about it. And sometime you get busy, get caught
up on the foods smelling good and all everything, just
the candy canes, the tree and the wrapping peper, everything
looking on pretty, and hear you all, well, I had
another Christmas. I can't It don't have to be like that.

(14:59):
But just thin how you got into that last Christmas
and the Christmas before? Was it from overspending not just
around Christmas time but throughout the year, for the fourth
of July, for Resurrection Day, for a birthday? You know?
Come on, now, all these things are decisions we have
to make. If we're going to spend or not. Are
we going to attend or not? Are we going to

(15:21):
you know, go, should we go or not? Is it
an essential or non essential. Can I afford it? Is
it in my budget? Did I budget out for it?
Or do I have to go into my savings? No?
If I have to go into my savings and have
not budgeted out for this, then we're not gonna do
it next. And it's all right. You are not the

(15:43):
only one doing this, honey. We talking about getting out
a day praise God because we are God's children and
we are not supposed to be living in loadibar and
beneath mediocre. And you know, living from paycheck to paycheck.
That's not God that that's your decision making. That's your
emotional spending that you want to keep up with the

(16:06):
joneses that you don't want people to talk about you
to think, well, oh okay, well, how do you know
that they're thinking that. How do you know that this
personal person's or your neighbors, even if they voice it,
how do you know the whole world is thinking? And
how many people don't know you? And the people that
do and say that are okay, well, they don't really
love you. Tell them pray for me, Pray for my

(16:26):
spending happen? Amen and amen, And I'm getting about ready
to close. Did I have another point Amen, is a
break from social media. Oh okay, that's another one to yes,
especially around Christmas time. Please take a break from social media.
You should do it fast. Amen, aks God how you

(16:50):
should go about it in the name of Jesus because
many are influenced heavily by social media. MM. We said
we leaders, and we get on that internet and become
a follower. It ought not be. Let me tell you.
God wants to bless you and your finances because you
are His. But there's something you have to do to

(17:14):
be blessed and stay blessed and to get out of debt.
That's to take it to God and tell him about it,
the whole truth. That's the fast about it, and pray
about it and seek God way of spending. That's to
ask Him to help you restrain to be truthful, to

(17:34):
confess and tell the truth. I just get emotional and
I just want to do it because he's listening. And
here's the thing. He already knows. He's waiting for you
to come to him and talk about it. Amen. Praise
God because we shouldn't get caught up and commercialize Christmas. No,

(17:54):
we should praise God for his son's arrival and ask
him how we can be a blessed into others, how
he want us to be a blessing to them? And
I guarantee you he's not gonna say, buy her three
thousand dollars pair of earrings, buy them a five hundred
and fifty dour a hat, buy them two bottles of

(18:15):
three thousand dollars perfi. He's not gonna. I mean, maybe
he will because you will have the money to do so,
you know, because you've kind of up the cars that
you don't have no twenty thirty thousand dollars to just
go splurge it. You know what's in your account, And
even if you do have that amount in there, what
is it in there for? For? What are you putting

(18:37):
it in into? Save for this thing and that thing?
So don't go touching it because you should have a
Christmas savings account already started December twenty sixth Amen, or
your next paycheck after Christmas, Praise God. Amen. And also
what you should remember when God says bring ye, bring

(18:57):
you go to church and bring your tithes and all.
So don't forget to bless the church the service what
you're offering sow your seats because that's the Kingdom way
of financial prosperity, sewing and reaping, AmAm, and amen, and
that's my time. And have you heard about the kingdom budgeting,

(19:18):
kingdom restraint God, that will help you restrain real quick
when you pay your times. When you come to him
in prayer, praise God about that emotional spending. And when
you ask him who should be your prayer buddy or
prayer partner so you can be accountable with your ways
with your money because some people really need help like that,

(19:41):
both the power the husband and the wife. Amen. Because
we don't want to train up our kids and that
we just spend. Oh it's Christmas time. We're not gonna
pay our mortgage. We're not gonna pay our rent. We're
not gonna pay the lecture you need, the lecture for
the delights to stay on the blink, for the tree
and the trimming of the house, am'am. We ain't gonna
pay the guys gonna pay the count on you stop
that and pay your bills. And especially all y'all who

(20:04):
are tenants, don't not pay your rent because it's Christmas.
You knew Christmas was coming last year that time, so
don't do that. Because if their shoe was on the
other foot, you was a landlord, you would want your money,
particularly around Christmas time. So don't do that because that
is not stuart good stewardship in the Kingdom of God,

(20:27):
and that is not living pleasingly before God. Hey, ma'am,
you stop that. While I'm not gonna pay my rent,
why you want somewhere to stay. You signed the least
or the contract God, so you signed it in front
of God. You stop that and live righteously because you
never know, perhaps that's a hindrance to your finances flowing.

(20:49):
Do what's righteous. To do wrong you know is wrong.
You know what's wrong, and you know what's right. You
live in the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of righteousness,
right living before God. Live righteously, pay your rent, pay
your tithes and your office so so that God can
bless you and the HRD. It's time to reap. Hey, ma'am,

(21:09):
get a grip. Don't just go spending because you have
the money. You go to God. God bless you with
that money. He gave it to you. He know how
he wants to spend, which is gonna be beneficial to you.
Take everything to God. In prayer. Amen and am'am, and
that's my time. I gotta go. Want you to know
that God is concerned about your spending because he don't

(21:33):
want you broke, busted and disgust it. You're his is hey, ma'am.
So let us go boldly to the throne of God
asks him for help to help you restrain from emotional
spending and overspending. And Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus,

(21:53):
your word has gone out that you supply their need
and that they people, your children, and your kingdom where
your son is king, should take everything to you and
prayer through your Son's name. Remind them of this throughout
the week, Father God, to come talk to you about
their spending. Many have tried to restrain and set a

(22:16):
planet and it just keep falling through. Lord, bless them
to come to you with their budget, with their plan,
and with their habit of overspending, so that you, Father God,
can bless them to restrain from overspending. In the name

(22:38):
of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I ask help them because
they need you, Lord Jesus name. Now real quick before
I close, because I had said I was going to
talk about some people are underspending. That's when you know
some people should talk to God about whether or not

(23:00):
they should downsize. Because they don't cut on any lights
to eight or nine o'clock at night. Can't say walking
into the wall, it's so dark in the house. Different things.
They don't want to flush the toilet for whatever reason.
I ay, ma'am. They turn up north. I know, someone

(23:21):
gets very cold minus in the north. They got their
heat on sixty seven through the day, and at night
they turn it down. I think she said fifty three
or fifty four, and she had a severe case of bronchitis,
And I'm like, you know, that's that's not living. You know, well,

(23:43):
most people when they sleep, you can turn the heat
down real low because you sleep. I'm one that cannot
sleep cold. I cannot sleep when I'm cold or when
I'm hungry. So you know, you know, you go some
places they want to turn the air on to freeze
you out. That makes me sleepy in the summertime sitting
up there in the cool ac But in the wintertime,

(24:03):
I'm not turning my thermostat to sixty three or fifty three.
I believe she said fifty three. And somebody if Sumber
sixty seven. No, don't don't be uncomfortable if you have
to downsize or you know. That's what I'm talking about,
planning so that you don't live like that and then
have bronchitis and can't really enjoy your life. That's a

(24:26):
ma'am under you know it. Gonna make sure I only
spend thirty forty dollars a month on this. No, I'm
gonna be warm, good and warm in the winter, and
I'm gonna be nice and cool in the summer. Can't
live like that. It's not good for your health as
for her, for some people that live up north in

(24:48):
the wintertime, and she could a froze or burst her
pipes too, you know, So don't don't underspend. Well, I'm
only gonna spend as much and your gas bill as this,
and you want to get it down lords, so you
cut it down even low and then only pay half
of your gasp pill because I'm just not spending that much.
Don't know you used it, you pay for it. Amen.

(25:12):
All right, gotta go. I love you, take care, and
thank you all for joining me. Remember the what I
talked about on taking it to God in prayer, AmAm
and this is Have you heard and I am Cynthia.
Join me again soon God bless
