Speaker 1 (00:01):
Praise the name of Jesus, that wonderful name of our
Lord and Savior, King Jesus. Amen. Amen, a, ma'am, how
you all doing this is? Have you heard? And I
am Cynthia, hallelujah? And I have a question. Have you
(00:23):
heard in Second Corinthians what is at six? Amen? At fourteen? Amen?
I'm'a read it to you a little later. But Second
Corinthians six or fourteen says what has light to do
with darkness? Have you heard that? Yes? So let's go.
This is about Halloween. Our Halloween episodes praise God and
(00:46):
many people. Where I should be focusing on the Christians.
It's saying, what's wrong with Halloween? Why can't we as believers,
believers believers in Jesus the light and amac mm celebrate
hollow wing? So we know all about harvests, you know, well,
(01:07):
some people do, some people don't. You will in a
few minutes. How the harvests? You know, seed time and
harvest time. You plant your seed, and after so many weeks,
then whatever you plant it has begin to grow through
the elements of the universe. It comes up, pushes its
way through, and at the end of the season fourth
(01:32):
some seed then we have whatever we plant it O
a cauliflower, broccoli whatever phrase. Uh. For some some seasons
are longer. It's like to grow apple trees and things
like the big apple trees and so forth and so on.
But there is a harvest in. It is a time
or season when it's time to go gather in what
(01:53):
you have planted and now and so the month of
October many many people universal, mainly as I know in America,
it's celebrated as harvest time for us believers in you know,
we suceeed. We celebrate our saviors life, death, resurrection and ascension. Uh.
(02:18):
We pray, we fast and wait for our harvests, cultivate
the fruit called patients amth cause we know that there's
gonna be a harvest of blessings hallelujahs, spiritual blessings, health, prosperity, growth,
amath So the tradition and for the month of October,
(02:42):
people get ready for a tradition called Halloween, which originated
uhs many many many years ago from the Celtics belief
amath amen. And they believed that October thirty first, on
(03:03):
this particular day, that evil spirits would come out from
you know the I guess the air would you say
the super thank you into the natural and so but
these evil spirits had evil, evil spirits. They didn't come
(03:24):
for anything good or sweet or kind or gentle. They
they believed, the Celtics believed that to evil spirits on
this day came into the natural world to scare them,
you know, to bring fear, to hurt them, perhaps even
kill them. And so they wanted to protect themselves because
(03:45):
they was fearful, a ma'am of these evil spirits. And
so they would dress up in these very very ugly,
you know, costumes to scare away the evil spear. And
they would put on masks and things like that, a
mask and costumes to scare them away because they were
(04:09):
fearful of them. They didn't want to get hurt, injured
or killed, you know, so they was doing protecting themselves.
And this is where the costumes come in today. You know,
people with costumes on October thirty first, A lot of
people don't even know why they're celebrating it. They think
it's for candy. We're gonna get to that. And they
(04:31):
put on masks, you know, to scare away the evil spirits.
So to costume in a mask. And then today fast
forward to modern time, they put on masks and costumes
for Halloween to go get candy, to go to Halloween potties,
to dress up and have fun or pretend they're scared
(04:53):
and things like that. And so it goes on to
the introduction of candy. Now during a Celtics time, they
put out food to appease the evil spirits. You know, hey,
here's something for you. Get away from me, don't bother me.
I've given you something. Go away, don't hurt me and mind. Amen.
(05:14):
And so that's what it was about. And so you
could see how costumes, masks and candy amen, has you know,
transmitted or travel into later centuries as a good time,
having fun, being scared, scaring people praise God. So that's
(05:37):
when this word of God we need to look at
as believers uh come in or uh the word always
comes in, but to help us understand or decipher through
you know, light and darkness and fear. So when you
read that for me, Sus second Corinthius, I think it's
six fourteen through fifteen or sixteen Amen. Amen, be ye
(06:00):
not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath
righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? Am'am?
So wait, hold on now, what was the first part?
What does be sorry for? What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
(06:21):
And and what communion hath light without a first power?
Be Ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers? Am'am? So
we see that light has nothing to do with darkness.
The Lord aks l What has light to do with doctors?
(06:41):
Be ye unequal? Be what is be unequal of al?
Be ye not? Be ye not unequally yoked? W what
So they're celebrating s scariness cause they're scared fear, you know,
appease in evil spirits. That's some we don't a He's
no evil spirits, not even symbolic where you see that
(07:06):
in Bible. God didn't give us the spirit of fear.
We shouldn't be trying to conjure upspear to be for people.
A lot of our brother and I having issues. We
got to constantly be praying and fasting for them to
accept the Word of God, which saved, heals and delivers
them from the spirit, because that is a spirit fear.
(07:26):
So why are you conjuring up fear and celebrating it.
That is in doubtness. God didn't give us a spirit
of fear and got out my dog. Our Savior is
a giver of life, and you don't want to go
through life scare. So what are you doing on October
the thirty first? Why is that okay to conjure up
(07:47):
an evil spirit called fear? When our Savior shed his
blood to wash it away, to take it away from you?
What are you doing? Praise God? I never seen the
Lord talks about the righteous see begging while you begging
for candy. Praise God Our Jehovah Jyrros I provided. He
(08:08):
will provide you with candy. So you don't have to
go out dressing as something is scared away of evil spirit.
When I save, you're already done it. Jesus, who is
the christ Son of the Living God on Calvary, he
has already defeated the spirit of fear. He has already
cast out the demons of evil spirits and unclean spirits. Amen,
So you don't have to dress up anything to fight
(08:31):
an evil spirit toward it all, He's already a defeated fault.
The battle is the Lord's. It's already been fought and won.
So what are you doing. You should be praising Jesus
on that day for giving you the victory over fear,
faith over fear. Hallelujah. It's already been settled on cavalry
by the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
(08:55):
Amen and Amen. So we shouldn't come to you want
to sell. But you have three hundred and sixty four
days of the year to celebrate praise God with candy
and pomegrants and candy apples and things like that. You
don't have to wait till the day and the Word
(09:15):
of God said, this is the day that the Lord
has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it.
People not glad, They scared and running. They start celebrating
with black cats. You know, you got these people that
do bad things with black cats, and just a lot
of bad things on October thirty first in light of celebrating.
(09:36):
But that's not what we do. We celebrate God and
his work through his son and his son blessing and
giving us and fulfilling the promise of sending the Holy
Spirit to living us to lead and guide us to
do the work of God. While we're here in the
Kingdom of God on earth. Amen. So all this well,
why a Christians got That's why did you ask God
(10:00):
something in the world, a beautiful day that our heaveny
Father has made. They took it and corrupted. You can't
find no other way to settle it. You can't pray
and have worship service on that day and thank God
for the blessings He's given you and going to give
you the harvest coming in. Rather than dressing up, spending
your arned money, Amen, in an ugly costume and putting
(10:25):
on a mask to hide your identity in Christ, Jesus,
to hide the light of Christ. Tell us scare and
the evil spirit. There's no evil spirits because he already
been defeated out of your life, out of the Kingdom
of God. Amen. Amen, Amen, Pastor Cynthia, you preaching, Amen Jesus, Hallelujah.
(10:47):
Stop looking for excuses to do what you want to do.
Just surrender, say, Holy Spirit, I surrender all unto you.
What Jesus said in the God look at SETHAMI not
my will, Lord, but your Amen. We got to learn
to surrender and let go. That's the sacrifice Jesus sacrificed
(11:07):
his body, his own body, shed his blood. You didn't
have so you wouldn't have to. And you can't make
that sacrifice as a true believer, as a believer in
the Kingdom of God. And say you live in the
Kingdom of God. That's not what's celebrating the Kingdom of God. Love.
What is a peace, love, joy, ama, and hope. No,
(11:35):
it's hope, forgive me hope, peace, love and joy. Amen,
that's the advent. That's a rival amen of the hope, love, peace,
and joy in the Kingdom of God. That's what we're
supposed to be walking in. And it didn't say fear
and evil spears and be scared and look bad. No,
our savior already conquered all of that, so you don't
(11:56):
have to celebrate it. You know, Well, we're gonna celebrate
being a whatever or a ghoul and that don't talk
about celebrating being a witch. You know, people, witchcraft is
real and people try to work witchgraph against you. So
why would you celebrate that. Why would you dress up
to look like a witch or a ghost or gobbling
and all these things that's not in the Kingdom of God.
(12:20):
And say you having a good time, Well, it's just
a good time. Shouting in the spirit is a good time.
Praying is a good time. Hallelujah. Live for Jesus, he
already paid the price for you to be free from this.
His blood was shed to purge your conscious of sinfulness.
(12:42):
Going back to the cross to get fear is like
a dog returning to vomit the spirit of fear. So
don't do it. Don't do it. October thirty, First Harvest.
Amen for the believers. Celebrate our spiritual harvest of blessings
and a plenty. Go to church and sing songs and
(13:04):
worship God, and get into the spirit and hear from
the spirit. A ma'am, study the word hallelujah, be led
by the Holy Spirit. Somebody out there don't have groceries.
The money you was going to spend on costumes and mask,
you take that and go buy somebody groceries. Go bless
the ministry, so a see, so that you can get
(13:25):
the spiritual harvest, so that things in your finances can
be made straight. Whether it say to your crooked made straight.
Jesus said, I come in the volume of the Book
of doing Good, of setting the people the captives free,
of casting out the spirit of fear. He didn't say
(13:47):
anything about get that. So on Halloween you could be
scared or make somebody scared. Let's not do that. Jesus
loves you and he wanted to show you things you've
never ever seen before. And it's more in a day
October thirty first, of celebrating evilness, bad stuff. So what
have light to do with darkness? That's what I ask?
(14:09):
What have the light of Christ, which is joy and
peace and prosperity and abundance and laughter do with the dark? Amen? Amen?
Just a quick little nugget for you, because many people
wonder why can't we celebrate Halloween? Why do you even
(14:31):
want to? You can't find anything else to celebrate? Giving
out candy. They put that food out there, I told
you earlier so that they won't get attacked. So in
place of it today people put candy out there. Be
careful what you're celebrating, where you're going and who you're
(14:52):
going with or what they're doing. Know this, my people
parents from lack of knowledge. So when you're putting no
costumes on October thirty first, and putting masks on, and
putting candy out and decorating your partaking with the darkness,
(15:14):
the Kingdom of darkness, cause that's what they do because
just think about there's nothing good in it, you know,
it's all you know, we can go on. I didn't
wanna go, you know, into the horror stories of so
many horrible things that happened on that night p intentionally planned,
you know, and they dress up and that's funny. And
(15:35):
you know, then there's alcohol, sex, drugs and alcohol. That's
that's not light, you know, and you're control by drugs
and or alcohol, or you're being promiscuous and not presenting
your body as a living sacrifice to the living God
or who gave so much for you. So yeah, have
(15:57):
you heard would have liked to do with darkness? Two
Corinthian six fourteen. Have you heard? Read it? Study it? Oh,
and let's celebrate Christ. You can celebrate him twenty four
seven uh or three hundred sixty five days of the year.
Let's do it, cause he's worthy. He did something for
(16:20):
you that no other has watched, the one of your
sentence with his blood, gave his life. Alright, and that's
it for me. I'm done. I just want to encourage
you with hearing about light. What I've liked to do
with darkness, and then answering the question why do L
(16:40):
can't Christians celebrate? You can celebrate what you like, but
for living pleasing before God, get an understanding, and let's
not celebrate it and celebrate life in Christ. This is
Cynthia and I am out.
