Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, Hello, Hello, and welcome everyone. Welcome, welcome, welcome to
my power. I'm Pastor Cynthia, Hey, ma'am, and I'm glad
to have you all joining me wherever you are in
the world this morning, this afternoon, this evening, this night.
But thank you all in the mighty name of King
(00:22):
Jesus for joining me. So I want to talk briefly
about celibacy. And before we begin, let us all join
together in prayer in the name of our Lord and
Savior Jesus, and ask him to help us to understand.
(00:43):
And first of all, thank him for such a time
as this, him being our Lord and Savior. We're in
the kingdom of lightness. He translated us out of the
kingdom of darkness. And just thank him for his good deeds,
his good works, for his forgiveness, for his work he's
(01:04):
done for us on a cross. Thank you, Father, Father God,
in the name of Jesus, and through his blood we
come to you, praising your mighty name Jehovah, and thanking
you for your son. I will Savior Jesus, our Redeemer,
our King, our Lord, You've blessed us so much through
(01:27):
the finished work of your son, and we just want
to say thank you Father. Many people, as you know,
your God, single mary divorce and Lord, many are single
and they're not sure about being married. I just ask you, Father, God,
(01:50):
and some who have made a choice to be cellibant, Lord,
I pray their strength and the Lord, and I just
ask you to bless this podcast to be a blessing
to them, help them on their journey, whether it's single
and want to stay single, or you know, some people
are divorced and they want to be celibate. Lord, help
them and their choice. The Holy Spirit is our comforter
(02:14):
and our guide. Help him to guide us into all
things truth and righteousness, because we want to live pleasingly.
Before you, Father, this I as in Jesus' name, and
I thank you Father, Praise your mighty name. Thank you Jesus.
Amen so and Amaen. It's just I'm passionate about the
(02:37):
single marrit and the divorce and God has put this
on my heart a couple of months ago, and I
thought wholeheartedly about it. I've been thinking about it, praying
about it. You know, because some people decide to be
celibate because of a bad breakup or something. They were wounded,
(02:59):
they were heart broken. They've been through it more than once, twice,
three times, and they're tired of it, and they're like,
this is what I'm going to do. And some people
choose to be celibating, and it's a choice. It is
a choice. God give us free will because they want
to grow closer to God. Some people really just do
(03:22):
not want to marry, and some people not quite sure,
and so this is their choice. You understand that celibacy is,
you know, it's starning from marriage and sex. Praise God
because some people think because I'm not married, I still
(03:44):
can have sex. I get that. Need. Let me tell
you something. You serve a great and mighty and powerful God.
He's a great King, a mighty God, and a good
good father. And his word says that all things are
possible with God. So with God and you are the
temple of the Holy Ghost. He's the one who leads
(04:06):
in guide us and help us to restrain. Am'am he
the Holy Spirit, for greater is he that is in us,
and He that is in the world, will help you
restrain from having sex before marriage, from fornicating. There's no
thing when I just could not just gave in, no, no, no,
bad company corrupt good manners? Where have you been? What
(04:27):
is your environment like? Where are you placing yourself? Are
you going to the wrong environment? Praise God when you
don't have to be there, am'am. Are you around people
that influence you in the bad direction and the bad way?
These are things you need to consider. Where am I going?
(04:48):
Who am I going with? What am I doing? Better? Yet?
What is your vision? What is your goal? You need
a goal and a focus. It should be on Christ
to keep you a ma'am on the straight and narrow
in alignment with the word of God. Your mind on Jesus,
and you won't sink. Because as long as Peter's mind
(05:09):
was on Christ, Jesus, our Lord, praise God, he didn't sink.
Even though he was walking under water in the midst
of a storm on the left and the right, the
wind was bosterous and just things were going on. But
as long as he kept his eyes on the Bann
of Jehovah Nissi AmAm, he didn't sink. He said, Jesus,
(05:29):
if that's you, bid me to come to you. And
Jesus said come, and he was obedient, and he came
looking at Jesus. So all this when you look at
Jesus morning, noon and night, you won't sink. Yay, trouble
will come, just like the windstorms came and was blown
against the bolt, and just things happening, the wind, the rain,
(05:52):
stormy weather, praise cime. But God is climate control. He
will control the weather. As you see, you speak to
the storm, the window rain, Peace, be still, AmAm. So
in the midst of a storm, your eyes on Jesus,
you will walk on the water and not sink. But
when you take your eyes off of Him, when you
(06:12):
begin to look at the circumstances around you or that
you are in, knowing that He's greater than the circumstance.
His name is above every name. I mean, his name
is above bad circumstances, praise God, higher times, financial ruin divorce.
His name is above that, and he can. He is
a miracle worker, a waymaker, a heart fixtion, and a
(06:34):
mind regulator, a man praise God. So when you take
your mind off of the Peace, the Truth, the bread
of life, Amen, you will begin to sink. You will
you stand downward spiring praise God. And that has happened
in my life. You know other things going, oh, oh,
my God, what is happening. And I begin to focus
(06:57):
more on what's happening, more on the problem, and not
the problem solve. It seemed like it got worse and worse.
I'm like, and the Holy thank God for the Holy Spirit.
Am I am the Temple of the Holy Spirit. And
let me make that declaration. Jehovah is God and Jesus
is Lord. I don't I amen? And I am the
Temple of the Holy Ghost. Amen, Amen, Amen, praise the
(07:20):
name of Jesus. So I was sitting there thinking, you
know what different things was going on, and even with
the dog I'm like, oh, Lord, now, okay, let's do
this and let's do that. And I got a moment
to myself. I think I came in a room to
get to I wanted to light a candle or something,
(07:44):
and that was the Holy Spirit just stopped me in
my tracks, you know, because I was like still thinking
about it on the way looking for I don't know
what I was looking for. And I was like, oh,
it's just so much going on. And I was like, Lord,
help me, you know, I called on the Lord. But
I went on looking and looking through the drawers, and
(08:06):
then it was like, wait, I came to myself, wait,
let me pray. And then I prayed, and I still
was like, I still didn't feel at peace. So I said,
you know, I need more the word. I got to
put even more, and I closed my door when my
(08:31):
office closed my door, I'm going to pray. And I
prayed again and prayed, and then I got into the
Word and I stayed there. I planted myself in the
Word for a very long time, on an hour, two hours,
(08:52):
just in the word. And then I prayed again to
God Almighty, and I did what the Word say. First,
Peter phib said, the cash your cares upon me because
I can. I gave it all to Jesus, and I
apologize and repent it to the Lord for not walking
in peace. I live in His kingdom here on the earth.
(09:14):
I don't let problems. You know that Jesus said, woe,
trouble will come. I didn't let them get me. I
got them with the Word of God and the name
of Jesus, the name this above every name. I begin
to focus on him, and let me tell you, ask
promise because he is a promise keeper and a waymaker.
Jesus calm that storm that was in my life that
(09:37):
was going on. He gave me peace. Oh glory, hallelujah.
They overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the
word of their testimony. And I have overcome because of that. Hey,
the blood of the Lamb will shed on cavalry for
me and I Man, I cover myself in it, and
I did what the Word says said told me to do,
(09:59):
and I have been in peace every since, AmAm. So
I'm saying that to say that, you know people that
have decided to practice celibacy. Amen, Praise God for you. Hey, ma'am,
I just want to bless you and encourage you to
keep on keeping on. You can be strengthened by the Word.
(10:23):
In the Word of God. Spend your time with Jesus.
Don't look to the left of right, look to Jesus
to heal, to deliver. If you've been hurt and made
this decision because you've been hurt, Hey, man, let me
tell you something, a word of God. Say that God
sent Jesus to heal the broken hearted. He will heal
your broken heart. Luke four thirteen, Praise God or is
(10:44):
it four eighteen? Jesus came to heal the broken hearted.
Nothing can heal your broken heart. But the Lord no,
no addiction, no drugs, no going out every night, no
you know, talking about it, no being negative. Whatever people
do to try to get over what caused them a heartache,
(11:04):
a heart pain, that bad break up. They've been treated badly,
They've been jilted. Praise God. Jesus heals. He have come
to heal the broken heart, you know, and you feel like, well,
you know what, I'm just gonna not fool anybody. I'm
just gonna remain celebrate. That's beautiful. So be encourage a
man that with God, all things are possible. That's the
(11:25):
state you want to be and continue. So in Jesus' name,
praise God. The Bible says in Romans twelve one through two,
I beseech you me, brethren, to present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Now you remember that.
And then he goes on and said, be ye not
conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind. You know. So that's what we
(11:46):
want to focus on. The word of God. Say present
your bodies because back then, you know, it was a
food issue. They had pauled. If you go Further down
the Romans twelve thirteen, they about the food being sacrificed
to idols, and on an altar they was putting food
(12:07):
and drink and sacrificial animals to their false deities and
making sacrifices like that. God is saying, with your body,
you present that sacrifice, prayers God, by restraining from doing
what the world do, from what worldly people do. Present
your body, come to God and say here, I am
all of me and none of you. I don't want
(12:29):
to be conformed to this world. So that means I'm
gonna watch as well as pray. I'm gonna listen. I
have two ears to listen and one mouth to speak. Aymen,
quiet silence is a virtue. So I'm gonna be observing
to the people that surround me, to the people that
has come in my circle, hey, ma'am, to the people
in the office, to the people in the building where
I'm at, I'm gonna be observing, Father God, because your
(12:52):
words has bad company, corrupt good manners, and I don't
want to be negatively influenced, Father God. To not present
my body is a living sacrifice, going and doing what
I want. My body was purchased with the blood of Jesus.
I was purchased, am'am by the blood. So I want
to be presentable to you. And with this state I'm in,
(13:13):
I've chose to be celibate. Father God, bless me. Help
me to restrain from even thinking about sexual immorality, the
sexual acts. Father God, let the mind that's in Christ
be also in me. Help me, Lord Ama. I want
to present my body as a living sacrifice and I
do not want to be conformed to this world. So
(13:35):
help me Lord as I get into your word and
dig into your word to renew my mind, Father God,
because that's where it's that people, It's in the mind,
the state of celibacy for those who choose it, Praise God.
It's your mindset. I'm not gonna get married, and to God,
say so, I'm not gonna have sex until I get married.
(13:59):
Praise I'm gonna restrain from this and dedicate myself and
my time to the Lord. I'm gonna pick up my
cross and follow Jesus, and I'm gonna let his will
be done in my life. Holy Hallelujah, in the name
of Jesus. I'm gonna remain. Those of you who are
(14:21):
celebrating continue to remain into you know, if you feel like, Lord,
I don't want to be celibate. I want a marriage.
I want a wife. I want a husband, and that's
your choice. You take it to Jesus, take everything to
God in prayer. That's what I'm saying, hey, ma'am, because
I don't know why people think it's a bad king
to be single, you know, not married, or you know,
(14:42):
to not have sex. Let me tell you something. When
you don't single, that's a ministry that a singlehood is
a ministry you are showing other people, particularly people in
the world. You're an example of what Christ can do
when I am singley' And it's not written in the
Word of God that you you have to have sex,
because it's God intended and planning it to be for
(15:04):
married people, not single people, am'am. So you're single and
you not having sex, You're doing what God plan. Praise God.
So you're single and you don't want to be married,
you want to remain celibate, to focus on the Lord,
to give all your time and attention to the Lord, AmAm.
Paul talks about and first Gonthius seventy seven is better
(15:27):
not to marry, so you know, you get married, you
gotta focus on you know, your wife, your husband. You
gotta split the time, but more of a ninety percent
of it to God. So he's kind of alluding to
it's better not to be married. Praise got. Paul wasn't
Jesus wasn't married. Paul wasn't married, and many other disciples weren't. Peter.
We know was because Jesus touched his mother in law
(15:49):
hand and the fever left, am'am. So we know that
Peter was married, hallelujah. And these people, these disciples and apostles,
they who turn later turned apostles. They were those who
came and turned the world upside down. Yes it did,
Yes it did. A few of them married, but most
(16:10):
of them not. Praise God. Hallelujah, Thank God. They went
on about the father's business, and so can you. It's
not a bad thing to be celibate because you're learning
about who you are, what you want. You know who
you are, where you want to go, Hey, ma'am, and
you know what you expect from yourself, first and foremost,
(16:32):
what God wants from you, the will of God, am'am.
So you're gonna apply yourself Praise God. And if you
decide to not be celibate any longer, you know what
you want in a marriage, not that you have these rules.
They gotta be this, then they better say this and
they better do that. No. I know myself enough to
know that God is love, and love is unconditional praise God.
(16:56):
I know I can't have that a gopy love because
you know, and some to amen. But I'm pressing towards
the mark of the higher calling, which is in Christ Jesus,
to love, praise God. And I want to live, continue
to live in the Kingdom of God, which is righteousness,
joy and peace, AmAm, and the greatest gift of our
(17:18):
loving people, forgiving, not holding grudges, letting it go, because
I'm not giving people that power to be over me
and to have me hindering my blessings because I'm holding
a grudge and I'm not forgiving. That's not what God wants.
I want to love like He wants me to love.
The greatest gift is that love. That mean we're patient,
(17:39):
we're kind, we're forgiving. We're not a doormat where people
can walk all over us and wipe their feet on us.
We're not that praise kind. But I'm saying some people
make a mountain out of a mole hill. You know,
some things is just not worth even responding to, because listen,
you know who you are. You know you love by
the Father. You're doing the will of God, and you
(18:01):
know what you want. You've answered the call, so you
don't have to get all out of hand. The fruit
of the spirits the spirit. The fruit of the spirit
develops in you, and it's being cultivated. Patience, long suffering, kindness, love, joy, peace, gentleness.
You know these things are starting to You're starting to
bear these things, ay ma'am. In your individualism and being
(18:24):
an individual being celibate, Praise kind. An individual chose to
be celibated, you're able to, you know, dig deep and
cultivate around yourself enough there you know your value. Praise God.
So when you do decide to get married, you know
your value. You're not gonna just settle. Praise kind. I'm
(18:45):
not saying just any your thing go. But you bring
a whole lot of spiritual growth, wealth, blessing and knowledge
to the relationship. And you understand how relationship from the Bible,
from the beginning with Adam and Eve is meant to
be praise High. Maybe at first you didn't know it,
and it it catapulted you into wanting to be celibate.
(19:09):
But as you remained in your celibacy, you got an understanding.
And now you believe that you were ready to be
married or you want to be married. So you go
to the father and talk to him about that because
you have grown, hallelujah, and you understand what it is
to be an individual, because God first made an individual
(19:30):
before he made the couple. A man, Praise God. And
you know Adam was worked, so you know you want
a man that's working. Ladies, you want a man that
first stand in the presence of God. Adam was with
God first, Praise God. And then God put him in
the garden to work and tend to dress the garden.
(19:52):
And then God brought all the animals to him to name,
brought him help me, and he named him. But that
wasn't suitable for the human. He needed someone like him.
So God put him into a deep sleep and took
out a bone and you know bone and may and
fashioned it into a woman and brought the woman. God
(20:15):
brought this woman that he made glory. Hallelujah. You hear
that fellas brother and brothers, that he made not nothing.
You went and got outside to God. Nothing You found
a can something God has made especially for you. Bone
of my bone, Adam said, flesh of my flesh. Hallelujah.
God brought what he made from Adam's bone to Adam
(20:38):
because it was a part of Adam. That's how the
two can become one flesh, am'am. Praise God. And you
get that understanding, brothers and sisters, that that's what marriage
is about, the two becoming one. Your help made your
partner and companion, brought to you a plan. God didn't
(21:01):
go get anything, He didn't go outside to God. He
fashioned it specifically for you, for Adam, and the two
were joined together. Amen and Amen. So that's how we
gotta be. We just going with She look good, she fine,
she's sexy, she can cook, and she says her or
(21:22):
whatever it is. You see, But does she stand before
the presidence of God? Has God brought her to you?
Praised him as he brought her to the church or
to the church, pigmy, And she's just sitting there and
you go over you see her, AmAm, and you go
over to her, and she's everything you want and need
to be because God set her there, brought her to
(21:43):
the place for you a plan, and so y'all begin
to work in the governing together, hallelujah, just like the
he already have it together. I'm not saying, oh, woman,
you don't need to worry. You don't need no job. No no,
no no no. She an individual, so she out working
to pay her bills. So she needed her job. That's
(22:06):
up to them to decide if you're gonna work or not.
Praise kind. That's a married couple business. But she already
gonna come equipped and fully loaded with the Holy Spirit, am'am.
Praise God with spiritual wisdom and knowledge, hallelujah, to help you.
And then you, in turn, you cultivate her brothers. You
dig around her and make sure that she looking good,
(22:29):
cause she's your crown, and you polish that crown. So
everybody cans here. Sit her on your head, amen, and
you be that foundation that she stands on. Praise God, hallelujah.
Everybody can see. Oh wow, AmAm. But the beauty of
it is that you both stand in the presence of God.
(22:50):
Y'all can pray together and pray for each other and
pray for other people and go out together. One can
put a thousand and two can put ten thousand, and
turn in this world upside down. Amen, hallelujah. Praise the
name of Jesus. Praise the mighty name of Jesus. So
you know, if you are celibant, praise God. Present your
(23:14):
bodies and were celibate or not single, married, divorce, widow,
present your bodies a living sacrifice. Make that sacrifice to
God to let his will be done, not yours, all
of Him and none of you. Amen, and be not
conformed to the world. Get the word of God every day,
two and three times a day, and renew your mind
(23:35):
to what it used to be before you was sent
to the earth. Amen, before you know conception in the
name of Jesus. Hallelujah. So yeah, So it's not a
bad thing to be single, especially when you're doing the work.
I got your own had time for you, man, You
eat up all your time. You don't have to put
My girlfriend once told me after she had gotten married,
(23:58):
they got they were pregnant, and so they had the
baby in about a year. Maybe she and I were
talking on the phone and it was she's so funny.
She said, Shoot, I ain't had this baby, and hm,
(24:19):
oh yeah, the honeymoon still on, she said. But I
gotta get used to this, because I'm used to when
I ate, my whole family ate. And when I needed shoes,
my whole family had shoes, you know, because you know,
probably being married and having a baby. Now she got
to make sure the husband got this, the baby got that.
And you know, it was just funny. I really laughed.
(24:40):
I laughed a lot about that. When she ate, she
was full and her whole family ate. Now you got
them cook enough for two, three people. And the baby
kneed shoes, he need a sweater, and you know, it's
just you know, she's no longer single, she's married now,
and it's different. Praise God's but when you celibate, you're
(25:03):
not having sex. Praise God. And you decide not to
be married and not to have sex, it's like a commitment.
It's commitment and dedication to God. That's when it goes
with It's Roman's twelve one through two presential bodies. You
(25:29):
decided to be celibate and to restrain from being married
and to not have sex, because it's like you're making
a commitment, a dedication to the Lord God Almighty with
your body. You're presenting it as a sacrifice, you know.
(25:50):
But I said all that, you know because some people
single they needed to be encouraged in singleness, but remaining
from sex and marriage and divorce, they choose after d
divorce to be celibate. Okay, no, n you not gonna
marry again. You're not gonna have sex. Great, just renew
(26:12):
your mind through the reading of the word. And if
you married, am'am, I pray for your marriages that it
be everything God wanted to be an example to others.
Amen and Amen. God bless you all. Thank you for listening,
and just remember celibacy. There's nothing wrong with that. That's beautiful.
(26:38):
That's beautiful to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy
and acceptable to God. God bless you.
