(00:29):
The other day, I was thinkingabout what the title of my next banquet
was going to be. See,every year we have a major banquet in
our ministry and we call everybody tocome together and we have a theme that
the banquet is all about. Thispast year was hope. The other day
I was asking the Lord, Isaid, what is the theme that you

(00:51):
want for the next year, Andright away I heard the word shelter,
and I'm like, ooh, shelter. That's a good word. You know.
Mcgrahama taught me a song growing up, Shelter in a time of storm,
And we're going to talk about thatin a minute. Welcome to Healing
begins. My name is Pastor Gale. You know. When I grew up,

(01:12):
I grew up in a little towncalled Diamond Springs. We had a
house and then we had a coupleacres of land, and beside the house,
my dad was digging a great, big hole, like he was digging
a really deep foundation. I remembersitting there watching him dig the hole,

(01:33):
watching the people come in and digthe hole, and then began to set
the walls and pour the cement, and he was building what we call a
storm shelter. This was a placewhere when it would be completed, it
would be totally underground. So inother words, it was a great big

(01:53):
room underground. The walls were abouta foot thick worth a cement, and
the ceiling was a same way,So in other words, it wouldn't matter
if a tornado went right over thestorm shelter. It won't even hurt you
because it was totally underground. Theonly thing the only thing left to get
out was as the stairs coming upout of the ground, and there was

(02:15):
a door, and we'd come upout of the storm shelter. So when
we would have really bad weather athome, my mom and dad would take
us and we would go to thestorm shelter and listen to the radio until
the tornado has passed by or thestorm had passed by. And I just
remembered that as the young boy,I remember coming out of the storm shelter

(02:37):
with my dad and looking on thehorizon watching a tornado go away from us.
I'm glad that we had somewhere whetherthat we could take shelter to cover.
The definition for shelter is a placeof protection from bad weather or danger.
You know, we live in timeswhere there are many storms going on

(02:59):
around us in a day to daybasis. Now, I'm not talking necessarily
about natural storms, as I'm talkingabout what's going on, as we are
in a pandemic, coming through apandemic, and all the situations that are
going on in the world. Inmy grandmother, when I grew up,
my grandma taught me a song. It's called shelter in the time of storm.

(03:23):
The Lord our rock in him,we hide a shelter in the time
of storm. Secure whatever I'll betied, A shelter in the time of
storm. And then the refrain goes. Oh Jesus is the rock in the
weary land, a weary land,a weary land. Oh Jesus is a

(03:44):
rock in a weary land. Ashelter in a time of storm, A
shade by day, defense by night, A shelter in the time of storm.
No fears, alarm, no foesaffright, A shelter in the time
of storm. The raging storms mayround us. Be a shelter in the

(04:06):
time of storm, will never leaveour safe retreat. A shelter in the
time of storm. O rock, divine, O refuge deer. A shelter
in the time of storm. Bethou our helper, ever near a shelter
in the time of storm. Oh, Jesus is a rock in the weary

(04:30):
land, a shelter in the timeof storm. I love the words to
that song. You know, thosewill be good words for you to meditate
on. You know, the Biblesays that Jesus is our shelter in a
time of storm. He is arock on which we stand. You know,

(04:50):
today, with technology, the wayit is, all you'd have to
do is go to Google and putin a shelter in the time of storm,
and you would pull the song rightup. The Bible says, the
Lord is our strong tower Proverbs eighteenten. The name of the Lord is

(05:12):
a strong tower. The righteous runinto it and are safe. You know
what I get out of that scripture. We have to remember that we have
to choose to run to the shelterand ask the Lord for help. You
know, it's our choice. Wecan try to fight the storm on our
own, or we can run tothe Lord, who is our strong tower.

(05:39):
The Lord is our shelter in placeof safety, Psalm ninety one.
He who dwells in the secret placeof the Most High shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty. I willsay of the Lord, he is my
refuge and my fortress, my Godin him, I trust you know the

(06:00):
key to that versus simply this.It says he who dwells in the secret
place of the Most High, thatis the person who is going to rest
or abide under the shadow of theAlmighty. So we have to choose to
run to the shelter, but wealso have to choose to dwell in the

(06:23):
shelter. The Lord is our lightin our salvation Psalm twenty seven to one.
I love these scriptures. The Lordis my light and my salvation.
Of whom shall I fear? TheLord is a stronghold of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? You know, I really love the Word

(06:45):
because the Word can give us strengthand hope and peace when everything seems to
be falling apart around us. TheWord of God can shelter us, can
keep us safe. So the Lordis my light. The Lord is my
salvation. Of whom shall I fear. The next one I want to say

(07:11):
is the Lord is our provider Philippiansfour nineteen. And my God shall supply
all your needs according to His richesin glory and I just want to say
this. There's a lot of peoplein the world today that have a lot
of needs. They've gone through loss, they've lost loved ones, they've lost
jobs, they've lost income. Oh, there's a lot of loss. And

(07:36):
so the Bible says that the Lordis my provider and my God, according
to Philippians four nineteen, shall supplyall your needs according to his riches and
glory. It's interesting there. Hedidn't say the Lord will supply some of

(07:56):
my needs. Is said, theLord shall supply all of your needs according
to his richest in glory. Thenthe Lord is our deliverer Psalm one for
four verse two. My loving kindressand my fortress, my high tower and

(08:18):
my deliverer, my shield, andthe one in whom I take refuge who
subdues my people under me. Wow, what a great scripture. In this
scripture we're faced with the same thing. It's a choice. Running to the
shelter is a choice. Dwelling inthe shelter is a choice. But as

(08:43):
he says, here, my hightower and my deliverer, my shield,
and the one I take refuge in. Wow, what a great scripture.
The Lord is our counsel and Princeof Peace Isaiah ninety six. For unto

(09:03):
us a child is born, untous, a son is given, and
the government shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful
counselor Mighty God, everlasting Father, and the Prince of peace. You know,

(09:24):
the Lord is our counselor. Youknow, when you got things and
I got things going on in ourlife, the one thing we need is
good counsel from the Lord to knowhow to get through. The Lord is
my counselor. And Jesus is myprince of peace. Right, so as

(09:45):
I keep my eyes on him,he gives me his peace. He is
the Prince of peace. The Lordis the master of the winds and the
waves and the circumstances going on aroundus Mark four thirty nine. Jesus rose
and rebuked the wind and said tothe sea, peace be still. And

(10:09):
the wind ceased, and there wasa great calm. Oh I love that
scripture. The disciples were going acrossthe lakes. Jesus was in the boat
asleep, and they woke them upbecause they were in a bad storm.
And he stands up and he rebukesthe winds, He rebukes the waves,
and they all go silent, andthey go calm, and the disciples say,

(10:33):
what manner a man is this thateven the winds and the waves obey
him. The Lord is our healer. Exodus fifteen twenty six B. I
am the Lord your healer. Wow. I love that. You know,
there's a song I am the Lordthat healer thee I am the Lord your
healer. You know. It's agreat thing, you know, And we've

(10:54):
been going on in this world rightnow. There's so much sickness going on
right now, and so many peopleworried about losing their loved ones or they
have lost loved ones. We needto remember that the Lord is our healer
and look to him. Yes,we look to medication because it helps us
and we're for that, but wealso look to the Lord because he is,

(11:18):
according to the Bible, the greatphysician. So the Lord is our
healer. You know. The thingthat I think about as I think about
shelter and I think about storms. You know, in life there will always
be storms, and we got toknow when to go to the shelter.

(11:39):
We got to know when we areto go and go to that shelter and
go into our place of safety. So there's always going to be storms and
James Chapter one, I love thisscripture. He says, if any of
you lack wisdom, he should askof God, who gives generously without fall,

(12:00):
and it will be given to him. So the wisdom he is to
ask, there is wisdom through trials. We should be asking God for wisdom
each and every day to know whatto do, to know how to do
it. How am I to getthrough the storm? God? What do
you have for me? What doyou want me to do? So I

(12:22):
thought I'd take a minute and dosome prayer on this program today because I
think there are a lot of peoplethat feel like they need a strong tower,
and I want to spend some timein prayer. Lord. The Bible
says that your name is a strongtower, the name of the Lord,
and the righteous run into it andthey are safe. Lord. I pray

(12:46):
that you would help people today torun to the shelter. Lord. I
think of those that are facing fearand discouragement and depression. Lord, spread
your wings a protection over them,Spread your wings of safety over them.
Lord, And I thank you thatyou are the only place that can truly

(13:09):
provide shelter and safety. Lord.I think a Psalm ninety one, He
who dwells in the secret place ofthe Most High shall abide under the shadow
of the Almighty. I will sayof the Lord, he is my refuge,
he is my fortress, He ismy God. In him, will

(13:31):
I trust, Oh God, Ithank you. And it says later on
that he will cover you with hisfeathers, and under his wings you shall
take refuge. And it also saysthat you will give your angels command concerning
him to guard him in all hisways. Lord, thank you for Psalm

(13:52):
ninety one. Lord, and Ithank you Lord that you are our light
in our salvation. Twenty seven.Lord, the Lord is my light in
my salvation. Of whom shall Ifear? The Lord is a stronghold of
my life. Of whom shall Ibe afraid? Father, Let these not

(14:13):
just be scriptures written about in thebook in the Bible, but may they
become a revelation to our hearts ofwhat that means to understand that the Lord
is my light and the Lord ismy salvation. Of whom shall I fear?
And then I think about the factthat Lord, you are our provider.

(14:37):
You said I will supply all yourneeds according to my riches in glory.
Father, we know that your richesin glory have no end. Lord,
there's no end to your riches.I pray for those today that need
your provision. Maybe they've lost ajob or experience financial hardship, or maybe

(15:01):
they lost their business. Are therethe business they were doing when under Lord?
I don't know what is going onin their life right now, but
I pray that you would strengthen themand help them to know that you are
their provider and that you will provideaccording to your riches and glory. Lord.

(15:24):
And I thank you, Lord, that you are our deliverer. You
are our fortress, high tower, deliverer, shield, and the one who
subdues our people under our feet.God, I thank you. I thank
you you are our high tower, deliverer and shield and the one we can

(15:46):
take refuge in. Lord. Ithank you for it. Lord, I
thank you that you are the mightycounselor, the everlasting Father and the Prince
of peace. Lord. Pray forthose today that need your counsel, that
needs your guidance. Lord. Theygot things going on in their life and

(16:07):
they don't know what to do.They don't know where to turn. Lord.
And I pray for your peace, your guidance, and your direction in
their life. In the name ofJesus. Lord, I thank you that
you are the master of the windsand the waves. Lord, there are
people out there today who are justgot all kinds of life circumstances going on,

(16:32):
who, like the Disciples, feellike their boat is going to be
swamped with water. They feel likethey're going down, they're going under it.
Lord, May they know that youare with them, and I pray
that you would help them, AndI pray Lord that you would rebuke the
winds and the waves that they arefacing. Lord. I thank you that

(16:55):
Exodus fifteen twenty six says that youare the Lord healer. Lord, I
thank you that you heal through medicine, You heal through doctors. But Lord,
we also look to you while wego to the doctor and go to
the medicine, because we know,Lord, that you are the ultimate great

(17:15):
position. You are the one thatcreated us, and you're the one that
knows how to heal us. AndLord, I pray for those today that
are just faced with all kinds oftrials and they need your wisdom. Lord.
You are wisdom. Lord. Yousaid if we needed wisdom. All
we needed to do is to ask, and you would give that wisdom to

(17:40):
us that would help guide us andnavigate us through the times that we're in.
Lord, there is so much goingon right now in the world and
in people's lives, so much pain, so much hurt, so much heartache.
I pray for those that are underanxiety, that are feeling panic,

(18:00):
fear. Maybe while they're listening tothis, they're up in the middle of
the night or the wee hours ofthe morning and they're dealing with panic and
they're dealing with fear. And Ipray that you would bind panic, and
bind fear and command it to go. And I pray that in this place
would be peace and loving kindness.I pray the Angel of your presence would

(18:23):
be sent to every person listening tojust fill the place where they're at with
your presence, with your love, where they're anointing. Lord. I thank
you God. We choose to runto the shelter today. Lord, we
run into your shelter, We rununder your wings, and we Lord,

(18:45):
help us to know how to trustyou, because Lord, trust is a
big thing. Because in the midstof the storm, when we don't have
all the answers. We have tolearn how to trust you each and every
day as we walk. So,Father, I pray for those that are

(19:07):
under anxiety. I pray for thosethat have just been under depression. Maybe
they're listening to this and they're justdepressed. In the name of Jesus,
I just ask that depression be boundand be gone in the name of Jesus,
and that everybody listening instead of depression, would have the joy of the

(19:30):
Lord. Father, you said, the joy of the Lord is our strength,
and so Father, I pray forjoy. I pray for happiness.
I pray that we would take amoment today, as we're in the shelter
of your presence, to think aboutall the different ways that you have blessed
us. In the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank you so much

(19:52):
for what you're doing in our lives, this incredible Lord, and so we
just as we those out this program, Father, I pray that your peace
would linger and stay in the placeswhere different people are listening. I pray

(20:15):
that your abiding presence would be witheach and every person. And I just
pray for those today that are sufferingfrom illness, that are in that battle
with a physical illness and they've beenfighting it for a long time. Lord,
you are the healer, and yousaid in your word that you sent
your word and healed them. SoI pray for your healing anointing over the

(20:41):
everybody listening, that your healing anointingwould be upon them and touch them and
heal them. Lord, I thankyou and I do praise you because you
are worthy of praise. Lord.I thank you God that there's no impress
situation. With man, it mightbe impossible, but with God, everything

(21:07):
is possible. Lord. I prayfor those today that feel like giving up.
Maybe they've had enough, they saidI've had enough, I'm done.
Lord, I pray that you wouldgive them strength to take one more step,
to go another day, give thempeace to walk the walk, to

(21:29):
be with you, to walk withyou, to say one more prayer,
to take one more step. Andso I pray for those that want to
give up, Lord, that youwould let them know that they haven't disappointed
you. You would let them knowthat you love them, you care for
them, Lord, and that youwant to help them in the midst of

(21:49):
the situation they're in. Lord,I thank you that you care about us.
You know where we're at. Youknow when we sit y, you
know when we rise. You knowour thoughts, You know them full well.
And they asked this in the nameof Jesus. Amen. Hey,
