Speaker 1 (00:00):
I saw this video. I did because you have a
twelve year little girl, right, yes, yes, I do. She
has a cell phone, so does her younger sister. We
got cell phones for them when they turn ten, so
you know, the double digits are like, yeah, let's go
ahead and get them phones. They they're out with friends now,
you know, they're starting to do that kind of earlier nowadays,

(00:20):
sure they're at school. You know, the protection in schools
today a kind of wishy washy. So we thought this
would be a great way to track our children as
well as for them to call us if they ever
knew anything. And of course that came with you know, mom,
can I download this? Can download that? Both phones actually
have parental controls set on them, so that in order
for them to download an app, it does have to

(00:42):
come to our phone and we have to say, yeah,
your name, okay, that's good. This partecture this particular app though,
you know, I'm a mom of five in total. I
just looked at it and said, oh, twelve plus it's
in her age rank. It's like a little avatar looking game.
She's just dressing up at all. Approve right, I approved it.
You know, Over the time she started becoming very like

(01:03):
I want to get on the path. I want to
get on this app. And I'm like, hey, home girl,
Like what's going on? What are you doing? And like,
why do you keep trying to go to this app?
And your face is just in your phone? Twenty four
seven And I routinely every Sunday I do phone checks.
I pick up the phones and I don't care if
you're on I'm right bit in there. Give me your phone.
I want to see it. And I went through her phone,

(01:23):
and you know, I went through the text messages, I
went through the phone calls, the facetimes, and then I
kept thinking to myself, why does she keep getting on
this app? So I go into the app and what
I found is just absolutely disgusting. They're allowed to go
into private rooms on this app with other avatar players
from around the world. They're also able to chat with

(01:44):
them individually, so and send pictures in these chats, yeah, discussing.
I mean, yeah, what what did you see? Yeah? So
one of them, and I can't tell you know, I
can't tell you this is a guy or girl because
of orse, their picture for their profile is some after
looking character. But this person in particular was asking, you know,

(02:06):
my darlet, where do you live, you know, where do
you go to school? Have you ever had sex before?
Have you ever drank? And he even referred and even
like deferred and said, hey, I thought you're only like
ten years old. And my daughter was like yeah, and
he's like, okay, have you ever had a lesbian touch you?
Oh my god,

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
