(00:10):
Good day ladies and gentlemen. WayneElliott here from Health and Wellness with Wayne
Elliott, and pleased to be heretoday with a dear old friend and highly
educated gentleman, PhD. Nutritionist, doctor Michael Garko is with us today and
I'm sure you'll be interested in whathe has to say about health, wellness

(00:33):
and sickness. Doctor Garko. Welcometo the show. Wayne, Thank you
for inviting me. It's always apleasure to be with you and in your
audience, and it's an honor tobe with you again. Our roles are
switched a little bit. Usually Iwas interviewing you on my show, that's
right, reviewing me over over fiftytimes. We're together on doctor Garco's Let's

(01:00):
Talk Nutrition show, which was syndicatednationally and stream globally. And UH it
was always my pleasure to be withdoctor Garko. Always learned a lot and
UH we had some some great showstogether. So he's with us here today.
And doctor Garko, I know you'vehad your own experience with h with
some of the frying Strouss formulas, and UH can speak to their benefits to

(01:26):
the folks. These are are primarilycleansing formulas, you know, the bladder,
the kidney, the prostate. I'llhave golden seal root which helps kill
bacteria oftentimes the culprit in those partsof our body. Uh. The Strouss
heart drops, the world famous Strossheart drops to ensure blood flows everywhere we

(01:47):
have an artery, vein or tinyvessel in our bodies. Plaque and cholesterol
is not limited to just our heartarteries or our crowded arteries, to our
brain, and our blood carries everythingof course, from our food, to
our waste, to our water, wastewater most important oxygen. Without that oxygen,

(02:08):
we can have heart attack or stroke. Those carrotid arteries up the side
of sides of our neck can getthose stringy fats and even more difficult to
treat. And so that oxygen andblood flow is just perhaps the most important
body function, Doctor Garco, wouldyou agree, Well, you know,

(02:32):
no oxygen, you die, soyeah, and your your cardiovascular system is
that you know, as I havementioned to you other times, using that
little pun is at the heart ofthe matter regarding our health. And I

(02:53):
always like to I look for quotesand ways to help remind myself of how
important health is to us. AndI know on other shows I've mentioned to
you the first century Roman poet MarcusVarilius Marcialis who said life is not living

(03:15):
but living in health close quote. And our health and our wellness are our
most valuable assets. Without your health, you know, there is no wealth,
there is no quality of life.I don't care how rich you are,
how famous you are, whatever. At the end of the day,

(03:38):
it is your health, even ifyou think about it for a second.
Even when people get the flu orcold, they can get sick to the
extent where you know, they don'tfeel so good in the quality of life
is not really good. And that'sjust with a cold or flu. You
start to get into some of theseserious diseases heart is these cancer good,

(04:01):
you know, whatever it might be, all these different forms of autoimmune diseases,
the quality of life is not onlydisrupted, but your entire life is
turned upside down. And hopefully itdoesn't lead to an outcome that you know
where you die. So shows suchas this are very important because people,

(04:24):
really, I believe Wayne, peoplewant to do the right thing, but
sometimes they don't know what the rightthing is, and sometimes they don't have
enough information or they have too muchinformation, or they have the wrong information,
they can get off on the wrongpath. So it shows such as
this is intended to help educate,to help empower people to take charge of

(04:47):
their health. Well, I know, with all those shows we did together
in past doc you didn't hesitate everonce to I don't know if you coined
the expression, but you always saidyour health your wealth, and you've just
explained that very well, and it'sit's absolutely true. All the money in
the world won't do you any goodif you're not well or if you have

(05:09):
one of these serious ailments. Andyou make a good point as well.
All it takes is a common coldor influenza bee to make you appreciate feeling
better. There's just no doubt aboutthat. And some of these diseases really
really make people's lives miserable. Andwe've talked before about the importance of prevention

(05:31):
and lifestyle and so forth. Tryingto get enough sleep, eat enough good
food, try and stay away fromthe refined carbs and the sugars, try
to maintain a normal healthy weight,be active enough. You know, the
creator gave us arms and legs fora reason, we should use them.

(05:53):
And you don't have to do strenuousexercise, even a stroll or a half
an hour on your hand and kneesin the garden picking weeds and picking some
nice produce for yourself is all important, I think, and you and I
have talked about it many times. And these herbal one hundred percent natural botanical

(06:14):
formulas that Stross has made, andsome of them will go back two hundred
years, doctor Garko, the cardio, the bladder or the prostate, the
kidney formulas, and they've just triedand true, they've they've shown to be
safe. There's not been one complaintto Health Canada or to the FDA or

(06:36):
the Stross company about damage or seriousside effects from these formulas. And what
I love about the Stross company, doctor Garco, is that you don't need
a reason if you are not satisfied. They insist that you get a full
refund. They may have a bleedingheart, so to speak, but they
will not see someone cheated for theirmoney, or to have a complaint that

(07:00):
they were cheated for their money. So, between the combination of the record
of safety and the fact that youcan't be cheated for your money if you're
not satisfied. It's you really havenothing to lose with these formulas and so
much to gain, as you andI have both experienced me in my own
personal life. Of course, fromearly days of after sports, poor health

(07:28):
choices and became overweight, I didand too inactive, lots of stress with
business and so forth, and itdidn't work well for me. Even though
heart disease ran in my family,I did think I was going to break
the record and be the youngest tobe taken with heart disease in my thirties.

(07:48):
And I'm just so grateful for thatmost profound day I learned of the
stross heart drops, and and hereI am now feeling better at sixty eight
and I did at thirty eight, which is really something. And I'll be
forever grateful for that, duck.Sure, And your health is your wealth,
and there's another peace to that,And your health is the wealth of

(08:13):
those that care about and love you. And my dad, when I was
a boy, you always used tosay your health is your wealth. And
then as I got into doing myown show for almost sixteen years nationally syndicated
across the US five hundred cities andstreamed around the world, it occurred to

(08:33):
me. It's not only your wealth, but if something should befall you,
your loss is going to be theloss of those people that care about and
love you. So your health isyour health is your wealth, and your
health is the wealth of those thatcare about and love you. And as
as Marcialis Marcus Marcialis, the Romanpoets said, life is not living but

(08:58):
living in health, as I mentionedearlier, and living in health is not
out automatically guaranteed. You have towork at it. You have to be
mindful of it. You have tobe diligent, and you have to be
consistent. Health doesn't Amazon is notgoing to leave a box at your door
that says, here's your health. It's not happening. You have to create

(09:22):
it. You can create, sustain, and reclaim your health primarily with the
way you eat what you eat, your relationship with food that is, and
your lifestyle. That's where you havethe ability to influence your destiny. Now
you know, I'm a great believerthat controls an illusion. And then much

(09:45):
of our life, things that happento us are random and unexpected, and
there's a lot of ambiguity and uncertainty, and so but where we do have
the ability to take some unquote controlis the choices that we make relative to
our relationship with food and the waywe want to live. And hence an

(10:09):
enter stage left diet lifestyle and dietarysupplementation exactly duc. And you know,
I recall so vividly all back andI guess the late seventies, early eighties
when I read an article about theearlobe crease, and folks can google Frank,

(10:33):
the man's name, Frank Frank's creasec R E A S E,
and the picture of an earlobe willpop up and you will see the crease
that we're talking about. Well, when I read this article from Harvard Medical,
they had discovered nineteen I think itwas nineteen seventy two, doctor Garco
that the earlobe crease was not onlythe best predictor of clog dardaries, but

(10:58):
it was better than all of theother indicators put together. Traglycerides, cholesterol,
obesity, smoking, a hereditary environment. All of those put together were
not the indicator the earlobe crease. And I hadn't yet began to suffer the
angina symptoms, but it was verysoon after that that I did in my

(11:20):
mid thirties, and I remember thearticle, of course, very clearly,
because that day, when I readthe article, I looked into mir saw
a crease in both ear lobes. Then I looked at some family photos of
grandparents and uncles and cousins who hadbeen law aunts who had been lost to
heart disease, and be darned ifthey didn't have creases in their ear lobes,

(11:45):
and I just, I mean,it scared me. I hadn't met
Strauss yet or known anything about healthor natural health, and I think I
was the luckiest guy in the worldreally to make it through a number of
years developed angina, all the anginasymptoms, and the irregular heartbeat not too
long afterwards, and just the luckiestday in my life was the day that

(12:09):
I was introduced to Stross heart drops. And then the most profound experience in
my life was my relationship with JimStrouss. And so I've as you know,
I've never stopped singing their praises eversince I returned to good health.
And both my parents and friends andfamily and so many people that I've been
involved with with these cleansing detoxing products, really, but starting with the stross

(12:35):
heart drops. It's it's amazing, really painless, economical, you know,
not invasive. But that Frank's crease. Folks should should look that up.
You can google Frank's crease see itfor yourself. Don't be confused, ladies
by the line you may have fromyour pierced ear rings. There'll be a
separate, distinct crease if you haveone. And since that's doctor Garcole.

(13:00):
In two thousand and eight, therewas a very extensive study in Denmark which
showed exactly the same result that thatit was the best predictor of of cloud
garteris yeah. That the there wasa follow by the name of doctor Sanders
T. Frank and that's where itbecame. The crease was later called Frank's

(13:24):
sign was named after after him.You know. Uh, whereas a normal
earlobe is smooth, and earlobe witha crease has a fold, a straight
line or what appears to looks likea little wrinkle that that cuts across the
ear cuts them the earlobe in half. Um. And there were you know,

(13:46):
there was earlier early studies. Uh. And one I think when there
was an open letter and my memoryserves me in the Journal in New England
Journal in Medicine nineteen seventy three. And then there was a there was a
study that showed a correlation between thecrease and having coronary artery disease. Scientists

(14:09):
are not quite sure how the twoare connected. Some think that the generation
degeneration of elastic tissue around the smallblood vessels that carry blood to the earlobe
produces that earlobe crease, and it'sthe same thing that might occur in blood
vessels with respect to coronary artery disease. And put in other terms, the

(14:33):
visible changes that show up in tinyblood vessels of the ear could also the
a harbinger of similar kinds of delatariouschanges that are happening in the blood vessels
around the heart. So that's sortof taking what you said and piecing it
all together in some condensed form.Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of

(14:58):
death in the United States, hasbeen for decades. Everybody thinks it's cancer,
it is not. And by theway, coronary artery disease is not
a man's disease. Women also sufferfrom coronary artery disease. They are susceptible
to and it is a silent killer. You've mentioned that a number of times

(15:22):
when you've been on air with me. It is a silent killer. It
doesn't necessarily begin an old age.It can begin in childhood. And we
see that now, especially with childrenthat are overweight and obese eight nine,
ten, eleven years old. Theseyoungsters are all maybe even earlier, starting
to show signs of coronary artery diseaseas manifested by what they call a fatty

(15:45):
streak that is in the artery. And then these kids that are overweight and
obese, you know that at avery young age, are taking high blood
pressure medications, anti cholesterol medications. They're suffering from adult disease. We're just
going to break for a minute tohave a word from our sponsor. We'll
be right back with doctor Michael GarkoWayne Elliott on the Strouss Company, famous

(16:10):
for effective natural medicines and again makingoriginal formulas for heart disease, kidneys,
diabetes, and blood pressure. Yearsago, I had wonderful experiences and can
tell stories till the cows come homeof the world famous Stross heart drops that
saved my life and my parents byhelping return full blood flow. Stross products
are one hundred percent natural, safesatisfaction guaranteed, you can't go wrong.

(16:32):
I promise that. Finds stories everywhereor online at Stross Natural dot com.
Okay, welcome back, folks.Have been having a conversation with my guest,
doctor Michael Garko, a very highlyeducated gentleman who spent his whole life

(16:56):
studying about health and nutrition. Andit's always a pleasure for me to speak
to doctor Garko. We've done alot of radio shows. I was a
guest on more than fifty of hisshows. Let's let's talk nutrition. So
he's here today sharing his wealth ofknowledge with us. We've just been talking
about clogged arteries and these issues withheart disease and how we're experiencing today.

(17:22):
We're seeing today even young children withhypertension and cholesterol issues. And we've talked
about this before, doctor Garco. Some of it has to do with less
activity. Back when we were young, our mothers would show us outside to
play and get some exercise, andwhether it was snow on or it was

(17:45):
hot outside, we were to getoutside. And of course with these video
games and other things, there's there'smany kids that are leading a much less
active childhood than than what many ofus did you years ago, and obesity
and other problems hypertension and such arebecoming the results. And I think I'd

(18:07):
like to stress for the folks listeningin doc the importance of clean tissues and
these Stross formulas like the world famousStross heart drops for keeping our blood system
arteries, veins, and vessels cleanand giving us blood flow everywhere we're meant
to have it, which is everysingle cell in our bodies. You know,

(18:30):
the cardio formula for damaged heart cellsto help our body rebuild damaged heart
cells for rhythmia, irregular heartbeat,is what it fixed for me. I'm
so grateful for many many years ago. The bladder formula, Fabulous formula,
the kidney formula, and the prostateformula for men. The bladder, kidney,

(18:52):
and prostate Doctor Garco all have incommon. The Golden Seal route,
which is a highly effect of antibioticherb as you know, uh and uh,
you know, it's just wonderful. They're they're they're non invasive. Uh,
they've been shown to be safe, they're economical. I always say that
to take one of these formula's doccosts about the same as a small drive

(19:17):
through cup of coffee. Uh.And so just to put it in perspective,
uh uh. And the results, for the most part, no one
has to tell you you're doing better. You will. You will generally feel
it when that energy increases with theblood flow and so forth. Yeah,
you will. And um, youknow, these these products the the heart

(19:40):
drops. And I'm gonna just putit. Pair it up here for a
second. With the kidney support formulaare constituted of botanicals. Herbs, These
ancient herbs, herbs are the uhand yet another gift from nature. Now,
I'm all about the science. I'vebeen trained in that tradition. I've

(20:02):
had great professors, great background intraining. But I'm also a great believer
in traditional knowledge that's been passed onfor centuries, if not thousands of years,
from one generation and ancestry to another. And we know that botanicals and
if you look at Chinese medicine,it's over five thousand years old. Are

(20:22):
your vitic medicine rely heavily, heavilyon herbs and spices. There's a reason.
Remember this is always about chemistry too. People seem to forget it is
chemistry. These botanicals have these properties, these chemical properties that have all sorts

(20:44):
of positive effects on our system generallyand specific systems like the cardiovascular system.
And I mentioned the hard drops andthe kidney support formula together because your heart
and your kidneys aren't intimately inextricably connected. Kidney disease can promote heart disease.

(21:08):
Heart disease can promote kidney disease. We could get into that in a lot
of detail, but generally speaking, there is a very strong correlation. That's
why many cardiologists are very much interestedin the kidney function and health of their
patients and will refer them out sometimesto a physician who can take care of

(21:30):
that as well. So you know, it's a good idea to consider if
you have, especially if you haveheart disease or if you have kidney disease
or both, to take these productsin tandem, take them together. It's
a must. The heart drops andthe kidney formula. Yes, I agree
with you. And if you havehypertension high blood pressure, whether it is

(21:52):
your kidneys or your heart that's thecause, taking both of those will look
after it. My case, itwas the kidney with my high blood pressure
many years ago, and in threemonths on the kidney formula, my blood
pressure ever since has been one twentyover seventy. Now. The strokes heart
drops, I'll never quit taking.I I since it seems to run in

(22:17):
my family, the heart disease andhardening of the arteries and clogged arteries,
heart attacks and so forth. It'sit's been our number one killer, that's
for sure in my family. SoI you know, at in my sixty
ninth year, I don't want tostart clogging up again, doc, I

(22:37):
don't want any blood flow restrictions.I the first, the first thing that
happened to me with the heart dropsafter two weeks, was the hearing returned
to my left ear. Never dreamedit had anything to do with puss,
never dreamed that. I was shockedwhen it happened to me, truthfully,
And so you know, it's notjust as you can confirm, it's not
just our heart, arteries or thecrowd AT's running to our brain. Uh,

(23:02):
it's everywhere our blood flows. Weneed that blood and just to the
tiniest vessels. When I think offolks with grayish blue lips or skin,
that's that's a lack of blood flowto the skin and in no time you'll
see them after taking stross heart dropshave an even color and uh and lose

(23:22):
that bluish gray. We're not meantto be that color, no, not
even at Halloween. So it isit is important here to understand that high
blood pressure is one of those riskfactors for coronary artery disease because high blood

(23:45):
pressure, as in the words pressureis putting. There's pressure put against the
inner lining of the artery, theendothelium. When you put pressure against that
artery, the more and if it'sconsistent in assistant, you begin to damage
that lining, to score it,and the body wants to repair it,

(24:07):
and in the process of repairing it, you start this plaquing process, which
we could get into. But thepoint is here that there are a number
of modifiable and non modifiable risk factorsfor coronary artery disease. In terms of
these um non modifiable risk factors, you know, aging is non modifiable.

(24:33):
You're going to age whether you wantto or not. Your ethnicity race.
We know that for example, Africanmales, African American males have a greater
propensity for heart disease high blood pressurethan do other other males of other races,

(24:56):
which is kind of interesting and sore. And then they're you're etics.
But then there's that modifiable list.Your diet and your lifestyle get implicated heavily
here, and I've mentioned these variablesbefore. These these risk factors smoking,
poor nutrition, physical inactivity or sedentarylifestyle, excessive alcohol consumption, high stress,

(25:22):
stress as a killer man. I'vedone so many shows on stress,
high blood pressure, elevated low densitythe book protein. People call that the
bad cholesterol or hot when that's highor when the good cholesterol the hdo high
density the book protein is low.Your trianglycerides too high, glucose intolerance,

(25:45):
which is diabetes, will cause heartdisease. Vibritagen home a cystein see react
to protein, and then the overarchingnemesis and culprit inflammation. Inflammation is always
implicated when healing, and when damageis done, it's a good thing gone

(26:07):
bad. Too much inflammation because you'reconsistently damaging the arteries with a bad diet,
bad lifestyle, and environmental toxins thatare getting into your into your system,
So it does get a little complicated. But then when you're distill it
down. You just need to bepracticing a good diet, good lifestyle,

(26:30):
and good dietary supplementation in a veryconsistent way. You must be consistent.
As I mentioned to you on othershows, doing catches catch can doesn't work
and the people say, well Itook those and they didn't work. Well,
they when they're sitting on the counter, they're not going to work.

(26:51):
You gotta take You have to unscrewthat lid. I gotta take them.
Yeah, you gotta take them, folks. To find out more information or

pleasure. And uh you look great, Doc. You keep up the good
work yourself, and thanks for joiningus, folks. They will be back
with you next week at the sametime at the same hour. Look forward

to being with you then for anotherinteresting show with another great guest. And
