Speaker 2 (00:56):
This brother has been very, very inspiring. His brother took
an idea and take took this idea and made it
a reality. All Ball TV's Tucson. He's here talking about
All Ball and I'm so happy for him because you
know what, if you want to talk basketball twenty four seven,

(01:17):
three sixty five, three sixty seven leap year.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
All Ball TV is where you need to be.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Because he gives you to you the real and it's unbelievable.
I see Kenny Anderson just staying in.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
The bed when he be talking about basketball, laying down.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I'm like Kenny, get up, Kenny, You come on, Man,
get up in it, Kenneth, get up.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Tucson. Hey, thanks for joining me.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Man, really appreciate you taking time out and let's get
right into it. Man, you're a diehard Knicks fan. You
don't make no bones about it. Yes, scene is now
pretty much at five hundred. They haven't gone on that
sort of so called long winning streak that you know
would say, hey, this is pandimic after that trade. How

(02:01):
concerned are you that this team is still trying to
figure things out?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
First, first, and foremost. Before I get started, I just
want to tell you thank you. Appreciate you for having
me on your platform. All Ball TV wouldn't exist without
the helping you, my brother, So I'm there for you
any time you need me, no matter what it is.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Man, appreciate you. I'm very concerned.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I'm not one of those I'm a dalhard Knicks fan
and I can be nuts and delusional, but I also
can be realistic.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
I'm very concerned us being three and three.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
We should be five and one. We shouldn't have lost
to Houston and we shouldn't have lost to Cleveland. And
I'm not giving no excuses Jerald, I'm not giving us
fifteen to twenty games.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
I watched guys like Buddy Hill.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Fits seamless, seamlessly in Golden State, So it's possible that
you can go to a new team and things work out.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
This is on Tom Tip jail and Brunson. Nobody's a
bigger jail in Brunson fan.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I mean, I'm a Jaellen bruns Is stand but these
first six games, he has been playing great basketball. We
trade for cat in all bridges and they're playing okay.
But I'm I'm very concerned, you know, to play them
guys too many minutes, you know, and it's like every
game we play like it's a playoff game, and I

(03:25):
don't know how that's gonna last a whole season. So
to nca initial, I'm very concerned about my knicks.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah, I mean you have to look at it from
the standpoint of, you know, these guys gotta gradually get going.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
And let's be honest, the Eastern Conference is not really
like the Western Conference. So you know, the biggest thing is,
like you said before, is really trying to minimize the
minutes that Tibbs is putting on those guys' legs. Man,
you know you're gonna have to meet those guys close
toss as fresh as possible come playoff time, because that's

(04:01):
when the real season starts.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
But you know, hey, I agree with you know.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I was surprised the loss at Cleveland simply because you
know Cleveland, they've.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Had Cleveland's number right from regular season, postseason, and it
carried over two years ago, and it just seems like,
you know.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
What, they're still trying to figure things out, having Cat
there and involved.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
But when you look at that Eastern Conference too, you.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Look at them and he say, wait a minute, Cleveland
is sitting up there at eight to no. You have
them undefeated thus far. You know, Boston has been pretty
much Boston. They look like they have just continued on
and this is game ten from last year of the playoffs,
right and then after that, it's just been kind of

(04:51):
everybody trying to figure out how to fit in. Now
we've had that injury that I always talked about if
as a team, who was team with benefit from another
team's injury, maybe a top tier team. We've had that
already with the Orlando Magic, with the injury Apollo Bank, Carol,
who do you think really would benefit the most from

(05:13):
this injury, which now has forced you know, Orlando back
to two games under five hundred at this junctcher, Well.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
It shouldn't be my mix, to be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
We noticed every season in the NBA, you know, a
lot of teams, you know, they catch breaks and there's
also a little bit of luck involved. And look how
the season starting out. You know, I hopeing Carol can
hurry up and recover and get healthy, because that young
man is a great basketball player. But that sets Orlando
Magic back. Look at the problems Philadelphia is happening. Look

(05:49):
at the problems Walks happened. Mi Yendi is not the
juggernaut and the sneaky team that they used to be
outlive the regular season.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Now we know they're a different team in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
But these are teams that you thought the start of
the season was just gonna go crazy. So for me,
I think my Knicks should be the team that benefits
from something like this. But once again, a Tom Thibodau
coach team, one minute we look great, one minute we don't.
It Just to piggyback off what you said last season

(06:20):
and probably the season before a lot of games, Tom
Thibodaux lost us being up double digits. So the way
we looked at Cleveland, that wasn't surprising whether we had
Kat or Julius Rand with Dante Divinceenzo. These are the
things that Timms has to fix if he wants to
get to the next level.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, you're right about that.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
You know too when you look at Philadelphia, Philadelphia is
just really really I wouldn't even say a mess because
you have a situation where and being a suspended Paul
George is probably he's coming back now, he's gonna play
against the Clippers.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Right when you look at this what what what? What is?

Speaker 2 (07:03):
What? What do you make of this whole start for
the Sixers? And how difficult will it be do you
think for them to recover from this?

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Well, it's a guy that nobody blames and is Daryl Morey.
Daryl Mormy is a mess man, you know, and and
he flies under the radar. Nobody blames him for anything.
This is his mess, you know. Look at the problems
with Philly's starting with when they had Doc Rivers and
Ben Simmons over there, they had Jimmy Butler, they had

(07:33):
James Harden and then now they basically turned into.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
The Clippers of the East.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, you know, and it's it's not a coincidence that
imbid is suspended. But you know what game they say
he's supposed to come back right Tuesday against my Knicks.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Come on, man, it's it's not even They're not even
hiding it.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
You know.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
It's it's all about the money, it's all about advertisement.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
But Philly is a mess. Gerald and I'm gonna be honest,
poor George in and B. You can't trust them to
stay healthy.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
You know.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
I don't wish harm or hurt on anybody, but those
guys just can't stay healthy. And until in B takes
his team to the next level, gets past the second round,
I don't think there'll never be a threat. So with
that mix, with that GM over there, that's just a mess. Listen, man,
they may have to break that whole thing down and
maybe build around MAXI and keep pull George and let

(08:28):
it be go.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I think that we're set up for an interesting trade
dead line going into the NBA offseason next year. Where
I think clearly look Milwaukee right now is that is
at the bottom. They look horrible, and you know they're
doing this minus injuries, there's.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Not it's just not a good fit.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
And then on top of that, look, it's been reported
that there's some rumblings that Giannis wants out and trying
to find a place for him where you can get
draft picks and try to start building. Well, if Yannis goes,
I think the first domino is gonna be Damian Lillard
because of the amount of money that he's gonna be
old for the next couple of years.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
And then I look at the partner and the partnership
or the fracture of that partnership down in Miami with
Jimmy Butler and pat Riley, and look, Jimmy Butler wants
a franchise. He wants a max deal to showcase that
he's a franchise player. But when you look at this team, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
They got lucky a couple of years back and got
to the NBA Finals and stuff, but he hasn't played
that well. And really this doesn't seem like he puts
that much emphasis on the regular season. I look at
those three guys right off the back, and I might
throw mbat unless things get real, real difficult there. I
look at perhaps Butler, Butler at least Butler, Jannis Butler

(09:51):
and Lillard being traded this trade deadline? How surprised would
you be if we had seen something like that take place?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
So I wouldn't be.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
I would be surprised if Dame Lillard is traded because
Joanna's advocated for that.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
I gotta give a big shot.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
To Kadian and said, we had him on the platform
last night and he says something that Hally nobody said
during this whole thing with Gianni's, you know, saying that
he's not happy you asked for this. Ya faire Griffin,
you got doc in y'all traded for Drew Holliday, y'all
wasn't pat you with Dante DiVincenzo. You got what you
asked for. You gotta thug it out. Don't leave them

(10:32):
hog and drop, because now where does that leave Dame Lillard?
And look at this Iami Joe Dave Lillard wanted to
go to Miami. Now yan is one of his destinations
is Miami, so you know it's it's it's a lot
of weird stuff going on the Miami. He think with
Jimmy Butler, I'm gonna be honest, Pat Rowley in uh,

(10:55):
the city of Miami, y'all gotta let him go.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Y'all tried it, y'all can't get over the hump.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
But I'm gonna be honest. You know you're a Miami
Heat fan. I need you to help me understand. Why
is it so difficult for people to want to go
to Miami. Miami should be, you know, a destination. Is
it that Pat Rowley maybe a little bit too sterny
today's game?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yeah, I think clearly that's the case.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Looks it's Rally's way or nowhere at all. You know,
the foundation of that organization is really solid. I look
at them and maybe San Antonio where you have organization
structure into a place where, look, you're not gonna come
in there and and talk greasy and grind me about
the head coach and try to get him fired. No,

(11:42):
we are a team. We are solid. This is how
we do it. This is what they call Heat culture.
And the interesting thing you mentioned about Gianna's going to Miami, well,
you gotta look at this from the standpoint if anybody's
gonna be traded for Gianni's, you're gonna have to have
the monies to match it up and the draft capital.
So if Jimmy Butler, who oh, by the way, went

(12:04):
to Marquette University. You trade him. He's on the expiring contract.
He has to come to Minister of Miami, excuse me, Milwaukee,
and showcase that you know what he's worth a franchise
player contract. That is a great option. I got another
one that's kind of sneaky if you can figure out
a way, and this is the Clippers. And I know

(12:26):
they gave a lot of tough capital to the Pacers,
but if you're able to get Yanni's there and pair
them up with I don't know, you trade James Harden.
I don't know, somehow someway, but you put Gianni's perhaps
they're on the West coast.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
He's gonna have.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
To go to a major market, right, It's time to
get him out of there.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
He's gonna have to go to a major market.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
But I think clearly it's all about Moneies and I think, Dame,
you know, wherever these two guys go, they're going to
have three guys that is, you're gonna have to make
the money match. So that's why when you look at
a team like Miami, you got Jimmy Butler.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
There, it makes sense that if he ended a backup
in Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
You know, it's pretty much a situation where you're kind
of starting over for them.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
He you made a great point.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
But the Yannis thing is very interesting, right because I've
been saying this now for almost almost two seasons. Jannis
is too big for that city. Yeah, what's that saying?
A big fish in a small pond.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, big fish and a small pond.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
And you know, Jannis in the big market of la A,
New York, A Chicago, listen, a Golden State.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
Listen, man.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
These guys have opportunities to become billionaires if they put
themselves in the right situation, in the right city, in
the right circumstances. To me, there's two places Jiannis can
go where his career would thrive and he can put
his name with the greats.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Is either New Yorker La Plane.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
If he brings a championship to the Clippers or to
the Knicks, his name will go up with the greats.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
So his situation is very interesting. I think Dame and.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Jimmy Butler, no matter where they go, I'm gonna be honest,
Jimmy is not gonna get Max money. I think that's
already done with this is why Miami's not paying him yet.
They've been Y've been to a couple of finals, Eastern
Crawfins finings, but still you know, Jimmy's not enough. So
I agree with you. It's gonna be very interesting to
see what's gonna happen before this trade deadline, because my opinion,

(14:32):
a lot of these guys are not happy, and I think,
I don't think what's going on when and be can
be fixed because once you kind of turn on the
fan base like that, and once you put your hands
on a reporter, psychologically and mentally, you basically told him
I'm done.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Well, I think winning cures all ills. You know, Look,
if he comes.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Back, him and Paul George, they get it going, and
you got Tyre's Maxie there. I mean, I think they
can figure this out. But clearly I agree with you. Look,
I think clearly this doesn't work out. I would not
be surprised and Be says, hey, I want to go
somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
He's gotten his.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Money and then basically, you know what they started new
with Tyrese MAXI being a focal point.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
And build around him. But I don't know if I
don't know if dal Moriy survives this one.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
If this situation goes left and it doesn't turn out well,
and you know, look, I don't know how long Paul
George would be there, but dal Moriy, he I don't
see him really surviving this. If this thing doesn't pick
up well and stuff, you know, it could be a major,

(15:48):
major problem moving forward though.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
To you know, before we get.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Into the Western Conference, I want to make sure you
know again all Ball TV on YouTube, it's all on
social media, talk about how you got started all Ball TV.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
Yes, well I have to.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
You know, I'm gonna try to be as quick as possible,
but I'm gonna try to take your time.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
Let let's go.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
So.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
So, I've always been a guy that I've been in
love with basketball since I was a kid.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
I played.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Of course, I wasn't good enough to make it to
the next level, but I played high schootball or never
played college ball because you know, got caught.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Up into the streets.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
But no matter what, my love for basketball was just
that's what my neighborhood was. When Biggie said, either your
slinging or you guy that wicked jumps, that's for really
you from Harlem. So you know, man, We argue on
the corner on the blocks all day, all night about basketball.
So I got to give a big shout out to
my guy Eggie. Every time I run into Eggie, we

(16:48):
argue and talk about basketball. And he actually said, you
need to start a podcast, and I said, I.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Don't know how, but I'm always on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
And he introduced me to you, and I remember me
talking to you and going, yo, man, I want to
start YouTube and you said, yo, you gotta build a
fan base.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
And I said, how do you do that?

Speaker 3 (17:06):
And you You've been there every step of the way.
You said, hey man, Facebook, Instagram. You know, you even
told me about some of the Twitter spaces and things
like that to jump in those things. And I took
all of your advice and I'm here now in All
Ball TV. Now has grown to where, you know, I've
networked and grew relationship with guys like you, Theo Ratler

(17:28):
and Toine Walker, Kenny Anderson, Alexander Aker, Keith Klaus, and
the list goes on and on the overseas guys, so
it you know, it's really grew to something. And like
I said, We're on YouTube, on Instagram, on Twitter, Facebook.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Everything is All Ball TV.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
And you know, I've always wanted to build a platform
to talk real sports from a New York perspective. Everybody
knows that you're from New York. The guy I can't
do it talks the most men. Yes, the shortest guy
will tell a guy that's seven foot I could beat you.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
One on one.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
The guy that can't fight, or tell a pro boxer
I whip you, you know what. So I wanted to
bring that to social media, just the rawness, the realness
of how New York guys talk sports and how much
we love sports. And you know, it's no disrespecting nobody,
but this is just our New York flavor. And you
know it got me here to be on live camera

(18:27):
with my brother Jeffrey Brown.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Man.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
I appreciate it, man, you know it's you know again,
you give me a lot of credit. I appreciate that.
But you know what, you put the time in, you
put the work in. And you know I've said this
to you via text as well as verbally, and I
say it again, I'm so so proud of you because
you know, you took your idea and made it a

(18:49):
reality and then growing it to now you having a
roller dex that you're continuing to evolve and develop, and
you know, again just authentic basketball tour, it's great.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
And then you know, having people that's coming on is
very very inspiring, man.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
And you know what I always tell you, keeps driving, man,
he keeps driving and stuff like that, because all.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Ball TV is gonna be something. Man. It is already something.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
It's gonna be on a different platform and bigger and better.
And when you look back on it, man, you know
you say, you know, this is where I came from
and humble beginnings, and this is where we're at now.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
And how can people find out about it? Again? It's
all ball.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
On right now on all.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Platforms, YouTube, on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter is all ball Space
TV on all platforms Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
And you know I do.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Lives on Instagram, but Monday through Friday, every Monday through Friday,
every weekday, six pm Eastern time, we're live on YouTube.
And you know, we talk a lot of knicks. We
have guests up there, and we also react to you know,
certain guys talking sports or we just come up with
our own topics.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Now I want to get into the Western contin boy,
to let you get on out of here. Obviously, what's
been very surprising to me has been the Phoenix Suns.
You know, they have been one that they've been scoring.
But before them, I got to say, the Golden State Warriors.
I didn't see them coming out being six and one.
They're playing as we're taping right now, but I didn't

(20:29):
see this team coming out as strong as they have.
Some of that, I could say maybe is a product
of the schedule, but still in all, this is Golden
State Warriors. I had put them in the ground, put
the tombstone and said, you know what, I even said
that things would get so bad that quietly Steph Curry

(20:49):
would ask to be moved in the offseason and I
had the perfect place for him, and that being Orlando Magic.
So I'm just kind of surprised that that's my surprise
team out West thus far.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Who's yours?

Speaker 4 (21:04):
I have to I have to agree with you everything
you said.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
I literally said the same thing, and one thing with
me when I'm wrong, and I'll make a mocker with myself.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
I'm always wrong, and I'm fine with that.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
The Golden State Warriors, I was dead wrong, And like
you said, I don't care who they play. They play,
Who's on the schedule, and even with the teams they played,
I did not see them being six and one. Now
I've seen them being one and six, but we forgot
they have championship pedigree.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
And I have to give big props to Steve Kirk.
I'm not a big Steve Kirk.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Fan, and you know we've had discussions if Steve Curve
overrated or this or that.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Because of the roster. But this is what good coaching is.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
You know, he's playing ten to twelve guys and he's
working with what he has, and it just goes to
show you when you have a team that believe in you.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
And respect you, they're gonna work hard for you.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
So I agree with you the Golden State Warriors did
not see them being as good, even though it was early.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Listen, I also said the same thing.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
I think Steph Curry needs to leave Golden State, So
right now, did wrong about that?

Speaker 4 (22:09):
I definitely Golden State Warriors is a shock.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
But you said the Phoenix Sons, they're kind of tricky, man.
You know, they've been missing the point guard. They got
the young man Johnson over there now, who's legit. I
really like him even to back up over there in Memphis,
which I thought he should have been starting. They should
have slip John Morant to the two to try to
turn them into a Minnie Allen Nivas And if you

(22:33):
want my opinion, but the Phoenix Sons until listen Gerald,
until you know they get out that first round, I'm
not believing they hype they have the roster to have
the record that they have. They have Kevin Durant, Bradley Building,
Devin Book on the same team. So for me, I'm
not surprised with the record. I will be surprised though,

(22:55):
if they get bumped in the first round. Again, there's
no excuse.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Now you have a point guard, you have a good coach,
get the job done.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
So I'm not surprised with them, but definitely surprised by
the Golden State Warriors.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
When you look at the Denver Nuggets, you know, yeah,
they sait a game over five hundred. You still look
at a guy like Jokic, he's you know again, he's Jokic.
I just look at this team and I say to myself,
and I said this when the season started. Before the
season started, I wasn't sure if the window of opportunity
had closed.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
For them because a couple of years back.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yeah, they went from being the hunters to the hunted
and then how Minnesota, which was built to defeat them,
man handle them last year. I just said, yeah, this
team is probably run its course, and it just seems
like they're kind of in a sense in that middle
of the pack in the Western Conference. When you look
at this team, do you think the window of opportunity

(23:53):
for them to win a championship is coming gone?

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Yes, I think it's been coming going in. I had
a all I said something that everybody flame me for it.
But now they're starting to realize what I was saying.
The Denver Nuggets ruined the jokers legacy and career. They
had an opportunity to make Joker probably top fifteen, top
ten greatest basketball player of all time. They were supposed

(24:18):
to build around that young man, like what the Chiefs
do with Patrick Mahomes. Joker is literally the last coupe
has been the best player in the NBA. He has
the last three MVPs out of the last four years.
After they won that championship, they get rid of their players.
Then the next season they get rid of their players.

(24:40):
The window was closed. Gerrold, I'm sorry it's shut. It's
shut closed with with with because look at the mergers
of OKC in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
Yeah, so for.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Me, what the reason why the window may be a
tab it open?

Speaker 3 (24:55):
All the Lakers and Clippers, like I said, Clippers with
injury with Kawhi. I don't believe in the Lakers, you
know me, I'm gonna listen. I never believe in the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
But that's a whole nother story. But I just you know,
like I said to me, it depends on matchups. If
if Denver could get in the playoffs and play against
teams like Sacramento or Memphis, teams that they have the
uh that vantage over because they have the best player
on the team, you know, maybe, but if they run

(25:25):
into like an OKC, maybe a Phoenix or Dallas, then troubles.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
I think the window closed, man, And I just think
they ruined. They listened to Joker had an opportunity to
really do something real special. Just imagine the Joker had
three rings, three finals MVPs, and three out of the
last four years MVPs.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
Just imagine. I mean, you know, think about it this way.
I mean, it's not really a destination of free agents.
You know, you get Aaron Gordon.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
I mean, you know it's it's Denver. I say that respectfully,
it's Denver.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
I just I think matchups. You're right, if they match
up against the Lakers, Look, they're gonna beat the Lakers, right,
Lakers don't have anything and really stop the joker. And
it's just it just seems like you know what Minnesota
you mentioned about, Okay, see like OKC is doing.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
This without Isaiah Hartenstein and you talk.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
About a guy that I said that got robbed for
at least an MVP Trophy last year, Shay Gilsis. Alexander
has come back like a he never stopped hooping, and
he has put the league on notice. Has it's just
been a level of consistency. No, he hasn't had the
job of ramp moment and stuff like that. All he

(26:42):
has done is go out there and still be this
consistent basketball player. And it's kind of overlooked just because
the fact it is that he's playing in the West,
yah know, by the way, in Oklahoma City.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Yeah, oh, I totally agree.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
But I think this year people are gonna be put
on the this Okay, he's a dangerous team man.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
And you know what's what's the what's.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
The owners over there, the gms, the guys, Ah, Presty.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Listen, they did it again. They done it again, man.
And remember, if I'm not mistaken, they have the Clippers pick.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Yes, they got they they got like I think it
was something like between seven eight first round draft picks.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Still right, So they're just continuing. And I mean, not
to cut you off.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
You're talking about a guy that I put up there
now and I'm starting to put him in that same
space with the late great Jerry west because to build
a team Duran hardened Westbrook and then all of a
sudden have to re shuffle, and yeah, it took some time,
but then you come back and yeah they acquired j.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Sga via trade.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
But to have the pieces that they brought in ched Holmeren,
the Wings, Jayalen Williams, both of those guys, and just
continuously to add pieces to.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
That, I think it's been phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
And this is a small market franchise that really they're
always going to have to be in the situation maybe
every five to seven and eight years because the salaries
and stuff, they're going to always have to be in
a situation make moves, make adjustments, and they got to
win now knowing that the fact of the matter is
they're gonna have to They can't keep everybody, but that's

(28:28):
why they have those draft picks. I put him somewhere
up in that conversation with the late great Jerry West
in terms of general manager skills.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
Hey man, you hit that right on the nose. Man,
I totally agree. You know, we don't see this happen.
This is like they drive sometin things you just don't
see happen. They were patient with check because you know,
other organizations would have gave up, wouldn't known what to.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Do with them.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Like I said, they know how to, you know, work
through the draft and then they go get Hart and Steed.
You know, they traded for Caruso. Listen, man, SGA this year,
they're gonna be so dangerous in the playoffs, so dangerous.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
So I agree with you. I don't think he's flying
under the radar. It's god like us that.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
No, he flies under the radar with the people that
you know, they look at the entertainment and the hype
that young man is the real deal. And from last
season up until now, he's top two, top three, best
player in the NBA and the way he has those guys,
you know, it's like a family over there, and the
way they believe in him and allow him to be

(29:32):
the leader to be the best player.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Listen, man, that team is gonna be dangerous. And you know,
we just.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Looked at something where the average age for all the
NBA teams, no team average age is thirty years old.
So that's gonna work in their favor. They're not gonna
have to play a team that has veterans or has
that history. So listen, it's stay time right now. It's
stay time right now.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Yeah, before I let you get on that, it's my
last question.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
There are teams out there that perhaps might be overhyped,
right you know, it's like overhyped and stuff. Give me
a team that you have in the Western Conference, or
if you want, I could give you my team and
see if you agree with it. I'm gonna tell you
that I think the Memphis Grizzlies are overhyped. You know,
Jahn Morant is an unbelievable talent, but does he move

(30:25):
the needle to the point that again, you are a
better team. And my biggest question with Jahn Morant and
the Memphis Grizzlies. They remind me so much of that
Lob City, La Clippers teams and stuff like that, where
they were outstanding regular season, but when the game slows
down in the playoffs and you got to execute it
in a half court set, they don't look good. And

(30:46):
when I witnessed a couple of years back with a
young Jah Morant and all that stuff, the patients, the
inability to shoot from the perimeter, it was constantly looking
for the highlight, constantly looking to get out and transition score.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I don't know if they're disciplined enough to be able
to be a team that if you look at them
and say, yeah, they could be very dangerous. Keep in
mind Phoenix. I think that was the year when they
finished too. It was Phoenix, the Phoenix Suns who had
Chris Paul who got hurt right slid down.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
They were able to take advantage of that, and I
think they ended up, if I'm not mistaken, somewhere second round.
Western Conference is somewhere near the Western Conference the Semis.
But I look at Memphis and I'm just saying I
think they're a little overhyped. Joam Moran unbelievable talent, But
does he make you guys better that you could sit
back and say, yeah, they're a threat to get to

(31:40):
the Western Conference Finals. I don't think so at all,
especially with SGA, And I might throw a little Memphis
in there, but I'm definitely going with as far as
overhype Memphis.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Damn man, you hit them off on that, I'm gonna
go to La Lakers m because when the Lain everybody
say they're contenders. You know, they get JJ Reddick. People
you know, say he's the next Phil Jackson. We're not
saying rings wise, but they say the way he could
break down the game and his basketball or LoQ. Then

(32:13):
of course they got Lebron, they got a D. So
for me, I think the La Lakers man is the
biggest pretenders in the West by far, because once again
you have a guy that some people consider the goat.
And when a D is healthy, whether we like or
personally or not, he's probably the best player in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
No, there's no defender.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Better than him, and what he can do offensively is great.
But her now you see, he's hurt. So for me,
I think it's Lakers because every game they win, people
go preserve, but then when they lose, they get all
the excuses in the book.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
So I'm gonna go with the Lakers. But there's also
a sleep team and it's.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
The Phoenix Suns. I think they're very hyped, and you
know that it's excuse. I have the excuse with them too.
You know, guy like Kem Durant met that magnitude, a
guy like Devin Booker. Those guys be getting swept in
the first ronal lose and nobody says anything. So I
think you know it can for me, it's Lakers slash.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
Phoenix Suns most overhyped teams in the West.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
I agree with you that with the Phoenix because I mean,
they're not deep with the bench, and the biggest thing
is is that, yeah, they have three incredible stars and
Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. But I think clearly,
when if they lose one of those guys the injuries
for any point in time and they have to really
go to that bench, that bench is not strong enough

(33:37):
or deep enough simply because you got three MAX players
on that team. I really don't believe in them. They'll score,
but I don't know if they can have an effect
on the defensive side. Give me, and I know I
said the last question, but this is the last one
thirty seconds. Give me a sleeper team in the East,
sleeper team in the West.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Sleeper team in the East. I'm gonna go Chicago Bulls.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
H I know Lonzo Ball is hurt, but a true
sleeper I'm gonna go Chicago Bulls.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Sleeper team in the West, I'm gonna go Houston Rockets.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
M m mmm mmmmmm.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
I'm gonna say I'm gonna go with you in regards
to uh, you know, I don't know. I mean Cleveland.
I don't think everybody expected Cleveland bell as good as
they are right now.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
But you know what, I don't have.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
To jump on maybe that Chicago Bulls simply because again,
I don't think Indiana is.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Gonna be able to repeat what they did last year.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
I think they caught a lot of teams off guard,
and clearly you know they're struggling right now.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
I definitely agree with you when it comes to the
Houston Rockets.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Keep in mind, this was a team that got hot
late in the season and put a lot of pressure
on the Golden State Warriors. Yeah, really tunt them down
and almost caught them to get into playing tournament. I
don't know, maybe you could say a little the Golden
State Wars just because of the start they got off.
But I just like the fact is that you have
Emmy U Juggles has a strong presence, especially for some

(35:06):
guys to commit to that defensive side of us. And
outside of Jalen Green, you got our friend Sam Gong
who has been on believable and wow it remains, but
listen to it.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
I really really appreciate you, brother, all the best.
