Speaker 1 (00:01):
Now to the part that I want to talk about too.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Yeah, you was like, damn, I got I want my survival.
Shoot will survive.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
When you look into my house, you understand what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Let me say you do you slowly?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yet it may sound scanless.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I don't think that you can handle this. All right,
let's move over to survivor. Last week, there was some
chaos on the holidays and Black Friday and then kind
of smooth sailing or Sunday. But let's talk about the
most selected winners most selected losers. So the most selected
winner last week, without a doubt, was the Los Angeles Chargers,
(00:41):
and the league I was in, it was fifty two
percent owned. It's just crazy. I was very much a
supporter of the Chargers, but I knew it was that
high highly owned. I would have went somewhere else and
just hoped that the Chargers lost, but they pulled it
out pretty easily. Ten point eight percent was on the
Jacksonville Jaguars and day won, and not nine point nine percent.
(01:01):
We're on the Miami Dolphins last week. Now, as far
as the most selected losses, the top spot actually goes
to the LA Rams, who were five point nine percent owned.
I think they played on Sunday the Eagles loss also
five point nine percent, slightly less people. That was on Thanksgiving,
and then in Black Friday caught one point three percent
(01:23):
with the Baltimore Ravens. Considering that we still have some
weeks left and most teams have most people have used
all the favorites, I think there is still more cards
to be had, maybe this week. All right, let's move
on from the past into the present and the future.
Week fourteen. First off buys for the week. Carolina Panthers,
(01:47):
New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco forty nine
ers are all not playing this week. This is the
last week for buys. Thank goodness for your fantasy teams.
All right, Mike Stapp, I'm going to talk about the
biggest spreads here. You could tell me if you like
any of them or if you want to go off
the board. All right. First up, we have the Tampa
(02:08):
Bay Buccaneers. They are hosting the New Orleans Saints. They
are eight and a half point favorites. We have the
Los Angeles Rams on the road eight point favorites against
the Arizona Cardinals. We have the Denver Broncos seven and
a half point favorites on the road against the Las
Vegas Raids. We have the Seattle Seahawks seven point favorites
(02:30):
heading to Atlanta to face the Falcons. We have the
Green Bay Packers six and a half point favorites. They're
hosting the Chicago Bears. And we have the Buffalo Bills
five and a half point favorites they are hosting the
Cincinnati Bagels. Those are the biggest spreads of the week.
Do you want to talk about any of those or
(02:50):
do you want to go off the board?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
All right, I'll give you one chalk and one off
the board. The chalk one I would go with would
be actually the Rams over the Cardinals. I don't see
I don't see the Rams losing back to back games.
I don't think they are going to take Arizona lightly.
(03:13):
Plus Arizona just run out the string, So to me,
that would be of the gumme.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Now to go off the reservation. You know where I'm going.
I'm going to.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Try my luck two times in the row. The Jets
are underdogs against the Miami Dolphins at home. For those
of us that not in the Northeast, it's supposed to
be pretty cold this weekend, supposed to be in the thirties,
wind chills in the twenties. Dolphins, even though they won
(03:47):
last week against the Saints, did not look good at all.
I think the Jets have might found something. They found
some consistency. Do you know they're actually two and two
since the trading deadline. Everybody thought they were gonna go
in the tank. They're actually two sent the trading deadline,
three and two in their last five games, and they
(04:09):
owe Miami some type of payback. So if you didn't
pick the Jets last week, like I told you how
to pick for Survivor, guess what, you have the chance
to do it again this week. So my off the
board pick for Survivor would be the Jets over the Dolphins.
But if you want to play it safe, Rams over
(04:31):
the Cardinals.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Last week, I was touting the Dolphins as a possible
pick this week against the Jets, the Jets did look
pretty strong. The Dolphins got the win, but weren't overly impressive.
I can see where you're going. I think I would
still lean Dolphins, but I'm probably not gonna pick them
for this week. My favorite of the week out of
the favorites is the biggest spread at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
New Orleans plays competitive, but they find ways to lose
(04:55):
Tampa Bay. As long as Big Mayfield is pretty solid,
they find ways to win. So to me, I don't
know if I like the eight and a half points.
I think it might be too much, but I like
the Buccaneers. I think there's two other games that one
a lot of people are going to consider, and then
the second, the one that I like, the one that
I think people going to consider, is Cleveland minus four
(05:20):
at home against Tennessee. I think that this is the
time because so many favorites have been selected, I really
think Cleveland's going to end up highly owned and survivor.
And that is a clear indication for me to stay
clear away from that game. I will not be putting
any of my selections on Cleveland. I do not trust it.
The game that I am looking at, if I really
(05:41):
have to go away from the favorites, actually looking at
an underdog at the moment, that's the Washington Commanders heading
to Minnesota. There's a big questions as far as quarterback there.
Will Mariota start for Washington or will Daniels come back,
and then in Minnesota, is mak Max Brosner going to
start again or is JJ McCarthy coming back. It's kind
(06:03):
of interesting that from the pointment I've heard so far,
they seem excited that JJ McCarthy might come back, which
just shows how bad Max Brosner was last week. McCarthy
has been terrible all season. I think Mariota and the
Commanders could beat the Vikings team, and if Daniels are back,
I definitely think they should win. But either way, that
(06:25):
is a game I'm definitely looking at, and I will
certainly sprinkle it in one place or another. Washington defeating
the Vikings. Mike Steph was the Jets game? You're a
pick of the week or do you have another one?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Oh? No, I have another way.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
It gets the spread just for the fact that both
these teams are so middling and so mediocre and so
mid is that game for AFC North supremacy. The Steelers
visiting the Ravens. The Ravens are favorite by six points.
Now we know that the Steelers dealing with the injury
(07:04):
injured Aaron Rodgers. He has a fractured wrists on his arm,
throwing him. He's been beat up to a pulpe probably
has a nose injury so forth, and he's just looking old.
Did I not tell y'all when it got cold that
the true Aaron Rodgers, the washed up Aaron Rodgers, gonna
reared ugly head?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yes? I did.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Now, with that being said, the Ravens after a one
in five start, they won five in a row. They
lost on Thanksgiving night, the six and six, and they
still even in their five game winning street. I know
I was on their bandwagon a little bit like a
couple of weeks ago. But something ain't right, something right
with Lamar, Something ain't right with that game, I mean
(07:45):
with that team. And at this point in time, the
Baltimore Ravens are not beating anybody five touchdown, so I
would actually go Stealers plus the six and n half
plus they always play nip and tuck games anyway, So
my pick of the week still is plus the six.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Siding with Rogers.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I'm siding with Tomlin, not Rogers, Tomlin the ninety.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
I was one hundred percent sure, Hm.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
I don't think you've been sent sure anything. Hey, paying
