Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, I need my own game song for Survivor. Love
this game, even though sometimes doesn't love me.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
When you look.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Into my eyes, you understand what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Let me say to you slowly, yet it may sound scanless.
I don't think that you can.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Handle this all right, Let's move over to Survivor. Interesting week.
Week fourteen was a major disaster for a lot of people,
including yours truly sort of hello again, it is I
from the future, not exactly. To let you behind the
scenes a little bit. We record early in the week
(00:37):
and release the episode a little bit later. In between
that time, I realized that I made some statistical eras,
so I am correcting them before you even get to
see the mistakes. So to correctly recap Week fourteen, the
biggest losers or loser was clearly Tampa Bay. They lost
(01:03):
to New Orleans and stunned everyone. Up to sixty one
percent were eliminated by Tampa Bay losing to the Saints.
I'm kind of curious if any of the survivors went
back to Tampa Bay this week who got stunned by
the Falcons. Probably not hard to trust that team at
this point. The other team in the week fourteen that
(01:25):
caused major trauma was the Cleveland brown who lost to
the Titans. I told you about thirteen percent lost to them,
but I wasn't exactly having a great week in that.
My deeper dive pick, the Washington Commanders got absolutely smoked
by the Minnesota Vikings. They only cost about half a
(01:46):
percent of my survivor league to be eliminated, and that
might have been me. Overall, over, seventy six percent of
the remainder of the league was gone in one one week,
and now the total in that league is at under
one percent. So if you happen to be surviving for
(02:09):
this long, be very very proud of yourself. You're good
and you also got a little bit lucky. Just have
to survive for more weeks. Let's see if we can
make it happen. Now, let's go back into the past
and look forward to week fifteen. Mike' steph, let's talk
(02:29):
about it. Were's some big spreads here. You tell me
if you like a these spreads or if you're going
off the board.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
You ready gotcha?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
All right? The biggest spread of the week, the Seattle
Seahawks are home and thirteen and a half point favorites
against the Indianapolis Cults. The San Francisco forty nine Ers
or twelve and a half point favorites at home versus
the Tennessee Titans. The Philadelphia Eagles are eleven and a
half point favorites at home versus the last face against Raiders.
(03:01):
The Jacksonville Jaguars are eleven and a half point favorites
against the New York Jets. The Houston Texans nine and
a half point favorites versus the Arizona Cardinals. The Chicago
Bears for seven and a half point favorites over the
Cleveland Browns, and the Dallas Cowboys are six point favorites
(03:22):
over the Minnesota Vikings. Like, Steph, do you like any
of these games or do you want to go off
the board?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Okay, I'm going to do like I've done in the past.
I'm going to give you one chalk and one off
the grid. The chalk one to me is kind of
self explanatory when you said the spread and the two
teams that was going against each other, and that would
be the forty nine ers at home against Tennessee. Tennessee
has played teams tougher than you would think, but at
(03:52):
the same time, they just don't have the fireworks or
the firepower to keep up with forty nine ers. And
we're not talking about spreads, and we're just talking straight
straight up winning loss. And I don't think they're going
into San Francisco and pulling off a great upset. So
forty nine for my chalk pick. Now for my off
the grid pick. I'm gonna stay in the city of
(04:12):
New York, but I'm not going with my New York Jet.
But I'm gonna stay in the state and I'm gonna
go with the Giants as season comes down to the
very for the final few weeks. If you haven't picked
the Giants, I don't know when the next time you're
gonna be able to pick the Giants. They're going against
the Commanders. They're actually favored by two, so it's not
that crazy. It's the opponent that they're going against. Jaden
(04:32):
Daniels re injured his elbow again. They're gonna have to
start market Mariota. Giants are coming off of bye week.
Jackson Dart is healthy and maybe just coming off that
bye week, they just have a chance to regroup playing
against a team that they historically they've had success on.
So my favorite would be San Francisco over the Titans,
(04:56):
and off the Grid Giants over the Commanders.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
I think at the top of the board there is
a question. Look, there's another team without a quarterback at
this point, which is Indianapolis Cults, which is why the
Seahawks are such big favorites. I won't be looking there
because I know for sure I do not have the
Seahawks in most of my surviving survivors, but they're clearly
a strong choice. The three teams that I am looking at,
(05:24):
one is the Jacksonville the Jaguars against your Jets. Again,
the Jets are lacking quarterback. The Jags are on a
hot streak. I don't know about that eleven and a
half points, but I do know that they need to
continue win and they've been playing pretty well. The second
one that I think you also will have issue with
is I am looking at the Philadelphia Eagles. I am
(05:48):
off the bandwagon as far as saying that they are
guaranteed to play better, but I just think that even
if they played as bad as they did this past
week against Chargers, they would still be the Raiders, especially
with Gino. He has a sore shoulder and he's not
even at one hundred percent, So the Raiders will be
compromised and they will never good anyway, And the one
(06:10):
game that I'm really interested in, and I might go
that way. I really like the Bears versus the Browns.
Shador Sanders really represented himself well against the Titans in
a losing AFP, but I think the hype behind him
is getting a little ridiculous here. The Bears coming off
the loss against Green Bay, They've been playing pretty well,
(06:32):
and I think that they're overall just a better team
and they have to win this game. They need this win.
So I think the Bears will come to play and
I think they should beat the Browns pretty handily. All Right,
Mike Steph we talked about Survivor, but do you have
another pick of the week.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yes, Actually, what I would like to do. They had
three games that's going to schedule that we'd be remiss
if we do not mention them at all, because they're
pretty much very pivotal in their showdown games. Game number
one package visiting the Broncos package are favored by two
and a half. Broncos are on a ten game winning streak.
(07:13):
Packers have control of the NFC North. If I had
to pick one, I would say the Broncos string of
luck is due to wear out. But at the same time,
Jordan Love as well as he's been playing, he's been
known to give the ball away and against that ballhawking defense,
I can't For some reason, I think the Broncos are
(07:33):
just on a magical ride. Game Number two would be
the Lions visiting the Rams. The Lions coming off that
big victory last Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys, which effectively
to me, killed the Dallas Cowboys playoff hopes. They're still
fighting for their playoff lives there. They record of eight
and five. The Rams are entrenched as the number one
(07:54):
seed in the NFC, and the Rams are favored by
six You know what. To me, that's a pick them.
So I'm not gonna go again. I'm not gonna go
again the spread, but I think the Rams are gonna
be able to pull it out. And last, but not least,
the a FC East Divisional matchup for supremacy, Buffalo nine
to four, visiting the division leading New England Patriots at
(08:16):
eleven and two. New England is on the streak of
their own. Buffalo is favorbout one. If Buffalo has any chance,
any chance to potentially catch New England and win their
sixth consecutive AFC East Crown, they have to win this game.
Do I think they're gonna win? Eh? Because guess what.
(08:37):
It took all the heroics of Josh Allen to pull
out the victory at home in the snow against Joe Burrow.
So I actually have the Patriots winning this game. So
I guess would be Patriots might plus the one and
those are my games of the week. But listen me,
(08:58):
forgetting is actually a boom to this podcast because I
can focus all my energy on giving y'all the teams
that I would have picked, and tell you the truth,
I've been a credit rule. None in my pocket. I've
been a credit rule. If you don't believe me, check
the shorts, because you best believe. Every week, I'm going
(09:19):
to let y'all know that was right. I said, We're
going to go onward and upward.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Okay, let's try it. This is this is your positive
energy showing its effects. I am just getting angry and angry. No,
I swear it's about to have salty thoughts of lo.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
So what you thought to Mojoe, Go Joe, my God.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
I stand
