Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do what sound like I'm joking?
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Do what sound like I'm playing?
Speaker 1 (00:03):
When you look into my how do you understand what
I'm saying? Let me say you do you slowly?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yet it may sound scanless.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
I don't think that you can handle this. All right,
Let's move on to Saturday. The first game up is
the nine to five Houston Texans. They're head into Kansas
City face the thirteen and one Chiefs. Houston is a
two point favorite and the projected's total is only thirty
nine and a half points. That means Vegas is telling
(00:32):
us that the Texans will score twenty and three quarters
while the Chiefs score eighteen and three quarters. Now, in
case you were wondering why the thirteen and one Chiefs
are underdogs, here I have your answer. Patrick Mahomes injured
his ankle last week. He's considered weeks week, but can't see.
They get a couple of good news as far as injuries.
(00:53):
Kicker Bucker is back in action and Hollywood Brown has
been out all season of a shoulder injury. He's back
to practicing. I think he will be back possibly this week,
most likely next week, but really they just won him
ready for the playoffs. Texans come in pretty healthy. Nothing
(01:14):
really happened last week as far as injuries. Okay, Mike
Steph who you got Houston or Chiefs with or without Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Have a quote from head coach tamiko'rians after the game,
and it goes as follows, We're still taking one week
at a time. Even though we've clinched the AFC South,
it still doesn't change our approach, Mick O'Ryan said Monday.
Jamik O'ryans and CJ. Stroud the quarterback are the only
coach quarterback duo in NFL history to capture division titles
(01:46):
in their first two seasons together. It's also the fourth
time that the Texans have won consecutive division titles, in
the first time since twenty eighteen twenty nineteen. This success
comes after they won a combined eleven games in three
seasons before Ryan's and Stroud arrived. Now, while the Texans
(02:09):
welcomed the challenge of these Super Bowl champions, uh, Kansas
City would probably be without the aforementioned Patrick Mahomes. You know.
Uh he injured his angled in the fourth quarter of
a twenty one to seven victory against against the lowly
Cleveland Browns. This past Sunday now going on the Chiefs,
(02:33):
people feared that Mahomes' injury was worse, but it wasn't
a season ending injury. After it was reported to be
a mild inkle spring now high inkle spring, which didn't
he didn't he battle that like two years ago, and
like even last year he was hobbled, right and like
(02:54):
this is like it I swear I've said, and not
to not to go on the tangent, but I've said
for the last couple of years. Matter of fact, for
years since Mahomes came in, that there's a parallel between
Patrick Mahomes and Steph Curry and the ankles is just
like it's just throwing it right there. Besides the fact
(03:16):
of how they've revolution now the game and the position
and all that facial features, all that hair, all that,
it's just something about those they're just too simpatico. The
two time NFL and the Super Bowl MVP will carry
a week the week destination, meaning that he could miss
this game. But there has been plenty of chatter of
(03:39):
whether or not Mahomes should play at all for the
rest of the season, like because right now Kansas City
is in the middle of a stretch that includes three
games in eleven days in which the quarterback had said
before that he is is not a good feeling. That's
before he got hurt. So imagine him trying to limp
out and play three games in eleven days on the
gift they ankle and then go to the playoffs doesn't
(04:01):
really make sense. Now. Headed into Week sixteen, the Chiefs
the number one seed and have a two game lead
over the Buffalo Bills, and while they could afford missing
Mahomes for one game, Kansas City could also secure the
top seed as quick as possible, so Mahomes can get
that extra rest in the final weeks of the season
because there's such a quick turnaround in week sixteen to seventeen,
(04:25):
Former NFL receiving James Jones said the decision should be
for Mahomes to miss the game against Houston and then
reassessed for the game against against Pittsburgh on Christmas Day.
We'll see you on Christmas and we'll see how you
feel and we'll get you ready for that game after Christmas,
Jones said, I want him to be healthy when the
(04:46):
playoffs come, and they got to be smartman Patrick. So
with all that being said, Houston minus two. I guess
that spread is pretty much requisited of whether or not
Mahomes player, we're gonna go. I'm gonna go with the Mahomes.
He's going to play because it's just that stubborn. So
(05:06):
the Chiefs plus two will be my pick over under.
I will go under because I think Mahomes will play,
but I think they will definitely concentrate on the running
game between Green Hunt and it's they at Pacheco, and
that'll still be enough to beat this shaky Houston Texas team. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
I think that that spread right now is is hedging
on Mahomes probably not playing, but they're not yours, so
they put it there in the middle. I would say
for better. If you have a feeling one way or
the other, whether on the pick or if Mahomes can't
play or not, you might want to decide if you're
(05:44):
going to bet now or later, because that spread is
going to change. If he's definitely in or he's definitely out.
It makes a lot of sense for him not to play.
You're right, he is stubborn. That's the only thing that
makes it a possibility of play. I have to feel
like they're gonna sit them. But you know, I can't
(06:04):
really say for sure, I don't, but I will say this,
I'm taking the Chiefs plus two because even if he
doesn't play, this is two of the most struggless, non looking,
great winning teams I've ever seen in my life. Kansas
City is amazing, they're thirteen to one. And Houston how
(06:26):
they've been playing lately. It's amazing that they're four games
over five hundred themselves. And the Chiefs, you know, they
just don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
How to lose.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
So they'll figure out a way to win this game,
probably by point, probably by the Texans missing the last
minute field goal. As far as the over under, I'm
gonna go under two because again, these winning teams are
on the struggle bus.
Speaker 3 (06:48):

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Game two Saturday afternoon, the tenant four Pittsburgh Steelers are
heading to Baltimore to face the nine to five Ravens.
Projector total is forty four and a half points, while
the Ravens are six point favorites. That means Vegas is
telling us the Pittsburgh will score nineteen in a quarter
while the Ravens score twenty five in a quarter. Part
(08:13):
of the reason the Ravens are such big favorites is
because Pittsburgh has a couple of major injuries. T J
Watt his ankle. He heard his ankle last week. He's
optimistic kill play, but we'll see. But who's less optimistic
is wide receiver George Pickens. He has hamstring injury that's
(08:34):
projected out to be multiple weeks. He already missed one week.
He's listed as questional lord. I would consider him doubtful.
Mike Steph, what do you think about Steelers Ravens?
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Well, I'll start with the Steelers first. Steelers have a
one game lead over the Baltimore Ravens, with the head
to head victory over them as well. In this race
for the division ends playoffs. Steven with a one slim
one game lead over the Ravens, the Steelers don't have
much margin for error. Things don't get much easier with
the Chiefs and the Bengals remaining on their schedule as well.
(09:08):
The Steelers have all the five days recover from the
injuries that you just laid out a win with clinch
the division titles. That should be some type of motivation.
Do you know that twelve times, twelve times the Steelers
have made the playoffs under Mike Thomlin. That ties head
coach Hall of Famer Chuck Nole for the most playoff
(09:31):
appearances in franchise history. Listen, I'm not a Steelers fan
per se, but I'm a fan of Tomlin, so yeah,
salute to that man. Now going on to the Ravens.
The Ravens have dropped eight of their last nine to
these Pittsburgh Steelers. The Baltimore Ravens came out of there
by the fight the face a reeling Giants team, and
as expected, Baltimore got the easy runt. Lamar Jackson will
(09:54):
do for five touchdowns on Sunday, and for the season
he has to follow thirty four touchdown, three interceptions, thirty
five hundred yards passing and a sixty eight percent completion rate.
You add on another seven hundred plus on the ground
and that's simply unbelievable. Lamar may be closing in on
the third MVP, but like I said, Josh Allen is
(10:15):
certainly in the driver's seat. Despite the fact that Jackson
may end up putting up better numbers this season than
he did in either of his first two MVP campaigns.
So that Baltimore plus minus six no no, no, no, Pittsburgh
plus six because I think they could smell that division.
(10:36):
They don't like how they got manhandled in Philly over
the past weekend, over this past weekend, and somehow, some
way they might not win. But I think they're gonna
cover that spread. So I'm gonna go Pittsburgh plus six
that over under. You really think they they cracking a
twenty point barrier, No under.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
I'm lining up with you. Pittsburgh is seven to two
in their last nine, That includes last week when they
lost to Philadelphia twenty seven to thirteen. AJ Brown in particular,
is just a very bad matchup for the Steelers. He's
been consistently a bad matchup for them. The Ravens are,
on the other hand, They've also faced Philly a couple
(11:16):
games ago and they lost twenty four to nineteen. But
really they lost by almost the same exact score because
they scored with seven seconds left garbage TV, a garbage
time touchdown. It's basically the same score. I think that
Pittsburgh just lines up better against the Ravens than they
do against Philadelphia, so I expect this to be a
(11:38):
closer game. Of course, the reason you would think that
maybe it will be is because their primary wide receiver,
George Pickens is out still. I think Tomland and the
steel cobble out away to score some points and their
defense does enough to keep the score under and to
(11:58):
at least be plus six. I actually wouldn't be surprised
if they actually pulled this game out, winning a field
goal match up.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
You know, the Black and Blue Division for a reason,
and I didn't realize until I was doing perfect, is
that Pittsburgh has won eight of the last nine meetings.
So evidently they know how to corral Lamar Jackson. So
it's all the people on the that's not named Lamar
(12:27):
Jackson that will put that have impact on that game.
Then that should be a new drop. Garbage TV. Garbage TV.
But yeah, this garbage, I'm true. It's all love to me. Yeah.
(12:53):
Three three Tracy Tracy. You know what they say about Tracy.
Tracy Burns all right with Selo? You know, you know,
you know Selo right? Oh, Bice, you know? Four five six, Okay,
either hear that? My bad, My bad, my bad. H
