recap, shall we. We absolutelycrushed it on our master's preview on the
show. At least I somehow stillcompletely crap the bed in fantasy though,

(02:16):
Why Fantasy Gods? Why up top? We spoke about John ram As being
one of the obvious top three choicesand he won. Unfortunately for me,
I leaned hard on Rory McElroy andhe did not do quite as well.
Next up, we spoke about JasonDay who fell to thirty eighth, Xander

(02:36):
Shafley who came in the tenth, and Jordan Spie who tied for fourth.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Allthe top players did well. We mentioned
them pick up. But let's talkabout hidden gems a little bit. We
had three of them. Kirk Kitiamawas bad, missing the cut easily.
However, long shots Russell Henley andPatrick Reid both tied Jordan Spie for fourth
place. Top fives from those twomeant big pay days if you followed the

(03:00):
recommendations on the show. I didnot, but you my children should do
as I say and not as Ido, Right Maxie, Yeah, I
guess maybe this guy. This isthe ninety Media Girl presentation. All right.
This week we'll be discussing the RBCHeritage being played at Harbortown Golf Links

(03:23):
in hilton Head, South Carolina.Harbortown was built in nineteen sixty nine by
the legend Pet Guy. The courseis a par seventy one seven one hundred
and ninety one yards. The grassesare Bermuda is grass's word anyway. The
greens are overseated with poa, whilethe rough and fairways are mixed with perennial
rye. The greens are small andfast. There will be a lot of

(03:45):
around the green action here. Accordingto the GCSAA, water is it a
threat in every single hole? Whereis this course in Atlantis? Anyway?
The fairways are thin and tree line. Those fairways forced most golfers to use
strategy off the team instead of brutestrength. Not surprisingly, this brings the

(04:08):
short hitters back into play. Oneother major component to keep in mind is
the strength of field at this eventhas taken a huge step forward in recent
years. For years, this eventhad been one that only a handful of
top players would play. In morerecently years the big boys have come in
and this year the RBC's Heritage isone of the enhanced events. Last year,

(04:31):
Jordan Spiez won this event and aplayoff against Patrick knt Lay at thirteen
under. They were followed by sevengolfers who landed just one stroke off the
pace. Now clearly speech inparently arebig names, but this has been a
place where some longer shots have alsohit the winner circle. In twenty twenty
one, it was Stewart Sink whosmashed the field, winning at nineteen under.

(04:56):
Howard Varner the third and Emeliano Grillofollowed at fifteen under. In twenty
twenty it was big names grabbing thetop spots again. Web Simpson won at
twenty two under. Behind him inthe top ten were the likes of Answer
Burger Hattan, Sergio Garcia, JoaquinNieman, and Bryson Deshambo. In twenty
nineteen, seeteeth hand one at twelveunder. This is an event that either

(05:20):
David or Goliath can win. Asyou might guess from such an eclectic lead
awards. Finding tournaments has proven tobe pretty difficult. I don't feel great
about my list of tournaments, butnevertheless, here they are players who have
done well here have also done wellat match play. The players the Memorial

(05:41):
and the Genesis. I'm also lookingat to a lesser degree tournaments such as
the Honda Pebble Beach and Charles S. Wall. Basically, we're looking at
tournaments with shorter courses and some difficultscoring. We are in a search for
guys who can do well in ashort game and are creative around Greens and
now your featured presentation. I haveto say I think I've mentioned the winner

(06:06):
of the last three tournaments on thistop of the Odds section, but this
week I actually have no clue. The top of the field is thick with
talent, but it's hard to distinguishwhich direction is the best way to go.
Scottie Scheffler, John Rom, XanderShafley, Jordan Speed, They're all
here and have enough ability to crushthe competition, but I'm leaning against all

(06:29):
of them. My top pick isprobably Patrick Cantley. He's been really good
at this event and I expect himto excel. Soun Jam and Max Homer
also top tier choices for me.Justin Rose also has my attention. But
enough of the top of the board. Let's dig deeper and go for some
hidden gems. Up first is theforty four franc player in the world,

(06:50):
thirty three year old English. Englishhas been a mixed bag as far as
cop courses go. In fairness,Harris has been a mixed bag as far
as results. His entire career. It's been years of mediocrity with occasional jumps
towards brilliance. But what leans mein His favor in this particular event is

(07:12):
that even his recent bad results haven'treally been bad. Last week at the
Masters, he was well on hisway to a top twenty, but struggled
in the fourth round and faded toforty third. He also had a horrible
first round at the Players, whichled to a miscut. But overall he
has been very solid as of late, including a twelfth at the Genesis Invitational.

(07:33):
Maybe just as important is his scramblinggame. It has been very solid,
ranking thirty fourth in the PGA onthe season. Now my final two
selections, I am definitely going furtherout on the limb. So let's first
talk about one hundred twenty eighth rankedplayer in the world, twenty six year
old Samuel Stevens. Never heard ofSam Stevens. I can't blame you.

(07:56):
I don't think he was on manyradars until his last two events. The
kid did just enough last year onthe corn Ferry Tour to get his PGA
card this year, but that wasmore due to consistently being good than ever
being great. On the corn FerryTour, he did very little during the
swing season and I personally had writtenhim off. But over his last four

(08:18):
events, he's gone a little bitcrazy fifteenth, miscut, third and second.
Now understand, those fields haven't beennearly as strong as this one,
and those courses do not correlate tothis one at all. Most of his
work has been done off the teeand that's not really what you need here.

(08:39):
So this is more of a curiositypick than anything. Don't bet the
farm on Sam, but mister Stevensis a solid finish away from never being
a two hundred to one shot again, at least for a very long time.
All right. Lastly, a differenttype of experimental pick. This one
qualifies as a catch of falling knifeelection one hundred and fifty eighth ranked player

(09:01):
in the world, thirty four yearold David Lipski. Now, Lipski has
been a hidden gem on this podcastbefore, and I suspect Lipski has been
a hidden gem in plenty of placeshe's played, as he slowly but steadily
climbed from tour the tour and seemsto get better along the way. Earlier
in this year's swing season, helooked like he may be on his way

(09:22):
of conquering the PGA Tour with atenth at the Macoba and a fourth at
the Sony, but since then it'sbeen pretty rough. He's missed four of
his last seven cuts and only topforty in one. However, that one
top forty was in his last eventat the valspar. The truth is Lipsky
probably can't hang with the best ofthe best when it comes to doing things

(09:46):
off the tea, But now aroundthe greens, yeah, he has a
shot to compete there. He rankstwenty sixth in the PGA in that category.
If there's ever a time for misterLipski to show up and prove something
special, this is the event. All right, that's it, That's all
I got. I appreciate you all. I also appreciate my little man for

(10:07):
letting me do this recording during hisspring break, Max, do you have
anything to say? Keep digging untilyou're full of dirt her? Keep digging,

(10:43):
okay, so keep digging, todigging, keep digging, keep digging.
Let's keep taking like a million times, keep digging in and then you'll
find treasure in the Snow's recording youraudio not here, not you're dancing,
I know, keep digging. Why, oh my goodness, you kind of

(11:20):
let a be there. Wait,so what did I say, you're ball
my roll instead a roll away. No, I'm not sure. Maybe I
was just you said bro Bro mabotthink about here, Bra. No,

(11:45):
I thought you messed up because youjust said ball away away, roll away
my bro bro Bro boilpoil. Heyyour balls are cooking oil? Rich say

(12:09):
