Speaker 1 (00:09):
S s S.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Hey everybody, welcome back to hit Point, the j RPG
news show, the anime news show, the niche news show
that broadcasts every single Sunday at seven pm Central a
pm Eastern time. We'll be talking about trailer's preview when
uh trailers and and talking about indies and stuff. Hey,
it's it's fun. I nailed it. I'm just gonna call
(01:39):
it now. Best intro ever. The audio works, I can.
I can make sure of that. I'm I'm definitely we
have audio.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Sweet.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
It's you know, you can't take that sort of thing
for granted when you're away for a month. But anyway, Yeah,
like I was saying, every Sunday at seven pm Central,
eight pm pre uh specific no Eastern time.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Uh and uh yeah, the will be.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
The show where we talk about anything and everything that
catches our interest and or I are there we go.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
That's the thing I missed.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, the most professional stream on all of YouTube.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
So close. You were so close, Oh man, you were.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I appreciate you, you know saying that, Baku, But you know,
I think we both know it's been far too long.
I'm out of practice. But hey, it is good to
see you guys. It's been about a month since our
last episode. Uh, you know, for for various reasons. Baku,
what have you been up to?
Speaker 3 (02:45):
New job? It's been killing me, uh just physically and
mentally because this new job requires me to go into
the office five days. Yeah, it's it's rough, but you know,
it's a it's a it's a rough economy out there.
(03:07):
I'm just happy to to take whatever right now. Yeah,
this one was so later, but hey, right, beats the alternative, right, yeah,
it beats the alternative, that's what it is.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah, well I've been doing the alternative.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
You were going for it. I knew you were going
for it.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
So I'm also you know, I don't know what the
last thing I is that I said on on hit
Point regarding the subject, but uh yeah, I got laid
off on the first of August, and during the last
episode of hit Point. I think they might have been
like I might have known about it, might not have
known about it, but it was definitely like a possible
(03:53):
prospect on the horizon as a result of certain changes
and you know, federal funding to various grants and stuff.
So anyways, you know, if anybody out there needs, you know,
devilishly handsome and infinitely charismatic person. Baku here could really
(04:14):
use a new job.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Why are you selling me? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Ikeyed like ged but but yeah, that's That's what I've
been up to, is just kind of dealing with all
that kind of stuff applying for new jobs. Turns out,
I don't. I mean, I guess you already know this, Baku,
because you've been suffering in silence for a while. But
I refuse, I'm very vocal about my suffering.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
It turns out the job market layoffs highest since COVID.
That's that's pretty interesting. Whole bunch of people got laid
off from Microsoft and other big tech companies flooding the market. Meanwhile, meanwhile,
also flooding the job market are AI job postings and
(05:05):
AI fake applicants applying for those fake job postings. It
is just an absolute cluster.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
It's almost I.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Almost feel lucky that I'm living in such like a
small town because I can like look at the things
that are actually posted as being in my area, and
I'd be like, that's not a real company. I know
that's not real. I know that's not a real company.
I've never heard of any of these people, but it's still.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
A lot to sift through.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
And the and the global market is like ridiculous. And
when I say global, I mean like remote work with
in the United States is just it's so stupid. We
have it's bad, we have done the worst. When we've
done the worst, we've somehow found a way to make
applying for jobs even worse through the power of AI. Yes,
(05:57):
gotta love it, But enough complaining.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
You know, like, I don't know you've run into one
of these yet, and I hope, I hope and pray
that you don't. Right, But there are these like AI recruiters.
Oh my god. You just when you thought, you know,
AI sipping through your resume like an idiot isn't bad enough.
Now there's AI recruiters.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
When you say AI recruiters, are you talking about like
real jobs using recruiters that are AI?
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Or like what what? What? What do you mean here?
So when you go for a tech job, like I
can't say this for like a lot of other things,
but like you, we're in a tech industry, so let's
talk about tech jobs, right. Yeah, Typically what they would
do is they would have a recruiter reach out to you,
(06:49):
right and do kind of like a first past interview. Yeah,
just to make sure that you are a person who
sounds about saying uh, you know, go through your resume,
just cover some basic details. Get you to confirm whether
or not like you're you assaisten your work eligibility, do
you need like visa blah blah blah those days. Yeah,
(07:09):
that's the recruiter that makes like the first round call.
If it works out and your resume gets sent to
like the hiring manager and they pick a couple, you
get picked, and then the recruiter will call you back
to be like, hey, uh, we want to set up
an interview with you at some time. So that's like
the regular interview process. They have effectively replaced that recruiter
(07:37):
with AI. So now I can AI calling me like, Hi,
my name is Jamie. I have helped thousands of people
like you to get a new career.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
So you're saying that not only do we have to
deal with fake jobs posted by AI, fake job applicants
created by AI, we now also have legitimate companies using
AI too, just make.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Oh my gosh past. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
So so here's what I think I'm gonna have to
do Legitimately, I think what I'm gonna have to do
is just print out a resume at like I don't know,
some kind of Kinko's or something like like a schlup
and just like walk into a place and say, hello,
(08:32):
I am one fully organic, homegrown human being with with
job applicant uh one job please, I can do of
a firm handshake, you know.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Like and I'm not from North Korea because I'm here,
so you know that I'm a US citizen. And I
feel like I'm.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Gonna have to I'm really we we. AI has effectively
sent us back into the Stone Age of like job applications,
and it's just gonna be terrible.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
I hate everything. But what it's gonna make me do
need to talk speak to, which is just saying, oh,
so a legitimate company is using AI recruiters the answers
I don't know, because it could just be like an
AI company trying to train their model and just sending
(09:28):
these things out to job applicants with fake jobs just
to get a data point from you.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
So what I'll need to do when you talk to
what I'll need to do is make my own fake
AI applicant persona. Then let's call it some sort of
agent to field these calls from the AIS. We'll just
have ais talk to each other.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Yeah, fight AI with AI. Oh this is.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
The it's it's like terminator but stupid.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Oh they thought, yea, I was going to be super
cool with like robots and stuff.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
It's just death by bureaucracy. Just death by bureaucracy. Oh
my gosh.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Yeah, here we go.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I can't wait anyways. Uh, to make the best of
a bad situation, I am going full time on YouTube
while this is happening. I'm not yet full time on
YouTube because I think being full time on YouTube by
definition means that I'm not currently available to work during
(10:43):
the week, which I totally am for the record for
legal purposes, but but for real, you know, I'm collecting
unemployment for the time being to help keep me afloat
as I look for actual jobs in my area. But
what the job market as it is, I'm like every
moment that I'm not applaying for jobs straight into YouTube.
(11:05):
And it's been pretty good, I think so far, and
hopefully hopefully things are gonna go well because my thoughts
are you know, I'm about, let's say, on the week
by week basis, over the last couple of weeks, I'm
about a quarter of the way to where I would
(11:25):
need to be to really sustain this full time. Once
I take into account things like taxes and stuff, I
should be able to float for a while until I
get a job, like maybe maybe a year, hopefully hopefully more,
because I feel like the closer I get to that goal,
the longer their runway extends. Right, So we'll just have
(11:46):
to see how things go. But if I end up
do getting a job, you know, then then I'll probably
do that instead. So yeah, yeah, well we'll just have
to see what the future lies. Man, We'll see what
the future lies.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Yeah, so you know, it's it's a brave new world
out there, so I hope that in the meantime I
can make the best of it. I've been putting bunches
of videos uh lately, one of which kind of took
off talking about the problems of game key cards. That
one and that in a top ten video that I
recently put out also did pretty well. Yeah, so I'll
(12:25):
probably make more top tens, you know, in the near future.
That was a you know, cozy RPGs, Top ten cozy RPGs.
But but unless Nintendo really starts messing up, I'm gonna
run out of Nintendo bad topics. I don't know. Then again,
they've got a few other problematic things they've been doing lately.
(12:46):
But maybe we don't, you know what, Maybe we'll talk
about that here later on.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
I don't know. I haven't looked at the topics yet,
not all of them. Well, I haven't run into any
of those things. But if you want to bring it
up towards like industry news, we can certainly have some
discussions there.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yeah, hit Point's suddenly going to be a new Nintendo
switch to podcast. By the way, guys, I hope you're
cool with this. This is super dary going to a
full time on YouTube. Gotta get those those consistent views,
and just can't.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
I can't. I mean to get a switch to so
I can bash it along with you.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I don't have a switch to. You don't even need
to buy one man to be hated. No, the problem
is I do want one. If I didn't want one,
I wouldn't care. It's just, you know, I want them
with like physical games, and I don't think what we're
getting right now qualifies for that. And I feel like
(13:44):
the situation is such that like they are, they're doing
the cheaper option in order to like save ten bucks
per cartridge, but they are not passing those savings along
to the customer because they know that they can get
away with it.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Anyways. That's that's I've seriously, I've talked about this enough.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Because there was a thirty minute cut of that video
that was the original script that I cut down to fifteen.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Including including just I fast forward and through apart just
so I could do a TLDR.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
So wow.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
So yeah, I've i got a lot to talk about,
but I'm not gonna rehash that.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Go watch my video. It could it could use more views,
but well we can. We can discuss later and also
point people to watch the video if they haven't already.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Yeah, that's that's the welcome part. I think I think
we're past the intro. You want to actually talk about
some some news, Go ahead, so give them the bad news,
all right, Oh bump bump.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Bum bum bom.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Okay, so you know, following up the bad news with
some bad news just for variety. Publisher Revent Games announced
that the Western release of East Versus Trails in the
Sky alternative saga will be delayed from the original summer
(15:20):
window by a few months. Oh my gosh, buddy, I
should show you something else because on the topic of this. Sorry,
I know this is off topic, but it actually it
actually does have I think a little something to do
with what I was just talking about with gamekey cards.
I'll bring it up on the next topic. But anyways,
(15:42):
I'll show you guys here.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
In a moment.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
But anyways, while our they said here, this is this
is the really text quote here. While original target was
a summer release date, after careful considerations, we have decided
to relate delay the game by a few months. This
will give us the time needed to ensure that every
aspect of the game, from the gameplay to the presentation,
(16:06):
meets the quality that we strive for and that the
fans deserve.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
If they give us those like game key cards.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Well, you know what, on that subject, I think that
this is probably going to give people some pause. Let
me pull this up. I I saw a screenshot of
a tweet from Stealth. It's it's kind of.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Here.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
It's it's a little bit.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Copy the copy the link, yeah, copy the link here.
Let's let's pull this up because I think that this
is uh especially relevant. Let's see if I go here
and then do ah, where's my Derek screen share?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Okay, here share? Here we go there.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
That didn't work. No, don't look at my stuff. That's
not what I wanted to happen at all. Okay, let's
try that again.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Uh okayo oh mystairic screen share. I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
It's because of all my recordings and stuff. Yeah, it's
because of all my recordings I've been doing lately. Okay, okay,
Uh there there, this is gonna work. So here's from
Stealth forty K. He says NIS America misread their audience's
tolerance for game key cards trails beyond the Horizon collector's
edition amount remaining switch seventy five percent, switch to one
(17:36):
hundred percent, PS four sold out, PS five sold out.
This guy a complete collector's edition amount remaining switch to
one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
You see this.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
I don't know where he got those numbers. I don't
know where he got those numbers. So take that with
the grain of salt that it needs. But uh, on
the subject of Nintendo switch too, and game key cards
and an I A and and how you know how
(18:09):
it's affecting the sales of the Trails series that ought
to give some pretty strong food for thought, I do believe.
So yeah, wow, First of all, regarding that, can I
just finally say, good job gamers, like Holy Shaky's.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Stake it to demand, at least take it to demand.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Yeah yeah, so, you know, just just throwing that out there,
that I gotta say, seems to me like a pretty
pretty unanimous front so far, at least in our niche
market that we are in. We demand physical copies.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Of games, actual physical copy. Oh.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
I'm not even going to qualify that statement because I
don't think inky cards like they are a cartridge.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
But it's a digital game. But without the.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
You tried, you almost got me to go off on
a tangent, We're not gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Give the people what they want, I don't.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
I think they're probably tired of me hashing it out.
But I mean I'll make a follow up. But anyways,
for real, though, like so often we hear oh from
from gamers because gamers aren't a monoth But but here's
the thing, Like gamers are all, oh, I'm not gonna
buy a switch to at that price with you know,
Nintendo's so going down, Oh, I'm not gonna buy Hogwarts
(19:46):
Legacy because you know of the you know, alphabet involved
and stuff. So there's there's stuff like that that's just
like guys, and then they say it, but then unprecedented
switch sales, unprecedented Hogwarts Legacy, uh, you know, impressive sales
(20:07):
like yeah, people will will like say stuff like that
so often, but as soon as they're done grand standing,
they they get in line, you know, to buy their
own copy. That's that's just what I've witnessed. But man,
this time, this time, it looks like we can all
(20:30):
finally agree that a game that you have to download
if you have the cartridge is just not what the
people want. And I'm I'm glad. I'm so glad. Uh
And I think this is gonna send huge, huge signals
to uh, if nothing else niche publishers. And that's those
(20:52):
are honestly, those are the ones I care about. Uh that, Yeah,
we're not gonna put up with this stuff. Uh, so,
great job, everybody, You're surpassing expectations. Maybe it's just that
niche gamers actually have have, you know, principles, and they
stand to them. Maybe I don't know, I can't. I
(21:13):
can't qualify that, but i'd like to think, so y'all,
y'all RPG players, you're all right.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
In my book. Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Anyways, those are the delays. So yeah, let's let's switch
over to talking about some of the new stuff. Uh
the dates two past releases.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Right, some git news brought to you by Baku.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
If you give me a horror game to talk about, man,
I'm just gonna.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Be so not surprised. Prepare for horror game later. Uh.
So we've got We do have an update for a
game called Promise Mascot Agency and a video. Yes, love
love this game. I haven't played a yet. I watched
people play. It's so so much fun and and I
(22:04):
love games that emphasize on the fun. The open world
mascot management crime drama game a mouthful. Promise Mascot Agency
has released the Prepared to Grind update that adds a
new UH to the truck that lets them grind on
(22:27):
rails and okay, and many more. We do have a
trailer to show you what that looks like. Let's take
a look.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
They do you at least get consent from the train tracks?
Speaker 3 (22:40):
First? It was a different error, all right, Okay, okay, here,
let's let's pull this up theater mode.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Okay, hang on, hang on, I gotta refresh my page, refresh, refresh.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Yeah, here we go up you know mac somebody, Oh jeezus,
you know yep, look at that.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
I think we have no game audio or or trailer
audio right now?
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Really? Oh?
Speaker 2 (23:18):
I mean you can hear it because you're playing it
on your computer. Oh, I'll need to fix.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
That here in a moment.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
While while you while Baku takes the wheel, I will
work on that.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Yeah. So, uh, as I mentioned before, this is a
game that I think it's really cool. Uh it is.
Oh my god, look at all these uh look at
all these collaborations that they're going to have with all
these other indie games. It's super cool. Uh. Basically, they
have turned this into a weird, just a radio kind
(23:53):
of situation. What is this game about? Listen? Just just
there we go export. This game is all kinds of wild.
Can people hear it? Now? Is there trailer audio? Now?
Speaker 2 (24:08):
I think that they should have it? Yeah, I think
so double check?
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Should we retry? Yep? We have it?
Speaker 2 (24:14):
It's good, but yeah, maybe we want might want to
replay it with the game audio just in case. Yeah,
because this is actually a pretty cool sounding trailer background
track there. Yeah, so the game is about like Yakuza
and also mascot and also.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Fighting the town's mayor. So is this game actually already out?
It's been out, it's been out, it's been out, okay,
And I would have played it if a certain obscure
Claire Expedition didn't come out at the same time, and
so I expeditioned instead of this, which I don't regret,
(25:01):
but at the same time, part of me really do
want to play that soon because man, the game looks Yeah,
I've seen people play it. It looks like a lot
of fun. Man, it is right up my alley with
the wonkiness. So this update is free with the game,
(25:22):
which is very nice. There's a whole bunch of things
that you know, this is this laundry list of things
that they have added in here, so much so that
they have to come up a new trailer for this update.
So the game is already out, the trailer story out.
So if you already have the game, enjoy, And if
you don't have the game, it is available on Steam,
so check that out. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Well, I will say also since you brought up a
certain obscure Claire the thirty third expedition. That's also something
else that has recently changed. Oh, you know, in addition
to throw myself into YouTube, I've also been playing games
over on Twitch again and you heard that right, games
(26:06):
multiple Yes, I've been making my way through three right now.
On Tuesdays it's been metaphor Refantasio, finally finally getting through
a little bit of that. On Thursdays we've dedicated to
throwback Thursdays, it's just going to be retro RPGs. And
right now we're doing Dragon Quest six on the Super
Famicom and then Fridays Claire Obscurity Expedition thirty three. I
(26:32):
am about fifteen hours into it, I think, more or less.
It's a little tough playing through the obs preview because
of the latency, but it's been a lot of fun
and I'm actually getting better at because my PlayStation five
is in the basement. Buddy, how yeah, that's that's gonna
(26:55):
be you know, you know, it's my it's my cross
to bear, but hey, it's the price I pay for
not living in a sauna during the process, because yeah,
it's it's nice, but Anyways. Yeah, I've been streaming, and
you guys might want to check me out over on Twitch.
There'll be links in the video description if you're into
(27:15):
that sort of thing. Heck, yeah, and I haven't been streaming,
that's not true. I'm judging you for that one, baka,
because you've been playing.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Through like one day last week and I saw I
saw you twice.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
I think playing yuku's a judgment.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
No, I'm pretty sure it was this one stream last week. Yeah.
The new job's been kicking my butt and they demand
I go into the office five days a week, and
my schedule is kind of crazy right now because.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
How much how much time is that to get there
and then back?
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Well, I have to get into the office by eight
thirty for the first call. Sure, I don't just step
in at eight thirty. It's going to beat you. Gotta
be there early. Sure, and it takes like almost an
hour and a half to get in.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
An hour ninety minutes to get in yeah, from your.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
House like to some I'm waking up at like maybe
six am. Oh my gosh, you shoul naked.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
And then is it like another hour and a half
to get back then?
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yep? About Yeah, Now, thankfully hours a day. It would
be if it was like full on traffic. But thankfully
they let us out early, providing that there's nothing to
do but with their meetings, and of course you have
to stick around. Yeah, I don't know if they will.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Be For context, I could drive from where I am
to Kansas City to like a real job in an
hour and a half. Maybe not during like commuting traffic,
but like just in normal traffic.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
That's wild because that's a long way away. It's bad.
So I'm not not Yeah, yeah, I'm sure. And I asked,
this is crazy thing is I asked the supervisor. Well,
that's just me. Other people have asked were like, uh so,
(29:09):
was there reason why they need us back five days
a week? And then supervisors shrug. He's like, that's what
they asked for. Wow, is there reason for it? No,
there is a that's and it's not like the supervisor
isn't suffering with us, Like he's in there five days
a week with us, and he's just like it's yeah, we.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Can we can rage about that a little later on.
Let's let's keep this train moving with some new games.
I was gonna say new games coming out this week. Yeah,
games that isn't.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Actually previous, but we have to talk about it because
we so stoked. I'm so excited about this game that
we missed the release, but we have to talk about it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Uh so turn based pixel art RPG artists Impact hand
Drawn Real least on the seventh of August on PC VA,
Steam and guys. Yeah, if you if you don't remember
this game, you will here shortly because we've shown off
the trailer, one of its trailers a few times already. Uh,
(30:15):
and it certainly leaves an impact. If the name doesn't.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
Necessarily let's yeah, it's it's great, let's see. Yeah, here
we go.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
So again, hand drawn manga kind of style visuals outside,
like the profiles and stuff.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
I absolutely adorn this game.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
So I think that so you're like getting a part
time job with like some kind of.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Some kind of devil or something. I I was like
trying to read through some of like the.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Synopsis, so like, what is this about exactly?
Speaker 3 (30:54):
It's like it's some kind of pulse apocalyptic girl.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah, imagine having to imagine having.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
To work for a devil. Wouldn't that be just awful?
Look at that?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Look at that art?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Yeah, artists artis.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Man, it's so impactful, isn't it. Ah, So I think
he's gonna watch this and then oh, I'm.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Sure gonna have a work with us.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Well, every time that I've seen this, it reminds me
of old school like Black and White Gifts that I
used to watch that would just loop it would they
would tell like they'd be like ninety second long gifts
maybe longer of just like like a bunny with like
guns and stuff doing stuff like this and just ah,
this is so cool and it it looks so good.
(31:50):
It's you know, limited palette, but holy cow, does that
ever just does that trailer ever leave an impact that
I'm sorry, this is this is why they wouldn't interview.
I reached out to them and they're like, no, oh, man,
(32:12):
go away. It's they were busy because this was a
big launch for them.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
I told they were actually very cordial. They're for play.
They're like, hey, love to come on, but we're like
stupid busy, And I can totally get it. Uh So
I would actually love to talk to them at some
point later on anyway, just to hear what they have
to say about this game. But uh, it is something
that I am definitely looking forward to play. Uh, and
(32:41):
I hope that you all will be interested in that
title too. And that is again Artists Impact that came
out on the seventh on PC Next. We got a
bunch of new game announcements, a bunch of really cool
games and uh, we should probably take a look at these, mister.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Al Right, all right, new games that were announced new.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
Games, suh. So we have briefly talked about this before
when it was first announced because I have like a
correspondence with actually the developer on this game, Brendan cool
guy from B Training Studio. They have announced the release
date for the prequel of their tactical RPG for Great
(33:26):
Heritage Fee Division, and the prequel the new game is
called Great Heritage Noble Duty. I have a look at
the trailer and it kind of speaks for itself, like
I tell you things, but it's easier if I just
show it to you. Yeah, let's check this out, all right.
The graphics is just vastly improved of the previous game,
(33:49):
not that the previous game is bad, but just like wow,
like yeah, it's it's pretty much bigger budget this time
of what what happened, Well.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
That's what happens when you, you know, release a game
and it sells well, you can use the those funds
to fund the development of your next game.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
The portraits look a lot better.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Oh those are really nice. They are hold on so
like this is sorry when I'm like, oh, yes you can.
You can fund your next game with the money from.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
The first game. That ties into some more of the
cut content from my switch video. Anyways, Yeah, this game.
Look you hear that music.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
Let's do this.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
It's like here for magic. You know, people who enjoyed
I don't think they moved the portraits. They hear they move,
not athatic watch this? Yeah, yeah, if people enjoy my amblo.
(35:07):
Obviously this was a very much a I don't think
they are.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Hiding the uh inspirations and such.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Yeah, and also like probably target audience while they're at it,
like if you like well of course, yeah this one
is want to watch and in fact, like what is it? Uh?
Fada Vision had pretty good reviews from what I remember too,
so definitely a good uh indication that the previous game
(35:38):
I think came out in like twenty nineteen. Maybe Yeah,
it's been a couple of years now and they finally
come up with this new game, and it looks like
a really polished version of like what they had released before.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
So and it sounds like they've you know, incorporated a
lot of updates to the actual gameplay themselves expanded, like
job class trees and stuff. So, you know, a lot
of feedback received and implemented.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Check it out.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
That's on September fifteen. Yeah, right now, it's only on
PCVA Steam.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Though, that's right. You know, I would be on the
switch or something, I mean maybe switch one. People like
to take games on the go still, yeah, and this
could be a fun game to play on the road
trip or something. Hours of tactical RPG fund I don't know.
People play games in a car like stare at a
(36:32):
screen like I would vomit. Oh you you poor poor manual.
I get the I get that kind of car sickness. Yeah,
it means the.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Same way my wife she she has to have a
view out the front of the vehicle or else it's
just you know, game over and just nausea.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
I think there are two kinds of yeah, car sickness, right,
Like there are people who's like inner ear are just
like not balanced, right, And I think, yeah, and that
mind is my eyes are not uh instinct, so my
(37:18):
peripheral vision will see moving things, and then I'm staring
at a static object and that messes with my brain.
Even though I don't actively pay attention to my peripheral vision,
my brain still takes in that information.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
I wonder could you, like, could you get yourself I mean,
this is this is maybe a weird like one of
those yeah, some horse blinders, you know, something like that
that just kind of you know, could you could you
put on a VR headset that would just block out
your environment. I've heard that there are glasses for people
(37:54):
with my kind of motion sickness that yeah, yeah, it's
like visual based like yeah, sickness, not my inner ear, yeah,
kind I wonder if that would be effective. But also
they have other things like those rather than like a
VR headset. I know that they also have just like
those displays that you can wear on your eyes that
(38:16):
as glasses essentially that just put like a big thing
and if they can block off the surrounding light and
that might be an effective way to like enjoy some
gaming on the go. I have to buy a whole thing,
I know as a based on a maybe that's gotta
be tough.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
I should just pay attention to the view outside the car.
They still be free.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
You could do that, especially since like you have to
actually drive and stuff when you're commuting.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
You're not on a bus. So well, I'm riding the
metro now, which I hate, but I don't have to
drive the entire way, so I'll take I'll take. I'll
take it now. But this next game I think is
something that you will actually be pretty interested in. I
don't know this. This is another one of those tests
now where I'm testing. I look at a game from
(39:08):
a list of games that's been announced, and I picked
one that's interesting. Occasionally i'll find one way I'm just like, oh,
I think Derek would be interested in this, and I
pick it, and then I see if he's actually interested in.
So far, I've been pretty good about it. I think
you might be interested in this. Let's take a look
at this upcoming one. Go aheads, right, yeah, yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
So this one is from Epic Teller's Entertainment. They've announced
a new turn based RPG called Starfinder after Light that
is set in the universe of the tabletop rpg Starfinder.
Never heard of it, but let's check it out and
see what this trailer is all about.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
Let's go. I've been told that Starfinder is basically D
and D in space. Well that's name now now then
you get muscle weight okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
In the galaxy, Oh, Starfinder must be like Pathfinder, a.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Dark power determined to undo space itself. Only a cup
of larger than life heroes can save the days supposed
to be? Yes, isn't it cool?
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (40:25):
Boy? After Okay, uh, you've cut my attention. But yeah, play.
There are screenshots, but like I can post screenshots, so.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Okay, well I should pause that. Maybe I'll be interested,
but it's uh hard, hard to really you know, gauge.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
That just yet. I think you want to see more gameplay.
They again, they have screenshots, but I'm like, why can't
so screenshots not to show your teaser trailers?
Speaker 2 (41:02):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll have to see gameplay to
gauge that.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
It's it's possible turn based RPG with you know, tabletop
RPG mechanics could be pretty cool. Yeah, I mean maybe
maybe mechanics not sure. But the the universe though, is
of the tabletop RPG Starfinder, which anyways, it's coming up
for early access and Steam in twenty six. There is
a Kickstarter campaign that will be launching soon though.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
So well, if you want to open their Steam page,
you can actually see greenshots. Yeah, they have screenshots. I
just didn't have a way too, you know. Yeah, yeah,
let me I'll pull this up here, star it's got
a okay, I got this all right here, let's uh,
(41:53):
let's pull this out.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (41:54):
No, gameplay. The announcement is so new, Like I want
to tell all the game depths out there, like, look,
if you're gonna make a trailer, like, give us a
gameplay trailer like that will excite people more than anything else.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Okay, so here's one of them.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
So that's kind of almost reminds me of like a
Fallout style like isometric, top down perspective kind of thinking. Maybe, well,
what was the other one that was really recent, like
Disco Elysium Maybe. I mean, it's hard to say.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
For sure based off of this.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
The art's kind of neat, definitely, you know, Western style
for sure, as far as the you know, the art
and presentation kind of comic book e you know, but yeah,
it looks neat, man, I really enjoyed it. Yeah, I
don't know, man, it's it's a it's a maybe. I'd
have to see more of it in action to to
(42:49):
really get on board. But it does very much look
like a like a c RPG, and and those typically
kind of fall outside of my my special interests zone,
but you know, maybe, but it's the turn based RPG.
It's turn based rpg, yep, just like yeah, just like Fallout,
the original Fallouts and disco Alsium.
Speaker 3 (43:10):
Did you ever play it either of those?
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (43:12):
Any, okay, and I probably never will.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
I mean, disco Elysium is supposed to be just like
overwhelmingly awesome, but it's also a very specific kind of
kind of thing though, right, So yeah, you know, hard,
hard to get outside of my niche hard to get
outside my lane, but.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Yeah, hard. Yeah, but uh yeah, I figured I figured
you would at least want this on your radar. Yeah,
whenever we get more of that, we'll be sure to show.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Everyone radar signal received.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
Are all right? So yeah, so Early Access twenty twenty
six Kickstarter coming soon. We'll have more information than now.
This next game uh actually has a release date, which
is nice. Uh, you guys know how much I love
release dates because you know, then we know the game
(44:08):
is coming and it's not just like an idea that
someone had that you know, like it's like one step
further than like a Kickstarter campaign. Also, I don't know why,
but my camera is kind of like glitching every like
every now and then. Yeah, streams, it's just kind of
has that weird flash. Yeah I just noticed that too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Sorry, guys, just try not to look too much at
Baku for a while later today I just don't do it.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
Well, we'll fix this, but next dreame anyways.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Yeah, we don't want Bacu flashing the audience.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Oh no, yeah, definitely, you don't want to see me
flashing everyone. Uh. This next game is another Pixel Art
action game action RPG. As a matter of fact, we've
talked about this game before, but now we got a
release date Film Publishers, Ski Games and any Place, and
this action RPG is called Hike Northern Lights. Uh followed.
(45:07):
The Hike is actually the protagonist name a girl who
will follow her mother's footsteps to journey around a world
devastated by the war between humans and witches, which her
mother is one of said witches who led to the
downfall of like the destruction of the world according to
(45:30):
the lore. So let's take a look at this, uh,
deceptively wholesome looking game. Jah, and I don't trust you. Yeah, yeah,
all right, let's pull this up.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
I think that just based on like the first frame
of the of the trailer though, it looks beautiful. All right,
let's check it out.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
It looks gorgeous again.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
There go, yeah, yeah, no, there we go, not me, sorry, yeah, gorgeous. Yeah,
stop looking at back with everybody.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
There we go, look at that the beautiful, beautiful people art.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
It kind of reminds me of the Fallout universe with
like an eyebot there, but it's not an iBOT, kind
of like Fallout New Vegas, but with like little girls.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Yeah, so wholesome looking.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yep, that's gonna go very poorly.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
I just don't trust Oh no, trust, I don't trust.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
This certainly, not those that's definitely gonna be full of blood,
gore and guts and vile, you know it.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
That's just how it happens, you know the you ever
you ever seenashi when they cry, that's just how.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
It goes, you know. Oh, look at this adorable character.
Oh no, what do they do that adorable character. That's
just how it got one. There's just one anime that
really well, okay, that's Motoka. Motoka is like something that's
like in that similar way where it's like it's a
magical girl series. Isn't it a little companion? And it's
(46:59):
like like oh yeah, third episode, someone gets like decapitated,
and then it just like downhill from there and it's
dark and everything. There's this other anime I can never
remember the name. I think it's called It's not School Days,
it's something else, but like in school Days. Oh, different
kind of bad?
Speaker 2 (47:19):
Was it the one where they're going down the hole?
Speaker 3 (47:21):
Uh? Oh god?
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Was that the one the made an abyss?
Speaker 3 (47:26):
No? No, well made abyss is a different kind of horrid.
Uh No, this one is okay. A bunch of girls
and their school advisor. Uh. And they have this little
after school club when they play games and stuff. And
then gradually, as the series progressed, uh, you realize that
it's all of this is just one girl's delusion. Actually
(47:51):
the world has fallen into like a zombie apocalypse and
they all locked into the school.
Speaker 1 (47:57):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
And one of the friends is been like long been
dead and the school advisor is also dead and they're
actually constantly fighting zombies.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
I kind of like, I kind of love this already.
I hope you can remember the name of it.
Speaker 3 (48:12):
Oh freaking dark. But the first couple of episodes, the
viewers are just none the wiser's Oh, it's just cute
anime with the little girls and they're playing games and
they're having cute girls doing cute things time after school.
And then it was like, I think it's like fourth
fifth episode, it's like things are like a little weird, Like.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
All right, well, chat if you know what we're talking about,
if you can, if you can help Bako out, let us.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Know, just search online, just be like, you know, girls
after school zombie Like I'm sure find it.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Yeah, all right, let's move on to this next one
because I'm pretty stoked for it.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Oh yeah, oh You're gonna love this one. Oh I
know about it very right. Did I say what days
that that that game was coming out? No? Maybe not
Northern Yeah, Go for Hike is coming out September eighteenth,
releasing on PS five switch NPC. Is actually another game
that's like kind of right in my alley. Yeah, I do,
(49:10):
I do want to see some weird dark twysts.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
It's such a busy time of year though, for indies
and for just niche releases in general. This is this
is going to be a crazy TGS.
Speaker 3 (49:24):
This slowly creeping dude uglyhead into our lives.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
Sure, sure, I hear you. But also games Comma is
just around the corner. Mm hmm, so like we have
that too for you know, indies and stuff. Anyways, regardless, irregardless,
Let's move on to Never Wigh from Cold Blood Ink
and Pixel Artist, the Pixel Artist behind Celeste. Wow, here's
(49:50):
a new game that is a blend of horror life
simme action RPG called never Way. You play us Fiona,
who quits her job, starts over on the farm and
becomes the immortal Harold of a dead god.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
I love the premise.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
This is what I thought, Okay, when I said that
artist Impact was like getting a day job with like
a devil or something. I think I was maybe thinking
of this one. Apologies apologies to artists because they were
both gorgeous uh.
Speaker 3 (50:18):
And getting ear full from the artist impact design. Yea, yeah,
let's skip ahead a little yep, Okay, cool, cool.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
Yep, here we go.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Who hopes to survive this. Yeah, so it's got that
kind of old PC.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Aesthetic, like like the size of the pixelar is like
really really small composed. The color palette reminds me a
bit of.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
You, I mean, Celeste artists really cooked here. Yeah, look
at that? Would you play this? And I was horror
but oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
I think the fact that you have a sword and
you can like fight back against things, I think that
makes it fall in my my alley. That's that's that's
my wheelhouse, a Zelda like with like horror themes. Sure
I can do that abilities.
Speaker 3 (51:20):
The color definitely has like the game boy uhi this
yeah boy color not game boy bands game Boy color. Yeah,
that's what I was gonna say.
Speaker 2 (51:29):
Like the the limited palette, but also the higher pixel
density though makes me feel like old school PC, uh
but not quite almost CGA like but but maybe not
like a like a monochrome display of of you know,
days gone past. Uh But anyways yeah never wagh oh yes, way, yes,
(51:52):
way coming out sometime in twenty twenty six for PC
and uh switch and PCV is deem that is, you know,
and I think it's also into Steam switched to.
Speaker 3 (52:05):
But I don't care about that one right now because
we haven't I haven't seen it yet, but yeah, that's
a high chance if it coming out, don't switch as
a high chance will come on switch to. It's just
like not necessarily official, but you can expect it. I
think also on the switch to you could just play
switch games on it too, so you could.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
Yes, maybe here's the here's the thing, though, you're playing
roulette with games that haven't been released, because I've we
have a contact in mutual mutual contact of ours who
did confirm with me the contents of a leak as
it relates to the kinds of studios that are getting
dev kits as of right now. They have confirmed to
(52:45):
me that in order to get a switch to dev kit,
in order to verify that your switch one game will
function properly, you either need to have like a very
popular high fidelity indie RPG or your I'm sorry sorry,
high fidelity title in general, or otherwise you need to
(53:11):
have a indie that explicitly would make use of a
of a Nintendo Switch exclusive switch to exclusive functionality. Right now,
they are prioritizing apparently mouse controls specifically, and if you
don't fall into those two categories, you ain't getting one.
(53:35):
So it's very likely that these things will work on
switch to, but they can't know for sure. And Nintendo's
be a Nintendo by prioritizing.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Gimmicks rather than Yeah, it's so frustrating it no one cares.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
It's frustrating. Most likely most things are gonna work. Fine, yeah,
but damn it, man, doesn't it sunk anyways? Recently not
interested in the switch too. I mean, I'm sure it'll eventually.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
It'll probably still work.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
I want it for the switch pro functionality, to be honest.
If that's all it did, like get rid of the
flash you know, the.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
New SD card standard entirely, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Just just you know, give me a give me the
the switch one with the upgraded processor, and that's it.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
And let's call it a day. Yeah, pretty much. I
just want a good hen hell like that can do
what the switch did. But but you know, what are
we getting into all this?
Speaker 2 (54:48):
That context, though, that was provided by our our mutual contact,
really explains why it is that that Campfire sim game
was included in that Nintendo Partner director. Yeah, because that
was like because that looked like I mean, I thought
(55:08):
it looked cozy y, but I thought like, when I
saw this, what is this doing in a Nintendo Direct?
And now and now I know that you can, you know,
show off the camera functionality, the thing that felt the
most jarring and out of place during that entire demo.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
I'm like, Ah, that's that's.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
That's why they featured that, that's the click and yeah, anyway, anyway,
how about we move on to this next one because
I'm stoked about this one.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
Are you are you familiar with this one? Yeah, of course,
we talked about this before. Well, uh, let's let's let's
take a step back, because you know, Derek, it wasn't
even too long ago that on the show we were saying, well,
I'll come there aren't like horror games that are like RPGs,
(56:03):
and and we have since covered a couple of RPGs
that are clearly horror based like that one was never
of the Something God.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
Like oh uh yes, something of the Deaf God or
something that.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Yes, something to And I'm so sorry, developer, I just
I'm bad with names. Earless remember the Earless go something
to that effect? Yes, and the Earless More games that
are not just psychological horror, but like, you know, more
horror theme. We just talked about one that's an action
RPG that is horror based, and now we're going to
(56:43):
talk about a tactical RPG that is horror kind of yah.
Ask yeah, Asterisk. We're all scared of different things.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
You're like, if you're scared, No, no, no, I mean
asterisk on the tactical it's.
Speaker 3 (56:59):
Asterisk Astrosk tactical.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
It's a little kind of semi semi tactical tactical.
Speaker 3 (57:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
And I can explain more as we can do this
a little bit more, because let's do it. I got
I got a little additional background.
Speaker 3 (57:12):
For you this video. Yeah, okay, here we go. So
this is definitely, uh from what I've been told anyways,
is something that if you had like the older style persona, Yes,
interested in it, that's it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:31):
So each encounter takes place on a tactical grid, but
it's not like a large scale tactics RPG. So it's
a lot more like Persona to Eternal Punishment Persona two
Innocent Sin. It's looking a lot more like that than uh,
(57:53):
you know then like you know, uh fire emblem.
Speaker 3 (57:58):
Or something like that, and and like the similarity doesn't
really stuck there either, Like you can like date people,
you can you have friendship bonding.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
As I understand it, the concept in this game was
what if instead of Persona three, like changing the direction
of Persona and its character development and uh and like
visuals and and things, what if we just kept on
evolving the Persona two's forward into interesting And I don't
(58:33):
know if there's any actual like original Persona staff involved
in this one, but uh, yeah, I'm I'm excited and
I'm keeping a close eye on this one, and yeah, yeah,
it's it's nice.
Speaker 3 (58:45):
I'm excited. You know, someone from Necrosoft is going to
watch this and be like, Hi, this is the so
and so from Necrosoft to answer your question like in
the common section.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
Maybe that problem possibly and we will.
Speaker 3 (58:58):
Change any of our coverage if you guys would like
to correct whatever it is that we're saying.
Speaker 2 (59:05):
I'm super I'm often wrong about things.
Speaker 3 (59:08):
Hi, I am Vakrian. I'm also often wrong about person
not quite not quite, definitely not HDTD. That is proprietary.
They have to be fair.
Speaker 2 (59:19):
There's that's right, there's a trademark on that.
Speaker 3 (59:21):
That's a trademark on that. But maybe it's two DHD.
Speaker 2 (59:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
Oh uh yeah, no. We're definitely baiting these developers to
comment in our comment sections and and also to join
us for an interview. Oh say, no, definitely do that.
So what else do you got for us? Oh? Sorry, no,
I I what else you got for us? Oh no,
that's right, what else do I have for you? Sorry?
(59:46):
The colored then show up? Yeah. So this game is
coming out in September third this year, releasing on all
modern platforms except for the Switch to Again, what we
said about the switch, I mean, just because they haven't
explicitly said it doesn't mean that it might not, right. Yeah, well,
if it comes, it comes. If it doesn't, then well
(01:00:07):
we've told you. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
All right, So here's here's the cover image. Guys, Kingdoms
of the Dump. Oh buddy, we are getting closer to
having a firm release date on this turn based indie RPG.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
It's Kingdoms of the Dump. We don't have the exact
date yet.
Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
Oh, I have a window, a very narrow window. Developer
Roach Games have at least nailed down the month, and
they've given us a new trailer to show it off.
By the way, guys, Baki and I just a little discloser.
We've we've had an opportunity to actually play the game,
(01:00:51):
the development build of it, when we were at too
many games last year. Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting
very hands on this game.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
Lists in my head renfree all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
I know, I I almost in the title put like
or did I did I do it? S Tier garbage
Indie R. I was like, I was like, how do
I how do I phrase this in like such a
way because I'm like, how do I make this funny
but also absolutely true? So yeah, let's let's check out
(01:01:25):
the trailer because I want to see.
Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
This game in action. Let's go. Yeah, I'll turn up
the music here.
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Made by like two dudes, too real, real, actual free
range janitors. Yeah, holy organic. This game has been in
development for so long, for so long that, if you
(01:01:57):
remember Daria plays RPGs, she made a video talking about
it like five years ago or something, and yeah, and
ever since then, I've just.
Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Been like, Yes, I need to see this in action.
Ah yeah, look at that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
The pixel art in this game is so pretty for
being garbage. It's it's garbage pixelart S Tier trash, absolute garbage,
and I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
I wouldn't change a thing. Ah, so there is a
great base. One man's garbage, another man's treasure.
Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
That's right, well it's it's I'm sorry that was also
another thumbnail. It's actually two men's garbage. Is the indie
RPG fans treasure garbage Day is coming? Oh I didn't
even see that, but yeah, oh my god, Kingdoms of
the Dump.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Yeah, this November wish listed over on the Steady yet
the airship. It's just like, yep, that's FM Fantasys six
thing right there. It's like, yes, please give me the
give me the F six airship please. November twenty twenty
five could not come any sooner. Right now, it's coming
out on PC VA Steam. I know a lot of
(01:03:14):
people are like, is it going to come to switch eventually?
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
I don't know, Uh, these guys. I mean that's the
thing about indies who are like developing their very first
RPGs and and games and in general, like it takes
a lot of time and money, but also like just
publishing on a console is just another additional cost. It's
going to be a lot easier to fund that process
(01:03:39):
of porting it if people buy it on PC and
if there's not a strong PC support, then well it's
it's going to be hard to justify that. So my recommendation,
support your indies on PC. Uh and if it comes
to switch, if it comes to PS four, support him
(01:04:00):
there too, double dick, go for it, double because because
indies are our treasure, especially especially especially you know, two
men's garbage.
Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
I'm pretty sure that's like part of the theme of
the game too, Like I could have sworn that, like
with with our conversation with them that that.
Speaker 2 (01:04:22):
Oh, I'm sure that they're symbolism involved. There's got it there.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Yeahright, So, speaking of indie developers, uh, let's talk about
this new game from where. Buff Studio, a Thailand based developer,
has just announced a new horror adventure game inspired by
Little Nightmares Bason Thai folklore called uh and I'm gonna
(01:04:49):
butcher this uh coum uh the Wandering Spirit And this
is right up my alley. I'm like, tell me say
less a horror game that's based uh, inspired by Little Nightmares. Okay,
I'm down and a Thai folklore.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
It is it also an rpag or is it just
straight up horror? I guess we'll find out in the trailer.
Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure it's going to be like
an adventure game, Like I don't think there's going to
be like Battle is not going to be like the
main thing. You're probably gonna spend most of the time
running away so close. Well let's check this out there
though close. Yes, oh, this is rightly Alley. I love
the Little Little Nightmares. I hope they do a good
(01:05:46):
job explaining the hole. Yeah. Times. What ends up happening
with these games is there's a lot of things in
a certain culture that is so like and they take
it for granted that you know about it right, and
it won't make it like it won't.
Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
I mean, at best, internationally, we'd be missing a strong
enough emotional connection.
Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
At worst, it just doesn't make sense. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
Yeah, yeah, that's gonna be the trick when you do
something that's based on, like, like you said, the local
cultural stuff, yeah, is that we don't have that context too.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
But but this this cool. I mean I love to learn.
I just hope that they can you know, show Oh yep, no,
I can definitely see the Little Nightmare inspirations all over
the place. Oh boy, it's that therek you love horror games,
(01:06:44):
uh yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Love horror games so much that if you love horror games, everybody,
I will be forced to play one if you subscribe
and we hit a thousand subscribers, just throwing that out there,
that's about how much I love horror games. The horror
game is Silent Hill to remake. Yes, yeah, that's oh buddy,
(01:07:06):
I just uh just cannot cannot just can't wait.
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
See you at a thousand subscribers, everybody, we're getting like
increasingly close every day.
Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
Every day we're getting a little closer, you know, just
fifty five more, which is actually not that many people.
Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
You know, if everybody here subscribed, if you're not already,
then I think we would almost be there.
Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
But yeah, you know what, that's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
We don't have to think about that. We have other
Oh did you did you tell the people.
Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
About the release date? No, this game has no release
date yet. Anyways, I know, I know, I know. It's
those things that I it just annoys me so much, like, oh,
what a beautiful game. When do you plan on releasing it? No? Idea,
dang it. But it is currently being developed for PC
and unspecified consoles. They said, Okay, we don't know which
(01:08:08):
they're still deciding I guess something. Yeah, yeah, switch to
they're still working. Yeah, they're seeing how this GKC thing
works out. Can we put the mouse in this game? Somehow?
Can we put face in there?
Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
Like?
Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
Hmm?
Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
These features just here's here's the feature.
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
You use the camera you pointed out the player, and
then it'll map the player's face onto one of the enemies.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
Yes, that would be horrifying, and that's the point. Ye
what maybe that's actually like a genius idea that you know,
they're actually gonna, you know, do it, maybe because it
is so bad as great?
Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
Yeah, all right, let's do this next one, guys. Cuz
next up, we got.
Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
Wu Chi the Wayfarer.
Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
It's from Nexon Games. It's uh, I'm probably seeing the
success of Kazan announced that they will be releasing another
single player fantasy action game, and this time it's set
in Korea's Jao Sun No No Joe era, called wu
Chi the way Chi.
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Yeah. Yeah, let's check up. This game looks gorgeous by
the way.
Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
And so for context again for people who don't remember, uh,
Nexon is this uh ginormous game company in Japan. I
mean not Japan and Korea. Sorry, that are famous for
making m M RPGs. Okay, yeah, Mabinogio guys. Uh now.
(01:09:49):
They also recently released a game called uh the Verse Perserker,
which is based on their Dungeon Fighter series. Yeah, and
another horror game, Derek, how'd you like them? Apples? I
don't so? Uh yeah? So, I mean it looks cool.
(01:10:11):
Look at that. This game is freaking awesome looking.
Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
And uh yeah, so that bird has a little like
cage helmet thingy.
Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
That's that's so weird and cool. I don't think. I
think they're making a shift into like less invest into
single player games, and I'm off for it because I
love seeing them with the single player games. It's very
polished single player games too. Even if you've never heard
of next On before, you just like what next On?
(01:10:42):
What is that? They've been around for decades? Uh, They're
no stranger to making high quality video games. It's just
that they usually focus on MMO, so you might have
not heard of them. But if they want to spend
a resource in making single player games, they can make
some gorgeous looking games like this one.
Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
See what's also interesting I can identify with this trailer
you know, just laughing as the world around you is
on fire.
Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
I I, oh, gosh, that's my coping mechanimsm too, lady.
That and going to sleep, which apparently she did just
go asleep. I'm trying to hear go relatable, Yeah, super relatable.
Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Uh oh god, yeah, I don't do that. It's not
not yet, not yet, I don't do that. That's that's
a new trick.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
Give you another week, you can learn this. There. I
believe me. Yeah. The other really neat thing I was
gonna say is that, yeah, I don't believe. I mean,
feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, chat, but
I don't believe that there has been uh not only
Triple A looking like you know, budget wise, it looks
(01:11:58):
like Trip A, but any game really that's based on
like Korean like historical like lore or history or you know,
anything of this nature. So this is new and and
and I didn't think about it until I watched this
(01:12:18):
trailer because that's like, look, there has been many Korean developers,
so it's not like they just sprung up like oh hi,
like Korean developers is now a new thing. No, They've
been making games for years and years and years and years,
but I don't remember seeing a game that's completely based
on like Korean history slash folklore kind of thing. Japan,
(01:12:42):
we've seen plenty like Samurai this and you know whatever
historical period.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
That In a little bit, we're starting to see that
happen with China with the non wushoe uh kind of
take shoe varieties.
Speaker 3 (01:12:57):
Yeah, more historical base. There was some fantastical things, but
that's okay, you know, but but like more based in reality. Yeah,
and real this is that thing where like this goes.
It is fantastical, it is a fantasy. Uh, but it's
also based on a certain historical period. Yeah, and icon't
(01:13:18):
that you can learn a lot about a culture by
their fantasy, you know. I think so too, the stories
I think so. M yeah, so that I'm super excited
for this game. I think this is kind of a
first uh, and I want to see how it goes.
And it's back by next on, so I'm like, okay,
that's some credibility there, you know. Yeah. So yeah, another
(01:13:40):
no release date game unfortunately. Yeah, but you know p
S five, Xbox Series and PC, so that's nice. Uh.
They're speaking of Chinese though, Are you ready for another
Chinese single player maybe maybe yeah uh, this one the
(01:14:01):
last game of the night is from publisher, and I'm
gonna butcher the heck out of this, but I figure
it's better me than you.
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
I could, I could give it a go. I feel
I feel relatively confident in that. Okay, the publisher is
Wang Yuan Huang Tong.
Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
Yeah, your your guess is mine because there's I had
to guess. I have no idea if I get.
Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
Well, I'm pretty sure it's Wang Yuan for the start
for sure, and then yeah, hun Toong seems seems right,
but anyways, go for it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:36):
Yeah uh yeah. So for publisher Wang Yong shehn Toong
uh and developer Aragon, Shanghai comes a new action RPG
based in Chinese literature and Far East folklores. Lots of
folk lore stuff coming out for folksy sot right, Sword
(01:14:57):
of Legends. It's just been announced. The was actually previously
known as Gujang for back in twenty twenty one when
they first revealed that they're working on the game, So
it's actually like a serious game. There was a fourth
in the series, but they're doing like the like a
dragon thing where they're like, okay, maybe we're like international,
(01:15:18):
so let's change the name up and just kind of
like you know, start fresh with the rest of the world.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
So they're doing like the they're doing like the Final
Fantasy Sei thing, but or like the Final Fantasy thing.
But they're just like changing the whole name of the game.
Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
Mm hmm. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
In twenty years, we're gonna be like which you know,
they never localized these games.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Yeah, man, they're gonna have that debate. Yeah, let's take
a look. It's another beautiful looking game. All right, Yeah,
let's check this out. Any there we go. Look at that.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
I think you might want to see a doctor about
that piercing.
Speaker 3 (01:15:55):
It looks infected. I'm telling you, Like with the with
the Wu Kong of the World and and the Berserker,
the Persuker, maybe a little less so in terms of
like popularity, sure, I mean Wu Kong was no. Audience
was certainly no. It's it's just low. Oh it was
(01:16:16):
just low. Yeah up there there's yeah with I mean
Wu Kong was kind of a sensation. Oh yeah, it's
like Wu Kong. And then there's like another game from
the well there's Green Company. I was gonna say, there's.
Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
Been an impact though that also like kind of helped.
Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
Pave the way. It is.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Not a single player, no, no, no, I mean it's
kind of not a single player, but it's it can.
Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
Be, I guess. But but that's that's what I'm trying
to say, Like these are all like single player non
microsprans Factioninity. Yeah, and that's not that's a whole game. Yeah,
I was just I was just thinking about the h
I think that has definitely started the whole market. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
I was gonna say, like that was kind of like
the progression of like Chinese uh large releases in the US.
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
But wow, that's.
Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
You weren't kidding when you said it's beautiful. That some
good looking games, and it's probably I.
Speaker 3 (01:17:30):
Almost feel like this is gonna be more uh what
is that one game from Capcom? But I feel like
it's gonna be a little bit more only Musha than
the idea is gonna be.
Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
So I kind of got that feeling when he killed
the thing and got like a.
Speaker 3 (01:17:48):
A talisman or something from it. I don't I don't know.
Ones they ones like I think it's really cool, Okay,
I do see a little soul es I mean action
(01:18:14):
RPG like those are really only so.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Well, I mean for now, but the repertoire is expanding
for sure. People are experimenting with things honestly though.
Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
Oh that's cool.
Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
Honestly though, Like I still feel like I want to
see more ter Enigma style.
Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
Action RPGs Man the top de Yeah, like top down.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
It's it's ridiculous how few of that specific like high
quality style there are.
Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
But yeah, that's all right, I guess. But whenever we
do see one, we like cherish it for Secure, Yeah,
I think so that there's definitely if I had to
pick between Secure and stoles, I would say Secure more so.
That's weird. Their voice sounded a little horse but well
(01:19:11):
the other person's voice sounds pretty beefy. Okay, okay, so
uh no release date as of yet, currently being developed
for PC and unspecified consoles that they say consoles are coming. Uh,
just not sure what it is gonna be yet. Uh. Yeah,
(01:19:35):
And another thing that they had mentioned is that yeah,
while this is the fourth game in a long running series, uh,
it is not required standalone would play the other game.
It is a very much a standalone game, so you
don't have to be like, oh, what what happened to
the previous three games, like, yeah, don't worry about it,
just just play this as a stand alone. Yeah yeah,
(01:19:56):
all right, all righty that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:58):
Does it for the new games that we're now A
lot of games piled up in the month since we
last spoke. But uh, there is one small bit of
just kinda we didn't really know where to fit it
because it's it's an announcement about a game, but it's
kind of industry news. It's kind of a little kind
of little announcement, mini announcement. I think a lot of
(01:20:19):
y'all are pretty familiar with Deck thirteen. Uh, Deck thirteen Spotlight,
pretty well known for publishing oh gosh, uh, most recently
Chain Echoes.
Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
Before that was a cross code I think. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
So, like they've got a pretty stellar oh yeah, you
even wrote it in here, pretty pretty stellar repertoire.
Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
I thought that was a bit. I'm like, I'll play
along with this bit there.
Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
No, no, no, I'm going from memory.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
I thought it was a bit. I'm like, go, no,
I'm I'm I was just going off script. Cool, We're good.
I'm proud of so.
Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
So yeah, Deck thirteen Spotlight they've announced that they will
be publishing the upcoming JRPG from Friend of the Show
Data Dine Yes, Forge of the Faye Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
Oh man. So yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
The game will be launching on all Mounturn platforms except
switch to on uh well, on twenty twenty seven, sometime
within the year of twenty twenty seven, and they announced
this alongside a new trailer. This is our turn based
Celtic RPG that just looks so dang good.
Speaker 3 (01:21:35):
Let's pull this up here. Just just chef kiss this.
Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
Okay, here we go, stop listen, stop playing.
Speaker 3 (01:21:51):
Forge of the Fay. Look at that. So yeah, glad
they found a publisher. It's like it's huge, like provided
that the word relationship is good, We're getting this, okay, get.
Speaker 2 (01:22:10):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
So yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
Everything that we learned from David when we were talking
to him about this game, he's got a really strong direction,
really strong thought process.
Speaker 3 (01:22:24):
He's working with like.
Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
He's like worked with consultants and like actual like writing
of fantasy novels like successful published authors and stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:22:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
If it's based on Celtic war where alternate universe where
you know, people are at war against the Faye in Ireland,
oh my gosh, Like I know, I know, I've waited longer,
(01:23:02):
I've waited longer for certain games though, that's for sure.
But man, I'm certain that the weight will be worth it.
Oh gosh, so okay, I mean, hey, hey, if you
think about it, that's only a year and a half away,
twenty seven, twenty twenty seven. That's four months plus a year.
Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
That's not that far. That's congratulations to David the team
for finding a great publisher with history and reputation for
releasing you know, games that are gearing exactly towards this
very special niche gamers. So they this is a great match.
(01:23:51):
I think I was gonna say, yeah, a luck.
Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
Can happen in a year and a half, I know,
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
I feel like a lot, a lot can happen in
just eight months. It's just wild.
Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
How how things can just completely one eighty and just
up end themselves in such a short amount of time.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
Can happen in a week and a half, Yes to
that to that point, yes, true? Sorry flashbacks?
Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
Yeah, so yeah, that is something that we can all
look forward to.
Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
All right, So did you?
Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
Oh yeah, you did find some stuff to highlight here?
Let's yeah, we have we've got another section here, so
we have some uh no not community news uh, not
super chats. Just okay, here there we go, bas comments
this one, uh comments from yes, hang on here yeah,
(01:24:49):
comments from last week? Oh yeah, okay, sure, I was
just like, wait.
Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
We normally do this at the beginning.
Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
That's right, we're changing changing methodologies. By the way, if
you would like to have any comments highlighted on the show,
you may call us on our voicemail line, which you
can see on the corner of your screen. Seven eight
five three three seven thirty eight oh five. Just double
checking that I didn't just give you my old work number,
(01:25:18):
you know, just I almost did it a time or
two and I'm glad I didn't, so so uh yes,
seven eight five through three seven thirty eight oh five.
Go ahead and give us a call. You can drop
us a voicemail. We will play it on the air,
assuming that it's not, you know, too spicy for for
a podcast, and you know whatever, it'd be finally safe,
(01:25:42):
doesn't have to be a question, could just be a comment.
Give me your take. What's your hot take about the
switch too? Yeah, go ahead and maybe well you know
some airtime. Oh right, but do you want to lead
us off with the first one here or what's the
proper Uh what's the proper order? Is there in a
specific way we should tackle.
Speaker 3 (01:26:02):
Loin and then you know whatever? Okayhead then all right, anyway,
welcome you have heads here, you go for the couch potato,
says I second baker, you should play Clear Obscure. Such
an amazing game with very deep story. So how are
(01:26:22):
you feeling about the story? I wanted to ask you,
how are you feeling so far? Good? Good?
Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
So man, I will say I'm not going to provide
any spoilers because I know a lot of people are
really avoiding them.
Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
If you're on the fence.
Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
It's a really inexpensive game for the quality of experience
that you can get out of it. Uh, do recommend
first hour? I was emotionally invested. Second hour I was
already through like a whirlwind of like emotion and like
what the heck is going on? So it's it's wild,
really unique.
Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
The people act kind of like people I know, and
that's nice, you know it It doesn't feel all I mean,
there's there are points of like dark and moody, broody
and stuff, but like like the interactions between people though,
are like I don't know, like I could hang out
and talk to a friend. It's not all like genuine,
it's time for me to deliver my monologue, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:27:26):
So that's nice. I like that. And then all the
people gather and they stare each other and nod main
character and.
Speaker 2 (01:27:34):
Every yeah, everybody nods in unison one one by one. No, no,
there's no none of.
Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
That, which is nice.
Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
I like it a lot, and uh yeah, I think that.
Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
It's probably gonna get a pretty good review when I'm
done playing it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:50):
Probably I don't know it. We've got we've got a
while left.
Speaker 2 (01:27:55):
It could drop the ball and just jump off a
cliff at some point, and I would have no way
of knowing until the end.
Speaker 3 (01:28:00):
So I gotta get there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:01):
That's the point of finishing the games before I review them.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
Let's go.
Speaker 2 (01:28:06):
Yeah, so, but but maybe I don't know, maybe like
an experience points video that way, I can talk about
it sooner, but I don't. I don't think I need
to because it's it's a relatively short game, like forty
fifty Yep. When I say relatively like relative to yeah, sure,
compact is how, I'll say, Yes, you can. You can
(01:28:28):
knock it out in a week if you know life it,
but if you like have a life, you can knock
it out in a month or two.
Speaker 3 (01:28:36):
And that's good. Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
Yeah, so let us proceed onto this next comment here
from Martino Magic ninety two thirty, who says, I think
Sky third should be remade, but this time with a
much more unique setting instead of the weird floating hallway
and small flashes of previous maps that it had. If
they had literally put you in the pits of hell
(01:29:03):
and you have to escape like the setting of like
the setting implicates, it would be a much more interesting game.
Kind of.
Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
Yeah, you know what, I.
Speaker 2 (01:29:16):
Really do feel like a lot of the trouble that
a lot of people had with Sky the Third is
that Sky the Second also happened to have the same
exact environs, and so like it was neat to revisit
it in Trails and the Sky sc but then when
you hit the third you're like, all right, this again.
But here's the thing. They streamlined it for not only
(01:29:40):
themselves but also the player by introducing the location that
acts as like the hub world, and I think that
that is better than having you actually globe trot around
to experience.
Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
All these things. In the specific order.
Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
Personally, I actually really did enjoy the way that Sky
the Third told stories in a more compact sort of way.
And I don't necessarily know or think that like adding
a lot of extra exploration in the middle of it
all would have enhanced the experience, But that's just me.
Speaker 3 (01:30:17):
MEO, yamn, I can see it kind of going both ways.
So we talked about I remember what this is in
reference to. We were talking about, you know, first getting
a remake and second step and getting a remake, and
I think that's pretty set, but Third, I don't know
how they would go about it because Third always felt
(01:30:38):
more like a DLC.
Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
That ye for an expansion. But it's but it is canon.
Though it is canon.
Speaker 3 (01:30:45):
It's canon, Yeah it is.
Speaker 2 (01:30:47):
It is not just canon, but in some ways pivotally canon,
Like it is not an optional component of the Trail series.
Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
If you miss out, I don't know how they would
do this, Like, yeah, if you did a full game
on it, it feels a little short. It's so the
expansion then what would you call it? And it felt
optional but it's not. Yeah, dude, I.
Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
Mean, you know, I think that rather than trying to
reinvent the wheel maybe find a way to further streamline
the storytelling of that game, like maybe if it was
like a gosh, how long here?
Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
Let me let me check something on how long to beat? Sure?
Speaker 2 (01:31:40):
Because uh, Trails in the Sky the third is a
shorter game. Uh, main main story fever Dream compared. Yeah,
the main story is like thirty hours compared to Trails
in the Sky sc which is fifty. Yeah, for just
(01:32:03):
the main story. You know, you can do extras. Actually,
actually let me let me redo this because you kind
of have to do all of the extras. Okay, so
with extras because you don't want to skip out the extras,
it is closer to like fifty, So chosen this.
Speaker 3 (01:32:23):
Guy sc.
Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
The extras are more optional. But that's like a seventy
seventy to ninety hours, So it's a substantially shorter experience
or more more condensed experience overall, which is good. I
think if they had you running all across Liberal again again,
it could have been a ninety hour experience, and I
don't think you want that.
Speaker 3 (01:32:48):
Well. I don't think they need to make them run food.
They just need to change how the way the the
You know that particular setting is portrayed.
Speaker 2 (01:33:02):
I mean it should be. I wanted to remain faithful
to it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
But also that's the other thing. It's like, okay, how
witch you? Yeah, No, I don't really know.
Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
I think that what they would have to do is
kind of do what they did in Reverie, which I
can't speak to too much without, you know, because I
haven't played all of Reverie, but from pieces of Reverie
that I've played, there were similar elements. But I don't know,
so take that for.
Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
A grain of salt. Yeah, so I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Yeah, like, do you want a more condensed experience? Because
I feel like the pacing was pretty solid, but like,
how how do you do that in a way that
people will like it? Because it's always been divisive. But
but here's the thing. The third also has its own,
like really rabid fan base.
Speaker 3 (01:34:00):
I might be one of them.
Speaker 2 (01:34:02):
Like I respect what they did and how they did it,
and I can see why they did it that way,
and I can't think of a much better way of
doing it than what they did. So yeah, but that's
also not my job, I guess. But but the story
is set in stone, and if they can find a
(01:34:23):
different way to present it, in a way that maintains
the good and uh and somehow simultaneously pleases everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:34:32):
Not going to happen.
Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
Uh, then good for them. Yeah, yeah, I wonder what
that would be.
Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
I wonder. Yeah, Well, we'll leave it to the professionals
to sure. Yeah, I will.
Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
I will leave the impossible task upon their shoulders, and
then I will rage when they fail me. That's that's
that's the thing I will. I will set unreasonable expectations
and then I will be very upset when I fail.
Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
To meet them, because we'll race together. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
Or or maybe we could just hype responsibly. I guess
I don't know, or that I don't know the boring option. Really,
I highly recommend it. All right, So do you want
to talk about the next one here from Anthony.
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
Yes, I do. And the last one is from my
friend Anthony, who says Legend of Heroes Trails in the
Sky FC remake looks really good. I hope it sells well.
I'm getting it at release. Always wanted the PSP game,
but I think this will be really cool. Me too, Anthony.
(01:35:42):
Us both think it's gonna be really cool. It's gonna
be so good the trailers, it's probably gonna be pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
I'm gonna play it and see how it is.
Speaker 3 (01:35:53):
We'll see. I'm just gonna hype.
Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
Responsible.
Speaker 3 (01:35:56):
Usually don't like following like character trailer or like little
little like in between. Like so typically a game company
will release like a big like teaser trailer and the
big trailer and then like little like character trailers and
just like little tiny things, like I tend to lose
interest in those things, Like it's not all the time
(01:36:18):
to catch all of them. I'm watching big trailer, and
then you'll release trailer. That's it, Like those are the
two trailers I'll probably watch. But no, I've been following
all the little trailers I know about, like the different
cities and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
I was just like, oh, yeah, yeah, they're their latest.
Their latest trailer showcased Gransel and gosh like the Queen
and all kinds of people. It's gonna be awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
I'm very very excited to uh actually actually get hands
on with it.
Speaker 3 (01:36:48):
At some point, I cannot believe I'm saying this, but
I'm actually excited about a trails game. It's because happening
to me. It's because you're one of us. Now, Oh no, yeah, no,
one of us, one of us.
Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
Google God, well Google, okay, okay, let's move along. All right,
Well let's go ahead and uh and say once again,
thank you all so much for joining us today.
Speaker 3 (01:37:22):
It has been a pleasure to stry. No no, no, no,
no no no, well no no, no, no, no no.
Uh what does this thing called again? Crap?
Speaker 2 (01:37:32):
Oh super chat money yes, yes, Alvarro, thank you, thank you,
My friend Alvro says, Trails in the Sky remake is
almost upon us. There we go, nailed it, super Chat, There.
Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
We go, nail Dead, the most professional, most polished podcast
on YouTube.
Speaker 2 (01:37:52):
You know that's that just goes to show you, guys,
Baku is a He's a.
Speaker 3 (01:37:56):
Man of the peoples. Speaking of man of the peoples,
you say, yeah, you also just you want to you
want to take a little victory lap here.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
With your your latest streaming endeavor.
Speaker 3 (01:38:08):
Here man might make victory laugh. Oh yoh oh oh
oh oh. I forgot about that. You forgot I did?
I really forgot about it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
Remember when you remember at the top of the show, guys,
when Buka was like, I only streamed one time.
Speaker 3 (01:38:27):
No, no, I just was I was playing games one
time last week. Yeah, okay, sure, yeah, but that that
didn't okay, So yeah, So I recently did a charity
stream over at my friend's place, Thank you Vincent for
opening the place up, and we raised three thousand US
(01:38:47):
dollars for Extra Life. Yay, thank you so much, guys head. Yes,
of which like thirteen hundred dollars was from something classic,
the folks who did QUARTETL of course, yes, and we'll
we'll talk a little bit about them in actually just
a second. But uh so, yeah, so we raised three
thousand dollars. Uh This year, I'm actually doing something different
(01:39:10):
that I've never done before, and that is to lead
a team of streamers, some people that you might even know. Jeff,
I'm Jeff, and you have people like Neo Matter, you
know Divatron. They're all coming, they're all joining. So I
(01:39:31):
think right now we're our rosters that like maybe like
twenty streamers. What we're gonna do collapse, We're going to
do a ray train, We're gonna have some fun, and
we're gonna raise some money. This year, we're gonna try
to raise ten thousand dollars for kids who are sufferating
from diseases and and these money is going to cover
medical costs. It's going to cover treatment, it's going to
(01:39:52):
cover research, so it's it's a really good cost. I
do have a despite what you have seen with me
and virtual kids, No, I do have a very soft
spot for actual, live kids. So I tend to do
(01:40:14):
charity things like Extra Life. You know, Child's playing those
kinds of things. But Extra Life is very dear to me.
So that's what we're gonna do. So ten thousand dollars.
You'll hear me talk more about it once we get
to November. We're gonna have the Raytrain, We're probably gonna
do like twenty four hours of like streams. We're gonna
have some kickoff events. It's gonna be fun. Look forward
(01:40:35):
to that. And then speaking of thank and thank you
so much for reminding me about quartet because and we
should probably talk about this now because we're not gonna
have a show next week. Okay, there is no hit
point next week. For sure, you're not gonna be surprised
to hear this from me, because I'm gonna be a
n y S anime NYC. I'm spending two nights there.
(01:40:57):
I'm gonna be watching concerts. I'm not even gonna be
back until Monday. Is how bad it's going to be.
That's definitely because of traffic. Uh well no, because I'll
be like debt tired a Saturday and Sunday concert. Yeah,
so it's gonna be like nine thirty by the time
I get out. So yeah, no, while the regular hit
point time is gonna be in session, I'm gonna be
(01:41:19):
in that concert hall. So yeah, it's gonna be great.
Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
You're gonna live streaming, no, right, because it's gonna irl
stream at all.
Speaker 3 (01:41:27):
I probably get kicked out, but sure I'll try. Yeah.
So definitely no hitpoint on twenty second, twenty third I
believe is Yeah, twenty second I believe is twenty second,
twenty third. Well that's that makes sense because you know
I was like, no, no, no, sorry, it's twenty third,
twenty fourth, twenty third yeaheah no no no hitpoint yeah,
(01:41:47):
no hit point that.
Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
Week because also it'll be you know, I'll be preparing
for my birthday.
Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
Week, so you know that's right. It's gotta also totally
hollow life. Yes, absolutely, you know that I'll be I'm
gonna be an anime MS And also Washington Holiday Concert
for two days, both days, both days but also, and
this is the part that Quartet comes in, we will
(01:42:13):
be interviewing the development team for Quartet. Our friends over
at something classic will be coming on the show on
the thirty first. That's at least that's what's on the
books right now, so we'll be talking about oh, you know,
speaking of like Fortunate fain to twenty twenty seven. I'm
just like twenty twenty seven. But at least I have
(01:42:33):
Quartet for now to you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
so Quartet is coming out later this month, and we'll
have the opportunity to speak to the team and to
really you know, if you're not already sold on the game,
let's really let you know what goes. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:42:54):
Yeah, oh, I think I also have a thing that
I'm doing so related to that. Let me let me
double check that I that I have my information.
Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
Right, and you were trying to end a show. I
know all these things that we still have to tell you.
Speaker 2 (01:43:08):
I know, Yeah, we have a little bit a little
bit of extra housekeeping. Let me let me consult our
discussion here real quick, because yes, uh, because I want
to make sure I have this right because I think
that on the Yeah, okay, yeah, I'll be doing a
stream of the game here very soon. Actually, yes, okay,
(01:43:33):
special twitch stream.
Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
Yes, I'll get stream.
Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
I get to get hands on with.
Speaker 3 (01:43:38):
It a little bit early. Which day is it going
to be, sir.
Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
It's either going to be Tuesday or Wednesday, so probably tuesday, yes, yes, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:43:52):
I need to go back and check the day because
they gave us.
Speaker 2 (01:43:54):
I'm looking at the I'm looking at the thing, and
I think they said it's okay, but I'll double check
with them before just to be oh yeah, but like
they're saying, but you know, no more than like chapter seven,
I'm not getting date. What makes something I can get
that far in a single stream? Yeah, it's crazy, that's right, Jonathan.
(01:44:15):
I'm gonna get handsy with the guys at something classics title.
Speaker 3 (01:44:21):
Oh okay, that's it. That's it. That's it. Stay tuned
for more news on that.
Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
Check out my Discord server if you want to keep
up to date and make sure you don't miss that info.
Probably a link in the description for that too. You know, yes,
it's open for everybody. But in the anyways, let me

thank you so much for joining us today. If you're

we do it again, not next week, but the week
after that, when we go live and talk to something classic. Yes,
I'll miss it and we will see you all on
the other side. All right, I think that does it?
Speaker 3 (01:45:06):
Is that anything else? Anything else? Well? Uh no, that's it.
We'll have more fun stuff for you guys, you know,
for September for sure. All right, you'll have to wait
