We discussed Vince’s retirement at the end of the last episode, and we start this episode with Andrew highlighting the reasons Vince chose to retire when his team was on top. The stress of perfection finally became too much, and Vince retired to ease his mental and physical pain. After a while, he questioned his decision to retire, and he returned to coach the Washington Redskins for a year before ultimately succumbing to cancer in 1970.
