(04:24):
And now can I just pause for a second before
we go any further and just say I thank you
all for still listening, for listening to the replays in
these eight seasons, because again for this maybe for somebody,
life is lifing and when things happen sometimes you get

(04:44):
a little sidetracked. But I pray and I thank God
that you are still listening to Hoping Christ with the Needs.
I am honored to continue to bring the message of
the Cross to the world. So again, if you are
somebody who life is life, and we pray for healing,
we pray for wholeness, we pray for provision, We pray
knowing that Christ is the only hope that we have amen.

(05:09):
All right, So today's strategy that we're gonna get back
into in the today's message we're going to finish up
is the part two of God's grace through God's Love, sorry,
God's love through Christ, God's love through Christ, which is grace.
And so which is another way where we that God

(05:32):
gave us grace when he sent Christ Jesus to us.
And so we're gonna finish off the grace message with
the A, C, and E in the first episode of
season eight, which was some weeks ago, but we thank
God that we're able to get the next part. So
the first part of grace was the G and the R,

(05:52):
and in today's episode is going to present to you
the AC and the E of grace. And so this
can be use when you are studying about Christ and
the Lord God and how he shows grace to us, right,
and then it can also be used with you or

(06:15):
youth or in a group. And so feel free to
use it because God is just calling us back to
his word. All right, So let's do a little refresher.
So the refresher is the background information about the Book
of Ephesians, because that's the book we're talking about God's
grace from and so an Ephesians. We know that Ephesus

(06:39):
is one of the largest and most impressive cities in
the ancient world or at the time, in political, religious,
and commercial center in Asia Minor. It played the significant
role in the spread of the early Christianity during that time.
The ancient city of Epicus, located in western Asia Minor

(06:59):
at the south of the Castor River, was an important seaport.
A little bit more background. Epsis, like other ancient cities,
was deeply religious and they worshiped Artemis, which is also
was also called Diana, the goddess of fertility. And so

(07:21):
that was some of the background about the religion. And
then under the Romans, emphasis thrived during the first and
second centuries of the Christian era. At the time of Paul,
emphasis was probably the fourth largest city in the world,
and Ephesus was designated the capital of the Roman providence
of Asia. All Right, just a little bit more. Paul

(07:45):
labored in Ephesus for three years and laid the foundation
for the one of the largest and strongest Christian churches
of the first century. Mostly made up of Gentiles. It
was so effective. Remember from the first episode that even
those who practice magic confessed and disclosed their practices and

(08:08):
brought their books of magic and burned them in the
Book of Acts. And so we know that God's ministry
through power is very powerful. We're gonna review really quick
the definition of grace. Amen. So the definition of grace
and the Strong Concordance and the theor Bible Dictionary both

(08:30):
defined this word as the divine influence upon the heart.
So God's divine influence upon the heart and it's reflection
in the life, including our gratitude and also us being
acceptable to benefit, favor and the gift of God. Amen.
And then another part of the definition is of the

(08:51):
merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon
the soul's, turns them to Christ. So the merciful kindness,
the influence on our hearts that draw us. And I
was just I was just thinking about this today. And
he draws us. He presents the Gospel to us through
many different avenues and draws us, turning our souls to Christ,

(09:16):
keeping us, strengthening us, and increasing us in faith. Amen.
And so we're gonna talk about that grace definition over
and over and over as we get into the acronym
the rest of the acronym God has given me, all right,
and so let's recap the G of grace, all right?

(09:40):
And so the G of grace and its gentleness and
the goodness of God. So we're gonna look at the
scriptures and the scripture, same scriptures that we use the
first episode. We're going to do the AC and e
BO just the review of the G and the R
is in the scripture. So if you if you weren't

(10:03):
or don't remember, you want to take some notes in
the scriptures we've read, where do you recognize God's goodness
and his gentleness? Ay? Man? And goodness is God's character,
his morality, his integrity, and his gentleness, his kindness, his tolerance,
his capacity to endure and help us to endure what's difficult.

(10:27):
So where do we recognize God's goodness and gentleness? And
that's just a review and we're not going to go
back over that, but that's just a review so that
you can have it. And then the R was how
does this God's goodness and gentleness cause us to rest

(10:47):
in Christ? So the goodness and gentleness of God causes
us to rest in Christ. That's the R. So we
look for in the scriptures God's goodness and his gentleness
throughout and we can do that throughout scripture. Where do
we recognize God's goodness and his gentleness towards us? Where
I'm in, I just finish up the book of Joshua,

(11:09):
and uh, there are many places and from from from
all the books of Moses, from Genesis all the way
to Joshua. And we know that Joshua is not one
of the books of Moses, but I'm just giving an example.
And so from j Genesis all the way to Joshua,
I can just remember the areas of God's goodness and

(11:34):
his gentleness because there were times, you know, where God
was gentle and Moses would pray and Joshua would pray,
and and and and so, knowing that He's gentle, and
how does that cause us to west? And Christ Jesus,
knowing that Christ went to the cross for us, knowing

(11:54):
that he is the redeemer, knowing that he has done
all that is needed, we can read and be assured
that He has us. Amen. And so that's the g
n A R. Now today we are going to jump
into the AC and the e. Okay and so again
remember if you are taking notes, I want you to

(12:14):
make sure you have the definition of grace right. The
definition of grace is the divine influence upon the heart.
So God, the Fathers divine influence on our hearts, turning
our souls to Christ, keeping us, strengthening us, increasing us

(12:35):
in the faith and knowledge of Christ, of Him, of
His word and everything, so keeping us through His Holy Spirit.
So that's what grace is, His divine influence. He doesn't
have to buddy does amen. And so again today we're
going to park for a few minutes at the A,
the C, and the E, and so the A is

(12:58):
in grace. The achrona grace is how can you assist
others with accepting the grace of God in Christ. So
how can you and me get other people to accept
or help them, not necessarily get them to do it,
help someone else to accept the grace of God in Christ.

(13:20):
Jesus and ma'am. So we're gonna look at the scriptures
in a few minutes, but I just want to give
you the letters and then to see what do you
need to consider when you're ministering grace to other people?
When you're ministering and knowing and helping them understand that
God's divine influence draws them and churne their souls? What

(13:42):
do we need to consider? And then the E is edify, edify.
So to say it again, let's go back, let's review.
The A is accepting helping other people, assisting other people
in accepting the grace of Christ, the grace of God
in Christ Jesus. The SEE is what do we need

(14:05):
to consider when we are evangelizing, when we are ministering
to other people? And then the E how have you
been edified? So think about yourself first, how have you
been edified? Built up, taught or persuaded by the Holy
Spirit in the scripture? So again, even though you're going
to be taught, you're going to be thinking about evangelism,

(14:26):
but you're you're considering the scripture that you're reading. Okay,
And then the E. The other part of the E
is how can you help to edify that other person
that you're going to be ministering to. So again, let
me say it one more time. Now, I'm a teacher,
so yeah, that's why I'm reviewing. So how can we

(14:48):
assist somebody else with accepting the grace of God? In
Christ through these scriptures that we're going to talk about.
And then what do we need to consider when we
our ministering to those other people? And then finally, our
last letter of grace is edified. How can you be edified?

(15:11):
Or have you been edified after you read the scripture?
How have you been instructed, built up, taught or persuaded
by the Holy Spirit? And then now how can you
edify those other people? How can you help others too
with ways to be edified? Amen? And so we're gonna

(15:31):
we're gonna use each letter as we walk through. Ephesians one.
All right, So Ephesians one, three, and four. So these
are our first sample scriptures. It says, blessed be the
God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
has blessed, who has blessed us in Christ with every

(15:55):
spiritual blessing. Amen. And the heavenly place is even as
he chose, or he picked us out and chose for
one's self us in him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and blameless before Him in love. Amen.

(16:18):
And so again, blessed be the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed or caused us
to prosper, or favored us in Christ with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly places, the abode of God, even
as He chose or picked us out oneself in Him

(16:43):
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, pure, consecrated,
in blameless be for Him before God. Amen. And so
remember in Ephesians, he's talking to the Church of Ephesus. Right,
these are mostly gentiles. We are considered what gentiles. There

(17:06):
were some Jewish people there as well. But this scripture,
how can after we've read the scripture and thought about
the scripture, how can we assist other people would accepting
this grace that in Christ, God has blessed us. God
has caused us to prosper. He's favored us in Christ

(17:27):
with every spiritual blessing and ma'am and in the heavenly places,
even as He chose us in Him before the foundation
of the world, that before we, before the world even
came about, that God chose us in Christ, that we

(17:47):
couldn't make ourselves pure and consecrated and holy, but we
would be made holy through Christ and blameless before God
in Christ Jesus. So how can we assist others in
accepting that, and and I would say, in just parking
here just for a second, we can a system accepting

(18:08):
an understanding that this was God's doing. It wasn't our doing.
It's not that we can do. So this was God's doing. Now,
what do we need to consider, because remember we're walking
through the A, C, and the E. What do we
need to consider that person's mindset? Basically, so we can
consider their mindset like how do they do they believe?

(18:29):
How do they have fact? Do they even believe that
God is God? Do they believe in Christ? And so
then we help them in the areas of ministering not
not not shoving Christ at them, but ministering Christ to
them and considering again, if they they have some trauma, right,

(18:52):
what do we need to considering that they may have
some trauma, They may have some things going on that
would hinder them from from accepting right that from accepting
that they have been favored. They are they've been made,
they made whole, or we're made pure and consecrated and

(19:12):
blameless before God in Christ Jesus is. And they may
think so we may consider they may think it's simple,
or it's too easy, that's just too easy. But we
can also tell them our testimony right of what God
has done in our lives and and seen and we've

(19:33):
seen what He's done, and we are actually the witnesses
of what Christ has done in our lives. And then
how has this edified us? You know when we read
the scripture, how does it edify me? Again? It edifies
or instructs me and builds me up. And that's what
edibi means, or it teaches me or persuades me to

(19:56):
understand that I can't do anything. It is the the
work of God. It is the work of Christ in
my life that purifies me. Now I do have to
participate in the surrender, right, and so that's what helps
me with the instruction and being uplifted and built up

(20:16):
in the world. Is I understand I do have to participate,
but it is the work of God in my life.
And then how can you help the other person the
same way? Helping them understand going to church is not
going to do it. Just going to just you know,
going to a lot of people say, you know, they're
walcome with Christ, and because they go to church and

(20:38):
they serve in the church and all that, But helping
them understand that it's bigger than it is, much more
than just doing it is a relationship or true relationship
that is every single day, not just doing things for
God and man. All right, and then let's hop over

(20:59):
to five and six. So we're just walking through how
can you use the ac and to eat with someone
with someone else? Because this part is about the other
person for the most part. And so the verse five
and success he predestined or he predetermined decided beforehand. He
predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ,

(21:22):
according to the purpose of his will, to the praise
of His glorious grace with which He has blessed us
in the beloved Okay, and so here's a little nugget,
a little study note from the ESB Study Bible. It
says previously ordained or appointed to some position is the
meaning of that God's election of Christians and tells his

(21:45):
predestining them to something, in this case, to adoption as sons. Hence,
election and predestination in this context refer to God's decision
to save someone. So God I decided to save us
from the beginning, all Christians male and females. Females are

(22:06):
sons in the sense of being heirs who will inherit
blessings from their Father in heaven. And so again, all
Christians are heirs to the promise of God. And says
he protestined as adopted. So everything that God promised, He's

(22:28):
going to give to us a man, as we have
accepted Christ. And so how do we let's go back
to our A C and E, how do we help
somebody accept that? Now, Let's say somebody is dealing with rejection. Right,
I was somebody who dealt with rejection, and so helping them,

(22:50):
except that God from the beginning predestined me, or called me,
ordained it, or appointed me, decided to save me from
the beginning, right, and that I would be an air,
right air and inherent blessings from Him. If I have

(23:13):
walked through so many hard times and abuse and things
in my life, it may take me some time to
receive that. But we would then helping them to accept it,
right and remembering that it will take It may not
happen right away, we may plant some seeds along the way,

(23:34):
so helping them with that. And then what again, what
do we consider I said, I just kind of answered
that part. Consider the rejection that they may be experiencing.
And so in that rejection, it may take some prayer,
right for that individual. It's always going to take some
prayer for that individual. But being open also again and

(23:59):
a lot of this is going to kind of repeat itself,
being open again, to tell your story, tell your testimony,
be vulnerable, right, being vulnerable? And then how does this
edify us? And let's let's look at us first? So
how did this edify me? When I looked at this,
knowing that God had already I think about it like this.

(24:21):
This part makes me understand and remember that God knew
that once he gave us a free will, right, he
created us with a free will for the purpose of
being able to choose for ourselves. And so he knew
when he did that that he would have to have
a plan, and he had that plan already in place

(24:44):
because he knew because he's the creator, he knew what
he placed inside of us, which was a free will
for example, and having a free will, he knew that
that free will choice was something that that we might
use against them, right, we may go and do because

(25:06):
it gave us that choice. Right, He gave us that
choice to choose he said Joshua and Joshua. Right before
the end of the Book of Joshua, he says, choose
this day whom you will serve, and so choosing God,
and and and it may be for that person. You know,
as we edify, we know that God chose us, but

(25:27):
us choosing God it made you know, it's a choice
that we have to make. And when we think about
that choice that we made, we may have made some
some some wrong decisions. We may have walked in the
wrong direction. But again remember in the word grace, God
draw draws our hearts to Christ. And so in the

(25:48):
midst of that we help people understand that we're not perfect, right,
but we we can help them and walk beside them
and pray with them, and a way of edifying them right.
And then let's go to the next part so Verses
six through eight, and it says, to the praise of

(26:08):
His glory grace with which he was, he has blessed
us in the blood. In Him, we have redemption. In Him.
In Christ, we have redemption, a releasing effected by payment
of ransom, a deliverance through his blood, the forgiveness of

(26:33):
our trespasses. So we have redemption of payment of ransom.
That's like somebody the sin had arrested us, right, sin
arrested us, and we were out there, we were doing
whatever we wanted to do. And so Jesus paid the
ransom for ourselves. He paid, He created us, He paid

(26:54):
the price through his blood on cavalry, and so that
we would have forgiveness of our trespasses against God and ma'am,
according to the riches of his grace, according to the
riches of God's grace which he lavished upon us in
all wisdom and insight. Now that's a mouthful right there,

(27:17):
head to the praise of his glorious grace, his merciful kindness,
once again exerting his holy influence upon the soul. He
knew out of it, He just knew. He knew that
we would fall. He knew that we would not do
it on our own. We couldn't do it on our own.

(27:39):
He has all power, he has all authority, and so
he did it. And his grace is sufficient for any
of us. Through the blood of Christ, we are delivered,
We are redeemed through the blood of Christ. And now
again going back to our acee, how can we assist
someone that we've forgiven, we're redeemed in the blood. How

(28:03):
can we assist them? And accepting we can assist again,
they can see us our I was just saying this
as I was driving our personal salvation. The salvation encounter
with Christ is a miracle within itself. And so again
I know I repeated it before, but sharing and being

(28:26):
very transparent about how we came to Christ, where we were,
how how busted we were before Christ and what and
our supernatural encounters could help that person accept the grace,
could help them understand that even though somebody else may

(28:49):
have heard us, somebody may have left us and may
have lost someone or whatever, the redemption. Christ loves us.
God loves us, and so we redeemed and that and
then just helping them understand that it may not be
an easy road, but God is all faithful. He will,

(29:09):
he will heal us, he will deliver us, he will
set us free. And again that that accepting and that considering,
that's gonna be back and forth, so you know, you
may they may open up. Right. I've had people that
I've been I'm a I'm a writing coach, and I'm
a minister of the gospel and different things that I do.

(29:31):
I'm a speaker and I'm also a writer and author,
and so there been times people have opened up to
me and I've had to consider the words that come
out of my mouth right by ministering grace, because they
may not have gone through you know, I may not
have well, let me reverse it. I may not have

(29:52):
gone through what they've gone through. And so I begin
to pray and ask God what to say. So considering
their words, it's another thing that we need to consider
when we're trying to get them to accept the grace
message of Christ. And again, how can they how can
we help them be edified? Is one has helped them

(30:15):
with going and digging into the Word for themselves, right,
helping them if they don't understand, if they ask questions
about the scripture, you know, leading them to even a
pastor or a minister or someone a teacher of the
Word that can help them to unpack the word. So

(30:36):
that's another way to edify them, help them them to
be edified, lead them to a Bible teaching one that
believes the wholeness of God's Word. And that's another way,
all right. And finally Versus nine and ten. So this

(31:03):
is our last part verses nine and ten, making known
to us the mystery of his will. So making known
to us through Christ, the mystery of his will according
to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as
a plan for the fullness of time to unite all
things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

(31:25):
So this scripture goes back to letting us know that
God already knew that we were gonna mess up. He
know he had This shows his all knowing, right, he's
all knowing. It shows it because it says he had
a plan of the fullness of time to you, not
all things in him. But yet he still gave us
a free will. He doesn't control us. It's often sometimes

(31:48):
you hear people say, well, you know, why didn't Why
didn't God just not give us a free will? He
knew what we were gonna do. I heard somebody say this.
He knew we were gonna mess up. He knew we
were gonna reject him. He knew we were gonna turn
away from him, And so why did he give us
a free will? Why he just you know, control us all?
But you know, when I thought, when I heard that

(32:10):
person say that, it really bothered my heart because if
God controls us, then we can't have a choice. That
means that's not true love, right. That's kind of like
when people are are planned to like and in other
countries and many many years ago, where a person is

(32:32):
raised up to marry a certain person. They don't know nothing,
they don't know anything about that person, but they are
raised up and this is the person you're going to
marry that person, that's the person you're gonna marry. Are
you really gonna love that person? That's the question. Are
you really If you're forced to marry somebody, are you
really gonna love them with your whole heart? You might

(32:53):
grow to love them, but that's you didn't choose to
get to know them, to walk beside them, to hear about,
you know, learn about their lives, their likes, their dislikes
and all those things. And so I always use the
analogy of my husband being married for twenty six years now,

(33:13):
and we've known each other since we were kids, and
so if I hadn't come to know him and grow
with him and know his likes and dislikes and we
laugh and we just there's a bond that grew over
these years. That means that now I know the reason

(33:34):
why I love you, It's not because you forced me
to love you. It's because I chose to love you.
And so that's this scripture just reminds me of that
that God had a plan to unite us, to unite
everybody the world. Says that he doesn't desire that anyone
would perish, but that always come to repentance, and so
his desire is not that anyone of us would perish.

(33:57):
And so he had a plan to unite and all,
to unite all things in Christ and Heaven and things
on earth in Christ. But yet he still gave us
a choice, because that's what true love looks like. That's
what when we come to know and love God. With

(34:18):
all of my experience in my life and everything that
I've gone through, I promise I chose to love God
because I have. God has been by my side. I've
come to know him, I've come to understand things. I've
come to understand that I should love God with my
whole heart. And sometimes we love other things more than

(34:41):
we love God. And so helping a person to accept
and understand that when God gave us a choice, that
was love all by itself. Amen, So it have been
to how when we help them accept the grace is
showing them that when God gave us a free will,
choice was love all by itself, because otherwise he would

(35:03):
be a dictator. Otherwise sin wouldn't even be an option.
And then again we will be robots, we would not
be human beings with hearts of compassion and love. And
even when we're angry with God, God knows that we
can go to him and say, Lord, this made me
a little upset. Can you help me? And then we
repent right because we're drawing in love, we can hear

(35:25):
his voice. He speaks to us, and we feel his
love and his compassion for us, just like our own
parents say, ma'am. And so I just pray that you're
able to help somebody accept the grace of God in Christ.
Consider what they are experience and of what they may

(35:46):
be going through or what they have gone through. When
you're ministering grace to them, consider that person. A lot
of times when I'm watching social media, for example, and
people are outministering to people there for seeing what they
think on that person, and I think sometimes one of
the things we need to do is just listen, Just

(36:09):
listen and let the Holy Spirit give us wisdom, that
the Holy Spirit give us wisdom and then again edify.
How do we help them edify? And how do we
help them? And we may not be able to do
a whole lot. We can build them up, We can
tell them that God loves them right. We can edify
them in that way, but we got to first believe

(36:30):
that God loves us right. We gotta first believe it ourselves.
So that's being edified by the scriptures, and also through
the prayer, being edified and hearing the voice of the
Lord and reading the scriptures, slowing down long enough to
read the scriptures, and being lifted up and built up
and instructed and taught and persuaded that God loves us right.

(36:54):
And then we can help somebody else. We can help
that person be edified in other and God, we can
help edify them. We can help them see it through
the Word. We can help them. Sometimes. You know, there
may be a person who is a Bible teaching person
and you share it with them, and so you're edifying them. Right.

(37:17):
A song a person, a person, a Bible believe in
person who's a gospel song that may edify they may
uplift them and and they may get something, there may
be a story. I'm a read I'm a fiction reader
at heart. And there are some some authors that listen, listen, listen.

(37:38):
I'm given one of the examples. For example, Francine Rivers
is a Christian author that when you read her books
you are edified. You hear me and in my and
And I'm a fictional author as well, and when I write,
I try my best to edify. The person may be
experiencing something, just like with Francine Rivers books. We write

(38:01):
about an overcoming, but we edify by showing that person
that God, that stuff don't stop happening, because life is life. Right,
we live in this world. But God is in the
midst of us. Right. If we call upon him, he
will answer. Hallelujah. He will answer because he alone is God.
And we bless his name. We glorify his name because

(38:24):
he loves us without condition. Some people may say they
love you, but there's something attached to it. Therefore you
but there's something attached to it. But God is He said,
I'm with you, He's for us, and there is nothing
we can do about it. There's nothing attached to it.
There is nothing we can do amen, and so we

(38:48):
if we would simply take the time again to consider
the other person we're evangelizing to and help them understand,
help them understand that we're one. We're not perfect. We
were saved by grace through faith. Right, we will save

(39:09):
we were I was told tore up, right, I was
tore up before Jesus, And so I just say thank you,
thank you, thank you for tuning in right just before
we close out, a few of my basic Bible study
tools are things that I use all the time. Right,

(39:30):
I just switched over to logos and and I also
use Logos and Olive Tree hand in hand because they
have some great resources. So some of the basic tools
that I use are sticky notes all the time, pens,
color pencils, like because I am reading the word and
I have a journaling Bible, and so I'm writing, So

(39:53):
imunish you to open that word. And if you don't
do anything but just pull up the dictionary and if
you don't understand a word, look it up and right
next to it, write some notes next to it so
that you're being again edified. There's that word again edified
through God's word. And so I use a lot of
different resources when I'm studying, because again, what I'm also studying,

(40:18):
I'm presenting to other people. But I'm also being edified.
So I can't tell you how much being a journal
having a journally Bible has blessed my whole soul has
blessed my life. I've been using a journal Bible for
about two years possibly, and I can't put them down.
I love them, I love them, I love them all right.

(40:41):
And then so the next episode, the next episode, we
will talk about no one boasting, right, no one boasting
that we will discuss from Ephesians to in eight. No
one will boast that it will all being God. So
we'll talk a little bit about God's purpose for our lives, right,

(41:05):
and that nobody bowsts. I love this topic because nobody
can boast. Only God can talk about only only God
has the glory in my life. Nobody can talk about
what they've done because I've seen God move when nobody
else was there. And so we're going to talk a
little bit about so that no one can boast from

(41:28):
Ephesians to an eight, all right, and feel free as
we close out to follow hope in Christ with Denise

(42:10):
I'm going to pray us out and then we're going
to exit. Hallelujah. Thank you Lord. I thank you for
this time. God. I thank you Lord God for the
opportunity to continue to share the message of hope to
the world. God. I pray for the God that those
who are listening would share this and receive and help

(42:32):
somebody else use the grace mythic God. And I pray
Father God in the name of Jesus, that as they
study their scriptures, God, that they would even continue to
use grace and see your grace in their lives, see
your goodness and gentleness they were resting you. They would
accept that grace and help other people that accept it.

(42:53):
O God, And then they would also consider what is
keeping them. First of all from that grace, but also
what the other person may be in bondish to or
or struggling with that they can't accept the grace message,

(43:13):
and then how they can be edified in You God.
I pray in the name of Jesus that you would
help them and you would be their God, Oh God,
in Jesus name, Amen, Amen and amen. So again, thank
you all for tuning in to hope in Christ with
Denise here on Kingdom Influences Broadcast. Have a phenomenal, amazing
