Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the
Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
a new mindset, and another day for you to become
the Hawrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys.
Happy April, Happy Spring, Happy Wednesday. I am so excited

(00:36):
to be entering a new month, my birthday month, it's
airy season. April is one of my favorite months, not
only because it is my birthday, but it's finally starting
to feel closer to summer and I don't know, my
mood's good, the vibes are good. I'm sure everyone's kind
of feeling the same way, knowing that summer's right around

(00:56):
the corner and just things are getting exciting. But obviously
I haven't been on the podcast in a week and
a bit. I was on vacation, as you guys know
if you follow me on Instagram and I mentioned it
on the last episode. I took some time off and
spent the week away with my husband for his birthday,
and guys, it was such a great trip. If you've

(01:19):
never been to Mexico or Tuloom, I highly recommend it.
It's truly such a beautiful place. The people are so kind,
and I just always have a good time. I think
I've been to Mexico honestly, I want to say like
eight times, which is so crazy because I've been a
lot with work, I've been a lot with just like
family trips or trips with Zach. We got engaged there,

(01:40):
so it's kind of a special spot for us. And yeah,
So when Zach and I were actually planning this trip
to go away in March, I asked him, like, where
do you want to go? Do we want to go
somewhere different? And he was like, honestly, I want to
go back to Mexico. I love Mexico. I really want
to go back there. So I was like, sure, let's
do it. So we booked up the same resort that
I went to this time last year with my parents,
the Hilton till and I cannot say enough amazing things

(02:03):
about this resort. I always get so many questions and
dms on like where I stay and all that and
if it's worth it, And in my honest opinion, the
Hilton's never do me wrong. But the Hilton Tuloom is
so good to the point that I probably will be
going back this time next year because the food's incredible.
I think the resort is absolutely sending, the service is amazing.

(02:26):
I was just in Poudhicanna, as you guys know, in January,
and if I were to compare the two resorts, I
would one hundred percent recommend the Hilton over the little
pis in that I stayed at in January. And again
there's nothing wrong with the low pison. Pouda Canna is
just I don't know. I just felt like the Hilton
was like more of like a five star like luxury
feeling resort and all in all, just the best experience

(02:50):
in my opinions, So I will definitely be going back.
And for anyone that's looking to book a trip to Tuloom,
whether it's for your honeymoon or just a baby moon,
or just a trip away with your partner, I highly
highly recommend checking out Hilton to whom it's so good
and for those who ask. It is also an all inclusive,
so I know some people really like the all inclusive
vibe because who doesn't love that when you get to

(03:11):
a resort, you don't have to worry about paying for anything.
You already know exactly what you paid for before the trip,
so you know you're going into the week not feeling
stressed about money or whatever. It's just kind of nice
knowing that you've already paid for the entire trip before
you leave. I think more so it's beneficial for Zach
more so than for me when it comes to all
inclusives because I don't really eat that much or drink

(03:33):
that much, so I don't know if like it's fully
worth it for me. But for my husband, I feel
like he eats, he doesn't drink a lot, but you
know what I mean, Like he drinks, so I don't know.
I feel like it's more beneficial for him than for myself.
But again, the feeling of like not having to pay
for anything and knowing that everything's paid for already is
quite nice. So yeah, anyways, I just thought I would

(03:54):
share where we stayed because I did get a lot
of questions about that. It was very very good. It's
very family friendly, very couple friendly. I wouldn't exactly say
it's like a good bachelorette place or like party vibes
with your friends, like it's more couples and families, like
there was a lot of like new moms with their

(04:15):
newborns there, which was like very eye opening for Zach
and I just because like I feel like, obviously we're
at that phase in our life where we're talking about
kids and all that. Obviously we're not there yet. But
it was just nice to see and very refreshing to
see parents like still traveling with their newborn. And I
don't want to say like they made it look easy,

(04:35):
but it was just a nice feeling to see that, like,
your life doesn't stop when you have kids. And I
think a lot of people have that perception where it's like,
you know, you can't leave your house when you have
a newborn, and like you have to do everything at home,
blah blah blah. So yeah, maybe I shouldn't say newborn.
I should just say like a six to nine month
old baby, because when you're in the newborn phase, I

(04:55):
think it's only like for the first four months of
their life. But yeah, like six to nine month range
of you know, the babies and anyways, it was just
nice to see the parents being able to travel and yeah,
just seeing how chill the baby was and a lot
of the kids were very like well behaved. It was

(05:15):
just all in all, a very eye opening trip for
Zach and I. And yeah, we are not having babies yet,
I promise, but yeah, maybe soon. But anyways, it was
just a trip that we both wanted to have and
it was nice to spend the entire week together celebrating
Zach's twenty ninth birthday. And now that we're home, I
have gotten back into the swing of things. Unpacked my suitcase,

(05:39):
reset the house a bit, doing some laundry, getting back
into my workout routine. All that. We got back late Saturday,
so Monday was kind of like my first day of
getting back into the swing of things. And now we're
here today for Tuesday. Did a pilates class this morning,
and now I'm recording this episode. So let's talk about April,

(05:59):
because is a new month. It's new vibes, it's new energy,
it's new goals. So I thought we could talk about
some habits and goals that I'm personally doing for this month.
But this might inspire you to think of some goals
for yourself that you want to achieve this month. I
think one thing for me, I'm thinking of summer prep.
And I'm sure a lot of people think when it's summertime,

(06:20):
they think about obviously working out more, and I feel
like I'm in that mindset where I'm like, i feel
like i could be doing a little bit more than
what I'm doing currently. So I do plates every single morning.
As you guys know, I have been combining it with cardio,
which is spinning, but i haven't been spinning that much lately,
so I've been trying to like find different ways on
how i can include cardio every single day. So I'm

(06:40):
trying to do pilates in cardio, so almost not two workouts,
but almost two workouts every single day. So whether it's
walking or running or spin classes, whatever the case may be,
I'm just trying to find another source of movement that
I can do within my day to do that combo
of plates and cardios. So I've been doing pilates classes

(07:01):
in the morning and then I've been walking on my
treadmill for an hour and I've been doing that with
habit stacking. So whether I'm you know, doing some work
on my phone or reading. Reading has been a big
one for me, and I'm going to touch on that
in a second, but reading some morning pages while you're
walking on your treadmill in the morning, I think is
a great way to get extra movement in, but also
being able to habit stack is a game changer, and

(07:24):
then walking outside more. Obviously, trying to include some spinning
classes more into my routine is something that I'm really
trying to push myself to do every single day for
this month. So that's kind of like my little April
challenge for myself. When we were on vacation, I was
walking twelve to fifteen thousand steps a day. Okay, I

(07:45):
don't even do that here at home, so I'm like,
I can barely get to ten because obviously I work
from home, I'm not really walking, you know, constantly, Whereas
when we were at the resort, we were purposely walking
everywhere because you know, the casas, like each hotel room
h little casas, and we were in Costa five, so
we were really far from everything at the lobby, so

(08:05):
we would walk, but it was like a ten minute walk.
It's not like it was a long walk. But we'd
be doing that every single morning. So we'd be walking
to get breakfast, walking back to the hotel room if
we wanted to walk back to get a coffee, and
then walk back to the hotel room, like you know
what I mean, Like there was just constant movement and
I loved that. So I'm like, I need to keep
this up when I get home because I just feel
like walking is so underrated and it's truly one of

(08:26):
the best movements to be doing every single day. And
if you're walking ten thousand to fifteen thousand steps a day,
I'm telling you right now, you will definitely notice a
difference in how you feel, how your body looks, all that.
So walking is truly a game changer. And yeah, just
something that I'm really trying to increase this month. And again,
if it's not walking, it's going to be spinning, or
it's going to be running, or you can also do

(08:48):
like biking, rollerblading. We're getting to that season where we
can actually get outside more and do more outdoor activities,
which is so fun. So yeah, another goal for me
is reading more. When I was on my trip, I
was reading The Housemaid. If you guys haven't read that book,
I highly recommend it. They're actually releasing a movie. I
believe they just wrapped up the filming in February and

(09:10):
the movie is supposed to be launching at the end
of this year. I think it's actually supposed to launch
on Christmas Day. But anyways, the book was absolutely amazing.
When I was in Poudicuana, I read the book every
summer after by Carly Fourtune I believe she's a Canadian author.
But anyways, the book was good. I really liked it.

(09:31):
It was really really good. But this book, wow, The Housemaid,
it just kind of like made me love thriller books,
Like I never thought I would love a thriller so much. Wow.
My anxiety reading those chapters was insane. I don't think
I've ever been so invested in a book in my life.
Like I truly like couldn't stop reading. I would be

(09:54):
outside tanning and Zach would be like, Okay, can we
go to the room, and I'm like, okay, one more chapter,
Like I just want to read one more chapter. And
then we'd get back into the room and I would
read more and Zach was like, hey, we should probably
get ready for dinner, Like you need to go put
your makeup on and get your hair ready. I'm like, okay,
just one more chapter. Like I was so addicted to
this book. I would say it's like a romantic thriller,
I guess, and it's so good, so it's a series.

(10:15):
So I already bought the second book on my mom's kindle.
My mom has a kindle and she's letting me use
it just because I've been obsessed with it, and my
mom doesn't really use it that much. My mom prefers
hard copy books because I bought the kindle for her
for Christmas, and I just find it funny how I
bought it for her, but now she's basically letting me
use it for the time being, and she's just been

(10:36):
reading her books through hardcovers. But I don't really have
like a preference. I think having like the hard copy
versus the kindle, I don't really notice a big difference.
But the kindle is nice. Just it's smaller and it's
just like easier to bring around, especially for traveling. But anyways,
I bought the second book and I haven't started it yet.
But one of my goals for April is to do

(10:58):
morning pages. So as I said, walking on the treadmill
while reading, even if it's just like a chapter, or
you could read two chapters, I like to walk on
the treadmill for an hour or so I can kind
of combine that with work as well, so I can
work off my phone obviously editing stuff and submitting stuff
in for work, and then also read my morning pages.
So that's what I've been trying to do, and this

(11:20):
could be another goal for April that I'm trying to
hit is having less screen time, so having a screen
free time in the morning and night by replacing it
with reading a book. So I think screen free time
is really important to include into your routine because I think,
you know, everyone is a victim to doom scrolling through Instagram,

(11:40):
through TikTok, and obviously with my job, I feel like
I have to do some doom scrolling, but I do
think I can choose different times to do that. So
really kind of just setting more time aside in the
morning and at night to just have screen free time
and really just dedicate that to reading more is yeah,
something that's really important to me. I think overall, reading

(12:05):
was definitely a big goal for mine this year, because
I think I've mentioned it in previous episodes. But I'm
not the biggest reader. So if you're someone like me
that was never a big reader, like myself, I just
could never find interest in like just reading in general.
I just always had a hard time imagining the characters,
imagining the you know, the situation in your head, and

(12:27):
it just was like hard for me to get into
a book. But I think it's because I wasn't reading
the right books. So I do truly appreciate people's recommendations
and opinions. So my mom actually recommended me The Housemaids.
She said, I feel like you would really like it,
and that's why I read it, and I was obsessed
with it. So I think having recommendations is super helpful.
So if there's influencers who are big readers, I think

(12:48):
those are really important influencers to follow if you're a
big reader yourself, to get a lot of recommendations and
just yeah, reading different types of books that you might
be interested in. So I will be fully transparent that
I'm definitely new to that and I've read two books
this year, and I'm already really proud of that. To
be honest, I think my goal this year was to
read twelve and I do actually think that could be
pretty achievable. So yeah, I don't know. I'm just trying

(13:11):
to make it a goal of mine to read more,
and I'm realizing how much I actually enjoy it and
how it's important to also, you know, read as much
as you can, because I think it's good for our
minds to consume that versus consuming unnecessary content that we
see on social media sometimes. So yeah, if you're someone
like me that isn't a big reader, I highly recommend

(13:31):
trying out the two books that I recommended. One is
The Housemaid. I definitely think you need to read that
because it's amazing. And now I'm even more excited because
there's a movie coming out, and yeah, I really want
to do that. The other book that I know is
releasing a movie I think next year early next year
is Verity. Is that what it's called. I think they
were filming in New York City. I saw a bunch

(13:53):
of like Instagram reels and tiktoks about the filming and
apparently that book's amazing. So that's another book that I've
been wanting to read. I don't know if that's a series,
to be honest, it might be as well. But anyways,
there's so many good books out there that we could
all yeah, get into. But that's something I'm working on
and I'm really proud of myself. For getting into it,

(14:15):
because it was definitely something that I felt like I
just never thought I could get back into. And like
I used to read in high school. Obviously I think
all of us did, but like, yeah, I don't know,
I just had a hard time getting back into it,
and I feel like now I've fallen in love with it.
And I'm really really proud of myself for yeah, doing
something that I thought would I wouldn't enjoy, but I

(14:37):
actually do enjoy. And yeah, so highly recommend that book
that I read, and I was addicted the entire time.
I actually had a hard time vlogging because I was
so focused on the book. So you'll see in my
YouTube video that will be posted hopefully tomorrow. Well, I
guess today for you guys because it's Wednesday, but you
guys will see like how invested I was in the

(14:58):
book and yeah, it's just super funny. But anyways, so
that's another goal of mine. Another one for April is
morning sunlight. So I really want to get back into
just that, like walking in the mornings with the fresh air,
or even just like stepping outside on my patio drinking
my coffee with my book. Maybe, like I really try

(15:19):
and prioritize that in the summers of me stepping outside
immediately after my workout. So for me, like if I
were to describe the perfect day for me, it would
be waking up early, going to a workout class, coming home,
eating my breakfast, making my coffee, and stepping outside and
either journaling or planning or reading while sipping my coffee.

(15:40):
I think everyone can agree that would be the perfect
morning routine. So that is something that I'm trying to
do is just really enjoy the fresh air. And I
love in the summer running in the trails like that
to me is so therapeutic. So when it's actually nice outside,
being able to run outside and just get some fresh
air as soon as they wake up literally so key.

(16:01):
I also love to use my parents' backyard. My parents
have a really nice setup in the backyard and I
love visiting them in the summer and just sitting outside,
working outside, just bringing my laptop and getting some editing
and like just podcast stuff done well in there. So
I currently don't have like a backyard setup. That's something
that Zach and I are trying to figure out if

(16:22):
we want to do this year or not. Of course,
owning a house is not cheap. Like furniture is expensive.
Backyard furniture is expensive. You know, we did invest in
getting a fence last year, which was quite costly. So
I'm like, do we want to put some patio furniture
out this year, like get a couch, an umbrella all
that we might? We may not. Anyways, the last goal

(16:43):
for April that I've been wanting to hit is experimenting
with different recipes. So I have been really on food
Pinterest right now, Like I've been really just trying to
find different recipes because I think over time, when you're
eating the same meals and this same food for an
extended period of time, you kind of get sick and

(17:04):
tired of things. Right Like, I've been eating kind of
like the same rotation of certain recipes that we've been
making for a pretty long time, and I'm like kind
of getting sick and tired of them. I'm like, Okay,
we need to change it up. And I also think
for me, it's something that I you know, I love cooking.
It's something that I enjoy and one thing that I
always talk about here on the podcast is always trying
new hobbies out all that, and I feel like for

(17:25):
me I've always felt like a good cook, but I've
never really you know, put the effort in actually experimenting
and cooking more foods that I'm not you know, used to, right,
like just experimenting with cooking a salmon properly or cooking
a steak properly. Like I don't usually try to experiment
with different things, Like I just kind of cook what
I know. I'm good at cooking, and that's it. So
one of my goals this month is to definitely experiment

(17:47):
and try different recipes out, different meals out. It's definitely
something I want to share through social media as well,
like through TikTok and YouTube and all that of me
trying different recipes out, seeing if it's a fail or
seeing if it's, you know, the best meal ever. So yeah,
I just feel like April's gonna be my month of
discovering new recipes, trying out new desserts. We have a

(18:08):
ninja creamy that we got for Christmas that we honestly
haven't used much because we couldn't really find a good
protein powder that was working for our ninja creamy. We
just got a new one recently, so I'm hoping we
can try a recipe out this week or next week.
And then another thing I've been wanting to try is
there's like a viral dates dessert. It's gone viral like

(18:30):
I think a few years ago. To be honest, it's
not like it's a new thing, but I've seen people
do it where it's like dates butter, sea salt and
chocolate chips, and then I think you can also drizzle
almond butter as well. So I think I'm actually gonna
try that tonight because I did buy all the ingredients
for that, so I have that all in my pantry,
so I think I'm gona attempt that tonight. But that's
something that's, Yeah, I don't know how that's gonna be

(18:51):
butter in a date. It's quite interesting. But anyways, just
trying things like that that's completely different and new. Like
I've been eating the same dessert for five years. I'm like, okay,
it's literally just dark chocolate and chocolate grab crackers, and
I'm like, we need to change us up, Like why
am I still doing this after six years? So just
making like little changes like that and healthier swaps and yeah,

(19:12):
just finding ways to include new recipes into our weekly rotation.
So those are my four or five goals that I
just listed for April, just you know, trying out the
pilates and cardio every single day. I'm also going to
try and combine different workout classes, so I think I
mentioned trying out agreed that was something I wanted to
do coming back from Mexico, as well as some hot

(19:35):
pilates classes. So it's a hot mat plates class and
bar classes. So I'm gonna try those two out this
month and then experimenting with different recipes, morning sunlight, screen
free time, reading, more all that. So if you haven't
set goals for yourself this month, I highly recommend it.
It's a great way to motivate yourself to obviously just

(19:56):
better yourself and just you know, stick within your healthy habits.
I always recommend doing that, and I feel like we
used to do this all the time entering a new month,
and I figured I would bring it back when we
start going into a new month. So those are my goals,
and I'm going to hold myself accountable and make sure
to hit those goals so we can go into April
with a good mindset. Now we're going to get into

(20:18):
the Spring refresh checklist, so things that you can do
in your home or just for yourself to feel refresh
going into a new season. We've kind of touched on
a few things when it comes to spring, but I
feel like I haven't really talked about like things that
you could do kind of around your home when it
comes to cleaning or just like refreshing your home and

(20:38):
just going into a new season. I think everyone can
kind of feel a little more refresh changing up certain things.
So one thing that I'm doing this month is organizing
my entire closet, so you know, taking away my winter clothes,
bringing back my summer clothes, you know, getting rid of
things that either I'm not wearing or doesn't fit me,

(20:59):
or donating some things, selling some things, et cetera. So
I definitely need to go through a lot of my
workout sets. I have so many workoutsets that I don't
even wear, to be honest, that I bought years ago
that either just like don't fit me properly, or you know,
when like workout sets just kind of get kind of
like bulled up. Is that the word I'm looking for?

(21:19):
You know, it just kind of like looks ratty. That's
definitely not the right word, but you guys know what
I'm trying to say. It looks old, right, So I'm
like I could get rid of these, and you know,
just things that I can donate that don't fit me well.
So that's something that I'm making a priority. Is just
kind of like a closet refresh of just going through
everything and yeah, getting rid of some things along with

(21:40):
my makeup vanity, Like I have so much makeup that
is either you know, probably expired or things that I
don't use that just kind of like reacted with my
skin that I could get rid of. So just finding
areas in your home that you can completely refresh by
getting rid of some things, so like your makeup vanity,
your closet, bathroom cabinets, cabinets in your kitchen, your office,

(22:02):
Like just find areas that you could declutter and just organize,
because I think that's the key when you're going into
a new season, is just kind of refreshing your space.
Another big thing is the cleaning of your home, so
cleaning out your fridge, cleaning your couch, cleaning your furniture.
Like I just did a huge couch reset. I cleaned
my entire couch. I put all the cushions in the wash,

(22:23):
bleach them, let them air dry, and the couch looks
so white after doing that. I usually try to do
that once every three months, is cleaning the couch. But
also just like deep cleaning your furniture, Like obviously dust
builds up. Not everyone dusts every single weekend because that
would be a lot, but your baseboards get really dusty,
your furniture gets really dusty, your bed frame, like just

(22:45):
like areas that you don't really think about. I think
it's important to just kind of like look at all
services and get rid of any dust, any mess, vacuuming,
et cetera. Just kind of doing a good clean. Another
thing that something that my sister actually pointed out to
me that she's like, you should do this as your
spring like refresh or spring cleaning, because I feel like
this is something that a lot of people can do.

(23:05):
But going through like your camera roll on your phone,
Like guys, I have eighty five thousand photos and videos
on my phone. Yeah, that's absolute craziness. I definitely need
to go through it. Of Course, with my job, I'm
filming constantly and I'm taking photos constantly, so that's just
like gonna happen. I pay for like a lot of

(23:28):
iCloud storage and all that with iPhone, but because it's
my job, like it's just something that I have to do,
but I do need to go through it because I
do think I could probably take it down by least
twenty thousand for sure, because there's a lot of videos
and photos on there that I'm like have no purpose,
to be honest, because let's be honest, if you're taking
photos for Instagram, you're probably taking at least three hundred

(23:49):
photos for that one good pick, so you know times
that by however much. I got on vacation with my
sister and Pudicana and then my trip was ZAC. So anyways,
there's a lot of content that I need to go
through and get rid of. So definitely need to do
that is a camera roll clean and just like an
iPhone cleanup. Also, just like if there's apps that you
downloaded that you don't ever use, like that's something that

(24:10):
you could just delete and get rid of. I know,
I definitely have useless apps that I do not need
on my phone, So doing kind of like an iPhone
clean and then you know, going through your laptop any
like screenshots or like your emails is something that I
should go through as well, your files, just kind of
like tiding up your screensaver and deleting anything that's just

(24:30):
not necessary. But yeah, so just kind of like a
digital cleanup or a digital declutter, I guess you could say,
so going through it and just yeah, decluttering everything off
your iPhone and your laptop would be essential for going
into a new season. Things that you could do also
within your home to make it feel like more spring
and going into a new season is thinking about the

(24:53):
sense in your home. So I'm a big candle girl.
I love my candles, So for me, I kind of
like buying candles based off the season. So usually for Fall,
I'm doing more of like a kind of like mahogany
wood scent. I really like that, those deep tones of that.
For Christmas I'm doing more like cedar vibes, and then

(25:13):
I feel like for spring, I'm very much into like
that floral vanilla scent. So whenever I go to home
sense or if you have like a home goods or
anything like that, I'm always looking for sense that I
feel like reflects the season, and you know, when you
light it and it's in your home, it like makes
you think of spring, or it makes you think of
that season. I also love like room sprays or like
bedroom sprays, like keep your house smelling fresh again, going

(25:37):
with the floral scent for the spring season. So just
doing little things like that I talked about in the
last episode two of like finding ways to like decorate
your home for spring, like getting dish towels or you know,
kitchen towels in the colors that like really reflect springs,
so like baby blue, baby pink, all that that's something
that I actually want to do. I should be going

(25:58):
to Home Sense maybe next weekend, just because this weekend
is my birthday and it's just too crazy of a
weekend planning a birthday party, and I never really talked
about that with you guys. I'll talk about that at
the end of this episode. But I have my birthday
party this weekend, so it's kind of just been a
crazy week of planning some things for that. So maybe
next week I will do a little spring refresh flog

(26:18):
and we'll go to Home Sence. We'll pick out some
things to the house just to make it feel a
bit more spring. We talked about this as April goals,
but getting outside more and doing some activities outside is
really important. So you know, maybe getting into some hobbies
that you've been wanting to get back into, Like golfing
is something that I've been wanting to get back into.
Zach's obviously a big golfer, so just going to the

(26:40):
driving range with him playing you know, a nine hole
would be super fun. I love playing pickleball, So getting
back into that, biking, rollerblading, you guys get the gist,
But like getting outside more and just really starting to
enjoy the warmer weather. And again it's kind of benefiting
with getting more sunlight by being outside more and moving

(27:02):
our bodies by doing something active all that. Another thing
you can do for spring refresh is getting a haircut
or getting your nails done, like doing any kind of
appointment that makes you feel good. I'm getting a haircut
actually next week. I haven't gotten one since December, I think,
so for me, like, that's going to feel so nice

(27:22):
just having my hair freshly done. It's a huge mood booster,
it's a huge confidence booster. So maybe you haven't gotten
your nails done in a while, get your nails done,
maybe get them, you know, in a color that reflects
the spring season, like a baby pink or a baby blue,
or like something with florals on it. So I don't know,
just like find things that maybe you haven't done in

(27:43):
a while that makes you feel good and makes you
feel refreshed. Like I always love having a pedicure on.
I find having a matching pedicure and manicure always makes
me feel really refreshed and just more confident. So yeah,
just like doing little things like that where you can
book an appointment that makes you feel good going into
a new season that you feel like you might need

(28:03):
a little refresh on, Like I said, your hair, your eyebrows, anything. Really,
the last thing I'm god to recommend when it comes
to your spring checklist is prioritizing tasks that they've been
putting aside. So I don't know, I feel like there's
always things that people are doing in their homes or
work wise that they want to complete before the summer,
because let's be honest, I feel like everyone's summer is

(28:23):
usually pretty busy with plans, whether it's with friends, family,
or booking vacations with like your boyfriend or your husband.
So there's definitely a lot of tasks that like Zach
and I have put aside that we always, you know,
say we're going to do in the winter, but then
things get busy, you know with work or you know, travel,
whatever the case may be. So for us, like my
office slash podcast studio is something that we're going to

(28:44):
start getting back into next weekend. We need to paint it,
We have to pick up the chairs and just like
add little details like a TV all that. And then
another thing we've been wanting to do is in my
living room, we have like little indents between our fireplace,
like little knooks, and we've been wanting to add floating
shelves there. So that's another thing that we've been wanting

(29:06):
to do, potentially getting some backyard furniture, as I said,
so getting lawn chairs, getting couches, setting up like a
little kind of like backyard patio situation. So yeah, So
just like little things that you guys have been putting aside,
is definitely important to take on during the spring season because,
as I said, let's be honest, summer's busy. You're not
going to have the time to probably do those things

(29:27):
on a weekend. Another thing for us is, like Zach's
a huge sports guy, So he plays a lot of
sports on the summer, like golfing and softball and baseball anyways,
So I feel like a lot of the weekends that
I want to get stuff done in the backyard. He's
not always free to do so because he's usually in
tournaments or you know, doing stuff with the guys. So
I'm like, you know, what we should prioritize April and

(29:49):
May as like the two months of just getting everything
that we need to get done around the house and
just things that we've been you know, kind of putting
on the back burner and not doing. I'm like, I
really want to finish it that way going into the summer.
Everything's done and we can just focus on enjoying the outdoors,
enjoying time with you know, family, friends, doing activities outside
all that. I just really want to prioritize this summer

(30:11):
with not doing things around the house. I just want
to be outside and enjoy the time that we do
have for the summer season. So making those tasks a
priority in the spring season I think is crucial for
not just for myself, but for you guys, and something
to think about. And it could be things that are
not related to a house, could be things that you know,
I said that it could be related to work, Like
there could be stuff that you've been really wanting to

(30:31):
work on, whether it's things for your own brand or
just things that you have at the office that you're like, Okay,
I should probably get this done. Like you're gonna want
to take some time off realistically in the summer, So
just really prioritize everything now for saving it for the summer,
and then that way you have the summer to not
stress about it knowing that you did all those tasks
in the spring. So that's everything that I compiled together

(30:54):
for a little spring refresh checklist, along with my goals
and habits that I'm hoping to take into April this month.
But I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. As I said,
I am celebrating my birthday this weekend, so I'm actually
hosting Bresso Martini themed birthday. I'm so excited. Last year
I did host something here at my house, but this year,

(31:15):
I'm actually hosting something at a restaurant. It's kind of
like a private event that I'm hosting with a restaurant,
and I'm super excited. There's gonna be a lot of
express martinis. Obviously, I'm doing a lot of things that
are like all brown theme all that, and I've been
super into brown lately, so I'm so excited. It should
be so fun and I can't wait to share with
