Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the
howcrel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
a new mindset, and another day for you to become
the hockrel energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
Happy Wednesday. I hope you guys are having an amazing
week so far. I cannot believe it, but I am
(00:36):
twenty nine. It is officially my last year of my twenties,
and I am like, so I don't know, excited about it.
I'm also like, I can't believe I'm at this phase
in my life. I feel like my twenties went by
so fast, but at the same time, it all went
so slow. It's such a weird feeling. But at the
(00:58):
same time, I hear such amazing things about entering your
thirties and how your thirties are actually the best years
of your life, because let's face it, being in your
twenties is amazing and it's, you know, something that I
think everyone looks forward to and everyone talks about how
it was amazing times and amazing years of your life.
But I feel like your twenties that a lot of
(01:18):
people don't talk about, is how much of a rollercoaster
of you know, emotion and change that happens in your twenties,
whereas like in your thirties, I feel like that's your
peak in your life, where it's like you have your
shit figured out, you have your career figured out. You know,
usually at that point you're settling down, whether you're having
kids or having a family, you know, again creating bigger
(01:39):
milestones for yourself in your career or for your life
in general, like buying a home all that. So, I
don't know, twenties was amazing and I truly loved every
aspect of it, and it was truly a rollercoaster of
a decade, just like thinking about my early twenties versus now,
like how much has changed and like changed for the better,
and like definitely things happen for a reason in my opinion,
(02:02):
Like I truly believe in that motto, and I do
think going into my thirties is going to be even
better and there's going to be even better things coming.
I think there was always this perception of just being
afraid of your thirties and how you know you're getting
older and like things are getting more serious and you
know what, Yeah, but like also things get serious in
your twenties, and you know, you're done school and you
(02:22):
have to find a career for yourself, and there's always
so much pressure of figuring out what you want to do.
And anyways, I just think it's a totally different life
that you live in your twenties versus your thirties. And yeah,
I'm just really excited, honestly to enter my thirties. And yeah,
just have an amazing last year of my twenties as well,
So I'm excited for twenty nine. I'm excited to see
what's in store. My goal for this year is to
(02:45):
definitely travel a lot still with my husband and fully
just yeah, enjoy every aspect of this year. It's already
been a great start for twenty twenty five, so I'm
already excited to see what the future holds for the
rest of this year. But I did want to quickly
recap my twenty ninth birthday if you guys follow me
on Instagram and I kind of mentioned it in the
last episode, but I hosted a Espresso Martini birthday party theme.
(03:09):
If you want to do it yourself, there's so many
mood boards on Pinterest. That's kind of how I built
my birthday theme, as I always go on Pinterest and
just kind of like build inspo from that. And basically
what I did is I decided to stick to espresso
martini versus just like a dirty martini. I've seen people
do like a dirty martini thirtieth birthday parties, but I
really liked the idea of doing like a brown theme
(03:31):
where everyone dresses brown, we have brown decorations, we have
espresso martinis everywhere, So that's kind of how the theme
came to be. Anyways, that's what I decided to do
for a theme and for decorations and all that. I
just ordered some stuff from Amazon, got my outfit from Revolve,
and that was like the best brown outfit that I
could find that I personally felt like was really fun
(03:51):
and cute for the birthday aesthetic that I was going for.
We had about twenty five people there. We did at
a restaurant called Starling, And the reason why I picked
it is because it had like a private event space
up top, so we had the entire top floor with
like not bothering anyone in the public restaurant, which was
huge for me, because I feel like when you have
a big group of friends, and I'm sure you guys
(04:13):
can maybe relate to this when you're going out for
dinner with your friends or you know, if you have
a big group of people that you go out to
dinner with all the time, it's really hard to be
in a public setting when everyone's so loud and you
have such a big group of people that I don't know.
For me, I'm like, I didn't want to be in
the public space. I really wanted to be more of
a private event. And obviously we wanted photos, we wanted videos,
(04:35):
and anyways, I just felt like it was necessary to
find a space that we could fully just have to
our own. So that's what I did, and it was
so worth it. The food was incredible. Everything about it
was just so fun. I got a bunch of espresso
martinis for everybody, so it was just like very chill,
but everyone had a really fun time. And then the
(04:55):
restaurant also had like a basement cocktail bar that we
went to after the fat and yeah, all in all,
it was a really fun night. I don't ever go
to the downtown area of Ottawa, so if you live
in Ottawa. Maybe you can agree to this, but I'm
not a fan of the market. It's just not my vibe.
It's gotten really sketchy over the past few years and
I'm just not about it anymore. I'm small town vibes.
(05:19):
I like where I live. I like to stay in
this area. The only time I ever like to go
out really is when I'm traveling and not in my city.
I don't know that might be an unpopular opinion, but
I do not like to go out in my hometown.
I just would prefer to, yeah, go to other areas
when I'm traveling. It's just a personal preference. But anyways,
I love where I live, but I don't really love
(05:39):
it for like the going out vibes. I like going
to like nice restaurants and that's about it. But anyways,
So that was my birthday. It was super fun, super chill.
You know, only had like a drink or two. You
guys know that I don't really drink that much, so
I kind of like touched on this in previous episodes,
but alcohol is just like not really for me. And
I think I've realized that as I age that, you know,
(06:01):
not everyone's going to love it and how it makes
them feel. And for me personally, it's just doesn't make
me feel the best way. Sometimes I feel like super unproductive.
Sometimes I feel lazy, and that's okay. I think we
need to normalize that it's okay to feel that way
and that if your body, you know, doesn't feel good
after drinking, like why keep doing it if you don't
(06:23):
want to do it. And obviously, I'm very much into
health and wellness, and I obviously know there's a lot
of bad things that happen when you drink booze. It's
just the reality. But you know, I do enjoy having
an occasional glass of wine. So for me, it's not
something that I want to fully cut out. And I'm
all about balance. I'm all about balancing you know, what
you eat, what you drink, everything. So I'm not really
(06:45):
wanting to fully cut it out because I do enjoy
the occasional drink and like, for example, celebrating my birthday,
like I was craving an espresso martini, I was craving
a glass of wine, and you know, I did kind
of feel like shit the next day, but I wasn't hungover.
It's more so I just find it drains my energy
and I don't want to do anything all day, and
I'm a very productive individual and I like to be productive.
(07:07):
So I don't know. For me, I have my thoughts
on alcohol, and I would, you know, I would hope
no one would ever judge me for being a mocktail
person and not drinking that much. Like at the end
of the day, your friends should accept you for who
you are, and I think it's I feel like it's
becoming more and more normalized, which is great that you know,
I'm not going to judge you if you want to
(07:27):
get blackout drunk, but don't judge me for not wanting
to get blackout drunk. Right, Like, there's people in my
friend group who are like me who don't drink that much,
and then there's people in my friend group that you know,
love to drink a lot. And we're all very much
with the motto that like you do you like you
do what feels best for yourself, and we still all
have a very fun time together and no one forces
anything on anyone, Like everyone just allows themselves to do
(07:48):
what's best for yourself, which is what I love about
my friend group is that we can all just do
our own thing, and everyone kind of accepts that, you
know what I mean. So Yeah, anyways, I kind of
wanted to talk about some lessons that I've learned in
my twenty and I guess that's kind of one of them.
Where As I've grown into the woman that I've become,
I feel like I've learned that, like alcohol isn't for me,
and that it's not always for everyone. Another thing that
(08:10):
I feel like is very much happening in my life
currently is there is no timeline in life as a
lesson that I've learned, because I always had this vision
that I would be married by a certain age, I'd
have kids by a certain age. And I'm sure a
lot of you guys could feel the same way that
you know, you always had this, you know, timeline that
you wanted to complete things in your life. And I'm
(08:31):
telling you right now, my timeline did not match what
I wanted from you know, five to seven years ago,
when I, you know, envisioned me getting married and starting
to have kids, like at this point in my life,
I envisioned myself having my second child and I don't
even have a kid yet. I just got married last
year at the end of the day. You need to
just trust your own gut and do everything on your
(08:51):
own timeline. Don't be matching someone else's because the worst
thing you could do is think that, oh, like all
my friends are having kids, so I should probab have
a kid now too. But if you don't feel mentally
ready to take on that responsibility, if anything, that's worse
for yourself, and you're going to create just a bad
mental health for yourself by forcing something on yourself that
you don't feel ready for. So for me, I don't
(09:14):
feel ready right now. I'm going to wait another year.
I might wait another two years. Like I'm all about
listening to my body, trusting my own gut, Like I
don't want to do something that like I feel pressured
to do. I want to just do it on my
own timeline. And I think so many people have promoted
that so amazingly through social media that you know, people
are in their thirties, whether they're thirty four or thirty seven,
and they're having their first child, and it's so refreshing
(09:36):
to see that because I think a lot of people
just have this perception that, oh, as soon as you
hit thirty, like you're going to be infertile and it's
going to be hard for you to have kids. And
I hate that, like, I actually hate that that is
being promoted. And I understand why it's being promoted that
way because they're just trying to make you aware and
just you know, really understand your body and do your
(09:57):
checkups and all that with your doctor and all that.
But at the same time time, we also need to
be able to normalize that it is still possible to
have kids aft with the age of thirty three, Like
you're not behind in life, like you can still have
your own path. So that is one of the lessons.
There is no timeline in life. Another one is life
will always change for the better. I think change is scary,
(10:19):
and I think a lot of people you know, are
scared to make those changes. And to be fully transparent,
I'm very scared about having children Like that to me
is something that I'm scared for because I know my
life is going to dramatically change. But I'm also in
that mindset where I'm like, you can't be afraid of it,
because at the end of the day, that change might
be the best thing that you've ever done in your life,
(10:41):
and it might be the best decision that you've ever made.
So change is scary, but it's also very exciting and
can be really good for you, and in order to
grow changes needed. Becoming a mom is something that I've
always wanted and I'm very excited and something that I'm
really excited to do with the Zach. Is well as
being able to have, like I don't know, that makes
(11:02):
me feel so emotional, Like being able to have a
part of him and a part of me in one
is the most magical thing ever. And I truly do
think pregnancy and just giving birth and everything is so
insane that our bodies can do that as women. And again,
it's something that I want to do, but I'm just like,
I think I'm just waiting for that sign where it's
(11:23):
like you're going to feel ready and you're going to feel,
you know, ready to take on that change. And it
scares me, but I know I need to do it,
and I know I'm going to be super proud of
myself and excited that I did do that, and I
know it's going to be life changing in the best
way possible. And yeah, I think I'm just really waiting
for that new decade to kind of like start that
(11:44):
new chapter. I think everyone in their head might have
like a mental checklist, and that's kind of where I'm at.
I always have like a checklist of things that I
want to complete my life before like getting to that
next chapter in my life. And there's just a few
things that I want to complete. So that's is something
that I've learned, is that no matter what, life will change,
(12:04):
and it will change for the better. In that change
is exciting, and so that brings us into the next one,
which is take those risks. This is something that I
was very afraid to do in my early twenties because
I hated what I did. I worked in the health
and wellness space as a project manager and it just
wasn't for me. I was not into the office job life.
(12:25):
It just even working from home, it wasn't my favorite
thing in the world. I didn't have a passion for it.
Even though I did love health and wellness, the career
choice just didn't seem for me. And I have always loved,
you know, the creative side of things. When it came
to designing and editing videos and I don't know, just
photos being taken all that. There was always this creative
(12:48):
side of me that I just loved so much. And
I think there's also a lot of pressure from your
parents sometimes when it comes to your twenties, is that
they have a specific vision for you on how you
know you should go down. Like maybe your parents are
doctors and they kind of pressure you to get into
the medical field, but that might not be something that
you want to do, right. So I think in your
twenties you have to kind of discover yourself and put
(13:10):
your foot down and that kind of allows you to
grow up into the person that you become, and you
kind of like force yourself to do something that you
trust yourself doing right. To be fully transparent, my parents
didn't really think the whole social media and influencer thing
was the right path to go down. They were very
much like, you should be running a business, you should
be going down the business side of things, Like, I
don't know if this is the right decision for you.
(13:30):
And at that point in my life, I'm like, well,
I'm twenty five, I'm an adult. I can make my
own decisions. This is something that I'm going to pursue,
and whether you like it or not, this is what
I'm going to do. And that's that And they were like,
you're right, You're an adult. You can make your own decisions.
So I took that risk of literally posting every single
day on social media, hoping that I would be able
(13:51):
to quit my nine to five and take it on myself.
And at that time, I didn't really understand influencing. It
was during COVID I felt like I didn't really think
I was going to make a full career out of it.
I kind of just thought, oh, like I could probably
make a lot of good side money, which would be great,
and being able to put it towards a house for
Zach and I and you know, whatever else I wanted
at the time. And then once I realized how it
(14:13):
worked when it came to managers and how much you
can do when it comes to the social media platforms
like having a YouTube channel and you know, having a
podcast and all that, then I realized, I'm like, oh, wait,
like you could really make a full career out of this,
wanting to start my own brand, Like there's so many
things you could do. And so that's when I realized
that I could definitely quit my nine to five and
do this full time. And again that was something I
(14:35):
fully risked by just taking the leap of leaving my
nine to five and just hoping that, you know, I
would make money out of doing this, and joining a
management team based in Los Angeles, not realizing, Okay, is
this a bad thing? Is this a good thing? Like
I don't really know what I'm doing, Like everything was
a risk. I just remember when I signed to a
management company. I was so emotional about it and leaving
(14:57):
my job because I knew right there that it was
going to change my life for the better. But at
the same time, I was so scared because I'm like,
my parents know nothing about this. I know nothing about this.
I'm fully just trusting these people that I met through
online and hoping that you know, this whole social media
thing is going to work out, or just trusting the
(15:19):
apps in general, right, like trusting TikTok, trusting Instagram. Like
I didn't really know what I was doing at the time,
Like I truly was just like, let's just see what happens.
And it was the best thing that I've ever done.
It has been the best for my mental health. It's
been the best career change for me. I feel like
this career was meant for me, and I just feel
like I was born to do this, Like I've always
been a very creative individual. I struggled in school so much,
(15:43):
Like so so much, guys. I didn't think I was
going to succeed in life because I wasn't good at science.
I wasn't good at English, I wasn't good at math.
Those were not my strong subjects. I was always very creative,
like art, tech, Jim, you name it. Like I was
just was always doing very well in those classes. And
I just always felt like I was never going to
be able to find a career that would make me
(16:05):
successful and that would you know, allow me to use
my strengths and just love a career so much because
I hear people talk about how miserable they are with
a career that they've chosen, and you know, they've decided
to just stay there because they make a lot of
money doing it. Like I never wanted that. I wanted
to love what I do, and I wanted to find
a career that I knew I could stick to and
(16:26):
do for a very long time. And that's where I'm at.
I took the risk. I created this career as my brand,
and I think it's become a very successful career, and
I'm very proud of myself. And this podcast has also
been a huge accomplishment for me as well, because I
didn't think I would ever be able to start a
pod gas and have such an amazing community of women,
(16:48):
feel so like inspired and it's the most rewarding job
in the world. So I'm so proud of myself for
taking that risk. So it's important for you to know
that if there's a career that you've been wanting to chase,
or if you've been wanting to seek change for some reason,
I'm telling you right now, sometimes it's worth the risk,
and that it's important to just trust your gut and
(17:08):
if you have a feeling that something that's going to happen,
if you take those risks, then just trust your gut
and follow through. Another lesson is you don't have to
have it all figured out. It's okay if you don't
know what you want to do in your life. I
didn't figure out what I wanted to do until I
was twenty four to twenty five. When I was in
my early twenties, I was so lost. I was honestly
just doing whatever I could to make money, Like I
(17:31):
just picked up any kind of job because I just
I don't know. At that point, you're done school and
you just want to get a career immediately, and I
just applied for a job and work there for a
few years and then realize that it wasn't for me,
and then that's when I took the risk to do
something different. So just know that it's okay to not
have things figured out and that good things will come
(17:53):
to you at the right time. Another one is, don't
take life so seriously, just enjoy it. At the end
of the day, life will go on. You will figure
it out. You just need to care less. And it's
really not that deep. I'm gonna mention it again. I
am very much a believer in what's meant to be
will be. And so when I think about you know,
(18:14):
maybe people applying for a new job, or you know,
just something that you wanted to accomplish for yourself and
it didn't happen, it's important to have that mindset of
not being overly stressed or not being overly hard on yourself,
because at the end of the day, if you didn't
get that job, it's because it wasn't supposed to be
for you. It wasn't meant to be. So you need
to go with that mindset of like, okay, I need
(18:35):
to apply to other places. You need to be able
to have that motivation for yourself and tell yourself that, Okay,
this wasn't supposed to happen. God didn't want me to
have this path. There is a different path for me
that I need to take. So I think it's important
to create that failure into motivation and push yourself to
keep applying for jobs, and then when the right one
shows up and you get that job, you're going to realize, WHOA,
(18:59):
it's a good thing I get that other job because
now I got the one that was supposed to happen,
and it's going to make me more money. It's going
to create a better career path for myself. All that.
So have that positive mindset, have that motivation, and have
that motto in your head that whatever's meant to be
will be, and that you don't need to take things
so seriously, just enjoy life. And again, it's not that deep.
(19:20):
I think another lesson that people don't really talk about
in your twenties is how fast it truly goes by.
Because thinking about my first year of college versus now,
like it really didn't feel that long ago. And I
think it's important to just slow down and realize that
we don't need to rush through life because you only
live once, and you only live in your twenties ones,
(19:42):
and that you just need to make the most of
every day. And if you want to travel or if
you want to live in a different city, you should
one hundred percent listen to your own gut and do that.
Like working is obviously essential in your life, but at
the same time, if you've been thinking about living in
a different country for a few months, you should just
quit that job and do that. Because again, you only
(20:03):
live once. It's important to just take your time in
your twenties to do things that truly make you happy
and things that you want to do for yourself. So yeah,
I think another thing is just being present. Those are
a few lessons that I just kind of wanted to
highlight because obviously, turning twenty nine is a big one
and I'm very, very excited to turn thirty next year,
(20:23):
and I think it's going to be a new chapter
of new beginnings and exciting things of you know, hopefully
having kids and building another home. And yeah, there's so
many things to look forward to in life. And again,
it's important just to take things slow and not feel
like you have this rush of getting everything done in
your twenties because there's so much to look forward to
(20:43):
in life. And yeah, like I can't wait for my
parents to have grandchildren. I can't wait for my parents
to be grandparents. I can't wait for my sister to
get married. Like There's so many things that I can
think of that I'm looking forward to, and like my
kids graduating, my kids get getting their jobs, my kids
getting married, Like, yeah, there's so many amazing things to
look forward to, so just fully, just enjoy the moment,
(21:06):
be present, do not rush things, and know that your
twenties will be a rollercoaster and it will be amazing.
But there's so much in life to look forward to
and that, yeah, your twenties will definitely change you for
the better. All Right, We're going to get into some
fashion and beauty products for spring. I kind of wanted
to tie this in because if you guys follow our
(21:28):
Instagram page, then you guys know that we made a
little questionnaire of asking you guys what kind of episode
you wanted to hear for the podcast this season. And
some of you guys really wanted me to highlight just
some things that are trending as well as some beauty
products for spring because the Sephorest sales happening this week.
So I figured I would just kind of throw in
a few things that I love that I think is
(21:48):
a need for the season, or just new things that
I've purchased myself at I think is worth the hype.
So that's what we're going to get into for the
second part of this episode. We're going to start with fashion.
The first thing that I think every girl needs in
their wardrobe is a trench coat. I have been wearing
my trench coat NonStop, to my workout classes, to copy dates,
to running errands the past few days. Has actually made
(22:10):
me realize how I think a trench coat is by
far my favorite coat that I own. Like I don't
like wearing a parka. I'm sure everyone can agree with that,
Like a winter coat is just it's not cute, it's
not asthetic. I've just mentally realized that it's just it's
not it. You can't make a winter coat look good,
but a trench coat makes you look so high end,
(22:30):
so chic. I just feel like I look so much
more like luxury when I wear a trench coat versus
any other coat that I own. I'm not even overexaggerating.
So the trench coat that I got is from a Ritzia.
You can definitely find ones that are more affordable off
Zara or H and M. But I invested one at
a Ritzia last season and I love it even more
this year. And I just think it's a staple for
(22:52):
everyone to have in their collection because I do think
this is a coat that I would wear for a
very long time. I love how I can dress it
up or wear it very casual. Opinion. It's the best
coat that any girl could own. Another coat is a
leather jacket. I always love wearing this when I'm going
out for drinks with my girlfriends or over a workout set.
Another great jacket to have for the spring season is
definitely another one or some type of bomber. I also
(23:14):
love wind breakers for the spring season, especially because it's
still quite chilli o. It's not fully warm yet, specifically
in the morning and night. I find I definitely need
to wear a coat for the next month or two
right now, going into May soon, I'm definitely still going
to need to wear a little jacket, So whether it's
a bomber, a leather jacket, or a wind breaker. There's
so many great coats. But yeah, I would definitely recommend
(23:37):
having that in your spring collection as well. I think
I mentioned this in my Favorites, but I am obsessed
with my Sulimon sneakers. I wore them for my entire
trip in Mexico, along with wearing them to the airport.
They are beyond comfortable, like, so so comfortable. I was
walking like, on average twelve to fifteen thousand steps a
day when I was in Mexico and they were the
(23:58):
most comfortable thing. So if you're looking for a new
sneaker to walk in for the summer season, I highly
recommend the Solomons. They have so many cute colors, so
many cute patterns. All that another cute sneaker for the
spring that I wouldn't really consider a walking shoe or
just like a cute, effortless sneaker that you want to
wear with a pair of jeans to run errands, to
go to a coffee shop. The Adida Sambas are still,
(24:19):
in my opinion, a very trendy shoe. I have both
the black and white. Lately, I've been wearing the black
pair more than the white, just because I think they're
newer and they're just cleaner. And I wore them when
I was in New York City in October for the
Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and again I wore them walking
around New York City. They were honestly pretty comfortable for
the amount I was walking in New York. But I
(24:41):
love them so much. I find them so fashionable, so chic. Again,
you can wear them with jeans, you can wear them
like Lulemon leggings. I don't know. I find they look
good with everything, and imagine those with a trench coat.
I love it. It's so chic. It's perfect for the
spring season. Another thing that's becoming extremely popular, which I
also feel like is more for summer, maybe because it's
still a little cold right now. But Capris, Guys, I'm
(25:03):
obsessed with Capris. I'm telling you right now, I'm going
to be buying a denim pair, a black pair. I'm
hoping to wear it for like nice outfits going out
to dinner, Like I have so many outfits on my
Pinterest that I've saved with Capriz, and I'm like this
is it. I did not think the Capriz would be
coming back into style, but they are, and they look
good as hell. But they're coming back. They look so
(25:25):
good in my opinion, it's so fashionable and yeah, very
much giving spring summer vibes. The last thing I would
recommend for like a fashion trend that's happening for the
spring season is pestel colors. So whether it's like matching
PJ sets or matching workout sets, being in that like
baby blue, baby pink, pale yellow, oh my god, pale
yellow is one of my favorite colors. Purple, Like, that's
(25:47):
what I think of. I just think of those light
pale colors, and I find it looks so good on
anyone and any hair color. And yeah, I just find
it's essential for the spring season to have those very
pestel colors in your wardrobe. Also very random, but I've
been seeing so many girls post on TikTok about gap
and how they've been having the cutest like sweat sets
(26:09):
when it comes to the sweater and sweatpants, and the
colors have been very pestel vibes, like bright purple, bright blue,
bright yellow, And I'm like, maybe I need to hit
up gap and check out these sweat sets. But at
the same time, I have so many sweatsets and so
many sweaters that I'm like, I definitely don't need another one,
but I do not own a purple or yellow sweatsets,
so maybe it's worth going to check it out. All right, Now,
(26:31):
we're going to get into a few beauty products specifically
for the Sephoras sale. I wanted to talk about few.
I wanted to talk about a few products that I
recently purchased that I one hundred percent think is worth
your money, and one of them being is a skin tint.
I rave about skin tints all the time because I
do not like wearing a heavy foundation for every day.
(26:52):
I just want to wear something light with a little
bit of coverage, not too much. I want it to
look like it's my skin like. I want it to
look so natural that it doesn't even look like I'm
wearing my up. So the one that I just recently
purchased that was highly recommended from the Sephora associate was
Makeup Forever's new super Glow skin tint, and in my opinion,
it's amazing. It gives the most natural coverage and it
(27:14):
really does give that glowy base. I like to mix
it in with a serum, so I mix it with
the road Glazing milk and I personally find it gives
the perfect glowy, natural foundation look. That to me is
my favorite skin tint that I've tried. I've tried a few.
I've tried summer Fridays. I've tried the Coosest one and
they're good, but I don't know the one by Makeup Forever.
(27:36):
It's one of their newest product launches. I personally just
love it and I find it's a very natural finish
and I feel like that's really hard to find with
a skin tint. So yeah, that's one of my personal
favorites right now. Another thing I've been loving is Rare
Beauty's Contour stick along with her highlighter. It's like the
liquid highlighter. It's this gold color. I wish I knew
(27:56):
the name of the gold but anyways, those liquid blushes
Contours highlighters by Rare Beauty is so good. Like that's
probably my favorite product from Slene Gomes's line. Oh, I
also love Rare Beauty's mascara. Usually I don't ever like
purchase an expensive mascara. I'm usually like a drug store Laurel,
(28:16):
you know, die hard mascara girl, but Rare Beauty's mascara
did change my life. I feel like my lashes look
so long, and I have no lashes, like literally no
lashes at all. They're just straight. There's no curl to them.
I have to curl them. And I just find the
Rare Beauty mascara is like super thick, so it allows
me to like really get in there and just create
that like fullness and volume for my lashes. And yeah,
(28:40):
it's honestly really good. So if there was things that
I would recommend to get from Rare Beauty, it would
be their liquid contour blush and highlighter along with their mascara.
Another thing I've been loving is a gradual self tanner.
And obviously I just got back from Mexico, so I'm
very tanned right now, but I'm trying to maintain the
color by using a gradual tanner, and the one by
Lux Unfiltered is so good. Guys. It gives you that
(29:04):
very natural glow. It doesn't like look overly orange, which
is nice. I wanted to just look like a deep,
natural tan and what I love about it is that
it's a lotion. It's not like a self tanning moose,
so it doesn't transfer on your clothes. It doesn't transfer
on your bed, which is something that I freaking hate
when I self tann myself because I hate having to
clean my sheets like every few days. When I see
(29:26):
self tanner on it, it's just like one pet peeve
that I cannot just leave it, like I have to
completely change my bedding. For Christmas, I actually got a
spray tan kind of like a sleeping bag that I
could put on my bed so I could avoid washing
my sheets every few days after doing self tanner or
a spray tan or whatever the case may be. And
it definitely works well, but again it's not the most
(29:47):
comfortable thing, just because you can just feel that it's
not your bed, it's like a sleeping bag. So this
is the best gradual tanner that I've tried, and it's
on sale this weekend, and it just gives that like
very natural deep tan look, which is what I'm looking for.
And on top of it, it's also a lotion, so
it moisturizes your skin as well. And one of my
(30:08):
goals for this year was to really like prioritize body
care and yeah, so it's like the perfect combination of
getting a tan but also moisturizing your bodies. So ten
out of ten recommend I think it's really really good.
The last prodigal recommend I don't know if this is
at Sephora. This is the only issue, but I've seen
people talk about it on TikTok a lot, and that's
Kapari's brand. They are an SBF company and they do
(30:30):
like SBF sprays. But what's so amazing about it is
that they have these like SBF glow facial sprays and
it creates this like glow on your face that makes
your skin look like glass. I'm not even kidding, literally
looks like glass. And I got it from Revolve before
they sold out, and it is so shiny, so glowy.
(30:51):
I personally don't like using it for every day. I
would probably use it when I'm going out. I actually
use it for my birthday and I was giving that glow.
But I don't really think I would use it for
every single day. But the fact that has SPF in
it is crazy to me. So if you're going on
vacation and you want that, like glowy glass skin look
that you want to do for like a nighttime look,
(31:12):
highly recommend the brand Kapari. Or if you just want
that glowy look for your SPF, for your sunscreen for
a vacation, that's another brand that you have to look at.
I don't think through at Seppora, but I do think
through at Revolve, and again you should just check out
through products because it's a new brand that I'm just
finding out about. I think it's only been around for
a year or two, but it's new to me and
(31:32):
their products are ten out of ten. But those are
a few beauty and fashion products that I would recommend
for the spring season. I didn't have too many because
I did do a recent Favorites episode if you guys
want to listen to that. I think it was from
like four or five episodes ago, and I kind of
talked about some similar things. But these are just some
new things that I've recently got that I thought I
would share and some things that I've just been loving
(31:53):
for the spring season when it comes to fashion and
beauty products. But I really wanted to make this episode
more about me entering my twenty ninth year and talking
about some lessons that I've learned for these past few years,
and just things that I'm looking forward to for the
last year of my twenties. So I love you guys
allso much. Thank you guys for listening. If you guys
are new, definitely make sure to follow at the Hawcrow
(32:14):
Energy Instagram page. You can also follow me Kayleie. I'm
on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. But I love you guys
allso much. Thank you guys for listening, and I will
see you guys in next week's episode.
