Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
a new mindset, and another day for you to become
the Hawgrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
welcome back to another episode. Happy June. We are officially
in the month of summer. I am so beyond happy

(00:35):
to be entering the summer season. I think we're all
excited for the warm weather and just the summer season
in general. I actually just wrote the summer bucket list
for next week's episode, so stay tuned for that. But
there's so many fun things that I'm looking forward to
doing this month. And yeah, I'm just so happy that
we're finally getting nice weather and all the summer festivities

(00:58):
can finally happen. And I hope you guys are having
a good June so far. I thought we could make
this episode a lot about just June goals, things that
I loved from May, along with just talking about the
overall dream of just really just romanticizing the shit out
of our life, Like, how can we talk about ways

(01:19):
to romanticize our current life and just really make us
feel like we're living our dream life that we always
aspire to do. So I figured we could tie that
into today's episode. As you can see in today's episode title,
we're back with another Sip and Spill episode. So I'm
here with my sister Madison again. May welcome back to
the podcast. You guys loved the last episode so much

(01:39):
that of course we have to bring it back for
another monthly episode. So we're both going to be sharing
our goals. We're going to be talking about things that
we loved this past month, and yeah, just talking about
romanticizing our life. Today we're drinking lemon water. We're kind
of being boring today, but we're still romanticizing it. We're
romanticizing our water. Yeah, I feel like we could have
just had a basic water, but of course we add

(02:00):
some lemon to spice it up. Now. I feel like
refreshers are something that like I'm obsessed with right now
going into the summer season. So I feel like you
can add so much fruit in your water and it
would just taste ten times better.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Like cucumbers, strawberries.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yeah, like there's so many fun ways in Yeah, watermelon,
you could add mint. Oh yeah, mint, strawberry, and lemon.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I don't have any of that have lemon, but next
time I go to the grocery store, I could pick
that up. You can also add like electrolytes to make
it taste a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
I like lemon lime water.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Oh, yes, that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I just love all like soda drinks with lemon lime.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah. It just like makes water taste it just a
lot bit better. And I feel like it's easier to
get your water intaken when you spice it up. So
before we talk about our personal goals for the month
of June, we're going to talk about things that we
loved from May so just maybe specific products or things
that we discovered or recipes or whatever that we loved
from then to May So. For me, the first thing

(03:01):
that I actually discovered in May was I found a
love for Macha. I had no idea that I would
be so obsessed with it, and we both kind of
discovered it at the same time.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
It's funny because we've both like always just never ordered macha, Like, yeah,
we've tried it. I don't know about you. I've tried
it like maybe once and did not like it. This
was like years ago, and I feel like macha's definitely, like,
you know, gotten more popular and things like that. So
it's definitely kind of like I feel like, changed over

(03:34):
the years, if that makes any sense. So it's definitely
different than the macha I had years ago. But basically,
my friend is a big macha drinker and I went
to go get coffee with her and she ordered a
macha and I was like, oh my god, I don't
know how you drink macha, Like I've never been a
macha drinker. And she's like, do you want to try it?
Like it's a strawberry macha. I think you like it.
It's really good. I tried it and I was like,

(03:56):
oh my god, this is so good, and then I
told my sister about it. I was like, trust me,
you need to tach.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I remember that date because you were like, should we
order one or two? And I'm like, oh, no, just
order one, yeah, because because you're like so sure no,
I was like, it.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Was that one sip, that one sip only I.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Didn't want to waste my money, so I was like, yeah,
let's just get one and share and if we like it, great,
If we don't then whatever, at least we didn't waste
your money on drinkers. Yeah, huge matcha drinkers. I have
tried it twice, but I feel like when I tried it,
as you said, I feel like a lot of people
just had it in their menu, like you know, Starbucks did,
and like other local coffee shops, but no one really

(04:34):
had like the added flavors. Like I feel like strawberry
macha wasn't a big thing back then, you know, whatever
the case, you be like just like spicing it out.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah. So then I feel like now that it's like
such a common drink that people have, you know, Starbucks
has obviously made so many different kinds of machas now
on the menu, and then a lot of local coffee
shops as well. And I don't know, I feel like
people are saying to me, the darker, the green, the better.
I have no education at all when it comes to that.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
I know.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
So someone actually messaged me, She's like, oh, you're that's
too light, Like it needs to be darker. Trust me,
it tastes better when it's darker. I said, okay, noted.
I didn't really know. And I don't know if it's
because the burisas are putting too much milk.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
That the best macha we had was either the one
in La hot one in.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
La That one was really good, so good.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Or that other one. Remember when we went to that
coffee shop and it was hot.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Where the cute little cop oh yes at flowers something. Yeah,
some forget that in the in Barhaven I get the
name too, that one was really good as well. I
feel like hot macha is really creamy. Yeah, and maybe
it's just because we've only tried a few machas, like
the ice machas and not like the hot ones. But no,
if you haven't tried macha, maybe consider it and try
the flavored ones like the strawberry one as I said, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Or even like try hot macha and just like ask
to add sweetness. Yeah, yeah, that's what I think we did.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
And it's really good. It was really really good. So
I found a love for matcha this month, and I
definitely hoped continue it into my routine. I would also
love to try and attempt to make it at home.
I would love to buy a kit maybe, so if
you guys have any brands you recommend. I have no
idea what macha's considered to be good. Like I've seen
a few people share, you know, what brands they buy
to do it themselves. But I have no idea what

(06:17):
to even look for, Like I would just buy one
from Amazon and I can't taste good.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
I could be going crazy, but I swear I saw
like the makeup brands say, Beauty have Macha.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yeah they did, they hadn't they did have a latch No no,
but it wasn't their brandy. They partnered with a Macha
company and then they did it as part of their product.
I think it's I think it was actually the Rocky brand,
which is the one that we were supposed to go
to a community goods in La So I think it's
called Rocky. And I saw a few other influencers talk
about Rocky and I was like, Okay, clearly this must

(06:47):
be a good macha one. So maybe that one. And
if you guys have tried it, let us know if
you think it's worth the hype or not. But I
think the brand's called Rocky, Okay, good to know. Another
thing I discovered this month is the Greek yogurt bagels.
If you guys follow me on Instagram or talk, then
you guys know I've been literally making this every single week.
I'm truly addicted to the point where I've now made
them I think five or six times, because I think

(07:09):
you only get like four to five bagels per batch.
So Zach obviously has been stealing them from me because
he loves them as well. And I've been making the
Kilipino cheddar ones, which, oh my god, this spicy and savory.
I never thought I would be a savory bagel girl
until making these bagels. Like now, that's all I crave.
I have been wanting to try them like the sweet version,

(07:30):
so either making like a cinnamon raisin or like a
blueberry bagel. I feel like that would be really good.
I haven't attempted that yet. And then I've also done
the everything bagel as well. So anyways, if you haven't
tried it, you guys should try it out. I have
the recipe linked on my Instagram, so if you guys
want to take a peek there and try them out,
trust me, it will change your life. I'm not even
over exaggerating. I'm obsessed with it. Zach's obsessed with it.

(07:52):
I think you've made them, Yeah, I love.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
The I made the Jlipino Cheddar ones and they were
so good. So you're so easy to make. I remember
i FaceTime Kaylee, I'm like, Okay, what do I do?
Like how do I make it? Thinking it was gonna
be so complicated, and yet it was so.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Like I think it's literally like five ingredients, yeah, or
like five or sex ingredients. Like it's so easy. And
I am not a good baker at all. So the
fact that this was super easy to make made my
life ten times easier. Another thing I loved from the
past month that I discovered was the brand four three seven.
They're actually a Canadian company and I've had a few
of their workout sets in the past, but you know,

(08:26):
nothing really current, and they recently sent me a few
workout sets and oh my god, guys, the quality is
ten out of ten. I feel like the support of
the bra is just insane, the qualities ten out of ten.
The overall aesthetics of it. I have a beige set
and a pink set, and I just find them both
very flattering. So I love just supporting Canadian brands and

(08:47):
just always finding new and especially with you know the
issues of just paying for duties and tarifs and all that.
With American brands. It's just getting quite costly for US Canadians,
so it's nice to find brands that are Canadian based
and being able to yeah, just like share it with
you guys, if you guys are from Canada. It's just
nice to find Canadian brands. So four three seven has
some really good workout sets in case you've been wanting

(09:08):
to upgrade or get a new workoutset for the summer season.
The last thing that I was loving for May was
my curly hair routine. I've finally found some curly hair
products that I've been using honestly weekly. I've been loving
the curly hair and it's just been making me feel
so much more confident. It's such an easy hairstyle to do,
and I feel like it looks really good, and I
just feel like in the beginning, it was definitely like

(09:30):
something that was very out of my comfort zone. I
wasn't sure, Like Madison did the same routine that I
did this week, yeah, and I.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Was so unsure about it, yeah, because it was like
the first time I've ever done my yeah like that.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
I feel like, obviously, like when you do something new,
you have to keep doing it to get better. So
I feel like I've already done it a few times
and I'm already noticing it turning out better and better
each time, better each time exactly exactly. So it's very
like you need to get a.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Shot Mermaid waves.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Ways, it's part of for the summer. Yeah, right, less
heat on the hair, which is great, perfect for any
like beach trip or just the beach vibes in general,
if you're looking for that beachy hair look. But the
curl products that I've been using is the Curl Cream
by way, they can be purchased on Sephora or I
think Amazon. And then the moose that I'm using is
the brand ag Care, which I know you can find

(10:19):
off Amazon. So those are the three things that I
either discovered or loved from May. But I'm going to
give Madison the takeover here and she's going to share
her favorite things from May. What did you discover? What
are new products that you loved?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yeah, So I feel like there was actually a lot
that I discovered in May, surprisingly, But if I had
to narrow it down to three, I feel like the
first one, which is a big one, is discovering Korean
skin gas.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Yes, I feel like, oh, my gosh, Yeah did that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
I used to just never be like a big skincare girly, Like,
well that's a lot. I've always been a big skincare girly,
but I've just always kind of made my routine very basic,
which nothing wrong with having a basic routine. I still
do have a basic routine, but I kind of wanted
to just add in some more products to kind of

(11:10):
target specific things that I wanted to target. So one thing,
you know, I found with my skin is that I
wanted more of like a smooth look to my skin,
kind of like that glazed skin, like very.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Just I feel like that's always a challenge for people
to right.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I feel like that was like the biggest thing that
I was trying to achieve. And I'm like, okay, while
Korean skincare like that's the way to go for that feel,
everyone's hyping it out exactly. So my sister actually influenced
me to get the Metacube zero pore path. Yeah, oh
my god, game change.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I literally did an episode in this I don't know
a few weeks ago, and I talked about this specific
product and how it's literally changing skin.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
No, it's crazy, Like I wake up every morning and
my skin is glowing. I know, I can literally see
like it's like the bounce off your sad Like I
feel like I see that now and I never saw
that before. So that was definitely a product I discovered
in May that I absolutely loved.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I actually purchased it in April and I still have
like half a container left, and oh I have so
much product in it, which is so nice. It's not
like it's something you're gonna have to replant every month,
maybe every two to three months, but it truly is
worth the hype. I think it was like, what thirty
nine bucks, Yeah, no, that bad?

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Isn't that bad? No?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Which is really cost effective, which is nice.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
I've also been loving the Biodance sheet masks. Honestly, when
I first got them, I feel like I got them
when I didn't even notice that they were like a
hype on TikTok. I think I just searched like sheet
masks on Amazon and that was like one of the
first ones that came up. And then I started seeing
like all these people use it on TikTok. I'm like,

(12:53):
oh my god. I had them for a while and
like just never use them, and then when I saw
people talking about them on TikTok, I'm like, okay, I
got a use one. Yeah, and once again, like I
woke up and literally my skin looked unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Like, okay, but let's talk about this mask for a second,
because yeah, I love it. I do love it, and
I have used it. It is a bit tricky to use.
It's a comfortable I actually like, I'm all about comfort
when it comes to my sleep.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
But I will say I found a bit of a hack.
Oh I think you need it's I don't know, it's
like really a big hack. No, you need to wear
it for a little bit, like an hour or two
before you go to bed.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
No, No, that's like.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Oh I was the hack. No.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I feel like for me, it just feels like it
gets so dry where I'm like, it gets uncomfortable where
I'm like, I want to take it all. I don't
want to like, oh, time to go to sleep now
with this uncomfortable mask.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
If anything, it's the opposite, then.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Yeah, exactly, do it as soon as you like before
you go to bed, because I usually sit on it
for an hour or two and then by the time
I go to bed, I know it's on my face,
and it bothers me that I know.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
I haven't done yet, but I thought that was the hat.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Not like it's not that I.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Found it even uncomfortable just like putting it on, you know,
obviously it's different.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Like you know, what the hack is is that I
find face masks, and this could be for any face mask,
is that if you find it's too big for your face,
take scissors and cut it yourself. And that's what people
recommend because think about it, a mask is going to
be a one size fit all kind of thing, right,
and there's obviously going to be parts where you know,
it's like really big around the nose or the forehead, very.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Like tight to you.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
They say to cut, like cut it like just down
the center of like in between the eyebrows, and then
you can like lift it over top or just like
remove a bit of products so it exactly fits your
face perfectly, and that has made it a bit more
comfortable versus like the excessive, you know, part of the mask.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
I've also heard that like wearing it for a minimum
of four hours does the same effect, so you could
literally just wear it during the day, like let's say
you plan let's say you have like plans for dinner, whatever,
like later in the day, you could wear it during
the day if you're staying at home and then you
know you've got this.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Like it is worth the hype. I will say it
truly is worth it. I'm just warning you that, like,
if you want my truthful, honest opinion, it is not
the most comfortable thing to sleep with. But maybe if
you put it on, like you know, ten minutes before
you actually fall asleep or whatever, it won't feel as
uncomfortable as what I experience. But other than that, it
does truly work. And as you said, like if you
wear it three to four hours before, like if you

(15:19):
want to put it on the flight when you're on
a trip and you want to wake up, wake up,
but you want to get to your destination with glass skin,
like I would recommend that. Or if you're walking around
the house on a Sunday morning and you just want
to put a sheet mask on for a few hours
while you're cleaning the house, you could add a biodance mask.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
I also feel like wearing it, which ties into our
next topic is like I'm like romanticizing my life. Oh yeah,
which we'll talk about. I just wanted to mention that
because it really does feel like that when you know,
when you're talking about Sunday mornings, just like putting the
sheet mask on.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Like, yes, I feel like it sounds like the early self.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
So the next specific product that I absolutely loved and
discovered and made.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
And she influenced me to buy it is a freckle
pen So I I don't have a lot of freckles,
but everybody want everyone wants everybody.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
I love the look of freckles. I just think they're
so cute, especially in the summer, Like I'll get like
little freckles here and there, and I'll get so excited
when i get yeah, one it's in like the random spot,
but I just get so excited, and I just want
all those like cute little freckles on my nose and
a little bit on my cheeks. And I feel like
I've been really struggling to find a good product that

(16:34):
does that where they look really natural but also very
long lasting, like they stay on throughout the day. I've
tried using eyeshadow with like a little brush and like
putting them on my nose never stays on. I've tried
an eyebrow pencil, doesn't normally stay on either. Like I've
just I've tried to use products I already own, I've

(16:55):
never really had like a specific product targeted to like
are made for freckles. But yeah, I've just struggled to
find that one product I think used to have this
like it was almost like a liquid that you would dip.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
I think you had, yes, yeah, yes, it was almost
like it was like a liquid eyeliner, but like for freckles, it.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Was just too harsh, like when I would you would
have to blend it really really fast.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
It was like giving like sharpie on the face really
really anyway, exaggerating.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Struggling to find the perfect one, and then I did, Yeah,
and I found one literally once again on Amazon. It's
like a felt pen.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
I don't know if you've ever seen those, Like it's
literally it looks like a pen. And the one I
got from Amazon, it came with two different shades, which
I like because I think I used the lighter one today,
which I feel like will be good for like no makeup, yeah,
and then the darker one maybe for when I.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Wear you know, you could also use those pens for though,
like strands in your eyebrows.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Oh wait, that's so smart. I know.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
So if there's like areas in your eyebrows that you
want to like fill in, I feel like that would
be a good tool. And then the freckles on the
face are beauty marks that you have on your face
to like emphasize it.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
No, yeah, anyways, I used it today. I've probably told
Kayley about it three times. I'm like, Kelly, look in
my face like I'm obsessed.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
And it looks like really, I just find I.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Look way cuter. Yeah, I don't know how it will
feel prettier.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
So natural. Like I've been doing just like a pencil,
like a brown pencil on my nose and you can
tell that I'm drawing stuff on my face, but this
is like very natural.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
It literally looks like my das And is it still
long right now? Yeah? Isn't that crazy? It's all I
did today was that and like a lip tint, and
I just feel so much prettier.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Yeah. It's like just like a little added thing that
makes you feel just more naturally pretty.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
If it helps. I was on FaceTime with my boyfriend
and he literally said, you are so cute like it.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Yeah, you noticed it. It really does make everything look
ten times or I find Yeah, just using that makes
you feel ten times better as well, especially in the summer. Yes.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
So the last thing that I discovered in May, it
wasn't something I've really discovered but kind of just getting
back into were smoothies. I feel like I haven't had smoothies,
like a good smoothie in so long. Yeah, And I
hate making smoothies at home, to be honest, because you
have to buy all the ingredients just to maybe make

(19:27):
it once, and then you have all the ingredients, yeah,
and then like you never put used to them again.
I don't know. That's just for me personally. And I
ended up trying a smoothie while me and Cayley both
did try to smoothie at our favorite coffee shop in
Ottawa called Honey Yes, and oh my.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
God, it was the best I've ever had. It was
literally it was a protein smoothie too. And usually protein
smoothies like it's a hit and miss, right, can either
it tastes really chalky or like really good.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
No, this one, I was having dreams about it, like,
I know, so good.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
It's I'm going to I'm definitely going to get it
tomorrow or this week because it's like a new weekly
thing that we need to get a smoothie because I
also don't like coconut milk, and there was coconut milk
in it and good, we should honestly maybe write the ingredients.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
And I literally told Caley, I was like, so take
a picture of that. Yeah, like it was.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I actually would I would attempt to make it because
it was that good. But there was dates. Yeah, there
was dates in it. Coconut milk, strawberries, banana, protein powder, uh,
maybe something else, probably snow.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
It was just like so amazing. It was to get
over it. I wanted like another ten of them. Like yeah,
I was like, wow, this is so good. So I'm
really happy. I've been getting into smoothies and I've found
a smoothie that I love and I'd love to try
more their smoothies. But yeah, that was like one thing
I guess I rediscovered.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
And yeah, and I feel like it's a very summary thing.
Like I feel like smoothie is in the winter because
like we have cold winters here, I'm not really craving
a smoothie because it's so cold, but when it's like
summery and hot and like craving.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
It's like the best after a workout too.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah, I agree. Okay, so now we're going to share
our personal goals for June. So for me, one of
my goals is to wake up at five o'clock every
single morning and walk while watching the sunrise. So I
started on Monday, and I can honestly say that it
felt so good to wake up that early and just
get so much done. I feel like, you know, obviously
waking up at six I can get a lot done,

(21:22):
but just waking up that hour earlier, I don't know.
I just feel like I had so much more freedom
to like take my time and not feel rushed. And
doing the sunrise walk in my neighborhood has just been
like very therapeutic and very healing. And it truly was
like something that I felt like I was in a movie, like,
and we're going to talk about that just kind of
romanticizing our life in a bit, but truly that morning

(21:42):
routine made me feel like I was in a movie.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Like.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
It just was the best way to start a new month.
And yeah, I feel like waking up earlier in the summer,
there's just so much motivation, there's so much productivity, and
I think I just like want to be outside all
the time, so binding ways to just incorporate being outdoors
more and like waking up and doing a walk every
single morning. I don't know, it just was truly such
an amazing feeling to wake up to. Another goal that

(22:06):
I'm making for June is to journal more. I am
not gonna lie. I've kind of slacked on my journaling.
I kind of took a break after my trip was
Zach and I haven't really gone back into it, but
I really do miss it and I really want to
get back into the swing of things. So this week
I started back up again, which has been nice, just
to kind of write out my affirmations, my to do lists,
all that. I think it's very normal for all of

(22:28):
us to kind of take a break, and I feel
like journaling, like let's be honest, like I feel like
it can get repetitive at times, and I think that's
what kind of like steers you away from taking a break,
and then you almost miss it because you're like, Okay,
I need to remind myself to do that little habit
that literally takes ten minutes for me to do in
the morning, and it makes such a big impact. It
makes you realize how grateful you are. It makes you

(22:49):
realize you know how much you can get done in
a day. Just I don't know, I do really love
doing it. I just think sometimes it is okay to
take a step back because it's sometimes it can't get
repetitive and kind of just like, I don't know, you're
feeling like uninspired when it becomes too repetitive. But definitely
my goal for this month to get back into it.
Another one I kind of already touched on it, but
just spending more time outside and really enjoying the nice weather.

(23:12):
I think I probably talked about in a few episodes back,
but we are in the process of building a deck
right now. We are almost done. We've had some pretty
bad weather on the weekends which has caused a delay
for us to have it done, but we are hoping
to have it done before the end of June, which
is very exciting. And yeah, so I really want to
be spending a lot of time out there on our deck,

(23:32):
having dinners out there, barbecues, maybe some girls' nights, like hosting.
We want to get a fire pit, we want to
get a dining table, all that, so it should be
really fun to just really enjoy our outdoor space more
and just being outside in general. I'll be able to
work outside. Yeah, we're excited for our work dates outside.
It'll be to tan basically while working, which will be fun.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
And yeah, to spend the whole day outside like sitting
on a table.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Like just we're so close, guys, like halfway done, maybe
a little bit more than halfway done. So we're so
close to ordering furniture. We have everything you know in
our cart. We're just basically waiting to order it until
we have the deck finalized because we don't even know
where we're going to put the furniture for the time being.
So I'd rather wait for the deck to be done
and then order the furniture after the fact. The last

(24:18):
thing that I want to make a priority for June,
that it's one of my goals, is making match at home.
So please send me your recommendations if you have any
matchup brands that you love the taste of, because I
definitely think it's going to be an adjustment, especially when
you're making it yourself. I think this syrup is what
I'm concerned about, is how sweet we can make it,
because I feel like coffee it took me a while
to actually like the taste of coffee, Like now I

(24:40):
actually like it. But before I used to be like
very sweet coffees, like put all the sweetener you can.
I don't want to taste that.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
I'm so figuring out the best sweet yet, like it
took us. How many sweeteners have we been through? We've
been through.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Yeah, We've been through so many. And like I've tried
so hard to remove like creamers from my diet just
because like there is a lot of sugar on those creamers.
So now I try just use honey in my coffees
and that's it. But I feel like I'm gonna need
more than just honey, Like I'm gonna need the vanilla syrup.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Or maybe you can even try like a strawberry macha.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
I saw this one girl on TikTok make strawberry strawberry pure.
Yeah yeah, like you know how we do in the fall,
We'll add pumpkin pure, oh yeah to our coffee, but
instead you do strawberry puree, yes to your macha.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Well, I've seen people also make the strawberry pure themselves,
like with boiling it on a pot that's adding sugar
and well, I don't. I think we could do it.
I don't think it took that long. That's a whole process. Wow,
that's whatever. Yeah, how much is it gonna cause like
twelve dollars when you can make it for half the price. Anyways,

(25:47):
So attempting to make machas at home it's one of
my goals this month. So stay tuned for some fun
videos of me attempting that. We shall see if we
perfect the recipe or not. But I take a while,
might take a while, but we'll get there. Might be
till the end of the summer, maybe not the end
of the month.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
But tune back in twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Sex. Yeah, facts, Oh my god, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Okay, moving on to now my goals for the month
of June and just for I guess the summer in general.
These are things that I want to start incorporating into
my routine. So, as Kaylie mentioned, you know, having that
five am morning routine. I haven't gotten to five am yet.
I will say, it's a bit hard. I don't know

(26:34):
how you do it.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
I think it helps. So because Zach's a week so
I don't know, I feel like I can.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
He's already walking around the house making noise, so maybe
that's why it helps me so much.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
But so I've been trying to wake up at six am,
which I think is very reasonable. I'm very proud of
myself for being able to do that. So that's a
goal of mine, is waking up at six every single day.
And I really want to get into reading more.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
So I really want to Oh that would be another
goal for me.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Yeah, I just want to wake up and read my book.
Like I want that to be the first thing. I
am very bad at just wanting to be on my
phone and be on TikTok for like an hour not more. Yeah,
Like I just like I just get down this like
rabbit hole of like going through all these tiktoks and

(27:22):
then there's like one specific TikTok and then I have
to watch like one hundred tiktoks based off that one TikTok.
Like I just I get sucked, Yeah, you get sucked into.
So I'm really trying to not do that every single
morning and try reading more. So now I've been like,
for example, this morning, I read one chapter of my
book that I've been trying to finish, So the one

(27:45):
from Mexico. We went to Mexico when No put It
Can out in January.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
January, Yeah, I finished that book. I'm so proud of myself.
I can't read on planes, so oh right anxiety, Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
I just know I've finished two books. Okay, so whatever,
I'm pretty proud of myself. Yeah you should be because
and guess what, I'm buying a book.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
By the way, guys, I'm going on another trip in
two weeks with Zach. We're going to Miami. So I
didn't get to share that with you guys, which is exciting.
But I'm going to buy a book for that trip
because I'm going to try and finish the book in
four days.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
That's crazy, that's crazy. I know it's I will admit
I started this book in January and I'm still not done.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
No, it's all good, But you know what, work gets
in the way.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
As I mentioned on the last episode, I was finishing
my Masters. Yeah, so that was the preparently my priority.
And now I feel like I've kind of realized that
I want to get into reading more. So it's not
that I don't have the ability to do that. It's
just about making the time to do so and not
just reading in the mornings, but kind of like Kaylee mentioned,

(28:54):
also journaling. I have my planner which is actually Kaylee's
that we all love. We love. I have that planner,
but then I also have like a gratitude journal that
I'm obsessed with that I'm trying to use every single
morning and kind of like Kailee mentioned with journaling, how
it's like it can get kind of repetitive. I have

(29:15):
this one journal that I love because every single day
it's it asks you like new questions or new prompts
that you have to answer, which I love because it's
different things and it makes it specific to each end.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
It makes it different.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, so I really like that. So I did that
this morning and I already feel better, which is good.
So yeah, I want to get into that more. And
just like I said, waiting to check my phone and
just having that like slow morning routine. Also trying to
like maybe walk in the morning like you said, like.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah, no, walking has changed my life. Yeah, I'm not
even over exaggerating, like it sounds crazy, but just walking
early in the morning with the sunrise, with a podcast
in or your favorite music, like it is truly the
most healing thing I need to experience, like it was
the best thing. Yeah to start, I'm so happy that
I started doing it.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Yeah, So that, I would say is my first personal goal.
My next goal for the month of June is honestly
baking more and trying to bake something new, like a
new healthy recipe each week. So I did try Kaylee's bagels,
the Greek yogurt bagels, and I loved them. I did
the Jlipino cheddar ones like I mentioned, so good. I

(30:30):
really want to make banana bread. Yeah, I love, love
love banana I reality too, and I really want to
make my own banana bread with like very little ingredients.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
We love the small recipes, like we're very much like, well,
five or six ingredients.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
It's even the best because one it's easy, but also
you were the one who told me this, like you
know what's in it, right, and the less you have
in it the better.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Yeah, And also like these ingredients that were buying at
the grocery store is expensive, like if it's need like
twenty things and one loaf of banana.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
And it's also like sometimes the ingredients are so specific
and it's like we never using that again.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
No, exactly, Like there's no point. So I feel like
just finding like the most minimalistic easy recipes that we
involve like five to eight ingredients, that's like super easy
to do. It also makes you feel like it makes
it easier for you to do it again exactly if
you're went through a whole process of making an entire
mess of like with all these ingredients, it just takes forever.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Yeah, so definitely want to do banana bread or like
blueberry muffins, or like carrot muffins, Yeah, kind of carrot
cake vas. Yeah, I've seen those on TikTok and they
actually like really really so.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Actually executing the recipes that you see from Instagram and
exactly into your day to day.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Exactly and making maybe my own adjustments if needed, you know,
if there's something in it that I.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Whatever, there's walnuts in it, you don't walnuts exactly, or
like something.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Cottage cheese yogurt instead of cottage cheese like that. But yeah,
that is definitely a goal for me for the month
of June. The next school would be limiting processed foods.
So I will admit I'm a chip girl. I love chips.
I used to be addicted yeah, I just like love

(32:15):
the taste of chips. I mean, I don't have them often,
but like when I do, it always hits for me,
and I hate that. I don't want it to hit,
but it does.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
But that's okay to have it once in a while.
It's exactly don't happen every single week. Like It's just
like I was.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Just about to say, it's definitely totally okay to indulge.
You know, my mom would always say everything in moderation,
but I think for me, for the month of June,
I want to try to limit it, so not necessarily
fully cutting it out, but just trying it to have them.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Or even find like a substitute that exactly like replace
it with and then when you're craving them for that
once in a while moment, then you know you can
have it in moderation exactly.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Like Also, I'm sure the girlies know, but like when
you first get into a relationship, I feel like going
out on dates, you're you know, maybe going to the
movies and you buy the popcorn, the gummies, the chicks.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Well, because there's more dates that are happening usually in
the beginning of a relationship, so you're leaving the house more.
You're eating, you know, things out all the time, not
really cooking at home. So I mean I went through it.
I think everybody kind of goes through that.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Yeah, And even like whenever I go to my boyfriend's house,
he's always like, oh, do you want to go to
the store and pick up snacks. I'm like, yes, but.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
No mean vegetables.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
I'm like, let's go to the healthy section.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Let's go get a vegetable strawberries. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Okay. So my last school going into the month of
June is to I hate saying this because I am
such a coffee drinker, but is to drink less calff bean,
which is gonna be hard, Like I say.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
That now, but I mean there's so many good decaf options,
like we will have an espresso.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
They have really good Like I actually used to be,
like I only used to drink decaf and then I
kind of switch back to having caffeine again. I just
find when I have too much caffeine it makes me
really anxious. Like, yeah, I get anxious very very easily.
And I find drinking a lot of caffeine just like

(34:17):
makes me anxious. And I notice it. If let's say
I have like two coffees in one day or something
like that. So I want to try to drink less caffeine.
And that's kind of where like the smoothies tie in
or the Macha ties in. Yes, I know there's still
caffeine in Macha, but I think it's less very limited, yeah,
from what I've heard, So kind of replacing my coffee

(34:41):
with Macha in the morning, or instead of getting a coffee,
getting a protein smoothie or something like that. So I'm
really trying to do that for the month of June.
Also getting more into teas. Yeah, is a lot of
decaf teas and I love teas.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
I'm a big tea drinker.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
And even making like, for example, iced teas. I know
you're not big into iced tea, no, but I love
iced tea. Yeah, I'm a big iced tea girl. So
just like making my own iced tea at home. I
really want to try this summer and it's just such
a summery thing to do.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Oh my god, one hundred percent. I definitely think you
should try that.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Also, me and Kaylee kind of talked about this, but
like we've been really into refreshers for the summer, so
making at home refreshers. And this doesn't even have to
be like, you know, strictly in the morning, but like
maybe something in the afternoon that we can make the afternoon.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Yeah, like the afternoon because it kind of like changes
up from the water because I kind of get sick
and tired of the taste of water by two o'clock.
I'm like, Okay, what else did I drink?

Speaker 2 (35:45):
What's something different that we can have? Yeah, So I
think that is something else that I want to try
for the month of June. I think this is honestly
going to be my hardest school because I love coffee.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Yeah, it is going to be hard.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
I mean, maybe I'll try to do the decaf coffee.
But there's just like specific pods. I love the espresso pods.
There's specific pods that they don't make decaf and it's
so unfortunate, Like.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
You should try the Malosio decaf. Oh they have one
decaf Okay, And I find out really good and I
find it hard to actually like distinguish like the taste. Oh.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
I honestly I never tasted the difference. Yeah, I think
it was more so like I said, just like the
flavor of pods. Like, yeah, I kind of just wanted.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Those, but also, like, let's be honest, like, sometimes like
I feel like, especially because I've been waking up earlier,
you do feel a bit of a crash, and you
like having the caffeine does kind of help. So I mean, yeah,
I think.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Maybe it's not something that once again, all these things
are not things I want to cut out at all,
Like even when I was mentioning, like talking about chips
and things like that, it's a little lot of randies.
It's it's not that I want to completely cut it
out of my lifestyle. It's just that I'm trying to
limit it for myself. Yeah, and so you know, maybe

(36:59):
instead of having a coffee five days a week, I
only do three days a week.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
And you know what, I have heard people say that
the less caffeine that they do drink, eventually your body
does like realize that they don't need to rely on it,
and then your energy actually is high all the time,
and it is like, so, I mean there is benefits
to completely like, oh yeah, I'm jutting it out as
much as you can. So I definitely think trying decaf
would be a really good option. All right, let's talk
about romanticizing our lives and just romanticizing adulthood, because we

(37:26):
kind of already touched on this and a few of
the points we talked about for our goals for June,
but we really do just want to romanticize the shit
out of our life. Everything we do, our Sunday routine,
our morning routines, our day to day life. Like there's
so much that you could just be present in the
moment for certain things. And like one thing that we

(37:47):
talked about was walks, like going on your walks. Yes,
I feel like sometimes people go on walks to see
it as like a stress reliever, but they're also sometimes
overthinking about your moment, you know what I mean. Like,
let's say you're getting work done and you just received
all this overload of work and you go on this
walk thinking that, Okay, this is going to be a
good break to get away from the computer. But when
you're on that walk, you're too busy constantly thinking of

(38:08):
those stressful moments. You have to remember that when you're
on a walk, you need to be fully present in
that walk by completely creating the distraction of focusing on
what is happening in that current moment. So really taken
the nature. Really like distract yourself maybe by listening to
a podcast that could be like really inspiring, or listening
to your favorite artists, like a favorite album that you

(38:29):
want to listen to right now, Like really just create
that difference by like, Okay, when you're stepping aside from
the computer, you're not thinking about that stress that you're
dealing with that work. You're thinking about that current moment
of enjoying that moment of being present and enjoying the
nature and enjoying the movement that you're getting in for
the day.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
And I think also too, that it doesn't just have
to be like when you're on a walk just like
thinking about like everyday activities that you're doing. I really
do think that being present in the moment will allow
you to kind of like romanticize your life in a
way because you're not in your head overthinking about, Okay,

(39:09):
what do I have to get done for the day?
Oh my god, I have this, this and this to
do yeah, versus just like in that moment, the only
thing you're worried about is what you're doing in that moment. Yeah,
and you kind of just like, I don't know, I
just feel like it's a different feeling, and it's a
good feeling, and you know, I think it's just a
way that you can, yeah, romanticize your life and feel

(39:32):
feel good.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
Yeah. I think it also kind of like goes into
like that slow lifestyle when it comes to just like
living that life that you see in the movies.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
I don't know, I really it's like I don't want
to feel like I'm in the movie. Yeah, I'm the
main character, and I feel like what goes with that
is just like being present in every moment of your life.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
We need to talk about the music video for a second,
because if you think about the music videos that you
used to watch, if you're like us, like like the
two thousand is era, like Jojo, Like all I could
think about is me in the backseat of my parents' car,
like looking at the rain, yeah, going yeah, going on
a road trip and like looking outside, looking at the rain,

(40:13):
and just like listening to Jojo and like think that
I'm the main character, Like, yeah, this is my life
and I'm just like envisioning like my future and all that.
And then we actually watched the Hillary Duff music video
of was It Let the Rain Fall Down?

Speaker 2 (40:27):
That song it's called come clean.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Clean.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Like she's literally like sitting in her living room like
it's raining, and she's like romanticizing her night of like
having a storm in her house. And I'm like, this
is just so like it's just so funny to be
how like because we see that as Yeah, I mean,
let's bring that back. Oh my god, And that's the
way to romanticize your life hundred percent. I think just also,

(40:52):
like doing those little things just really makes you realize
like how exciting life can be by like really just
enjoying the moment of these little things. And like we
talked about doing a mask on a Sunday, Like you
could just have an average Sunday and do nothing, or
you could put on a face mask, put on a
cute robe, do a little self care for yourself, make
some pancakes. Like think about how you would see a

(41:14):
Sunday in a movie. That's how I would picture it.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
Here my night last night.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
You're gonna love this, okay.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I literally or two nights ago, I was getting my
grad pictures taken, so I wanted my skin to look good.
I was sitting in bed, I had my lemon water.
I put on my diffuser, put some essential oil in
my diffuser, put on the sheet mask while watching Keeping
Up with the Kardashians. That was my night. And I
was like, this is literally me romanticizing my life because

(41:41):
I'm just like I was just loving it. Like I
was like, I feel so good.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
I love nights like that, Like I'll do my red
light therapy mask, my favorite TV show. I will scroll
through Pinterest having my tea. Yeah, lighting a candle like
that right tonight. Yeah. The candle also makes like a
huge difference just by like doing those little things that
just makes rooms spray. Oh love it, spray it everywhere.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
I think by morning routine is like a really good
example of also just like really trying to romanticize things.
Because I make my bed every single morning. I put
on a cute PJ set. I like I stay at home.
I don't even leave, you know, my house, But like
I truly make sure that everything I'm doing in the
morning is things for myself that I feel makes me
feel good and it makes me feel put together. That's

(42:25):
why I always say, like, oh, I put a bit
of makeup on, like even though I'm not leaving the house,
like it makes me feel good, and I feel more
confident in myself by putting on a cute outfit on,
putting on a cute rub Like, those little things truly
do make a big difference in your mindset and how
you're feeling. And yeah, I think like doing those things
just makes you feel more productive.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
As well and more Yeah, like why do I feel
like I get so much more done if I have
like a cute set on, yeah, or like a cute
outfit and I have my makeup on?

Speaker 1 (42:52):
And why do we feel so motivated when we get
a new workout set in or we get a new
PJ set, like you want to wear it and you're like, oh, like,
I don't know, Like you just feel motivated to do.
It's just a different feeling it will say. It's almost
like adrenaline that just like goes into our body. It's
just like, oh my god, like, let's just be productive
today because I got a new workout set, Like I can't.
I'm sure you guys get the feeling obviously, but there's

(43:12):
just some type of adrenaline or just like rush that
you feel that gets you excited and like makes you
want to just romanticize everything. I agree, I think this
also plays into just the overall aesthetics of your life. Like,
let's be honest, people fall for aesthetic things, like I'm
a sucker.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
We're all victims.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Like my house, I try and make aesthetic, Like everything
I wear, I try and make aesthetic like I I
fall for it every single time. But I like, literally, yesterday,
my sister went to anthropology and she saw these really
cute bowls and she immediately thought of me. She's like,
I feel like you would want this, and I'm like, yep.
Romanticizing my yogurt buls in the morning, get me that
yellow one, get me that blue one, like makes me

(43:51):
feel just more put together and just more motivated. And
I don't know, it just it's little excitements that you
just feel when you have aesthetic things.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
And I agree, it's just a feeling that can be
I got like a cute lemon iced, like a cute
glass coffee and it had like little lemons on it.
And what a way to romanticize my morning coffee.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Yeah, and even like cute water bottles. I feel like
we always fall for getting a cute water bottle, but
it makes us drink more water. So at the end
of the day, like we're getting to be like get
a goal.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
Done, for example, like to motivate yourself to journal, like
get an aesthetic pen, and like a cute.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Little get a cute journal, cute cute planner. Like everything
is truly around the aesthetics of things, and I think
that's why people feel motivated to buy things as well, right,
Like everything you see that brands are promoting, like usually
it's aesthetic and that's the reason why you're buying it.
But I think it's important to sometimes invest in those
little things because it do makes a difference in your
day day lifestyle and makes you feel motivated too actually

(44:50):
get those.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Things to actually do it, you can do it exactly.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
I think the last thing when it comes to romanticizing
your life too is thinking about like your solo time.
So yeah, really just like romanticizing your solo dates. So
you know, whether it's a day to yourself and you're
getting out, like you don't have to just sit at
home and do nothing, Like you can get out of
the house. You can go buy yourself a coffee, maybe
go to a bookstore and like look through books or

(45:13):
go Like why is it.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
That when I go to a bookstore, I feel like
I'm like romanticizing the shit out of my life. Yeah,
just like looking at books, looking at decore coffee table books,
like just browt like it is about a bookstore, maybe
because it's like always in the movies getting a coffee. Yeah, bookstore,
Like there is just something that hits different. Yeah with
a bookstore, I will say one hundred percent agree. Like

(45:37):
I feel like also just like taking yourself on solo dates,
like just going shopping or going to get a facial
or going to get a massage, like you feel like nails,
getting your nails done exactly. Like you're really just.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
Like romanticizing the perfect solo day. And I think it
just like makes you realize that, like you are the
person that determines what you want to do with your life.
Like if there's a day where you're like feeling down
and you're you did that to yourself, Like you're down
for a specific reason, So you're going to take action
and actually create a positive day out of it by
doing things that actually bring you joy. So if you

(46:11):
want to have a good, fun solo day, you can
make that happen if you put your mindset to it.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
I actually the effort I saw this quote, and I
wish I could remember the quote. Maybe we can post
it on the Hawker Energy Instagram we find it, or
if I find it. But it was literally about, instead
of worrying about things you can't control, do the things
you can control. I love that. Isn't that so cute?
Like it was just such an inspiring quote because it's

(46:39):
so true. We spend more time worrying about things that
are completely out of our control. I'm definitely somebody who
does this all the time, huge overthinker. So I spend
all this time worrying about things that are completely out
of my control instead of just spending the time doing
the things I can control, myself feel better.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
I mean, this has nothing to do with the quote,
but like this morning, a bird attacked me. But like
that could have ruined my entire day. But did I
let it happen? No, I completely. It was out of
my control, and I was like, I'm not going to
worry about it. I'm going to move on with my day.
So that's how I started by morning. But oh and
then oh my one of my bulls was cracked. True

(47:21):
did I let it ruin my day? I moved on
with my day and I forgot about it, and I thought,
we're gonna have a good day today. We're gonna put
that in the past and focus on the current president
movement towards what you cann It's very bad examples, but
that's just because examples, some little examples. But it just
was like, you know what, these things happened to me today,

(47:42):
Like I could have made this a bad day because
I started off with those two things, but I turned
it into a good day by you know, not worrying
about it. So anyways, I thought it would just tie
that into the conversations. It seemed relevant to what happened today.
But anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. We
actually talked for a really long time. We can probably
talk longer, to be honest, but we love you guys

(48:02):
