Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
a new mindset, and another day for you to become
the Hawtrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
Happy Wednesday. It has been a while since I've recorded.
The last episode I recorded was the episode with Zach

(00:36):
for our Weddings Dues and don't when it comes to
just kind of like wedding regrets, things that we loved
about our wedding, things that we didn't like, all that.
But we did have a bit of a glitch with
Apple Podcasts. So last week I was honestly putting so
much energy towards contacting Apple support and just trying to
figure out how to get the episode live on Apple Podcasts.

(00:57):
Some of you actually messaged me asking if I was
only going to be on Spotify moving forward. Like you
guys were just confused as to why the episode was
only uploaded on there but nowhere else. So just know
that there was technically a glitch in the uploading process
and I had to do anyways, all this background work
last week to get it up. So we're back up
and running this week. So I apologize for no episode

(01:19):
last week, but we are back today with some very
exciting news that I'm sure you guys have heard me
talk about a few times, but Zach and I actually
did end up buying a house last week. We are
so beyond happy and so beyond excited for this new chapter.
This was definitely part of my five year plan was

(01:39):
to find our family house, just like upsizing to a
bigger home. And literally, guys, this house is literally everything
I wanted and more. It is absolutely beautiful. My sister
loves it, my parents love it, Zach loves it.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Like everyone walked through it and just honestly had the
same reaction as me, which was just like, you know,
how nice the house was and how beautiful it was,
and how they thought it was the perfect house for us,
perfect size for us, and we just couldn't turn it down.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
So it was truly, yeah, the.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
House of our dreams, and we're very, very excited to
spend this next year just designing the house, taking you
guys along with me. So if you guys don't follow
me on Instagram or TikTok or YouTube. Definitely make sure
to follow me now because it's going to be such
a fun journey of just taking guys through the whole
process of designing it. And I'm just so so excited
for this next chapter. I will quickly just run down

(02:32):
how I feel like I manifested this house, and I
want to bring it up here on the podcast just
because the whole manifestation thing I truly believe in, and
I know some people don't believe in it, but this
story that I'm about to tell you guys is like
truly manifestation in my opinion, Like I do kind of
think it worked out in that way. So basically what

(02:52):
happened was that this house that we wanted, we originally
were looking at different houses.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
We've been looking since June.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Just kind of looking through different models, and we just
really didn't find anything that you know, we loved. Like,
we walked through a few homes and we were kind
of like, yeah, it's nice, but not the house that
we want or the house that we did like would
be way over our price point and anyways, just like
wasn't really working out. So we decided to contact our
mortgage broker and ask her what we could actually afford,
and she gave us a ballpark of what pricing we

(03:22):
could look at, and it was actually a lot more
than we anticipated.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
So then we.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Started to look at bigger houses with a higher price point,
hoping that we could find something within that budget. So
when I started looking at the builders, I found one
that I really really liked, and then I started looking
at the bigger homes and I found one specific model
that I was obsessed with, and one thing that I
realized throughout, like looking throughout the house process journey, was

(03:48):
I found out that I really liked the high ceilings.
So I was purposely looking at floor plans with either
open to above ceilings meaning that you could see to
the second level, or just high ceilings in general about
the entire house. So then we decided to go to
the development and see if someone else was building that house,
and we found out that there was someone building that
exact same house that I was interested in. We were

(04:10):
looking in the windows and guys, literally everything about it
was perfection. I was like, this is the house, Like,
it's got the big size windows, it's got great lighting,
it's got you know, high ceilings, like just everything that
I wanted. So when we went to the sales agent
for the home builder. She was like, oh, like, unfortunately
that house that you guys are interested in, like, we
don't have a lot to offer you because the one

(04:32):
lot that was recently available has actually been reserved by
another couple. I was disappointed. I thought, oh my god,
like I thought this was it. I thought this was
the sign. I thought this was the house. And just
was like really really upset. And so basically she came
back to us and she was like, listen, there's still
hope that the couple might fall through, but the next
available lot, if this couple decides to press forward with it,

(04:52):
isn't going to be until fall of twenty twenty six,
which means we wouldn't be moving in till fall of
twenty twenty seven because these new builds typically take a
full year for it to be fully ready. I really
did not want to wait two years to move into
our house. So I immediately was like, Okay, well, if
we don't get this lot and this couple doesn't follow
like fallow out of the deal, then we need to

(05:13):
look at a different builder and press board with something else.
So anyways, a few days goes by and it's our
anniversary August eighth, and if you guys didn't know, eight
eight is actually one of the luckiest days of the year.
And I'm on manifestation TikTok okay, everyone's telling me that
it's like the luckiestay of the year. If you're going
to put something into your power and your energy, then
you should really like just talk about positive self talk,

(05:36):
telling yourself that you are going to get the house,
the house that you always wanted, like just kind of
like talking to yourself and being really positive about the situation,
you know, writing down that you know, like in present tent,
saying that like you you are going to live in
that dream house that you want, Like it's going to happen.
Just trust that good things come to you. So basically
I was just like really just trying to manifest it
throughout the entire weekend. Then a few days goes by

(05:59):
and I'm like, Okay, contact my realistic agent.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
I'm like, maybe we should reach out to a custom.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Home builder and see if we can build the exact
same house that I loved, but in a different area.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
And she's like, y, yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
So we had this meeting with this custom home builder
it goes good, but obviously I'm still upset about the
whole situation. And then my real estate agent calls me
three hours later after that meeting. Me not thinking anything
of the other house, I'm thinking, Okay, it must be
about this custom home builder, and she's like, Kaylie, you're
never gonna believe it. The couple that reserved that lot
ended up backing out of the signing, and you guys

(06:30):
are the next couple to reserve this lot. If you
guys want it, you can reserve it, and within the
next hour, you guys can sign and have this house
to yourself. So we were literally shocked to our core
because usually when there's a signing agreement, it means that
you don't typically like get the house. So the fact
that the couple fell through on the signing is literally
a complete shock to us. So we immediately reserved the lot,

(06:53):
we did the signing, we put the deposit down in everything,
and now we officially have the house. But I truly
do think that luck played in our favor because I
really did not think we were going to get it,
And my real estate agent was like, you have no
idea how uncommon it is for people to back out
of a deal really last minutely, Like She's like, honestly,
this was pure luck. So I am like so beyond

(07:14):
happy that it worked out. And yeah, I'm just super
excited about this new chapter.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
And again, if.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
You guys want to follow along, you guys can follow
on my socials of taking guys through our whole journey.
So let's get into today's episode. I do have my
sister here. We are doing another sip and spill episode.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Hello, she's back.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
We do need to address some comments though, because yeah,
we do have a few people that have mentioned a
few things. I didn't even know that you could comment
on Spotify. Okay, this has been a whole new thing
for me. There's been a lot of positive comments and
a lot of like a lot more positive comments than negative,
to be honest, But I have seen a few comments
about just the sister episode, specifically about the mic being

(07:59):
I don't know an issue and how you guys want
us to get a second mic because I sound really
loud and then Madison sounds really quiet. Yeah it is
because we only have one mic. So I just want
to make that clear that I'm a little bit closer
than Madison. Is just the way our seating arrangement is.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, we've tried this time to kind of put it
right in between us, but typically, you know, when trying
to talk into one mic, it is difficult because there's
always one person that's kind of closer than the other. Yeah,
so we're really trying to make an effort for this
episode to both be closed so that you know, you
can hear us both equally.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, and we will take your advice on getting another
mic for future reference, because I do actually really enjoy
having Madison a part of the episodes, and I think
you guys really like it too, just kind of getting
both of our opinions on things, and it might be
like a monthly thing or you know, every few weeks,
she'll join in on an episode just to kind of, yeah,
have a little bit of a sister chat, because I
obviously enjoy having her part of the conversation.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
And it's not always just me talking. So that we.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Wanted to address and also just address about how sometimes
you guys think I'm talking over Madison, but sometimes it's
also just the way we're editing the podcast.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yeah. Yeah, Typically, like you know, I'll normally edit Kaylee's
podcast for her and there's certain points, you know, where
I'm still getting comfortable with talking on a podcast like
this is all still very new to me and Kaylie's
been doing it for a while. So certain points, you know,

(09:30):
I'll lose track of what I'm saying and Kaylee will
chime in to add to it, and so when we
make the edits, it may seem like she's, I don't know,
interrupting me. Yeah, so yeah, we just also wanted to
kind of address these as well, because you know, it's
in no way her, you know, cutting me off or
anything like that. It's just kind of sometimes when when

(09:51):
we edit the episode, it may appear that way. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
So anyways, and obviously we're trying to make it a conversation,
and maybe that's also something that I could work on
as just like making it seem.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
That I'm not interrupting you.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
I think it's I don't know, it's just kind of
like the conversation we have within a podcast. I guess
you guys might perceive it that way, but it also
could just be the way we're editing the podcast.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
I feel like also too, I'm sure a lot of
people who have sisters will understand, but like Kaylie will
finish my sentences. I'll finish her sentence. All the time.
We have this like sister, like what's it called telepathy,
Like we can like read each other's minds a lot
of the time. So it's not like we're ever thinking like, oh,

(10:31):
we're interrupting each other, Like maybe it is perceived that
way from other people, but like we're never feeling that
way because like I know what she's trying to say,
she knows what I'm trying to say. We just like
finish each other's.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Sentences literally all the time, literally all the time. So anyways,
we apologize for that, but we saw your messages and
we will try and work on the one person louder
than the other by getting a second mic along with
maybe just yes, trying to maybe not edit it in
a scene where like it seems like getting off or
also just if I am, I'll work on you know,

(11:04):
just like letting Madison finish your sentences. But again, this
is like not rude or intentional at all, like whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
No, if anything.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Sometimes Madison gives me a look and she's like, okay,
finish my sentence. I don't know what I'm saying exactly,
So anyways, you just don't really know the full context
of the situation.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Also, not having like a video along with it's kind
of hard to see like you might be able to
tell with a video from like body language or you know,
just whatever the case may be, that you know she
is finishing my sentence or whatever.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
So yeah, so anyways, we just want to address that
before we get into today's episode, but we are going
to work on that. And yeah, so for today's episode,
we kind of based it off of a TikTok trend
called fill your Own Cups. So essentially what it means
is that it's all about things that kind of just
like make you feel like you're doing these things for

(11:59):
yourself and no one else else, Like these are things
that truly make you happy and make you feel really
good and just what brings out the best in you.
And with it being the really busy time of the year,
I feel like end of August is typically when people
are starting to get ready to go back to school
or you know, maybe you took a lot of time
off in the summer for work, and you know, I
feel like September is just the month where everyone kind

(12:20):
of puts their energy back into work or into school.
It could also just be like transitioning to like a
new career. You know, some people take the summer off
and then they get a new job in September. I
just feel like September is kind of like a fresh
start in a way.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Or maybe you're moving to a new city, or like
you just signed a new lease, like you're moving out
of your parents' home into your first big apartment. Like
leases typically start in September as well, especially if you're
going to college or you know, exactly, yeah, exactly, that's
a great like moving into res like everything could just
feel just like a lot busier with you know, getting

(12:58):
to this busy time of the year. So we just
wanted to talk about like little things for you to
remember going into this busy time of the year that
really just fill your own cup and just like I
don't know, make you feel like you're doing things for
yourself and brings out the happiness in you even when
you are going through a stressful period or a busy
time of year, or like a big transition whatever it is,

(13:20):
and just about doing things like Kayleie mentioned for you
and no one else.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
So we kind of are going to go back and
forth on ideas that we both had when it comes
to things that fill up our own cup. So my
idea for this of things that fill my cup is
my morning rituals. So I personally find when I'm consistent
with my routine in the mornings, like going on my walk, journaling,
you know, eating a healthy breakfast, you know, meditating, reading,

(13:48):
whatever the case may be. Like when I actually put
a lot of energy into these rituals in the morning
and I do it consistently throughout the week, that's when
I feel my absolute best, Like I know I'm going
to have a good day because I feel like my
structure of my routine is good. I feel like I've
set myself up for success of the day, knowing that
I got all these things done, like doing my skincare,

(14:08):
having my shower, like you know what I mean. Like
those little things just make me feel really good before
starting my day out. And on the days where I
feel like I might be in a funk or I
might just feel off, it's usually because I didn't do
any of my morning rituals.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
It's usually because.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
I didn't have any type of consistent routine in the morning,
and then my entire day just feels completely off. So
I personally feel like taking the time of waking up
earlier and doing those little things that make me feel
good really does set myself up for success. And I
feel like you could add onto this too, because I
feel like you've actually recently created a morning routine for yourself.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yeah, so I've been trying to make like almost like
a new morning routine for myself where I'm trying to
wake up earlier, I'm trying to work out in the morning.
I've started adding new habits like journaling. I've started reading
outside every morning, which has been like really really nice.
But I've definitely noticed a difference, Like, for example, i

(15:05):
feel like yesterday I felt very off and I didn't
do a workout in the morning, whereas today, woke up
at seven am, did a little morning workout and I've
felt so good. And it's just crazy how much of
a difference it makes, Like now, for example, seeing how
much of a difference it's made in the way I

(15:25):
feel today versus how I felt yesterday. I'm definitely gonna
be implementing moving my body in any type of way
every single day, whether that's going to a workout class
or running in the trails, Like I definitely want to
incorporate that, and I really do feel like without like
Kaylee said, that morning ritual, doing those things in the morning,

(15:48):
you really feel off and it just sets the tone
for your whole day.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
One hundred percent. I think fresh air is so key
in the morning, like getting that morning sunlight in the summer,
Oh my goodness, Vitamin D man, No, it's so important.
It's literally curing my mental health. Like just standing in
the sun for like ten minutes. Yeah, the sun is
my therapy.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
No, it actually is, Like I'm not even over exaggerating.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
I will go outside in my backyard and just literally
stand there doing absolutely nothing, just absorbing the sun, and I'm.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Like, wow, I feel like a new human. I'm not
even kidding.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Like even think about when you know, in the winter,
when you go on a warm, sunny vacation, like you know,
to Mexico or Putaicana, like somewhere warm, and do you
not just like that feeling of just like being in
the sun again and you're like I'm alive again.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Yeah, you just like.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
The sadness everything.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Just goes like I just like woke up from a nightmare.
Like yeah, it's so true, it's like feeling like nothing
hits different than the feeling of going from like depressing
weather to just sunshine, like just stepping off the plane,
that instant feeling.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I don't know if this is like a Canadian feeling. Yeah,
but well no, there is some states that actually, like
Colorado like places that gets so I guess, oh yeah,
New York.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yes, that's a good point too.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
So people who live in California, I feel like, you
know there, Yeah, they get nice weather all the time,
which I'm sure you guys have like maybe rainy periods
where it gets hard when it's like super gloomy or whatever.
But the Canadian girlies and the girls in the States
that have those really bad winters with the snow, you
guys totally get what we're trying to say when it
comes to just like being in that depressive weather for

(17:23):
such a long period of time and then taking that
one week of going away to the sunshine and the
beach and it's just, oh my god, the sun is
very much.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
It's therapy. Yeah, it's literally free therapy. January February, that's
the time to go. Okay, So I'd say the next
thing that we can add that I think both me
and Kaylee can say phills our own cup would be
doing weekly coffee runs, which me and Kayley do together
pretty much every single week, which is whether we go

(17:56):
to like a Starbucks or our favorite coffee show. I
know Kaylee's mentioned probably honey on Here quite a few times,
which is one of our favorite coffee shops. Also including friends.
Like I said, me and Kaylee will go together or
after a workout class with some of our friends will
go get a protein smoothie together. And I really feel

(18:17):
like making it a priority every single week to go
for that little coffee run. I don't know, it's just
something I look forward to, Like I definitely look forward
to every single week the one day I choose where
I'm gonna go get a little Starbucks treat for myself,
like and it just puts me in the best mood
for the day because I'm like, oh, like I have
this little treat for myself. Yeah and yeah, I feel

(18:40):
like it just you know, adds to filling my own cup.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
And I think also just like being able to treat
yourself like once a week, right, Like I know some
people that will order from Starbucks or from a coffee
shop every single day, and then at that point it's
such a routine that it doesn't feel special, right, But
when you do it once a week, and as Madison said,
like bringing your friend involved and getting that involved, like
it makes you look forward to it ten times more.

(19:04):
The excitement around it of just getting your favorite coffee
that just you know, tastes a little bit better than
your coffee at home, and like just something that you
can look forward to is more exciting in that sense.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Yeah. I also love getting like a little mid day
refresher instead of just a coffee, especially from Starbucks. And
there's something about a refresher I find in the summer,
a refresher just hits different. Yeah, and then in the fall,
like just like anything. Pumpkins at Starbucks one hundred percent.

(19:35):
Oh my god, I just I can't even explain that feeling,
like if you're having a bad day, that is the key,
it is.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
It really is, Like all I can think about right.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Now is September and going to get my first pumpkin
drink from Starbucks.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Oh it's end of August.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Well, yeah, it comes out August twenty six, I think,
or twenty fifth.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
I will be at Starbucks. Yeah, it's twenty six.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Well, I'll be on my trip, so I don't know
if there'll be a Starbucks near me, but I will
be getting one. As soon as I'm in the vicinity
of a Starbucks, I will.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Be getting I'll be going to the grocery store and
buying pumpkin pure yes, pure yeah, pure, yeah, pumpkin pure,
pumpkin spice seasoning.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Also to add on to this is just making your
at home coffee. I feel like this is also kind
of like part of the morning ritual. But like I
find comfort in making my at home coffee. Even though
it's not like you know, a Starbucks coffee or like
my favorite coffee shop like or from my favorite coffee shop,
It's still like there is that comfort in you're at

(20:36):
home coffee because it's something that you're used to. And
I don't know, even if I'm like not craving a coffee,
it just feels weird not having my morning coffee at home,
Like I feel like it's part of my morning ritual.
Like usually I'll have a coffee around ten maybe ten
thirty am, and I'm just like I just get excited,
like I'll be doing work in the morning on my

(20:57):
laptop and I'm like time to make my coffee. Yeah,
and even just like the process of making the coffee,
like I don't know what it is, just like watching
the coffee brew, the smell, like, oh no, there's just
the whole process, and just like I just look forward
to it. I don't know if anybody else in this way,
but like I find so much comfort in all of that.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
I find it very satisfying.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Like just seeing the espresso shot being brewed and seeing
my honey melt in the shot, like that is literally
the most satisfying thing. I get a smell like oh,
like it's just it's something that can be described. But
also for people who love macha, like it's the same thing, right,
like whisking the macha and like getting the milk and everything.
Like I'm sure if you're not a coffee drinker, like

(21:40):
it's the same thing. Of Like just the process of
making a macha is so therapeutic, right, Like you get
excited about that little thing in the morning that brings
you so much joy, whether it's your cup of coffee
or your macha or your even your tea, whatever it is.
I just feel like, as you said, like it is
technically part of a morning ritual, but like the satisfaction
that you do at home of making your own coffee,

(22:03):
there is some comfort.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
In that even when I go on a trip, like
I don't just miss the taste of my at home coffee,
I miss the process of making my home coffee.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
It's also, yeah, just the routine of making it is
exciting and fun, like when you go to a you know,
a restaurant or a coffee shop and you're like, oh, yeah,
all just take this order and like you're just waiting
for it to come to you. Like I don't know,
it's like, okay, cool, it tastes good, love it, whatever,
But the whole process of making.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
It, it's almost like I guess if.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
You love for yeah, I guess if you like love
baking too, or like cooking, it's kind of like the
same thing, very similar. It's a form I would say,
it's a form of therapy in a way I don't know,
like actually like physically doing it and the excitement around
making it. That's actually one thing that I really enjoy
is just making my coffee in general, and it does
always turn out pretty good.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
The next one that we both.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Agree on when it comes to filling your own cup
is wearing cute outfits, so making the effort of just
feeling really put together. Whether it's you know, just a
cute outfit that you've recently just or it could be
putting on a matching workout set or matching PJ set.
There's something about just like making yourself feel more put
together when you actually put the effort of dressing cute.

(23:11):
I feel like I've really changed my fashion sense as
well as I age. I feel like as I get older,
I've started to kind of like more like I don't know,
modest fashion versus like yeah, prop tops, and I don't know,
like obviously the occasional time I will wear that, and
obviously with my workout sets, I'm wearing a sports braun
and likes, but I don't know, Like I feel like
I'm going down a different direction as I age, and

(23:31):
I like that, Like I'm happy that I'm kind of
changing it up and wearing something a bit different and like.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I don't know, I could be wrong, but I feel
like fall fashion this year is going to be so
different than how it normally is. Like I feel like
it's usually very like cozy vibes and not saying it
like won't be that way, but I feel like I'm
excited to see what people do in the sense of
like kind of making it more like you said, maybe

(23:59):
more modest or like kind of like preppy in a way.
Like I don't know how to explain it, but I
feel like I'm excited for fall fashion. This.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Oh, I am so excited for fall fashion. I think
fall fashion is actually my favorite time to shop. I
feel like the summer, I usually just like throw in
a summer dress or you know, jean shorts and a
tank chop. Like I feel like I'm very simple in
the summer, just because it's so hot out.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Yeah, But in the.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Fall, I feel like there's so much more like opportunities
to like really style different things like cardigans and blazers
and trench coats, and you know, there's just like I
don't know, there's so much more.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
So is like I feel like the one season where
like you know, you have at the beginning of fall
where it's really really hot and then it like slowly
gets colder and colder, so you have the option to
like add a coat or a sweater, and you know,
you could even do like I've seen people do like
mini skirts but with a sweater, like you know, it's

(24:52):
it's kind of like the one season I'd say fall
and Spring maybe as well, where you can kind of.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Like do a lot with it, agree with you.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
And then also, as I said, just like having a
matching workout set or a PJ set, like I feel
like when the set matches, I feel more put together.
Like if I'm wearing like a green sports bra with
I don't know, like black leggings, sometimes I'm like, why.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Did I pick this outfit?

Speaker 4 (25:19):
Like it's not giving, it's not giving what I at me.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Like, yeah, I'm uncomfortable. I'm not wearing a matching set
like everybody else in the room.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I do think there is something that just feels good
about wearing a matching set, even pj's. Like if I
just wear like a baggy shirt and like I don't know,
like weird, yeah, weird shorts or something like old shorts,
I feel kind of gross, like I truly do. But
when I wear like a matching PJ set with like

(25:49):
whether it's a Victoria's Secret or whatever, like airy like
matching top, matching bottoms, I just like wake up and
I feel more put together, Like I.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Just don't feel I know, it's just a different feeling. Yeah,
exactly what you mean.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
But I'm sure if you guys do the same, I'm
sure you guys get what I'm talking about. But there's
definitely some comfort in that as well.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
So I'd say the next thing that fills my cup
would be spending a lot of time with friends and family.
I feel like it's so important, especially if you are
going through like a big transition or things are you know,
hard right now, or it's a busy time, Like, it's

(26:29):
definitely nice to surround yourself with people who love you
and who just kind of bring the best in you.
And so I always like to make that a priority
every single week to make plans with my friends and
spend time with my family. So one thing that me
and Kaylee do with our parents and Zach as well

(26:49):
is having weekly dinners. We always do dinner on Sunday,
and it's nice in the summertime because we get to
sit outside. So I definitely look forward to that every
single week. When Kaylee and Zach come over with Freddy,
it's just like the highlight of my week.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
It's just chaos.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Yeah, it's dogs, it's chaos, a lot of dogs, a
lot of people. But I definitely look forward to it.
And sometimes we'll also go to Kaylee's and there's just
a lot of comfort in that. Just like taking the
quality time to be together. Yeah, I just definitely find
that fills my cup.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
I also find, you know, especially with like it being
a very busy time. Even if it's like I can't
have like a exactly like a hangout with a friend,
I'll usually try to make plans to like go on
a walk with a friend. You know, one of my
best friends, she works from home, and so we'll always

(27:45):
make a plan every single week to go on a
walk during her lunch break or something like that. Or
we'll try to fit it into each of our schedules,
whether that's like before work or after work, or I'll
go to a workout class with a friend, like whatever.
It is making that a priority every single week, just
to spend time.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
With But do you realize how like as we age,
that is the new norm. It is like it's not
about going shopping together, it's not about like doing a
I don't even know, a cute fall date together, like
It's literally about doing things that are like a part
of your own routine, like that you exactly that you
include someone else in. So a walk, obviously, I want

(28:26):
to try and get a walk in every day, So
texting a friend and asking them to join you at
least you're still doing something in your rootine that fills
your cup and you're including your friends.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, And I feel like.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
It's very rare nowadays to just kind of like have
like a hangout.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
I guess, yeah, Yeah, it's harder. It's definitely harder as
you age, and like everyone has busy lives, and I
feel like if you're struggling right now to like make
plans with friends or anything like that, definitely try it
and include them in things that you do currently, whether
it's workout, classes, going on walks, weekly coffee dates, literally
anything like that is the best way to do it

(29:01):
is just like include family or friends into that.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
And if you do have the time, definitely trying to
make plans to maybe go out for dinner. You know,
That's something I always look forward to every now and then,
is just going out to dinner with friends or even
having like a night in where you know, you watch
the bachelor or something together. Oh yeah, a cute little
girls night.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Like the summer I turn pretty like a summer for
all time.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Like there's so much you can do, like carving pumpkins together,
just having like a Halloween movie night. Like there's there's
so much you can do, and I feel like prioritizing
that maybe not on like a weekly basis, but like
whenever you can. I did feel like definitely fills my cup.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Yeah, as Madison said, there's something about the family dinners
I feel like also just fills my own cup too,
I think, I don't know, as I said, like I
feel like as we get older too, like you just
realize the importance of family and how much it actually
means to you. Yeah, and just being able to, like
I don't know, also do it for your parents. I
know that's kind of sounds crazy, but like sometimes I

(30:04):
just like think about my parents getting older and it
like makes me so sad, and it just makes you
realize Like obviously I'm not a parent yet, but I
feel like when I do have a kid, I think
I'm going to see them in a different light completely
in the sense where it's like, you know, caring for
my kids so much that, Like it just shows how
like our parents care for us so much that it's

(30:24):
like they want to spend all this time with us
all the time.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
And you know, I obviously still live at home, but
Kaylee's moved out with Zach. Like think about when your
kids reach that age where they do, Like, think about
your own kids when they reach that age to go
move out. Yeah, Like it's just, yeah, it's it's definitely
sad to think about. And sometimes I can't even imagine,
you know, how hard it is to watch that happen

(30:48):
and having to just like let your kid kind of
do their own thing.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
And yeah, sometimes like Dad will randomly like just say like, oh,
like I miss you, like you should call me more this,
And then I'm like, oh, I feel like such a
daughter for like not doing that, you.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
And then it's like, Okay, I got to make the effort.
I got to go see me.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Like, you know, my dad loves to golf for all
pretty you know, I wouldn't say big golfers, but we
all golf, and so we'll try to make that a priority.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
But yeah, just doing those like little things that like
our dad enjoys and all that.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
I just feel like the importance of family becomes such
an more important thing as you get older.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yeah, or also to going to like a workout class
with our mom.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Like, yes, that's actually something new we've done. We've actually
got my mom hooked on the oxygen classes, So my
mom has actually been coming with us, and I think
she's been really enjoying that time with us. And yeah,
having her be a part of something that was already
a part of our routine has been like really fun
and like nice to like have her be a part
of it. And I think she like really enjoys the

(31:47):
mother daughter time with us too.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Another thing that fills our cup is, of course, I
feel like this fills up everyone's cup is going on
a trip. So booking some time with a friend or
family or a loved one of going on a good
vacae like going on a girl's trip is always fun.
Going on a trip with your husband or your boyfriend.
It's just something to look forward to and sometimes it's

(32:12):
really nice, especially when you're going through a really busy period,
like personally for me, like Zach and I were going
on our trip in a few days and more so
Zach than me. But I feel like Zach's just had
a really busy past few weeks. And you know when
you can just tell that someone's like draining, like getting
drained in terms of like they've put so much energy
towards you know, work and all that, and I just

(32:33):
like I can tell that he just needs a break.
He works a very physical labor job, Like he's outside
in this heat for like twelve hours working his butt off,
Like I can just tell that he's so exhausted. So
for me, I just can see that, Like I feel
like he just needs this trip, you know what I mean.
Like I'm really excited to go on this trip with
him because I feel like he just needs that time off.
And I feel like a trip allows you to relax

(32:56):
for a period of time, and I feel like it
kind of like reires you in a way where like
it kind of brings your energy back when you get home,
and then I feel like you're also more motivated to
come back home to get work done. You're more inspired
to get you know, shit done. Like I just feel
like there's something about relaxing and getting away for a
bit and then coming back home of getting back into
a routine and you know, getting back into your work grind,

(33:18):
and I just feel like you almost feel like a
new person for a little bit because you're like, okay,
like I have all this motivation and energy just to
like get shit done and like get back into the
swing of things.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yeah, because it's like you look forward to like going
back to your routine at right, So then you make
it even more of a priority when you do get home, like, Okay,
I'm going to book that workout class. I'm going to
do this because that's the routine that I miss.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
And I think that's why it's so important to take
days off and take time off, because you know, when
you're doing something for such a long period of time,
it almost just kind of becomes like exhausting along with
just like you're not feeling motivated, and yeah, exactly, just
it's been it's just felt the same for too long,
where you just like you need to change scenery and
you need a change of something, right, even if it

(34:03):
is for a short period of time. So even going
on a week trip and doing something and then you know,
being away from your routine makes you realize like, Okay,
you miss it. You want to get back into it. Yeah,
you look forward to it. So I do think having
that break is good because it allows yourself to enjoy
that time away but come back even stronger and more
motivated too.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
I really do agree with you in the sense that
it is kind of like a reset button, you know,
where you're just like you're going away for a certain
period of time and then you come back, like you said,
more motivated because you've had that time to kind of relax,
reset the brain. And yeah, you really do kind of
come back a new person in a way. And I'm

(34:42):
definitely looking forward. I feel like I have a lot
of fun trips that I'm trying to plan for, like
the fall time, and.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Like we're finally booking a sister trip. Yeah, we're so excited.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Literally what I was about to say, very excited to
book a cute little fall system your trip. It's actually
on my vision board, so it's.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
So crazy and it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
I'm so excited. But yeah, definitely a little goal for
myself to book a lot of fun girls trips the
next few months and going into the new year.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Love it.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Yeah, No, we definitely are planning a fall trip and
we're so excited about it, and I think, as we said,
like booking girls trips are so important to do stuff
with your girlfriends. It doesn't always have to be with
your husband or your boyfriend. It's good to kind of
do it with other people too, because your friends are
also really important, or even family as well.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Yeah, and I feel like typically I do tend to
go on a lot of family trips, and nothing against
family trips. Love love going on a trip with my parents,
but I do feel like there's kind of just like
a different vibe when you go with your friends, and
I haven't had too many of those trips, so I'm
really trying to make that a priority for the rest

(35:53):
of this year and into the new year to really
plan some cute little girls trips. Okay, moving on to
the next kind of thing that we both find fills
our own cup would be moving our bodies. I feel
like we kind of touched on this when talking about
a morning ritual, but I feel like it's so important

(36:17):
to move your body. I really feel like moving your
body is so therapeutic, especially if you know you have
a very very busy schedule, or you're going through a
really really busy time, or just like a major life transition.
I definitely feel like making it a priority to move
your body at some point throughout the day, whether it's

(36:39):
waking up earlier or on your lunch break or right
after work, Like figure out a time that works best
for you to move your body if you can. I
know we're kind of going into the winter season, but
if you can being able to also go outside, yeah,
it feels so much better moving your body outside. But yeah,

(37:01):
just kind of taking any opportunity that you can to
move your body and be outside simultaneously. I feel like
definitely fills my cup and honestly is so therapeutic. Like,
I know so many people talk about going on long
walks without music. I've seen a lot of people talk

(37:23):
about that.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
I've actually been doing that recently, Like that's how I
go on my list. I haven't been listening to music
or a podcast. I just walked for forty five minutes
and listen to nature.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Yeah, no, I'm a little I've never done that. I'm
a little nervous to do that. Now.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
I feel like it's good. It's very very good.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
I've seen a lot of people when looking at this
fill your own cup trend, a lot of people talk
about that is like long walks without music, and I
think it's like me to try that.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
It's something within like you kind of just like you don't.
I feel like the music and the podcast just kind
of create almost busyness sometimes and I feel like, yeah,
that's thinking exactly, whereas I feel like when it's silence,
it's almost like a form of meditator where you're like
present and exactly and all all I'm listening to is
bird the birds, which is like the best sound ever.

(38:07):
All I'm listening to is birds chirping and like buzzing
noises from the bugs, and which is kind of like
we'll say, sometimes I'm like, what's in the bush?

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Like is it a wolf? Is it a rabbit? Like
some coyote?

Speaker 1 (38:19):
And sometimes I'm like, well, thank goodness, I don't have
my headphones in because what if I got a freaking
wolf following me from behind or a coyote or whatever.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
So funny you're saying this because the other day I
tried running in the trails for the first time by myself,
and I didn't make it very far. I will say
I got a little scared to go in the trails
by myself. It was very early in the morning. To
be fair, Even my mom was a little hesitant. She
was like, do you really want to go this early?
So I feel like next time I try to run
in the trails, I might try to go a little

(38:47):
bit later.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Yeah, Or if you.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Want to run early in the morning, don't run in
the trails, like run more in.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
A public set. Yeah, Like try to find a different yeah,
try to find a different route. But we'll see.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
I think the other thing, the reason why we have
a fear of this is that our was actually chased
by a coyote.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
In the specific trails that we're talking exactly.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
So I'm not saying every single trail is like this,
but I think we just have a fear specifically with
the trail near my house, where I do get a
little scared that I'll be by myself running and coyote
will just come out of nowhere, especially if I'm running
with the dog, Like, oh god, yeah, I don't want

(39:26):
to think about it.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
The dog is a snack to them, So.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
That fills my cup.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
Yeah, you know what, that.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
Actually fills my cup too right there.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Anyways, all to say is like just being able to
move your body and be outside and whether it's you know,
going on that long walk without any music, or you know,
going to a workout class like figure out what you
look forward to. They really do feel like it makes
the biggest difference.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
I do also think just like taking the time to
like actually invest in a gym membership or a work
studio or something like that. I know, sometimes financially it
could be hard. Like obviously there's ways of moving your
body free, right, like going on walks all that, but like,
for example, as Madison brought up, like the winter time,
it's a little bit harder to walk outside during those

(40:14):
colder months. So if it's you know, finding a cheaper
membership of going to the gym to walk on a treadmill,
or I actually invested in a walking treadmill that's foldable
from Amazon this winter. That sometimes even here in the summer,
like if it's too dark outside and I still want
to move my body, I'll whip up the treadmill put
on the summer I turned pretty, I'll walk on the
treadmill while watching it. Like finding you know, time out

(40:36):
of my day to still be able to get some
movement in. I think sometimes it is important to invest
in yourself in that sense where if it allows you
to be able to, you know, get workouts in and
move your body, it's one hundred percent worth your money
and you're investing in your health.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
You're literally investing, Like I think that's the best way
to look at it, like not really the price point,
but like, okay.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
The value that you're getting out of it, Like how
much use am I going to get out of it?

Speaker 3 (41:02):
Does it make sense? Like for example, you know, Killy
was kind of talking about gym memberships, like I had
never had a gym membership before because I had a gym,
like an at home gym in my house, and so
I never felt like it was worth my money.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
Yeah, I have one of the basics exactly what I mean.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
But the thing is is that I never worked out
in it. I just didn't feel motivated. Like I'd always
be like, oh yeah, like i'll do it tomorrow, and
it just like that just kept I kept saying that
every single day, and it just never would happen because
I didn't have the motivation. But the second I actually
got a gym membership, like just knowing that, like this
money is coming out of my account and also just

(41:42):
like loving the workouts that I do. It has honestly
been like transformative, Like, yeah, I now have a consistent
workout routine, whereas like before I never did no yea
because I didn't have a gym membery.

Speaker 4 (41:58):
I finally forced her out of the house doing workouts.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
Anxiety, and now she loves it. I absolutely love it,
like just having that consistent workout team, and you know,
I want to go multiple times throughout the week, not
just because I'm trying to get my money's worth, but
it's also because I love it.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
Yeah, And it's almost like an addiction, Like you get
addicted to going to these workout classes. And it's again
like when you're doing it with friends and when you're
doing it with family, and you know, obviously like with
you paying for it, there's that motivation, but as I said,
like the motivation of doing it with other people too
makes it more fun.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
And also just getting out of the house.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
Like like I feel like COVID like made us become
these homebodies where you know, of course, like doing things
at home is super convenient and like having a gym
in the basements convenient, but like I don't think it
can be done, Like I don't think I could have
an at home gym and do it every single day
throughout the week. I feel like I could do a
few days at home for sure, but I'm gonna need

(42:53):
a few days like out of the house.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Maybe it's just because I.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
Work from home that I need that social aspect of
getting out of the house forcing myself to go to
those workout classes. Like if you work in the office,
maybe it makes more sense for you to have that
at home gym in the morning because you leave the
house regardless for your job, right, it really just depends
on your.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Whatever works best for you, Like me, especially like going
through a transition from you know, being in school being
a student to now trying to find a job like
that can be you know, a big transition to go
from to having being so busy with school to like
not really having anything, and it is a hard time

(43:31):
trying to navigate like what you want to do with
your career and just trying to find a job like
it definitely is a struggle and in a hard period
of your life. So I definitely feel like it has
helped so much throughout this transition, just being able to
move my body every single day because it puts me

(43:52):
in the right mindset, and I feel so much more
productive throughout the day in terms of finding a job
and yeah, just you know, helping with kind of like
maybe those negative thoughts about oh, I'm never going to
get a job, like just moving your body like I don't.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
Know what it is.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
It is and this is why I have the best movie.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
This is why I push it so much too, like
with my audience and just talking about how like booking
that workout class and having that structure of routine will
literally change your life because it literally does, and it
sounds like the smallest task, but it really does make
a huge difference in your mood and your overall mental
health when you actually invest in yourself and do the
movement and doing those.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Workouts that make you feel good.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
We should be sales reps for gess. Yeah, we're like
really selling it.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
Yeah exact, yeah exactly, Like give us a discount maybe
because we're selling this. We don't even have a specific
one that we're selling because we also go to so
many different ones though too, right, And I think that
also helps good because it's not like we're getting bored, right,
We're going to Pilate's, We're going up you know, Matt classes,
We're actually going to be trying a gym, like an

(44:59):
actual gym membership. When we get back, we're going to
be trying like weightlifting classes. Sorry, yeah, when you're not
going on the trip. When I get back from my trip,
we're gonna try and do it together something that I mean,
I don't think you've ever done a weightlifting now, I'm
a little I haven't done it in years, So it's
gonna be yeah, definitely different, but again, trying something out
of our comfort zone, doing something.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Doing it with friends, so it's a little less nerve
wrecking exactly.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
No one's gonna judge me, no, and if they're judging you,
they're judging me too because.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
