Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
Hawkgirl Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
your weekly.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Reminder that it's a new day.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
A new week, a new mindset, and another day for
you to become the Hawkgirl Energy you want to attract.
Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I apologize for
not posting an episode last week. If you saw my
Instagram story, I talked about how my microphone was causing
some issues for the past few episodes. I've had a

(00:43):
few comments on Spotify just saying that my microphone was
either too high or too low and everyone was having
issues with the volume.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
So I apologize for that.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
I'm not really up to date on the Spotify comments,
like I probably checked maybe once a month. I don't
check weekly, and maybe I should be checking weekly, because
that is one hundred percent my fault for not noticing
and seeing the feedback about how the episodes were not
sounding right and we're just kind of sounding too loud
or too quiet for some people. So it's just kind

(01:15):
of funny how literally there were some people that were saying,
you're yelling, and then there's other people that were saying
you're too quiet.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
You need to turn it up.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
So I'm hoping this new microphone that I'm currently using
now is working well. Please comment down below if you
think it sounds okay. I spent a lot of money
on this microphone. Okay, I decided to invest in a
really good one because obviously this is my job. So
I'm like, you know what, We're just gonna put the
visa down and just close my eyes and just check

(01:43):
out because she was quite expensive. But I'm hoping this
sounds a lot better for you guys. And yeah, just
let me know in the comments if you think this
sounds better throughout this episode. That way, I know going
forward that everything sounds good. So we're gonna get into
the episode shortly. I wanted to do an episode around
the Hawk Girl winter prep because I feel like we

(02:05):
are so close to the winter season. We're actually getting snow,
I believe early next week. Apparently it could also not
happen from the weather forecast. It's saying that it might
potentially snow next week. So I'm like, you know what,
we got to start talking about how we're going to
prep for the winter season because I personally feel like
I get the winter uglies all the time, and to

(02:27):
be fully transparent, I'm feeling them now.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I'm feeling a little pale. You know. Obviously it's the
colder season, so I'm not really going outside as much.
I'm staying more inside the house.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I'm getting, you know, only twenty minute walks in instead
of an hour walk in, so everything just feels a
little different, and just obviously making adjustments to my routine
is always needed going into a new season. So I
wanted to share some things that I'm kind of doing
throughout the winter season just to feel like my hottest
self and still feel really confident in myself and just

(02:59):
making these non negotiable for whenever I'm feeling the winter uglies.
So before getting into that episode, I kind of wanted
to do a bit of a weekly catch up just
because it's been a long time since we chatted last.
But new microphone. We love it, we're excited about it,
we're hoping that it works. And then we also have
some Christmas decor planning here. Okay, it is the first

(03:22):
week of November. I am only thinking about Christmas. I
am a Christmas girl throwing through I love the holiday season.
I love decorating my house, and I always love decorating
early because a it gives inspiration for you guys, because I.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Know a lot of you guys like to see kind
of what I do to my house.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
But I also like to decorate early because you only
have the Christmas decorations up for usually four weeks, and
I don't think that's enough in my opinion, so I
like to start in November. That way, get almost around
eight weeks of the decor in the house.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
And I put so much work.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I'm talking like it's usually a three day thing for
me to decorate the entire house, like when you think
about the Christmas tree, the garland on the stairs, the
you know porch if you want to decorate your outside porch,
adding the little details to certain areas of my coffee
nook or my shelves, or whatever the case may be.
But it's so much work, and I'm sure if you

(04:14):
guys decorate your house or your bedroom, you get it.
It's a lot of work and I personally just would
rather have it up as long as I can, and
usually in January, by like the first week of January,
I usually like to obviously reset the house, go into
the new year with a fresh plate of the house
being you know, fully back to normal. So I'd rather

(04:34):
start early, decorate now, and then have it all reset
for January.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
So I'm very excited.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I feel like I have a pretty good idea of
how I'm going to kind of create my theme this year.
This is also our last Christmas in this house, which
is so crazy to think about that because we've had
i think the past four Christmases here and I love
this house so much and I'm going to miss it
so much.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
It truly was the most first house.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
But I'm very excited for the new place, and I
think you guys are going to break out when you
see the new house. We hired interior designers to kind
of help us through the process of building with a
new builder. So I feel like hiring the interior designers
was the right move because I think they're going to
know little secrets of how to make the house just

(05:22):
feel more custom by knowing what the builders are, you know,
allowed to go above and beyond four if we want
to like make huge adjustments in the kitchen, if we
want to make changes to the floors, or you know,
there might be things that they have contacts for when
it comes to finding better things externally versus going through
the builders. So we've talked about going through, you know,

(05:43):
a different company for the countertops in the kitchen versus
going with the builder. So just kind of like sneak
peaks of that for the new house. So I don't know,
I think it was the right move. And these two
designers I've actually followed four years. They were actually my
inspiration for this house. I have followed them for a
long time. They are based in Ottawa as well, and

(06:04):
a lot of the furniture pieces I bought for this
house I solely bought because of their houses, like they
do such an amazing job with interior design, so I
knew if I was going to hire someone for the house,
it was going to be those two girls because they
know what they're doing and they also are super sweet.
So very excited to show new house content. A lot
of stuff will be up in the coming weeks. We

(06:25):
have like three appointments buked for November and then I
think we have two more booked for December, so it's
going to be very busy these next few weeks.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
But I'm very excited to share the journey.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
So if you guys want to see a lot of
house content that will be on Instagram and TikTok. But yeah,
so last Christmas in this house. I'm excited but also
kind of sad at the same time. But I want
to go out with a bang and still make the
house feel very cozy, very festive, and I'm excited for
you guys to see how I decorate the place.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
So let's get into today's episode.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
We have twelve things that we're going to talk about
that I think is essential for a win her season
prep of how we can get out of the winter
uglies and just feel our hottest self and most confident self.
So the first thing you're going to do is you're
going to create a list of weekly self care rituals.
What are things that make you feel good when you
actually put the effort in your self care routine.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
So, is it exfoliating once a week.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Is it doing a deep hair mask where you're doing
like a deep condition of you know, really hydrating your hair.
Is it doing you know, face masks or eyemass. Is
it doing a weekly self tanner. It could be so
many different things, but I feel like dedicating one day
a week.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
This could be like on a Sunday where you just
like do everything.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
You exfoliate, you do a hair mask, you maybe leave
it in for like an hour. You can do self
tanner at the same time, maybe put on a face mask,
then get in the shower. Once you're self tanner, you
know the time runs out. Let's say it's a thirty
minute self tanner set in, or it could be an hour.
You then get in the shower, take it all off,
You're in your cozy pjs, you're watching your TV show,

(08:00):
you're reading a book.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Like the vibes are immaculate for a Sunday night.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
So find a day once a week to kind of
just really focus on self care habits that make you
feel good going into a new week. I feel like
Sunday or a Monday night is crucial for self care
because I think it sets yourself up for a successful week.
You feel better, you have a better mindset going into
the week. You're just feeling more confident. I always say

(08:25):
a tan truly is my care of happiness. I'm not
even kidding, Like I feel so much more confident with
a tan. So, you know, exfoliating and doing the self
tannered routine is definitely a non negotiable for me during
the winter season. So I haven't gotten too the self
tanner yet, but I'm hoping to start that honestly in
the coming weeks because we're getting so close to it.

(08:46):
And then again, just I always try and do imass honestly,
like three to four times a week in the morning.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
You guys probably see that in my morning routine videos
that I'm always doing. Iyemass, I love them. I just
find them so hydrating.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Brands that I personally really love are summer Fridays. They
have a really great i'mask. I also love the brand
Peter Roth. I think it is really really good Imass.
I just recently tried the Road Imass. I feel like
I haven't used it enough to give you guys, like
an honest review on it. I like them, I just honestly,

(09:17):
like wouldn't say that I've seen massive results out of it,
and I feel like I need to use it a
little bit more to get my honest opinion on that.
I feel like the Road Iemass would be really good
if I put them in the freezer, So I.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Think I'm gonna try that the next time because I.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Feel like the cooling will just make it feel so good,
So we'll give you an update on that.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But I have tried the road Imass.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I like them so far, but I do feel like
I need to give a better review once I've used
it for like an entire month.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
So we'll keep you posted on that.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
And then for a good hair mask, I really love
the brand way they have great hair mass along with
the brand Redkin.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I use Redkin's.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Shampoo and conditioner, and they have this like leven shot
hair mass that my hairdresser actually recommended, and I absolutely
love using that usually once every two weeks.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
I don't do it weekly, but I find it.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Gives my hair that like glossy, shiny look, especially when
I need my hair to just like look better than
what it does.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Sometimes.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
You know, sometimes my hair just feels like super dry,
and I just feel like doing a hair mass just
like makes it feel so much more hydrating and it
just gives that like glossy look, which is what I want.
Another thing I love to do usually during the winter
season is really focus on red light therapy.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I personally feel like red light therapy is a huge
game changer. It helps my skin so so much.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I feel like my skin is so dry during the
winter season, so I'm obviously using like thicker moisturizers, but
I feel like the red light therapy really just gets
my skin under control. And I know these face masks
are not cheap. I totally get it. That's not something
you can do. I so respect that, but if you can,
or something to think about from maybe Christmas gift. I

(11:01):
think there is some affordable brands out there that do
red light therapy, but I just think it's.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Also a great way to boost your mood.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Red light therapy is actually supposed to be a mood
booster and just help you when you're feeling down. So
it's great for your skin, it's great for aging, and
then also just great.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
For your mood in general.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
So I like to do this usually for ten minutes,
and I usually like to do it like twice a week.
And yeah, I've been using this space mask now for
almost two years and I just love it so much
and I do feel like it really is a huge
game changer for me. Another thing that I think is
a non negotiable is having a consistent supplement routine. There's
something about supplements that I feel like makes me just

(11:41):
feel really good because I know I'm doing something good
for myself. So I feel like when you have a
consistent routine of doing it in the morning and doing
it in the night, you feel like you have your
shit together. Like I don't know how to explain it,
but you just feel like you're focusing on yourself, you're
working on yourself, and you're doing something good for yourself.
So certain supplements I've been taking in the wing is colostrum.

(12:01):
I also have been taking a prebiotic probiotic, which is
a drink that I usually have in the morning before
I eat my breakfast, So that's kind of the supplements
I've been taking. I've also recently added brazil nuts to
my routine because I'm going to talk about this in
another episode maybe next week, to be honest about my
prepping for pregnancy journey. If you guys didn't know, I

(12:23):
feel like that's just such a funny thing to talk.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
About here in the podcast. But Zach and I are
not actively trying right now.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
We're absolutely not actively trying, but we are thinking about
trying within the next year. And so I want to
mentally and physically become my healthiest self, and so I've
done a lot of research a lot, a lot of
research on the whole journey of just you know, prepping
for pregnancy. Things that I can do for my health
and my body when it comes to like certain workouts,

(12:50):
you know, making sure my menstrual.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Cycles under control. I'm reading books.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
That I have to do a lot with nutrition and
lifestyle when it comes to preconception. All that so very
much another episode that I can do if you guys
are interested in hearing my story when it comes to that.
But I've been taking specific supplements to kind of like
help me through this journey. So I feel like I've
been a lot more focused on my supplements because of that.

(13:15):
But I've been feeling really good because I've been making
it a priority. So I feel like if you take
certain supplements in the morning and night, I think it's
going to be a huge game changer for yourself. You're
going to feel really good knowing that taking these things
are going to be making a huge benefit in your lifestyle.
Another thing that I started taking at night recently is magnesium.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
This has changed a game for me, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
The brand that I'm using is the brand Pro Mix,
and my nights have just felt so much more peaceful,
like I feel like I'm actually having a really resting sleep,
Like I wake up and I feel so well rested.
My body doesn't feel a sore, which is nice because
I feel like, obviously I'm working out like five to
six times a week, and as much as I love it,

(13:56):
my body kind of tells me that you're overdoing it,
like your muscles are sore, whatever. But me taking this
magnesium every single night, I feel like my muscle haven't
been as achy. And there's just so many benefits to
taking magnesium. So if you're not, I highly recommend it
including it into your night routine.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
It's literally a game changer before you go to bed.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
And then I'm also taking a prenatal vitamin, which again
has to do with kind of like my pregnancy prep,
and I've been taking that at night before I go
to sleep, So that's kind of like my supplement routine
right now.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
But I feel like that's.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Been a huge game changer for me, and I just
have been feeling really, really good, and I think it
has a lot to do with just like having a
consistent supplement routine in the morning and night. Another thing
that I really enjoy, specifically in the winter season is.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Heated workout classes.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
I feel like doing a heated workout class and the
winter hits so much more different than doing it in
the summer. There's like hot yoga, there's hot mac classes
you could go to. The one that I specifically go
to is Oxygen, And what I love about it is
that it's an infrared sauna, so you're also getting the
benefit of that sauna heat. So it's kind of like
the best of both worlds where you're getting a good

(15:06):
sweating but you're also getting the infrared sauna. I also
just feel like it feels really good to walk outside
when it's kind of cold out, especially after a heated class.
You're obviously super sweaty, but I feel like that feeling
just feels so refreshing. I also feel like it just
kind of like wakes me up, Like I'm going into
my day and I'm like, Okay, whoa, I feel awake,
I feel ready to take on the day. So I

(15:27):
try and do that at least one to two times
a week, and I really do think it's the key
to feeling your hot at self this winter, because not
only are you getting the sauna benefits, but you're getting
a good workout, you're getting good sweat again.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
It's once a week. It feels really really good.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
And I think in general, just in the winter, it's
so important to try and book workout classes because it's
so important to get out of the house during the
colder months. Even if you do want to hibernate and
never leave your house, that's so me Like, I never
want to leave the house. I love being in the
comfort of my own home when.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
It's super cold out.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
But building a consistent workout schedule and pushing yourself to
get out of the house is so so important, and
you feel really good when you do. It just feels
like a mini win, like a mini accomplishment for you,
pushing yourself to get out, get a workout in, come
back home, and yeah again, it's just like a little
win that you can go into the day knowing that you,
you know, push yourself to get a good workout in.

(16:23):
So having a consistent workout routine is also key throughout
the winter season.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Another thing that.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I find is a non negotiable is finding winter clothes
that make you feel chic. So I'm gonna be honest,
a winter coat. It's never that cute like some are cute,
some are not. I have a winter coat that is cute,
but I need the long winter coats because it's so
cold where I live that it's just a non negotiable,

(16:49):
Like I need to have the long Ritzia super puff
when I'm walking Freddy. But then I also have like
my chic cute winter puffers that are like the short ones. Again,
I get all my puffers from Aritzia. I love their
winter jackets so much. They're a pretty affordable price point
as well, but they have a lot of fun colors,
a lot of cute different styles.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
But I feel like when I can dress.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Up in that like cute winter jacket going outside with
my cute winter boots, like I feel more put together.
And I feel like winter fashion is just something that's
really hard to style.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
It's not exactly the most beautiful, you know, fashion that
I've ever seen. Like fall fashion is impeccable.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Like it truly is amazing, but winter fashion, I feel like,
I don't know, it just isn't it. But I feel
like there's ways to make it look cute by having
more of like a fun color winter jacket, you know,
accessorizing all that which brings us into the next topic,
which is accessories. Whenever I feel like I'm not feeling

(17:51):
one hundred percent, like just having my winter uglies and
I'm wearing maybe a sweat set at home and I'm
just not feeling confident, I feel like when I add
accessor to my outfit, it just makes the outfit look
ten times better. So, you know, if I'm wearing a
sweat set, sometimes I'll add like gold chunky hoops, I'll
add my blue leg glasses, and then usually I'll do
a little bit of makeup, and I feel ten times

(18:14):
more confident, ten times more put together. It's the simplest
way of just elevating an outfit. So same thing with
the winter coats. You can elevate it by adding a
cute handbag or adding a cute, you know, pair.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Of earrings, or whatever the case may be.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
So just finding ways to accessorize, I think makes you
feel more chic and it's just a great way to
kind of style your winter fits. Which also kind of
talks about my next non negotiable, which is the ten
minute get ready rule. So I spend ten minutes every
single day to put on a little bit of skincare,
a little bit of makeup because it makes me just

(18:48):
feel way more put together and just hotter.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
In general.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
I feel like using like darker bronzers, which make you
feel a bit more tanner, or you know, darker blushes
during the winter season just kind of like enhances your
features and makes you just feel a little bit more
tan a little bit more I don't know, just alive
and glowing in a sense. And I also love to
add some freckles and some lipliner, a little bit of

(19:14):
lip gloss, don't wear any foundation. Sometimes I'll put a
little bit of concealer on as well. But I just
think doing a ten minute glow up every single morning
just makes you feel ten times better going into your day,
boost my mood and really just encourages me to sometimes
get out of the house.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Do things, film myself whatever. Right, So I just feel like.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Spending ten minutes doing a little bit of makeup will
just make you feel so much better going into your day,
And as I said, you'll just feel ten times more
put together, more confident in yourself, And it just goes
a long way when you spend those extra ten minutes
on yourself with more of a positive mindset. Another thing
is romanticizing this season. I think I've definitely talked about

(19:57):
this a lot on the podcast, but I try I
vouch this so much for every single season that we enter.
But romanticizing your life is so crucial because if you
don't do this, you are going to be so down
and just like not feel your happiest self. I think
romanticizing the little things at home, like making your coffee,
for an example, is just so crucial. Turning on a

(20:20):
YouTube video lighting your favorite candle, maybe turning on like
some winter on Beyonce. You know how like YouTube you
can search like Christmas am Beyonce or fall on Beyonce
or Winter on Beyonce, and it like shows a cute
little image on the screen that just looks like really
festive and cute. That to me, is about romanticizing your life.
It could have just been a basic coffee, but no,

(20:41):
I put in the effort of putting on something on
the TV, lighting a candle, really setting the vibe of
the whole house while doing my.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Favorite thing, which is making my coffee at home.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
So really, just finding ways to make your life feel
more like a movie is the key to happiness in
my opinions, So especially in the winter, if we're in
the house a lot more, it's so important to just
kind of like think about those little things that bring
you so much joy and finding ways to romanticize it.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
This one is so.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Crucial in my opinion. But make sure to set weekly
social dates. So find today like once a week to
meet up with a friend and just kind of get
your social fix in. Because I am a victim to
never wanting to leave my house during the winter season
because again it's super cold out. I don't want to
go outside and heat up my car. I don't want
to have to scrape the ice off my windshield. Like

(21:33):
I'll think of a billion excuses as to why I
don't want to leave my house, putting on my winter boots,
my winter jacket, layering, whatever.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
But I do know that when I do.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Force myself out of the house and I get my
social fix in, which is seeing a friend catching up,
just getting out of the house, maybe going to a
coffee shop just.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
To you know, have an hour chat and then coming
back home.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
I feel so much better when I actually force myself
to do that and just having that hour social fix
of chatting with a friend catching up. I just feel
like I go into my day with such a better
mindset and also just like my week in general, of
having that social fix just makes me feel good going
into my work week.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
And yeah, so this could also just be.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Like maybe starting a book club with friends, or just
doing like a weekly catch up with your friends.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Maybe find a night each week.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
That you guys could get together and do maybe a
bit of cooking together. You could like change houses and
like rotate and.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Everyone takes a turn.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Finding ways just to kind of get a weekly social
date I think is so crucial. And again, our mental
health is really low usually during the winter season because
we're not getting out as much. So finding ways to
kind of, you know, bring excitement to your week by
having a social fix and a social date with a
friend or friends in general, I think is really crucial

(22:52):
to your mental health during the colder months. This next
one is something that I'm trying to figure out what
to do for the winter season, but binding a new
hobby that will.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Keep you busy.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
So it could be buying yourself a coloring book. I've
seen a lot of people actually talk about buying color
like adult coloring books, and they say it's so therapeutic.
Zach and I actually painted pumpkins two weeks ago for Halloween,
and it was very therapeutic, like just like not being
on my phone, spending an hour with my husband, like

(23:24):
painting pumpkins together. It was actually really fun. And he
actually admitted it too. He's like, he probably doesn't want
me to tell you guys this, but he was like, wait,
this is actually kind of fun, Like it was kind
of funny just to hear him say that and him
actually enjoy the painting and just how therapeutic it was.
And it just kind of feels like you're reliving things
that you did within your childhood. So I feel like

(23:45):
I could actually maybe look into the adult coloring book.
I've seen a few people also talk about, like the
Water Painting color Book, which is so beautiful, Like it
literally looks like things that you could put in a
frame and you could put it in your house, like
really really cute stuff. You can also nich yourself a blanket,
like get into crocheting. I've seen a lot of people

(24:06):
make like cute, chunky blankets with like really thick yarn.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
So there's so many things that you could do.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
There's so many hobbies that you can take on but
I think it's really nice to add those little things
into your routine because it allows you to like not
scroll on your phone as much and just kind of
like separate your social media life and your personal life
and not feel like you have to be on your
phone all the time. I've been trying to read my
book a lot lately. I've been trying to dedicate, you know,

(24:34):
forty five minutes to reading. I'll walk on my treadmill
for forty five minutes and I'll read my book at
the same time. You know, sometimes I usually work when
I'm walking on my treadmill, which is fine, Like I'll
usually edit a video.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
While I'm walking.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Been trying to change that up just because I feel
like I definitely have a lot of time throughout the
day to focus on work, like editing stuff on my
phone and all that it could be done at a
later time throughout the day. So I've kind of been
focusing on read while walking on the treadmill early in
the morning.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
And it's just felt really really good to kill two
birds with one stone.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
And I always talk about habit stacking and how important
it is to do multiple things at once because it
makes your life easier and you can get so much
more done when you actually habit stacked. So yeah, reading
my book, walking my treadmill has been my thing. That's
not a hobby obviously, but I mean reading a book
for me is like a hobby because I never I
never do it, So me actually reading is something I'm

(25:26):
really proud of and something that I really try and
focus on to do daily. But yeah, getting the coloring
book might be something that I could do that would
be really fun to change it up, be therapeutic and
again kind of distance myself from mindlessly scrolling on my phone.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Okay, we have.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Two more here, but the last two are making sure you're.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Journaling and setting goals weekly.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
This is so important to do because again during the
winter season, we're kind of low with our mental health,
We're not really in the best mindset.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
So writing out things that you're grateful for, writing out
goals that you want to achieve throughout the week.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Again, having many goals throughout the week and achieving those
many goals just kind of brings some happiness into your
day and just kind of reminds you how proud you
should be of yourself for achieving those little things throughout
the week.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
It could be small little things.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Like going to the grocery store getting all the groceries
you need. Maybe it's finishing a paper that you wanted
to finish for school. It could be, you know, things
that you wanted to catch up with for work. It
could be so many things, but just achieving those little
things brings some joy into your day. And then the
last one that I think is a non negotiable for
your hawkgirl winter prep is monthly self care appointments. This

(26:39):
could be a nail appointment, it could be a hair appointment.
It could be booking a spray tand it could be
going to the spa with a friend. It could be
getting a massage, it could be getting your hair done.
Like there's so many ideas of a monthly self care
appointment that you can do, but dedicating one of those
appointments once a month throughout the winter season will literally
change your mindset much. You'll feel so much better, you know,

(27:02):
just actually focusing and investing in yourself in something that
makes you feel good. So for me, I love getting
spray hands. That for me is a huge confidence booster.
I always feel ten times better when I have a
spray can. I always feel so so good when I
have a spray can. I also love doing monthly nail appointments.
I always get my fingers and toes done. That for

(27:23):
me is just a non negotiable. I feel always really
put together when I have my nails done. It could
also be just booking a spa date with your friend
going to get massages.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
If you haven't gotten a massage in weeks.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Or years or months, this might be a sign for
you to do it because it's so relaxing. It feels
so good just to get all the knots out in
your neck or your back, especially if you're someone that
works from a computer or an office. Sorry, you know,
getting a deep tissue massage for your neck and back.
Oh my goodness, you have no idea how tight those

(27:54):
areas get.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
I'm a victim to it.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
I love getting massages, and you know, sometimes when I'm
working on my phone or on my computer all the time,
I get super tight around my neck and back, and
I feel like whenever I get a massage, I feel
like a new human being.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
I feel so much less tight.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I feel like my body just doesn't feel as stress
because of the massage. I just feel like it's kind
of releasing any tension or stress that your body might
be holding.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
So this is your.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Sign if you haven't gotten massage, to treat yourself to one,
but just getting out of the house, treating yourself to
a pamper appointment. Like I said, it could be a
hair appointment, nail appointment, spray tand it just always feels
so so good investing in yourself and you always feel
tenttons hotter when you're actually doing these little things, and
especially during the winter season, we need to get out

(28:41):
of our winter ugly phase and doing these little things
that just kind of make us feel better.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
About ourself is so crucial.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
So those are just the twelve non negotiables that I
personally think are the key to feeling hotter this winter season.
So if you're someone like me that you know feels
the winter uglies a bit or just kind of feels down,
take these tips going into the winter season, and I
do think it would make a huge difference with your
mental health, how you're feeling, your confidence all that. So

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
