Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
Hot Gral Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylie, and this
is your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a
new week, a new mindset, and another day for you
to become the hot Girl Energy you want to attract.
Hello you guys, Happy Wednesday. We are really excited about
today's episode. Okay, I am so excited to talk about

(00:35):
things that I find incredibly chic. And this is something
that I've seen posted on TikTok honestly for years, and
I feel like I've never done an episode dedicated to
things that I personally think are really chic or just
things that I really want to do to elevate my life.
And this could be anything in relation to your style,

(00:56):
things that you do, things in your home, like things
that I see that another girl has that I'm like,
she is so effortlessly cool, Like I want to be
like that, you know what I mean? Like when I
see another girl do this or have this, it makes
me want it because I think she looks super incredibly chic.
So that's what today's episode is really gonna be about,
is just really talking about how to elevate our lives

(01:19):
making things more chic in our life almost again, kind
of in relation to romanticizing our life by maybe investing
in things that make us feel more put together, more chic.
Of course, I think a lot of girls love that
they love to look expensive, but maybe not actually spend
that type of price tag, if that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Like, I really want it to be about just us.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Feeling more chic, feeling more elevated, just kind of redefining
ourselves and doing little things that can make us feel
more put together. But before we get in today's episode,
I wanted to do a little bit of a weekly recap. Honestly, guys,
life has been super busy. I am entering the busiest
time of the year for me for work. Obviously, it's

(02:01):
the holidays. Black Friday's coming up, so I feel like
I have a lot of stuff just kind of coming
in and I'm trying to manage my time as best
as I can, and of course always try and make
the podcast a priority. But you know, I am recording
this on a Wednesday morning, so this is not what
I typically do. I obviously usually record the episodes on Tuesday,
but because work's been so busy, I'm sorry if things
kind of just get uploaded late at the end of

(02:23):
the day. I'm just proud of getting an episode up
throughout the week. That's all I care about, and I
think you guys obviously care too, just to kind of
have an episode up for the week. So definitely always
trying my best, but sometimes kind of hard to manage
everything going on. And on top of that, if you
guys follow me on Instagram and TikTok or you know
you've been up to date with the podcast episodes, then
you guys know that Zach and I are building a

(02:44):
house and we are nine months away from move in,
so it seems like a long time, but it really isn't.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
And they need everything when it comes to the design of.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
The house all before the beginning of January, so you
can imagine how stressful things have been these past few
weeks just attending meetings zoom calls with our interior designers.
We did hire interior designers, and I could briefly chat
about that for anyone that's interested in knowing my thoughts
about hiring an interior designer. But I truly feel like

(03:17):
already being a month into this with them, it has
been truly beyond helpful like they have been absolutely amazing.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I hired two girls. Their names are Shannon and Jamie.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I hired them because I actually have been following them
for years and a lot of the home decor items
that I actually purchased for this house was literally based
off of their decor, Like they were posting stuff on Instagram,
and when I bought this house, I loved their style
and I was like adding things to Kart that they
inspired me to buy from, like Creighton, Baryl, ceb two
all that just like really discovering my love for design

(03:52):
through them. And so when I decided that I wanted
to do an interior designer for this house, I immediately
thought of them because I'm like, they're two girls that
I've just been following for so long and was so
so happy that we were able to hire them for
the house. So they have been such a huge inspiration
for me. And so obviously I really love home design
and I feel like I really have a good eye

(04:13):
for certain things when it comes to interior design.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
But I really just wanted the extra.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Help because when you're building a house with a builder,
there is a lot of little things that you don't
realize that can add up and I feel like the
interior designer kind of knows ways to give your house
that custom look, but finding ways to cut costs where
you're actually getting a better looking kitchen or a better

(04:37):
looking pantry and actually like not having to pay double
the price. And I don't know, there's just like a
lot of things that I've learned through them that I'm
obviously happy to share through my socials of how they're
helping me find ways to kind of like make the
house feel more custom and less builder. So so far,
I'm already really happy with the decision. And again I'm
definitely obviously creating all the inspo, like everything see that's

(05:00):
coming to life with the kitchen and the pantry, Like
this is all things that I'm like, this is my
vision and I'm sending it to them, and they're creating
the vision and bringing it to life. So it's truly
a two man team, Like I'm obviously a huge benefit
and they're obviously a huge benefit. So us being a
team together is really just bringing the.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Vision to life. And I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
So if you want to see how's content, definitely posting
a lot these next few weeks, and it's all been
very very exciting, and then Christmas decor is all up.
I'm obviously fully in the Christmas mood. I'm starting to
plan stuff for December now with my girlfriends, just like
planning fun activities like going to Christmas markets, spa day's dinner,
nights out all that. I think next episode will really

(05:39):
be about kind of like a holiday bucket list of
things that you can do throughout December to really get
you in the holiday spirit or just the holiday mood.
So stay tuned for that episode. But I'm definitely figuring
out my plans for the holidays, getting excited. I cannot
believe that we're almost in twenty twenty six. I'm also
starting to plan, you know, some glow up locked in

(06:01):
episodes for you girls to feel really motivated going into
a new year. Obviously talking about vision boards, how we're
going to manifest our dream life going into a new year.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
We're also going to.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Talk about how to review your twenty twenty five year
and everything that you accomplished and go into new goals
that you want to achieve for the new year.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
So obviously have a lot of fun episodes coming up.
This is truly my favorite time of the year.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
To create episodes because I always feel so inspired going
into a new year, and obviously.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
The holidays is super inspiring.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
I'll also do another gift guide episode if you guys
want of ideas of what to get your loved ones,
you know, best friends, gifts under one hundred dollars, gifts
for yourself all that. Happy to do an episode like
that if you guys like that as well. But I
am creating gift guides currently on a platform that you
guys can shop off of, So what I'll be able
to do is do an episode like that and then

(06:54):
have all the links available for you guys if you
guys are needing some help with your Christmas shopping this year.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
So that's a little update from me and some stuff
that's going on.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
But let's get into today's episode and how we're going
to elevate our life and things that I find incredibly chic.
The first thing that I find very chic is when
I see a girl layer her jewelry, like in a
very simplistic but elegant way. When I see all of
her bracelet stacks, when she has an earring stack. I
love when girls have like two to three piercings on

(07:24):
their ears and they either do like a really nice
like stud stack or like a hoop and then studs.
You can also just tell when someone has like good
quality jewelry or designer pieces, and I just find it
incredibly chic. I also love when girls wear like a
staple earring with a simple outfit. So if you're wearing
like a black T shirt with a nice pair of

(07:45):
dark denim jeans and then you have like a nice
gold staple earring that just kind of like pops out
with like a slick ponytail, like that to me is
so chic.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Like if I saw a girl like having that entire outfit,
I would literally want to be friends with her. I'd
be like, Okay, he looks so put together. The second
one is just having a perfect wardrobe.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
And what I mean by that is just someone that
has like a very simple style, but you can just
tell their like effortlessly cool, just have a really really
good fashion sense.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Doesn't really buy.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Branded things like very much like simple design really just
kind of like basic shirts, basic jeans, but looks really elevated.
Like I love a good Beggy White tea with dark
denim jeans like that combo to me is so so beautiful.
Like think of a crisp brand new white T shirt
that a girl would wear with just like really really.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Nice hair again, really nice pair of jeans.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
A simple handbag like that to me just gives really
really cool girl vibes. I also love, especially during the
winter season, when a girl is wearing like a black turtleneck.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
That is my go to outfit in the winter.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Like I fine wearing a black turtleneck, like a tight,
tight type black turtleneck, with a nice pair of jeans,
black heeled boots, my hair straight, nice makeup, again, a
nice little handbag. That to me is like my go
to going out girls outfit or just going on a
date night with my husband. If I don't know what
I'm gonna wear, that's exactly what I'm gonna wear every
single time. Because with a turtleneck you can also layer

(09:15):
it with really nice jackets. And obviously we are in
jacket season. I love a good jacket. I wish it
wasn't that cold where I need to wear a puffer
over my jacket outfit, if that makes sense. Obviously the
puffer is just gonna ruin the vibe. But when you
wear like a nice leather jacket with that turtleneck. I
feel like it is so so cool and it's just

(09:37):
so effortless, and I feel like you just look so
so put together. So definitely love that right now. Is
just simple teas simple turtlenecks. I think the color white
and black and gray are like my favorite neutral colors
that I always try and stick to when I am
buying something that's kind of just like a simple top
or like something that's just gonna, you know, last in

(09:59):
my wardrobe for a really long time. Investing in good
quality pieces, I really love Aritzia. I think a lot
of their you know, tank tops, t shirts, turtlenecks are
really really good quality, and they're actually at a very
good price point. So I really feel like that's a
good place to shop if you're looking for like very
simple but good quality tops to just wear with a

(10:21):
good pair of denim jeans. When it comes to good denim,
I do think you can find a lot of good
denim at a Ritzy as well. They have great brands
like Levi's. They also have I think their brand, they
have their own brand. I forget what their brand is called. Oh,
denim Form. I really like Denim Form as well. Another
good brand that I haven't tried yet but I hear
really good things about is Park. I've tried Parks mockneck sweaters,

(10:44):
but I've never tried their denim jeans, but I hear
really good things about them, so that's definitely a brand
that I want to try. I've also tried a Goldie,
which is good. I wouldn't say like they're my favorite.
It is really really pricey. I just don't really see
the wow factor in it in my opinion. I actually
got a pair of Guest Jenes from the Guest brand

(11:04):
trip that I went on in the beginning of this year,
and guys, guest.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Jeans are actually so good.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
I wear these low rise jeans honestly almost every single week,
like I'm obsessed with them, and you guys always ask me, killy,
what are these jeans?

Speaker 2 (11:18):
They're from Guests.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
They are from Guests, and they are literally the best genes,
the perfect wash, the perfect cut, like not too.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Baggy, not too slim.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
They are literally my favorite. I literally wear them every
single time I'm going out. Those genes are going on me.
I have them linked on my LTK. But I just
feel like finding good, good denim is really hard, but
you guys should try out guests.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
It's not too expensive.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
I think it's around one hundred dollars price point, but
I feel like that's pretty good for a good quality
pair of Dunim. Another thing I find very chic is
just very simple design when it comes to handbags. I
would say years ago, when I was shopping for handbags,
I was always looking for a lot of detail, like
I wanted it.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
To be all bling.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
I wanted to have like the logo in the front,
like the designer logo, because I wanted people to know, oh,
I bought designer whatever. Like this is years ago, right,
Like even thinking about like when I used to work
at Michael Corer's back in the day, Like MK always
had like a lot of design going on, like it
was always out there, and I loved that. But as
I've gotten older, I've realized how much I prefer that

(12:19):
simple look with honestly no designer at all. Like think
of Botega, Like their signature is that like checkered kind
of woven leather material, but that's like their signature, but
there's no branding, there's no logo, but it looks incredibly chic,
and I don't know. I just think having simple things
for your handbag or just like simple design for a

(12:41):
handbag is so chic and like no branding on clothing
or anything like that. Just a very simple style I
think is very very effortless, and I think, I don't know,
it just looks really put together. Another thing I really
love is vintage pieces when it comes to home decor
and also fashion pieces. I feel like this is something
that I've grown to love this year. Specifically, I think

(13:04):
I always was unsure about vintage pieces. I think I
have a really hard time like sourcing vintage pieces.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I think you've got to go to like the right
spots and know the right places.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
I definitely love like the real Reel and like places
online that make it a little bit easier for you
to find vintage things. But I am really excited to
find vintage pieces for our house.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
You know, I've learned a lot through.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Interior design of understanding that you need that perfect combination
of new and old, like if you want your house
to feel like that ultimate cozy vibe.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
I love the idea of just.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Mixing a little bit of old furniture so it could
be like a rustic coffee table or a rustic hutch
that you know you may have thrifted from the Facebook marketplace,
or you know there's places that do vintage thrifting for
furniture pieces, and then you have this beautiful, brand new couch.
So really mixing in that new and old I think
is really really chic. And then also just seeing someone

(14:00):
again with maybe a brand new outfit, but then like
a vintage Chanel bag or like a vintage Louis Bait tombag.
You know again that designer vintage look. I really really
love how people just like mix new and old and
find really nice vintage pieces. Another thing I really love
is neutral.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Nails or short nails, Like.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
I have tried so so hard changing up my nail
shape and I have officially converted to the short square nails,
and guys, I love it. If you're an almond girl
like me, I do think it's really nice to change it.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Up and to be fully transparent.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I actually love both, like I wouldn't say I prefer
one more than the other. I actually love going into
my appointment and always changing it up. Right now, I
have short brown nails and I need to get them
touched up, and I'm either gonna do a bubble back
like milky white almond nail shape next, or I'm gonna
do short square French. And if you guys have been

(14:57):
listening for the podcast for a while, then you guys
know that I to talked about doing short French square
nails for so long, Like I kept telling you guys,
I'm chickening out, I can't do it.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I did it this.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Summer and it was one of the chekeest nails I've
ever done, Like it literally was perfection. So I am
debating on doing that again this next appointment that I
have on Friday, or I'm gonna do the almond nails.
So I'm unsure what I'm gonna do yet, but I
truly do think both are very chic and really really nice.
But I have been leaning more towards these short square

(15:27):
because I feel like it just looks, yeah, very effortless,
and I feel really really put together when.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I have my short nails. I also really love the
no makeup makeup look.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
This is something that I've incorporated into my routine for
almost two years now. I do not wear any mascara,
and if you are currently doing mascara every single day,
I highly highly highly recommend trying it out without no mascara.
Do a really nice soft, natural glam like put on
your concealer, put on your bronzer, put on your blush,

(16:01):
add a little bit of freckles, do a nice slip.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Do your eyebrows. That's it.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
I don't wear foundation. I put like a very light
amount of concealer on my face in areas that I
want covered, and then I just do a little bit
of contour, a little bit of bronzer and blush, no mascara.
I crawl my eyelashes, but I don't put any mascara on,
and I almost feel the most confident when I do
my makeup like this. I think it's because I feel
like I look like myself, but it really just enhances

(16:28):
my natural beauty, if that makes sense. I feel like
I feel naturally pretty when I don't overdo it, and
sometimes I actually prefer that when I compare it to
a full beat like sure, don't get me wrong, it
feels really good the odd time.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
When you do put a lot of effort in your makeup.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
But when I do a lot of makeup every single day,
I don't feel like I like it, if that makes sense.
Like when I am on vacation and I do my
makeup every single night, like when I'm going out every
single night for dinners and all that. Like by day four,
I'm kind of like, okay, like I don't like the
way I look right now, Like I don't know, it's
just it's something that I can't describe. But I feel
like when I do like my everyday natural glam, I

(17:05):
feel good, I feel naturally pretty.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I feel like it's just like the.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Perfect effortless makeup, but you can still tell that like
you're glowing in a sense, if that makes sense. So
if you're not doing the no makeup makeup look, I
highly recommend trying it out. I truly do feel like
it makes you feel so much more put together and
really just enhances your natural beauty.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Another thing I find.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Very chic is purchasing high quality supplements or food. I
feel like this just really shows how much you care
for your body. Like I really do love my supplements.
I really do love investing in certain food products because
you know, there's obviously.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
A lot of things that are added in ingredients.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
There's also a lot of foods that you can buy
that are not like really high prices, like there is
some that are very reasonable, but I don't know, there's
something about it that I just find very chic when
you actually like put the effort in, like buying a
bit more higher quality of foods that you may get
at the grocery store.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Another thing I love is black.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Heels, Like when you have a good staple black heeled
boot or just like black basic heels. I think that's
like a non negotiable to have in your wardrobe. And
I just find it very chic when someone's wearing like
a nice pair of black heels with denim jeans and
then a nice basic top. Again very simple, but looks
very put together. Another thing I find incredibly chic is

(18:26):
when someone has like really really healthy hair and you
can just tell that they're up to date with their
hair appointments, They're up to date with their hair mass,
their hair is looking extra shiny, they brush through it,
it's nice and smooth. Like when I see someone that
has healthy hair, I will tell them, I'll be like,
your hair is insane, Like I will compliment them because

(18:46):
I think that's such.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
A hard thing to master, and I don't know.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
I just feel like it's such a gift to have
beautiful hair, and when you actually put the effort in
and you take care of it, you can just tell
that they're putting in the effort for it. So having
really healthy hair is definitely something that I admire.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Like, I definitely could work on mine.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
I try my best to take care of it as
much as I can, but I do feel like I
could be better at like maintaining hair mass and I
wear my hair up a lot. Okay, I am lazy
because I have a lot of hair, but I probably
could be better at finding ways to like style it,
and yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Just be like better with my hair in general.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Another thing I love is handwritten letters or physical journals
and planners. You guys know that I love the physical planners.
I think this is such a game changer writing everything out.
I love when someone has like perfect cursive writing. I wish,
I wish, and maybe I could actually work on it.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
That's something that I could definitely do. But I wish
I had good cursive writing.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Because when I see someone with like a notebook and
they're just kind of like journaling out their day and
it's all in cursive writing, I'm like, I aspire to
be like that. I literally aspire to have that beautiful handwriting.
It's just like something that is so beautiful that I
think is something that a lot of people don't think about.
So maybe that's something I can I haven't even done

(20:11):
my journaling today. I'm gonna actually try and do it
in cursive today, just for fun and just for shits,
to see how my cursive looks like, because I do
not remember the last time I did cursive writing besides
like my signature when I sign stuff for contracts for
work or paperwork for the bank or whatever. But I
definitely need to just try and cursive writing out. I'm
going to try that today. Another thing that I find

(20:32):
incredibly chic is anything tortoise, So you know, like that
tortoise pattern. I love tortoise glasses. I love tortoise hair brushes,
you know, tortoise hair clips, Like I love anything that's
in a tortoise print. I think it's so neutral, but
it's just like a really nice, like added detail that
makes it different than the basic black or white hair clip,

(20:55):
hair brush, anything like that.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Another thing I find.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Chic is a really nice hair brush. I love the
brand EMYJ. There's also a brand that's pretty expensive. I
think it's like three hundred dollars for a hairbrush. That's
kind of ridiculous, but that like miss a brand. I
don't even know if that's the brand. I forget what
the brand's called, but it's like this really expensive hairbrush.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I'm sure you guys know.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
What I'm talking about. The people post on TikTok it
is beautiful. I just don't know if it's worth the
three hundred dollars. If you have it, let me know
if it's worth it. But I do find having a
nice hairbrush makes your everyday like hair routine just feel
more elevated. And I don't know, there's something about just
having a good hairbrush that feels very chic. Another thing
I love that I find very chic is when someone

(21:39):
has designer candles. I think it just looks really, really
elevated in a home. I've invested in a few designer
candles and can truly say that I love them and
adore them. And they do take a while to burn too,
which is nice, so you are getting something that has
a bit of longevity.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Out of it.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
And I also reuse the candles and I'm done with it,
so I'll clean out the jar, and I'll use it
as like a pen holder or a makeup brush holder,
Like you can repurpose it and use it for different
things as well. So I do think it's worth the
price tag and something that I find just like elevates
your space in your home. And they also smell incredible.
Another thing I find very chic is eyeglasses. You guys

(22:21):
know that I love my Oval Tortoise eyeglasses. I literally
wear them all the time. Some people think that I
have a prescription. I do not have a prescription. I
literally wear these for blue light like purposes only. And
it's so funny because when I was in high school,
I actually used to be obsessed with buying fake glasses
off Amazon.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
This is before like blue light glosses.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Even existed, and my mom always just thought it was
so weird. She's like, why do you love eyeglasses so much?
And I just always loved them because I felt like
it was just such a nice addition to your clothing pieces.
So depending on what you're wearing, sometimes I find an
outfit would look better if I had eyeglasses on verse
without I don't know, that's just maybe me. I feel

(23:00):
like I kind of took a deep dive in fashion
when it comes to that sense.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
But I really love detail. I really pay attention to
that stuff.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
So if I'm wearing an outfit that is missing something
and I feel like it needs eyeglasses or sunglasses, I
feel like that little detail makes a huge difference in
an outfit.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
And I just love the square or.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Oval eyeglasses paired with a nice outfit, especially during the
fall in cozy season.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
I think it's just like a nice look.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Obviously a lot of people have like the Mewmeu ones
or the ones from Amazon that are like a good dupe.
The ones that I have are from the brand Bonnie Clyde,
and I wear them all the time, and I love
them so so much, and I literally wear them all
the time. Another thing I find very chic is iemass
in the morning. So I try my best to do
this like three times a week, but I do find
having eyemass on when I'm doing my skincare or going

(23:48):
on a walk on my treadmill, or just kind of
like habit stacking in a way, right, so doing my
eyemass while doing something else in the house. Sometimes I'll
wear my eyemass driving to Bolotti's like, I don't really care,
but I feel very put together when I have imass on.
Another one is having a hobby that's different and unique
from other people. So girls who horseback ride or girls

(24:11):
who you know are in a tennis club, Like I
find that very unique and different and makes me think
that you're very cool because you do something different and unique.
I would really love to make this a huge priority
for myself, either next summer or next year.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
In general, is just.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Like picking up a new hobby because like an activity,
sorry like hobbies. Obviously there's stuff that I want to
do at home, like I've been doing the water coloring book.
My sister's been doing needle pointing, which I want to try.
But when it comes to like an activity of like
a hobby that's like very unique.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
I really like that.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
I grew up playing sports, and I feel like I
just kind of grew out of that phase. Like I'm
not really overly loving my sports anymore. I just want
to do something different. But it would be nice to
have something on a weekly basis, whether it is going
to learn how to play tennis or it is learning
how to horseback ride something like that. Right, Like I
just feel like it's very cool and different. And I

(25:07):
like when it's something different because, like I think, you feel.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Unique and cool.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I don't know, I don't know how to explain it,
but I think it's just a really cool feature. I
also find having a cozy robe very chic. I am
a robe girl. I love my robe so so much.
I actually need a new one. I've had the same
one for almost a year and a half and I
do love it so so much. But I wouldn't mind
getting a new one just to kind of feel I
don't know, new and have something different. But a cozy robe,

(25:35):
I think is a staple. And I just love having
a robe and walking around in a robe in the
house when I'm making a.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Coffee in the mornings. It just feels like I'm put
together when I have a good robe.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
This is very specific and maybe very niche, but I
do really love the wired headphones. I find it's so
funny how you know the air pods come out the
Bluetooth aspect, the Airmax pros, Like, obviously everyone's hyping about
these extremely expensive headphones, and then now all the girls
want the wired headphones again. Where it just looks cool
when some girl has like wired headphones on. I'm just like, oh, okay,

(26:10):
So anyways, it's just like something that I think is
very like, not common that you see, And so when
you see a girl wearing it, I think it just
looks really really put together. I feel like it's also
a very Pinterest thing to do. I feel like I
see a lot of girls on Pinterest taking cute photos
with the wired headphones, and when I.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
See a photo like that, I just feel like I'm
very drawn to it.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I feel like it has a very aesthetic look to it,
and yeah, I just feel like it's a very nice addition.
I also love glass water bottles. There's just something about
a clear glass water bottle that looks very chic. I
imagine a girl like on the treadmill walking in her
like really nice workout set that's all matching with a
glass water bottle in the treadmill holder like that. To me,

(26:51):
she just looks very put together. She has her shit
in gear. So I really love the way that looks.
I also love when I see girls collecting matches, when
they go to a restaurant or a place that has
a branded matches that you can grab and take home,
and they have a collection in a bowl, either at
their front table or their coffee table. I think it's

(27:13):
just like really cool to like have something that you collect,
and I just have seen a lot of people do
the matches, and I think.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
It looks really really good. I obviously love a matching set.
I think having a matching PJ.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Set on, or a matching workout set or sweatset, I
think we can all agree that you just feel ten
times more put together and you feel like your outfit
is definitely looking like you put effort towards it. So
I definitely love when I have a matching set on,
and I always try and make sure that the colors
are still very neutral, like I love having a matching

(27:46):
white set, a matching black set, a matching gray set.
I would say gray is probably my favorite color that
I ever wear because it's.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Not white, but I feel like gray is not too
dark like black. But I don't know, I just feel
like it really like looks nice on my skin tone.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Another color actually that I love is cream, like a
beautiful cream knit sweater or a matching cream like workout
set or cream sweat set. I think it looks really
really put together. Cream and gray are probably my two
favorite colors when I'm wearing a matching set, for sure.
I also love when someone has their bed like perfectly made,

(28:25):
Like if someone were to take a picture of their
bed and you can just see that they have like
a very fluffy duvet cover. You know, they've tucked the
sheets in under the bed like in the bed frame.
They have like really large pillows that are like just
you know, down feathered, and they're doing the karate chop
on the pillows. Like I don't know, like that to me,
if your bed just like looks good, I know you

(28:45):
probably smell good and you probably look good too, Like
I don't know how to explain it, but someone that
has a perfectly created bed, I'm like, wow, that is stunning.
I just know for a fact that you have your
shit together. I also love anything leather, so leather pants,
leather trench coat, leather jacket. I also love like leather accessories,

(29:06):
So like a leather passport holder, a leather laptop case,
leather gloves.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
That's a really good Christmas gift idea.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
I know that we're not talking about that, but like
anything leather that has a small detail for accessories. As
I said, like those ideas right there that I just
listed I think are such great Christmas.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Gift ideas that anybody would love. I also love like
that crock leather look. I truly just.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Find that's like a really nice gift to receive. Okay,
we have two more things when it comes to things
that I find very chic. So the next one being
fresh flowers in your home in the summer. When I
see someone with fresh hydranges on their coffee table, wow,
I don't know how to explain that that feeling, that look.
It just looks super clean, It looks super chic. I

(29:50):
aspire to have my hydrangees actually lost in my house
for more than four days, because I don't know about
you guys, but my hygdranges constantly die and they look
good for two days, and by day three I'm trying
to recut the stems, I'm trying to change the water,
and literally by day four they're like they're dying. They're done,
and I'm like, okay, we need to change this up.
So I ended up buying fake ones, which I think

(30:11):
look really nice. But when there's fresh flowers in the house,
I do truly find that it just elevates the look
so so much. And another thing that I find chic
is looking expensive for an affordable price.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
And what I mean by that is when you go
up to a.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Girl and you're like, oh my god, I love your outfit,
Like where is it from? Usually I'm thinking like Revolve
or Ritzy. Like I'm thinking, oh, she spent a lot
of money on this outfit, and they're like, oh, yeah,
I just caught this from Amazon. I'm like, wow, you
look good, Like I need the link, send me the link.
When I just see someone look expensive and knowing that
they have an affordable price point around it.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
It just is so cool to me and so chic.
So I feel like that's like a talent.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
If you can find really good things at affordable price,
I think that's really hard to master. And yeah, I
feel like it's just something that I his spy, and
I think it's a really nice way to just kind
of like elevate your wardrobe but also not having to
pay a heavy.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Price tag for it.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Okay, So those are twenty five things that I just
listed for things that I find incredibly chic. Another thing
that I wanted to quickly chat about is my current
favorites because someone on my Instagram actually DMed me recently saying,
oh my god, you need to do an updated other
podcast episode or video on like your current favorites. So
I'm like, you know what, I'm going to tie it
into today's podcast episode because I feel like, you know,

(31:30):
it's fall. And obviously there's been a few things that
I've purchased recently or just like trends or styles that
I've loved that I'm really trying to bring into my
life or wardrobe that just are really nice to me
and really cheek to me. So the first one being
I love anything with a high neck, like either a
mock neck sweater or like a high neck jacket. I

(31:53):
have been loving the leather jackets that are super high neck.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I think it's a very.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Classy and something that I feel like I would have
in my wardrobe for a very long time.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
I think it's also because I wear my hair up
a lot.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
I feel like like a slick back ponytail with like
a high neck sweater or a high neck jacket just
look really really chic and very elevated. Something else that
I find something else that I'm actually asking for Christmas
for my parents because my parents are like, what do you.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Want for Christmas?

Speaker 1 (32:20):
And obviously I'm at the age where I'm basically buying
everything for myself. Like if I see a handbag, I like,
it's what I like, I'm just buying it myself. I'm
not gonna, you know, add it to my Christmas list
for my parents, just because I'm at that age where like,
if I like something, I just buy it myself. But
I'm trying to think of things for my new house
that I would really appreciate as a gift that I
feel like I would use a lot for myself or

(32:41):
for hosting. And one specific thing that I've been looking
a lot at lately is like a very antique coffee
cup set or like a tea dishware set where it's
like a stainless steel like tea cup with you.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Know, matching cups and I don't.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Know explain it, like the silver tray, like it's kind
of giving European antique vibes, Like I see a lot
of people sell it from like Creighton Barrel and all that,
but I really want to try and like find one
that's like vintage, whether it's from Etsy or Facebook marketplace,
like I love that like Paris inspired European inspired dish set,
So that's something that I think would be really really

(33:21):
nice to have. I also love, as I said, anything,
leather has been something I've really been loving right now,
So leather accessories like a passport holder or toiletry bags.
I especially love when there's monogrammed print on it. So
whether it's your initials or your name being monogrammed on
like a leather accessory, I think that's really really cute

(33:42):
and again something that I'm probably gonna ask for for Christmas.
Another thing that I've been currently loving is clear tinted sunglasses.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
So this is something that I'm currently on the hunt for.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I don't have a pair of these yet, but I
keep searching different brands. I know YSL has a lot
of good brands clear tinted sunglasses, but I'm sure you
can also find some off Amazon that are a good dupe.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
I just like like the way tinted sunglasses look. I
don't know if they look good on me, but I
like the way they look on other people. Like every
time I see someone wear it, I'm like, she looks
so cool. I just find it a very like I
don't know, effortlessly cool detail that someone adds to an outfit.
And again back to the leather love leather trench coats.
I've been wearing my leather trench coat so much, my

(34:27):
leather bomber jacket I've been wearing a lot again during
the colder months. I'm currently on the hunt for leather
pants that are a low rise. This has been very
difficult to find, to be honest, I actually recently saw
someone post about a low rise pant from a Ritzia
that are that like leather pant looks. So I'm gonna
try and hunt those down, especially because it's Black Friday.

(34:49):
I think there's sales stirts in a few days, so
I might need to take a peek at that. But
I don't have a good pair of leather pants, like
I have a good pair of leather leggings that I
bought like five or seven years ago when that was
very in, but I don't.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Really wear them or gravitate to them anymore.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
So I want to try and get a good pant
that I feel like I would wear a lot. I
also have been loving matching manny and petties, so like
French manicure in a French pedicure like that to me, again,
very chep, but it's just something I've been loving. So
every time I go get my nails done, I try
and do both at the same time and just get
the same thing on my hands and feet, and I
think it looks really put together. Speaking about pants, I

(35:29):
have been loving low rise pants.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
I talked about low rise jeans.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
I've talked about the low rise leather pants, like, I'm
only buying lowers pants lately, and I don't know why.
I just think it looks so good with every single
top that I style it with. I just haven't really
been into my midrise. Like every time I put my
midrise pants on now, I'm kind of like something's off,
and then I put my lowerrise pants on and I'm like, Okay,
it looks better.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
It looks perfect.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
So it could be maybe just because I like my
body with a lowers pant better.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
It could be just like a personal thing, but I
I really really love that lower ice pants are back
because it makes me really happy finding like a baggy,
lowerrised pant to style for like dinner out or kind
of just like an everyday look. Obviously, coats and jackets
have been like my favorite thing ever this season. And
I also love a good fur coat, especially around this

(36:18):
time of the year for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Like having really nice outfits.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
With a fur coat or like a fur detail on
like a holiday dress for a holiday party, I think
is so so beautiful. Every time I'm shopping for like
some type of event during the holidays, I'm always looking
for something with fur on it.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
I just think it looks really really nice. And then
the last two things are jewelry related. I just ordered
a few new jewelry pieces. I feel like I've been
in my jewelry era right now.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
I feel like jewelry has been something that I've been
wanting to kind of revisit, like kind of change.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Up my current jewelry pieces.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
And I really love like mini watches or like a
diamond pendant necklace, like again, something very simple but kind
of has an nice, elevated, detailed look to it. I think, honestly,
just investing in jewelry pieces is so worth it because
it's something that you're gonna have for such a very
long time. I still have a lot of things that

(37:13):
i've splurged on that I wear literally every single day.
But then there's also things that I've like ordered from
Amazon that I wear for literally six months and then
I don't ever wear it again. So I think it's
worth investing in it because you're gonna wear it so
much more, I feel like. So that's just a personal thing,
but yeah, those are kind of like my current favorite
trends and things that I've been doing or purchasing lately

(37:35):
that have been my favorite these past few months.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
But that is today's episode. I hope you guys enjoyed it.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
This is again something that I just saw through social
media that I wanted to share. And I feel like
these little things, like you're investing in yourself, and I
do think it makes you feel just more put together.
And I think doing these little things can really make
you feel like you're really elevating yourself, you're really redefining
yourself and kind of creating this vision that you wanted

(38:03):
for yourself. So I hope you guys enjoyed it, and
I really enjoyed talking about it. So I love you
guys all so much. Thank you guys for listening to
another episode. If you guys are no definitely make sure
to follow at the Hawkgirl Energy Instagram page. You can
also follow me Kaylee. I'm on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

see you guys in next week's episode.

Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
