Speaker 1 (02:53):
I know that my intro was so good that you
guys were just flabberg acid.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
But I was pretty good.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I promise you. I did. I did say. My name
is Gretly.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Welcome home, guys.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Guys, we do start off every episode with an alcoholic
beverage of some sort. Today is no different, and today
I think even Ryan's prepared, so we'll start with We'll
start with him this time.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Uh. Well, I man, I gotta turn the game down
on this mic. But I got I'm.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Pretty I see your gains there.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Broke.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
I'm pretty broke. I'm pretty broke right now, but I
still have this giant bottle of vodka. So I'm like
gonna I have vodka and Coors Light, because that's that's
where we're at these days. But hey, you know what,
the rent's paid and and I'm going I'm finally, finally
back on track.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
So there we go.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I'm gonna give you a clap for that one play
Ryan Ryan's Life is.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Back on track?
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Yeah, a little bit, A little bit. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I don't know how we're gonna do after this bottle
of but you know well, I'll destroy it again if
it makes you feel any better. I totally fucked up
in the amount of vodka that I poured my drink
right now, but I'll tell you that really as soon
as Ricky C tells me what are you drinking?
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Whoa? I am drinking hazy?
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Oh me, I'm so surprised that you as getting discussions.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Okay, put my hands.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
I can't open this bottle now.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
I'm drinking this hazy double I p a from Highland
Park Brewery. It's called No Stress something, Uh, I think
I've been trying to have during these stressful times?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
No stress?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Can you certainly.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Helping point that up again? Was it the can No
Stress a Park Brewery?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Nice? It's been real cool can and it's eight percent nice. Nice?
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I see the chat we got some people doing some
Drinki's out there, fat tired beer, frozen hurricane cock tale.
I have a regular hurricane beer in my fridge. So
after seeing Ryan's, it's actually okay. So the fucking weather
here in southern California, and I'm sure actually a lot
around the whole world is is fucked up. It's it's weird.
Last week, I was fucking freezing my ass off. I
(05:15):
turned my my heater on, like the first time. It
was raining apple juice too. Just see you know, oh,
are you just taking straight shots?
Speaker 5 (05:23):
I'm gonna take I'm gonna take a shot in between
beers because these beers aren't enough to get me hammered.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
You see what I'm saying. That makes sense.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
You and I are actually in similar areas as far
as alcohol content consumption right now, because what I was
saying was, like, the fucking weather is weird yesterday or
last week, cold as fuck this week, at least in
southern California, hot as fuck, like I tip, like I
I went to uh fucking Hollywood today and uh salsa.
(05:55):
Actually I'm taking dance classes with jazz in Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
It green or red. It is red and hot salsa and.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Dude, it's it's it's interesting, like this is the first
time I've done like I guess you could call it cardio,
because I mean it's a lot of cardio, but like
with a mask one.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Like this is horrible.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I kind of breath through my nose, yeah, but it's doable,
which is Karen, You're like.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
I can't breathe. I haven't fucking have a disorder.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
No, no, And I had like a full on medical
mask because the only thing that I found and really
bugged me is when I tried to inhale through my nose,
it like kind of got sucked in through my nostrils
a little bit. I could only breathe through my mouth,
which is still fine, but it was just like not ideal.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yeah, but no, really super fun.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
She's she's a great teacher, and honestly, like there's people
that know how to do stuff and aren't great teachers,
but she was actually like really really good And for
anyone in watching or listening right now, I'd highly recommend
if you're looking for dance lessons, either via zoom or
if you want in person in a southern California, LA area,
then then definitely.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Check her out.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Uh, she's been having a nice shot, salude, I'm not
gonna take a shot because I poured back to this
way too fucking hot, And so I poured uh, So
I got I got went to Costco and I got
a twenty four pack of these you can see these.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
These are the Kirkland Hard siltzers.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Hey, have you had the Moon?
Speaker 5 (07:28):
It's called like fuck, it's a it's it's vodka and soda.
It's not a selter, but it's it's called like fucking
moon or something like the Moon something or other. But
it's really good.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
I haven't tried that one yet. This that's basically what
I'm drinking right now is vodka and soda. Because what
I did is because these are only five percenters, which
are great for like if you're having like a little
chill day or whatever.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
But not not if you want some some punch punch.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
So I also had the Kirkling vodka in my freezer,
and when I went to pour it in my glove
ass and my you know Slytherin cup over here, poured
way too much, like it just like can it can?
Speaker 2 (08:07):
I'm like you can't.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
I can just put it back in the bottle.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
So yeah, mix the.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Vodka with already in one can of this and.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
Then with hard seltzs already. Huh you're putting vodka already
in the hard seltz Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
It's it's amping the hard shelter, it's making it harder.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, I feel it.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Mock hard shelter.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
It's like, uh it's selter.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Uh. Yeah, that's a Disney plus sound.
Speaker 7 (08:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
But so yeah, well we'll see I already feel it
like my like my internal body temperature is going up
and beer makes your body temperature higher.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Read that in a beer magazine magazine, as we all know.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
So we'll see how we are. Ryan and I both are.
At the end of the show last.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Week, we got to do something crazy. Now I don't know. Yeah,
you did a shot with us bro I guess yeah.
My wife might get mad at me for what.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Here. We had a good podcast, babet patriot. This would
not just bust out of course banquet Cobra cast style dude.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
Okay, has anyone else been watching Cora because.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Cobra kuy for so long?
Speaker 2 (09:34):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
I don't everything you say I listened about and and
they rolled my eyes.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
Yeah, so that's so you you just accept you just
said exactly what my what my thing is with you,
So don't get mad at me when I don't listen
to your bullshit either.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
I don't appreciate you. I don't appreciate you doing that
to me.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
I don't.
Speaker 8 (09:54):
Know.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I do remember you saying, cobra k what about Rick Ricky?
Have you seen Cobra Kai yet?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
No? Not yet.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
I started it, and I'll tell you this in one day.
In one sitting, I went from episode one, uh, season
one to episode seven season two.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Oh shit you? Oh yeah, i'd binge the whole third season,
but it came out, so.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah, I haven't gotten there. I'm I'm on the episode.
I'm still on episode seven because I've been busy.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
But when it was on YouTube, I even watched it.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Then Oh really yeah see okay, so I paid for
for YouTube Premium. But then I looked and it wasn't
the same as YouTube red, so I don't think I
got YouTube read day mixed. It doesn't exist anymore. Okay,
maybe that's just what it was, but I was like, yeah,
I went when when I finally got the YouTube premium,
(10:48):
I looked for Cobra Kai I think specifically, and they
couldn't find it. Then it on Netflix, and and then
I think it was like last week that I started
watching it. And I'll tell you this, I get why
people have problems with it. It is not the best
acting by any means, but huh premium, Oh you mean?
Oh right, I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Okay, but it is.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
It's fun.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
It's it's so much.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
That's what I'm saying. It's very cheesy, very Cheesy's like.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
A soap opera with a bigger budget, better cameras.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
I think I think they were just really trying to
get that.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
You know what, I'll say, it's like a it's like
a soap opera with better cameras than martial arts.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Yeah, I think the uh, that's what I'm saying. I
think that they were just trying to What they were
going for is like that, you know, that kind of
eighties style, you know, drama the way you know, the
way the Karate Kid is. And I think they really
fucking nailed it. It's like they they but they still
managed to keep it funny, lighthearted, but also like pretty
heavy and dramatic and certain points too.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
You know, I think it.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Would be even more dramatic if it was real, if
it was real life, there is a lot of ship
that goes down, but there's all there's a lot of
random things that are just larious. And I'll tell you this,
there's one moment I'm not I don't know, I'm not
gonna ruin it, but there was one moment where I will,
I will say this. That was in Johnny the Blonde Guy.
John Yeah, John Johnny, his one liners are are some
(12:16):
fucking gold. There was one scene where, uh, Ryan will know,
I'm not I'm not gonna spoil it for the people.
Speaker 5 (12:23):
I love his character so fucking much. I'm just like
that would be that I'd be Johnny like now, basically,
are you just don't know how to fight? Pretty much?
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Uh? He When he gets some new recruits, he says
something to one kid and I didn't even see it
coming and it made me fall out of my chair.
I don't know which one you're talking about exactly, but
later but either way, it's I actually do recommend that
show now if anyone's interested in checking out.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
That's what I love about it too. It's just like
it's kind of like still dancing on this like PC line,
you know, what I mean, because he's just he's just
in a they play it in such a such a
great that's the character and it makes sense for someone
like him to be that way exactly. That's why I
love it, Like they're kind of just dancing on that line,
but but playing it in a such a brilliant way
to where it's like he's learning from the kids, just.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Like this is one races like fucking massage as motherfucker.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
But I mean, like, I don't like.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
It very likable, you know.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Well that's the things like I don't like him or
appreciate him or respect but I'm like, well I'll watch him,
I'll watch it do some stuff and then for him
when bad shit happens.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
But that's yeah, that's what I'm saying. He's like, he's
a lovable loser, you know. And that's that's why you
get so invested because and that's why I love the
character development so much, because you start to see him
kind of have this arc.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Where he's that is that is probably the biggest thing
going for Tobra Kai and why I like it. It
is all about that. Yeah, The martial arts part is
a fun gimmick and because obviously it's based off of
a beloved eighties franchise and Barney Stintson's theory and Barney
Stinton's theory, which was definitely.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
They just they did a great job with it, and
I love I was gonna bring up a point and
totally forgot what it was. Either way, really good. Definitely recommend.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
The only thing the only thing I had of there's
the only thing that bugs me the most is like
it's like you want, you want to like really enjoy
it as like a fan of like Karate Kid and stuff,
but then it's like when the old dudes fight, Dude,
You're just like, this is sad.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
I don't know if you you followed I know you've
heard of them, but if you follow honest trailers, they
did one for Cobra Kai.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Oh did they Oh, I gotta check it out, and.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
I stopped watching because they started getting into season three
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
But but uh.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
But up to the point they definitely mentioned the fact
that that that Daniel Soon he's like he's like he's
all about karate except you can definitely tell he hasn't
been practicing the first kick you see him, do you
know in the car dealership, like I was watching.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
That, like, really, well, well it gets better.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
I know, I know that, but I was like, did
he stretch that goes up like that?
Speaker 5 (15:08):
No?
Speaker 2 (15:08):
I know, wow, uh no.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
But but like by by season three is like action
packed and there's a ton of fighting among a lot
of like all of them, and you can tell, you
can tell they've all gotten progressively better. The entire cast.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Definitely.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I think season one was definitely the experiment. Season two.
They were into it in season three, especially once they
found out that Netflix picked them up, Like everyone got
their asses.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
He who plays Miguel really kicks ass. I mean, he's
he's like actually, like you could tell he's he's been
he's trained pretty damn hard.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
You know, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
And you know, as someone who actually like took martial arts,
I appreciate that so much that it made me really
wish that, you know, first of all, anyone could do
something like that anymore, or that my martial arts studio
was open again. So, you know, tear bending, which is
actually sucked. I remember during the beginning of the the
beginning of the pandemic, I actually reached out to the
(16:03):
one of the younger senses of We never called it
a dojo, I don't know, it was a fucking martial
arts studio. Uh, And so I reached out to him
and I was like, Hey, would you be interested in
doing a zoom martial arts class? And he totally fucking
ghosted me.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
After that, I was like, you.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
Can he's a fuck you that's bullshit.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
What I happened to be honest, like, like, okay, So
during the beginning of the pandemic, I was all about, dude,
you know, this is the perfect time to start doing
different series with different people. Then I reached out to
a bunch of different people and they all said no,
and I was like, okay, yeah, uh great.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
So you know that's like.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
One of the Yeah, it's just work working with the
downside to working with people is working with people.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
That's all I could really say about on the matter.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
But yeah, either way, I would love to be to
be able to do imagine that, like, you know, fucking April,
may you know we have a fucking martial arts show
on like on the channel or whatever.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
That would have been awesome.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
I'd love to you know what. You know, you know,
my grandpa used to be a taekwondo instructor.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
I don't think I knew that.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
Yeah, not crazy either.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Has he ever liked did you ever train with them
or do anything.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
That I did when I was a kid for a
little bit, but not very long. Him and my uncle
from the Air Force. He has his own studio. He
had his own studio before he got sick, and like
fucking Rancho and so I used to I used to
go and like he would pay me to like videotape
their sessions and ship like that and like edit together
a little videos for him.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Nice resizing this, I can see better.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
It wasn't you know, the biggest the biggest gripe I
had with with Cobra Kai though, and so is that
kid Robbie had never set foot on his fucking skateboard
in his entire life. And you can totally tell. So
they like there's these scenes where he's hanging out with
(18:15):
the bad kids, or he's going to the skate park
and stuff. I'm like, that kid does not know how
to skate, Like he's so off. It's like like it's
a miracle he knows karate because he can.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
I'm pretty sure when they cast him they didn't ask
are you a skater? Or or did they ask are
you really good at fucking karate?
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yeah? I remember putting so when I watched the first
season when I rewatched it when I was on Netflix again,
because I would I didn't watch the full season on YouTube.
I watched like the first three episodes, right, I didn't
really get too much into it, But so I rewatched
the first season when it came out Netflix, and when
I put I put on Facebook, I was like, the
only thing worse than the bad karate and cobra kai
is the bad skateboarding.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
The adults are kind of mad.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Yeah, yeah, well that's what I was saying, because that
first episode, uh, you know, the only person you see
do karate is Johnny and oh and and and I
was rusty.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
I was like, yeah, but it's a lot of fun
and I should really jump.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Is it is? And fucking uh Lrusso's daughter be thick
word Yeah yeah she got them hips man.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Just just a clear all the actors are over your teen.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yes, yeah, but it is good.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
And then I don't know, I got I think it's
because it's so rare too to find like women that
do martial arts and stuff like that, at least you know,
and I've met three of them that didn't go to
my actual martial arts place, and so I was like,
nice when they when when they when they actually like fight,
(20:03):
I'm like, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
Yeah yeah, well, I mean I'm not gonna I don't Okay,
I'm trying not to spoil this, but but that that
final scene in season.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Two, okay, yeah, I haven't got that far.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
So oh, you haven't gotten that far to the season
two episode seven is where I'm at. Oh my god, dude, Okay,
you need I want you to call me when you
watch that, because it's one of the fucking most it's
one of it's seriously, yeah, the last episode of season two.
It's because you, you know, as a martial arts fan,
like at least fan of martial arts movies and ship
(20:36):
like that, like you know, you and I grew up
watching fucking Rumble in the Bronx Mumbach and fucking you know,
the Protector and ship like that. Watching that, I was.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Remember the first time we heard of everyone was fucking
all about it exactly. So like I think that if
if we actually had Cobra Kai in our town, we
would be going to one of those for sure.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
Yeah, I would. I'd be I'd be the biggest piece
of ship like hawk yeahs an assholes.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
But I love his ARC, dude, I love it.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Man, It's like on ARC and like I did not
see that coming even yeah, but but still like, I
don't know, I don't know if I would. I don't
think I would. I would last at Cobra Kai. If
I went, I would go. I would definitely join Yagi do.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Oh no, i'd I'd be. I'd stay in Cobra.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Kai, like, especially especially if What's your face Daniel Soun's
daughter was there.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
Well, I was all over. I liked what's what's the
other girl's name?
Speaker 1 (21:34):
The one she's definitely like bad But I just had
to with the same age, go and go. I'll see
what's up with Doniel Sons.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
I would have sucked up Robbie a long time ago,
if you could.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
He has them hands. He has them hands for show.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
He's pretty, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I'm sorry, I will spoil. It's not a spoiler. It's
in the honest trailer and I didn't even notice it.
But if you watch, like go back to the episode,
you'll see this. They talk about Robbie and then they're
like and he does. He does things so well except
closes his mouth and then they show a montage of
different scenes where he's just standing there and he's like
(22:17):
his mouth is for no reasons, Like.
Speaker 5 (22:20):
Yeah, there's something about his face that really bugs me.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
But I don't know, Yeah, do you want to get
one of these?
Speaker 2 (22:27):
For sure?
Speaker 5 (22:29):
He's just too pretty, you know, it's just too his hair.
He's got a very punishable face. You just you know,
like like like what he says in Fight Club when
he when when he beats the ship out of a
Jared Letto, he's like, he's like, I just wanted to
I just wanted to ruin something beautiful.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Yeah, I'm not annoyed by him. I actually I actually
find it very nice that they didn't go to the
route that that most places or most shows that I
think would take this character of someone who who kind
of grew up in a bad sort of crowd and
Pepper in moments of him slipping up, No, he's just
(23:09):
he's like, I fucking need to make my life better.
And he at least until this point, I don't know.
Past this point, I'm like, he's doing a good job.
So I appreciate that because there's a lot of shows
that that do that very stereotypical thing where it's like
he came from bad crowd, so he's gonna slip up
here and there and this.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
And then, and I was like, no, just try, how
about you try?
Speaker 1 (23:30):
And then yeah, I don't know, we'll see where his
architect them later, but yes, I would punch him in
the face.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Yeah, he's got a very punsable face. M hm. So yeah,
I got into that.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
And then we didn't talk about this obviously because we
don't have a show last week, but fucking the King
Kong versus Godzilla trailer, Oh my god, I love first
and foremost. I love that song. And I played that
song over and over again when I was even working
out to that song.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Dude, you just do you guys know the song?
Speaker 1 (24:01):
I don't remember the song a little bit, so we
don't get like pulled or whatever. But it's uh was
his name Chris Klassic or something? Yeah, but yeah, it's
in the trailer and it's fucking fire to me, Like
I think it's amazing. Let me without without getting pulled
on my talk over it. But it's like when the
(24:21):
trailer starts revving up and Godzilla finally shows up and
that the first fight and it's like.
Speaker 5 (24:29):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
It reminded me a lot of the first trailer song
when we had Vince Vince Staples for Black Panther Actually.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
Yeah, well yeah yeah or that or that uh that
come together cover on for just for just really Good too.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
But I was I was working out this song or
last week too.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
That trailer blew my fucking balls off. I don't have
any balls therefore, knaemy kids. So did you guys.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
Ever did I know? I definitely did. I don't know
if you guys did, though. Did you guys ever watch
the like the old school you know, nineteen what fifties
Godzilla movies?
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Dude?
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Okay, so this is this is an interesting thing, yes,
and and there's like a history behind it. So Mithia
she's a teacher. She's been a teacher, like as long
as I've known her, and every summer since I can remember,
I've always helped her clean up her classroom over the summer,
so that you know, during the school year, she was
(25:38):
good to go. And I remember very early on she
had like you know, back in the day when we
had VHS tapes, right, she had a fucking closet full
of them that she would you know, some of some
were just like her own things that she would whatever like.
But one of them she showed it to me very young,
was I don't even know the title of this one.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
I just know the exact.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Plot of it. It was Godzilla and his what was
his son, Minyah? It was just called baby Godzilla or
something like Godzilla let me see m god like. And
then when we were a kid, there was also his
other son or whatever in the cartoon version.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah, fuck god Zookie. Yeah he was Emo.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
Dad, my own my own dinosaur, okay.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Minya son.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Uh or son of Godzilla.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I think it might have been yeah, because because it's
a Japanese name.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
So I totally have no idea.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
But I'm gonna put his face on screen right now
just so we're let's see. I can do this now
right yeah, stop sharing that screen, share this screen?
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Sorry, guys, this thing? Do you know?
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Do you remember this?
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (27:06):
Has anyone seen this?
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (27:08):
I remember. That's what I'm telling you. I think I
think it might have been like son of Godzilla or
something like that.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
There it is.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
It is the first thing I clicked the son of Godzilla.
That is the very first Godzilla movie I ever saw
as a kid. Yeah, and I think that I've seen
this movie at least ten to twenty times for sure,
because I loved it. It was super cool. The there
was a little Asian kid that for some reason can
(27:34):
just transport himself to fucking Monster Island, right and then
and then there was the little the little fucking Godzilla's son.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Yeah, and instead of fire, he blew these little smoke rings, a.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
Little smoke rings.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, damn bag life. He was all about a babe
life for sure.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
So so yeah, definitely I watched those I was one
of the few people that because I think it came
out when I was so young.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I haven't seen it very recently, but I liked.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
I think I I I genuinely liked and and and
I would definitely watch it again if it was on Godzilla.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Well, they came out in ninety eight. I was just
googling it right now.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Yeah, was I called Godzilla two thousand. It was not
called Zilla two thousand.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
It's just called Godzilla, okay, But yeah, I just googled
it because I was gonna bring it up, because that's
the same reason why I started watching the other ones
because I was obsessed with that movie and I had
I had toys. I had had toys of of the
Godzilla that like you could like it came with this
set that my parents got me, and it was like
you could eat the soldiers and then they would like
(28:42):
come out his back.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Like so.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
Yeah, so like you could you could take out the
back to get the soldiers out, but you can use
the Godzilla to like eat the fucking swallow the soldiers,
which was pretty rad. And uh. And so I was
super obsessed with Godzilla, like you know, I was like
eight and then remind you, this is right, this is
right when my mom and Dave had had just gotten married.
So so I was what like seven eight years old.
(29:07):
We boy saw it in theaters and so so my
dad after that he saw how obsessed I was with
with that Godzilla movie that he would take me every
weekend and go rent to Godzilla movies and we'd watch them.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yeah, so this is a little retroactive where you started
at Godzilla American version, yeah, and then you went back
to the Japanese versions.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
Yeah, so he so he didn't, you know, he just
he tried to like, you know, at least bond and
educate me on those things. So like, yeah, every every
fucking Friday night we go to Blockbuster, get two different
Godzilla and there's so goddamn many, So get another Godzilla
movie and you know, watch it.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Well.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Yeah, so definitely my family. I think we have some
cinophiles in my family for sure. And then growing up
this was I think, I don't even know who this
belonged to, but I inherited it.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
That's the old school.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
That one is the one that's like worth money, but
it's you know, that was the old one that I mean,
that was all it's all outside, but.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
It's it's been outside forever, like just out there in
the toy shit or whatever.
Speaker 5 (30:10):
Yeah, but that was like I brought.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
It in because actually, one one time because I post,
I post on craizelists for people to come get like
my recycling because I don't want to. And so one
this one time someone picked up the recycling and he
saw the Godzilla. He was like, oh shit, can I
can I take that too?
Speaker 2 (30:27):
I'm like no.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
And then since that day, I took it from outside
and I brought it inside.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
I'm like, this is this saying here, Yeah, so, yeah,
it's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
I remember, like, I don't know if you guys did this.
I'm sure a ton of people did. Actually, uh, I
didn't care if it was a water toy or not.
When I took a bath as a kid, I just
put I just fucking put all the toys.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
In the bath.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah, and so like when I was a kid, I
remember definitely having Godzilla in the bathtub for sure.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
I also had like the megazord and stuff. Not a
good idea because they're electronics, but fuck it, I took
the batteries out.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
I at least slightly got electrocute.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
But yeah, no, so the and then I and then
I really liked all these movies. So people on the
internet especially just have so many criticisms about blockbuster style movies,
and it's like, do you not remember just enjoying stuff?
Speaker 5 (31:27):
Yeah, yeah, I know, and and I catch myself doing that.
But then like, but but I don't think I am
I think I think I just we were talking about this.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I get me wrong.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
There's plenty of blockbusters that I'm like, this is horrible,
that are terrible.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
I mean, Wonder Woman eighty four, did you Yeah, I can't.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
I can't defend a lot of Wonder Woman eighty four
and and like all of the Fantastic Beast movies coming
from someone who loves Harry Potter and all the movies.
Speaker 5 (31:55):
See That's what I'm saying. It's like, it's like I
I I always like, fuck, can really take a step
back and try and I'm like doing. Am I just
complaining because I because like I've been spoiled or or
like it.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Really dead, really bad?
Speaker 5 (32:09):
Yeah, and I have to. And that that's why I
even I'll even watch a movie three times before I go, yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
I hate it. I don't know what the fuck is terrible?
You know.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
I will absolutely rewatch wonder Woman eighty four, and which
is also weird because wonder Woman is really good.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
I like original wonder Wan.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
I haven't how many of you have watched rices Skywalker
since the theaters.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
I was doing it and then I watched it and
I hated it, and I never went back.
Speaker 5 (32:41):
And I watched it three times in theaters, and even
the third time I was like, I have Disney Disney
Plus at home, and then and then the same thing.
That's that's exactly my point. And then by the time
I was done with it and I was like, yep, I
still fucking I don't feel it. I hate it. Not good.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
Ricky.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
You said you did rewatch it, not since the years,
but I saw it on the ears.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Twice, okay, and what do you think of it?
Speaker 6 (33:08):
I remember enjoying it the first time, but I also
had a lot of drinks in me because of that
accompany party. Second time I did, I did not enjoy
it as much. And I watched it since.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
That makes me feel bad because I was drunk the
first time and I didn't like it.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
I don't know if I'm.
Speaker 5 (33:27):
I was very drunk the first time I watched it.
I was drunk the first time and I and then
I was like, I wasn't very drunk.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
I just you know.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
I think I took two trips to the bar, which
was like two I pas each trip.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
It was like a three hour movie.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
So I was like.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Yeah, yeah, and uh.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
And I went with Steve. It was just me and him,
and then we were like we walked out and he's like,
what do you think? And I was like huh and
he goes, yeah, yeah, me too.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
I think.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
I think that's a weird feeling too. When you I
remember feeling this and saying this the first time I
saw the Last Fantastic Beast movie. I don't even remember
what it was, what's what's what the sub title or whatever,
but the Last Fantastic Beast movie it.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Was never got that. I never, I never. I tried
watching the first one.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
I was okay with the first one. I was very
very okay with the first one.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
Fine, it was fine, but you know, it didn't it
didn't grasp me the way, the way what's up, Jose
the way you know, the way fucking you know, Harry Potter.
And I still haven't watched rewatched definitely Hollows because I
remember watching definitely Hallows part one and two with you,
and I fucking really loved both of those. Yeah, you
know yeah, And I still have been able to. I don't.
(34:50):
I wish they would put them on something, you know,
something that I already have.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
Obviously, I say, I think they're on Peacock.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
Yeah, something I already have.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
So I watched not going to get Peacock book. People.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
Does Warner Brothers have some sort of fucking deal with HBO?
Like I don't understand why that's not happening.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
Okay, So here's the thing like and this this has
gotten a lot of people angry. So there are licenses
out that make it so that things you would assume
would be on a certain streaming.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
Service are not on there.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Even Disney, who has a majority of their ship on there,
doesn't have everything that they own. And they're they're all
very new, so that that makes sense. And I think
they want to make it so that you kind of
come like you like like Netflix. You I think there's
a lot of articles out there that are like things
that are coming and things that are going from Netflix
(35:40):
this month, blah blah blah, Like they're all licenses even
it's even and that they want to continue to do
that because they make money off of licensing things out right,
So that's one thing that I think bugged me about.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
So they want to they want to stay alive, like
like Netflix can't. Netflix can't at this point. I mean,
they have a lot of great they have a lot
of great fucking original content, but like you know, people
aren't going on Netflix to watch you know, Cobra Kai
over and over again. They're going on to watch The
Office over and over again. You know, in the Office
is now they just took the Office off.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
That's why I think I saw this that Peacock has
different subscription subscription pay levels and it literally someone was like,
they literally just took took the office and made them
the different levels. So you'll get seasons one of two
of the.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
Bay on they did that.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
Yeah, then you'll like, I had no idea on the
next level, and you know they did. They literally tiered
the off season.
Speaker 5 (36:41):
Wow, that is ridiculous. That is some fuckerted.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Truly, I do not see me going further uh than
where I'm at now, which I have. I pay for
Disney Plus. My mom pays for Netflix. Uh, rosso actually
pays for HBO Max.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
I have Steve's Netflix and HBO Max s plus I
think on my computer, but no, no on my Xbox,
but I have my own and.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Your Nett's sister pays for Hulu. I don't want to
go past that.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Well, and then I pays for a bunch of ship.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Yeah, it's what I didn't hear what Ricky said. What
said I'm the only sucker that pays for a bunch
of ship.
Speaker 5 (37:28):
Yeah, well, why don't you know?
Speaker 4 (37:30):
It's synergy. You gotta work together, bro.
Speaker 5 (37:31):
You gotta ask. I'll give you my apple TV login
both of you if you want it. There's some cool ship.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Oh my god, that's what I'm saying, Like, yes, there
are things that I would like to watch, like, for instance,
I think I think Ryan.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Brought it up or someone the uh the what is it?
The guy mac? He has a show on Apple TV
that I want to watch, Mystic Quest. It's fucking great question.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
I would love to watch that. I'm not gonna pay
avenge the whole first seasons really good. Yeah, I'm not
gonna pay for Apple TV to show.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
There's this other show I've been watching on Apple TV
called The Servant. It's an m Night Schamel and Ding
Dong and it's uh it is wild dude. Oh and
Ron Weasley, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (38:17):
And he's he has a New York accent which is
very off putting, but uh, that should be.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
I don't know why you guys know that. That's from right? Oh,
between two friends. Oh yeah, every time someone says off putting,
that is immediately where my mind goes.
Speaker 5 (38:42):
They said that to him, right, they said, yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
It was it was It was Zach eliphan Akis and
and jaylaw Jennifer Lawrence and and he said something about like,
you're very off putting when you're when you do something,
and she's like, you should be off putting, Yeah, because
you're fat.
Speaker 5 (38:59):
And everyone loved everyone loved Jennifer Lawrence because she's just
like one of us.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
You know, she likes pizza.
Speaker 4 (39:06):
I don't have a problem with her, but you have.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
You have a problem with people you you have a
problem with people having not having I.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Think she's great, but I just don't know.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
I don't over hype anybody, but I'm like, you have
a problem with like this, like sens this sensation, you
know that all these people always want to like.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
But you understand she didn't like start it. She's just
doing a job.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
She fed into it. Come on, don't fucking don't maybe, huh,
what would you not if you're a famous like that?
I would, of course I would.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
What is your problem?
Speaker 5 (39:47):
It's not me?
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Woman, also not me problems, that's yeah, but like that,
she's like, and I think that's actually she's doing something smart.
She's been flying under the radar for a while now,
and I think very intentional.
Speaker 5 (40:14):
Well, they tried doing that to like Aubrey Plaza too,
and she fucking really she kind of went under too.
She went, you know, started doing these like indie movies
and ship like that, so that.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Yeah, I love its.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Yeah, I'm still a very big.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Aubrey Plaza fan for She's amazing.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
Did you guys ever watch Ingrid Goes West?
Speaker 2 (40:34):
No?
Speaker 4 (40:34):
But I've heard is it on a thing?
Speaker 1 (40:39):
I have a whole folder on my bookmarks of movies
that I haven't seen that I want to see, and
so I'm going to add that.
Speaker 5 (40:44):
If it's on Hulu. Oh another thing, Rick, is there's
a on Apple TV. Have you watched it yet? I haven't.
I haven't watched yet because I keep telling Steve I'm
gonna watch it with him. But there's this Beastie Boys
to documentary.
Speaker 6 (40:59):
Yeah, I was a one, like you watched it? What
was the first one you watched it and brought it up?
Speaker 2 (41:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (41:05):
Really? Oh yeah, so I haven't. I haven't put it
on yet because we keep I keep saying He's like,
don't watch it without me, bitch, and I'm like, okay,
well fucking hurry up.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Both of you guys haven't watched it.
Speaker 5 (41:16):
Well, we both haven't watched it. Well, the last time
he spent he spent the weekend over here, but we
just got too fucked up.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
The whole time, so.
Speaker 5 (41:25):
He ended up not even putting it on.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Yeah, no, it was really good. Yeah, definitely, I think
he's coming over.
Speaker 5 (41:33):
We gotta do we gotta, we gotta finish editing. Oh
my god, I gotta. I gotta send you guys at
least a partial clips of what I got so far
of this this, this, this thing we're doing. I told
you what's going on, right Cult forty five. Well, I
told you. I asked you guys to be part of it,
but you said you both don't have uh, Halo or whatever, So.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
You don't have Halo five, but we have Halo. Yeah,
Halo doesn't have us. Yeah, well that's for some reason.
Speaker 5 (41:57):
We're doing Halo five.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
So five, Halo four.
Speaker 5 (42:01):
Goddamn yeah, Halo five is available for free if you
have a game pass. So so, so.
Speaker 1 (42:12):
What I was like, game Cast?
Speaker 5 (42:18):
You know, that's another movie that like we always quote that,
like no one fucking knows about.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Thanks for sure?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Where what okay, where are the hot.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Shows?
Speaker 5 (42:33):
I'm pretty sure he's talking about what's her.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Name, regardless of who she said who he's talking about.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
The other one with the boobs. You're digging this literally
trying to save you from this.
Speaker 5 (42:53):
You're like, oh god, stop it, guys. You know I'm
not already exists anyway, what was I saying? What was
(43:13):
I saying?
Speaker 2 (43:14):
Fuck you? Move on? I really don't know. Oh halo
Hello Hello he okay, uh so.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Yeah, so oh we've been editing the video, dude, and
it's coming. It's honestly is like one of the funniest
things I've ever been apart I'm so I'm so excited
for it, and he's editing. No, so Steve. So I
I put together our training montage. So that's done. So
I'll say montage. But tell me it's like a rocky montage,
(43:46):
of course. So I'm gonna send it to you. I'll
see you that clip. It's like it's like fifty seconds.
It's but it's uh but and it took me three
hours of course, right, that's how video editing goes. But
that's done. But we're doing this other thing where we're
kind of like we're doing like a press kind of
(44:08):
junket where we have footage from them talking about us,
and then and we're like at a press conference like
responding to what they said.
Speaker 2 (44:17):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
So we did all that with a green screen and ship,
and so that's gonna be that. That's what that's what
we're all gonna cut together. Steve's coming over this weekend.
We're gonna finish cutting it all together. But I wanted
to show you guys the training montage at least, because
it's fucking hysterical.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
Nice you can be a part of it.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
I was, actually, I'll be honest, I was legit looking
forward to something like this. I really wanted to have
a fun like podcast versus podcast video game thing, but
are not.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
Well, Ricky's the only one. It's on console. Well that's
Chief Collections on Steam. I know. But that okay, Jason,
but that only goes to four, right? Is that what
we discussed?
Speaker 2 (45:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (45:01):
I have them.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
I have the Master Chiefs Collection and then I have five.
So hold on a second, jays Ed, do you have
Halo five? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Probably not anymore?
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Probably not.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Okay, Wait, Gart you.
Speaker 5 (45:23):
Have an Xbox It's only gonna cost you fifteen dollars.
Speaker 4 (45:27):
I have an Xbox three sixty.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Oh you don't have an Xbox one. I thought Jason
hadn Xbox one.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Jason, do you have an Xbox one? There you go, bro,
So if you sign up like I wouldn't want I want.
I would want it to be you, me and Ricky.
Speaker 5 (45:49):
Well, I mean we need a team of five. We
only have fucking three people right now. Say again, what
we need a team of five? We only have three people.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
If you just downgrade a Halo four, just do that.
Speaker 5 (46:02):
Do that. We've established that, dickhead Halo five.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
It's still multiplayer on there.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
I was like, according to my my text logs, we
just said that we couldn't get Halo five, and you
and you didn't text us back.
Speaker 5 (46:14):
Yeah, well yeah you couldn't get at five. I didn't
say I wasn't gonna change the game because you two
couldn't fucking do it. They are putting together. They're the
ones who will challenged us to Halo five.
Speaker 4 (46:23):
But I would imagine if you would also have a
Halo four.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
Why would that make any sense? Halo four came out
on three sixty one sixty.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
I don't know, Bro, I'm not putting together.
Speaker 5 (46:39):
I'm platting.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
You know that if it's Halo four, Ricky and.
Speaker 5 (46:43):
I are in okay. If we do something that we
all if we can do if we can do like
Call of Duty like that, then then I want to
do that.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
But Ricky, Ricky and I are in if it's if
it's Fortnite or spell Break.
Speaker 5 (46:58):
Okay, well we're not doing We're not fucking nerds.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
You totally are what. I don't even know what the
term would be for this.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Selective nerds. I'm gonna nerd out about this, but not
about that.
Speaker 5 (47:17):
Yeah, that's.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Anyway.
Speaker 5 (47:24):
I guess you guys are never gonna play with us.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
That's not our choice, it's yours.
Speaker 5 (47:32):
It's clearly your choice because we same two different games,
even is Xbox?
Speaker 2 (47:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (47:43):
Anyway, Hey, oh how about how about I spotted myself
on the Rainbow Bar and grilled documentary? Did you guys
see that I did?
Speaker 1 (47:52):
I was like, of course you would. I didn't know that.
So where is this documentary?
Speaker 2 (47:58):
It's on?
Speaker 5 (47:59):
Well it came out like a year ago. There were
two years ago, but uh it's now and now it's
streaming on Amazon for free, well if you have Prime.
So so I finally put it on. I had never
never watched it. So I put it on and I
was watching the other night and I went and like
they kept showing footage of the unveiling of the Lemming statue,
(48:22):
and I was there, so I was like, yeah, I
was like I was there, but like I you know,
I thought maybe I had shown up late or whatever.
Like I was like, so I don't think I'm like, yeah,
well whatever, like there's probably no footage of me, right,
And then and then at the end of it, they
show the crowd again and I'm.
Speaker 9 (48:39):
Like, what the fuck there I am, and I'm drinking
a cord.
Speaker 4 (48:54):
It's so it's a documentary on the Rainbow itself.
Speaker 5 (48:58):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, but there's a huge chunk about
let me deny in there.
Speaker 8 (49:03):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
I saw her waiting tables when they were premiering footage
of it.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
Yeah that's cool.
Speaker 5 (49:09):
Yeah, but she's not in it like as the talking head,
like I'm in it. No, no, no, I mean we're
we're both in it, like like just being there.
Speaker 2 (49:19):
You know. Yeah, I get it. That's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
So it's a I didn't even know that was a thing,
to be honest, that there was a documentary about the brand.
Speaker 5 (49:30):
She and I had talked about it when the last
time she was on, but I don't know if we
talked about it on air, But uh, yeah, so so
there's the there's like they show the Lemmy statue. It's
kind of weird the way it's edited because they obviously
were shooting it and interviewed Lemmy before he was dead,
but then they had like a tribute to him like
in the middle of it, which is but also the owner,
(49:52):
the original the original owner of the Rainbow also passed
before this thing came out too, so they talked to
Hi him a lot in the dock and and then yes,
like the there's like three people who aren't even alive
that were in that in that documentary. Yeah crazy, but
(50:14):
the same guy who owned who owns the Rainbow, or
the family that owns the Rainbow also owns the Whiskey.
So so that so it's kind of it's a dock
on both pretty much and where it stands now and everything,
which kind of sucks because this obviously was due to
come out, you know, or it came out pre COVID.
So like all the things that they like, the difficulties
(50:37):
that they're talking about, you know, when the shift of
the sunset strip and how everything is like not very
so rock and roll anymore, Like, yeah, all these things
that they're talking about like you start, you can only
think it's just gotten much worse, you know, for them
because of because of having a fucking deal with COVID
all year.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
You know.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
Yeah, that's that's definitely a thing, especially with restaurants and
and you know, my my own restaurant, which I am
still affiliated with, even though it's it's going on a
year that I haven't worked there, but yeah, I was
on and off and on, and it's so fucking crazy
because it's like one as as a as an employee
of a restaurant, it's it's just like shaking you around basically,
(51:21):
It's like, sure, you're gonna have a job, but it's
gonna be less money and yeah, way more days. Yeah,
like oh now we're closed and oh we're open. You
want to come back?
Speaker 2 (51:32):
You want to.
Speaker 1 (51:34):
Like fucking like crazy that. I'm like, you guys, in
all honesty, I don't see. I emailed this when they
asked me to come back. I was like, I don't
think that I will be able to come back and
until we're fully open and this is all done with
because it's just so hectic as far as how this
goes and this part, but this is definitely a part
(51:56):
of it. I'm not going to make nearly as much
money now exactly then I would have before or I
will after, because but that's that's kind of a thing
is is money would out rule outweigh some risk if.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
It was a certain level, like I am.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
I'm not gonna give you an exact number, but the
amount of money I was making give it to us pretext, Yeah,
I would go back. But the amount of money that
I have basically calculated that I would make right now,
there's nowhere near that, and it's not worth it.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
Yeah, No, I mean I was just I was sitting
out here looking for jobs yesterday, and I was like,
what up.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
Man, Josh, why the fuck does Ryan keep getting shout outs?
You know there's we're here too, motherfucker.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
You guys the only person here. I'm the only person.
Speaker 5 (52:57):
I'm the only person here.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Bro, I know you.
Speaker 5 (53:07):
But but yeah, same thing I mean, And it's like, yeah,
I still I still have quite a bit of unemployment left,
and even if I needed to, I can like apply
for another I could apply for for like another extension,
you know.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
Yeah, No, I get you, And mine's still going even
though I really don't understand why, but it is what's.
Speaker 2 (53:30):
The whole convid thing?
Speaker 5 (53:31):
Man? And now we're getting those three hundred dollars monuses
and I'm just like, I'm like, I'm like the amount
of money they're giving me right now, Like why would
I work?
Speaker 1 (53:40):
But in all honestly, I do want to go out,
Like if I have the choice, I would, I would.
Speaker 4 (53:43):
I would like to work, but.
Speaker 5 (53:46):
It's giving me this I feel you, but it's giving
me this like extra like kicking the ass to really
try and figure something out, like at home, so that
like I don't you know what I mean, Like I'm really.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
Thanks, what's up? Other guys? What's up? I was?
Speaker 1 (54:06):
I all right, Yes, I agree with you. If if
if if I had a job, that would I could
be like this is relatively safe. Obviously nothing outside is
like but like, first and foremost, being in a restaurant,
you are guaranteed to be around people that have to
(54:27):
have their mask offs because they're eating. Then you handle
their plates and you handle their food, you have you
have to talk to them with their masks off. Yeah,
and it's it's not fun. But I'm not saying I
want an office job because it's horrible, But like my
ideal pandemic. Job would probably have to be some sort
of like see and product that I love being. I
(54:48):
love being on set. I'll do anything behind the scenes
of a camera and on obviously, but I don't have
to be like, you know, in the fucking shithole with
you know. You know what I'm saying what I started
looking looking for because I didn't even really think about
it until like until my buddy Rob, who we had
on a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
Mm hm.
Speaker 5 (55:07):
It's kind of telling me like why don't you He's like,
why don't you go and try and be like a
like a sound guy somewhere. Yeah, And then I was like, well, fuck,
I never thought about it. And he's like, well, you
know how to do all that ship Like, well, you know,
what's the what's the big fucking I was like, well,
I'm not certified, and he was like, well, what's the
you know, we looked it up at it it's like
a it's like a fucking eight week program to get certified.
(55:30):
And he's just like, just do it online fucking eight weeks,
like and then and then you can go find a job.
I'm like, fuck, you know, maybe maybe maybe I'll do that.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
You know, yeah, good point.
Speaker 1 (55:40):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, this is definitely a thing, Like I
not just today, but I'm I'm going to get a
job pretty soon because start looking rather, I've just had
enough of this eventually.
Speaker 5 (55:58):
Yeah, at the end of I mean, eventually, you're just
gonna have to fuck. I don't know, man, And these
these what do they call them? The vaccines are taking
too long, you know, and it's like, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
Then there's these assholes and I'm not not try This
is not even political anymore. This is just assholes who
are literally slowing the progress of this. Like did you
hear about those protesters that literally shut down the Dodger
Stadium vaccination site.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
No, I'm like, yeah, fuck, dude, really, yes.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
No, I didn't hear about that these anti vaxxers literally
were protesting and like causing a ruckus at the Dodger
Stadium vaccination site to the point that they actually had
to shut down and literally like turn away people that
have driven hours just to get their own vaccinator the
first fucking vaccinations.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
Yeah yeah, And I'm.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
Like, you're you're you're going so far as to I
get your own point of view, and you're entitled to it.
Even if I may or may not disagree, but you're
also like literally endangering other people's lives very very much.
Speaker 5 (57:03):
I mean, I don't know that's this is just like
I we're no one was prepared for what any of
this ship was going to do, you know, and and
all of us are like living in this weird era
that like no one's ever had to deal with.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
Uh famcast says, if you full got hit with a
two foot snowstorm like we did, enjoy z, you would
enjoy that.
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Unemployment a lot more.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
I'm not saying I'm not enjoying the unemployment, and I
put enjoying enjoying lately.
Speaker 5 (57:35):
Very I just get bored exactly.
Speaker 1 (57:40):
Yeah, while it's not paying my bills, it's not enough
to pay my bills on my rent, which I'm paying
like it's but it's enough to give me an income.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
Yeah sure, But.
Speaker 1 (57:54):
But of course at the heart of it, I know
one that I could be making a lot more and
I could be doing a lot more. Life to me
is about purpose. And it's like if I don't feel
like I have a purpose, I feel bad. And and
that's that's exactly in a nutshell for me, is yes, that
(58:15):
was that was that was the idea at first. But
I don't want to sit in this chair anymore.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
Not I have.
Speaker 1 (58:21):
I've been sitting in this chair so fucking much in
the last year, from March to now. Like I've sat
in this chair more than I think I've sat in
any other chair in my life.
Speaker 5 (58:31):
Yeah, you probably got like ass worts and stuff.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
Now, I definitely don't have that.
Speaker 5 (58:39):
Bring up with Jose said right now. Uh right, let
no know the next one.
Speaker 2 (58:47):
No, I like this, Oh shut up. Yeah they must
have been angel fans of the protesters. Maybe maybe it's hilarious. Yeah,
it is.
Speaker 5 (59:02):
One fucking win.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
Huh Yeah, nope, never never, ever, whenever you're down kick them.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
Yeah, I mean, like I'm I'm not fretting about this.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
It's it's it's it's It's just I said this earlier,
like in a different episode where I'm like, the reason
we're in a pandemic right now is because people are
choosing to stay in a pandemic.
Speaker 2 (59:25):
Yeah, but it's so.
Speaker 5 (59:26):
Clear we've we've become so divided as a country, like
more than than ever I think. So it's like it's
just it's become like such a weird it's a weird time,
and and it's just everyone wants to be a part
of a team, so you can't, like I mean, and.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
Then I've always I think as somebody and I'm not
saying this is like sports people like at all, Like
just listen to. What I'm trying to say, is like,
as someone who doesn't care that much about sports, I'm
very not tribalist where it's like this team versus this thing,
this team versus this team all the way. Whereas what
I'm seeing across not just America, obviously there's a lot
(01:00:04):
of people around the world, however it is very very
very very much more prominent in America. Is what I'm
saying is people need to pick a side in their heads.
They're like, I'm either on this side or that side,
and that's it. And I don't like it because it's
literally the opposite of how things get done when things
need to get done.
Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
When it's sports, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
All fun in games usually unless you bring it to
a violent level. But when it comes to actually working
together as a fucking not only a nation like you
can say a city, a state, and nation, a continent,
a world, people need to know how to work together
and Americans were never ever brought up on that idea
(01:00:48):
that they should learn how to work together, because it's.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Just it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Like even during the election, I'm just like, Okay, this
is how it works. I understand how it works. Let's help.
This is Biden my first choice. No, is he the
best chance we have to get Trump out?
Speaker 5 (01:01:06):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
And then there's like all these other people like.
Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Well if there's dude parties to show these other stuff,
I'm like, that's not how they Yes, there are, but
you're not helping. But like you, it's it comes down
to this where it's like so many people are just
talking about I don't want to agree. I have some
agreements with you, but I don't wholeheartedly agree with you.
So I'm gonna stick with them. And I'm like, there's
(01:01:29):
there's middle ground. There's always middle ground no matter what.
Late have a good day. Ryan's Ryan, just back Ryan
my talk. He's just like, but okay, so just to
I'm not gonna go into a full rant on this,
I guess, but literally, it is just so many people
want to have a side, and I get it because
(01:01:50):
they're like, this is my team, you know, Uh, not
to I can't say not to get political whatever, it's
there the biggest teams in America are like we're Democrats,
we're Republicans, and like, okay, but can we just make
something that works instead of having you motherfuckers fight forever?
Speaker 6 (01:02:11):
Yeah, And that's like one of the craziest things that happened,
like within the last four years. It's like, I don't
think anytime in my lifetime did I ever hear like
republican or Democrats so much in my fucking life in
the past four years alone, Like it wasn't even like
really a thing. Like everything was really like bipartisan up
until four years ago, and all of a sudden, now
it's like.
Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Us versus them.
Speaker 6 (01:02:31):
It's just like what the fuck, Like I mean, yeah,
I'm a Democrat, but I mean or you know, I guess,
But never in my life did I feel like so
inclined to like be like, you know, full on like oh,
like you know, like this is who I fucking am,
Like what, like I've never felt that way.
Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
Yeah, And okay, so even then, so let me just
take that you just said that, but you also hesitated.
And the reason you did, in my like I would imagine,
is because like I do do I agree with some Democrats, sure,
you know, but do I agree with the Democratic idea?
Now there's all fucking motherfucker's on the Democratic Party.
Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
Then I'm like, yeah, exactly, I don't want to vote
for you.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
The thing is, for whatever reason, the world doesn't seem
to work like that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
It doesn't.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
It doesn't mean like, okay, well you you suck and
you suck. Can we get a better idea. It's either
you pick this option or this option. It's not no
in between. And and that I think is what is
hurting so much of our world, where it's like people
literally want to be like I will die for this side.
Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
Yeah, and why though, It's like why.
Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
Like, like, can you just let's work together to just
make the best option. And granted, I know one best
is not best for another person, but we can still
talk about it. And I think that this is actually
why I really love to be honest podcasting.
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Uh it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
We can just be out here and talk about shit,
and like, I hate my number one thing is people
not talking. It is the lack of communication that I
think hurts first and foremost. To bring it on a
small level, like the most relationships. I have a lot
of friends, who are like, they do come to me
with problems because they know they can talk to me.
(01:04:23):
And I'm like, have you tried talking this out in
this way? Bringing this up? Blah blah blah, And they're
like nah, And I'm like, well, maybe try that. You know,
communication is by far the best thing that will help
any relationship, and that is on a small level, like
people dating, and then it's on a large level like
a politician to a community, or a community to a politician,
(01:04:45):
or a community to other people in the community.
Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Literally, it just.
Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
The more you communicate, the better off we are as
a society, as people together, because guess what, we're all
here together. I may be a loan in my house,
but we're all on this fucking planet together.
Speaker 4 (01:05:04):
We're all in the city, we're all in the same area.
Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
If something you do will affect somebody else, just think
about that.
Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
What are you a Democrat?
Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
No? But I'm not a repubular. I'm just somebody.
Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
I'm just somebody who actually I have thoughts about things,
and that's that's That's the best I can say.
Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
It is.
Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
I That's all I can tell.
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Garrett twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Apparently, jose what up vote for Garrett Boom punch, punch
for the fists, fisty there. Uh, is there a chance
in hell I would be a politician?
Speaker 4 (01:05:42):
Fuck?
Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
No, you'd like one of those? Is like, I don't know.
I don't think a treasurer does ship?
Speaker 4 (01:05:52):
Is that even a job title?
Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
Still?
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Treasurer?
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Yeah, that was like a thing in clubs when we
were in school.
Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
I don't know if that's.
Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
A nice treasure or like head of water and power.
They don't do anything either.
Speaker 1 (01:06:06):
I honestly, I for me personally, and I think this
is I brought this back where it's like it's life's
about purpose and I wouldn't put myself in any situation
where I had to have that amount of pressure on
me versus that like little amount. Because also at the
same time, I understand a lot of politicians can't really
do what they want to do if you had some
(01:06:28):
very extreme politician. You know what, I want to make this.
I want to make this better. Guess what, you guys,
I'm gonna make it. So I'm just throwing a random,
really weird thing. I'm gonna put you know, fucking water
fountains on every corner that that that have Hawaiian punching them.
There would be a thousand people ahead of them that
(01:06:51):
would be like, no, that's a stupid idea, fuck you,
and then shut them down.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
We're going to bury you.
Speaker 4 (01:06:57):
Really fuck listen.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Yeah what nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:07:02):
I've been trying to fucking punch this joke in, but
it's not worthing.
Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
So literally it's I understand how that works. And I
don't envy them in any way. I just don't want
to be them, Like that's that is not the life
that I would choose for myself at all.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
I do like being able to speak my mind, but
in this kind of platform to be honest, you know,
like I respect people that are out there and just
be like, you know what, this is just how I
see it. And then also those people that can be
like you know what. I felt like that, you know
four years ago. I feel something different now because I
have new information, this new ship. You knowever, I like
(01:07:42):
just have these conversations. I like having the conversations. I
don't want to have to deal with bureaucracy. That's absolutely true.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:07:50):
Can I be like at a wild and just like
elect a fucking dog for the president?
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
That'd be great, I would much.
Speaker 5 (01:07:58):
I will follow a fucking but you know, you know
that's only like twenty minutes from me right at a wild.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
Is it? Oh? Yeah and a half for us. Yeah
that's cool.
Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
I'm going up to the ranch, up to the snow
in two weeks now, you guys, very exciting.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
I a wild in two weeks.
Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
Oh and you're you guys still not going to visit me?
Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Cool? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:08:27):
Yeah, you drive right past me. You don't even want
to come by.
Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
The only opposite direction.
Speaker 5 (01:08:33):
You just said he was going to idle wild.
Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
You're in the.
Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
I can't speak for friend, No, dude, you okay you
if you want the actual answer, you want a real
answer right now?
Speaker 5 (01:08:48):
Yeah, well you can.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
You can with a bunch of people who don't like follow.
Speaker 5 (01:08:54):
I don't even want to fucking hear it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
Move on.
Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
I can trust you, but I can't trust anyone around you.
Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Whatever, move on, See.
Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
Ryan, Like, I want a real answer right now.
Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Don't give me a real.
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Yet, butter butter it up a bit, put some sugar
on it, thank you?
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Move close the road to your place, so yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
Moving forward? Uh ship?
Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
You guys want to get his stories. Actually we've got
it a whole out. I actually appreciate that we've got
a whole hour. I'm just kind of bullshipping and Cobra Kai.
We're damn sure. RAN's angry. I see it in his face.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
I'm sorry. Stroke your hair, it mus you.
Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
I do miss you. Does that make you feel better?
Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
I would love to be able to hug you.
Speaker 5 (01:09:49):
Worrying.
Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Just get the fucking stories gone.
Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
All right, Uh, let's start out the up guys. Uh,
where is it?
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
There it is? And the One Life we did the
One Life. This is May.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
So we got first word that what first word that
there will be? It was it was announced the other day,
February first, that Wakanda series from The Black Panther director himself,
Ryan Coogler and of course Mardel Studios, and that's gonna
be going to Disney. Plus I think that they waited
(01:10:45):
until the first day of Black History Month to announce
this because they announced so much with their their was
it the stockholder meeting and you said this, Ricky, right,
you have some Disney stock.
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
I do?
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Yeahs nice and so I and I believe this just
like uh, what was it the Book of Boba Fat.
They did strategically omit from those meetings, those announcements if
you will. I'm very happy to hear this because this
is this is one thing that one place that I
think is is ripe with with a lot of stories
(01:11:23):
that can be told. And I honestly this is not
in the article, but I believe that this will be
a good way to address the fact that Chasmin Chadwick
Posman has passed away. I believe that if they jumped
straight into Black Panther three that it would be a
(01:11:43):
little jarring, and I think this would be a great
way to sort of ease into the whole situation. Personally,
they might not do it at all, but that's that's
as soon as I heard this, I was like, this
is a great idea for a lot of reasons, that
being one of them. So you guys, I've heard that
this will be coming out. Are you interested in a
Black Panther series? And what do you think it can entail?
Speaker 2 (01:12:09):
Who's gonna go first? Can you guys not talk over
each other? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:12:14):
I mean just it's I I I don't know what
to say because I don't know how they're gonna execute this.
Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
You know, no pun intented, but what's the pun?
Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
He got killed by cancer?
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Okay, exec executed, got it.
Speaker 5 (01:12:38):
But you know what I'm saying, Like he was so
good and and a beloved actor, so it's it's kind
of just as really touchy subject and I don't I
don't know how what they're gonna do or you know,
and there's all these rumors in speculation going around that
that sounds fucking ridiculous. So I trust in in what
they're gonna do, but I haven't, but it's got to
(01:12:58):
be something that I haven't thought of, you know, So
like I, you know, I can sit here and and
try and think of whatever they're going to do, but
I don't know. But of course I would love a
Black Panther series. I mean, I don't know. I just
I don't know where I stand on this whole thing,
because it's like it's it's hard, you know, you don't
you don't know what to do when when this actor
and who knows, who knows how much they shot? You know,
(01:13:21):
they can probably use some footage and do some stuff
that that they've already you know, because they've they've probably
gotten they probably.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Have a movie's worth the footage already, so you know,
who knows.
Speaker 6 (01:13:33):
Yeah, but nothing that could prepare them for like, you know,
losing someone so big like that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
You know, well, of course.
Speaker 5 (01:13:42):
Of course, I mean when you I'm sure when they're
doing this, already know they're going to do that. This
character is going to be in this you know, cinematic
universe for a long time, so it's like they're not
expecting you know, sudden death.
Speaker 6 (01:13:54):
Yeah yeah, I mean, like yeah, for me, the only
place I can really see it going is you know,
being with you know, making Surrey, uh, you know, the
main the main character, and you know, her progression into
into being the Black Panther.
Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
Possibly, Yeah, that's a possibility. I mean, it's it's is
that what we're is.
Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
That like the most I don't know, the fucking confirmed
theory is that no is gonna take it or what
right now?
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
Right now, there's zero actual information that's been given that
we can assume. All we do know is should be
taking up the mantle. Black Panther is does have a
a comic book precedent, so she does do that in
the comic books.
Speaker 5 (01:14:44):
And I don't I'm not saying this like every fucking
neck beard dude on Twitter, but I don't think I
would like that as much as if like, what, what
was the other guy's name from the other tribe. You know,
obviously he's.
Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Not Winston Duke.
Speaker 5 (01:14:59):
Yeah, yeah, I would think him. That's that's something that
would really.
Speaker 1 (01:15:03):
That is actually what I've heard the most, in all honesty,
not from anyone that has any ties to the actual
caught alongside He.
Speaker 5 (01:15:10):
Took his tribe foled alongside the you know, the Avengers
in in fucking Infinity War.
Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
So here's the information that I've gathered that, here's the
information that we all have.
Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
But what what kind of goes into this?
Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
First and foremost, Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther was gone, and
we're getting we're getting into mc utah. Just so when
understands this, uh, from Infinity War to Endgame, there was
a five year period where the leader, the King of
Wakonda was gone.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
Was gone.
Speaker 1 (01:15:41):
Therefore, the question stands, did they elect a new leader?
Did they get a new leader? Where was Imbaku? I
don't there wasn't any I don't remember personally if Obaku
got dusted. If he didn't, he could very well have
taken that mantle already.
Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
Right, Yeah, that's true. I mean it could even just
be like a series of going into that.
Speaker 5 (01:16:02):
I didn't think about that. I didn't even think about
how they managed without their king.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
You know, yeah, yeah, five years.
Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
We actually have no idea what the times the time
timeframe is for this show. It could honestly be a
show about the five years after Infinity War where where
roughly half of Wakonda was gone, including at least Shuri
and and and T'chala. So we don't know for sure
(01:16:36):
at all. We just we know one thing is that
at the end of Endgame there was a scene in
Wakanda where there was fireworks and and Shuri, t'achala and
his mom were together.
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (01:16:48):
We have no idea what happened between in those five years.
So it could be there, could be after, could be whatever.
Either way, something has had to happen. What I will
say about this is there's a lot of information we
don't have within the five years between Infinity War and Endgame,
and then there's stuff You think about that, but I
think that, yeah, there's a there's a there's there's so
(01:17:11):
many options because what I was saying before is we
don't have a lot of information about the entire nation
of Wakonda either, we have no idea about anything, so
they they I think they have the benefit even though
this is a horrible sort of thing that has happened
where where they unexpectedly.
Speaker 4 (01:17:29):
Unexpectedly lost Chadwick Boseman.
Speaker 1 (01:17:32):
But they have the benefit of a lot of information
was not given prior to that happening, so they could
really they have a lot of ways that they could
address it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:42):
Yeah, sure, but I mean, what do you think you
guys would like though?
Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
If you if you like, I know it's putting you
all on the spot a little bit, but like, what
do you think one you would like for the series too?
How would you handle the Black Panther or Chadwick's passing
in in the continuity of the MCU.
Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
I mean, they'd have to have him killed in battle
or something, you know, like somehow it have to be
some sort of honorable thing, I you know, I mean,
or they or they could just you know, be it
of natural causes or something. I don't know, who knows
can't have cancer. Yeah, yeah, that wouldn't bother me at all.
Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
I think I feel like that would be too on
the nose though, I.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
Mean quick of cancer, I don't know, I think so too,
But you know, like I said, there there masters that storytelling.
Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
So like I don't know, I.
Speaker 1 (01:18:45):
Will say, I guess this is true, and I can't can't,
I can't fight this. Uhde Rotten says Umbaku was in
endgame fighting, but he didn't have a black panther suit on.
He did have his traditional garb on, so I don't
know if he was dust it or not, but he
had he had his fucking uh was it.
Speaker 5 (01:19:04):
J Jabari tribe. I don't think that's what I'm saying.
I don't think he was, so you know, yeah, there
could be a whole story there. I mean we at
least we never confirmed that he was.
Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
They never you know, so.
Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
That I have this stupid scene in my head where
he's actually in Wakanda. He's the king and he's like
what uh de'challa's back. He's like okay, and then he
goes to a closet and it opens up and it's
his old Jabari tribe outfit.
Speaker 4 (01:19:35):
He's like my old friend.
Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
Jabari tribe on. I don't know it's done this time.
Speaker 1 (01:19:42):
Nah, But yeah, no, that actually is a good point
in continuity. I don't see a reason besides him not
being outside of the the Jabari tribe.
Speaker 2 (01:19:58):
Coming in like that.
Speaker 1 (01:20:00):
To be honest, I could they Yes, they could absolutely
do something like I just said dumb, but it's a thing.
And so yeah, I'm very excited about this because when
you have something that you're interested in that does not
(01:20:20):
have a lot of lore already attached to it, in Cannon,
you can go any way you want. So that is
one thing that I'm like, I'm saying, it's like you,
they could do whatever they want with this, and I'm
very excited. We're gonna move on from this unless any
of you have any of their things you want to
bring up on that.
Speaker 2 (01:20:37):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
The next story that I have is that clover Field
is finally getting a direct sequel.
Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
So two things.
Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
One, it is stated here that it will be a
direct sequel as opposed to the Yeah, I don't know,
I don't know what you would call them, but like
in Universe see wolves that came which were ten Cloverfield
Lane and Cloverfield Paradox which were in this franchise. And
and what I actually heard has has have either of
(01:21:10):
you seen underwater with Christian Stewart.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
And uh well well well well what's his name of it? Deadpool?
Brand Reynolds. No weasel, Weasley, Yeah, fun what's his name?
I don't remember, uh J P J D J B
Deep chimber right, I feel like Ryan is it? Weasel?
(01:21:36):
No comedian? Yeah, Silicon we're talking about this bother me.
Speaker 5 (01:21:42):
Fucking uh, you're talking about the comic at the bar. Yeah, yeah, oh, fucking.
Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
Silicon Valley. Look at it. I'm looking at uh, appreciate it. Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
But that was actually I believe it's supposed to be
a in universe Cloverfield sequel as well, but it got
sold and they changed J.
Speaker 2 (01:22:08):
Mailer.
Speaker 1 (01:22:09):
That's that's what I was talking about. So, yeah, that's
a movie. I haven't seen it, but I've heard a
lot about it. And what I've heard was that it
was supposed to be a Cloverfield sequel.
Speaker 5 (01:22:21):
And clover Field Lane.
Speaker 4 (01:22:22):
No, it's called Underwater.
Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
That's supposed to be. Oh really, I've never heard of it.
Speaker 1 (01:22:28):
I will show you right quick.
Speaker 2 (01:22:32):
That's supposed to be a direct sequel. Well not direct.
Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
So what I'm saying is that Cloverfield has this weird
thing where they have sequels but they're not direct, they're
just in universe.
Speaker 2 (01:22:45):
They're there. Movie is in the universe.
Speaker 1 (01:22:46):
It's kind of like the MCU in all honestly, without
trying to be the.
Speaker 10 (01:22:49):
M c U.
Speaker 1 (01:22:51):
Let me just put this on screen. So this is
the trailer. This is not the right thing that the
fuck is me Me is on fucking.
Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Sick gas rings. Mm hmmm, vayplath bro there I go.
Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
So this is the trailer for Underwater, which we're gonna
talk over because we're definitely not getting pulled for this bullshit.
But it's basically right here people that are in an
underwater mining facility, one of them being christened.
Speaker 5 (01:23:23):
So that's right. Yeah, I do remember this.
Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
T J. Miller. Yeah, I don't remember this at all.
You don't.
Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
Yeah, no, when it has come out, uh last year,
I think the hell yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
And then.
Speaker 1 (01:23:39):
They're in this underwater base and they hear some ship
and then shit goes damn.
Speaker 2 (01:23:46):
Okay, playing fucking it's alien again.
Speaker 1 (01:23:49):
Kind of it has a lot of water, but like
they're in an underwater base and you check this scene
out real quick, jippy drip, drippy drip and water because
supposed to be a thing, and then the whole shit
just blows up.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Oh shure.
Speaker 1 (01:24:06):
Then you gotta go along and they're like they have
to go into like underwater diving suits. They go out
there on the ocean floor and they start seeing creatures
and getting abducted and fighting them and whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
Weird things.
Speaker 1 (01:24:27):
So what I heard was this was originally supposed to
be a I don't know if that's the actual date,
January tenth, twenty, so.
Speaker 5 (01:24:39):
Maybe it never actually came out.
Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
No, it did come out, one hundred percent, but I
don't know if it came out in theaters or got
pushed backed and was only on demand.
Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
Bit bring this back.
Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
That was alleged to be a sequel, but it changed hands,
got bought by somebody, and I believe from what I've heard,
it is more of a I'm not going to ruin
it spoiler. It's it's a different type of monster movie
as you can see this monster, so I'm not spoiling anything,
but it would make sense if they changed it back
to the Cloverfield Monster and those types of things. This
(01:25:14):
is going to be a direct sequel as opposed to
those which are indirect, and so it's also not going
to be a found footage movie, which the original was.
And so I'm actually very excited because, like we were
talking about a lot of things that got a lot
of criticism. I really enjoyed Cloverfield when it first came out,
Did you guys, and what do you think about, like
(01:25:34):
I did, getting a direct sequel to it? Yeah, I mean,
like so so talking about Thlorofield real quick, because I
was I don't know if you guys really were invested
in the whole like Alternate Earth what they call them,
ar like sort of things that were going on, their
viral marketing and all that stuff. Yeah, so's there was
a ton of viral marketing.
Speaker 6 (01:25:52):
This was like the first movie that I feel like
really took it to like a whole other level as
far as like you know, having like a lot of
real world things happening that were like a direct tie
of this movie, and I was heavily invested in that game. Yea,
as far as like following things online, you know, finding
these different puzzles and like you know, people going out
(01:26:13):
and like I was, like, you know, in a form
of like people like you know, just like me, who
would like you know, go out and like we get
like coordinates in like a trailer or something, and people
would actually go out there find something there and it'd
be like a you know like a USB filmed like
videos or something and like or like some documents that
are found and like you know, just crazy stuff like
(01:26:33):
that that like built like this entire back end to
the movie. And you know, they did so much of
this world building stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:26:40):
Which actually didn't really and I kind of miss I
wish more more films and things did that, because I
remember the two that stood out in my mind were
clover Field.
Speaker 2 (01:26:50):
And The Dark Knight.
Speaker 1 (01:26:52):
The Dark Knight yep, yeah, I'm like, I fucking love
that those guys did those.
Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:26:57):
So the Dark Night, Yeah, The Dark Night was another
one that was super like super into. I mean they
did some crazy shit for that movie too, but I
don't know, yeah, that was like the only two movies
that there. I mean, they did kind of some for
The Ten Floor for Lane, but it was nowhere near the.
Speaker 5 (01:27:10):
Size that they did for I mean, they had the website,
they had like the database of like people who worked
for certain company or something like that, and then they
had yeah yeah exactly had that creature like wash on
Shore or something like that too.
Speaker 6 (01:27:23):
Yeah yeah, yeah, so they did a lot of cool
stuff like that, and then you know, so they obviously
have like a lot of back end story that they
they like, you know, they built an entire world for
this movie that you know you only got sort of
some glimpses of in that and the actual movie that
came out, but you know, like you know, in the
back end, and there's so much stuff that they could
(01:27:44):
be exploring on top of that that like we only got.
I mean we literally with Cloverfield, we got a first
person's perspective of it. But I mean, if they want
to do a sequel, even like a prequel of it,
of like going into like these different companies that they
built for it, and you know all the things that
these different companies were you know, finding in the ocean
and and you know stuff like that. I mean, there's
(01:28:05):
so much that they can do. It's it's and they
obviously have the cannon for it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
Yeah, I'd be really excited for that.
Speaker 1 (01:28:15):
Yeah, absolutely, Ryan, Do you have any thoughts on this?
Speaker 5 (01:28:19):
Yeah, I mean, Ricky said at all, I really don't.
I mean, yeah, it's like like we were just talking about,
I'm just enjoying what's what's happening. It's like, give me
another one, su Guys.
Speaker 1 (01:28:31):
Did you guys like ten Cloverfield Lane and Cloverfield Paradox.
Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
I did.
Speaker 5 (01:28:36):
I enjoyed Paradox more. Yeah, yeah, I really did. I
thought Paradox was really cool. I know, I know they
I've never put this test of this theory, but I
know they say that if you watch, if you if
you play Cloverfield and Cloverfield Paradox at the same time
at the time, just stuff that matchup at the same time,
(01:28:58):
that that that they wind up in a different like
kind of universe. That's when the monster shows up on Earth.
Speaker 1 (01:29:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, so in Paradox there's a there's the
point when they do like the the first things happen.
Speaker 6 (01:29:14):
Yeah, I don't want to I don't if I want
to spoil it or not. The first thing they do
the experiment is also lines up with the movie the
first time you see you see something in the monster
in the original Cloverfield movie.
Speaker 2 (01:29:26):
Yeah. Interesting, I would definitely.
Speaker 5 (01:29:28):
Yeah, even Paradox, I think even in Cloverfield Lane, I
think there's like an earthquake or something like that. I like,
at the same I don't know what the fuck, it's weird.
Speaker 1 (01:29:38):
Yeah, So clver Hill Paradox was the only one that
actually had like an original tie.
Speaker 6 (01:29:41):
Of the movie where clover Field ten Cloverfield Lane. When
they first did that movie had nothing to do with
Clorphiel at all up until it was purchased by I
think was it Paramount or something. Did they change the
story to sort of be part of that universe, But
it was never intended to be part of in the beginning.
So that's kind of why it's little. They made like,
you know, some strings, but not as much as as
(01:30:04):
a Paradox did exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
But it I mean, if you follow what Paradox set up,
I understand that that could be a thing. Yeah, it's
just it's like it's one of those things. It's like
that wasn't necessary.
Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
But Okay, I really enjoyed that one because I don't know,
I you know, being a fan of like Alien and
you know, like that kind of old school vibe was
really cool to me watching that, Watching Paradox, like, you know,
and it's something that it's just it's it's something that
could clearly happen eventually.
Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:30:38):
There's all these different people, other different scientists from different
countries working on something together, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:30:45):
Yeah, and then you know they they ended up.
Speaker 5 (01:30:47):
The conflict is they wind up accidentally you know, what
they get sucked is like they it's like a black
hole or some shit, and they end up like in
a different it's like a PARADEX parallel universe or something
some ship.
Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff though. I really enjoy
these types of movies because they could seemingly happened. One
of the ones that I watched was the one with
h was that Ryan Reynolds and Jake Jillenhall.
Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
It was.
Speaker 1 (01:31:12):
I forgot what it was called, but people were saying
that it could have basically been a prequel to Venom,
which one hundred percent it could. Yeah, I just forgot
what it's called. But either either way, Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
I'll look it up.
Speaker 5 (01:31:25):
It's crazy because we I mean, you know, uh, what
do they call him? You know? You know, so Kevin,
you know Kevin Kevin Hickerson was was like a correspondent
on like certain sci fi movies and ship because he
like studies this ship so like some so when some
(01:31:46):
of these movies come out, it's kind of funny to
like he'll do like a video pretty much breaking down
how true it is and and at least true to
their theories and ship like that, And so I love
talking to him about sh like ship like that, because
a lot of the a lot of the stuff like
the parallel universe and the black holes and shit like
that's like stuff that he studies, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (01:32:07):
Yeah, yeah, get him back on when when when stuff
like this happens, we will talk about spacey things. Yeah, uh, Ricky,
I said something in the private chat. If you want
to take a look, I feel like it's up your alley.
So after that we'll move on. What we are going
to do is we're gonna have a WandaVision chat. But
it's gonna be the very end of the show, just
(01:32:28):
so everyone has time.
Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
We're watching.
Speaker 5 (01:32:33):
Are you gonna just bring up what I brought in?
Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
Well?
Speaker 4 (01:32:35):
Yeah, first and foremost, it has been a while.
Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
It has been a while.
Speaker 1 (01:32:43):
I didn't have this cute up, so I didn't know
what this was. But it has been a while since Ryan,
So let's do that. I don't even know your song,
to be honest. On this board, I don't you know
what it is.
Speaker 2 (01:32:59):
I deleted it. Well, it's not on this board.
Speaker 1 (01:33:01):
What is the last It's not on my It's on
my board, sorry, right, sag MANA ride.
Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
Weird ship.
Speaker 5 (01:33:17):
Wait, so I'll get any music.
Speaker 1 (01:33:25):
If you want to give me like a couple of seconds,
I can figure it out. Hold on, I don't even
know where. I would just make a new one, bro, I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
Doing the thing right. And guys, all music.
Speaker 5 (01:33:47):
Video to que up again, I'm sending you another video
to queue up as well.
Speaker 1 (01:33:53):
Okay, sounds good, sounds real good.
Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
There it is. I found it. Okay cool, So I
don't know. I didn't do the thing there. It is.
Speaker 10 (01:34:11):
The secrets of nature's deepest mystery.
Speaker 5 (01:34:13):
She's literally like launching things out of guy so they
just like tie up in the face. It's gonna blow
your fucking mind.
Speaker 2 (01:34:29):
Are you ready?
Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
Yay? You just I just noticed. You know. What's funny
is like my I've noticed my voice has become different,
Like I like, I like if you listen to like
older episodes. Uh yeah, I sound so young and spry
and like now I'm just so it's like now my
voice is very like pissed, just raspy and not. This
(01:34:58):
is you know, not as funny, not as jolly anymore.
It sounds like there's city miles on me. You know,
I don't know. Yeah, uh, anyway, this is a huge
thing because uh because now courtside Karen has has become
(01:35:19):
a big, a big trend on on Twitter yesterday. I
don't know it is, you don't know what courtside Karen is. Okay,
so uh so I saw this ship yesterday. But but
I'll get you I'll give you guys a full rundown
on what on what happened pretty much, but uh uh.
During Monday's game between Los Angeles Lakers in Atlanta Hawks,
(01:35:39):
Lebron James got into an exchange with some fans at
State Farm Arena. The affomented the aforementioned heckling went down
during the fourth quarter. So I sent the video. The
second one I sent you is is like somebody in
the stands basically Yeah. The second one is is somebody
(01:36:00):
in the stand up on top, uh taking a video
of what happened during the exchange. And this is that
this is during the fourth quarter. So apparently this dude
is talking ship to Lebron while he's playing, and Lebron
turned around and started talking ship back.
Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
Yeah, you play it.
Speaker 5 (01:36:16):
Play the clip out of the building.
Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
They might be gone.
Speaker 10 (01:36:21):
I think this was happening. Also, somebody was for Lebron.
Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
There's still you're not playing it for.
Speaker 1 (01:36:27):
Us minutes ago, and he was glaring into the see it.
Speaker 5 (01:36:30):
We can't see it.
Speaker 4 (01:36:32):
Oh, I was just playing the audio show. I'll play
the video.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
Give me one thing.
Speaker 1 (01:36:38):
First of all, I'm just surprised that there's even people.
Speaker 4 (01:36:42):
They were virtual. If you're rich enough, why not.
Speaker 5 (01:36:46):
Now they're playing in Atlanta, so like certain states don't
give a I mean, uh.
Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
Well, I was like that they're like, all right, you
guys have to be there. So I saw this.
Speaker 1 (01:36:59):
Actually I saw a video where it's like they made
it so to to people who are on opposite teams
couldn't hug after a game like they're friends. But I'm like,
it's totally cool that they can play full on basketball
with no mask next to each other, but they can't hug.
Speaker 5 (01:37:13):
It's it's all just a fucking It's all just for
for people.
Speaker 1 (01:37:17):
People their sweating and heaving and fucking all the ship
right there, but they can't hug.
Speaker 5 (01:37:24):
It doesn't matter, it's just it's it's it makes sense
just for publicity, just to make sure like no care
goes white where when you managed whatever. Yeah, like they
all get they all get tested. They get tested daily
before they play. Yeah, so you know whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:37:48):
Yeah, whatever, where's the where's the there? It is?
Speaker 10 (01:37:55):
Also, somebody was all over Lebron.
Speaker 2 (01:37:57):
There's still on Lebron. I think that's what it.
Speaker 8 (01:37:59):
Is that.
Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
Out here.
Speaker 5 (01:38:08):
Yeah, so they kicked out four people.
Speaker 7 (01:38:13):
These courtside bitches, right, yeah, I think nothing, it's just fans.
Speaker 8 (01:38:23):
Remember it was that executive of the Cavaliers that set
Lebron off in Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (01:38:31):
Yeah, lady not even wearing a mask. She has her
chin diaper on.
Speaker 5 (01:38:38):
Yeah yeah, yeah, oh boy, you gotta love it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:45):
I play the game.
Speaker 5 (01:38:46):
Boy, yeah jesus.
Speaker 2 (01:38:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:38:49):
That so one of the purport purport to purer people, uh,
that was that was forced to leave the game.
Speaker 2 (01:38:58):
Took to I g to talk of about to talk
about it all?
Speaker 5 (01:39:01):
Which is that other clip I sent you just got
kicked out of She she says, just got killed a
game for talking ship to Lebron James, or for talking
ship to Lebron James, for ship to my fucking husband.
So play, yeah, go ahead, play that.
Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
Yeah, I want to bring it back up here.
Speaker 5 (01:39:19):
This got kicked out of the game for tucking ship
to Lebron James, b fucking ship to fuck your husband.
Speaker 10 (01:39:27):
This is such a.
Speaker 2 (01:39:30):
Listen, let me tell you.
Speaker 1 (01:39:32):
Lebron James looked at my husband during the game and
custom out and I stood up and I go, don't
fucking talk.
Speaker 5 (01:39:39):
To my husband.
Speaker 2 (01:39:40):
Talk to my husband one more time and I will
fuck you up.
Speaker 1 (01:39:43):
And he started fighting and dumb bitch, and I go,
you shut your fucking mouth, bitch.
Speaker 5 (01:39:51):
I love her, so actually there is I just sent
you a third thing, which is actually Lebron Lebron, Rea
Lebron Lebron after the ship, after the game, doing a
press conference and that and actually talking about exactly what happened.
Speaker 2 (01:40:08):
Can I pull that up right? The only picture her
husband in my brain.
Speaker 5 (01:40:13):
He's this old white dude who has money. I mean,
who could do who else would you?
Speaker 1 (01:40:18):
But also picture with money, lots of money and like
Pinky bring.
Speaker 10 (01:40:22):
Protocol defense, take off their masters, yellow player.
Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
At the end of the day.
Speaker 10 (01:40:27):
That's uh.
Speaker 8 (01:40:29):
I'm happy fans are back from the building. I missed
that interaction. I need that interaction. We as players need
that interaction. I don't feel like there was warning to
be kicked out.
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
There was a.
Speaker 8 (01:40:41):
A you know, a back and forth between two grown
men and which uh uh, and you know, we said
our piece, he said his piece. I said my piece,
and then with someone else jumped into.
Speaker 10 (01:40:52):
It and said their piece. But I think they were
you know, she's been kicked out.
Speaker 8 (01:40:59):
But they might have had a couple of drinks maybe,
and they could have probably kept it going in the game.
Speaker 10 (01:41:03):
Would they have been about the game?
Speaker 8 (01:41:04):
No? More so did the referee to what they had
to do. And I don't, I mean, it's fine, I don't.
I don't think uh, taking down the mask or whatever
the case may be at that point in time would
have harmed anybody.
Speaker 10 (01:41:16):
But the people that was right next to her. I
wasn't close enough to her.
Speaker 8 (01:41:20):
I don't think any of my.
Speaker 10 (01:41:20):
Teammates is close enough to him. Maybe a couple of
refs maybe. So I hope they're I hope they're okay.
Speaker 1 (01:41:27):
But yeah, so, yes, obviously that is very diplomatic. I'm
one percent sure he got brief done that beforehand.
Speaker 2 (01:41:36):
Yeah, uh, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:41:39):
So they got kicked out because they didn't have their
masks on.
Speaker 5 (01:41:41):
No, no, no, no, they got kicked out because they
were taking their masks off and yelling at him and
and and so. So he turned around and talked ship
to the guy. But they but they took their masks
off to both yell at him, and that's why that's
why the refs kicked him out. That's at least I
think that's why they're saying that's that's the reason they're
giving fair enough.
Speaker 2 (01:41:59):
But I agree with that statement. I don't get anything
that the other person was saying.
Speaker 5 (01:42:05):
Anything exactly exactly. And if you're a front row at
the Lakers, they can hear.
Speaker 1 (01:42:10):
You, you know, speaking of somebody who's literally never been
on the front row. Yeah, I can tell though.
Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Yeah, So.
Speaker 5 (01:42:24):
I guess basically, this guy got out of hand and
then like Lebron fucking talked some ship to him, and
then his wife got involved and she stormed on the
court and that's when they fucking you know, they ejected
all of them.
Speaker 1 (01:42:37):
I really really need to peace. So I'm gonna excuse myself.
You guys talk a little bit more and that will
be right.
Speaker 5 (01:42:44):
We can you can dive into this, but yeah, go
ahead anyway. Yeah. So, now there's been a there's a
hashtag court side Karen because she keeps going to Twitter
and Instagram and talking mad ship about like the Lakers
organization and Lebron and.
Speaker 2 (01:42:57):
People are storming.
Speaker 5 (01:42:58):
Now people are starting to go to her Instagram page
because she's this fake ass fucking you know, ig model
and fucking shit on her Instagram page and ship like
that because she's been identified now, So I mean, I
don't know, I don't think that's warrant, but hey, you know,
if you don't act invincible, somebody will show you.
Speaker 2 (01:43:20):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:43:21):
I mean she she's acting for that attention in the beginning,
so she doesn't if you're gonna try and dish it
out and you don't want it back then yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:43:29):
Yeah, So apparently, yeah, that's that was the thing. I
watched this whole thing on like Barstool Sports about it.
But yeah, she's she's just not she's very entitled, just
not dying on this, you know, she's dying on this.
And and by the way, how are you gonna threaten
to fuck up a like six foot eight, you know,
(01:43:49):
two hundred and fifty pounds basketball.
Speaker 2 (01:43:52):
Yeah, like you can.
Speaker 6 (01:43:53):
Literally just like hold her by the hand, and so
it'll be like six ft away from her, hold her
by her fucking ahead.
Speaker 2 (01:44:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:44:01):
And I don't know, I don't know what this chick's
name is, but apparently she she claims to be twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:44:07):
Oh my god, younger than us.
Speaker 5 (01:44:12):
No, she's not to look at that faith. Maybe maybe
her tens or twenty five, but she's twenty five, man,
she's got to be, you know. And her husband looks
like he's fucking like sixty two. Yeah, you know, pinky
rings and money and whatnot. But yeah, they both have
(01:44:33):
like I don't know what what the what the husband does,
but check out the Barstool Sports version. They really break
it all down.
Speaker 2 (01:44:41):
But they obviously having money, or at least the husband does. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:44:44):
Yeah, well the husband does obviously.
Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
I mean he paid for the face.
Speaker 1 (01:44:50):
Paid for I think twenty five again, baby, you turned
how old?
Speaker 5 (01:44:57):
Thirty? No? No, no, can you imagine that? Like, I
don't know, I you know, I like going to sports
events and and you know, the banter of it and
the fun and all that stuff. But can you imagine, yeah, absolutely,
(01:45:20):
can you imagine being that entitled to sit front row
and scream at a professional athlete for not, you know,
thinking that you could do a better job or something,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
Like the imagine that if I was like fifty feet back,
you know that.
Speaker 5 (01:45:35):
Somebody for doing their fucking professional job as an athlete too,
like you and it's always like some fat, grotesque piece
of ship who looks like they gave up a long time, right,
I mean the guy is not in shape. I saw.
I took a gander at him. I know what he
looks like. And his his wife's face is not the
shape that she had one with. So yeah, I'm mean, uh,
(01:46:01):
I don't know, I could have. It happens a lot
with with outfielders too. In baseball. You'll see that a
lot people shouting from from the outfield to the to
the outfielders talking ship, you know which I see that
Dodger state him a lot with the opposing teams.
Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
Yeah for sure, me too, Like, you know, I guess
it's funny.
Speaker 6 (01:46:22):
But like if they were ever to like come back,
and like if the outfitler one of the players says
something back, you know, it's like, of course he's gonna
say something back, Like why would right get mad at
that if you're.
Speaker 2 (01:46:33):
Gonna be an asshole?
Speaker 5 (01:46:35):
Like believe, yeah, what all they talked about was fucking
his mother.
Speaker 2 (01:46:44):
I don't know, whip job. You know, I could do better, obviously, I.
Speaker 5 (01:46:49):
Weigh three hundred pounds of just eight six Dodger dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:46:51):
But I could do a better.
Speaker 5 (01:46:55):
Yeah, yeah, it makes no sense. Yeah, I always that's why.
That's see that these are the people that like really
upset me about like sports, you know, which is I think,
what's what's a big turn off for for Garrett if
I may, it's Yeah, there's there's just a lot of
there's a lot of douchebaggery, and there's a lot of
(01:47:16):
entitlement for a lot of these fucking people.
Speaker 4 (01:47:18):
And I do love the term douche baggery.
Speaker 2 (01:47:23):
And I don't know, you.
Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
See it in football more more than ever, I think,
I think, which is like hockey more god. Yeah, but
it's weird though, hockey because hockey is so Canadian, Like
I've never seen anybody get so upset in a hockey game,
like as at least, you know, at least like.
Speaker 1 (01:47:44):
Oh my god, that people like the fans are just
around me like they.
Speaker 5 (01:47:47):
Know, they're wild hockey fans and I'm saying, I'm saying
the interactions that they're had, but like that that's kind
of part of the game though. Like with hockey, I'm
not gonna you know what I mean, because if you're
because you're up against the glass, you can fucking scream
whatever you want. Right there.
Speaker 2 (01:48:06):
Yeah. Uh, but but you but but if that glass
wasn't there, no one would say ship. Sure, it's like
the Internet.
Speaker 5 (01:48:16):
Because because so you can be up on the glass
screaming at whoever you know, fuck you, capa tar your
piece of ship. But but then like take that glass away,
you are not safe anymore. Those people are probably terrified
to say anything.
Speaker 1 (01:48:30):
Absolutely, And I'll say this, uh and I've told you
guys this before. I've actually gotten into a sport and
it is not the sport you would think for people
that don't know. I really like the movie Trivia right now.
The movie Trivia Showdown is something.
Speaker 5 (01:48:46):
That there's some reason not saying that's a sport, because
it's not.
Speaker 2 (01:48:50):
You can fight me as much as you want, all right,
I have a piece, I mean, fuck you.
Speaker 1 (01:48:57):
I've been following that and the fucking fans are like
exactly the same way. And that's why I related to
the Internet because it's the exact same thing. So it's like,
you know, it's like, I'll fuck you. I knew that ship,
you know, I'm like and then literally like I'll play
along and I'll just get a brain fart. And I
was like, you know, I can understand why someone missed.
Speaker 5 (01:49:17):
That's how it is with any fucking competition, right, Like,
like imagine, imagine if they sold if they sold public
tickets to spelling bees. If you were at a spelling
bee with like a bunch of kids, I knew how
to spell couch dump, piece of ship, get off the stage.
(01:49:39):
But it's part of the it is part of the game.
But also if you but if you're gonna be that
obnoxious front row like just know, you know, just know,
you're also in the fucking fire zone.
Speaker 1 (01:49:49):
Yeah, especially right now, Like what are you gonna like,
You're gonna go on the fucking court no mask, Like
of course you're gonna get kicked out, like trying to
stand on that hill well in like her fucking black
fur and like diamonds and like ship like that.
Speaker 5 (01:50:05):
She's like, oh my god, Yeah they got mad and
I was talking ship and I don't sport too like that.
That'll get you fucking ejected, immedia, no matter.
Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
What, no matter what you do, yeah, like why would
you even do that? You're an idiot?
Speaker 5 (01:50:22):
You know, Actually I don't. I've never been to a
soccer game, but it seems like soccer fans are pretty
fucking intense too.
Speaker 1 (01:50:29):
Yeah, but I mean as soon as they stepped ground
on the fucking grass, they tackle.
Speaker 5 (01:50:32):
Yeah. Yeah, I don't know, man. That's why I'm kind
of torn with this because I'm like, I'm like, I think,
I think part of the game is is the head
the headspace of being. But also, aren't they fans of
they were fans of the Lakers?
Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
I think right, they were.
Speaker 5 (01:50:48):
Oh no, they were in Atlanta. They were in Atlanta. Sorry,
so they had floor seats, so they were probably talking
ship too. They were the Georgian so they weren't. So
they're talking ship to Lebron as a Laker in Atlanta.
I think that's what it was, So that that makes
a little more sense. But that's again still part of
the game right.
Speaker 2 (01:51:10):
In Georgia. Probability of being white and racist pretty much.
I agree, I agree. I think I'm right now. Sorry, guys,
I'm home. My breath not breathing. I'm not breathing.
Speaker 5 (01:51:26):
But anyway, that's it. But yeah, court side Karen has
became a thing, so especially on black Twitter, fucking two
chains and Lebron and all kinds of people have been
tweeted about the speech.
Speaker 6 (01:51:37):
Yeah, so so the thing I said I saw yesterday
last night actually was like I saw the hashtag, but
then I saw like all those videos of like Lebron
being like a total fucking like cool dude, like like
you know, like offside, like anytime, any other time besides this,
I guess, you know, like any interaction that anybody's ever
had with him on the court side, it's always been
like he's been like the nicest fucking dude.
Speaker 2 (01:51:59):
He's actually gentleman.
Speaker 5 (01:52:01):
Everyone wants to hate him for what he did to Cleveland,
but you know what, that's whatever, that's that's that's.
Speaker 2 (01:52:07):
Just a that's just a biz you know. Yeah, Garrett does.
Garrett has no idea what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (01:52:15):
Sorry, I actually do. I just I've been trying to
get rid of these goddamn hiccups. Oh oh oh okay, So,
as someone who doesn't follow sports, I'm aware of pop culture.
Speaker 2 (01:52:28):
So I'm aware that.
Speaker 1 (01:52:28):
You know, he started in Cleveland on the Browns, and
he went to the Heat, then he went back to
the Cleveland, then he went to the Lakers.
Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
Right, Is that how that worked? Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:52:38):
Yeah, So like I'm aware of that. I just I
don't care.
Speaker 2 (01:52:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:52:42):
Yeah, well he went to Heat because he was a
free agent, and he was and he decided that he
was going to make this like death squad, like on
the Heat with like a few other free agents.
Speaker 2 (01:52:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:52:50):
I'm not sure, but I think he was on the
Heat when I was in jail, because I like, that's
the obviously the year that I paid the most attention
to sports.
Speaker 5 (01:52:58):
Yeah yeah, so but then they ended up not winning.
I don't think. I don't think they won the champions.
Speaker 1 (01:53:03):
Like, so, I remember only a handful of things from
basketball when that was it. One of them was metal
World piece elbowing the guy.
Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
From the thunder and Pace. Oh yeah, yeah, well I
remember that happening.
Speaker 1 (01:53:17):
And I remember I remember all the dudes who were
into sports were telling me to pick a team that
I liked in football, and I was like, those guys
are purple, I like them.
Speaker 2 (01:53:26):
And it was the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (01:53:27):
And that was.
Speaker 1 (01:53:27):
That was the year they won the super Bowl. Like
so you get to live now, I got more suit.
Speaker 5 (01:53:36):
Sports right now at all? The super Bowl is on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
Yeah, I totally forgot about that. I do know half
of that.
Speaker 4 (01:53:45):
So the super Bowl is on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:53:46):
I knew that, and I know that the Buccaneers, which
now have Tom Brady who was on the Patriots. You
got some knowledge, Yeah, well, I can't avoid it because
there's Times News. But I don't know who the other
team is. I I didn't look into that. Who's so
Buccaneers versus who?
Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
Uh fuck? Who they playing?
Speaker 5 (01:54:09):
And I watched the games to find out who it was, too.
Speaker 1 (01:54:13):
Jesus, the Buccaneers was playing more than it was the
Bill the Buccaneers because the Bills got to get kicked
out of him. Yeah, because Tom Brady from the Patriots,
who apparently is is a big deal, uh is? He
went there and so before that, I don't think I've
ever heard the name of the Buccaneers.
Speaker 5 (01:54:33):
Well, that's the thing that that's why I'm a little torn,
because because.
Speaker 2 (01:54:39):
I fucking.
Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
Are you still looking? What are you looking at?
Speaker 2 (01:54:44):
Sorry, I'm looking at who's actually playing? Sorry? Who's in
superbal twenty one?
Speaker 5 (01:54:50):
Chiefs and Bucks Chat Chiefs the Chiefs. But yeah, I
know nothing about the Chiefs. But but I'm a little
torn because because I don't want Tom Brady to win
another Super Bowl, ring because I'm so fucking tired of
him being into the Super.
Speaker 1 (01:55:03):
Well, I'll give it to him. He did bring another
team to the Super Bowl that I have never heard of.
Speaker 5 (01:55:09):
So but that's that's my point. Uh, And I'm like,
I don't want him to win, but but Steve's a
big Bucks fan. He's been a lifetime Bucks fan, and
they haven't won since like nineteen ninety eight. So I guess,
I guess you know, fuck it, I guess go Bucks.
Speaker 1 (01:55:29):
Yeah, all right, I'm gonna I'm typing this in NFL teams.
I want to know what teams I've heard of and
what teams I haven't heard of, Uh, Cheese, Buccaneers just now,
obviously Cowboys. Okay, so I'm gonna name the ones that
I haven't I got all these blah blah blah. Uh Saints.
(01:55:49):
I guess this is one that I don't hear titles
New Orleans. Yeah, okay, so there's not that many. I
thought there was a lot more.
Speaker 5 (01:55:56):
There's not that. There's not that many football teams.
Speaker 1 (01:55:58):
No, but Raven Ravens were the ones that I literally
was like, those guys have nice clothes. I like Ultimore, Baltimore,
Baltimore Ravens. Yes, I picked them, and that was the
year they won the Super Bowl and besides that, I
don't give a fuck about any of these other ones.
Speaker 2 (01:56:16):
This has been a geeks start sports.
Speaker 1 (01:56:22):
We have teams right now, right, we have the the
Rams and the Chargers.
Speaker 5 (01:56:26):
Yeah but I'm Rams. Okay, But why because ms were
the first football team in l A. And then they
moved to Saint Louis and.
Speaker 2 (01:56:35):
Now they're back Chargers.
Speaker 5 (01:56:38):
Chargers are originally from San Diego.
Speaker 1 (01:56:41):
Here's my question, and this is this goes back to tribalism.
Why the fund can't you be a fan of both?
Speaker 2 (01:56:45):
You can? You can? It's weird, like like like for
whoever wins.
Speaker 1 (01:56:52):
In the in the comments, someone's like you were saying
that guy was like when they were against the people
at Dodger Stadium, there must be Angel fans like why
can't you be bold?
Speaker 2 (01:57:03):
You can't.
Speaker 5 (01:57:03):
You can't be an Angels and a Dodgers fan. That's
there's no way, no, we'll kill you because it's it's
a rivalry for like you know the city. You can't.
You can't be an Angels fan and a Dodgers fan. Like,
I love baseball, so I'll go to an Angel.
Speaker 4 (01:57:22):
Wanavision talk, let's go, I guess.
Speaker 5 (01:57:29):
Talked about sports, so yeah, but I'll go to an
Angels game because I like Angel Stadium. I think Angel
Stadium is definitely much better than Dodger Stadium for sure.
Speaker 10 (01:57:38):
But uh.
Speaker 5 (01:57:40):
Like and I just love it.
Speaker 2 (01:57:43):
But I will go to a Dog.
Speaker 5 (01:57:44):
I will go to an Angels game as a Dodgers fan.
And I won't but I'll just not wear my colors.
I won't wear any Angel ship and I won't wear
any Dodger ship.
Speaker 2 (01:57:51):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:57:53):
I didn't pay, but I'll cheer for the Angels. I
totally forgot to play this while we're talking about Lebron.
Speaker 5 (01:58:06):
Yes, and you know what and and I but if
I'm going to an Angels Dodgers game, of course, if
I go to Angel Stadium, I'm wearing my Dodgers gear.
Speaker 2 (01:58:14):
Hmmm.
Speaker 5 (01:58:15):
If the Dodgers playing, If I would go to pet
Coe Park and you know, and uh, but the Padres
were playing the Dodgers, I'd be wearing my Dodgers garb.
But I I would like to go watch the game
at that stadium.
Speaker 2 (01:58:30):
Mm hmm makes tense.
Speaker 4 (01:58:35):
Yeah, I am over the sports talk to be honest.
Speaker 1 (01:58:39):
Okay, actually, hold on, Ricky, I say you the thing
in the private chat did you want to talk about
that at all.
Speaker 2 (01:58:51):
I don't know anything about it, to be honest, I
I just saw.
Speaker 4 (01:58:56):
I was like, fucking h Elon Musk.
Speaker 2 (01:59:00):
What was it?
Speaker 1 (01:59:00):
I want to pull it up right now, Elon Musk.
Speaker 2 (01:59:05):
I didn't even know he had a company like this.
Speaker 1 (01:59:07):
No, I knew he had Nordlink has implanted a device
in a monkey's brain and hopes to make it play
video games in its own mind?
Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
What Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:59:20):
What the what the what the actual fuck?
Speaker 2 (01:59:22):
Elon Musk? Elon be crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:59:25):
Elon is about to start playing the apes, so be
very prepared for that to apes strong together.
Speaker 2 (01:59:36):
Just over one's Oh and now at.
Speaker 1 (01:59:40):
Him on the shoulder, Oh good, Hey just wants to
be James Franco. Huh, yeah, I start it. I'm just
gonna start this thing.
Speaker 2 (01:59:56):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:59:56):
We are getting into water division talk. So for anyone
right now who will is listening or watching or whatever
and has not caught up on their WandaVision that doesn't
want to get spoiled or doesn't want to talk about
shit that may happen or why it's happening, thank you
very much for listening. The rest of this podcast will
(02:00:17):
basically be about that. So let's jump into it. Ryan
d has left. That is fine, Ricky, you are all
caught up with Wanda Vision, correct. I am awesome. So
right now we are up to episode four as of now,
as of right the fuck now, February two, and I
(02:00:39):
every episode that I watch more and more. I love
this show. I think that it is so good. It
is a little bit of a risk because of how
they're doing it, and I get that because people are
people are pissed that it's I mean, this is interesting
because the MCU to date not talking about Netflix because
(02:01:00):
technically I feel like they are in a different actual
sort of thing has only been in the movie Universe.
Movie Universe, So megafans of the MCU are all about
getting what they.
Speaker 2 (02:01:13):
Want within a.
Speaker 1 (02:01:16):
Roughly three hour timeframe. This is making us wait, just
like you know a lot of other shows of course,
and back in the day, as far as TV goes,
I kind of like that for some reason people have
more of a problem with it. And then like say
the Mandalorian, I've seen a lot of uproar on the
(02:01:36):
Internet about people who are like, oh, it's so slow,
I didn't know who's going on, blah blah blah. I
want more information and like that's how TV works, motherfuckers. Uh,
I'm just gonna just gonna move this person because but
I'm just like you guys, just fucking chill, hang out
(02:01:57):
with the fucking h the story, and and of course
from episode one you got the hint that what is
Even if you have never seen a trailer, you understand
that what is going on is not the only thing
that's going on.
Speaker 2 (02:02:14):
Yeah, and I for one am very excited about it.
Would I love all of it at once? Sure?
Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
Do I appreciate this also? Yes, because like, well, I
think I liken this back to uh Lost back in
the day, where I was like, this is like Pleasantville
meats Lost, and I'm like, I love it. I was
one of those people cheers, I'll cheer you another drink, Okay, cool,
I'm gonna stip this now and drink.
Speaker 5 (02:02:47):
God.
Speaker 1 (02:02:47):
I am one of those people who back in the day,
we used to have Lost parties, Like we literally had
people over and we all.
Speaker 5 (02:02:55):
Watched Lost every I never got into Lost.
Speaker 2 (02:02:59):
I loved it.
Speaker 1 (02:03:00):
Every week we'd have people over watch Loss and then
talk about what the fuck we thought was going on
because there wasn't a straight answer.
Speaker 2 (02:03:08):
Yeah, I would fucking show.
Speaker 1 (02:03:11):
Yeah, I will say, I will say it has a
lot more uh explanation to it. To be honest, I
think that absolutely. I think that it's a lot more
It's not nearly as confusing as lot. However, for the
common fan, obviously we know that we are not We
are people who who like to study things. We like
(02:03:32):
to fucking understand things a little bit more, yes, and
so we deep dive into all this stuff. But I
think for the common fan, yes, it's it's a little weird,
but it's it's it's meant to be more understandable.
Speaker 5 (02:03:43):
So question, this is a discussion I really wanted to
have with you guys. Okay, because of that, because of
what we're talking about, right, do you do we live
in an era where it's now like fuck you if
you don't actually pay attention you know what I mean?
Like were because because because for the common person, for
(02:04:03):
the common person coming in to watch this show, it
is very fucking confusing. And the fact that you and
I know you're trying, you're trying to say that, like
there is a lot of like explanation and stuff like that,
for sure, but on episode four, so when you're going
into this goes. When you're going into this as somebody
(02:04:23):
completely blind and just want to put on a TV show,
you have no fucking clue what's going on, and you're
gonna turn it off within those first two episodes because
you're completely lost, or you'll keep watching this to see
out on unfolds. There's two different types of people obviously,
who watch TV. I, for one, if I were somebody
completely completely not adapted to all the cinematic universe and
(02:04:48):
all this shit, If if I were to put this
on and I watched that first episode, I would have said,
fuck this show.
Speaker 1 (02:04:55):
See that is something that I'm very curious about. And
h there's only like, okay, so I've been telling people
to watch this. The people that have been telling them
to watch specifically are people that are not like us
where we kind of want to be want to but
they haven't watched it yet. So I can't tell you
that answer because I've had the exact same question, and
(02:05:18):
I'm like, I'm very curious how someone who doesn't pay
attention to ship like we do or fair enough to
be like, oh shit, what does that mean?
Speaker 2 (02:05:28):
Or oh is this homage to this? Or oh is
this this?
Speaker 1 (02:05:30):
Like I want to know what other people think, like
I actually know what I will say. I want to
ask this, Ricky, Ricky, can you hear me?
Speaker 2 (02:05:39):
Ricky?
Speaker 1 (02:05:39):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 2 (02:05:42):
Do you want to buildest?
Speaker 5 (02:05:43):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:05:43):
Man? There you go? Cool? Can you hear me? Yep? No,
I can't. Sorry, what's up?
Speaker 1 (02:05:48):
Awesome? So, so both you and Justin and your wife
have are caught up on WandaVision.
Speaker 2 (02:05:54):
Correct correct?
Speaker 1 (02:05:56):
Uh? And I know she's not like the most like
just like you know what, what's the word I'm looking for?
Just casual viewer. I know she's she's very nerdy like
we are, but not very very nerdy like we are. Yeah,
when you guys first started watching, did you did you
watch along? Like did you start on episode one and
then wait a week or one and two and then
(02:06:17):
wait a week, et cetera.
Speaker 2 (02:06:19):
Yep, how did she like it? Did?
Speaker 1 (02:06:22):
Did you guys talk about it? I want to I
really want to know, because Ryan and I were so Yeah,
I was gonna I was gonna bring this up from
what you were saying to you, like in the beginning,
how how people were saying it was slow? You know,
I I do agree with that in a way where
it's like, yeah, it was slow, but you know, the
the idea that there was something else going on, the
(02:06:44):
idea that there was obviously something bigger happening.
Speaker 2 (02:06:48):
That's what kept me invested the entire time.
Speaker 6 (02:06:50):
And and I think, you know, Gary and I were
talking about this while we were like, you know, just
random day, like we were gaming, like you know, we
we didn't really enjoy It's so much like the sitcom stuff,
like it was good.
Speaker 2 (02:07:03):
But you know it's it's not like thank you, not
like what I was watching it.
Speaker 5 (02:07:09):
That's what I was saying. That's what I was saying.
Was the first time we talked about it.
Speaker 2 (02:07:12):
Yeah, yeah, I know, I totally agree. I totally agree.
Speaker 6 (02:07:16):
So so I even asked my wife that too, because
I was like, yeah, like I wonder, like I mean,
she's she's she you know, she's really into the Marvel.
She's fully caught up in all the all the movies everything,
you know, she's seen every all of it. So she's like, yeah,
she's like, I just want to know what's happening. Like
you know, she was the same thing, like I want
to know what's going on.
Speaker 5 (02:07:31):
That's how I was. That's why I think this last
episode was the best episode.
Speaker 1 (02:07:36):
Yeah, and my girl Cat Dannings was finally hell yeah,
shout out Cat Dan.
Speaker 5 (02:07:45):
That yeah, she's bad. So what Gary and I were
talking about before you came back was I was I
was asking, do you think we live in a world
now where this kind of fandom that's kind of just
taken over and for a moderate viewer, it's just kind
(02:08:07):
of fuck you go watch the movies or or like,
are we are we living in a world where because
it seems like they really tried to cater to to
to just a wider audience or whatever, which But but
like anybody who in my opinion, anybody who's watching this
show that hasn't actually been so in depth the way
(02:08:30):
we have about these movies and the series and ship,
they're not gonna fully enjoy it the way we are.
Speaker 1 (02:08:36):
But I feel like they're not really gonna have any
understanding of like what's even happening.
Speaker 2 (02:08:40):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (02:08:42):
So I also didn't get a full answer though, like
liked did just even like it? Or she's just only
like I really want to know what sounds like did
she like it or not?
Speaker 2 (02:08:50):
Basically is what I was.
Speaker 1 (02:08:51):
She likes it for the fact that it's gonna be
it's gonna you know, we're gonna find out she's basically
in our mindset.
Speaker 2 (02:08:58):
Yeah for sure. Okay, so that's where I'm wondering, Like
in mindset.
Speaker 5 (02:09:02):
He basically said, basically pretty much, she's on the same
page as what I said, which was when I said
I hated that first episode because I was like, we
fucking know already, move it on, you know.
Speaker 1 (02:09:11):
Yeah, like none of us were laughing any of the jokes.
Speaker 5 (02:09:13):
Exactly, very flat. And then and then finally at the
end of that episode we get something, you know. And
then an episode gets a little more, a little a
little more. Third episode it gets really intense, you know,
and then this fourth episode we finally get like, holy shit,
this is what's going on?
Speaker 6 (02:09:31):
Which, yeah, and then I think the thing I love
about it too is that, like, you know, we we
go back to like the first episode, but like we
see now in the back end of it.
Speaker 1 (02:09:38):
Yes, Like I do like that a lot too. Yeah,
I understand now why they set up so much of it.
Speaker 5 (02:09:44):
Yes, yes, totally, totally, totally, No, for sure. I mean obviously.
Speaker 2 (02:09:51):
I was like, what is that a ghost?
Speaker 5 (02:09:58):
It's the ghost of Santa Claus If.
Speaker 2 (02:10:00):
He wants Like I was just like, oh shit, is
someone's behind you?
Speaker 1 (02:10:13):
Where did he go?
Speaker 2 (02:10:18):
All right?
Speaker 1 (02:10:18):
But yes, okay, so so this is so interesting like
this episode. Uh, it's just like so so you could
you could obviously guess what's going on if you paid
attention to it. I mean, I kind of envy people
that that don't pay attention to it, because I would
love to just be surprised by everything. As someone who's
only surprised by by stuff that's very much kept under wraps.
Speaker 4 (02:10:41):
It's like, okay, okay, okay, this is gonna happen. Oh shit,
Oh that happened.
Speaker 2 (02:10:46):
Oh that was cool.
Speaker 1 (02:10:46):
I was right, or oh I was wrong. Uh, but
I really liked how they they they they made it
so you understood. They gave you three episodes and then
all of a sudden they're like, all right, now, we
got to let people understand what's kind of happening, uh,
for people who don't deep dive into it.
Speaker 5 (02:11:05):
But that's what I'm trying to say is like I
think I think they're kind of dooming themselves for new
viewers on this, But I mean, but I think they're
banking on people like us anyway. That's what I'm trying
to say, like, yeah, I fully agree.
Speaker 6 (02:11:17):
It's like I don't understand how at this point they
expect to get new like new people just like on
board at this point.
Speaker 5 (02:11:24):
Yeah, exactly, You're not gonna get a new viewer on
this Marvel TV show after after ten years of set up.
Speaker 2 (02:11:29):
You know, I don't there's no what they're thinking.
Speaker 1 (02:11:32):
Are I think that they understand that they are first
and foremost the most widely.
Speaker 4 (02:11:39):
Viewed franchise in the world right now.
Speaker 1 (02:11:43):
Yeah, So basically they're kind of banking on ship like
this where people that don't watch it have friends like
us who are like, you got you haven't fucking watched
like you know thor Ragnrock, you haven't watched The Captain
American Civil War, blah blah blah, check it out.
Speaker 5 (02:11:57):
Like think think of being the person that like, let's say,
let's just say like like I know somebody, you know,
I've been hanging out with somebody who who knows nothing.
And if I were to be like I've been watching
this show and then I sit her down and then
we put it on, she should be completely fucking lost.
And then and and I sitting there and can you
(02:12:18):
imagine being the person next to that person going oh,
well it's because this happened and then with all the
infinity stones and no, no, no, you have to like
explain that because yeah, he's actually dead dead not not
like not blipped, not yeah she is weekend at burning Zim.
Speaker 2 (02:12:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:12:52):
She's no.
Speaker 2 (02:12:56):
So uh.
Speaker 1 (02:12:58):
For instance, like I have friends I talk to you
and they're like, wait, what what is this? And they've
watched it, but like not everyone pays attention the same
way that we pay attention?
Speaker 5 (02:13:07):
Actually can I I want to get into this discussion
a little bit more, actually because because I'm never left. No,
I'm talking about about like like this idea of people
who aren't in in depth?
Speaker 2 (02:13:21):
What who aren't us?
Speaker 5 (02:13:25):
Yeah exactly, So like I get, I get so, I'm
I'm starting to realize that there are a big group
of people. There's a lot of people who aren't into
ship like this the way we are. So uh so
I get like I have to like take a step
back and be like, oh, yeah, okay, well I guess
(02:13:49):
you're you're not as big a geek as I am
or whatever, you know what I mean. I guess this
ship isn't as important because I'm realizing especially with dating
and stuff. Right, Like I'm to talk to somebody and
they're like, I never watched Star Wars. I'm like, fucking
how fucking And it's like I have to like take
a step back and be like, Okay, there there are
(02:14:11):
people out there who just had no desire or opportunity
or or somebody around them to like really introduce them
to these things.
Speaker 1 (02:14:20):
And and well, I was gonna say that that because
actually brings me back to something like, you guys, remember
how I Met your Mother Where there's that one episode.
Speaker 2 (02:14:30):
Where Ted yeah is dating the mom check and.
Speaker 1 (02:14:34):
She's like, you've never seen Star Wars and then they
show her Star Wars and then to him, she's like
that was really good. I loved it, and yeah, that's awesome.
And then she talks to his best friend. She's she's like, no,
I hated it, but for him, I loved it. Like yeah,
that makes sense. That's so weird.
Speaker 5 (02:14:54):
I think that's sweet. I think that's.
Speaker 2 (02:14:58):
Barking.
Speaker 5 (02:15:01):
There's a part of me that like watching exactly what
you're talking about, Like I felt that as as a
friend and you know, as a friend of you guys,
and and like, you know, if if you and I
were dating somebody who didn't like Star Wars like that
that would be offensive to me, right, But.
Speaker 2 (02:15:22):
But then you know, I don't know, getting a.
Speaker 5 (02:15:25):
Little bit older and stuff, you kind of I feel
like it's not that bad, you know, it's it's it's
it's okay for like, it's okay for people to not
enjoy the things you enjoy, you know, but as long
as but as long as they as long as they
enjoy it for the sake of you, I think is very.
Speaker 2 (02:15:41):
Long they enjoy that you enjoy it, like exactly I
have learned that a while ago.
Speaker 5 (02:15:47):
Is that, but.
Speaker 1 (02:15:50):
There is there is a balance, Like you don't have
to love everything I love, obviously, but I do want
to like enjoy things with you. So, for instance, you
don't have to love Star Wars or all these movies
or all this all this stuff that I'm like super
nerdy about. But I'm like, if if I want to
like go have sushi, you can't be like, no, fuck,
(02:16:10):
sushi's horrible, Like that's.
Speaker 5 (02:16:13):
Well, of course you have to have some sort of
common ground. But like what I'm saying is like we're
very passionate people about things that were our childhood but
that's because we were we were little boys always loving
this kind of style of you know, superhero and a
(02:16:34):
hero and and like we idolize these these guys and
whose fictional characters because we didn't we didn't have maybe
we didn't have some sort of you know, some sort
of guidance or something like that, you know what I mean.
So that I think that's why.
Speaker 1 (02:16:48):
I mean, I don't think that's why everyone does it,
But I understand what you're saying, because definitely you and
I both have that in common where there there is
a level of a missing element in our in our
upbringing for sure, and that but.
Speaker 2 (02:17:03):
I am, yeah, I'm kidding about that, That's what I'm saying.
So like everyone like like, because I said, this is
like the number one franchise in the world. Is so
all these people not have that.
Speaker 5 (02:17:14):
I mean, it's just it's to some people that they
just never had they never had the desire and and
that makes sense more and more to me now. But like,
but but but I'm having a hard time dealing with it,
you know, because because because I'm like, how but also
I'm thinking I'm thinking the the opposing idea now too,
(02:17:37):
because because because I've I've I've dated and dealt with
so many people who have similar interests and we've been
but like that's that's what keeps me with them, you know,
it's just because we're we're so alike what you share, Yeah,
and we ship, we can share these things together. But
that that doesn't mean it's a good relationship, you.
Speaker 4 (02:17:59):
Know, No, of course not.
Speaker 2 (02:18:01):
I think a good relationship.
Speaker 1 (02:18:02):
I mean I have an idea have a good relationship,
and it is just like it's not necessarily having to
be on the same page with everything that I don't
want someone that agrees with me on everything.
Speaker 5 (02:18:15):
I don't Ricky, you're still muted.
Speaker 2 (02:18:19):
Oh I don't bad. Huh what was he going to
say something?
Speaker 5 (02:18:25):
I know, I just noticed his his microphone. That's just
all I was thinking about lately. Just it's just that
like I'm so fucking obsessed with these things and movies and.
Speaker 1 (02:18:38):
Yeah, absolutely, I I don't think that that a good
partner would be someone that agrees with and or loves
everything you love talents, but also a partnership.
Speaker 2 (02:18:49):
So it's like from my.
Speaker 1 (02:18:52):
Yeah, in my head, it's it's like someone that's like,
oh you love that, that's awesome. I love that for you,
but I also wants to go on journeys.
Speaker 5 (02:18:59):
With you, you know, like exactly. Yeah, and like you know,
there's but there's there's also there's a part of me
that that really enjoys like getting people to experience my experience,
you know what I mean, Like like, yeah, if if
they've never watched these movies or never been a part
(02:19:19):
of it, like like I'm gonna explain to you why
this is so important to me and and why you
know what I mean, and I want to watch you
watch it for the first time.
Speaker 1 (02:19:29):
Yeah, that's the best to be honest, is uh, that's
actually kind of how I show my affection to be honest.
Speaker 4 (02:19:35):
Is I love sharing what I love with what I love?
Speaker 5 (02:19:40):
Yeah, exactly. And look, you know I'm not there's a
lot of ship that I don't like, but I'm but
I'm open to a.
Speaker 2 (02:19:46):
Lot, you know, some.
Speaker 1 (02:19:48):
So I want people to share what they love with
me too, Like that's that's the whole thing.
Speaker 5 (02:19:53):
Sure, Yeah, exactly. So this person I've been talking to
ask ask me about line dancing, Okay, I would break
up with them immediately in some country stuff. I did
it when I was a kid, and.
Speaker 2 (02:20:13):
I said, I said I won't.
Speaker 5 (02:20:17):
I was like, I'm completely not into it. But I
was like, but if you would like me to go,
like I would you.
Speaker 1 (02:20:24):
Know, yes, of course that that's the answer.
Speaker 4 (02:20:30):
I'm like, you want to go line asking like.
Speaker 5 (02:20:40):
I don't know, but I'm saying though, like it's it
is a cultural thing, whether you want to talk, you know,
whether you want to argue about it or not. It
is something that you know, a lot of people do
a lot, and a lot of different cultures do, and
it and and it's whatever, right, like, but but here's
the thing is I'm such a fucking asshole that I
would just be like, okay, but we have to watch
(02:21:01):
all three Star Wars movies.
Speaker 2 (02:21:05):
I see.
Speaker 1 (02:21:06):
Here's here's something I've learned this. Never treat it as
a well first of all, the treat it as a consequence.
Not good obviously.
Speaker 5 (02:21:14):
But I'm not saying that. I'm just saying I'm trying
something new, so you should too.
Speaker 2 (02:21:20):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (02:21:21):
So we could be like, hey, okay, yeah that sounds good.
Would you also try this with me?
Speaker 2 (02:21:27):
Is something?
Speaker 1 (02:21:27):
But what I've learned is that like like my past
girlfriend has been like yeah, my ex boyfriend he's like oh,
you've never seen Star Wars. And then he showed me
like six Star Wars movies and I hate in a row,
like in the same day. Yeah, and she's like and
I was like, why is this the option? Like, no, like,
get me a movie and we'll move from there.
Speaker 2 (02:21:47):
But she she was like no.
Speaker 1 (02:21:48):
He straight up sat me down and is like, you're
gonna watch all six of these movies right now?
Speaker 5 (02:21:53):
Okay, So I'm pretty sure the person I'm talking about
it has seeing Star Wars but no.
Speaker 1 (02:21:59):
But I'm just saying it's like they kept sharing something
and like, well, I'm imposing something upon someone is for sure.
Speaker 5 (02:22:09):
But anyway, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:22:11):
I don't know. She doesn't seem very uh.
Speaker 1 (02:22:17):
Jesus, that was actually impressive.
Speaker 5 (02:22:28):
It doesn't seem very like like that, right, She's just
completely oblivious.
Speaker 2 (02:22:34):
Right.
Speaker 5 (02:22:34):
So I was like, we got to start an Iron
Man one and she's like, okay.
Speaker 1 (02:22:41):
I mean it kind of sucks that she I don't
know if that's accurate. I get what you said, but
I'm like, if she's like, fine, I'll watch Iron Man.
Speaker 5 (02:22:49):
She was like okay, you know, like like like if
just like if that's what you want me to do.
Speaker 4 (02:22:54):
Like cal yeah, Like the ideal is like, hey, I
really like this franchise.
Speaker 2 (02:22:59):
I want to watch Man.
Speaker 4 (02:23:00):
Would you watch it with me? She's like, all right,
i'll try. I'll check it out.
Speaker 1 (02:23:03):
And she's totally in her realm be like after fucking
thirty forty minutes back, it's kind of weird.
Speaker 5 (02:23:09):
I don't want Yeah, I know, I know, but it's
a little upsetting, right, But but at the same time,
But at the same time, you don't need to be
like I said, you don't need to be the same
person and I have the same interest because actually I'd
like to have it all to myself anyway.
Speaker 2 (02:23:28):
Oh shit, I forgot my cat wasn't here.
Speaker 1 (02:23:32):
She brought whatever. You forget your pets are there, and
she like rubs her across my leg and.
Speaker 2 (02:23:36):
Fuck the fuck is that? Yeah? Hey, did you did?
Speaker 1 (02:23:41):
Speaking of wish, like that's that's like the one thing
like I guess I'm really lucky about is you know,
me and my wife both have similar interests when it
comes to like Marvel and Disney.
Speaker 2 (02:23:50):
And Star Wars.
Speaker 6 (02:23:52):
Yeah, but I mean we like, you know, like like
Eric said, there's a balance where, like you know, there's
certain things where you know, I'm really into into technology
and she has no idea like what most of the
stuff is. And she really into trash TV like the
fucking Kardashians, and I fucking hate that ship. Watch it right, Like, yeah,
(02:24:13):
I mean she said, she showed me things like, you know,
the Gilmore Girls and Miss maisl and I loved it.
Speaker 5 (02:24:19):
I fucking love so at some point, at some point
one of my favorite things, well, you know, obviously it
all ended in flames, but one of the one of
the one of my favorite things to do with with
Vicky was like she wasn't really I would.
Speaker 1 (02:24:31):
We were really into Nighty Day Fiance, and so the
both of us would watch it just talk mad ship,
you know, and it was like one of my favorite
things to do was like would watch this trash ass
TV show and be like and just laugh about it
because these people are just silly.
Speaker 2 (02:24:49):
Yeah, but it was definitely a balance for sure. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:24:53):
But then also, you know, kind of back to what
I was talking about there was I was, you guys know,
I was dating somebody early last year that I didn't
care about any of this ship that I was into,
but like didn't care that but never said anything negative
about it either. You know what I mean. So, like,
(02:25:13):
so I had a weird I was still like kind
of you know, figuring things out. So like I'd be like,
do you mind if I can I called duty with
the guys, And she's like, I don't give a fuck,
do whatever you want, just you know, She's like, I'm
just here. I'll just read like yeah, She's like, why
do you have to ask me every time you want
(02:25:35):
to want you want to play video games?
Speaker 2 (02:25:36):
I'm like, I don't know, I'm damaged.
Speaker 5 (02:25:43):
And and then and then at some point sometimes she
would watch me play video games and then and just
be like you should be like goddamn you suck or
something like that, you know what I mean. And I
I and it's like I saw this TikTok where this
guy where this guy this girl was talking about it,
and she was saying like, oh, for those girls who
complain about like going over to guy's house and and
(02:26:05):
you know, and hanging out with him, and all he
does while he wants to do is watch movies or
play video games. She was just like She's like, that's
because he enjoys those things and he enjoys being around you,
so he wants you to really like just just be
around him while he experiences things.
Speaker 2 (02:26:20):
That he enjoys.
Speaker 5 (02:26:22):
And it's like, well, that's such a simplest like we
know that, but like a lot of you know, a
lot of people don't know that, you know what I mean.
I don't know. I just thought that was kind of
I was like, fucking yeah, that's exactly what it is.
Like I I'm like, obviously, like if if you don't
want me to to play, if if we're but if
we're hanging out for a long time, and I'm like,
(02:26:43):
fuck god, what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (02:26:49):
He said TikTok. I was like, uh, I saw a
really good TikTok. We do actually have to talk over
this because I'm pretty sure this is this is awesome.
Speaker 2 (02:27:02):
Yeah, how crazy is that? This is the first one
I saw? And then after this all I got was
videos of hot.
Speaker 1 (02:27:09):
Chicks I will I will say say this for sure
is like I was thinking about doing a comedy version
of that trend too.
Speaker 2 (02:27:24):
I saw that.
Speaker 4 (02:27:24):
I was like, that's pretty hlarious.
Speaker 2 (02:27:27):
Thing was to be.
Speaker 4 (02:27:29):
Actually more of a nightmare on elmtream street thing.
Speaker 2 (02:27:32):
I saw that.
Speaker 1 (02:27:33):
I saw it worse than my idea, but it was
already out there it's like whatever. I also don't own
any of those props.
Speaker 5 (02:27:38):
So a lot of efforts for me to do this
really is really funny when it was this hot hot
chick and then but then she goes but then when
it turns red, she's like in this job of the
Hut costume, which is really funny.
Speaker 1 (02:27:55):
Okay, So so there are a handful of like, like
I actually make it so that I don't follow many
like thirst trappie people or people are trying to do it.
Speaker 5 (02:28:06):
And I try not to either, but like I guess
my early algorithm and like and like the the the
songs that I listened to and or the song you
know what I mean, like the trends that come through,
like I get so many thirst trappy ones and and
so I went on this ramp. But yeah, thank you
by the way for ruining my joke. But the one
on Instagram nothing, No. I ended up taking it down
(02:28:27):
because I knew I was a target.
Speaker 1 (02:28:30):
It wasn't a fucking it was just like you understand
this Everything on the internet is about.
Speaker 2 (02:28:35):
I know, I know.
Speaker 5 (02:28:36):
But then but what I posted when I thought I
was drunk, so I was like, but it was it
was like there was okay, Ricky, I don't know if
you know what happened. Okay, So I so I started
I posted this video or like a screen cap of
like I just started going to on TikTok all these
thirst trap videos. I just started just commenting no.
Speaker 1 (02:28:57):
So I was like no, yeah, I was behind every
everybody who said put your phone away. Why just I mean,
you're saying no, it's not gonna do a goddamn thing.
Speaker 5 (02:29:07):
Right, No, But I just it was funny, okay, cool whatever,
fuck you. I just thought it was funny anyway. So
then I so I posted this thing on on Instagram
and then and then I was like, oh, I realized.
And then after it was like first one funny, second
one okay, third, one, fifth one. Garrett was like number seven,
(02:29:30):
and I was like, okay, I need to fucking delete
this because everyone's just gonna comment no on my fucking page.
Speaker 1 (02:29:36):
Yeah, And in all, honestly, I didn't care if anyone
else did. I didn't look at the comments.
Speaker 2 (02:29:40):
I'm just like, yeah, I know, but but your.
Speaker 5 (02:29:43):
Mors infuriated me so much. And I realized that like that,
I was just a target now, and I was like,
fuck this all right.
Speaker 4 (02:29:49):
I was like, you're setting yourself up.
Speaker 2 (02:29:52):
I know.
Speaker 5 (02:29:52):
I didn't realize it at the time, but then I realized,
oh yeah, I was yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (02:29:57):
Either way, I just want to share this with you guys.
I was like, there's one, there's there's a handful of
people that I follow that I'm like, I just can't
not really because but they did that. This is actually
the first of that trend that I saw. And then
then it blew up. Not saying she was the first,
I'm just saying this is the first that I saw,
and I was like, I love that, love that, love that,
and again, we gotta we gotta make sure that that
(02:30:19):
we talked.
Speaker 2 (02:30:21):
Mute the sound at all. Oh yeah, but but okay,
there we go.
Speaker 1 (02:30:29):
Oh oh this a lot, and like she's completely topless
on this one. So I'm like, yes, there's a few
of those. That's amazing.
Speaker 2 (02:30:44):
I'm very for this. My name is Get.
Speaker 6 (02:30:48):
It's funnier to me that I didn't see like any
of these until I saw Ryan's and then that was
all that popped up.
Speaker 2 (02:30:53):
In my feet. I was like, what's happening.
Speaker 5 (02:30:58):
Okay, So here's the thing too.
Speaker 1 (02:31:00):
It was I did it for TikTok, but totally got
like thirty views and on fucking Instagram it's like a
two thousand.
Speaker 2 (02:31:08):
Yeah, oh yeah, how that works, dude?
Speaker 1 (02:31:12):
And okay, so also funny enough, a lot of people
have been following have started using a specific app that
I'm gonna wait just for the effect of it that
Ryan has definitely been touting beforehand, but until now, I
haven't gone on. So if you want, you can go
ahead and call me on stereo Garrett or no, just
(02:31:32):
Garret Lee, actually one word Garrette. Now I'm on stereo
and I think we're gonna start doing side by side.
Speaker 5 (02:31:40):
Uh I quit the show.
Speaker 4 (02:31:49):
Yeah, I haven't tried it. I literally signed up two days.
Speaker 5 (02:31:52):
I'm actually a fucking stereo creator and I and I
stopped doing because none of my friends would sign up
so that I could fucking talk of them on it,
because I was tired of talking to strangers.
Speaker 1 (02:32:03):
You want to do a stereo thing, I'm fucking pissed
off right now.
Speaker 2 (02:32:07):
I haven't heard the stereo stereo now we want now.
Speaker 5 (02:32:13):
And I'm still I'm still at the bottom of the
goddamn fucking thing because I didn't do any hours at
the time.
Speaker 8 (02:32:19):
I just got.
Speaker 2 (02:32:25):
Now there's a new ship. God damn.
Speaker 4 (02:32:28):
Okay, so I will say this.
Speaker 5 (02:32:30):
I don't you what Stereo was fucking months ago.
Speaker 2 (02:32:34):
God damn it. Listen to things you say, rhyme, what
is it with you?
Speaker 5 (02:32:44):
We don't need a fucking breakdown. I told you what
they were paying Beta. They were paying me to pass.
Speaker 2 (02:33:01):
They pay all of us. That's a problem.
Speaker 5 (02:33:11):
I would really right now you went, do you want
full down?
Speaker 2 (02:33:18):
Never go full down? Veto bro.
Speaker 1 (02:33:24):
Hold me on Garrett Lee on Stereo, and we'll have
some conversations, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:33:32):
For sure? All right?
Speaker 4 (02:33:34):
Uh, I guess that was our Wanda talk. That's it really.
Speaker 5 (02:33:40):
I want to talking about the episode. I wanted to
get into the spoilers.
Speaker 1 (02:33:43):
Oh yeah, no, okay, yeah, I just know we're doing that.
All right, do that, but I really have to peace.
Speaker 2 (02:33:48):
So do it with Ricky Lord again.
Speaker 5 (02:33:49):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:33:51):
I also my cat, she keeps bring against my legs.
Speaker 5 (02:33:53):
Anyway, Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:34:01):
Did they?
Speaker 5 (02:34:01):
Okay, So this is what I want to bring up.
Speaker 2 (02:34:02):
First.
Speaker 5 (02:34:03):
First of all, did you know did you notice Jimmy
Wo's little card trick?
Speaker 2 (02:34:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:34:08):
So actually Gary and I were talking about this. I
forgot I think yesterday we were gaming, but uh, we're
both in a New Rock Stays nas.
Speaker 5 (02:34:17):
I saw the breakdown there you go finally, Oh my god,
how many fucking weeks have we been talking about that
that you guys haven't fucking got up.
Speaker 2 (02:34:26):
Garrett just brought it up and I got into it,
bro I.
Speaker 5 (02:34:31):
And no one talks about it until later.
Speaker 2 (02:34:36):
Garrett told me about this brown New.
Speaker 5 (02:34:39):
October fucking Kai when it came on and no one
started watching it. Jill was on Netflix. I've been talking
about the New rock Stars in the past eight months.
Speaker 1 (02:34:49):
Garrett told me about this cool dude called New rock Stars,
So I got into it.
Speaker 5 (02:35:00):
Dude, and you know what, both of you are fucking
notorious for this too, because even there was even like
a fuck I don't remember what band, but I remember this.
Speaker 2 (02:35:08):
I did.
Speaker 5 (02:35:09):
I definitely remember this. And this was like high school ship,
like like I remember telling you about a band and
then you fucking found them because they came out with
a new album and then you're like, you've ever heard
of this band? And I was like, dude, I fucking
told you about this band like a year ago.
Speaker 2 (02:35:27):
Maybe anyway, but.
Speaker 6 (02:35:34):
Yeah, no, I did not notice that until until I
saw the New rock Stars and I was like, oh, ship,
he watched.
Speaker 5 (02:35:40):
The new Okay, so check this ship out, right. So
before that New rock Stars Breakdown came out and this
is why, so I watched it last night. But I
but I also did fan cast.
Speaker 2 (02:35:51):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (02:35:52):
I jumped on a podcast they were doing and with
with my brother Matt and and and d and every
theory I had broken down on New rock Stars. Everything,
literally everything I fucking said on that on that episode
was so I'm like watching, I was like, that's what
I said, That's what I said, and I'm watching, like
(02:36:14):
I don't know if it's if it's because of that
show or that that that YouTube channel that like I
watched things differently now, but but but I just was theorized.
But based on all the things they had they had,
you know, educated me on before. When I watched this
last episode, that's what I was explaining. I'm like, and
(02:36:34):
and neither of them believed me, but like, you know,
that's a very valid source of you know, theories and whatnot.
You know, So so I saw them pretty much validate
everything I had just said. I was like, holy shit,
I'm good at this.
Speaker 6 (02:36:53):
Because like even New Rockstars said, like, you know, on
the Breakdown, when he's like, right, stuff on the board.
Speaker 5 (02:36:57):
It's like all that he was talking about Hexicon Wait
wait say what.
Speaker 6 (02:37:04):
All the stuff that like, yeah, he had mentioned his theories,
but also all this stuff was on the wife exactly.
Speaker 5 (02:37:09):
So like so you know, kind of same similar thing
was like all the stuff that they had talked about.
I gathered and then I watched this episode before I
watched the New rock Stars breakdown. But everything, every everything
I was theorizing was was was broken down on the
New Rockstar. I was like, holy ship, like they should
they should call me too.
Speaker 2 (02:37:37):
Copyrighted dog.
Speaker 5 (02:37:41):
So I have a bone to pick with you, motherfucker cool?
Speaker 10 (02:37:45):
Do it?
Speaker 2 (02:37:47):
So?
Speaker 5 (02:37:47):
Now you guys are just New rock Stars fans all
of a sudden? Is that what's going on?
Speaker 2 (02:37:51):
Okay? I will say this.
Speaker 1 (02:37:52):
I don't know if it tells you when you sign up.
I was subscribed to New rock Stars before you said
New Rockstars. So oh, so what's your what's your bone?
Speaker 10 (02:38:03):
Then?
Speaker 2 (02:38:03):
But what the fuck I mean?
Speaker 5 (02:38:05):
I've been talking about these guys for months and months
and months, and now all of a sudden, because WandaVision
comes out, you guys are finally paying attention.
Speaker 1 (02:38:12):
I've been paying attention for for months and months and months. Yeah,
I've already I've already been subscribed. I don't know what
you're talking about.
Speaker 5 (02:38:19):
All right, we should not talk about new rock star
stuff until after we do it. What we should theorize
our theories and then watch New rock Stars.
Speaker 2 (02:38:29):
They're they're like day of we don't do I know.
Speaker 5 (02:38:33):
I'm saying we should just not watch them and then
our ideas.
Speaker 2 (02:38:39):
I'm not gonna do that. No, I don't want to
do that. I'm just I'm just saying. We do a show,
well every Tuesday.
Speaker 5 (02:38:50):
So you WandaVision doesn't come out to fucking Friday.
Speaker 1 (02:38:56):
Well, I know when it comes out on Friday, their
video come out.
Speaker 5 (02:39:01):
Is anyway my point? You missed it all. But I
was right about everything. A New rock Stars fucking validated it.
You weren't necessarily right, right, No, but you guys, okay,
fuck you. First of all, you you didn't watch the
(02:39:23):
fam cats. Fucking D Where are you at? Where are
you at? Where are you at? D? D needs to
come in, come in and tell tell everybody that that
I jumped in on a podcast D was doing, and
I theorized all these fucking things, and they were all this,
They were all correct, and they were all on New
rock Stars.
Speaker 1 (02:39:41):
The police tells France full of Ship. Ryan went from
BAM to full veto.
Speaker 5 (02:40:01):
Man went from BAM to Phil. So that's very true.
Speaker 2 (02:40:05):
Yeah, I mean catch Oh, I didn't know I had
two fucking things up. Don't think what I can either
(02:40:30):
take a little points. I gotta be perfect. Oh man,
r ry.
Speaker 4 (02:40:39):
My mom's all watching.
Speaker 2 (02:40:41):
That's cool.
Speaker 1 (02:40:42):
Watch New rock Stars for star Wars and Mandalorian.
Speaker 2 (02:40:45):
Yeah, I mean fucking months.
Speaker 1 (02:40:51):
You can go ahead and you can follow me on
stereo and Garrett and we'll talk about things. I guarantee you.
Speaker 2 (02:41:03):
I hate all of you.
Speaker 1 (02:41:11):
God, it was the last episode of whatever we Feel
in radio. And Ryan is telling the truth. Oh I
didn't say. You didn't tell the truth.
Speaker 5 (02:41:22):
I'm saying, and it's lost this thunder since you guys
actually watched New rock Stars. But but everything I theorized
was was pretty much.
Speaker 2 (02:41:29):
On New Rockstars. I don't remember anything you said.
Speaker 1 (02:41:35):
About one percent of what you say, so yeah, yeah,
I didn't realize that was the part.
Speaker 2 (02:41:52):
But I love it.
Speaker 4 (02:41:55):
Don't want that part specifically.
Speaker 2 (02:42:00):
You gotta make it a fucking drop, dude, Oh my god, amazing.
Speaker 5 (02:42:30):
There is something with the hexagons though, right are we
absolutely okay?
Speaker 1 (02:42:34):
So and then okay, so since we are full full
on going into New rock Stars territory.
Speaker 2 (02:42:40):
I love the fact that he was saying that that
when you went to Jimmy was whiteboard.
Speaker 1 (02:42:43):
He's like literally everything on there is a New rock
Stars video title that I know his vision actually alive,
Like what's going on?
Speaker 2 (02:42:55):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (02:42:57):
Yes, I'm with you because a lot of the ship
that at least I don't know without any help from you,
I theorize myself was definitely validated by New rock Stars.
At least I believe they're getting onto. However, nothing is
ever fully confirmed until the show confirms it. So right now,
(02:43:18):
the biggest question that we still haven't had answered is
who is the what is it the criminal informant? Wasn't
the person who was under witness and protection?
Speaker 4 (02:43:30):
Who was that?
Speaker 1 (02:43:32):
And is Wanda working alone?
Speaker 5 (02:43:35):
I know?
Speaker 2 (02:43:35):
Is it ready? Are you ready for this? Muffisto? It is?
Speaker 4 (02:43:43):
We don't know anything, Ryan.
Speaker 2 (02:43:46):
You don't know for sure.
Speaker 1 (02:43:47):
Brow There was also the Grim Reapers helmet in the
one episode, so maybe it could be him, maybe he
could be something different. However, I don't think it's just
her I I personally, if it is, I think that's
that's also bad.
Speaker 5 (02:44:04):
So I theorized that that sword is is operational through
operating through the fucking scrolls, because that's that's where they
that's that's where fury is.
Speaker 2 (02:44:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:44:18):
Well that well, yeah, that we we assumed that way before,
like as soon as we saw as soon as we
saw that post credit, we assumed that for sure. And
then and then, uh now sort is officially in the
m c U, however, we don't know. Uh So, just
so we're clear, Spider Man Far from Home actually takes
(02:44:39):
place after WandaVision.
Speaker 5 (02:44:42):
In the yes, in the.
Speaker 1 (02:44:45):
MCU timeline, WandaVision takes place a few weeks after endgame,
and then Far from Home takes place the summer after endgame.
Uh and so so whatever happened in WandaVision already happened
when Far from when Far from Home?
Speaker 2 (02:45:00):
Happy?
Speaker 7 (02:45:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:45:01):
And also yeah, talking about that too, like I love
the fact that we got more of a of like
a different perspective of the snap back to reality.
Speaker 2 (02:45:10):
God, oh my god, that gravity the ghost Rabbit like
that was amazing.
Speaker 5 (02:45:21):
Yeah, No, that fucking dude, that was so because it's
you would imagine that that the the chaos that went ensue,
like the first time everyone got snapped and then and
then yeah when when wheneveryone's five years later, I just
come back for showing up like you and and and people,
you know, civilians not knowing what's going on like that,
(02:45:43):
that would be fucking nuts, right, Like.
Speaker 2 (02:45:46):
Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (02:45:47):
I mean, like so we saw we saw a glimpse
of what the interpretation was in a more comedic form
in Spider Man Far from Home. But but yeah, exactly,
this actual thing and I'm actually gonna put it up
on the on the screen just so we can all
see it. Right, Yeah, it's like howt gy and an
endgame in the beginning.
Speaker 5 (02:46:09):
Yeah exactly, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:46:12):
This is sorry, so we gonna do this.
Speaker 1 (02:46:16):
And that's Ree Larson's Captain Marvel's actual Yeah, she's back
in here.
Speaker 4 (02:46:23):
She's what the fuck.
Speaker 2 (02:46:24):
It's like she woke go from a nap. She's there.
Speaker 1 (02:46:26):
Obviously a lot slower than what we saw in Spider
Man Far from Home, but definitely ship going down.
Speaker 2 (02:46:34):
It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (02:46:35):
And then then it's it's it's kind of like the
Walking Dead.
Speaker 2 (02:46:39):
It's like sh just yeah, oh oh shake you can we.
Speaker 5 (02:46:43):
Don't have a passing chicken. Excuse me, excuse me, I'm
looking for a patient.
Speaker 2 (02:46:51):
Do you have a phone? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:46:56):
Phrase she knocks his motherfucker out, All right, yeah, fuck him,
he's in the way.
Speaker 2 (02:47:04):
Yep. Yeah, yeah. That was such a good fucking this snap.
Speaker 4 (02:47:12):
My, Yes, but technically it's the blip when they come
back back.
Speaker 2 (02:47:17):
Just your this snap was the originals. Then when they
brought him back, it was the blip, the blip, get
your reality.
Speaker 1 (02:47:30):
Oh that goes gravity, op, that goes rabbity.
Speaker 5 (02:47:35):
For that yeady spaghetti spaghetti exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:47:40):
Uh this, I love this though. I love the show.
I love everything that's been going on.
Speaker 1 (02:47:46):
Uh, can we talk about how I love cat Danny's
I love how how wu he got his.
Speaker 5 (02:47:53):
Fucking fucking we already that I already went through that
you were peeking for fucking fifteen minutes.
Speaker 1 (02:47:59):
I drink a lot of liquid. Yeah, I'm just a
big fan of this. I'm very happy currently no real criticisms,
to be honest, Yes, I would.
Speaker 2 (02:48:10):
Love to have them all, you know.
Speaker 5 (02:48:11):
I just love the continuity of every single fun you
know what I mean. It's like that this that that
are just fantastic.
Speaker 1 (02:48:19):
I love it so much, absolutely it's things that you
don't expect, you don't need them to be a thing,
but they are a thing, and I love it. It's
it's basically and this is what I found out that
people love people that are people love things, and people
that are passionate about stuff and care about things.
Speaker 2 (02:48:36):
So when you see that in something.
Speaker 1 (02:48:38):
As big of a franchise as is this is Marvel
under the umbrella of Disney. Yes, they are giant, fucking
evil corporation quote unquote, Uh, but I don't care. I
fucking love everything they put out so far.
Speaker 2 (02:48:51):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (02:48:52):
Well ever since uh yeah, well ever since Walt Disney died,
they're not as evil. I don't know, we know, no, No,
I mean he's a fucking he was, he was the devil.
Speaker 4 (02:49:09):
Maybe he's Mephisto.
Speaker 2 (02:49:13):
Yeah you heard it here, fucking new rock stars. Uh,
Walt Disney, It's Walt Disney. Walt Disney is the Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:49:24):
Uh yes, what the I was gonna say something I
hate when this happens.
Speaker 2 (02:49:29):
I've had a lot of liquid thing I know.
Speaker 1 (02:49:33):
Uh, fucking photos of the new thor Love and Thunder
actually showed up and mother, have you guys seen them?
Speaker 2 (02:49:43):
Ah?
Speaker 1 (02:49:45):
No, I gotta pull him up. And they're not like
juicy or anything, but Chris Hamsworth has been he's been
working out. Yeah, obviously, I mean it wasn't it wasn't
really fat friend game, Yeah exactly.
Speaker 5 (02:50:05):
I mean he lost it all.
Speaker 2 (02:50:08):
I'm sure do it.
Speaker 5 (02:50:09):
I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (02:50:11):
I'm just look at look at this, this this is
a set. Oh my god, that's the star lord of
all people.
Speaker 1 (02:50:20):
Yeah right, And I'm just like, he looks like an
eighties like uh pop band. Fucking I don't know, is
there's a lot going on in this picture, A.
Speaker 2 (02:50:34):
Lot of rost, a lot of roads going on.
Speaker 1 (02:50:36):
I can't attest to anything you're saying, but I can't
deny that that's a possibility.
Speaker 2 (02:50:44):
But you know, I like that jacket. I want that jacket.
Speaker 1 (02:50:47):
He's very much going eighties hair metal keyboardist is what
I'm looking at.
Speaker 5 (02:50:52):
It looks like, yeah, yeah, he looks like the keyboardist
or like bass player from Poison.
Speaker 1 (02:50:58):
At first I thought this was a key you see
my cursor. I don't know if you do, but like
I thought, but this is just part of the set.
But I'm like, is he is he actually a keyboardist.
Speaker 5 (02:51:08):
Some Swedish metal band yeah, but no, it's a keyboard
from the fucking uh from fucking uh what's his name?
Speaker 2 (02:51:17):
Damn it? I fucked this joke, good one. Who's the alright, drunk,
who's the keyboardist? Fucking what's his name?
Speaker 1 (02:51:30):
The character from the Right and Rock, He's a keyboardist. Yeah,
he's playing a keyboard god, damn it.
Speaker 4 (02:51:37):
Oh Grandmaster, Grandmaster.
Speaker 2 (02:51:39):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (02:51:41):
Maybe Master Flash.
Speaker 1 (02:51:44):
Yeah he did he did take No, well, yes he
did take the Grandmaster's ship, but that's destroyed.
Speaker 4 (02:51:52):
I don't know whatever, I'm not I'm not gonna speculate
on that.
Speaker 1 (02:51:54):
But yes, he looks like he looks like an eighties
hair metal keyboardist, and and he has gigantic arms that
look like they're bigger than my head. And it looks
like Chris Pratt's having a man crushed on him right now.
Speaker 2 (02:52:08):
Yeah, yeah, Chris Pat's got a beard going on.
Speaker 1 (02:52:11):
So yeah, before you just have like the chops I
think then besides that, not like it actually adds to
this to the story. You do see what's his face,
James Gun's brother, Yeah, crackling, crackling with the with the.
Speaker 2 (02:52:27):
Nebulas behind him in the background.
Speaker 1 (02:52:29):
You have, but he has the fin so he has
the the the arrow, he has yondus arrow. I'm gonna
say that there's there's some sort of joke where he
still doesn't know how to fly it. I doubt he's
a master at it.
Speaker 2 (02:52:44):
I'm gonna sure.
Speaker 1 (02:52:45):
I'm gonna say that he accidentally hits a few people.
And then of course Karen Gillen's it's.
Speaker 5 (02:52:51):
Nothing funnier than than an accidental death, and uh really
it's like it's it sounds like, it sounds grotesque, but
let's be real, like when you watch did you guys
watch you watch cong School Island?
Speaker 10 (02:53:06):
Right?
Speaker 2 (02:53:06):
Yeah, of course? How about when when when.
Speaker 5 (02:53:10):
That character who's the guy from Boardwalk Empire and I
don't know that, I don't know his name, but he
was fantastic.
Speaker 2 (02:53:16):
He trust this man. I was like, I heard Chris
Brant was.
Speaker 4 (02:53:22):
I don't think that that.
Speaker 2 (02:53:24):
I mean, I didn't hear that, but I did hear that.
Speaker 1 (02:53:26):
The character plays the star Lord in the m C
the Marvel and Comic Universe is by.
Speaker 5 (02:53:34):
Okay, well, obviously he's fucking he's he's fucking aliens.
Speaker 2 (02:53:39):
And that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (02:53:41):
Who knows, Yeah, if it has a whole fucking yeah,
literally literally but I didn't hearnything about Chris Patt whatever.
Maybe maybe maybe he is, and maybe maybe uh they're
bringing that to the thorn love and that I doubt
that because I believe I've heard a lot that Chris
(02:54:03):
Pratt's like very much, very religious, very religious and stuff
like that. So I doubt in the mc U. But
in the comics, yes, they made star Ward By.
Speaker 2 (02:54:14):
So there's a big makes a lot of sense.
Speaker 1 (02:54:16):
Makes yeah, man who was laid with an oscarbarian.
Speaker 2 (02:54:27):
Teeth? And uh, Ryan was saying something. I think there's
just a it's just a stupid little story.
Speaker 5 (02:54:35):
But there's this big there's this big Hollywood Christian church
called Oasis mm hmm, where a lot of celebrities go
to and a lot of actors go to. And I
only I found out it was a church because I
was on the set for for a movie and I'm
(02:54:56):
in I'm in this room full of all the people
that I'm supposed to be, you know, in the scene
with right, there's some Japanese.
Speaker 2 (02:55:03):
I have no fucking clue what it was about. You know,
I was gonna pay like three hundred bucks a day
for it, so I was like whatever.
Speaker 5 (02:55:09):
So so I'm in this room and I'm supposed to
play the Sioux chef in the in the diner, and
we're at the Flamingo Motel. I don't know if you
know where that's at, but it's but it's been plenty
of movies and uh. But they instead of having us trailers,
they put us in rooms, the motel rooms, and these
is a fucking ship hole. And and we're sitting in
(02:55:32):
there and you know, I don't know any of these people,
but you know, one of them is like an actress.
One one's another comic that that I ended up talking to,
and then like there's like this you know, plus sized model,
and then uh, some of the chick or whatever and
uh and we're sitting in there and and one of
(02:55:52):
the girls goes, hey, I saw you at Oasis earlier
to the guy who was playing my head chef right
and and he goes, oh, yeah, I was at Oasis,
and she was like And then like like two other
people in the room start talking about this place called Oasis,
and I go, is Oasis like a strip club or something?
(02:56:20):
And then because I thought the guy might have been
a stripper because he was like super fit, like kind
of six pack and ship you know and so, and
there was a genuine question, but they got all offended
and they said, no, it's a church. They said it's
a church in Hollywood for like a ton of actors,
(02:56:41):
and they were.
Speaker 2 (02:56:41):
Like, Chris Pratt goes there. I was like, oh shit, okay, sorry, cool.
Speaker 1 (02:56:53):
You know whatever, no comment, Yeah, anyone else have anything
to say?
Speaker 5 (02:57:01):
I want division chef Ryan look him up. I'm just skiddy.
I don't know, I've seen it.
Speaker 2 (02:57:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:57:08):
Is that that on YouTube?
Speaker 2 (02:57:09):
Still? Uh? What that that skit? No, it wasn't a skit.
It was a movie.
Speaker 5 (02:57:15):
I don't know where it came from.
Speaker 2 (02:57:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (02:57:16):
It was like a Japanese movie though, So I have
no idea where it is.
Speaker 1 (02:57:19):
Maybe what did I see? Did you send me something?
I don't I know I saw specifically you and and
that specific scene at least, or I don't know whatever
the fun was.
Speaker 5 (02:57:28):
I don't know. Maybe I sent you something else. But
I was like I was, I was legit, like I
like working in a diner for some handoff, for like
some action movie that.
Speaker 2 (02:57:38):
Was giving someone a handoff.
Speaker 1 (02:57:40):
Yeah, I had like, oh you, oh gold, you know
where it was?
Speaker 5 (02:57:57):
You know, you guys remember that movie Grind, So you
know how they go to that hotel.
Speaker 4 (02:58:02):
And Robbie reminds me of the fucking guy from Grind
by the way.
Speaker 5 (02:58:08):
Yeah a little bit. But you know how they clean
out the pool and ship and they skated and they
stay in that motel. That's where I filmed that thing.
Speaker 2 (02:58:18):
That's cool. Oh nice, I was for a little more enthusiasm.
Speaker 1 (02:58:27):
Thank you very much everyone for tuning into oncast this week. Uh,
I know, I don't remember that specific the scene from
a hotel.
Speaker 2 (02:58:38):
He does, but then the during the during the during
the honeymoon Grind Grind this decade, but they traveled. Okay,
sorry dog.
Speaker 5 (02:59:07):
Your head?
Speaker 2 (02:59:16):
Yeah to God for sure, Garrett. Maybe maybe another time.
Speaker 1 (02:59:23):
I don't no, Look all right, thank you very much
for watching and listening and everything that you are doing.
Speaker 2 (02:59:30):
We appreciate you very much, so much, so so much.

promotion goes. If you comment, just comment period comment to
thumbs up, comment, you know, like comment fucking you know,
I saw Ryan in that.
Speaker 2 (02:59:48):
Movie and I loved it.
Speaker 1 (02:59:49):

that there was a a shoo chef. It's amazing comment.
Whatever you want to comment, we appreciate you. Thumbs up
all the thing things that.
Speaker 2 (03:00:01):
