Speaker 3 (05:51):

I'm gonna go back to the original quock.
Speaker 9 (05:59):
Actually a couple and a couple of buds get buzz
and because California don't doesn't know what season it is,
We're gonna go ahead and drink something with a little fizz.
My name's Garrett Lee. I'm and I'm really fucking.
Speaker 3 (06:17):

hot heat.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Of La.
Speaker 9 (06:56):
San Francokio.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Nice.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (07:00):
We start off with an alcoholic beverage of some sort
today is actually no different. We're gonna start off with
mister San Francocio himself.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
What are you drinking?
Speaker 10 (07:09):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, so this is actually something you brought up not
too long ago. Oh, Champo the Champango.
Speaker 11 (07:22):
Yeah, this is absolutely delicious, super easy drinking from Golden
Road again. Yeah, I don't know exactly what it is,
but it's uh. Also, it's made with Mango car beer
they don't go in Mao car beer and inspired by
mimosas whatever that means.
Speaker 9 (07:38):
Yeah, this is what it means. But it's higher alcohol
content than their regular mango card so it's clearly different.
It's not just mango right right.
Speaker 11 (07:46):
Yeah, so six point five that was actually my starter drink,
so that's done with.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
But my real drink I got is Day one versus beer.
Speaker 11 (07:56):
Never, this is this is Day one, so on collabo
with Brewery West and it's an I p L which.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Is in Intel. Dude, I've been talking about I p
ls for years. Dog, Yeah, this is I can't find one.
Speaker 11 (08:14):
D It's amazing. You guys just want to try definitely
try this one out, especially because Day Day one, Day
one versus Beer.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
You don't know who Day one song is. I don't.
Speaker 9 (08:27):
Yeah, I thought, actually, Intel, you said something else and
I was like, wait, that's not the right word.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Day one song is a professional skateboarder from so legendary skateboarder.
He's like he's like the so him and Rodney mull
and we used to have these, uh, these these battles
that they do. They put out videos, you know, Rodney
Mullen is right, so they.
Speaker 9 (08:51):
Want around like in our age when we were skating.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, So there was these Rodney versus day
So Day one versus Rodney where the there was there
was like a bunch of these, like there was round two,
Round three, they and they and then Day one versus
Chris Haslam, which is another one, another freestyle skater, you know,
really fucking innovative guys. Yeah, Day one and Rodney Mullen
used to go at it like you know, with these
(09:15):
video parts and ship you know, but uh yeah, legendary. Yeah,
and they also made a legendary beer, right, definitely try
it out? Yeah yeah, would you get what you get it?
Speaker 11 (09:30):
The last two times I got this straight from the
brewery and just had ship to my house. But I
happened to be at Trader Joe's the other day and
I found them there.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
I need to. I don't even think of Trader Joe's
exists out here. Yeah, they might do, actually a guy,
yeah yeah, yeah, I might not actually go to like
Redlands if I want to find like a Trader Joe's
probably okay, okay.
Speaker 9 (09:59):
Unfortunately I don't have one very close to my house.
The closest one, I think is in Pasadena or or
Rosemaid or what.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
I don't know. It's on Rose Made.
Speaker 9 (10:07):
I think there's not there's not anything close by like that.
I have a I have two Ralph's uh Asian Markets,
and that's kind of it, you know, nine Insense Wars
and stuff like that too, I guess. But as far
as Trader Joe's go, they ain't around.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
How Trader's Joe No, no, no, uh, Ryan, Dy, what
are you drinking? Oh, my roommate made this uh like
lemon like instant lemonade that I just mixed with some vodka.
It's actually pretty damn good. I say it made his own,
Like why or whatever, that's what I'm drinking. Nice. Well,
(10:47):
it looks cool with the play with the green screen
with a color scheme.
Speaker 9 (10:56):
I don't poo poo on that at all, because I
think when we went we were like freshly twenty one.
I remember, like my drink of choice, like going to
Vegas just straight up Tito's vodka and Hawaiian punch power
wine punch.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Yeah. No, the powder powder into the vodka. Zero.
Speaker 9 (11:13):
Oh my god, I just I was basically like put
the vodka into my veins. I only use the Hawaiian
punch powder, vodka and ice.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
That was my drink. And it mixed water. And then
I wonder why I'm so fucking strong. Yeah, Jesus Christ,
I used to wine bunch of powder and I would
add water.
Speaker 9 (11:37):
I'm just gonna put the powder in the vodka. It
makes so much more sense that way.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Uh, I'm not doing that again. As it is. I
don't know if it's it's age or what, but I've
been hungover for the past two days from what just drinking. Yeah,
it's a slippery slope, bro, Like I've been fucking I've
(12:02):
been hungover for this entire year.
Speaker 9 (12:04):
Probably yesterday I felt horrible, but I got some fun
that made me feel better than today. I didn't feel great,
but I didn't feel bad. And then basically like midday,
like my stomach started going getting kind of bubbly.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
I'm like, I don't feel good anymore. So I made
myself some gumbo. So I a gumbo in front of me.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
I'm gonna I'm gonna not on that when I can,
and like any responsible adult, I am currently drinking a
giant Gin and Tonic.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Nice lights. I got bud lights on deck too, but
does help.
Speaker 9 (12:45):
That's what's there for, That's what. Yeah, exactly, I'm gonna
step on it. I'm not I'm not gonna go crazy
that this is the only this, this is the only
drink nice but apparently, I mean this is just because
it's you, guys. I'm gonna tell you what's going on
my life. Apparently Costco's like recalled one of their gins
(13:05):
and I got a refund for one of the bottles.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
I have, so cool, cool for me, on that one.
But yeah, you wait, wait, so you had to go
take it back. I got the email today and so
what it was basically was like, there's nothing wrong with
it as far as like food safety wise, but for
and they didn't go into specifics. They just said that
the flavor profile is different than what it usually is,
(13:28):
and if you're not satisfied, you can bring it back
for a refine. And I'm like, and they listed the
codes of the batches that were affected, and I have one.
Speaker 9 (13:36):
I haven't even opened it yet. I'm going to try
it later to do a side by side comparison.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Let you keep it, huh. They let you keep it
though they didn't want to take it back.
Speaker 9 (13:46):
They emailed you and they said, if you are unsatisfied,
bring it back and you'll get a refund. But I
haven't even opened it yet. So I am going to
open it, try it to see if there actually is
a noticeable difference, and then return it after I port.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
You a different that's what you're going to do this.
I was like, there's no way you're just taking it
back and getting I doubt. I doubt.
Speaker 9 (14:09):
It's like horrible, but I'm like, I want to first,
I want to try to see what the actual difference is.
I still have this bottle of the music right now.
It still has just a little bit. So that's why
I got a secondary backup one because I don't go
to Costco a lot.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
So I'm like, all right, what onw I low on?
Speaker 9 (14:25):
I'll just keep that like on my rack, hold it
until I'm over because I don't want to make a
separate chip trip for one bottle of gin.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
So I'm just trying and then poorting a different bottle
and return it. So smart. I got some good news, Yeah, yeah,
I just like when Ryan did, have you got something
for that? So Rare, I don't know have a button
for Ryan has good news? Ryan? How good news I
(15:07):
have gotten? I guess hired to h to produce this
guy's podcast or multimedia company basically, and so over the weekend,
I'm helping him move into the studio space and set
up all his U and set up his equipment. And
(15:29):
this is uh, it's a the beginning of a partnership
slash employment ship. I guess this. Yeah, so I'm looking
forward to this guy's gonna base. I mean, the dude
just he just dropped all this money for studio space
and like and really fucking professional equipment ship that I've
like I've only heard about, like ship that I've never
(15:50):
even seen in person. And I'm just like, oh my god,
like I can't believe, you know what I mean. But anyway,
so he so I have to said, I have to
help him set it all up this weekend. But yeah, man,
so I'm like looking forward to that, you know, So
that's awesome to work out. Yeah, this stuff that you're
(16:10):
gonna be able to use too. When he's not using it,
we'll see, you know, I haven't. I didn't really get
there to talk about I mean, I don't really need
to except for maybe the cameras. But you know, it's like,
you know, I I like, I like it. I like
what we got going on here because it's like it's
just kind of it's my ship. I don't, you know,
I don't want to like I don't want to feel
(16:30):
that uh kind of pressure of like I don't want
to fuck anything up, you know what I mean, Like
I less there with him, like i'd rather you know
what I mean, Like I don't really want to do
that shit anyway, unless like you know, maybe we'll talk,
you know, I'm sure. I'm sure he would let me
use this stuff. But anyway, I mean, the dude got
I mean, he got like a brand new MacBook for
just for me to have to do all my work on.
(16:50):
He got like, uh, he's got he got all these
four k stny cameras, plus a switcher with its own
fucking monitor and all that stuff. So like, it's fucking wild, man,
I have.
Speaker 9 (17:01):
To because you told him to or he already was
like no, he.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Already had all the ship. He was looking for a producer. Well,
he was looking for a space to do a podcast.
So so I responded to his that on Craigslist, saying like, hey,
I'm looking to like produce people's podcasts, so if you're
looking for a spot, like, I have this equipment. And
then he hits me back up. He goes, he goes, uh,
you know, congrats on your setup. Blah blahlah blah blah.
(17:25):
He's like, but I just dropped all this money on
my own gear and I just found a place. And
I went, oh shit, okay, well yeah, no worries. And
then he goes, but I'm looking for a producer. He's like,
I'm looking for somebody to and he goes, you know, obviously,
you know, I'll pay you for your time and blah
blah blah. And he's like, he's just like, I don't
know anything about video production, multimedia anything like that. He's like,
(17:46):
so I need somebody to just like do all this
stuff for me. And I was like, yeah, totally if
you're gonna be paying me for it, like absolutely.
Speaker 9 (17:53):
I wonder why he got how he got all this stuff,
Like you just look up a top.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Just that Joe Rogan has. That's basically what he did.
Speaker 5 (18:03):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Okay yeah yeah.
Speaker 9 (18:06):
Also, we're going to be doing in a mobile fucking studio.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
It's an event. It's an event. It's gonna interesting.
Speaker 9 (18:16):
So is he like, this is the space close by
to you?
Speaker 3 (18:19):
It's in Ontario. I don't know the distance between you
and Ontario. That's about the same our actually last it's
like halfway. That's like it's like a thirty minute drive
for me. Okay, that's that's not at all. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 9 (18:36):
Over there, she makes that drive all the time because
she works over here.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Yeah. But and but the dude has to come up
this way anyway because he's in Marietta. So I might
just end up getting a ride from him because he's
picking me up this weekend to go over there.
Speaker 9 (18:47):
Oh cool, all right, yeah, very I'm very happy for you.
I don't get to say that a lot, and I
believe me, I want to.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
I'm looking for I'm really I'm really excited to. I mean,
the dude was like, I don't you know, I've yet
to see exactly what the content is going to be.
But basically he's just one of those like kind of
government secrets you know, conspiracy theory type dudes. I was
just like, it's gonna be the worst content ever.
Speaker 9 (19:13):
You just be like, oh God, what did I sign
up for?
Speaker 3 (19:15):
No, no, no, If and if it wasn't something that
I really like, I thought I could get on board with,
like I would I would have done now, you know. Yeah,
And plus I'm actually probably wouldn't have depending.
Speaker 9 (19:26):
On, you know, if I was really agreeing with you
just for your benefit. But I know I knew that
was the.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Answer, but it all depends. Yeah, that's probably what I
would have say. You know, I would have just I
would have I would have gone by an alias or something.
But no, I'm actually crash. He didn't you know, he
didn't seem like a psycho. He just was like, he's like,
(19:53):
this is what I've been doing. This is and he
he has like a coat, like a company and the
website and like blog posts and all this stuff that
he so he already did. He already did an audio
version of it. He called it like a season he
just hasn't done. He hasn't done any more episodes. He
called it like his first season. Right, He's like so
and he sudden he got like he said, he got
so much positive feedback and he's got and he has
(20:14):
celebrity guests that are waiting for him to go to
the video that he can have on so you know,
we'll see. Uh. But I mean, the guy seems like
the real deal man the fucking I mean, it was
like I went over to his pad and then and
just checked out all the year and I was like,
holy shit.
Speaker 9 (20:34):
I'm gonna rob you blind.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
No, you would never do that. Oh, I'm gonna take
this to the studio. Yeah, don't say that, because that
that he's gonna come and watch this podcast and be.
Speaker 9 (20:51):
Like, okay, Ryan would never ever do that. But real quick, Ryan,
just in the private chat, she made the.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
No. But but that's yeah, it was cool man, because
we were just chatting. I was just telling him like, hey,
like because he's just like, I got no I have
no idea. He's like, so whatever you think, and he's like,
and however much time it takes, whatever, I'll compensate you.
I'm like, all right, fuck okay, cool man. So man,
you know, and you know, fuck it again. Like I
(21:25):
it's and I just it just kind of was a
perfect opportunity because I was just like, well, I was
just I just told him. I was like, I was
just looking for something to do, you know, because even
if I went and started working part timing, and I'm like,
I was gonna need like a side hustle or something
like to get make ends meet. I'm like, because I'm
not going to be able to do it just on
like a regular paycheck, you know. So so I was like,
(21:45):
you know, I know these I have these skills, and
I you know, I know certain things. I'm like, I've
never worked with this equipment before, so there's gonna be
a learning curve. I'm like, but you know, there's no
doubt I can't figure it out.
Speaker 9 (21:54):
Yeah, So obviously, I mean you you know that you
can just fucking google shit like how does one.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
How do you do this on a blank blank blank? Yeah,
exact exactly that's I told him to. I was like,
so I'll probably be googling a lot. And he's like,
he goes, oh, you're gonna have a field day with this.
He's like I already get it, you know, it doesn't matter,
and I'm like all right, like and uh yeah, yeah yeah.
And then he was talking about how he wanted to
shoot things and do you know he wanted he just
(22:21):
he's gonna have like a full blown studio for like
video production, podcasting all this time, like acting at all
or like no, no, it's just brand that he's trying
to do take off. He's trying to get to take off,
which is basically about where I was just I just
told him. I was like, I was just looking for
(22:43):
the link.
Speaker 9 (22:44):
And I was like that you fits seamlessly with what
you're saying. I didn't know it was playing for I.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Was like, your mouth isn't moving telepathy? How did I
say that way? But anyway, what was I saying? What
the fuck? Did you ask me? No? No, no, no,
he doesn't I guess wants you know. Yeah, For some reason,
I clicked on a different like I just went what
you were doing?
Speaker 9 (23:11):
Does it now where if you leave the page, it'll
start playing again but in the bottom right hand corner
as like a mini player. I was like, I didn't
tell you to start playing again, dude. It infuriates me,
Like whoever's running the branch of like video for Facebook
is sucking up because it does so much stuff that
I don't like that it does.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Yeah, but yeah, sorry, Going anyway, He's trying to get
this brand taken off to kind of to take off,
which is basically like this this uh you know, this
message board group that and clothing line about basically about
But he's like, a he's like a shroom guy, you know.
He's like a Joe Rogan type dude, you know about
like you know, and so he wants to talk about
(23:51):
aliens and conspiracies and ship like that, you know, And
I'm just like I'm a stroom guy. Yeah, And he
was like yeah, He's like, and I want to do
this thing where like we have. He's like, I'd love
to just like microdose and and like kind of sit
around and have like brainstorming ideas and blah blah blah
and do all these different uh supplements and ship where
(24:14):
we can kind of like you know, open our third
eye and you know, start chatting and ship. I'm like,
fucking yes, sounds awesome.
Speaker 9 (24:23):
Legal reasons, I'm gonna I'm gonna actually uh word this differently.
I did not find out that my ex coworker apparently
does not grow them and does not charge a really
good price.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
There you go.
Speaker 9 (24:37):
So that's interesting, all right for anyone that is not
good to not know.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
That's some some unuseful information.
Speaker 9 (24:50):
Well for you.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
There what I thought right now? Here? Man? What was
going on? I would God damn yes, okay, what are
you here with us right now?
Speaker 9 (25:07):
I'm clearly talking to a lion turtle.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
That's what my background is, all right proofed, that's it.
Just so, I meeting with him this weekend, and and
apparently there's gonna be a Baxter party going on in
my house on Saturday, which I'm excited for.
Speaker 9 (25:25):
I would to say, at this point, Randy has just
gotten everything that he can as far as immunities go.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
For for COVID. He's just like I hope, so sick.
God damn really good. Good for you though, I mean,
just live your life, bro, I'm not I'm not gonna
tell you otherwise because I did stand up at like
a speakeasy on That's actually one of something I did
want to talk to you about because I saw that
you post a thing. How did that go? So you
first your first live show back you guys, you guys
(25:53):
would have hated it gone, but it was great. I
uh it was. It's basically just this. It was great. Yeah, No,
you would have hated it because you would have been
terrified of COVID the whole time. But uh uh the
there was just a this bar operating like a speakeasy
(26:15):
pretty much. And uh, this guy hit me up. I mean,
you know, for what it for what it's worth I
guess or whatever. Just my by by all the groundwork
that I did prior to all this ship like, people
are still talking about me. So my name got floated
around a lot. And then they finally hit me up
to do a set, so and I was like kind
(26:37):
of iffy about it, but I just said, fuck it, yeah,
let I'll do it. And then so I did. I
did a ten minute set and I was like really
fucking scared, Like I was nervous. Man. I went on
stage and like a year so but man, once I
fucking once I once I got up there, I started
strong and then it was like, all right, I'm back,
(26:59):
Like this feels good, you know. So yeah, I mean
I did a solid set, walked off, and it was
like God, it just fucking felt so good to be
around comics again and be around comedy and be around
a comedy show. Like fuck it. It was like God,
I mean, I still feel great. I'm still right in
the wave about it. You know. I fucking felt amazing nice.
Speaker 9 (27:18):
It's it's it's funny that you say that, because I mean,
we have many mutual comic friends. One of one of
the stories today that I mean, I'm not bringing this
as a story, but one of the news stories in
the world is that Texas is about to open up
one percent.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (27:34):
But not to anyone, like everyone's like that's a bad idea,
but they're doing.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
It, uh, And that's why all these comics moved to Texas.
Speaker 9 (27:41):
I was about to say that, I was like, one
of my friends posted about that, and like they they
used the gift. I mean, I'm sure you don't remember
the exact same. Pee Wee Herman and Pee Wee's Big
Adventure has the he's hitchhiking, he has the Texas sign,
and the guy was just like all California open micers absolutely.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
I was like, and you know what my response to
that is, get the fuck out. Go ahead, get the
funk out of my town. Go get out.
Speaker 11 (28:07):
Oh my god, right, I'm the same way. I'm like,
leave dog.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
If you want to go fucking go, get out. Leave me,
some fucking open mics, leave anybody.
Speaker 9 (28:18):
I haven't any any any person I know and I am,
and including friends that I know that live in Texas,
was like, I haven't seen anyone say this is great.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
No one says. No one said that they tried to
do this, and they they all get hit with a
fucking storm and a blackout.
Speaker 11 (28:31):
Yeah yeah, so that didn't kill you, all right, Well
let's say Coope can do it.
Speaker 9 (28:38):
Yeah, how about all.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
The bad things? Does everything go to going to Texas? Yeah,
our guys guys in Houston Cult forty five podcast, shout
out Cult forty five, I wish for them, shout out. Uh,
they I just got I was talking to Brandon earlier
today on the phone and he got hit pretty hard.
But I guess I guess they're doing all right. And uh, mom.
(29:02):
He told me that Comic Pals is happening. They're going
full force, Like, are you kidding me? No, No, he
surprised me.
Speaker 9 (29:10):
I guess Texas and California somehow in this specific thing
are a polar opposite because one of the stories that
I brought up was that San Diego Comic Con is
not going full far, I know, virtual like last year.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Is so uh So he was saying that because he's
been an exhibitor that like they were hitting him up,
and he was just like, uh no, yeah, yeah, so
that's crazy.
Speaker 9 (29:43):
I'm very disappointed myself in what I have as sound
drops as far as lacking them right now. I mean,
it's been a while since I did this. Yeah, I'm
gonna start making new sound drops. But yeah, dude, fuck that.
And I'm very glad that that we have smart friends
(30:04):
around the globe here.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
I mean, I granted, like, you know, obviously we're none
of the same page, completely on on you know, what
I'm doing and whatnot, but like.
Speaker 9 (30:14):
You know, everyone's different.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
Having like a small bar show compared to hundreds of
thousands of people in a fucking exhibit hall is completely different,
you know, Like I agreed, And also I like over.
Speaker 9 (30:26):
Of course, since we've been in this for basically a
year now, I've kind of analyzed why I believe certain
things happen the way it is, and a lot of things,
especially in LA, why it got so bad was so
many people come here from other places, and so they
don't have family here, so they kind of said, fuck it,
who am I gonna hurt? And because it's not their family,
(30:46):
and so that's probably why a lot of people in LA,
specifically decent of California, are like, I don't give a fuck,
Like my grandma, my grandma's somewhere in Nebraska. You know,
I'm gonna go out of my life, whereas like us Natives,
we're just like, no, fucking stay away. Like my family
is all here and three of them died already off.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Yeah, yeah exactly. Yeah. But I mean I'm saying, purge
fucking get out. I don't know, go to Texas, go ahead.
I don't know. Well, I wasn't clear on who you
meant by that. Not not your family I'm talking about.
That is incredibly talk about Boer family. Yeah, I'm gonna go, Tony.
(31:30):
That is the worst thing you've ever said.
Speaker 9 (31:34):
Jesus Christ, I was like, yeah, fuck it, bro, yes,
merge the open micers that want to go to Texas.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
What you're saying, yes, go get out, get out of here.
Speaker 9 (31:49):
If you look at the play bag, both Ricky and
I were like.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
What.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
That's going on? Should transition better until back to what
we were doing? I feel ill myself.
Speaker 9 (32:14):
Oh Jesus, oh yeah, so that that's the thing going
on right now.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Let's huh sorry, go ahead. What were you saying?
Speaker 9 (32:28):
Oh no, well you keep going. I was just gonna
move on.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
I was gonna say something about but the way I've
been operating things over here has been a lot of
fun though too. Like, man, I gotta tell you, like
these past couple of months, being so busy doing doing
this ship, doing podcasts and all this other stuff, but
well just podcasts. But I mean I'm doing three, three
(32:52):
to four podcasts a week, Like it's been making me
feel so fucking good about like having something to do
when I get up and now and now I'm no
longer doing live stream. I'm going I'm just going straight
video to edit the edit and then post.
Speaker 9 (33:05):
So yeah, that's that's a lost art for a lot
of people because of since the pandemic everyone just like
jump on stream.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
Here, we'll do a live and there's there there is
something for both of them. I think.
Speaker 9 (33:17):
Yeah, I like this format because you know, when we
have people in the in the chat, we can talk
to them. But especially for structured things like I love
watching YouTube videos that have been edited and you know,
they just get straight to the points. More for things
that like like you know, we we all now watch
new rock Stars. I fucking love the edits of new
(33:37):
rock star stuff videos.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
Yeah, totally. So I want to start doing more. I
want to start doing stuff similar to that as well.
But anyway, I just I've been so busy by doing
this shit and it's just making me like I'm like
fucking like I have a purpose again, you know what
I mean, Like it's just like God, damn, it's it's
because I mean, for a while, man, I just felt
I was just so so just bummed out, and it
(33:59):
felt like like I like a little like I would
literally wake up in the morning and be like why
even get up? Like I got nothing to do today?
Like I have no reason to get it? You know. Yeah, sure,
a lot of people.
Speaker 9 (34:11):
Yeah that's that's been me for so long today for
the first time. I woke up early, I took a shower,
I got ready because I had a uh, it's not
even exciting. I had a fucking appointment at the Orthodonis
because I'm getting braces again because my teeth throw fucked up?
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yeah what you get in vizilin? Huh? Oh you're going
to vis Okay, Yeah, I'm not. I'm I'm not going
for for metal anymore. That was ridiculous. I don't know
I got. I got fucked up.
Speaker 9 (34:40):
Even my dad did it twice too, because because he
fucked up. But that was before in visil line even worked,
so he had metal braces twice. I was like, I
remember he was like forty or something and I was
a kid, like you have braces? Well, remember that, that's crazy.
This is before we moved we moved over there, so like, oh,
I was probably about Evan when that happened. But I
(35:02):
just remember him as, you know, an adult man and
with braceism, like that's weird, that sounds terrible. I can
maybe you imagine me a forty years old.
Speaker 11 (35:15):
I guess you'd like take more care of it because
you're not a kid and like you don't give a fuck.
But still I'm shitty. Yeah right, yeah, yeah, they suck.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
They're terrible.
Speaker 11 (35:26):
You know, you can see I didn't wear my fucking
retainers and now I gotta fucking gap my teeth.
Speaker 9 (35:31):
Yeah, you know, that's that's the whole thing, is that
my retainers were essentially in visi line. The problem that
I had was that I lost them because they're they're
in visible.
Speaker 11 (35:46):
They dropping over the floor, they're like, fuck, forever.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Did you not?
Speaker 9 (35:53):
While I was there in the orthodontist, like just waiting anyone, Yeah,
the orthodontos was talking to another patient and he's like
answering questions and the girl was like, how often do
I have to wear these? And blah blah blah. He's like,
as much as you can, at least twenty hours a day.
He's like, but if you go out, if you go
(36:14):
out for a few hours, I would recommend not because
it's how people fucking lose them. And that's exactly how
I lost them, because you know, back in the day,
I would go to a restaurant or whatever, take him out,
put him like on a napkin or something, and just
fucking forget about him because they're visible. Yeah, but now, especially,
I mean, I should have done this a long time ago.
(36:36):
This would have been amazing if I could have done it,
like as soon as Lockdown started, or you know, once
Orthodox were opening him. Because I'm not going anywhere, it
doesn't matter. But either way, as an adult, I would
like to think that I'm more responsible.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
I keep hearing Doug and I think he's behind me,
but he's out here. I would be the most steady,
hilarious series became. It emerges from the green scream Yeah
you know, I could hear I could hear you, but
your voice is bouncing off the backdrop and it keeps
(37:11):
sounding like you're right behind me. So so yeah, so
that's that's that's what I did today.
Speaker 9 (37:21):
But I was I even told the the person helping me,
I'm like, this is kind of weird because it's like,
I can't remember the last time that I woke up early,
took a shower, and got ready to leave somewhere. I
am incredibly socially awkward right now.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
That was and that was another thing about Yeah. I mean,
I drove my busted ass car all the way down
to Sanday to do a comedy set, which was like
it just it felt like, you know, there's this just
that that piece of normalcy, like fuck man, just like
right going out, getting to get into a spot, doing
a gig, having appearing and like, you know, it just
(37:58):
was like God damn it, man, Like I just I
just missed it so much and then it was just
it just was a huge fucking reminder of like who
I am, you know.
Speaker 9 (38:07):
Yeah, and I think somebody because I think because of
a lot of this stuff it's been happening with the
last month or two vaccines and opening things up again.
The question has been posted to many people that I've
been watching online where it's like, you know, what are
you gonna do?
Speaker 5 (38:25):
First?
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Are you?
Speaker 9 (38:26):
Are you gonna be comfortable with this? And and one
of the people said it really well today it's like
I think a lot of us are going to have
to really come out of our emotional cages that we've
built for ourselves and get used to being in a
room with fucking fifteen people, you know. Yeah, Like yeah, absolutely,
Just I watch and I know this is a thing
that's been a while. I watched movies and shows from
(38:48):
like older times and like not wearing a mask, like
that's because it was a fucking movie from ten years ago.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
It was it's weird, like just my thinks.
Speaker 9 (38:58):
And then somebody with a kid was like, it's so
weird being a parent right now, because, uh, you know,
they were out with their kid wearing their masks obviously,
and then I think they're on a walk and they
see someone walking towards them and the kid was like, oh,
no person, And he's like, it's weird having a kid
that's scared of people.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Now, Yeah, it sucks. It's sad. Yeah, And I don't know,
we do.
Speaker 9 (39:21):
We really need to be able to come out of
our emotional cages. I think Ryan will have less of
a problem with that.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
I'm I'm not. I'm not. I don't give a I'm
not playing by your guys rules anymore. I'm over it.
Speaker 9 (39:34):
I'm aware of that. I mean, good for you, Bro,
good for you.
Speaker 11 (39:38):
Hopefully I'll be able to go to my concert someday.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
I feel like they're gonna announce it and you're just
not gonna go.
Speaker 11 (39:47):
That's not true. If I'm vaccinated, I'm gonna go.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
What's your concert? Or which concert you're talking about? The Strokes?
Speaker 11 (39:53):
The Strokes, Oh, did they reschedule it or is it
or what? That's not gonna happen.
Speaker 9 (40:00):
Oh no, no not may I think the the someone
for October the weekend hold on, I think Jason knows.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Jason.
Speaker 9 (40:14):
Yeah, So the weekend we sket that we were supposed
to go to last year UH is scheduled for next
March in twenty twenty two.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
So that's OK, that makes sense. Date.
Speaker 9 (40:25):
I think the earliest you're gonna get a large gathering
that's approved in something, unless you're in Texas.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
UH is late this year. Uh yeah, I agree, smaller.
Speaker 9 (40:37):
Gatherings for sure in summer and end that I would imagine.
I don't know how well it will happened, but like
a concert, the earliest I would imagine be like November
December maybe, unless you're in Texas.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
I'm I'm already upset that I'm having a fucking another
birthday without anything. You know, I agree, I was.
Speaker 9 (41:00):
I was gonna say it was like I technically didn't
have a birthday last year, so I'm turning thirty.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Eight year whow what I say?
Speaker 9 (41:09):
I say for all of us, yes, but what suck
for Ryan and myself the most is because our birthdays
happened in the exact beginning of it, and so everyone's
like it'll blow over in like a month or two.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Oh yeaheah. It was like it happened a week they
I got plans for my birthday, and the week of
my birthday, everything locked up, lockdown. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (41:30):
I got a birthday, happy birthday, like Facebook messenger call
for my family, and then I spend it with Janettin
and Jason.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
I think we had sushi or something. I did an
eight ball blow with two dudes in the garage. Huh
eight ball same thing. You know.
Speaker 9 (41:51):
Jason did give you obviously, but I was just saying,
as far as celebration, he got me the Infinity.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
Guy anything you can't see it there there you go. Yeah,
thank you. That was pretty cool. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (42:07):
But as far as actually like a party, just stay there,
We're good, huh. I was like I was as far
as a party goes. My family was like, you're good,
just stay there, just stay stayed there.
Speaker 11 (42:18):
Yeah, we'll get together next week, right, everything will be
ready to go.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
So weird. My brother had my brother had a birth
baby shower over the weekend, and I just decided not
to go because it was supposed to be like a
drive by baby shower. And I was yeah, and I'm like,
I'm I gonna drive fifty miles to just go hey,
so yeah, I don't I don't blame you for that.
Speaker 9 (42:42):
Yeah, I mean, plus, it's a baby shower. It's not
even like a birthday.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
I would do it. Apparently my family was were like
everybody who got the invite was just just said fuck
that and all got out of the car and ended
up hanging out. And so I was a little fun
out about that because I would have I would have
loved to hang out, you know. Yeah, well, you know whatever.
The the.
Speaker 9 (43:07):
The daughter of my neighbors that she had like a
drive by birthday and that was pretty cool, like seeing
all the like a line of card on my street
and stuff.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (43:15):
The only time I think like the drive by things
are okay if it's for a child's like birthday, but
if it's for literally anything else, you can go fun yourself.
Speaker 9 (43:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:23):
I was like, I'm good, yeah, yeah, I'm not going yeah. Yeah.
Plus it's like, well I'll send you Like, why am
I gonna whatever? I mean, I paid for the keg
for meless, meatless baby shower. I forgot about that. Was
(43:45):
that was like a massive cager party. You guys are there, right,
you're gonna wackt the cagar Uh. Probably you guys were
there my mom's old place in Temple City, Yes, right there.
Speaker 9 (43:58):
Now money such a bad memory that maybe it was
my brain is deterior deterior rating. I just it's hard,
that's how bad it is. Every Tuesday is the only
(44:19):
time I actually speak. The conversations I have are either
in my head or to my cat. Sometimes it just
I should I should definitely go outside. Yeah great, who knows.
Maybe in like a month or two I'll be vaccinated
and I'd be like, hello world.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Yeah, you guys are all fucking you guys are all
like next swords and then the uh and bench warmers
right now, yeah, I'll be chills on. So vaccinated, Yeah,
I did, I know, I sent I put in a
thing to get the vaccine to like I don't know.
There was like a website you can go into and
like kind to put what field of work you're in,
and they put you on a list.
Speaker 9 (45:02):
Yeah, because right now there are I mean, if you
do work in like food service and whatnot. And I
wasn't sure if now that everything opens up if you
were going.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
That's what put that restaurant or not. I could, but
I'm not going to.
Speaker 11 (45:18):
No, but yeah, if you did, you might be able
to get the vaccine. Exactly, go work for a week,
get a pay check.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
Or But how am I going to prove that? Like,
you know, they can't ask me for proof of fucking
working there. You know I could show them a paste
up from earlier and just be like, there's there's plenty
of plenty of plenty of ways I put that I
still work in service. That's what I put.
Speaker 11 (45:46):
So that way, they are they giving you an appointment
that I haven't gotten one yet, but I should be
giving you on them because I mean they're they're I
think they're vaccine. Everybody who's in FOET service service. I
know how we got how we got an appointment.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Nice.
Speaker 9 (46:00):
Yeah, I'm very happy for anyone that is able to
and does get vaccinated.
Speaker 3 (46:06):
I feel like I'm immune, but I'm not certain, so
I wouldn't. You should definitely get it.
Speaker 9 (46:15):
I didn't want to bring up my post that I
posted on Facebook earlier and on Twitter, and it was
just something that popped.
Speaker 3 (46:23):
Into my head. But it was earlier because the audience.
Speaker 9 (46:28):
The thought popped in my head like a couple of
days ago, I was like, this is so weird because
I've seen so many mixed things on social media about
people who were like it's like, oh, you don't know
the fu's in the vaccine, you can get weird side effects.
And I was like, why are the same people that
say that they aren't afraid of the effects of COVID
the exact same people that that are are afraid of
(46:48):
the side effects of a vaccine. So I'm like, you
are You don't make any sense to me at all,
Like these are the people that I see out all
the time.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
My body were thinking that we're living in it where
we're living in an era where hippies and Republicans are
on the same page, thinking that like the government is
trying to kill us and uh, and that the vaccines
are terrible, you know what I mean world we're living
in right now, Guys like, let me just prove that
(47:20):
we're gonna kill ourselves, like no matter what, like obviously,
oh yeah, you don't need the government intervened in anything.
We'll kill ourselves.
Speaker 9 (47:27):
Be so fucked by all the people that like are
like zommies aren't real, and then they're like, oh, I'm
gonna hide the zombie fucking bite It doesn't matter.
Speaker 11 (47:34):
Yeah, yeah, it's not gonna affect me. I'm not gonna
turn in a zombie.
Speaker 3 (47:41):
Somebody that we might get some of those. These zombies
not that bad, you guys. It's like the food. It's
like a survival ray guys. Yeah, bro, you can totally.
Speaker 9 (47:54):
I'll go get somebody.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
Bite me, please bite me. I don't know, man, it's
I don't know. My whole my whole philosophy right now
is just like I'm just I'm just over it. That's all.
Speaker 9 (48:11):
I would like to also publicly announce that I am
also over it.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
Ye yes, I am also over it. Over it, I'm
over it. I'm gonna I'm gonna live the way I
want and uh, you know, I'm gonna do what I can.
Speaker 9 (48:29):
But if if everyone got vaccinated, we can all do that.
So I'd be very happy to promote that.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
I'm getting vaccinated. But oh yeah, I'm not just talking
to you. I'm talking just yeah. I don't know if
you know this.
Speaker 9 (48:41):
We have a we have a podcast with Naughty and
Sometimes What. Yeah, we're being recorded right now and we're
also streaming live.
Speaker 11 (48:51):
Yeah, I don't say anything, racister, misogynist ring.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
Ruin right now. It is the best thing I've ever created.
We're gonna talk about it.
Speaker 11 (49:19):
We gotta talk about we gotta talk about it again.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
Again for everyone. Oh yeah, I don't have anything to do.
Speaker 9 (49:26):
Yeah, we'll get into want to vision spoilers at the
at the end of the show, so that if you
haven't seen.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
It split early last week. So yeah, yeah, it's all good.
Were over two hours last week, so.
Speaker 9 (49:37):
Well yeah, before we were done.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
But I understand what you're talking about. You got things
to do.
Speaker 5 (49:43):
Good for you.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
I had company, I saw I had a party.
Speaker 9 (49:50):
I was like, I was like, who this is a
baby behind you?
Speaker 3 (49:53):
Ah yeah, all right, we'll talk about I we'll talk
about that often. God, Like you said, I'm just I
don't know what. Yeah, horrible Woody Allen document anything that
(50:19):
people are talking about, so that my mind is not
hold on. Okay, So I like to I like to
do this before we get into anything, right, I like
to talk about what we're watching, right, Yeah, can we
do that right now? Yeah? Of course. So I put
on that Cecil Cecil Hotel document like docum Yeah, sorry,
(50:43):
Cecil whatever, And I said it twice thinking I was
saying it wrong. But but I literally like I I
put it on and then I have to turn it
off because it's so fucking weird, and I get and
I every night that I put it, that I watch
an episode, I have fucking nightmares. Oh so, and I
(51:08):
don't like what is it about? I've heard of it
about what it is? So, uh the season hotel, like
it's it's got this dark history. I mean it's like
where Richard Ramirez would like hang out at, like after
he would kill somebody, and and then it became like
a flophouse for like, you know, homeless people who could
have you know, just cheap, cheap rates. Then it became
like a fucking prostitution ring, like there was all kinds
(51:30):
of people coming in and like Hollywood's oldest hotel, like
it used to be a pretty prestigious hotel, like back
in the fuck when you know when they were founding Atliot.
It's right there, it's right there around the corner from
skid Row. But it's on uh on Broadway, I think, right,
so yeah, I think it's on the edge of Broadway. Yeah,
and uh the street is yeah. So so it's it
(51:52):
just so happened that it got kind of kind of
got inngulfed in this culture of bad things, you know.
Speaker 11 (52:00):
But yeah, well, I mean like from the beginning, it
was like three months into opening in the twenties, there's
already its first death in it.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
And then since then there's just been like all these
crazy deaths. And so yeah, there's been liked ship the deaths, murders, overdoses.
But the weirdest one is this, Yeah, there's the weirdest
one is this fucking one of the girl from from Canada,
Alisa Lamb, a Lisa Lamb. She was just this college
(52:28):
student who went who decided to travel to l A
on her own and and the Cecil Hotel is known
for having like cheap rates for tourists and stuff and
uh and so she stayed there on a budget and
uh and and and they and then there's like then
she went missing and no one can find her for weeks,
and then they found her body in the fucking water
tank on the on the roof of the fucking building.
(52:50):
You remember that, Yeah? Remember that?
Speaker 11 (52:52):
Yeah, certainly found out because they're like people who were
staying up. They'll tell her like this water is like,
you know, it tastes weird and it's coming out.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Brown, yes, yeah, and you don't know that's when you
find that out. Yes, And that's yeah, fucking disgusting. Here's
the craziest thing, though, there's a movie called dark Water.
That's the that is the premise of the movie, and
that came out like two thousand and three. Yeah, that's right.
So was that people. This guy was murdering people and
putting them in the fucking tank. And so the hotel
(53:21):
had they were like trying to solve murders in the
hotel had black water coming out of the fucking Yeah.
That's so disgusting. This is why, this is what's so crazy.
Speaker 9 (53:33):
Said, I do not watch these fucking documentaries.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
I don't anyway, So I've been watching it. Yeah, okay,
I know, I know, and and so like everyone was
telling me, you need to watch the fucking night Stocker documentary.
I was like, I think, I'm okay, and and then
like but then I was like, but I remember following
this case of Alista Lamb pretty closely when it was happening,
because it was like two thousand and thirteen twelve or something.
(53:57):
M h, yeah, there's around there, and I remember following
it pretty closely and twenty thirteen. Yeah, so it was like,
uh so I you know, I'd work at the office,
so I'd go in every morning and read read the
updates on it, you know, and yeah, and so that's
why I was like, I wanted to, you know, kind
of check this out. And it sys the Cecil Hotel
(54:20):
is uh Cecil Cecil is it? Whatever the fuck it's
it was the premise. It was the inspiration for the
uh American Horror Story Hotel season. Yeah, that's right. So anyway,
there's there was just all this history and I remember
reading all this stuff about it. So that's why I
(54:40):
was kind of interested in watching it because I thought,
maybe oh this like all it did was just creep
me out even more. And just so I've been watching
this and I'll watch I watched two episodes in one
night and then and and then you know how like
you fall asleep with the TV on, Like I fell
asleep watching it, and I was waking up on just
some real fucked up parts, and and then I couldn't
(55:02):
go back to sleep because I was all creeped out.
So I put on like cartoons to like fucking just
to just eat my back because I was all anxious
and like I even closed my window, like fuck man,
I felt so creeped out.
Speaker 9 (55:16):
My mom has joined the chat. She wants to let
us know that Richard Ramirez was there the hotel too.
Speaker 3 (55:22):
We know that. Yeah, he kill my mom, who is
a h a known old friend of Richard confidant. Yeah. Yeah,
it's I mean it's great, it's very compelling, and you know,
you hear from the poor, the poor Mexican fucking you know,
(55:45):
landscaper and Ship and then h and also uh you know,
and also a manager who managed the hotel for like
ten years who just really wanted to like turn the
place around and and just kind of became a victim
of all the fucked up things that were happening. Yeah, Ship, Yeah. Yeah.
I think they're like, you know, finally going to like
(56:06):
close it down and demolish it. Are they finally going
to as I don't have a.
Speaker 11 (56:10):
Yeah, yeah, which is I mean, it's kind of unfortunate
because it is, like, you know, I mean, it's so
old that just because of the old architecture, it's like
a beautiful building, but it's a land market.
Speaker 3 (56:19):
It actually has it's it's actually like that's what they're
talking about They're talk about the way it was built.
It could stand for years. Yeah exactly, I mean it
has been.
Speaker 9 (56:27):
It has been for so long, and like they're gonna
demolish it and then it will immediately sink into the ground,
which will become a hell mouth.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
And yeah, that's how they opened the portal hell.
Speaker 9 (56:39):
Actually, you guys, demons and zombies will roam the earth
and then the Republicans will deny that that's happening.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
That all begins. But on top of that, I watched
The Dead Don't Die. Have you guys seen that one? No, No,
I've heard of it. I don't like to delve into horror,
and unless I'm with you, it's like a zombie horror,
zombie horror slash comedy. But it's like, okay, because like,
(57:14):
what was that?
Speaker 9 (57:15):
We just got trailer four Zack Snyder's Army of the
Dead for Netflix, and that looks like fun, I guess,
and obviously like zombie Land and.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Not like that. But it's an Adam Driver and uh
and Bill Murray play like two cops in the middle
of like, oh, I think I brought that trailer onto
the show. At some point I didn't watch it though
on because like I watched it there you have? Yeah,
then was in it too. Yeah, it's a huge cast,
fucking Tom Waits. There's like there's so many people in
(57:49):
that movie. Uh nice, Yeah, I do. You gotta check
that out. What's on right now? It's on Prime. How
was it? You like it? I really enjoyed it. I
don't know if Garrett will like it. But it's very meta.
It's like kind of self aware. Oh yeah, there's dogs
here now.
Speaker 9 (58:09):
Ryan's house is always changed. It's like those dogs here.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
Well, you know what they call it. They you know
what they call our house over here, the frat they
called they call it the frat house, fat house, trap house. Yeah,
they call it the because uh, because I don't know people.
We just like literally people wanted to come over on Friday,
Like I was getting people hitting me up like hey,
(58:32):
what are you doing? We want to come down and
hang out, and I'm like, not tonight. Not like people
know they could come here and get fucked up and crash.
Speaker 9 (58:40):
You know, it's like Ryan's twenty one year old dream
right now, He's going.
Speaker 3 (58:45):
I mean, but yeah, I mean that's that's why I'm
but yeah, but it catches up to me. So then
Friday night, I'm like, I ain't going I Am not
going anywhere, and no one's coming over. I'm just staying
in bed all day. I feel you.
Speaker 9 (58:57):
I guess I've been hung over for the past two days.
Is just this to ease my stomach and then hopefully
I'll be good tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
Well, you know me, I've met a few friends over
here too, so like's you know, we sometimes I have
like a bonfire and we'll just be outside drinking all
night and shit. But anyway, yeah, you guys check out
that debt Don't Die And apparently it's a remake I think. Yeah,
there's like a nineteen fifties movie called The Dead Don't Die.
Speaker 9 (59:26):
Mm hm, No, well, I'll probably check that out because
I remember seeing the trailer and thinking that was pretty cool.
I've been I feel like I'm overwhelmed with options right
now because now I do have Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu,
a fucking HBO Max, and I'm like, what do I
(59:49):
watch next? Currently watching like three different things. Also that
there's still network stuff like did you got I mean
you probably didn't, but Superman and Lois premiered last week,
and I I actually think it's really good. So I'm
gonna start watching that now and the c W. Yeah,
that and the Flashes back today, so I'm gonna be
on that again. I've been catching up on what was
(01:00:12):
it called Into the Badlands because after Cobra Kai ended,
which you didn't end, just the sea the last season ended,
they finished it. Yeah, fucking crazy, bro, and then they
started production already.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
What did you think about that last episode? That fight.
Speaker 9 (01:00:30):
I want I'm not gonna say who, but I wanted
to kick his head through the glass at the end,
but he didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:00:36):
Yeah, I was like do it?
Speaker 9 (01:00:40):
Yeah, but yeah, pretty pretty pretty cool?
Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
And then uh I saw I thought it was better
than the than the high school one, oh the.
Speaker 9 (01:00:52):
Oh, the the house one is every time, yes, I
would have to watch them kind of side by side.
But one of the things while watching that, I was like,
this is amazingly choreographed.
Speaker 3 (01:01:02):
Oh yeah, and but but it's there choreography of the
fucking of the you know, the DP and the cast
and the stunt people, you know, like all together like
this whole fucking dance. It's crazy.
Speaker 9 (01:01:17):
And I like it because it made more sense to
what was I telling you about the high school was
like there's no teachers and it's like one teaper. Like,
I'm not doing that. They're doing karate.
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Karate riot.
Speaker 9 (01:01:29):
Yeah, karate riot, which was the best. Don't go to
the valley kids because there could be a karate riot breaking, right,
But yeah, I love that. And then I just I
used to watch Into the band Lands, but I stopped,
so it's on Netflix. I'm I'm currently watching that again.
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
Anybody had gotten back into uh, The Walking Dad because
I I think I'm only a season behind uh, but
I kind of don't.
Speaker 9 (01:01:57):
Care right now. There might be something that will make
me care at some point, but currently, aren't.
Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
They supposed to be wrapping it up? Wasn't there supposed
to be a movie? What?
Speaker 9 (01:02:05):
Like, what's going The movie is still going on, The
show is still going on. They apparently have like more
than I think more than one spin off already. There's
Fear of the Walking Dead, and I think another one
coming out.
Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
Well, Fear is great. Have you guys watched Fear at all?
Speaker 9 (01:02:18):
I only watched bits the first season. First season, I
thought it was zombo. I watched the second season too.
Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
It gets I think I overwhelmed.
Speaker 9 (01:02:26):
I honestly don't remember why. It's not I may have
gone away. Maybe that was what it was.
Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
Maybe maybe something else. I don't remember timeline. It's it's
just it's just I don't know. I think I think, yeah,
I think maybe we just kind of got a little
like overload of walking up.
Speaker 9 (01:02:40):
There was a time where it's like everything's a zombie thing.
I'm burnt out now.
Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
Even though I liked Walking Dead, we love the Walking Down.
I mean we all loved the Walking Dead, right, I mean, like, man,
that was our remember we'd have it was like that.
And I remember remember when Dexter was huge and we
were watching Decks. We were watching the final season.
Speaker 9 (01:02:58):
Back Dexter's getting another you know season that apparently, Oh
you didn't hear this.
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
No, I thought I thought they were gonna do like
a like a reboot of it or something.
Speaker 9 (01:03:07):
No, this is a continuation. Apparently it's supposed to be
like what Deck has been up to in the past,
like three years or something.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Oh yeah, uh, a.
Speaker 9 (01:03:20):
Ton of stuff I'm watching. Also started watching Titans, not
a big fan, not a big fan, and like the
last episode it was like the dialogue wrote the dialogue,
I want to punch in the face if you can't
write huh, fuck batman, fuck Batman.
Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
No, they they did a this is one thing that
I saw it and I almost punched my computer.
Speaker 5 (01:03:42):
There there is me.
Speaker 9 (01:03:45):
Okay, there's two times where I almost it was it
was it was somebody just played an innocent joke, prank
whatever on somebody, and they did the classic line that
I would never I never want to hear anyone say
ever ever again. They said you should have seen your face?
(01:04:07):
And I was like, are you fucking kidding me?
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
This is the laziest writing. And maybe it was the
delivery as well, but it was a very much like
you should have seen your who's life? By the way,
I don't know, and that's why I don't. That's why
I'm like that. I mean, I've said I've said this.
I've been like I've been like like if I did
something to you and I look at did you see
his face?
Speaker 9 (01:04:31):
But that's an actual, like prank type of thing. But
this is literally like a like a just kidding type
of moment, Like it was like, no, I'm just fucking
with you. That would have been realistic, but it was like, no,
I'm just fucking with you. You should have seen your face.
He did this the overdue dramatic like pointing at his
own face in your face, and I was like, are
you fucking kidding? H so my biggest things and I'll
(01:04:56):
say this until I die. Uh, it's bad dial and
not putting the right rules into your show. Like if
you set up a rule where you know, like I
use this example a lot. You set up the rule
that guns don't exist, that's fine, I'll accept it. You
set up the rule that phones don't exist, that's fine,
I'll accept it. I don't like it, I'll accept it.
You set up the rule that, uh, you know, just
(01:05:18):
say something that is like, in this world, this doesn't
work and then.
Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
Stick to it.
Speaker 9 (01:05:24):
That's what I don't care. Set up the world that
the rule that, oh, in this world everyone gets to
fly for some reason. Sure, I don't care why, Like
you don't have to explain it. Just tell me that
that's the thing, and I'll be fine. But I don't
like non logical shit that doesn't make sense, Like you're
just like, we're not going to tell you why or
that it's a thing. It just it happened. Because yeah,
(01:05:45):
that's why you're gonna like that movie that dead don't
die because things just happen.
Speaker 12 (01:05:49):
And you don't know why.
Speaker 9 (01:05:51):
Sort of like like like like if you watch a zombie,
I'll put it in a zombie. But if you watch
a zombie movie and all of a sudden, one of
the zombies like flies away and nobody even mentions it,
like what, or some guy backs into a wall and
all of a sudden, it just says like zombie cure.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Like what like that Just it's kind of like it's
like I said, it's it's it's it's very breaks the
third wall. So fourth wall, fourth wall. Sorry, that's fine
breaking the fourth wall and medadness should be fine. That's why.
That's why it makes less sense because it breaks the
(01:06:34):
fourth wall. It kind of puts you in it, lets you, uh,
lets you be the writer of the of the of
the movie at some point, you know what I mean.
It's kind of.
Speaker 9 (01:06:48):
I'll say this, I rewatched the first two Austin Powers
movies over the weekend and I love them. I love them,
and I rewatched them. It was like I still love them.
There was really a point and this is when they
start introducing time travel. They have a good day, uh
time travel where awesome power just does this, He's like, wait,
but if I do this and I go picking time,
(01:07:10):
He's like, oh no, I've gone to this is like
it's best not to worry about that. And they both
look at the camera and they say that goes for
you too, and that's fine. Yeah, Like, I don't care
about the rules of time travel.
Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
If you tell me.
Speaker 9 (01:07:26):
Don't care about the rules of a rule of time, yeah,
but just don't expect me to be like, okay, like
I'm not going for a ride and then you just
fucking make a sharp right off a cliff and then
we land on a fucking cloud and be like not
asking questions. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's my major thing with
(01:07:49):
these things. If you're gonna stick to a thing, stick
to it. And also, don't be lazy with your fucking dialogue.
You face writers that I could be better than you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
D Beverly Hills Ninja is on Netflix now. Mm hmm.
I watched it the other day.
Speaker 9 (01:08:09):
I was that was that was it?
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
That was I just I was just so happy. I
just had like a I had like a I made
myself a bowl of popcorn and I just sat down
and like, watch and know where you're going with that.
But yeah, I love that movie. I know.
Speaker 5 (01:08:25):
I was just happy.
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
I was like so happy to watch that movie. Just
lapped my ass off remembering how much I loved that movie.
Speaker 9 (01:08:32):
You know, awesome powers truly, I was like, I fucking
am laughing. I'm laughing out loud again. The ship that
I haven't seen forever, but I love it, and it's
it's awful stupid, but it's so hard, like super would
be canceled now, like it would not be but jokes
about like the entirety of but why though, Like number
two are all fat jokes and midget jokes. Yeah, men
(01:08:55):
and me and fat bastard there fun.
Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
Yeah, yeah, they're fun.
Speaker 9 (01:09:00):
We're made now, Like like I could just imagine, like
people are trying to cancel eminem right now because of
his lyrics.
Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Because of like what because there's lyrics like you guys
haven't heard Kim Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:09:15):
God check that out.
Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
God, Yeah, so's even even even the ship on his
what is it? The not in the mark, the one
before that, the slim shady LP, that one, that one's
really bad. Brain damage is a fucking terrible song.
Speaker 9 (01:09:35):
I remember, I remember, uh when we when we were younger,
Jason had a CD of Eminem and uh, my dad
was driving us and Jason put it on and immediately
my dad.
Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
Was like, the hell is this?
Speaker 11 (01:09:46):
You're never allowed to listen to this and around me. Ever,
I never be Eminem because I had never got like
why he was. I mean, like Sugar is a good rapper,
but like every time I heard him, just like it's
just like the s he's saying is fucking terrible.
Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
I don't like this at all.
Speaker 9 (01:10:01):
I love it if let's just say he wasn't even
speaking words like I was. I felt it like I
was like I'm vied with I don't know why I
can't relate to this at all, but with it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
Don't worry. Calm down, bitch. I'm not gonna shoot you.
I'm going to pull you to this bullet and put
it through you. I don't know. And that's he's he's
talking about. He's talking about beating beating up his mom's
friends and shooting killing up you know.
Speaker 9 (01:10:34):
Yeah, you know, like if you actually examine, like this
is not healthy at all, This is not good Like this,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:10:43):
It's the same ship that like what they you know,
like Marilyn Manson, remember they tried to blame Marilyn Manson
for like a murder that happened. It was all around
the same time.
Speaker 11 (01:10:52):
It's like, just try to blame it from like Columbine, didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
They Oh yeah, they tried to blame for Columbine. Yeah
that's right, that's right. Yeah. But whatever, it's it's it's
just raised your fucking kids, right, you know, just how
about that? How about pay attention?
Speaker 9 (01:11:08):
I know, like, and that's the whole thing is and
that's not changed at all, is the lack of accountability
for people who aren't charge of by the people. Back
in the day, they blame everything on you know, video
games and music, and like they're changing our kids.
Speaker 3 (01:11:23):
Like you're just not paying attention to your kids. And
now now they're just trying to blame everybody else who
makes it so that way they don't have to and
blocking it from everybody. You know, they're trying to just
just fucking censor everything so that way you just don't
even see or hear it anymore.
Speaker 9 (01:11:40):
And I saw this meme earlier this week that I
was like, very applicable, I can just pull it up
real quick. But it was it was literally like parents
getting angry that they fuck wh where did I put it?
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
It was so good? Well I got as Yeah, bud
Lights again, so many piss breaks.
Speaker 9 (01:12:00):
Nice, get into what you were drinking. I don't even
remember saying he was drinking bud Lights.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Yeah, I had a vodka. I had a vodka lemonade.
Speaker 9 (01:12:06):
But I also that's right, but then you switch back
to bud Light and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yahd YadA YadA, YadA, YadA yady. I'll get back
to that once I find it. But either way, Ricky,
anything new before we get into stories. Nope, okay, that
(01:12:27):
sounds good. Oh, here it is, I'll say it toge everyone.
Speaker 3 (01:12:32):
Ryan comes back.
Speaker 9 (01:12:33):
But it's like twenty twenty parents, we have to open
up schools.
Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
What are we supposed to do?
Speaker 9 (01:12:38):
Just leave our children alone at home for hours? And
then there's it was like parents of the eighties and nineties.
Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
Yeah, I posted that, Oh did you? Yeah? I was
like yeah Instagram.
Speaker 9 (01:12:52):
I mean, I honestly don't blame my mands because obviously
they were working, but I think like when we were
really they were working until like five or six, so
like there was a time in between school and that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
I was like, it was just me and my sister
at home. It's like not happened, but it happened. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:13:08):
I mean like like even then, like at the time,
like we didn't know, like that wasn't supposed to happen,
Like we just ourselves stay home and don't open the door.
Speaker 3 (01:13:17):
Yeah, don't at to the door. You're good. I remember.
Speaker 9 (01:13:20):
The scariest time was was uh uh one of the
kids dads came over because he said that I hit him,
and he was like pounding on the door.
Speaker 3 (01:13:31):
And I was like, what am I supposed to do?
Speaker 9 (01:13:33):
And then and then you know, yeah, you knew I
was there, and then the school, the school called and
like on on the voicemailt it's like, Garrett, you need
to come over here.
Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
And I was like, no, I'm gonna do that. They
can't see me. I was like what do I do?
One time I found the meme.
Speaker 9 (01:14:01):
I don't know if you if you heard what I said,
but it was it was it was twenty twenty parents,
we have to open the schools.
Speaker 3 (01:14:06):
What are we supposed to do? Just leave our children
alone at.
Speaker 9 (01:14:09):
Home for hours? And then it's that you know that
little monkey puppet where it's like parents of eighties and
nineties kids.
Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I.
Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
Was like I was, I was like, I'm trying to think.
Speaker 9 (01:14:24):
I'm like, I'm pretty sure I was alone a majority
of my childhood. That's a vision with that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
Yeah, well yours, both of you guys parents worked, so yeah,
only but my mom was home all the time.
Speaker 9 (01:14:39):
So yeah, and this this was actually, I mean before
I even met you too, Like I met you in
the end or middle of sixth grade or whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
Yeah, my entire younger years, like I was pretty much
left alone or with my grandma if I lived here
or whatever.
Speaker 9 (01:14:57):
As a teenager. We had technically we're loan, but we're
loan together.
Speaker 3 (01:15:02):
Yeah yeah, yeah, well that it was hung out of
your house. So we always hung out at your house
until your dad got out, just.
Speaker 9 (01:15:14):
Hanging out my house, scaring Ricky with like uh those
fun little mazes or finding yeah oh.
Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Yeah the wal dough that's right.
Speaker 13 (01:15:24):
But that thing man did a three sick no moment.
Speaker 3 (01:15:37):
That was so yeah you scooby dude, scoomy dude, like
just like back down the chair didn't one motion, you
kind of like three fell. Yeah, yep, that's terrible. That
(01:16:00):
was with the days, yeah exactly.
Speaker 9 (01:16:02):
But I'm going back to it, just in a nutshell,
accountability is something that I think society severely lacks. You know, yes,
you can say, you know things actually happened to your
kids or whatever. But if it's just like the video
games shaker fist or the music shak your fist or whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:16:23):
I mean, yeah, anything but me anything. But it's not
like if you have that much time to complain and
like rally against something, like you.
Speaker 9 (01:16:33):
Have enough time to talk to your kids.
Speaker 3 (01:16:35):
You have enough time to talk to kid, yeah yeah, yeah,
but then I have to talk to my kids. That's
been but that's been a thing going on for I
mean for ship well, well beyond our generation, you know.
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (01:16:53):
It's just now, with the invention of the Internet, everyone's
voice is just turned to a leven because it's like
everyone flocks. That's why we were saying, like I've said,
I think we've said this so many times on the show,
where it's like the reason that we're in such a
pickle right now is with the invention of the Internet,
(01:17:14):
you get so much more information, but the problem is
you also get so much more misinformation, and you also
get to group together with like minded individuals, whether they
be right.
Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
Wrong, or harmful or not harmful or what have you.
Speaker 9 (01:17:27):
You know, that's why you have people that find groups
of people that just think like them, and it reinforced
that actual mentality as opposed to be like you know,
society like, hey, that's maybe a bit excwed. Let me
try and understand why you think that way, and let
me help you see a different side if you're you know,
open to that. That's not how this works anymore. It's it's,
(01:17:48):
you know what, I have a certain belief and then
I go on Facebook. Look, there's a group of ten
thousand people that also have this belief.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
I'm in the right. You know, This is how it worked.
I actually had a really good high light of Hit
the Mics. If you guys want to check it out,
it's on YouTube on my YouTube page and uh or
you can just subscribe on Hit the Mics. But but no,
we we talked about all the ship, specifically around the
Gina Corano being fired thing.
Speaker 9 (01:18:15):
Oh your I think you're canceled culture highlight. Yeah, I
think I saw you post something that about that. I
don't think canceled culture because I think everything needs to
be a case by case basis absolutely like we're saying
right now, things are like, really, this is what you're
spending your time on.
Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Yes, But the thing was, it was just kind of
a I liked that conversation. That's why I took a
snippet of it because the whole thing just kind of
covered all bases. Yeah, it just kind of covered all
of it. It was. It was kind of corn and
cancel culture was like the conversation you know, yeah, I
(01:18:53):
had a you know I had it was just kind
of playing the devil's advocate. I don't want to get
into it now because I've already done it twice on
two different other part podcast, but like it's just.
Speaker 9 (01:19:03):
A better one and I think.
Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
But anyway, yeah, I mean, because it's a whole discussion,
but just watch those two fucking that clip or whatever.
Speaker 9 (01:19:12):
I don't think that it's it's it's a it's a
big discussion amongst us because I think we have fairly
similar ideas.
Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
I mean, it's just I think, actually I think I
think you guys would disagree with me on it, but
I guess not really disagree. I just I you do
it in a nutshell, In a nutshell my opinion, was.
Speaker 11 (01:19:31):
Yeah, say that we have the drink.
Speaker 9 (01:19:34):
Okay, well then then yeah, Before Ryan gets into that,
I think I'll just say really quickly, I think everything's
a case by case basis, And it goes back to
the stem of what I was saying was accountability is
something that doesn't happen where people people just double and
triple down on things, assuming that they what they are
(01:19:54):
doing has no consequence whatsoever. And if someone's saying, hey,
you know, can you be accountable? The answer across the
board for a lot of people is no, I will not. Yeah,
And so when it all goes down to accountability, I am.
I am very for the idea of like, hey, I
realized I did a thing or I realized that I
(01:20:16):
said a thing, and yeah, I don't think that was
a good idea, but I did it. So I'm gonna
own up to it. But that's not what I feel anymore.
That's how I don't want to have that be a
part of me.
Speaker 3 (01:20:26):
But I will admit to that that is something that
I have almost never heard from somebody in the limelight. Sure,
So that's my point in a nutshell, you know, specifically
a case.
Speaker 9 (01:20:39):
It's basically as as specifics but boy, fucking just if
you could just say hey, or even if you truly.
Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
And this is fine.
Speaker 9 (01:20:48):
This is also fine in the sense that you are
digging yourself in more if you don't believe you're wrong,
if you don't believe at all, then you deserve what
you're digging.
Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
I think she took. I think she took what what
her thing was with you know what, with I don't know,
I don't know, Okay, So anyway, let me just say this,
let me this was my point. But but before I
get into my point, I want to preface this by
saying I do not agree with anything she's saying, obviously,
and and the and I don't and I'm still kind
(01:21:23):
of on the fence about it. And I'm only saying
this as a fan of the show and not really
as a fan of hers or as a fan of
and what of the Mandalorian? Yeah, and also as uh so,
you know, an advocate of freedom of speech. So point
is I and I and I hear I've heard every
(01:21:44):
other point my right and and I agree with everybody,
but this is just my opinion. I did not think
she needed to be fired. That's just my opinion. And
everyone everyone can you know whatever, if you if you
want to argue with me, we can argue. But I
just I don't. I I just but this is just me,
and and every every point makes sense about about the
way the forum that she was on and the and
(01:22:06):
the way she was talking and how many warnings she's
gotten or whatever. I understand, Like, I definitely get that
aspect of it. However, Uh, if that is true to her,
she has every right to say so. And I and
I don't think that that necessarily should take away your
(01:22:27):
ability to work on a show. Uh well, you know,
entertainment's different. I'm just saying I'm speaking specifically as as
like somebody working as in a job, just in general.
Mm hm. I mean, and and I understand that even
even if let's say I was on a job and
I had a public fucking forum and I was I
was saying some ship that a lot of people didn't
agree with, I could I could sue that company for
(01:22:49):
firing me over my political opinion. Let me let me,
let me, let me let me.
Speaker 9 (01:22:59):
I I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
I just want to emphasize certain things that don't you
fucking htt me see, because I understand that I'm telling
you I get all points. I am understanding every fucking
aspect of this. I've already said this with so many people.
I get that I'm just stating my opinion, that's all.
Speaker 9 (01:23:17):
Actually, I'm not trying to change in my at all.
I told you I agree with you. What I want
to emphasize about what you're saying to you, know, Brighten,
my own opinion is that no, she did not need
to be fired. However, like any job, especially when in entertainment,
this was not a manager being like you fucked up
(01:23:40):
and you gotta go. This is a company who is
making a decision based off of what you represent, and
you represent part of their image. And from what I heard,
and I don't know if this is one hundred percent true,
she was asked to be like, hey, can you just
not understand? She said, no, I'm going to double down,
(01:24:01):
triple down. And basically that's like telling that's flipping your
manager in the face. To just put it in a
in a relationship with any regular work, it's like, hey,
can you you're when you're on the floor, we're trying
to present a certain image and you're doing something that
is not working with it.
Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
Can you not?
Speaker 9 (01:24:19):
And they said fuck you. I'm gonna do what I
want and she has every right to, which is why
I'm saying there's no problem with freedom of yes, but
there is an issue with people not understanding the difference
between taking away your speech and consequences of your speech,
no doubling down on what she's saying, what she has
(01:24:40):
every right to. They want to distance themselves from her,
and that's entirely there.
Speaker 3 (01:24:48):
Pro I know I've heard all of this ship that's
that's let me rephrase my what I'm saying. I don't
I didn't want her to be fired because I really
enjoyed her on the show.
Speaker 9 (01:24:57):
Okay, being able to the artist from the art and like,
there's a ton of people like that, Like they're like,
I fucking love House of Cards, but now I can't
see the same because Kevin Spacey, I'm like understandable. I
also like, up until the last year, I loved Gina
Crono and everything she did. I didn't think she was
a good actress, but I liked this. I like seeing her.
(01:25:19):
She was an entertainer and I had no problem with
her on the show. It's not my decision whether she
comes or she stays or goes but I'm not gonna
I'm not gonna sit back and be like, oh, she
was good on the show, just let her be.
Speaker 3 (01:25:35):
And again, I don't know too much. I don't know
exactly what was going on. All I know is that
what I saw and what happened was like kind of
I just went that seems a little extreme.
Speaker 9 (01:25:46):
But let me ask you this, then, if she sucked,
if you hated her on the show, how would you
feel now? Like would your opinion differ? And And that's
kind of something that I'd.
Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
Be a little I mean, like I'm fucking you know,
I'm I'm a mature enough to be like, you know,
I would feel the same because I felt same. I
felt the same about like NFL players and shit, you know,
it's like you know, and even that's that's gotten me
in trouble for that kind of controversial idea that like,
(01:26:16):
these people are like breadwinners for their family, and regardless
of what they do on their you know, on their
spare time, or how they think or feel or whatever
or or you know, whatever actions they get to get
arrested or anything like that, do I think they deserve
to get their career fucking ruined over it? No, not
at all.
Speaker 9 (01:26:36):
It's a little different with the NFL because it's kind
of their only thing. She's an actress and entertainer and
fighter who also, just because you were saying breadwinner, she
is in a very wealthy family. She is from a
very wealthy family. She immediately and I'm sure Disney knew this,
like she's got to get picked up like that for
something else. She had a fucking movie with what's the
(01:26:57):
space the guy that can't make his wife come?
Speaker 3 (01:26:59):
Yeah? I know, uh yeahs okay. So the thing is
it's and also, people forget this a lot.
Speaker 9 (01:27:09):
Disney is run by Republicans, very very big Republicans. They
just didn't want their image to reflect what she was doing.
Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
Right, I know, I understand all that. I'm just saying,
I was just playing Devil's advocate, and just because I
just I need to like, no, not with you, even
even like I love the conversation we're having. It's like
I just I like because we have this platform to
kind of voice less of the idea of what we
what our beliefs are, and more the idea of of
(01:27:41):
our our thought processes. Because thought processes and techniques are
a thousand times better than you should believe this because
of this. Yeah, you know, like here's here's here's here's
what we believe and why we believe it, and make
up your own mind. Yeah. And the whole reason, the
whole reason it became like a thing was at least
in my world, was because our mutual friend Kevin got
(01:28:04):
really rained down on for for posting a well written,
thought out thing on his opinion on the process and
what happened and kind of calling out cancel culture and
sh And his point was that, which is exactly what
I agree with, is that it's a it's it's a
slippery slope. You know, where do we draw the line?
Speaker 13 (01:28:22):
Right?
Speaker 9 (01:28:22):
That why I don't like using cancel culture because you're
essentially tying in people that don't like what Gina Carano
says to somebody that say, I'm not gonna but somebody
who may have like beaten or raped somebody. It's not
the same thing. It's not cancel culture is not the
same thing.
Speaker 5 (01:28:39):
It like, is it.
Speaker 9 (01:28:41):
I don't like putting these together. It has to be
a this person is doing something that is harmful and
I don't like it. Here's why you guys do whatever
you want to do not I don't. I hate these
hashtags the fucking uh. I forget the exact ones they do,
but like rip this person or canceled blank party or whatever.
(01:29:04):
I'm like this, this is the bandwagon stuff that I
don't like the lack of dialogue. And then this goes
back to what I was saying about the internet. With
the invention of the Internet, you could talk to anyone
across the world, but no one's actually having these conversations
because they're just behind their keyboard and they can be
like fuck this person.
Speaker 3 (01:29:23):
But that's that's that was kind of the point I
was trying to make, you know. I just I just
felt it was like it was just so page.
Speaker 9 (01:29:30):
I think you and I are on the same page
as far as that goes.
Speaker 11 (01:29:33):
Yeah, yeah, I haven't cut that much because yeah, I
mean I kind of have my own opinions.
Speaker 9 (01:29:39):
But I mean, you're all, this is the forum if
you want to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
I mean, I just what.
Speaker 11 (01:29:46):
Happened to you in the Toronto to me is not
cancel culture. It's not a freedom of speech thing. It's
accountability for your actions. Yeah, that's I think You're on
the page on that.
Speaker 9 (01:29:56):
I think, because when when when and uh fucking Trump
got got banned from Twitter. Everyone's like freedom of speech,
and I'm like, the president, yeah, he could call a
fucking press conference and say whatever the fuck he wants. Yeah, exactly,
(01:30:16):
company saying you can't use our platform because we don't
agree with what you're doing, which is literally just and
whether you agree or not, that's exactly what it is.
It's whether they could do the same thing to him
as they could to I don't know when we're at
like a Rachel Ray fucking yeah, literally anybody.
Speaker 11 (01:30:33):
I mean, he was the highest person as the president,
like that was the highest he could possibly go. They
could do whatever the fuck they want to do.
Speaker 9 (01:30:39):
He has all of the platforms to talk that he
could ever do. So taking away a private or a
private company doing what they want to do is different
than freedom of speech or taking away so much freedom
of speech, which has that parallel to this.
Speaker 3 (01:30:53):
Disney is a.
Speaker 9 (01:30:54):
Fucking company, and they said yeah, and they're like, please
stop doing what you're doing, and she gets flipping them
off and they're like, okay, yeah, yeah, you know, I.
Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
Get all that. I just was, uh, I guess I
took this as I took it as an example to
kind of just like bring up all these other points,
you know what I mean, like not absolutely like her
specific her specific example is not it's not a good
example for what I'm trying to say.
Speaker 9 (01:31:17):
I guess you know, oh well, if you're just something
about like uh, cancel culture and stuff like fuck. I
don't want to throw out names because I don't want
people come in for me. But there's a ton of
people are I'm like, what do you even what's what's
the issue? And grant that could just be me not
being educated on the specific issue, but I'm like, there
are so many people coming for everyone, and I'm like,
(01:31:38):
you guys just need to calm down and start having
a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:31:41):
Of that we've talked of.
Speaker 11 (01:31:44):
What Yeah, I can be a two good examples, one
first of all being Johnny DApp and the second one
being fucking uh god damn it came to gun. Those
are two guys who got fired from Disney, you know.
One that you know, if you look at the for
Giant Depp, like you know, and you look at all
the things that happened to amberheard like he had you know,
(01:32:05):
even in the courts, you know, like he came out
clean out of all that stuff and still lost his
fucking job, which is not cool. That's cancel culture. Cancel
culture being shitty. I do find that James Gunn as well. Yeah,
where you know they dug up some like you know,
crazy shit from like you know, fucking years ago and
years ago. That's cancel culture. Digging them ship and being
like look what he said, you know, fucking ten years
ago on Twitter. That's cancel culture. That's that's bringing up
(01:32:28):
things from the past for no fucking reason. You're looking
at things just to get mad at Jama Cronald had
every opportunity to stop saying what she was saying and
stopping a fucking idiot, and she said no, and she
got fired for it. Yeah, and I want to commend
like I know more about James Gunn than I do
Giant Depp, just because that's why I follow more. I
guess I don't look in I try, honestly don't try
(01:32:50):
and look into this as much as I can unless
it's a big thing.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
But she's looking at a jail time right Amber heard. Yeah,
I don't.
Speaker 9 (01:32:58):
I don't know anything about but I just wanted to
real quick about James Gunn. I will have to say
how much that. What I'm saying right now is what
I saw.
Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
From James Gun.
Speaker 9 (01:33:08):
He took uh full responsibility. He says, yeah, I said this.
It's not a good thing that I should have said.
Here's why I said it. I don't believe this to
be a thing, and I don't want this to be,
you know, my legacy. Uh And and he said, you know,
I own up to it. He didn't delete anything. He
just fucking went out there and he's like, yeah, I
said that, that's bad.
Speaker 11 (01:33:28):
And also I'm a different person from then, you know,
from that person who I was years ago.
Speaker 9 (01:33:32):
And it is exactly how you handle it, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:33:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:33:36):
And then yes he got fired. But then in the
in the move that I think none of us saw,
he was hired again.
Speaker 3 (01:33:43):
Yeah, he was re hired.
Speaker 9 (01:33:44):
I have never seen a large company do do anything
like that. So Disney to actually go forward it was
diney Disney uh and and fire him and then say
you know what, well, because what happened pun intended, we kind.
Speaker 3 (01:33:58):
Of jumped the gun. Uh And I was like, that
has never happened. I don't know it enough. The situation,
it flipped over. It flipped on Disney because because he
came up with that apology, and a lot of people
really like fell to his aid.
Speaker 9 (01:34:16):
And then that's why you do it, what I said,
because that's how you do that. We read yes, going back,
eat somebody bloody and then said sure it was bad.
Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
Words when we all but my my my point. But also,
like you, a lot of people don't have either an
opportunity to platform or even depending on what you're being
accused of, enough uh, you know, clout to actually get
to get that that much of a response, you know
what I mean, Like some people might already be done
(01:34:52):
with you complaining the world might be completely done with
you already and that and then if you respond that way,
or if you I mean, or if you take too
long to respond, then then then you're you're you're you're
still already fucked.
Speaker 5 (01:35:05):
You know that.
Speaker 3 (01:35:07):
I think just the timing of it and it just
was the perfect storm for it to flip to his aid.
You know.
Speaker 9 (01:35:14):
Yeah, but I think we've we've said, although we need
to say on this cancel. I don't like cancel culture
as a term.
Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
That's what happened. That's not what happened. In my opinion. Look,
I told you I was I was having a discussion,
and I thought, I thought, I want to bring up
these points which we should be having this. I understand
that her her situation is completely different than the point
I was trying to make, you know, as a like,
oh yeah, Eminem, I'm like, okay, everyone just take a
(01:35:48):
bad and don't listen to his music. After having the
first discussion about it, I realized, yeah, Twitter is a
private company. She shouldn't have been, you know, thrown around
things that you know, does she you know, Disney and whatever?
You know, So, yeah, you know your actions happened. I'm
pretty sure she's still on Twit. However. I mean, however,
I do respect her sticking to her guns. And if
(01:36:09):
that's her fucking that that's her reality, then you know,
so be it. That's how you feel, it's how you feel.
I have no problem with that. Yeah, I mean she's
not I don't know. As far as I know, she's
not whining about it. I kind of was whining about like,
you know whatever, I mean, whatever, you.
Speaker 9 (01:36:31):
Can respect what you want to respect.
Speaker 3 (01:36:33):
That's fine.
Speaker 9 (01:36:35):
Let's move forward, though we haven't even started stories. Let's
just jump real quick some some of the big headlines
for entertainment.
Speaker 3 (01:36:44):
News. I may have some news ahead news everybody, this
is just broke out the story.
Speaker 9 (01:37:00):
Questions you you still have to make, you guys a
little bit dangly fand okay.
Speaker 3 (01:37:07):
Somewhere that periods attract bears.
Speaker 5 (01:37:11):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
Nice, let's get in some entertainment, you guys. I love entertainment.
I love being entertained to.
Speaker 11 (01:37:20):
Just real quick though, you know who it doesn't. I
think you're canceled.
Speaker 3 (01:37:24):
Steve in the world, the most liberal redneck ever, the
coolest God damn it was co nice love it, you know,
(01:37:46):
fuck up? You know I was trying. I was trying
to get the stone I was trying to get the
stone cold challenge going on, like TikTok.
Speaker 5 (01:37:53):
What was that?
Speaker 3 (01:37:54):
Well, like we played the music and he slammed two
beers and he just chugged him out people to do it,
and like never took off. But now there's a stone
cold Stunnard challenge on TikTok. So everyone's just getting stone
cold stunnard one.
Speaker 9 (01:38:06):
Just breaking each other's necks.
Speaker 11 (01:38:08):
I know what the fu so much worse.
Speaker 3 (01:38:12):
Fine was way safe for way more fun, but mine
never took off.
Speaker 9 (01:38:18):
Yeah, I mean, people just don't okay. So so I
mean this is kind of a going back to it
like in the very beginning. Literally, I think last March
everyone was, you know, kind of being nice or being
good and staying inside, and you get a lot of
these challenges because we're like, we're at home, let's do
some time.
Speaker 3 (01:38:36):
And then I put out the actually, you know how
he did a great one. Sorry, real quick, hovey, how
he did a great one. Let you finish about time,
because because he he he responded to mine and he
did two broken skulls with his Austin three sixteen shirt
(01:38:56):
and a Texas Rattlesnake hat on, and he slammed two
broken skulls together and slammed them and it was fucking awesome.
Speaker 9 (01:39:02):
I did see that, I believe, I believe. I'm pretty
sure I did see that. But I was, yeah, going
back to it, and and now that I pulled it up,
it is March twenty sixth.
Speaker 3 (01:39:10):
That I did this.
Speaker 9 (01:39:11):
So literally, like all the challenges happened last March like
one year ago, right, So that's why I was getting
so many I was getting so many like, uh, going
back to this, and I'm not again do it nominations,
but it's really just people be like, hey, you fucking
do the challenge that I'm like, all right, I need
to make one video where I knock all of these
out because it's it's I want to do this, and
(01:39:31):
then I'm just gonna pull it up real real quick,
because it's like I put this out here and I
don't know if you can see this in there. I
tagged all these people and nominated them, and not a
single one of them did it, and I was so pid.
Speaker 3 (01:39:46):
Tag huh, I'm not tagning that. No, No, I don't.
I don't think you did, because I got challenge for
that shot and a beer challenge like eight times, Like
I just playing.
Speaker 9 (01:39:59):
I not do the audio, but I did all of
these video and then all these people and then and
I've seen them do videos of them doing and then
some of them were like you know what. I remember
one person specifically is like, oh, what happened a couple
of months ago with all these challenge videos? And I
straight out replied, was like, because motherfuckers like you didn't
(01:40:21):
actually respond. I was like, yeah, pull ups, and then
I took a shot, and then I was like push
ups and then a shot on the beer. I'm like,
oh you do that ship? Huh?
Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
Those fucking high school pictures terrible?
Speaker 9 (01:40:46):
Oh yeah, because it's throwback, bro, throwback.
Speaker 3 (01:40:53):
I'm sweet those kids and the other pictures. You should
pull those up? Which ones the ones that me and
you at theta?
Speaker 9 (01:41:01):
Oh yeah, dude, your brother send that to me.
Speaker 3 (01:41:03):
Found these photos. I don't know where the fuck he
found them. Roll let's see.
Speaker 9 (01:41:08):
Uh, I gotta figure out how to pull it up
with that like just putting everything in that bit.
Speaker 3 (01:41:13):
Yeah, he was just sending me a ton of photos yesterday.
It was fucking hilarious. He just crack.
Speaker 9 (01:41:21):
You didn't ask where you got them from.
Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
No, I just was laughing because he kept sending him
to me. He sent me. He sent me so many
that I'm so embarrassed. I don't even want to put
him up. You actually are good in these, but like
he sent me other ones, I was like, you are
a beauty. You were a beautiful boy. I'll tell you
that right now. Yeah, like the way I look at
(01:41:46):
that's fine.
Speaker 9 (01:41:46):
That is also fine.
Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
We're a handsome man, now, you know. Okay, true, here
we go, I found it an idiot based and go
and then this this is.
Speaker 9 (01:42:01):
This is.
Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
Oh my gosh, sunglasses, I'll get together on a little bit.
Speaker 9 (01:42:11):
But I had to ask him.
Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
I'm like, where the fun I don't even remember this?
Where was this living room? No?
Speaker 9 (01:42:18):
No, no, I know that, But I was like, why
would we just stop?
Speaker 3 (01:42:19):
Obviously?
Speaker 5 (01:42:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:42:21):
And I was like, He's like, I think you guys
were going to Kinta or something.
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
I'm like, holy, find that fucking meme. That's not the one,
the one that Matt said, Oh.
Speaker 9 (01:42:33):
Man, I'm gonna want to post that. I want to
show you right now. But I was like, I was like,
holy ship, this was Jennifer's kinsa. I think wasn't it
you were in it?
Speaker 3 (01:42:40):
Or was it? Yeah? Yeah, I was in the I
was like, why do I look like that? And why
does he look like that? Oh my god? So good?
Confused he looked.
Speaker 5 (01:42:54):
He looked like so just like, hey, look look over here,
and I'm like, why am I this meme?
Speaker 3 (01:43:17):
Oh my god, it's amazing.
Speaker 9 (01:43:19):
I was like, it's clearly like barely even light out.
It's probably dark, but I'm like, that's the move.
Speaker 3 (01:43:42):
We were so cool. Hell yeah, it's amazing.
Speaker 9 (01:43:49):
Riots a taxi.
Speaker 3 (01:43:51):
Though, I'm ready to rock dude, James Bond. Yeah, I went,
I went full nineties and I can't tell for sure,
but this might be a chain. It is. It was
a chain. That's a that's that was a change for
all the chain with all your keys on it. You
were that we were.
Speaker 9 (01:44:14):
I posted a version of this where I photo shopped.
Speaker 3 (01:44:21):
I got many messages like, you know what. My brother
sent me this picture with the letters and it said,
when Garrett is too turned, but but by the same time,
I need to be turned to be that person.
Speaker 9 (01:44:44):
Pretty sure we were.
Speaker 5 (01:44:45):
We were.
Speaker 9 (01:44:45):
We were fourteen at that time. Because Jennifer's birthday was
in February.
Speaker 5 (01:44:49):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:44:50):
I was like, I'm not before that, we had no alcohol.
I was even offered alcohol and I said, no, oh
I was drinking there. I took a shot like the
or something nice.
Speaker 9 (01:45:02):
Yeah, I was offered. I was like, no, that's bad,
that's the devil's juice.
Speaker 3 (01:45:09):
The juice. I was like, you stay you as long
as you can.
Speaker 5 (01:45:13):
Kids.
Speaker 3 (01:45:14):
I hate I hate seeing photos of myself in high school. Why.
Some of them aren't that bad, but some of some
of them are just I'm like, what was I doing?
You know why?
Speaker 9 (01:45:29):
I mean, yeah, there are definitely some, but I was,
I was I mean, I wasn't look really good in
high school.
Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
You.
Speaker 9 (01:45:37):
This is how it worked basically in our relationships.
Speaker 3 (01:45:40):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 9 (01:45:41):
I'm talking about like this, So in our relationship, every
girl that said no to me seemed to be like
because I like Ryan in high school. Then it started
to tilt a little bit more once we got out
of high school, and well now it's different. We're entirely different.
But I was like, I mean here anymore? Well, yeah,
obviously we're fucking thirty year old. Man, I'm talking about
(01:46:06):
as a fifteen year old, where like your best friend,
some girls like, uh, you're cute, but I like him.
He's cute as also very strange. Yeah that's also not Yeah,
what's no?
Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
I was like, really really fine because you were in
those sick sunglasses. Bro, that's yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:46:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
Oh man, oh all right, we stop? Do we What happened?
How do we get there?
Speaker 5 (01:46:54):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (01:46:56):
How do we get there?
Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
Yeah? Hey, by the way, fucking whatever, Just real quick,
I told you guys that my knees fucked up, right, Yeah,
I'm pretty sure or something on my knee, Like I like,
I'm not even kidding, Like I can't. I really again,
what do you mean again. No, I mean, like like
what I did to it, like I'm pretty sure is
really bad because I still can't like walk, fuck like
(01:47:19):
I can't even I can't like I can't exercise at all,
Like I can't run, I can't do anything. It's like
my fucking like the the the any sort of impact
on my knees fucked like and then it it it'll
buckle like if I if I get too much strain
on it. God damn it sucks. I'm like really fucked up.
(01:47:42):
I gotta just see a doctor. I guess.
Speaker 9 (01:47:46):
It's almost been a year where like I did something
in my fucking finger and that barely started to heals.
I don't know, it's just how our bodies work now.
Speaker 3 (01:47:54):
Healing. Healing sucks, healing is hard. I haven't my bag.
Yesterday I sucked all down.
Speaker 9 (01:48:01):
I got up out of this chair, and I still
don't know what this is. I think I talked to
Ricky about it one time a long time ago. But
it's you know, like sometimes if you jump off of
something really tall, like there's there's a thing between you,
like your it's in like your gucc area. It just
feels like you right, like like you pinched a nerve
or something. I know he said that this happened to
(01:48:24):
him one time, so I don't know about you, but like,
absolutely it happens to me when I jump off.
Speaker 3 (01:48:28):
Something really tall.
Speaker 9 (01:48:29):
Now, like the kind of the groin muscle your gouch,
like between your balls and your butthole.
Speaker 3 (01:48:36):
No, I've never hurt my gooch.
Speaker 9 (01:48:38):
No, it feels like you like just like you get
like basically when you don't stretch like Okay, it's like
a pitch nerve. That's happened because I got out of
my fucking computer chair that I've been sitting in for hours.
Speaker 3 (01:48:54):
So let me tell you the oldest guy thing I
ever did. Check this out. I was tying my shoe
and then I sneezed at the same time. I fucking
I pulled a muscle in my back so bad I
had to stay in bed for two days.
Speaker 5 (01:49:15):
Not even.
Speaker 3 (01:49:17):
I get winded. Tie my shoes now that's been happening too, yes,
and then and then Mark, I wanted, but I want
(01:49:44):
to wear my nice high tops, man, so I gotta like,
I gotta tie them, and I'm like.
Speaker 9 (01:49:53):
The best best invention for any high top boot or
shoe is the zipper.
Speaker 3 (01:49:59):
On the side. Love it.
Speaker 9 (01:50:02):
You tie your boots up once and then you can
zip and on zip and that's it. That's all you
need now, fucking love it. My favorite my two favorite
boots have that, and I just need I need to
only buy boots like that now. Yeah, the side zipper,
all right.
Speaker 3 (01:50:20):
First story of the Ryan's leaving the can.
Speaker 9 (01:50:26):
Uh Superman reboot look like a Superman reboot is coming
from writer to Coats and producer JJ Abrams. This is
interesting for a number of different reasons. One that this
(01:50:48):
is one this has been touted as a reboot, meaning
this is not in the continuity of the DCEU as
we know it, so probably I don't believe there's anything
pointing to the direction of Henry Cavill returning in this
specific movie, and it may have zero ties to the
DCU as of now. But the interesting thing is, well,
(01:51:10):
there's a lot of interesting things, so probably new Superman.
The what they have said is that these there there
are stories out there of Superman that have not even
been touched upon.
Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
Also that this writer, I believe wrote Black Panther.
Speaker 9 (01:51:27):
And Captain and Captain America, so yes, so, and then
I believe somebody also asked us like, are we getting
a black Superman? And first of all, cool jump there,
but I think they said yes, And so we are
expected to hear something about a story of a black
Superman reboot, which is going to be very interesting that
(01:51:49):
it takes basically.
Speaker 3 (01:51:50):
A news step.
Speaker 9 (01:51:51):
It's going to be, I believe, in the same vein
of how Robert Pattinson is Batman, but technically Ben Affleck
is still Batman. It's just a different unim or, if
you will, Jared oo Joker is in the DCEU and
Joaquin Phoenix's Joker.
Speaker 3 (01:52:07):
Isn't it entirely its own thing? Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:52:10):
So I thought this was a very interesting story because
I love that they're actually going to embrace what I've
loved about the animated DC movies is that there are
their own universe and they just need to focus on
a good story and not trying to tie every little
thing together and also having horrible dialogue.
Speaker 3 (01:52:31):
Yeah, Brian, did you hear that story? No, that's why
I was Superman reboot. Uh probably probably black SUPERMANO. Okay,
I a problem with that.
Speaker 11 (01:52:48):
I mean, he's a fucking alien who cares what color?
Speaker 9 (01:52:51):
This is the interesting thing going back to like what
we're talking about earlier. I'm like, people were up in arms.
I'm like, y'all know he's not even from this planet, right, yeah, like.
Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
Is green and has and has wings? Yeah exactly, because
it's like when people tall, you know, they get the
people got up in arms about how album was supposed.
They were talking about him being mombed right. Oh yeah,
it was like talks of each Sola being bond and
I'm like, yeah, why not. He's a handsome black man,
(01:53:22):
like but he's a handsome englishman, Like, what's the fucking dude.
Speaker 9 (01:53:26):
And he was also already black. He was already black
Superman in Hobbs and Shaw.
Speaker 3 (01:53:34):
Yeah back. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:53:36):
So I was very excited about this because, I mean, one,
I think DC is starting to understand that they don't
need to be marble. They're not like they started trying
to be that way but also tweaking it in a
very bad way. Uh, but they're they're starting to understand.
It's like, yes, give us very very unique and and
(01:53:58):
and and deep characters, but just make them stand.
Speaker 3 (01:54:02):
Alone, like you i mean, yeah, they could tie, but
don't make it.
Speaker 9 (01:54:06):
Don't force it like d C. Take take for instance,
the DC animated things I was talking about. Those are
some of my favorite comic book movies. You know, whether
it's going all the way back to like Mask of
the Phantasm, I guess, all the all the Justice League
Dark and Apocalypse stuff they did the last like five
years or so.
Speaker 3 (01:54:26):
Huh Bad Blood Bad Blood.
Speaker 9 (01:54:27):
Is okay, bad bad Blood under the Red Hood fucking.
Speaker 3 (01:54:32):
Amazing. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:54:34):
So I was like, just give us good DC stories
about good DC characters, and I think they're starting to
do that.
Speaker 3 (01:54:42):
Uh, they've already started with with the Joker.
Speaker 9 (01:54:44):
I believe was was Shazama's is nice to Uh, but
we're not sure if that completely ties to the DCU
or not, because.
Speaker 3 (01:54:53):
I think, what do we say? Uh really, I'm gonna
be honest and that I don't know. I guess I
guess I'll get over a bit. But it's just it's
just it's still fresh from this like attempt for the
Justice League and this like kind of tied end universe.
That's bothering me.
Speaker 9 (01:55:07):
I'm I'm very curious about what's gonna happen with the
Snyder Zack Snyder's Justice League, because I'm like, how much
can you change?
Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
Is a good movie? We talked we talked about the
Joker in that trailer, right, maybe I.
Speaker 9 (01:55:23):
Can't remember what we get I know I brought it,
I don't remember. I can't remember what we actually got
to or not.
Speaker 3 (01:55:28):
Ever, you know, I always because I always kind of
defend that Joker because you guys hate it on I
think that's why I think we did talk about it.
We hated him in Suicide Squad. I like this version
of what I believe is gonna be.
Speaker 9 (01:55:39):
This Joker, Right, we talked about this never mind, but
but Suicide Squad Joker, I can still say. And second dick, Yeah,
the same fucking one. I don't know, maybe it's really
different based on the fucking director. This based off of
just and granted it's just this tiny sequence that you
see a trailer for. I'm like, yeah, same actor for sure,
(01:56:06):
different aura.
Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
If he might have taken and he could have just
taken a lot of the footage that was cut, different vibes.
He still sent dead animals to the fucking cast. Yeah,
but that's again operating art from the art. Did he
really do it?
Speaker 9 (01:56:25):
Would I ever want to work?
Speaker 3 (01:56:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:56:26):
Like that was like one of his like things of
like being in character the entire time of the Joker.
Speaker 3 (01:56:31):
He's in Dead Rats and used condoms to his cast members,
and I'm like, yeah, Daro is a fucking idiot. Yeah,
that's a douche move. Yes, Like, yeah, motherfucker, I'll punch
your stupid face.
Speaker 5 (01:56:47):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:56:48):
Anyway, this is what I was gonna say, yes my finger.
Speaker 5 (01:56:55):
Uh uh.
Speaker 3 (01:56:59):
I watched So I watched this like mini doc on
I don't know when it came out, but it was
about Tim Burton's Batman returns. Yes, very cool, which got
me in the mood to watch Batman today. So I
watched the eighty nine Batman today. Yeah. Nice, And I
gotta say Man holds up so fucking well. And then
(01:57:22):
and I'm really looking forward to this new Pattenson Batman
because I can see a lot of parallels between the
two Batonson.
Speaker 9 (01:57:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am. I am very excited for
for the Robert Pattinson Batman. It looks good. From everything
I've seen.
Speaker 3 (01:57:47):
I forgot how fucking good Jack Nicholson is. For fuck's sake, dude,
God damn it.
Speaker 9 (01:57:54):
He is just He's even been that one shit movie,
The Shining Fuck you.
Speaker 3 (01:58:01):
God damn dude. He's such a good joker. God Damn,
he's so good.
Speaker 9 (01:58:09):
Keaton's supposed to come back in the stupid flash movie
that I still want answers for Ezra Miller.
Speaker 3 (01:58:15):
That's right, they're not gonna addressed it.
Speaker 11 (01:58:18):
And I was like, they just slipped that ship under
the fucking run, not even on the road, dude, Like
they buried that ship in the basement.
Speaker 9 (01:58:25):
He was like drunk, and I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
We tried, We tried.
Speaker 9 (01:58:28):
There was no answer, not a single answer, just a
click and nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:58:34):
You saw him choke out a woman and then that
was it, but ended video of it where he brought
her back up and gave her a hug. Like he
was like, I didn't see that. I saw.
Speaker 9 (01:58:46):
I saw a long I didn't see that, nor have
I heard anyone talk about it. If you can find it,
please show it to me.
Speaker 3 (01:58:51):
I just want to know. I'm like, I couldn't make
it up. I'm like, pretty saw that.
Speaker 9 (01:58:57):
There could be thousands of reasons why this is the
clip that we saw, but with that as our only
piece of fucking.
Speaker 3 (01:59:06):
What happened, I saw I saw a longer version of
it where he was playing around and and like and
then she got freaked out, and then he like he
like helped her up or something. Yeah, I'd love to
see that. And it was like, that's why I never
became a thing, because they only took that snippet and
tried to fucking They tried to funk with him with
(01:59:27):
that tiny little snippet, but he was fucked up and
he was playing around and she got freaked out.
Speaker 9 (01:59:32):
But also, I've never seen that, nor have I heard
anyone say that they saw it. So that's why I
want to. I want to see it. That's that here
nor there. I am excited about Michael Keaton coming back
in the Flashpoint movie, but I don't know if it's
title Flashpoint by I'm pretty sure they said it was
Flashpoint based. Yeah, moving forward, y'all like fucking prawns, prons
(02:00:03):
like shrimp like prons, Bro, you like prawns like you.
Speaker 3 (02:00:09):
Like you like Neil Bloomkemp.
Speaker 9 (02:00:11):
What the fuck are you saying to me?
Speaker 3 (02:00:15):
Y'all?
Speaker 9 (02:00:16):
Y'all like the only good movie that districts you like?
Speaker 3 (02:00:26):
Actually, oh I love that movie by the way.
Speaker 9 (02:00:31):
Yes, yes, a lot of people do, which is I
think a lot of people are very interested.
Speaker 4 (02:00:36):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (02:00:37):
Neil bloom Camp started off in the Big Linel District nine,
which was amazing. Then he followed up with stuff like
Elicium and Chappie and everyone was like, what did you
I didn't watch it. I've seen clips. I refuse to
(02:00:57):
actually watch it because nothing in the clips makes it
look aod and everything that everyone's saying that are bringing
up specific points in the movie. Were like, this is horrible. Uh,
and I can see why, but I definitely saw. I'm like,
this is stupid. Also the fact that it was supposed
to be a Halo movie.
Speaker 3 (02:01:15):
I think I saw Lysium too. I don't really remember,
though it was with jam Yeah, I'm pretty sure I
saw that one. Either way. Coming back District.
Speaker 9 (02:01:25):
It got so bad that he was promised, uh, the
Alien franchise, and really Scott said not fuck that.
Speaker 3 (02:01:32):
Yeah, yeah that.
Speaker 5 (02:01:36):
He literally he was releasing.
Speaker 9 (02:01:42):
He released concept art of what he was gonna do
with Aliens and and really was like, fuck that Prometheus movie. Actually,
I believe that's why he made Prometheus. I don't remember
one hundred percent, but yeah, it was a while ago.
Speaker 3 (02:01:58):
This wasn't bad, dude. Everyone really ships on that one.
But I really enjoyed It's I.
Speaker 9 (02:02:02):
Don't think that it's anywhere near the vibe that you
get from Alien and Aliens. Yeah, but it is interesting
as someone like me, I like when you build up lore,
when you build up a lore, and you know, I'm
into it. But I will tell you I don't believe
(02:02:22):
that I've rewatched a Prometheus movie.
Speaker 3 (02:02:26):
I don't think I did.
Speaker 9 (02:02:32):
Yeah, you know, remembers Prometheus and then the fucking what
was the ship?
Speaker 5 (02:02:39):
That was?
Speaker 3 (02:02:40):
The ship was Prometheus. That's why it was called Prometheus.
It wasn't That wasn't Prometheus. There was a fucking some
god damn it, there's not Prometheus. The fucking handsome squid
word guy. That was Prometheus. Oh oh, I don't remember then.
I don't know. One of my.
Speaker 9 (02:03:01):
Covenant was the Alien Covenant.
Speaker 3 (02:03:06):
No, you know, because there was another Prometheus movie Alien
there was, right, Alien Covenant. Yeah, I remember Covenant.
Speaker 9 (02:03:16):
That was the sequel to Prometheus.
Speaker 3 (02:03:18):
Oh well, there you go.
Speaker 9 (02:03:21):
That's how forgettable.
Speaker 3 (02:03:22):
Good old Google, good old Google. Love it. But going
back to it, No, Blum, come stand.
Speaker 11 (02:03:31):
The Nostromo is the name of the ship and Aliens.
Speaker 9 (02:03:35):
Yeah, District nine sequel is finally in the works, according
to Neil. Now you could take this with whatever grains
of salt that you want.
Speaker 3 (02:03:44):
But he did say, uh, what was it?
Speaker 9 (02:03:47):
Maybe like a less than a week ago District ten
screen play, also being written by Charlotte Charlotte CHARLOTEU Copley.
Speaker 3 (02:03:56):
I don't know how to say his name.
Speaker 9 (02:03:57):
You know him the guys in everyone every Neil blumpcap movie.
Speaker 3 (02:04:02):
He's really cool?
Speaker 9 (02:04:04):
Uh and I it's coming so cool to that because
I will say this, if he can return to form,
I believe this will be his saving grace. If he
brings us a District ten and it is good, his
career will go back to where it should be. Because
it's very much a what have you done for me lately?
Speaker 3 (02:04:23):
Type of thing.
Speaker 9 (02:04:24):
Think of something like with his face, I'm not oh no, no, no,
hold on where where? It doesn't matter if you went
on a run, because once he started being bad, people
were like, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (02:04:38):
I'm not what he came up with? Uh?
Speaker 9 (02:04:42):
With the the first one? What with the grandparents? I
am deep am.
Speaker 3 (02:04:56):
Well, he's been producing that. He's a producer on this
show that I've been watching on Apple TV called the
called The Servant.
Speaker 9 (02:05:03):
Yeah, Ad, I'm sorry, I can't hold it on before
So the last the last two things he did before
he was basically canceled. Was The Last Airbender, which has
now oh yeah, became famously famously it doesn't exist anymore.
That was the best movie I've ever seen. We refuse
to acknowledge it.
Speaker 3 (02:05:21):
It was. It was a great Then after Earth, it
was the best adaptation of like a cartoon I've ever seen.
Speaker 9 (02:05:28):
Yeah, then he uh, then he fell off the fucking
like that was twenty thirteen. He fell off the fucking map.
And then in twenty sixteen came back with.
Speaker 3 (02:05:38):
Split Split That's what was That was his redemption.
Speaker 9 (02:05:42):
Yeah, and that's when he did uh that that end scene. Uh,
I guess no news with the character from the other one,
which led into Glass. Of course, you said the servant
or whatever.
Speaker 3 (02:05:57):
The servant he's but he's a producer on and I
think he directed a couple episodes. But god man, that
show is wild.
Speaker 9 (02:06:09):
So it's like, like, this is so crazy how it
goes like he went on a run with sixth sense,
Unbreakable signs. Then the village was kind of weird. Then
Lady of the Water sucked, then the Happening sucked, and
then the movie that Shall Not be Named, and then
after Earth and people are like, what the fuck happened? Yeah,
(02:06:29):
and then he did the exact same thing that I'm
saying Neil Bloomkemp could do and went back to his
roots and he came out with Split that ties into
obviously one of those movies that I said was good. Yeah,
and like, yeah, you know whatever, you're there. I'm excited
because I really loved District nine. I'm going to hold
(02:06:53):
off on this story for Ricky because it's.
Speaker 3 (02:06:56):
A great movie. But I hope they don't do the
found footage type thing the way they did if they're
gonna do this sequel, Oh, District ten. Yeah, because District
nine was like a found footage type movie.
Speaker 9 (02:07:07):
Yes, And and I didn't even think about that until
you brought it up. I don't know how i'd feel,
to be honest, I really don't.
Speaker 3 (02:07:15):
It would bother me. We're over this, We're over this, uh,
found footage, found footage type ship.
Speaker 9 (02:07:20):
Yeah, what is the last found footage thing that you
you can think of?
Speaker 6 (02:07:24):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:07:25):
That was good?
Speaker 9 (02:07:26):
And and and and to be honest, it's like, yeah,
I don't know. I'm trying to think what's what are
the I don't know, what can you think of one.
Speaker 3 (02:07:36):
That the last one that I watched that was good. Yeah,
Paranormal Activity? Have you seen all of them? I watched
the first three? Three, I don't know. There was that
Mexican one like took place on like Boyle Heights. I
(02:07:58):
didn't watch that one. I didn't watch that one either,
Bad Night, No Paranormagic. What was the last?
Speaker 7 (02:08:06):
Oh you know what?
Speaker 3 (02:08:07):
Fucking no that came out before though? What was the
last good found footage movie you've we watched? Rick Blair Witch?
Speaker 9 (02:08:16):
That was the last one?
Speaker 11 (02:08:21):
I mean yeah, I guess like the first paranoral Activity.
Speaker 3 (02:08:24):
After that they kind of decided ship.
Speaker 9 (02:08:27):
When's the last what's the last Paranormal Activity movie you saw?
Because I like the last or the first two or
three at least I.
Speaker 3 (02:08:34):
Think I watched the first two. I don't think I
watched the third one. No, I the first one I
watched all. I watched the first three, the third one
fucking ate Ship though, I'm pretty sure only saw the
first one.
Speaker 9 (02:08:49):
I don't watch her movies though, So Yeah, I mean,
but we were saying District nine has that fan footage
sort of feeling and it's not horror.
Speaker 3 (02:08:59):
Does remember that? Yeah, it's it's him feeling like a documentary.
It's like a documentary style, and he talked to the camera.
Oh never actually, never mind, hold on, hold on, there
was something I watched recently.
Speaker 9 (02:09:12):
VHS was good.
Speaker 3 (02:09:15):
What's the Colorofield? Yeah, that came before. Oh shit, okay.
VHS one one and two were great.
Speaker 9 (02:09:25):
The VHS two was in two and thirteen, so that that's.
Speaker 3 (02:09:28):
The most been the last one that the last found
footage type movie that I really enjoyed. But I guess,
I guess this is a different vein of like a
docu docuseries type thing documentary, so that makes it a
little different. I guess, I guess, I mean barely. I
think found footage is like we found like I think
the first one that hit it big was Blair Witch,
(02:09:51):
where it's like we found this tape.
Speaker 9 (02:09:53):
It is actual found footage and that's why it's that
versus like the like the the office type where it's
like it's just kind of a documentary.
Speaker 3 (02:10:02):
Yeah, yeah, you're trying to look up these.
Speaker 9 (02:10:07):
VHS two is probably the last one in two and thirteen.
Speaker 3 (02:10:11):
I mean, I guess Bort would be the last doctor.
What we do in the Shadows, Yeah, yeah, the Shadows
and fourteen. Yeah, I'll take that. That is the answer.
Speaker 9 (02:10:25):
The answer is what we do in the Shadow is
the movie, you are correct, and also the fucking series,
which is amazing. Huh, what we do in the Shadow
is the series.
Speaker 3 (02:10:37):
Of course, I'm about to fucking.
Speaker 9 (02:10:39):
Really I need you to understand how bad I mean
mad right now?
Speaker 3 (02:10:48):
Man? Have you seen it? There's these videos.
Speaker 9 (02:10:54):
When I was younger, I thought they're really cool. They're
called c ky Have you seen those?
Speaker 10 (02:10:59):
I'm sorry, I really thought that was a joke, because
you know, I've been talking about it for fucking years.
Speaker 11 (02:11:12):
Was like the first one to talk about it before
we got on board.
Speaker 3 (02:11:16):
No, I saw the movie first. I told you guys,
watched the movie.
Speaker 9 (02:11:19):
That's why I tied it to Ricky is because he talked.
He told us about the movie.
Speaker 3 (02:11:22):
I don't believe that. I've been talking about the show
when it came out. I told you the first episode
was Yeah, I was I was a movie. Ryan was
a show. I watched that show when it premiered to
tell you how great it was.
Speaker 9 (02:11:43):
Have you seen it?
Speaker 5 (02:11:44):
Ryan?
Speaker 3 (02:11:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (02:11:50):
I've been stuck in my house for a year. My
brain doesn't work anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:11:57):
Because that's dude, that's like the third time in a
row that you've done this too. Have you watched this
thing that I just realized, Oh you mean the thing
I've been talking about for the past four fucking years.
Speaker 4 (02:12:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:12:17):
Nice? All right? Yeah, I was trying to pull up
a clip, but it would take a lot for me
to figure out what it was. It was. I'm gonna
kill you, Sampson.
Speaker 7 (02:12:41):
I'm sorry, Samson, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Samson.
Speaker 3 (02:12:52):
I'm forring.
Speaker 9 (02:12:56):
All right, We're gonna move forward, you guys.
Speaker 3 (02:12:59):
I was waiting for Ricky for this one. Okay.
Speaker 9 (02:13:03):
I feel like I feel like you should have seen
this news, and I'm very happy about it.
Speaker 3 (02:13:09):
I'm gonna pull up some sound for this one, though.
Uh is this what I want? Sure? I'll take that.
Speaker 9 (02:13:23):
You guys, if you're a fan of Nickelodeon's Avatar, the
Last Airbender and Legend Korrara, you are going to be
excited because the creators of said property are returning to
Nickelodeon after leaving the project from Netflix, where they're doing
a live action thing and Emma Shamn Lama Dam and
(02:13:45):
Ding Dong's thing where that doesn't exist anymore, and they are.
Speaker 3 (02:13:49):
Creating the greatest adaptation.
Speaker 9 (02:13:52):
Avatar Studios dedicated to expanding the Avatar the Last Eberdy universe.
They have promised new series, they have promise new movies
animated mind you, and I can't think of of some
better news that I've gotten recently in all honestly as
far as entertainment goes.
Speaker 3 (02:14:12):
And there, I mean, when this news.
Speaker 11 (02:14:14):
Comes to bad news of the Netflix one is still
going on without.
Speaker 9 (02:14:18):
Them, Yes, but that was not, at least not for me,
not news. They left because they said they're not following
our vision.
Speaker 11 (02:14:26):
And I was like, oh no, but that was yeah,
which means it's probably gonna be terrible. That's still coming out.
Speaker 3 (02:14:31):
I know I'm not gonna I'll give it a dry Yeah,
me too.
Speaker 9 (02:14:37):
I mean, I've always said this, And as much as
I hate on Ryan's favorite adaptation from.
Speaker 3 (02:14:43):
A cartoon to a movie, I don't know if that is.
I never heard of it.
Speaker 9 (02:14:48):
I know, I just heard him talk about I've never
seen it all time. I think him and then that
movie and the what we do in the Shadow series,
they all live in a box together where I don't
but because of its existence, it doesn't matter, even though
it doesn't exist. But I'm just saying I still love
(02:15:10):
the series. I love Avatar, the Last Airbender, the original series.
I love Cora, and I love what I see from
the comics. I haven't gotten the comics, but I do
love that world, and I love what they've created in
the story they're telling and the lore. And I'm very
happy that the creators are not only signed on to
a project, but have created a studio that will bring
(02:15:34):
us more of the content that I believe our fandom
has been craving.
Speaker 3 (02:15:40):
And this music is really getting to me and I
love it.
Speaker 11 (02:15:43):
I just I've had to shut off my new airpod's case.
Nice cool, Actually, what did you get up his brains?
Speaker 3 (02:15:53):
And then it's her every time?
Speaker 11 (02:16:00):
Yeah, I mean that's that's I mean, yeah, I'm I'm
definitely excited for it, but I'm just kind of.
Speaker 3 (02:16:10):
The hell I have hard hard to see hardest. It
looks like a starving kid have a way do you
have a cancer patient painting?
Speaker 9 (02:16:24):
He's a monk first and foremost. He shaves his head
and he turns into the Avatar.
Speaker 3 (02:16:30):
In the Avatar state called dude, don't be so insensitive.
Speaker 9 (02:16:36):
I will say this one of the things that bugs
me the most about Ryan is that he refuses to
even look into getting into this fandom.
Speaker 3 (02:16:45):
Yeah, I don't agree. I know you haven't watched this ship, motherfucker.
Yeah yeah, because my favorite movie is the one that
light shamal On dead. I know that movie doesn't do
their shows justice. No, that show doesn't do the movie justice.
Speaker 9 (02:17:07):
Okay, right, well, I guess we can agree to. Oh no,
Ryan's gone.
Speaker 3 (02:17:16):
Be Doug came in, pulled the plug.
Speaker 9 (02:17:19):
Doug came in and said, right right, Doug.
Speaker 11 (02:17:21):
Came over all the chords.
Speaker 3 (02:17:24):
About to get naked right now. Is that your reaction
to that? Because I wanted you to bring me back naked.
Speaker 9 (02:17:33):
I can see you when you're off.
Speaker 3 (02:17:36):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 9 (02:17:38):
I was like, I don't know if you've ever used
stream yard, I can see you.
Speaker 3 (02:17:45):
No, I don't know, man, I just I just haven't.
I don't know. Like, just give another, try, to give
another try. I never I never not give I was.
I watched it really fucked up one time, and then
I was like it a first of all, oh, you
did give it a you did check it out. Yeah,
but I was like really hammered, and I was like,
this is kind of cool. And then I passed out.
Speaker 11 (02:18:06):
Don't be fucked up. I mean, you can drink, just
don't get fucked up.
Speaker 3 (02:18:09):
Yeah, this is something I put on to like pass
out to you know, I gotta I canna actually watch him.
I mean, I got I got time. Now I'll put
it on. The entire city gets so fucking good man.
Speaker 9 (02:18:22):
The entire series and then the sequel series is under Okay,
my haircut.
Speaker 11 (02:18:29):
Looks like I've been like hiding in the fire nation
for a little while. You know, so quick, it's been
like actually three months to the time.
Speaker 3 (02:18:38):
I did it. Wow, thanks, oh ship.
Speaker 11 (02:18:45):
Yeah, it's kind of afraid that.
Speaker 3 (02:18:46):
You know, there's gonna be a little ball spots, you know,
scalp check.
Speaker 9 (02:18:55):
Ryan left it the worst time because I really have
to pee right now. Yeah, either way, Avatar Studios, I'm
very excited about. Yes, I mean, this I believe is
indirect response to the fact that Netflix is can we here?
Speaker 3 (02:19:16):
Can we?
Speaker 9 (02:19:16):
Here's conversation?
Speaker 3 (02:19:18):
Everybody should have.
Speaker 9 (02:19:24):
Give me like.
Speaker 3 (02:19:27):
A right, So we were talking about all you guys
are trying to listen to me. Well no, no, oh no,
I love green screens.
Speaker 4 (02:19:47):
There we go.
Speaker 3 (02:19:48):
Yeah, No, I have some I have a couple of
friends coming over so that they want to play cards
against humanity. How nice.
Speaker 9 (02:19:55):
So we were just saying that, like, yes, this is
in direct response to the creator is not liking the
direction of the Netflix thing. But like I said, we
the consumer are seemingly are going to benefit from it.
Who knows, maybe this new take Netflix is doing could
be wildly different but also good in a different way.
(02:20:17):
That's a very optimistic point of view, but possible. I
don't know exactly how it would be that way, but
I would be I'm gonna give it a try. But
I'm very excited about what's going going to happen with
the Avatar studios going back to Netflix, with the creators
as the people who are starting this as opposed to
just on board.
Speaker 3 (02:20:40):
Yeah, I totally agree, yeah going forward.
Speaker 14 (02:20:44):
This is the reason that I made the thumbnail what
it is, because you guys, and I want to talk
to Ryan about this because I know he has some
shit going on in this same realm.
Speaker 3 (02:20:58):
A beer though, Okay, all right, next door, let's do
That's cool. I'll be right here. Take me like two
seconds go go.
Speaker 9 (02:21:11):
Now, we're gonna wait, let's do this.
Speaker 3 (02:21:20):
It's rain, right, it's not letting up.
Speaker 5 (02:21:23):
I know you.
Speaker 3 (02:21:26):
Captain out here.
Speaker 9 (02:21:28):
I'm surprised you don't have an umbrella over here.
Speaker 3 (02:21:31):
It's just the window behind me, you know.
Speaker 9 (02:21:33):
Oh god, I got it. That makes a lot more sense.
I was like, why is your commuter in the rain
in San Ponsocchio? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:21:43):
The fuck is that? Is that pizza? You guys ready
for this?
Speaker 9 (02:21:52):
You know it's coming.
Speaker 3 (02:21:55):
You know what's coming? Grooves right. I was like, Ryan
doesn't even have his headphones. Can you hear us?
Speaker 9 (02:22:06):
Do you have us on speaker and your headphones?
Speaker 3 (02:22:08):
No? I have you really loud, and I have four
headphones in here, so I can hear you from all
the other headphones on. I can turn them off.
Speaker 9 (02:22:19):
But I was just I was like, how do you
hears with yours? Though?
Speaker 3 (02:22:23):
Yeah, the other headphones? And yeah, well I guess what's coming?
You guess he is coming in your mouse. Halo TV series.
Speaker 9 (02:22:38):
Is coming to Showtime, coming from Showtime to Paramount Plus.
Just in case you were thinking, fuck, I don't have
enough options for streaming services. But at the same time,
this is something that I love more than the idea
that we were gonna We're supposed to get a movie
(02:23:01):
back in the day and then instead got Elysium. But
I believe every major property that comes from a video
game or a book right now benefits more from a
streaming series then it does a movie. And the reason
why is you have look at the Mandalorian look at
stuff like this where you can just like take your
(02:23:22):
time and flesh out your plots and your characters and include.
Speaker 3 (02:23:27):
Just as much action, just as much of value as
you would a movie. But we just you appreciate it more. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:23:37):
Yeah, And something like Halo has an amazing story that
I think would be perfect for something like this, because
I'll be honest, there's not even even in the games,
it doesn't vary.
Speaker 3 (02:23:49):
Deeply into the stuff that is in that world. And
I'm very excited to see what they do about it.
What I don't like is that it is on Paramount Plus,
which I doubt i'd ever get. Yeah. Yeah, definitely not
going to get Paramount plus.
Speaker 9 (02:24:04):
Yeah, but excited this exists.
Speaker 3 (02:24:08):
I will maybe find a way.
Speaker 9 (02:24:10):
Who knows, maybe one of my friends will get Paramount
Plus and I'll get access.
Speaker 3 (02:24:13):
But either way, this is some good news. I huh,
If it's that good, I might get it, you know,
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (02:24:22):
Yeah, maybe I was gonna say, we are all big
Halo fans, and one of us even has some sort
of Halo competition coming up.
Speaker 3 (02:24:30):
Is that correct? This Friday? Yeah, we had We had
to reschedule it because who were battling. These guys are
in Houston, so they had a blackout last week, so
we had why the gotta be black But so we
ended up just kind of giving them a break so
we can beat their asses on Friday. Boom nice Halo
(02:24:56):
three battle some other characters have to survive COVID Halo
five my bad.
Speaker 9 (02:25:03):
Yeah, Like if it was three, Ritty and I would
be in there and you would win. Yeah, I'm not
saying you're not gonna win, but I'm just saying you
would definitely win if if it was Halo three.
Speaker 3 (02:25:13):
I tell you, I'm like, I have like this much confidence.
But also I don't know how good those guys are.
Like I don't know how bad they are, you know
what I mean? Like it's you Steve, and you said
Casey's brother, right, yeah, and uh and our other friend
but like Steve's but Steve's friends has a friend and
(02:25:34):
Bartay is like a giant nerd oh yeah, he's like
he's like killer at fucking Halo. So is Tyler though,
and so is my friend Edwin. So we got a
few ringers and uh and I've been doing okay, but
I'm like, I don't know, I don't know how good
they are as a squad. I guess you know. Yeah,
(02:25:54):
is he gonna be streaming on twitch? Okay? Cool? Friday?
Speaker 5 (02:26:02):
What time?
Speaker 3 (02:26:06):
I think?
Speaker 9 (02:26:07):
I think six p s t okay? And it's is
it Who's twitch is gonna be.
Speaker 3 (02:26:13):
On both of us? I'm gonna have it on mine?
Ryan P. Demarest and then and also old old man
gamer on on Twitch. Nice? Nice? And then it's it's
gonna mind is gonna be my squad? His n is
gonna be his.
Speaker 9 (02:26:28):
It's gonna be up after right, you can rewatch it?
Speaker 3 (02:26:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (02:26:31):
Yeah, cool? Because uh, I want to check it out.
But I don't know how busy will be on Friday.
I do have to be really bad beer back, go
for it. Yeah, say this series? Yeah, I mean it
sounds it sounds cool.
Speaker 3 (02:26:50):
But wasn't there fucking wasn't wasn't there like an animated
Halo movie or something back in the day.
Speaker 11 (02:26:59):
In the early I don't know, they've always like done
the live action stuff, but all it's always been like
just like small, like the games coming, but they looked amazing,
So just like.
Speaker 3 (02:27:09):
I want that yeah longer. Yeah, I don't know, fuck
up some aliens. Yeah, I don't know. Like Halo, Halo's
lore is like pretty interesting and just the the whole
concept of it, I feel like people can really get
(02:27:30):
carried away with it, you know, it's like, yeah, absolutely
a lot of wiggle room. Yeah, for sure. I think
they had like a comic book too. Yeah, you can
really well a great story, but just the just the
concept art really it's like, I mean, it's it's such
a blank that's it's like an easy slate for anybody
to just to come in and tell a great story.
(02:27:52):
And it's not like it's not like if you know
what I mean, like how many like how much do
you really care if they go through like the storyline
and the lore, right, it's like they can just kind
of take that and just put it into a whole
new you know, not universe, but just they have all
the right tools to put together a great uh yeah
(02:28:16):
fucking New Journey storyline whatever. Yeah, exactly, even with master Chief,
they could fucking do it with you know.
Speaker 11 (02:28:24):
So, yeah, they've done like ODST and which is a
great game, and you know a few others where they
just you know, they completely separate it from Master Chief
and it's just in that same universe.
Speaker 3 (02:28:34):
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, they just built the world. That's the
cool thing about the games these games is like they've
built this world, but like you know, the journey is
kind of just how you play it, you know.
Speaker 11 (02:28:46):
Yeah, Yeah, I loved ODST as a game. You know,
I had nothing to do that one. It's a great game.
It's in the master Chief collection.
Speaker 3 (02:28:58):
It out. I do have it. I guess I'll try
it up. All right, what have we gotten next? All right?
Speaker 5 (02:29:05):
So that was kind of it.
Speaker 9 (02:29:07):
As far as like the major stories, I did want
to say, like there were some cool things that popped
up as far as trailers, but they were more like
Netflix animated stuff, one being a Pacific Rim the Black trailer,
So that's going to be like, I don't know, the
Pacific Rim anime style on Netflix is really cool.
Speaker 3 (02:29:28):
That's one thing I wanted to bring up was Michael B.
Speaker 9 (02:29:31):
Jordan did an anime style uh series with Rooster Teeth
who are behind you know you Red Versus Blue Ruby.
If you watched that Death Battle, I believe they're also behind.
But they did it in partnership and it's on HBO
Max right now. The first season the last year, so
(02:29:54):
there's they're still working on the second season. So but
the first season is on HBO Max and it's called
j Locke.
Speaker 4 (02:30:00):
It is.
Speaker 3 (02:30:02):
It's pretty fun. I enjoyed a lot. It's not very.
Speaker 9 (02:30:07):
Not very like adult themed, I guess you could say,
but it is very it's pretty fun.
Speaker 3 (02:30:10):
You have Michael B.
Speaker 9 (02:30:12):
Jordan, you have Dakota Fanning in there, you have David
Tennant in there, which is pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (02:30:16):
What are we talking about? Jena Locke. It's Michael B.
Speaker 9 (02:30:19):
Jordan's anime style show that he did with Rooster Teeth
and it's on HBO Max.
Speaker 3 (02:30:24):
Now.
Speaker 9 (02:30:25):
Tom and Jerry dude, Okay, so here's the thing. My
my friend, you guys know mom, and he sent me
the trailer seemingly very excited, and all I could be
was like, okay, I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever
been into Tom and Jerry. I don't know if it's
different for you two.
Speaker 3 (02:30:47):
I love Tom and Jerry. Yeah, cartoon for sure, but
this is like.
Speaker 11 (02:30:53):
I was just kidding us so late in the game,
like it's just like, why is this even a fucking thing.
Speaker 3 (02:31:01):
It's it's very very whyish, but you know, I mean
it's it's too in my opinion, it's it's it's just
to get you know, younger generations into these old cartoons
that you love, you.
Speaker 9 (02:31:13):
Know, and that I guess I mean, in all honesty,
you could say the same thing for not the exact
same thing, but same thing for song Hedgehog and I
love the song.
Speaker 3 (02:31:25):
Absolutely. I mean, it's it's like these lineback cartoon movies.
They did the Looney Tunes Unleash, they did Space Jam.
You know, it's kind of the same idea.
Speaker 9 (02:31:32):
I'll be honest, And this is something very interesting. Space
Jam would be if Space Jam came out today, Well, no,
that's not the exact same thing. If we had the
internet back in the day, I think Space Jam would
get talked about similarly to how Tom and Jerry is now,
because I didn't really I kind of grew up on
(02:31:53):
the Looney Tunes, but it was still a little bit earlier.
I think it's the same area as Tom and Jerry.
But Space Jam was like that, and and what was
it Roger Rabbit are like, whoa, I didn't even do this,
but but.
Speaker 3 (02:32:07):
It was all hand animated.
Speaker 9 (02:32:09):
Now you get the c g I stuff, and I think,
are we we kind of have a bad taste in
our mouth because of stuff like chipmunks and smurfs. But
I believe that's starting to change a little bit. I
don't know. I haven't seen Tom and Jerry, but again,
like I said, I'm not the target audience because I
never really cared about them.
Speaker 3 (02:32:26):
I fucking love Tom and Jerry because it's it's itchy
and scratchy. That's it's it's just but you know it's
it's it's slapstick. It's stupid. It's just the same reason
I love you know, Three Stooges and that kind of
classic just slapstick bullshit. The just the the absurdity of
(02:32:48):
of I mean, maniacal torture that this mouse does to
this cat. It's just it's hilarious. It's so funny. I
don't know. I mean, like I can still watch Tom,
like I was watching Tom and Jerry with my niece
is not too long ago. Just busting fish, fucking busting
up man. We're all laughing because it's just the dumbest
(02:33:09):
it's just so fun. It's just and that's all it is.
It's just the fucking cat chasing the mouse and the
and the mouse beating the shit out of him. It's
just that's as simple as that. And it's hilarious. Yeah. Yeah,
it's just like if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Speaker 9 (02:33:25):
You know, Are you gonna watch it?
Speaker 3 (02:33:28):
What? Tom and Jerry? Yeah, I was scheduling a movie
night with me and the girls so that I can
watch it.
Speaker 9 (02:33:33):
Nice, awesome. It looks like like a fine movie.
Speaker 3 (02:33:38):
I mean, and they'll love it, you know, And I
want to you know, I just whatever. I love Tom
Jerry and then it looks stupid, but you know, watch
I want to watch what the kids?
Speaker 9 (02:33:46):
Yeah, I just have no tie to it.
Speaker 3 (02:33:48):
Like Sonic. I love Sonic as a kid. I haven't
watched son I think.
Speaker 9 (02:33:54):
I don't even know if you guys know this, but
my first console ever was a Second Genesis and the
the the only games I remember playing the most were
The Lion King, which I never caught past like level three.
Speaker 3 (02:34:06):
Three. Yeah. Yeah, vector Man. I think vector Man.
Speaker 9 (02:34:14):
Should have some sort of of of resurgence because there's
there's some stuff behind there. It was so stupid, Like,
if you think about it, the enemy was like a
robot that instead of its head, it put a warhead
on its head, and all of a sudden it was
evil able, bad guy because I have a nuclear warhead
for a brain.
Speaker 3 (02:34:33):
And then uh, Sonic games some buthead Genesis game best.
Speaker 9 (02:34:40):
Yeah, so I remember too, the first time ever I
never had a game Genie, but Sonic and Knuckles made
it so that you could put another Sonic game on
top of it and then stack them and then you
got Knuckles in the Sonic game. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
weird the way that worked out, Like I had a
Genesis that was this tall because I just.
Speaker 3 (02:35:00):
Stacked the flat a game A game, Jenny, Yeah, it
was it game Jenny was it was for all the
cheat codes, right, yeah? I think so?
Speaker 9 (02:35:10):
Yeah yeah, but that's why Shark, Yeah, that's why I
had a tie to Sonic the Hedgehog. I loved Shog
and then of course the cartoon, which I loved featuring
Jalil White who was a fucking ercle Stephen Klea.
Speaker 3 (02:35:28):
So that was pretty fun, that's right.
Speaker 9 (02:35:31):
So uh yeah, Tom, Jerry, I would love to hear
what Ryan thinks about it, as as a fan.
Speaker 3 (02:35:38):
It's just a kids movie, dude, I don't fucking I
don't want to think about. I talked only to think about.
I'm just saying I'm not gonna shoot on the kids.
You know, I'm just gonna watch it with the keyids.
Speaker 9 (02:35:53):
I would say the same thing that I didn't see Sonic,
but you didn't know.
Speaker 3 (02:35:57):
I haven't seen it yet. Oh, I haven't seen Sonic,
I said, I really wanted to, and I and I
and I thought it looked great. What is it on?
It's I would it's on something I think. I don't
think so I had to rent it on Prime if
I wanted to. It's on Hulu. I don't know Hulu
right now.
Speaker 9 (02:36:17):
Oh and Amazon Prime for free?
Speaker 3 (02:36:22):
Click on it? Not for free? If you have Prime
for free, No damn, it's playing. I'm watching that bitch tonight.
Speaker 9 (02:36:29):
Then yeah, it's bad jog Prime feel free. All right,
we're gonna wrap this portion of it and and if
we want to, we're gonna get into this right now.
You guys know what it is and who's fault it
fucking was. If you haven't seen WandaVision or are not
(02:36:58):
wanding watching, or you don't give a fuck about or
if you care about schoolers at all, get the fuck
out of here right now, because it's about to be
some WandaVision time, y'all. Five four three two one, All right,
(02:37:18):
you guys. So we didn't talk about last week, right, and.
Speaker 3 (02:37:21):
That was the uh that was the point where I
still talk about it after I left.
Speaker 9 (02:37:26):
We did not No, that was the episode where she
went down the basement.
Speaker 3 (02:37:31):
Right y yep? Wait, okay, cool? Yeah, y yes at
the end.
Speaker 9 (02:37:37):
Uh uh, that's actually where we got the song, though
I don't.
Speaker 3 (02:37:43):
Yeah, it was a reveal, the big reveal.
Speaker 9 (02:37:46):
Which was like the best thing, which is why I
made the song in the first place. And then Ryan's like,
I gotta go. Yeah, but uh yeah, of course WandaVision
has just been hitting and hard.
Speaker 3 (02:38:00):
In my opinion, Steve made me small swallow my words
about everything I said about it right at the beginning.
Speaker 9 (02:38:08):
Why what happened?
Speaker 3 (02:38:09):
He just wanted to talk shit because I was I
was like so into it now at this point. Oh
you weren't in the beginning, No, yeah, right, hated it.
I hated the first episode. Oh that's right. Yeah, no, dude,
we got this big thing.
Speaker 9 (02:38:23):
I'm like people don't remember how to watch fucking TV anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:38:27):
That's not what it was. I told you I didn't
like it.
Speaker 9 (02:38:32):
I don't you know, I have holes in my brain.
Speaker 3 (02:38:36):
I said it felt flat. I thought it was very flat.
I thought I thought that we would get more reveals
real early on. So that way me and I said,
all I was watching was like a bad, poorly written
fucking Lucy you know Lucy episode where the actors didn't
and it was just very awkward, and I didn't like it.
Speaker 9 (02:38:53):
Okay, yeah, I think we all agreed with it and
some points for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think what
it was was I'm glad they give us two. I
think it would have been a lot better for the
overall audiences they gave us three, because once you get
to number three, then you're like, okay, now I kind
of see what's going on. Yeah, and then four blows
(02:39:15):
it wide open, and then we you know, not wide open,
but it's like, okay, now it's Marvel, now it's you.
And it was a very good experiment and interesting, and
then going back every I'll still.
Speaker 3 (02:39:27):
Stand by what I said. I mean, really like, my
only gripe was that was that they didn't get into
this shit sooner, you.
Speaker 9 (02:39:33):
Know, understandable because I mean a casual viewer, like let's
say Jeanette, I was like, just watch like the first
two episodes. She's like, I want I'm in five minutes
in them out.
Speaker 3 (02:39:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:39:45):
I was like, all right, well, if that's I mean
she does she has zero patients. It's very interesting how
much she keeps up with or like puts up with me,
because she has the least amount of patients I've ever
met a person.
Speaker 3 (02:39:57):
But yeah, uh, none of us understand. I don't even
know our friends. I don't know. I gotta spell.
Speaker 9 (02:40:10):
I gotta spell on you, bro?
Speaker 3 (02:40:11):
Are you gotta spell on me?
Speaker 9 (02:40:12):
Maybe that's what it is. You know what.
Speaker 3 (02:40:23):
You're just back there with your pretty, pretty purple outfit, dude,
I gotta tell you, man, the little purple spells and stuff.
It's uh. I love it.
Speaker 5 (02:40:33):
I love it.
Speaker 9 (02:40:34):
I love Catherine Hunt so much. I'm ashamed to say
that I haven't seen more of her work outside of
the comedies that she's been in. I was like, she's
good actress and all this other stuff. I didn't love
her in Anchorman and Stepbrother.
Speaker 3 (02:40:48):
Did you ever see the good.
Speaker 9 (02:40:51):
Oh with Jeremy Piven, right, yeah, yeah, Well they're all
sal a long time ago, and I was very disappointed
because I was at the height of my Entourage's.
Speaker 3 (02:41:04):
It's a fuck It's it was one of those movies
that like would be so fucking canceled now you know,
it's no that I remember saying. I was like, this
is weird, like actually offensive, and it's so but it's funny. Man,
I don't know. She's trying to God, what's the guy's name,
the actress name that guy?
Speaker 9 (02:41:23):
Oh, I don't know, but lived hard, so hard. And
I think the only reason Jeremy Piven got this role
because of Entourage, because he's basically paying Ari Gold.
Speaker 3 (02:41:34):
Yeah pretty much. Yeah, but I remember watching him like
this is not good. This is I'm not having a
good time anyway. Well, she's in that movie. She's in
that movie. He's trying to get the pal guy drunk.
But he's like a giant retard so like legitimately so
so it's just but she's like super she's like super
(02:41:56):
attracted to him, but he's he's just so brain dead
and and like but he's just a giant kid. So
it's really bad taste. I guess, but I thought it
was and I find that so interesting.
Speaker 9 (02:42:09):
But you have to think of how fast things are
going in our society and why I still think.
Speaker 3 (02:42:15):
It's funny, you know, like I could, I could, I
can take what appreciate things.
Speaker 9 (02:42:21):
But like I said, when I was watching on Some Powers,
I'm like, fuck, this is funny, but also, fuck this
is kind of fucked up. I can tell why it's
fucked up, but I'm still laughing because I watched it
before I knew that this was fucked up.
Speaker 5 (02:42:33):
But also but.
Speaker 3 (02:42:34):
Also it's a parody of those James Bond movies, So
you got to understand that it's not it's it's a envelope,
but because those movies were already doing that, so it's
just kind of heightening. It's it's basically put in a
spotlight on what was already done. So it's not absolutely,
like you said, parody and they're not good.
Speaker 9 (02:42:53):
But either way, none of those fucking scary movie date
movie epic movie things would come out now for sure.
Speaker 3 (02:43:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (02:43:00):
I mean one of the greatest movies by far is
Trapic Thunder, just because of Robert Energy.
Speaker 12 (02:43:04):
That movie is.
Speaker 9 (02:43:06):
That was the exact commentary on it. So that that
is like, it was like, this is ridiculous, and that's
why people were trying to cancel Robert It.
Speaker 3 (02:43:17):
It's so funny, dude.
Speaker 9 (02:43:19):
I found it would never come out. Now Simple Jack.
People are mad because I saw some of the Simple
Jack and they were like, it's.
Speaker 3 (02:43:34):
A great movie. The thing is, you know, we've talked
about it so many times, but I've talked about sometimes.
Speaker 9 (02:43:40):
There's no chance another movie like that will come out.
Speaker 3 (02:43:44):
Well no, but why Here's the reason though. It's just
everyone is afraid of just the simple idea or just
the just It's it's like they're not seeing the bigger picture.
They're not seeing what the joke is. You know. It's
that that because because I think they should still do
shit like that, because it's it's the point is that
it's so ridiculous that the ship is actually happening. We're
(02:44:08):
putting we're you know, we're it's the parody. It's it's
the fucking it's it's it's just putting a fucking microscope
under all these ridiculous actors and these ridiculous things that
Hollywood does. That's what that movie is. And people are
missing the point. They're looking at the act and not
the concept, you know, the whole fucking the bigger picture,
the joke. They're not even seeing what the joke is.
(02:44:29):
They're just saying they're seeing the offensive act, you know.
Speaker 9 (02:44:33):
Yeah, and that, Yeah, it's weird that like this the
newer age or whatever people like, I don't know, they
just don't understand nuance.
Speaker 3 (02:44:44):
But that's what's frustrating. It's it's because I don't think.
I don't think. Look, things can still can be you know, equally,
it can be on the border of offensive as long
as they're funny.
Speaker 4 (02:44:57):
You know.
Speaker 3 (02:44:58):
In my opinion, I.
Speaker 9 (02:44:59):
Think I think the main thing that people are are
is intention like why was this made?
Speaker 3 (02:45:05):
Like and that's that's what I'm saying. People are missing context.
It's like everyone just wants to look at you know,
these these trigger words, these these trigger ideas, these things
that like it's like you you know, I mean, but
it's it's just it's so out there and you know,
you just kind of miss the point. It's like it's
just you know, here's the point, here's the point, here's
(02:45:27):
the action, and then here's you fucking missing all of it.
You know.
Speaker 9 (02:45:29):
It's just yeah, but I mean at the same time,
like I think it even ties back to cancel culture,
where someone sees something and just runs with it way
too hard, you know, Like because at the same time,
I don't like to say things that I used to
say because I understand that they do have effect on people,
whether it's an intention or not, because it shouldn't be
part of my vernacular in that term or in that way. However,
(02:45:53):
going back to like jokes and stuff, I agree with
you and wholeheartedly, Like there's so many things where I'm like,
you guys just don't understand it is being what the
intent is. But like, yeah, so it's it's nuanced and conversation,
which people just don't do.
Speaker 3 (02:46:07):
Like Blazing Saddles is one that's always been that's getting
under the microscope too. Like it's like but it's like
people don't understand that's an anti racist movie, the movie at.
Speaker 9 (02:46:16):
The time right now, to go back and all these
old things.
Speaker 3 (02:46:25):
Anymore they're trying to take.
Speaker 9 (02:46:30):
I'm sorry, Like I think there was an actual story
within a year or so. I can't remember who somebody
tried to cancel somebody who was dead.
Speaker 3 (02:46:37):
Yeah, I don't remember who was I forgot I know
what you're talking. I was like, they're dead. What do
you what? You might have to take a grave for
that one?
Speaker 5 (02:46:47):
Good luck?
Speaker 3 (02:46:48):
Yeah, anyway, all right, let's get to it. It's like, yeah,
we should kill that guy. Yeah. Oh wait, it's like trying.
Speaker 9 (02:46:55):
It's like finding out like Pablo Picasso, like love to
say the end word, and they're like.
Speaker 3 (02:46:59):
Yeah, can'sl Pablo Picasso. He probably did because he's Walt
disney Man. He was the most any of our presidents, Yeah,
because like or literally any of our pay canceled.
Speaker 9 (02:47:16):
George Washington.
Speaker 3 (02:47:19):
Canceled the one bill for sure.
Speaker 9 (02:47:22):
All right, WandaVision has the last two weeks. I think
we're the most uh, the most explaining, which I will say, however,
the last week is the most cinematic and emotional in
my opinion. So so if you've been waiting for payoff,
(02:47:43):
I think you're getting it now. Uh And and this
coming week will probably be the pinnacle. Some people are
saying that is the last episode. Some people are saying
is possibly this second to last episode. I don't know
where the information is coming from, Like was there an
article that said it's going to be nine episodes or
ten episodes or what? But there was talk about that
and I.
Speaker 3 (02:48:03):
Don't I don't know.
Speaker 9 (02:48:04):
How however, I'm very excited to see where this is
going now, and I like where this was. I did
have a conversation with Ricky a little bit earlier and
he was saying, you know that his thoughts about this
episode and what did you feel?
Speaker 11 (02:48:21):
Yeah, so, I mean no, I kind of called it
like a filler episode because I.
Speaker 3 (02:48:25):
Look at I still do this.
Speaker 9 (02:48:26):
I look at Ricky's picture on my on my monitor,
thinking like I'm making eye contact with you.
Speaker 5 (02:48:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:48:35):
Yeah, yeah, No, I.
Speaker 11 (02:48:37):
Called a filler episode, but mostly because you know, just
because you know, this goes into the backstory of Wanda,
which was good. You know, I'm not I'm not kind
of knocking any of that, but it's more of an
information like you know, we've heard of before and we
kind of seen I mean, we we got new information obviously,
but it's it's information that I've also kind of feel
like I could have gone like we we've we got
(02:48:58):
like the snippets of her, like know, a bomb came
into you know, their houses as they were kids, you know,
the stars, we got an age of Ultron, Yeah, and
you know and her you know, being changed by the
reality Minstone.
Speaker 3 (02:49:16):
Sorry it would make sense, Red, but no, Yeah, Mindstone.
Speaker 11 (02:49:22):
So it's like, you know, kind of things that like
I didn't you know, I feel like I could have
lived about you know, having more explanation to it.
Speaker 3 (02:49:28):
But then we got the fact that, you know, it.
Speaker 11 (02:49:30):
Seems like she was a witch or had at least
h some powers before this, obviously because she ass as
they're in the house with the with the stark bomb,
Agatha tells her that she used a probability spell and
that's that's what caused the bomb not.
Speaker 3 (02:49:45):
To go off.
Speaker 11 (02:49:47):
So she obviously had these powers before that were just
amplified when when she was in with the fucking hydra.
But then we get you know, then we get the
great things as like you know, like all the fucking
Wanda vision we get, you know, the last fucking ten
seconds of the show was like one of the best
parts of it where we see a white vision.
Speaker 3 (02:50:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (02:50:12):
So yeah, I mean I kind of called a phill
episode just because you know, I feel like there's a
lot of information that I didn't really feel like we
definitely needed more information on, but you know, I want
more of the backstory with you know, what's going on
with h with Maria and you know, all the all
the stuff going on was sworn and you know, where
(02:50:32):
the fuck was Cat Danning's at.
Speaker 3 (02:50:36):
Stuff like that. Ricky and I are very concerned about
where Cat Dannings is. Yeah, choose though, but I understand
that and button in those in those amazing pants.
Speaker 9 (02:50:47):
Dude, when they cut to her in her circus outfit,
I was like, that doesn't reveal anything, but because of
Cat Dinnings and how.
Speaker 3 (02:50:54):
She's shaped him like that is amazing. Yeah, yeah, Art,
we need more than we need more of that.
Speaker 9 (02:51:02):
I wants uh spin off, but I yeah, in the
circus outfit, Yeah, yeah, I called it.
Speaker 3 (02:51:17):
I called it a killer episode.
Speaker 11 (02:51:18):
But I mean I going going back and kind of
thinking about it now, I I kind of take that
back as well.
Speaker 3 (02:51:24):
I wouldn't call it a filler episode. I would just
because there was a lot of stuff that we we
got out of it that, uh, you know, filler episodes
to me are like things that don't have I don't
have big mean we there was a lot of bombs
dropped no pun intended on this Uh this episode, I'm
(02:51:45):
starting this movement intend your punk pun intended. There's a
lot of bombs dropped. But you know, but within that
story that we already knew that they that her and
pro told in Age Woltron about the stark bomb, you know,
dropping and all that stuff. And then and then I'm
sitting around but the fact that we just that we
found we we basically find out that that Wanda was
(02:52:08):
already a mutant and not we think she was a witch. Yeah,
which forever, I mean, she already had powers. So I
mean in this mc U like, this could be our
this could be finally our bridge, right, Like, no, I
totally agree with that.
Speaker 9 (02:52:26):
I just yeah, just just for the sake of the
fact that they didn't say the word yet, I'm like.
Speaker 11 (02:52:31):
Well, they fucking threw away the whole fake Pietro thing
as just being in her eyes and ears.
Speaker 3 (02:52:37):
I would hope this was my least that was my
least favorite part of this whole series, as if they went.
Speaker 9 (02:52:44):
With the whole Oh this stunt casting was just that stunt.
Yeah anything, And they say, but I'm like, that's that
was not nice.
Speaker 3 (02:52:57):
Yes, where would you go with him anybody else? God?
Speaker 9 (02:53:00):
Damn it, people. I think people spent hours fucking dig deep,
fucking digging into it.
Speaker 5 (02:53:08):
Just yes, for sure.
Speaker 3 (02:53:11):
I mean New rock Stars obviously they were.
Speaker 9 (02:53:13):
Like absolutely, I would not want Aaron Boss's job at all.
Speaker 3 (02:53:18):
Yeah, how did you jump there? That's amazing.
Speaker 9 (02:53:22):
It's just like, yeah, he's like, look at enhanced zoom
in good, look look at this, Yeah, look.
Speaker 3 (02:53:27):
At the look at the mirror in the back the mirror.
What does that mean?
Speaker 5 (02:53:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:53:34):
In that New rock Stars episode, he does, he does
point out that Phros everything. He says, yeah, he's and
he's like kinda he's kind of upset with It's like
he's basically there to create chaos, you know, that was
the whole points he says it on the show, and
all create grief. I think because he's grief. I don't know, man,
(02:54:02):
I don't know. I just I really enjoyed this this
episode because I really did want to get to this.
I liked I liked the feeling of going back to
those even like the Avengers compound.
Speaker 9 (02:54:13):
I agree that That's one of my major thing was
is like this needed to be the emotional episode that
it was because of the fact that you could have
told us this for sure, but it wouldn't have meant
meant as much. Yeah, as far as why. People before
this were like, I really don't want them to make
(02:54:34):
wander crazy. Just had another crazy chick movie or series,
And this is telling you it's not. It's telling you
exactly why she was. She was very nice and she's like, hey,
that my dead lover. That was literally in my hands
seconds before I came back and he was gone and
(02:54:54):
I had to save the world again. Yeah, because you
guys have his bobb and I need I need. I
want to give it a burial.
Speaker 3 (02:55:03):
And understandably she was upset, but very very much like, Okay,
you guys have his body and I need that. I
needed to give me his body. She didn't take it.
She didn't take it. It was yeah, a little bob.
Speaker 9 (02:55:20):
Absolutely, But but I know that was probably the most
thing that was like, Heyward's a dick. I thought he
was like Teeter tottering. You could give him the the
the argument that he's just doing.
Speaker 3 (02:55:31):
The best he can. But after that I was like,
oh no, he's yeah, he's trying, Yeah he is a
I was like out of nowhere.
Speaker 9 (02:55:39):
And this, this line specifically, is what made it be like,
there's much much more than this is leading on. He's like,
not everyone could bring back their lover and.
Speaker 3 (02:55:49):
She's like, what, I can't do that. It's like, yeah,
are you sure? Sure you will try? Maybe try.
Speaker 11 (02:56:01):
A normal human being, a normal human man.
Speaker 9 (02:56:08):
But that was as soon as I heard that line,
I'm like, what, how, what where did that come from?
Speaker 3 (02:56:15):
So so yeah, I don't know if you guys, I
don't know if you guys watched the New Rock Start.
I mean, this is so obviously we're just gonna paraphrase.
Speaker 9 (02:56:24):
Okay, So so I like to tell you what I
feel during the episode, and yes, it is confirmed and
elaborated on in a lot of these videos, and I
disagree with a lot of their stuff. I just use
them as like, Okay, so I'm not the only one
with these thoughts and why because of that, I see
that as a reinforcement of what I've already thought about.
(02:56:46):
So I'm not like so because certain people said this,
this is my thought, Like No, as soon as he
said that during the episode, I was like, and then
somebody else alse.
Speaker 3 (02:56:55):
Went yeah, yeah, yeah, well so that's the point. Well
my point was just this is what I thought too,
like as I was watching it, was that the reason
Agnes this is so hell bent on on on wondering
(02:57:15):
what Wanda's power is just because she it seems like
she's trying to bring back somebody or something like that,
which is what what they pointed out on like she
and and uh and which explains why she was so
intrigued when she found She's like, oh you not everyone
can go you can do that. You can She's like,
oh you can do that? You know. It's like and
(02:57:35):
then that's that's.
Speaker 9 (02:57:36):
Another thing, like bringing that full kind of circle is
like that moment and the Hayward moment.
Speaker 3 (02:57:42):
I'm like, what is going on? These people know more
than they're leaving on type of thing.
Speaker 9 (02:57:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, up to that point, Wanda had no
idea what she could do as far.
Speaker 3 (02:57:54):
As that, right, I mean, and and then I mean
it's like she basically just she created vision out of
just straight chaos magic.
Speaker 9 (02:58:05):
Yeah, and so, which is very interesting because I mean,
as someone who is a fan of a lot of
different fiction that has to do with magic, a lot
of the main things that a lot of them follow.
Speaker 3 (02:58:16):
Is the rule that you can't create something. Whatever you
make has to come from something else, whether it be
your own life force, something else's life force. Turning one
matter into another matter.
Speaker 9 (02:58:29):
Chaos Magic is one of the few things that I've
seen where it's like you can create something out of nothing.
Speaker 3 (02:58:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:58:39):
And that and Sabrina the Teenage, which with Melissa jo
and Hart you're the only two things that you chaos
magic in the sense of they create something out of nothing.
Speaker 3 (02:58:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:58:51):
And because of that, I'm like, Oh, that makes it.
Speaker 3 (02:58:54):
Wait, so we don't have we do have another episode? Right?
Speaker 9 (02:58:57):
Or oh yeah, no, we definitely have one more at least,
so we're not sure if we have one or two more.
For some reason, like I didn't look very heavily into it,
but some people were like, oh, we get a bonus episode,
Like where was there a thing where they said you
get x amount of episodes?
Speaker 3 (02:59:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (02:59:13):
I don't know if you don't know what these at
least one more, possibly two more, I think, is what's
going on.
Speaker 11 (02:59:20):
And then obviously I heard the only the only thing
I kind of heard is that people were confusing a
like behind the scenes sort of like show about how
they made this, how they made wander Vision, and they
were confusing that as another episode to the.
Speaker 9 (02:59:34):
Show, because I know it's having a making of similar
to the Gallery of Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:59:41):
Then they were confusing that with another episode. Oh okay,
maybe that's what it is.
Speaker 9 (02:59:46):
I'm very excited about that too, because more almost almost
more so do I love behind the scenes stuff as
the actual stuff that I love, Because yeah, finding or
watching somebody so passionate about something tell you how they
created it.
Speaker 3 (03:00:05):
Is the best.
Speaker 9 (03:00:07):
It's how I love. Its probably why I like the
stuff that I watch on YouTube. I watched tons of
engineering shows and cooking shows even at its core exactly
the same thing where it's like I'm amazing and it
tastes delicious. Let me show you how I love making
of something.
Speaker 3 (03:00:22):
All right, I don't know, I'll just say that that
I'm really looking forward to how they wrap this up.
And this is I mean, now we know where this
is all going to go with the Doctor Strange at least,
you know, like a little bit, we have a better
idea where we think this might go, you know. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (03:00:38):
So there's the two main things.
Speaker 3 (03:00:39):
I think the easiest thing to be is and I
think this is from the beginning, people were like, Wanda
gets crazy, her powers go off and she becomes the
villain and Doctor Strange.
Speaker 9 (03:00:49):
I don't want that. Still, I here, here's the best
case scenario that I want to see, and that is,
uh Wanda will have to have to make a choice
whether she comes back to this reality or another one,
and she choose to go to She'll choose to go
(03:01:09):
to another one where she can.
Speaker 3 (03:01:11):
Live with Vision, and UH.
Speaker 9 (03:01:15):
And her kids and and Doctor Strange will have to
have to work that out and bring them into the
proper universe because I'll say, this Vision is not going anywhere.
I don't I don't believe Paul betny Is is is
done after this.
Speaker 3 (03:01:31):
Uh, White Vision might not, you know, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (03:01:35):
I think is another thing too, there's been a speculation
where it's like Vision's soul in the hext can come
and be in the White Vision body. I don't like
how it looks, and I hope.
Speaker 11 (03:01:48):
They've established the fact that there's like a you know,
it's not just like a made up reality. It's it's
her changing you know, actual things into So I mean
it's possible that, which is why I think that made
it possible.
Speaker 9 (03:02:00):
Yeah, No, absolutely, And the thing that backs us up
the most is that Vision came out of that hex
for a small amount of time, but he existed out
of it. He was Yeah, exactly, so, so it's definitely
a possibility for that. I just I don't like the
aesthetic of the White Vision, so I hope it don't
stick with that.
Speaker 3 (03:02:18):
I'm thinking, I'm thinking that the White Vision will be
around for a minute at least, at least something. I
really and I kind of hope that they that they
keep him around for I hope that's it's not just
like they get to bring him in and then it
and then it's like we're going to destroy him at
the end of the series. You know, I really don't.
I really hope that that's not what happens.
Speaker 9 (03:02:40):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 3 (03:02:41):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (03:02:42):
The biggest thing that I've thought since the beginning, and
I still want to him now, is why, after all
this time, has not a single other Avengers shown up.
Speaker 3 (03:02:53):
Yeah, I know that's like every other fucking.
Speaker 9 (03:02:58):
But now there's no reason for it at the end
in the beginning.
Speaker 3 (03:03:01):
Because who do we have now? I mean, we still
got like war Machine.
Speaker 9 (03:03:05):
The only people that are gone are literally Scarlett I
keep doing this, Scarlet Johansson, which is black Widow, and Tony.
Speaker 3 (03:03:12):
That's it.
Speaker 9 (03:03:13):
Everyone else is saying, we got.
Speaker 3 (03:03:15):
We got like Guardians and they're gone. Away and then
what black panthers?
Speaker 9 (03:03:21):
Okay, if not dead. And here is the list of
people that should have shown up or should show up.
Number one, Doctor Strange should have and might possibly at
the end, Yeah, but should have most mostly because of
the fact of magic. You know, Thor and Loki showed
up like for five minutes and and he fucking showed up,
(03:03:43):
you know, yeah, true? Uh so he's number one. Number
two is literally anyone that knows fucking Wanda is like,
I'm your friend, So, like, there's no reason Sam or
Bucky or whoever is like friends with Wanda or Hawkeye.
Didn't you like what? Why is crazy? That's weird? I
(03:04:04):
should show up. I have nothing else to do yet. Yeah, yeah, series,
but there's no reason because this takes place three weeks
after the after after endgame.
Speaker 3 (03:04:18):
I mean even who's to say, I mean, who's to
say that even like Hank Pims you know, uh, theories
wouldn't be helpful in what was going on, Like why.
Speaker 9 (03:04:30):
Yeah, fucking what's his face?
Speaker 3 (03:04:33):
Fury? Fury should have some in.
Speaker 9 (03:04:37):
Yeah, but one he we know he has a scroll counterpart,
and two he should be able to be like, hey,
one of my fucking Avengers is crazy, and I don't
know the exact tise Fury has the sword yet, but
I'm sure he does have some. Yeah, you know there
should be Avengers here. Uh, people like Peter Parker don't
need to be. But it actually has. Like you had
(03:05:00):
been confirmed that this takes place before Spider Man Far
from Home, which is weird because of the pandemic, the
release order is all fucked up, and of course Sony
being so Spider Man far from Home, so.
Speaker 3 (03:05:14):
She would like he'd be like in Europe right now,
befo we're talking. If we're going timeline, probably he'd probably
be in Europe right now.
Speaker 9 (03:05:24):
I believe from what I remember that Endgame takes place
in somewhat around November of that year, and Far from
Home takes place in summer after, so around six months
of time. So I think he's back. I think he's
in New York at this point.
Speaker 3 (03:05:42):
Yeah, he's just chilling New Yorker. I don't believe. I
don't believe he needs to because he isn't doing flips.
I don't think he's ever. No, he has met Scarlett
which in Civil War, but he's not friends or anything.
So I'm gonna give Peter Parker a past.
Speaker 9 (03:05:56):
I'm talking about everybody else that literally is her friend,
war Machine being one of them, even like they live
especially Yeah, like all these fucking people New Wanda and
and no one's even around but number one doctor Strange
for the obvious reasons of giant magical fucking thing going on,
he should know about fucking Wong. Yeah wah. He's like,
(03:06:20):
oh yeah, I gotta go back to the same time.
Speaker 3 (03:06:22):
Bye. Yeah, someone has to take care of it. I
got to piss again, and.
Speaker 9 (03:06:31):
I think it's a good place to wrap up anyway.
All right, Well, thank you everyone for listening and watching.
Of course, we love you so much, so so much.

Speaker 3 (03:07:30):
He had already by ind
