På den ene side bliver det lille østafrikanske land kaldt en klimadarling, økonomien buldrer afsted, landet sammenlignes med Singapore – og efter en ihærdig indsats er Rwanda lige nu vært for VM i cykling som det første afrikanske land nogensinde.
Men der er en skyggeside. Rwandas præsident, Paul Kagame, bliver kritiseret for at holde landet i et jerngreb, og rwanderne hvisker, når de taler om ham.
