Med under en uge til det amerikanske valg er der helt dødt løb mellem Donald Trump og Kamala Harris i de syv svingstater, og begge kandidater forsøger desperat at få mobiliseret de afgørende stemmer.
I et forsøg på at vinde svingstaten Michigan er Trump begyndt at svine statens største by, Detroit, til.
For at finde ud af, hvordan byens indbyggere reagerer på det, har Jyllands-Postens udlandsredaktør, Michael Bjerre, besøgt Detroit - og mødt en af dem, som har været med til at styre den kriminelle underverden i byen. Han er morder, hedder Charles Butler Bay, og han vil stemme på Trump.
