I takt med krokussernes komme er lyset vendt tilbage i Mathildes liv.
Selvom hun stadig ser på havregrøden om morgenen og tænker, at hun bliver tyk af den, spiser hun igen, og psykiatrien har endelig sat gang i en udredning, der giver hende håb.
I mere end et år har journalist Lasse Momme fulgt med i Mathilde Kirstine Simonsen Højs liv.
En forårsdag ringer han til hende. For hun har nemlig fået et brev. Øverst er et stempel fra statsministeriet.
»Mist aldrig troen på, at du er vigtig,« står der bl.a. i det.
