I 1984 landede en 17-årig dansk udvekslingsstudent i New York – og blev stormende forelsket i Guds eget land. Den 17-årige var David Trads, der senere brugte sin forelskelse i det amerikanske folk i sit arbejde som både forfatter og USA-kommentator.
Men nu er han i hjertesorg, og i sin nye bog “Amerika stiller uret tilbage” skriver han om at indse, at han hader Trump. For David Trads føler sig forrådt og afvist af USA.
