Niels Jørgen begyndte på lærerstudiet på Zahle, og tog på en livslang orlov fra samme studie.
Derefter søgte han og fik arbejde, hos auktionshuset Lauritz. Han begyndte som receptionist, men begyndte hurtigt at vurdere tasker, pelse og smykker.
I tre omgange var han ansat hos Lauritz. Imellemtiden nåede han til Berlin og skabte en forretning med vintage mærketøj.
Du kender ham også fra TV-programmet Loppen og Lærlingen. Niels Jørgen skiller sig ud fra mængden og det har ikke altid været nemt. Det mærker han i hans hverdag, hvor både ubehageligheder og kærlighed finder sted. Det er en del af Niels Jørgens mål at dele glæde og kærlighed ud, da han i sit liv har oplevet en del mobberi.
