all engine running.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's Tuesday. You know what that means. We are live
on x and also live on Twitch with the a
w FANA podcast team every Tuesday night at eight forty
five Eastern Time with Ignition. This is Kelson and Wednesday
brings us a w Blood and Guts from the first
(00:44):
Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, Carolina. Hey, at least
I didn't say American. This week, Ricky the Dragon steamboat
will be there to nature boy, rick where will be there?
The show will be highlighted by two blood and Guts matches.
So I have a question for the podcast team, how
(01:06):
would you structure aw Dynamite, especially with the with the
blood and guts matches? And which of the blood and
guts matches do you think should main event the show?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I think the women should main event. You know it
was announced a while ago. I think it's head.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
It's hard to say it's had a better deal build,
but it's head. The focus has been on every woman
in that match, like those twelve women are the core
of the division. It's the first time you're having a
women's blooding guts match. I don't see how you don't
main event with that one.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, good, Okay, I back that.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
I think the women should be the main event.
Speaker 6 (02:00):
But the problem is there's in between matches. You getta
raise that cage back up and down again and stuff.
I believe there's a Will hop isn't there a Will
Hobbs versus.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Adam Page match? Yes, so that's in between that.
Speaker 6 (02:17):
I don't know if you started off first with the
men's and get that storyline line out of the way,
because I get the feeling that people don't care.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
About that as much. I don't particularly, but some people
may and just have.
Speaker 6 (02:31):
But the ladies has to be last, I think because
it's a big moment and there's more storyline and I'm
more interested in see that one.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yeah, don't forget now that tomorrow night show is two
and a half hours long, so the main event is
going to go past a lot of people's bedtimes. Matt,
what do you have to say about this?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I would like to see the women start things off.
Actually really really excited for the women's blood and cuts matches,
so I'd like to see them open the show. Maybe, yeah,
have hang down in Hobbs later because I have a
feeling that with that Samoa Joe is gonna intervene, so
(03:17):
they could kind of leave that hanging at the end.
You know what's gonna happen there, what's happening next? And yeah,
that's my take on it, all right, what about you, Marcus?
Speaker 7 (03:30):
Yes, I would actually like to see the women open
the show. Kind of get the hottest crowd behind them.
Another grad is probably gonna be hot all night, get
that moment, get them going out there first. I mean
them main eventing would be good, but I would actually
like to see them open the show with the women.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah, I kind of tore it on this part of
me really want Hangman and Hobbs to open the show.
I'm sure there's gonna be more matches announced, because as
of right now, there's only the three matches, and two
of them are the Blood and Guts. And I don't
know how long the Blood and Guts are going to go,
(04:16):
but just considering that the women's match has more combatants
in it, two more, it's gonna take that much longer.
Of course, the match could end at any time, but look,
it's stupid to think that the match is gonna have
before everybody comes out because they've been waiting so long
(04:39):
for everyone enters the right. Oh, that's right, that's right.
I'm thinking I'm thinking something else. I'm think at the
casino match. But what you know anyway, Yeah, the match
can only end by submission or just giving up. So yeah,
submissioners surround two s's. But look, let's go ahead and
(05:04):
talk about the men's blooding guts. Is there anything that
you see or expect or want to see happen during
the men's blooding guts match.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I'm just expecting a whole lot of crazy vilast I mean,
you've got Darby Allenson saying Moxley Brisco. I mean, you
have some crazy bastards in this match who are gonna
and I feel like a lot of people, I don't
know about a lot that people have been like, yeah,
we really need a men's so they may be kind
(05:38):
of wanted to be like, shut the hell up, idiots,
We're gonna give you something where you're not gonna question
us ever again. So I'm just expecting craziness. And I
mean Darby tries to light someone on fire.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Right, Well, do you think that, Uh, one of the
questions that I've had, You know that I've been asking
myself looking at this, Chris is uh m, how do
you think the teams are stacked up? I mean, does
everybody fit in this type of match?
Speaker 4 (06:19):
I would say Orange Cacity doesn't really fit. But we've
seen him have you know, crazy matches before where he
does really well. I think I almost think the fact
that he doesn't fit makes him a good fit, Like
you know what I mean, It's kind of like one
of those right, it shouldn't work, but it will. That's
(06:42):
what kind of my tack everyone else, you know, I
think they said, I know I've heard on here it
was mid Card All Stars, but if you look at
the death Riders outside of Moxley, who is the main inventner?
Speaker 3 (06:57):
You know?
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Yeah? Now, I know that some people have said that
they hope that this is the end of the death Writers. Mkay.
I know that you've not been a fan of the
Death Writers. Do you think that this is the end
of the Death Writers? In One Fell Swoop at Blood
and Guts?
Speaker 3 (07:16):
I hope.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
So I really do don't see anywhere else to go.
I'm thinking Box is going to surrender somehow, uh and
cost them, and then they're going to turn on him
or something of that effect.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
I really do hope so.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Like I said a bunch of times in this podcast,
I just feel this has gone on too long. This
is the perfect way to end it on their type
of match, and if they can't win their type of match,
then they don't need to be a stable anymore.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Right, Who who is it that has the advantage in
this match? Is it? Is it the uh? Is it
the death Writers?
Speaker 1 (07:52):
The death Writers only seem to really have an advantage
when they're together.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
No, I'm talking about I'm talking about the actual advantage, Like.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
Oh, Darby, it's the good guys, Oh, the good guys.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yeah, Yeah, I think so. I think Darby has a lot,
a lot going for him. I used to not be
that much of a fan of Darby, but he has
really grown on me. So I can see the good
guys pulling off a win with this, and I do
think it's going to be the end of the Death Riders.
(08:31):
Something I noticed is we're hearing a lot more from
from from Pac and I a Puck and I think
that he's going to somehow have something to do with
the big ending, the big finale, so to speak.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Yeah, I am Yeah, he has been a lot more,
although I wor I could think of it. He's taking
more of like a leadership role of the Death Riders.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Yeah. Yeah, I think he's empowered by pants. That was
the trick to him all along, it is putting him
in a pair of.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Pants and cutting his hair.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Yeah, so he's really been out there, are you.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Are you satisfied? Are you satisfied about with how well,
for lack of better words, moist he's been in the
last few weeks.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
I think he's been an adequate amount of there's an
adequate amount of moisture.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, the dude is definitely the wettest guy in a w.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
I think he just he comes right out of the
shower and just runs to the.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Ring exactly right out of the swimming bowl, Okay, right
out of the dakuzzi of the ring. Yeah. Well, Marcus,
let me ask you a question here, when uh, when
this blood and guts match starts. Let's look at strategy here,
who do you think is the first in the ring
(10:02):
for both the uh, well, the good guys and the
bad guys, the Conglomeration and the.
Speaker 7 (10:07):
Death Claudio And I was gonna say Orange Cassidy, but
I think it's gonna be Claudio and Kyle Ray.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
That makes sense what you said, Claudio. I was thinking,
well that it makes sense for it to be Orange
Cassidy because those two have a little bit of a
thing going on. Yeah, I was thinking about it because
you definitely yeah, I mean, when you think about it, Marcus,
you I mean, you definitely have to put somebody that
has stamina in there, and you know, and well Claudio
(10:45):
can do it. I actually, pretty much everybody at the
Death Writers has the stamina to do these long matches.
I don't know if Kyle O'Reilly has has the stamina
to go from the very beginning of the match all
to the end. You know.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
You know, while we're talking about Kyle O'Reilly, I really
don't like the way that he's been booked. He is
actually a really, really good wrestler and he is in
all of these matches where he's just getting beaten, and
I don't like the congomeration and whatever they're doing there.
(11:24):
They seem like a big joke. On the opposite, I
don't like it. I wish Kyle O'Reilly won more. He's
he's actually a good strong wrestler, and it's almost clownish
the way he is to me, and I just I
don't like it.
Speaker 6 (11:42):
I don't know, I kind of feel differently. I like
the side of Kyle, the goofball. He can wrestle and stuff,
but he's he's almost pushed Max to his limits, and
I think he may have a say in the ending
and maybe he's the one who makes Mark tap out
or or something, or he gets revenge on Max.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
I hope. So, I hope you're right. It would be
nice to see or at least have him actually beat
Wheeler You to the death.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
So I think everybody kind of wants to see Wheeler
You to get beat to death. Yeah, well I want to.
I want to go back to Marcus here because you
were the last to go in the first question. So
I'm gonna ask you the question that I think everybody
wants to know. Uh well, two two part question. Who's
gonna bleed first? And how do you see this match
(12:33):
playing out? I mean, what is the end result? Not
necessarily the winner, but what is the end result of
what goes on in this match? What would you like
to say?
Speaker 7 (12:45):
First question of who I think is gonna bleed first?
I think it's gonna be Orange Cassidy he's someone that
looks good bleeding like, he can bleed like a lot.
It'll show throughout the mask. That's why if he starts
it like, he's someone that can take a good beating.
But as far as how I think it's gonna play out,
(13:08):
I think the majority of people can see this match
kind of being a story with box and boxing. How
is he going to behave in this match? Is he
gonna be the one that quits? Is he gonna be
the one that surrenders for someone else?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Like?
Speaker 7 (13:25):
How is it gonna work out him? And that's I
think how it's gonna come out. I think it's gonna
be down to box on whether he taps or so
or he's surrendered, and that's how the endings.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, yeah, let's go to let's go to time, Chris,
What do you think.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
As far as a tough question, I betta go with
whoever enters the ring Smith is gonna be the first police?
Speaker 2 (13:59):
You think it's gonna take that long for somebody to bleed?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
I think because it's five minutes, you know, to winner,
and then five for five minutes and then it's thinking
what like every Yeah, I think so that's really not
that long when you think about it. The fifth person that's,
you know, nine ten minutes into the match.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
True.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
As for the finish, I wanted this for the E
Quick match, so I've wanted to get here since it
didn't happen. Darby Allen threatens to set Wheeler Yudah on
fire and Monstley is like, whatever, I don't give a
shit about that little ship. To set Daniel Garcia on fire.
It's like, no, no, I actually care about him. I
(14:51):
actually liked him. I I don't know why I want
that finish, I just do. I know it probably won't happened,
but I think it would be interesting and funny, and
Bieler would be like what the hell man?
Speaker 3 (15:11):
So yeah, I want that to be the fas.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
I'm gonna go to m K. I had an additional
question for you, m K. Of course, who's gonna bleed? First?
How do you see this match playing out? And is
there anybody that is missing from this match that you
would have liked to have seen in this match? And
I'm not talking about sworst Rick later, will Osbrey somebody
that can be in the match that isn't in this match.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
I don't know who else might putting this much. I
think everyone's pretty pretty good in this match. I think
it's gonna be Darby Allen is gonna bleed first because
he's gonna get thrown.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
He's will get.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
Lawn darted into the into the cage, or he will
get lown darted off of it into the crash pad.
I just I once again, I'll say that the death
Writers are going to lose. How I don't know it
can be anything, but I think it's their time to lose,
(16:09):
and it's their time to go away for a while.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
I don't think it's going to be a finite end
to the Death Writers, but I do see something major happening.
Maybe to get to that net same questions, who's going
to bleed first? How do you see this match playing out?
And is there anybody who is not in this match
that you would have liked to have seen in this match?
Speaker 1 (16:36):
I actually think that Moxley's going to bleed first. He's
big on bleeding, and I think that Darby's going to
get the upper hand early on him and he's going
to bleed first. And someone I think that should be
(16:56):
in it that isn't, Well, there's someone that I would
like to see in a blood and guts match, and
that's Will Hobbs. I know he has a match with Hangman,
but I would like to see him in blood and
guts matches more so than just about anybody. He seems
like he's made for it. And what was the other question?
(17:20):
I missed it?
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Well, how do you think it's going to play out?
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Oh goodness, I don't know. There's so many scenarios with that.
I don't know, and I don't I don't think it's
the end of the Death Riders either. I think there
may be some fractures within them where we're left wondering
what's going to happen, and maybe they'll pick that up
in the future, but I don't think that there. I
(17:48):
don't think this is the end of the Death Riders,
and I do think that the good guys will end
up coming out on top. But there's gonna be some
kind of of something that leaves us wondering what's going
on with the Death Riders. That's what I think.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, as far as who's gonna bleed first, I think
it's gonna be Mark Briscoe. He just seems like he
would be somebody would bleed North Carolina. I don't know why.
That's just the way he looks. As far as way
it's going to play out, I agree with you, Ned,
I think that this is going to not be the
finite ed to the Death Riders, But I think something's
(18:31):
gonna happen. And I like the word that you use, fractured.
I think something's gonna happen that will that will definitely
fracture and expose a weakness within the group. And that's
what I think now. As far who I would like
to have seen in this match and who isn't. Look
(18:52):
if hangman Adam Page is the embodiment of cowboys shit,
who is more of the embodiment of blood and guts,
then somebody would no guts. The man with the missing
seventy two feet worth of small intestines, Kenny Omega, I'd
like to see him get ready and be able to
(19:12):
go next year. I think that's one of the things
that I would like to see. Let's get Kenny Omega,
is you know, minuscule small intestines out there and do this.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Don Callus would lose his mind if it happened.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, well, we're gonna talk a little bit about Don
Kallis and our pro pori because I think our propri
resection is gonna probably be a very interesting discussion. But
let's move on to the women's blood and guts now. Look,
I'm gonna be honest with you, and I think I
mentioned this before the show to somebody. I've made a
post on the aw panhub subreddit about the men's blood
(19:57):
and guts and about the women's bloody and the general
consensus was not a whole lot of people really cared
about the men's blood and guts match. It's just a match.
A lot of people are invested in the women's blood
and gut. Look, it's the first women's blood and guts
match in aw's history. We know that they can do
(20:20):
it because they've had aw's had so many women's hardcore matches,
street fights and whatnot. But this is this is a
new era. Two rings, one gauge, blood and guts. How
do you guys see this panning out? Chris, let's go
to you. What are you looking for in this match?
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Ah, blood and violence and craziness.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
We've seen you know, Julia Hart Skyblue Willow. We know
they're good in these kinds of matches, you know, we
don't really know what making bag or I meet Tony
Storm at the Hollywood Ending, we know what she brings,
but chatlander her and Willow in the street fight. But
(21:16):
there's a lot of it. Like about half of them
we've seen what they can do in this hardcore environment,
and the other half this will be the first time
see you know, this crazy environment. So I'm looking for
just violence, craziness. I think they will come up with
(21:40):
some really interesting spots. Someone's getting their huha stafled.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
There's no other way to say. You know it's gonna
be Yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
Think this is going to be really interesting and fun, bloody,
and I have no idea who comes out as the winner.
You know, who submits, who surrenders. This is one of
those it's the first time, so I just I'm just
(22:17):
looking for a fun, violent match.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Honestly, there you go. Violence is the key, Marcus. I'm
going to go to you next. What are you looking
for in this match? Is there anything in specific that
you particularly want to see.
Speaker 7 (22:30):
I'm interested to see how they lay this match out
with women as opposed to how they've laid out the
men's matches in the past, just because of you know,
some of the the differences between how the men and women,
But I do expect a bloody, violent match. It's to
see who actually bleeds in this match, and that's gonna
(22:52):
be interesting to see. Uh. And one thing that I'm
also interested to see is get actually exit the caves.
I've never seen the women actually go on top of
the cage, so that's something that I was I'm interested
to see if they actually do.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Yeah, I was thinking about that earlier myself, Marcus, and
I was like, God, I hope not. The women's submission
is too good right now for risking injury on something
stupid like that.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
In my opinion, I agree.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
No.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
So okay, let's go to you and what are your
thoughts here. Let me ask you specifically, who do you
think begins both begins this match for both teams.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
I don't. I think stat Lander should start.
Speaker 6 (23:47):
I think you should start small with some of the
other people like stat Lander, and I'm not sure who's
all else.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
On it.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
But I really do want to see Megan may come
and last and just destroy. I think she came up
a long way, and uh, I think she deserves to
dominate and I think, yeah, that she deserves the title.
Eventually and uh, and this is gonna be a heck
(24:15):
of a match.
Speaker 8 (24:17):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
They're gonna perform myself like they always do. They're always overperform.
And I think it's gonna be the match of the
year for these type of matches.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah. You know, one thing that I will say is
because I was thinking about it with Julia Hart. Julia
Hart has bled in matches before, but it's always been
her own blood caused by It's not by it like natural,
like she bumped her head or she bit her lip
(24:50):
or something like that. So I'd be interesting to see
what kind of blood comes from Julia Hart, from her
just conkering herself on the head, you know, because that's
the way it works with her. I'm also interested to
see if the if the mist comes into play in
this match. Matt, what do you think about the women's
(25:11):
blood and guts?
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Okay, okay, sorry, sorry, no, no, I'm here. I was
having trouble with with my little icon. With the women's
blood and guts, I think it has the potential to
be very very good if they play this right. I'm
interested to see what kinds of things they come up
(25:38):
with to beat the heck out of each other. I
think that Julie Hart actually should probably be one of
the first people out. I would like to see her
and Mercedes Monette actually get into it. Mercedes tend to
(25:58):
void same ting, but I still think something will happen there.
I think that's the surprise because Mercedes has a lot
of a lot of aggression towards a lot of the
other women, whether they are together or not. She doesn't
seem to like anybody, and I think that she's gonna
(26:20):
do something like maybe she'll push Julia or push sky
Blue out of the way and they actually will end
up getting into it with her. Something tells me that
Mercedes just does not play fair and she's just gonna
kind of be out there for herself and it's going
to anger everyone else. I'd like to see who I'm
(26:43):
a huge fan of. Is Megan Bain really just absolutely
destroy everyone like somebody else said, I would really like
to see her there and really showing what she can do.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
So all the way around, I'm kind of thinking that
Megan Baine's gonna be a little protected in this match,
and the reason why is because she is committed to
the Tag League tournament. In Stardom. She went to stardom
over the weekend. Now she's back, and now she's going
back to stardom. So she's bouncing back and forth between
(27:21):
A and W and a W and stardom this month.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
So I think she'll be last.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Yeah, I mean so I think you'd be protected. Uh,
somebody needs to mute. But anyway, Uh, I lost my
train of thought. You know, that brought up a point
where Mercedes Monet and Julia Hart, and it does kind
of make a little sense because again I bring this up,
brought this up before in one of the previous podcasts.
(27:49):
When Mercedes Monete debuted in Boston, the first person to
confront her was Julia Hart, I mean confront her physically,
so so they have a little bit And again I
really do believe remember Julia Hart lost the TBS championship
the Willow Nightingale, who only kept the championship for thirty
five days, but for losing it to Mercedes Monet. I
(28:14):
really don't believe that at that point Willow nine Gale
was ever supposed to be TBS champion. It was just
an injury to Julia Hart that caused that whole change
of title to come about. Yeah, you know, women's match,
and I can say the same thing for the men's match.
It's really not about who wins and who loses, it's
(28:36):
what happens in the match. Uh, there's no winner and
losers in this. The winners, of course, are gonna be
the fans if they do it right. But yeah, I mean, look,
blood and guts is blood and guts, and you never
know what's gonna happen. Who wasn't that said about going
(28:57):
outside the cage? The women going outside the cage? Was
that much Disney or Chris? Okay? Yeah, I mean I
mean if that happens, if they get up on top
of the cage, what the heck? Man? I mean, Look,
sky Blue is built for these kind of matches. Let's
(29:18):
just face it. She is the hardcore queen of aw
If something like that is going to happen with somebody
going outside the ring and up on top of the cage,
it's gonna be sky Blue that comes down the wrong way,
let's put it that way. So I'm looking forward to
to this match, I really am. I hope. I'm really
(29:42):
rooting for all the women to do really well and
make this match special because if it flops, boy, we'll
never see it again. So, speaking of the women, Pro Wrestling,
Illustrated came out with their twenty twenty five Top two
(30:05):
fifty to PWI two fifty. Now keep in mind that
the evaluation period was from October one to twenty twenty
four through September thirtieth of twenty twenty five, so it's
not only what happens in twenty twenty five. It does
have like the last quarter twenty twenty four in this
(30:28):
but ranked number one was Mercedes Monet, ranked number two
was Tony Storm, Number three was Saya Kamatani from Stardom,
number four was Tiffany Stratton from WWE, and number five
was Stephanie ba Kerr from WWE. There was a lot,
(30:54):
a lot of the only word I could use for
it is discourse about this man his rankings, And I
wanted to see what you guys thought of it. I mean,
do you you feel like rsides Monet deserved number one?
Do you are you happy with Stephanie Vicord and Tiboty
Stratton at four and five? What about Saya Saya Kamatani
(31:18):
at three and Tony Storm at two? Uh? Really? What
are your thoughts here? Guys?
Speaker 1 (31:27):
I thought Tony should have been number one, and I
think that Athinos should have placed in there somewhere. I mean,
she's been the r o H champion forever, and but yeah,
I thought Tony should have come in at number one.
I think that they might have picked Monette because she's
(31:48):
running around with all those belts. Honestly, I don't know,
but I thought Tony Storm really really deserved number one.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
Yeah, I agree, you know, I just think Tony Storm,
because of her character work, has been better than Monette.
But but Monette has been around the world doing things
and putting wrestling on her back, so I can see
why they did it. But I don't disagree too much
with the WRESTL I don't know much of WWE or
(32:19):
anybody else, but I think it's a good fit for
what they had.
Speaker 7 (32:24):
I actually agree with Mercedes being number one. I think
her match output this year has just been kind of unprecedented.
Why but it's just rare, and the matches that she's
had outside of AW some of those matches have been
really really good. She's even had storylines through and CMLLL
(32:50):
things like that, so she's doing a lot. I can
see the argument for Tony Storm she's been like the
number one woman for probably the last two years if
we're being honest. But and then with the Saya Come Attorney,
she's like that next person in stardom that's coming up,
(33:11):
Like she's the next person. She's been really ban pushed.
I thought EO Sky would be higher, but I can't
really argue with anyone else.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Yeah, you know the thing about EO Sky here is that, well,
there's two women that you know, a lot of the
community said that EO Sky should have been higher. Uh.
EO Sky had an eight match singles wrestling losing streak.
(33:47):
She lost eight in a row during the evaluation period.
That and then in and of itself in this KFA
blist probably ruined her chances. Another woman who was not
even in the list anywhere in the top two fifty
is Becky Lynch. Why because she didn't meet the criteria,
(34:09):
because she was out for seven months, she wasn't able
to meet the criteria to you know, make the list.
I mean, there was no doubt that Becky Lynch is
definitely good enough to be in the top twenty, perhaps
even the top ten, maybe even the top five, but
she's just not on the litch list because she didn't
(34:29):
meet the criteria. So who else wants to give their
opinions about the women.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
I'll say one thing I found interesting is you look
at the cover. You know, normally you have the number
one who's on the cover, but at this time you
had Tony and verse Adi. I feel like, yeah, they're
one in two, but it's almost one A one B.
Like did you have to acknowledge what Tony Storm did
(34:58):
her character work? I mean how long she held the title.
But Mercedes wrestling all around the world and bring attention
to these smaller companies, to these women that have gotten
the chance to wrestle her, even if they lose. I
just don't see how I can't have her at number one,
(35:20):
like I mean Tony Storm here, I mean you can
say she carried the aw women's division, Mercedes Bonet built
up women's wrestling all around the world. As far as
the rest of the top ten, I think it's pretty
spot on.
Speaker 8 (35:40):
I don't watch WWE, so so I can't say, you know, yes,
they absolutely should be there, but I know both like
Tiffany Stratton, Septie Kerr, they were champions, they you know,
had a lot of focus on them.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
So it's one of those.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
I think the top ten is pretty spot on, and
that top spot it feels like, like I said, one
a one fee more than one in two.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Yeah. I mean one of the big arguments with Mercedes
Monet is that Tony Storm beat Mercedes Monett. But to
your point is something you said about Mercedes Money going
around the world and wrestling. If you look at who
she wrestled globally and look at this PWI two point fifty,
(36:32):
you'll see a lot of the names that she beat in,
you know, places like Austria and Italy and England and
Mexico on this list, which I'm sorry, but I think
what Mercedes Monett is doing is fantastic for women's wrestling.
(36:53):
I really do. She's putting in on the map globally,
not just within a single company. And the weird thing
about it is.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
If you go on.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Online and look on Reddit, and not the aw fhanhub subreddit,
but the other subreddit's like Greatness of Wrestling. I mean,
these people still call Mercedes Monet Sasha Banks. They have
no clue what goes on in any other promotion. A
lot of them don't other than WWE. They are such
(37:34):
cult it's so weird to me. I don't understand it.
I mean, I can understand watching one promotion. If that's
what you like to do, more power to you. And
I'm not saying anything bad about doing that. What I
don't like is that you watch your one promotion, talk
about your one promotion. Don't pretend to know anything about
(37:57):
what's going on in aaw Ring of Honor, Stardom, tjp W, TNA, whatever,
because you just don't know. You know, it's really getting
It's just so annoying that people just they spew out
of their mouth all the stuff, and it doesn't make
any sense because it's obvious that they don't watch.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
I mean, I've said time and time again, there's a
difference between being a professional wrestling fan and a fan
of one particular professional wrestling company, you know exactly. I
don't watch a time. I watch AW I watch New Japan.
I watched Stardom in CMLL when I can.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
Same with Roight.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
I don't watch WWE because I'm just not a fan
of what their product is, you know. I I keep
up with kind I try to keep up with kind
of like the main goings on there, so I can
at least I say, oh, yeah, that's happening, but I
don't really. But I don't go out of my way
to talk about WWE either, because I don't watch it regularly.
(39:07):
If you don't watch something regularly, how can you really
have a informed opinion on it. That's like saying, because
you watch the Super Bowl, you can talk about football
all day every day. No, but that's okay. You don't
have to know everything about every wrestling company. Just talk
(39:29):
about the wrestling you watch, talk about what you enjoy,
and don't hit on what other people enjoy. I mean,
it's not difficult.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Well it's not.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Only Look, wrestling is in rocket science and you don't
even really have to watch the matches to know who
the champions are, who has belts. Who's what I mean. Look,
if you don't watch WWE, do you know that EO.
Sky is well respected as a fantastic women's wrestler w
w E?
Speaker 4 (40:03):
Yes, because I well I do, because I've seen enough
and I know that it's one of those I think
if you hear their name and see people talking about them,
well you're gonna know. Okay, they're well respected, so that's cool.
But I'm just saying don't talk about what you don't
(40:26):
know about.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Yeah. Well, the other thing is is like, look if
somebody mentions Zo Sky and how good EO Sky is
or whoever, that you really don't know. There's this thing
called Google, There's this thing called YouTube. There's all kinds
of resources out there where if you really want to
know who a wrestler is, you could educate yourself pretty
(40:49):
damn quick instead of talking bad about something that you
have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. And for
God's sake, the biggest thing that annoy me, there's two
things that annoy me about the internet wrestling community. If
they don't know something, they will literally say, who just
(41:11):
go look it up? Why are you wasting everybody's time posting?
Speaker 6 (41:15):
Who?
Speaker 3 (41:16):
You know?
Speaker 1 (41:16):
What?
Speaker 2 (41:16):
I mean, it's just the dumbest thing that anybody can do.
The second thing, I don't know if I should even
bring this up, but I'm not even gonna bring it. Well, look,
the internet wrestling community likes what they like and they
ignore what they don't like. I'll just put it that way.
(41:37):
But even though they ignore what they don't like, which
there's nothing wrong with it, it doesn't preclude them from
lappender gums or using the little stubby fingers to type
out generous insults about something that they have absolutely no
idea what they're looking. Edit exposes people as being ignorant.
(41:58):
And because when you talk about something that you don't
have a clue what you're talking about. I'm sorry, but
you expose yourself. Nobody's smart enough to talk about brain
surgery without knowing anything about brain surgery. It's it's just
it's just the facts. Now, let's go to you. What
do you think about this list? Is there anything that
(42:21):
stood out to you?
Speaker 1 (42:25):
I haven't looked at the list yet, so no, I
just know who was like in the top five kind
of from browsing online, but I haven't looked in depth
at the list. So see, I'm taking your advice, Tolson,
I'm not just pretending to know.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Well, here's the thing, and here's a question that I
can ask you. So Saya Kaatani is number three on
this list by far, has probably arguably had the year
of years women's wrestling. She's had more matches this year
than both Tony Storm and to and Mercedes Monet combined,
(43:09):
like twenty more matches than both of them combined all right,
you think Tony Storm. I think Tony Storm has had
thirty four matches, Mercedes has had thirty one, and Saya
Kamatani has had like eighty three or something like that.
But one of the things, again, we're talking Pro Wrestling Illustrated,
(43:31):
which is obviously a North American company with probably North
American people on the committee. Do you think that having
a wrestler like Saya Kamatani who doesn't speak a word
of English, hertz are not only in a list like this,
(43:55):
but overall globally.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
I don't think it, because it brings more people to
look at her and get to know her that may
not and for people that are fans of hers, it's
good that they see her in, like you said, a
(44:19):
North American kind of publication, because it can bring more
fans into the fold. On both sides, I think it's good.
I think it's good to have a lot of the women,
like you were saying, on the list that Mercedes Monette
wrestled from all over the world. It brings more fans
(44:39):
in and brings us all together in something we all
really are passionate about. So I'm glad that they had
her there and I'm glad that they have the other
ladies on the list too. It's I think it's a
good thing.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Is there anybody that hasn't gone yet on this.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
No?
Speaker 2 (45:03):
All right, then let's go to our potpaur resection because
I think that the popa resection is going to be
quite uh interesting tonight. But I'm gonna throw it to
the uh to the podcast team here. Is there anything?
Does anybody have a potpourri that they want to bring up?
Speaker 1 (45:26):
I want to talk about my wrestling theories with the
Young Bucks because I think something big is going to
happen with them, but I don't know what. I usually
have a pretty good eye for what's going on kind
(45:46):
of behind the scenes, because I'm very much into the storytelling.
But I was watching the latest being the Elite episode,
and I just have a feeling that Ocada is going
to do something to the Young Bucks. Like everybody has
their eyes on Okada and Takeshta and what story they
(46:11):
have going. But I just keep getting the feeling that
he's going to do something to the Young Bucks. There's
that whole thing about them being pressure to join the
don Callous family, to come on over and join the
Don Callous family, and Okada just has a look about
(46:33):
him when he's talking to them that he's going to
do something to them, either in terms of kind of
backstabbing them or if it looks like they are going
to join the don Callus family, Okada is actually the
one that is going to kind of betray them. Where
(46:55):
everybody thinks that it's Takeshta, there's there's a big story.
Are you bruin there? And I was wondering if anyone
else is kind of caught onto it and has any
ideas about what it might be.
Speaker 4 (47:09):
I definitely noticed it, you know, last week when he's like,
don't take too long, and then again he was like
don't take too long. I feel like something's gonna happen
at full gear, Like the Young Bucks and Alexander will
win the match through some shenanigans and then they'll be
(47:31):
like beating Kenny Omega down and wanting the Young Bucks
to attack them. But they're gonna be They're gonna be
torn because even though they're it's strange, you know, Kenny
Omega is still their brother.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
You know, it's gonna be right.
Speaker 4 (47:50):
I know what I know we did stuff to him,
but there's a difference between me attacking my brother and
you attacking my brother. Like I can beat up my brother,
you can't. So I I think I think we could
see something happen at full gear there where they don't
(48:12):
join and Okada is hiss, like.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
But can your brother beat up my brother?
Speaker 3 (48:21):
Yeh probably, but you know.
Speaker 4 (48:25):
Like he's gonna I think he's gonna be pissed because
it's like, why would you pick Omega over me? I
beat him, I'm better than him. You know, I'm the guy.
Why don't you want me? Why am I not your brother?
Speaker 3 (48:40):
Why is it him? Like I can definitely see one
of those kind of like because o'conda is pretty.
Speaker 4 (48:48):
He's a pretty stowic guy, and most of the time,
you know, he'll do his little goofy stuff, but most
of the time, you know, he's pretty serious. So I
think it'd be interesting if he is, like you really
see some real emotion from him because he sees the
young buckses, you know, he sees them as brothers. He
(49:09):
wants them as part of his family. But they're gonna
choose Omega once again, and at least, you know, that's
kind of my theory on the whole situation. So yeah,
it's definitely interesting. I definitely want to see how all
that plays out.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
All right, Well, does anybody else have a pope reason
they want to talk about, because I've got a couple.
I have one, go ahead.
Speaker 6 (49:37):
I mentioned Megan Bain a while back, and so it
tells a little bit about her journey throughout this last
few weeks, and I just want to get props to
her because she's held her own and she's in this
tag tournament and stardom, and she went over there and
also did some trading shots with Bozilla, who, by the way,
I would really like to come back to AW whenever
(49:58):
she can. But she doing it, and like I said,
she deserves the most credit for everything that's going on,
even with the negativity that's going on with AW surrounding
to the two that left, which I'm sure we'll get
to later, but I just feel, you know, she did
(50:19):
the best she could in situation, and she's she's the
next star.
Speaker 5 (50:23):
I really do believe.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
So, yeah, did you happen to see the video highlights
of her confrontation with Mozilla?
Speaker 5 (50:33):
Yes, they traded shots quite well.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Oh my god, that was power bomb and dives and
everything else. I mean those two women for their size,
they are very athletic and very uh, I guess nimble
is the best way to put it. They've got a
lot of power, but they've got the athleticism to go
with it.
Speaker 4 (50:55):
Yeah, they're a clothesline and erman souplex change.
Speaker 6 (51:00):
That was.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
That was great? Like, I love that.
Speaker 4 (51:04):
I need to see some more of it, but I
only saw, like, you know, probably a forty second clip.
But man, a single match between them would be oh
so so much fun, just straight up hof battle, Like
I'd love to see that.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Yeah, I think everybody would. Does anybody else have a potporie?
Speaker 1 (51:32):
No?
Speaker 2 (51:33):
Well, let's uh talk about something that I found very
disturbing and I want to talk about it because did
you guys happen to see the Thanksgiving commercial that aw did?
Speaker 8 (51:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (51:53):
I loved it, right, but no, I didn't see it.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
You didn't see it. Well, it's their beware. It's got
it's basically for the people that haven't seen it. It's
basically one of those things where everybody shows up at
Brian Danielson's house and to have Thanksgiving dinner, and there
was the triangle of madness. There were the young Bucks
was Eddie Kingston. Uh, there was Tony Storm and Mina
(52:18):
Shirkawa and a few other people and they're all gathered
around the table and uh, Brian Danielson says, okay. He
gets up, stands up, and he yells out who brought
the turkey? And that disturbed me because Brian Daniels is
a vegan. What the hell is he doing wanting a turkey?
Speaker 3 (52:39):
All right?
Speaker 4 (52:40):
I saw I can't remember it a few I saw it. Like,
he's not a full long vegan. He's one of those
like ninety percent of the time he does vegan, but
he will, you know, if he like for Thanksgiving, he
would eat turkey, you know, something like that.
Speaker 3 (53:01):
So it, yeah, he's mostly.
Speaker 2 (53:08):
Okay. So it's kind of like it's like people that
eat that said that don't really smoke pot, but do
when they're awake.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
Okay, maybe he's maybe he meant that, what is it
that that to Ferky that Yeah, maybe he meant that
in kind of a joking way or something. Maybe it's
just a big joke.
Speaker 2 (53:33):
Well, well, Harley Cameron came through. She had the turkey
on her hand as a hand puppet. But that was
the turkey. It was It was a good commercial at
w He's been knocking it out of the park with
these commercials. Well, let's move on. I just being silly
because I thought that Brian Anderson was a vegan, full
(53:54):
on be vegan, not one of those dime store vegans,
you know. I thought he was one of those annoying vegans.
Speaker 5 (54:02):
He's a vegan with commitment issues.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
There you go. Yeah, but uh, I don't really want
to get into a whole lot about this, but I
did want to hear your guys' thoughts about this. Nixon
Nowle and Miranda Alise leaving Collision because well, the initial
story was that they left because they were booked to
lose Dana Jay and Tyme Mellow. That was not the case.
(54:26):
They left because it was only a three minute match.
They were booked to wrestle. What do you guys think
about this?
Speaker 3 (54:36):
They're idiots.
Speaker 4 (54:38):
I'm sorry. You can't you can't be like, oh, I'm
having trouble getting booking, and then when you get when
you get a booking for one of the two biggest
companies and in the country on national television, you can't
leave because they're not giving you enough time. Like, I'm sorry,
figure out how to make those three minutes. Like, there's
(55:02):
a difference between knowing your worth and overvaluing yourself, and
they overvalued themselves. Now they they've screwed themselves over most likely,
I mean, why would AW want to use them again
when they're like, you're not giving us what we want,
We're gonna leave and screw you over.
Speaker 3 (55:23):
No, the two women who.
Speaker 4 (55:25):
Took their spots made the most of their time, and
they are guaranteeing going to get more opportunities.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
You know, like maya world who took their time. I
believe in that p w I two fifty. She was
top one hundred. She's no joke, she's not a slouch.
Speaker 4 (55:46):
Yeah, both of those women are challenged and they didn't
all get three minutes.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
They're like, okay, we'll do it.
Speaker 4 (55:52):
Even having a vaccinator in the night, they're like, okay, yeah,
we're gonna take the opportunity that's being presented to us
and make the most. If you think you're too good
for that, you're never gonna make it in the business. Like,
because here's the deal. Thirty seconds and no offense could
lead to two minutes and a little offense, which could
(56:14):
lead to five minutes and decent offense, which could lead
to a competitive ten minute match, Like you never the
worst thing you can do is say I'm too good
for that, and that's what they did, and they've they've
made complete asses of themselves by following up with you
(56:35):
know the deal on Twitch and Instagram and like, you
went from having an opportunity with one of the two
biggest companies in the country to torpedoing your entire career
all because you thought you deserved more time in your
second ever match being an unsigned talent.
Speaker 2 (56:58):
And it's not like the they were just given this
opportunity and then thank you for coming, You're going home.
They actually was reported that they actually filmed a vignette
for a backstage interview for Rigam Honor, so they were
definitely going to be put into a program in that
which they probably screwed themselves out of.
Speaker 5 (57:17):
Yeah, yeah, look, I see.
Speaker 6 (57:22):
This is what Darby Ala was talking about a while ago,
was we don't need people in w in AAW who
are there just because oh look I was on I
was on WWE programming for not that long, but that
means I'm better than you. We just don't AW doesn't
need it. It was a bad move. I like to
(57:45):
say I understand where they're coming from, but I don't, because.
Speaker 5 (57:49):
You take what you're given and I don't.
Speaker 6 (57:51):
And I just think they they thought they were better,
but talent wise, I really had never heard of them
before this. I know people have you know, mentioned, but
I just don't know them from anywhere. I know Kelson
said early you shouldn't say who, but I really don't
know what. I don't really care to look up who
these two were so.
Speaker 2 (58:13):
Right, well, you know, not to be disrespectful, but this
news broke a long time ago. If you don't know who,
that means you didn't really take the time or effort
to look them up. So it is what it is.
Just you know, Nixon Dowell used to be teaking knocks
in w w E. Before that, she was wrestling overseas.
(58:34):
As matter of fact, she was a participant in the
first ever steel cage match. I believe it was a
three way, but it was a steel cage match, the
first ever steel cage match in England, and one of
her opponents was timeless Tony Storm in that match and
(58:59):
Storm won the match by the way. Go ahead, dad,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
Oh no, that's okay. I was just gonna say something
about them. I don't I don't know a lot about them,
but one or both of them I know, supposedly has
some kind of interpersonal issues with Megan Bain. There's some
(59:24):
kind of dislike on one or both of their parts
back and forth with Megan Bain. So I don't know
if that played into anything. And also I think it
was the last podcast we were talking about with about
toxic fans and how some wrestling fans really have bad behavior.
(59:48):
I know that after supposedly after Collision aired and news
broke about them walking out, they were saying that they
woke up the next day to death threat. It's online,
and that's just what we were talking about with with
fans and people that are really cruel to people that
(01:00:10):
are out there, you know, for our enjoyment and entertainment.
So no matter what happened, there's no place for that
kind of stuff and death threats.
Speaker 4 (01:00:23):
Death threats are completely ridiculous for something like that. Like look,
I obviously agree with what they did at all. I
think they were dumb for it. I think their follow
up to it was dumb, But sending someone death threats
over that is just you were the worst kind of
I don't even want to say person because I don't
(01:00:47):
want to associate those people with human beings. Like if
you were sending death threats to someone over professional wrestling,
you need to seek professional.
Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
Help, you do. You know what?
Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
He didn't have We done have shut the hell up yet,
because I feel like people who said it's over professional
wrestling need to shut the hell up.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
We had done to shut the hell up yet, but
now we have.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
Now we've got it. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Sorry to from you.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
It was warranted.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Well no, but I you know, but yeah, I mean, look,
you know, shut the hell up. So Marcus something to say.
Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Touch on this subject a little bit.
Speaker 7 (01:01:45):
So I felt a little bamboozle after they did that
because I was someone that was actually excited to see them. Well,
I remember Nixon, she was actually gonna be in the
May Young Clanc and I think she blew out her
knee and she was coming back, and I think she
was actually gonna beat Real Ripley when Real Ripley had
(01:02:08):
changed her whole game or whatever, and then she blew
out her knee again. And after that it was kind
of like, you know, she was around, but she really
wasn't doing she had a nice tag team with the
tai H As far as Miranda Ali's I remember her
because she was in the Ring of Honor Women's titled
(01:02:30):
tournament and she lost to Rock San Perez. I always
want to say, maybe I'm saying, but yeah, So I
(01:02:50):
thought they would be, you know, a w's building up
a tag division. You know, they come in, you know,
show that they can, you know, work around, work with
this company, work with the wrestlers. And then I'm watching Collision,
I see the match, and I get on Twitter, and
Miranda's tweet is the first thing I see. It's one
(01:03:12):
of the first things that I see. And apparently that
was the clue to everyone that something happened, Like nobody
else had reported anything until she tweeted that about they
had so much to tell, like nobody said anything until
she said something, and that kind of snowballed into what
we have now. And I just think they kind of
(01:03:35):
shot themselves in the foot. And the reason I know
they shot themselves in the foot is every a top
wrestler that either tweeted about it or sub tweeted about it.
None of them were in the defense of Nixon or Miranda.
And I saw the interview where Nixon was complaining about
(01:03:56):
not getting bookings and not having not getting enough matches.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
Yeah, and so I was like, yeah, look, you got
to start somewhere. You can't just expect to go in
a company and just take it over, because especially when
in your old company you were a mid carter. I mean,
you're not someone like EO. Sky or rear Ripley. If
(01:04:29):
they were to come over to AW, they would be
superstars right out the bat, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (01:04:34):
I mean he was released twice.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
So look I did see. Yeah, well a lot of
that to do with I mean, she is injury prone,
so even hiring her is risky because of her injuries.
But look, I saw people like Tyavalkyri respond. You know,
I saw people women that had wrestled on AW but
(01:05:03):
were never signed to AW, wrestled Ring of Honor, who
never signed a Ring of Honor, talking about we would
love to have one of them. Nicky XS said that
she had a sixty second match on Ring of Honor,
but she looked good doing it, and she doubled her
followers or something like that during that time and became
(01:05:27):
more popular just because of the sixty second match. She did.
But beyond that, look at some of the women that
are popular now in AW. I will throw names out
at you, and these women are all women that when
they first came or first presented in AW they were
(01:05:47):
jobbing out like crazy, participating in multiple squash matches. They
had some matches that went longer, but they were getting
beat the hell. Willow Nightingale, Queen Amanada, Julia Hart, sky
Blue sky Blue is a really good example of this.
(01:06:11):
This woman was just of course, she was on dark
and dark elevation a lot. She was getting squashed constantly.
Somebody needs the mute. She was getting squashed constantly. Then
when it came to twenty twenty three, sky Blue had
more matches. Sky Blue had more matches in twenty twenty
(01:06:35):
three than any other AEW wrestler men and women. Sky
Blue was number one in twenty twenty three, and that
was because she started out small and she worked herself
up to where she was wrestling consequently in the women's
division in twenty twenty three. Sky Blue had more wins
(01:06:57):
than any other woman in twenty twenty three, and she
had more losses than any other women in twenty twenty three.
She was the top of the winds at top of
the losses in twenty twenty three. But look at what
sky Blue is right now if it had not been
for that injury that she suffered, and frankly even with
(01:07:21):
Julia Heart's injury as well. I mean it kind of
put the Sisters of Sin on the shelf for quite
a while. They're back now. Sky Blue is doing fantastic.
Julia Hart's doing fantastic. Julia Hart got out to a
slow start, as did I think sky Blue, but they
really came into their own over these last several weeks.
(01:07:42):
And what they did, they looked so good in CMLL.
I thought they looked fantastic in CMLL. They were in
their element. And don't forget these were you know, up
at elevation too, you know, in the Mexico City and
all that. You know, So that's that's something else. But
the point is is that you've got to work. You've
(01:08:02):
got to earn your spot. You're not just giving it
unless you're a main eventor from somewhere else. Nixon Nowell
was never a main eventor in WWE, so she shouldn't
be treated as such. You get three minutes, You take
the three minutes that you go with it. It's not
like wins and losses are going to, you know, define you.
(01:08:25):
But here's another question. Does anybody here, because it's crossed
my mind, does anybody here think that this whole thing
is a work? No, it kind of stinks like a
work to me.
Speaker 4 (01:08:44):
I just feel like it's too weird to be a
work like. And also their responses aren't really they don't
seem like it's a work. Just because of the Instagram
post and.
Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
The twitch and all that. It's like, well.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Though, buddy, that's what you do.
Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
But they seem like they don't seem like genuinely.
Speaker 8 (01:09:14):
Up set.
Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
They seem like they're just like whatever we left because
we're better than that. Like it's just but is it
that what you would do if you were doing the work?
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
The other thing I'll bring up, Chris, listen, why is
it that Maya World did that? And I apologize I
can't remember your name, but the why is it that
Maya World? And then the other woman we're there. It's
such a drop of the hat short notice.
Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
Because they were having a match on Ring of Honor afterwards.
Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
Okay, well that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
Yeah, it's not like they were just there and not
going to be doing anything like they stepped up, you know,
even though they had another match or a schedule. Like
I think if it was the work you would have had,
you know, people who don't get a lot of time
already that already worked there instead of you know, using
(01:10:10):
people you already had something planned for. That's another big reason.
And also if they haven't really responded to, like if
it was the work they would have, you know, replied
to some of the other wrestlers in a w SA
stuff where I haven't really seen.
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Any of that from them their own stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
They haven't you know, they haven't replied to you know,
let tie of Valkyrie. I would have been an easy
deal if it was the work they reply there. And
there's too much you they should have done if it
was a work that they haven't done.
Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
Okay, all right, Andy, Also the opinion on this before
we wrap up the show.
Speaker 4 (01:11:03):
I actually did have one pop I thought of as
we were in discussing, Okay, go for it, an well,
anyone else who wants to comment on the work.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Thing, Marcus, did you have something to say?
Speaker 7 (01:11:16):
I had that came to my mind as well, So
I was gonna wait.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
To okay, So Chris Goo have with your potpourri them,
We'll let Marcus go with.
Speaker 4 (01:11:28):
His Okay, not completely awd, but Okada has talents Kanahatski
for his retirement match, and the i w TP title
match is set between Kenoski Taqushka and Yo Tasuiti. I
(01:11:48):
you know, I'm one of those who like, yeah, the
world title should probably be the main event, but I
think this is one of those times where you make
an exception because not just because, I mean, it's Tanahashi's
last match, and Tanahashi is a legendary rivalry that is
(01:12:12):
responsible for or at least partially responsible for, you know,
New Japan rising back up. It's I think it's just
going to be such an emotional match that nothing is
going to be able to follow it. Like to Chestin,
since you are going to have a great match, they've
had great matches before, you know, but they could have
(01:12:37):
the match of the century. But I just feel like
the crowd is going to be emotionally drained after Tanahassee
and Okada, and I just feel like it has to
be the main event.
Speaker 3 (01:12:52):
Just want on that.
Speaker 2 (01:12:55):
Yeah, I mean, look, I mean all you have to
do is go back to Revolution two years ago. Sting
and Darby Allen against the Young Bucks was not the
best match on the card, but it was the best
match on the card. It should have been the mean event.
You understand what I'm saying there.
Speaker 4 (01:13:12):
I completely agree with you, Like, hey, there's sometimes a
mass is bigger than the title, and I mean it's
a ton of hashy like this is he's the ace
the crowd. You know, he's the guy for New Japan.
I think I just don't. I don't see how you
(01:13:35):
don't make it the main.
Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Of Nope, I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
I do.
Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
I agree with you that. Well, then let's go to
Marcus and uh bring us on.
Speaker 7 (01:13:48):
To speak on with the ton of high Kada. So
he kind of got that with It also opens the
door for to teste Ilkada World Zoom.
Speaker 3 (01:13:57):
Which is nice.
Speaker 7 (01:14:00):
And then this is kind of an r ip moment
to the Royal Rampage that we're going to hit this year.
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
Uh yeah, well, okay, are you here? Guess he's not
all right? So that is going to be ignition. We
normally do a all the Talk, which is our Dynamite
(01:14:36):
review showed right after Dynamite, but because tomorrow night's Blooding
Guts Dynamite is two and a half hours long. If
we're mostly on the East Coast, we're gonna take a
break for the week. We'll be back in two weeks
for for the show on Wednesday after Dynamite, and of
(01:14:57):
course next Tuesday. Keep forgetting that we've got Full Gear
coming up in less than two weeks now, right, so
I believe next Tuesday is the go home Dynamite. We'll
be doing our prediction show, and that's one thing that
I think we need to look forward to. Tomorrow Night
is both Tomorrow Night and on Collision will be matches
(01:15:23):
and stories being built very quickly for Full Gear. Anyway,
forty aw Fanhob podcast team, thanks for listening on x
and on Twitch and on Apple Podcasts and on Spotify, iHeartRadio,
Apple or Amazon Music and Audible. We will see you
(01:15:43):
