kind of want to lead off with is is speedball

Mike Bailey. He had this really, really good match, a
really good match. People were really I don't know why
I keep saying really so much, uh really, but anyway,
people were were praising this match is one of the
best TV matches of the year, if not even a

candidate for Match of the Year, the match between Speedball
Mike Bailey and Kyle Fletcher, and then of course Speedball
Mike Bailey then wrestled Kevin Knight in the Continental Classic.
What was that our collision? And that was a different
kind of match, but it was still really good. There,
I said, really again, did you guys see these two matches?

Yes, and I saw the SA I saw the one
versus Kyle Fletcher, and yeah, it was.

I definitely say it was the TV back of the Year,
And I mean I'm pretty sure I know I t
we did Match of the Year contender, like it wouldn't.
The match with Fletcher was so freaking good, Like those
two just went ball to the wall, you know, everything

they had for almost twenty minutes, and I mean, just
an amazing match all around.

By also I also give it, I said, I also
give it ten thousand pictures of Adam Cole, and I'll

Bailey is so dang cute. He's adorable. Look at him.

Yeah, with a mullet. There's still so many mullets in wrestling. Yeah,
I mean, gosh, it's like how many. It's just weird
that there's so many wrestlers that have mullets where you
really don't see them. I don't see them out in

one thing I will say about this match, aw made
a two minute and I know that it is this long.
It's a two minute and twenty five second highlight reel
of this match that they posted, and it got posted
on different you know, social media, different on acts and
on Blue Sky and Reddit and on one of our subreddits,

Greatness of Wrestling. It was posted and you could you
don't look, I don't know how other way to put this,
but it's a two minute and twenty five second highlight reel,
a highlight reel of a nineteen minute and ten second match.
Remember this thing almost went to the time limit, you know,

the Mike Bailey when he got the pin, time was
running out. They were in desperation mode at that point.
They had just announced one minute left when Mike Bailey
got the pin a few seconds later. But anyway, people watched.
I don't even think they watched the entire two minute

and twenty five second highlight reel. But you're gonna have these.
I'm just gonna say it's sports entertainment fans that have
no knowledge of professional wrestling. I'm just gonna say it.
I'm sorry, but it's the way I feel, uh saying
things like oh it's flippy shit, no selling, It looked

like choreographed ballet gymnastics, no storytelling. Seriously, you get this
ont of a two minute and twenty five second highlight

you think that's fair helm.

They watch a small clip and, like you said, may
not even watch the entire thing and use that as

let's get back into serious stuff though. With the speedball
Mike Bailey, I mean, look, when he had this match
against Kyle Fletcher, this was really an opportunity for a
speedball Mike Bailey, who, in my opinion, has been doing okay,

But okay is not good enough when you're surrounded by
the athletes that AW does put out there. This was
his coming out party. Would you agree with me in
that this was, by bar the best speedball Mike Bailey
has presented himself in AW.

Absolutely. I love Jet Speed as a team. They're like
one of my favorites. There's so much fun. They have
great chemistry. But one thing that's been awesome about this
Continental Classic is that it's given both of them a
chance to shine on their own merits.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Oh yeah, for sure. Yeah. I mean both have had
singles matches, they're great as a team. You know, Bailey
had some big matches early on when he came in
and they were, you know great. This match felt like
the first time we're seeing that, Okay, this is the

guy who is really brilly go. Like, you know, like
some people knew like he had great matches in the NA,
he has some great matches in New Japan, you know,
other independence and stuff, but like this was the match
that I think sold a lot of people on speedball,

being like, Okay, he could be a top tier guy.

Yeah, but now look so now Speedball has won two
in a row because he's beaten uh Kyle Fletcher, and
of course he then beat his partner in jet Speed,
Kevin Knight. Do you think that his streak will continue?
Do you think that he may actually make the semi
finals in the Continental Classic or do you think that

he's kind of gone as far as he's gonna go
in this What are your thoughts?

Gosh, I hope so the more Speedball the better, just
like the amount of great matches he could have, like
going into the tournament is just astounding.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
What about you, Chris, I'm a big famous Feedball, so
I'd love to see it. It's it's one of those
I could see it going either way, you know, because
there are so many good wrestlers in the Continental Plastic.
You know, he could he could make the semifinals. He
could lose his next two. I'm personally rooting for him

because I like his matches. All three of his matches
have been fantastic. These last two. You know, the match
with Kyle Fletcher, that's a put on the map kind
of match, and then the one with Kevin Knight was
so great because the back and forth and him busting
out the Flamingo driver for the first time. He's attempted

it before, but I think only once or twice, but
this time he got it. That was what he needed
to beat his partner who knows him so well. It's
been a really great tournament for him, and yeah, I'd
love to say and make the semifinals.

Well here's where I think, and I'm gonna ask you
to see whether you guys agree with me or not.
But when I look at the Kyle Fletcher versus Speedball
Mike Bailey match, I looked at it and the way
Bailey came through in that match and a convincing I'm
not saying that he convincingly beat Kyle Fletcher. I'm saying

that he was convincing as far as being a good contender,
a good matchup with Kyle Fletcher. I don't think that
it is necessary for Mike Bailey to actually make the
quarterfinals in the Continental Classic. And the reason why I

believe that is that we have a rematch begging to
be done with Kyle Fletcher and they could do that
after maybe Kyle Fletcher wins the TNT Championship, or maybe
they can have a match together against each other to

determine the number one contender for the TNT Championship. I
don't know, but that's just something that I was thinking about.

Yeah, I see your point, but he may not need it,
but it'd still be nice to see.

Yeah, I agree with with. You know, I picked Kyle
Fletcher to win the Continent Classic, so you know, could
have a rematch after that or that title as well,
or you know, true for the national title.

He's the thing about this tournament is you have you
can build up future stories use current story, and you know,
you can highlight someone who maybe they're not gonna win,
maybe they're not even gonna make the semi finals, but
they have great, amazing matches throughout. And that's something that

the aw fans appreciate. Like it's wins and losses matter,
but it's also performance.

Like you know, you could have a guy.

Lose ten matches in a row, but if he's having
great matches and fighting hard throughout, the w fans are
gonna appreciate that. Even you know, I said, even if
he loses his next two, they could be great matches
and he can still be a guy. That's like, Okay,

we know he can be top tier.

Guys, right and not look like they're wrestling down to
have him win. I mean, I got the impression absolutely
the Kyle Fletch was giving his absolute best in that match,
as was Mike Bailey. Yeah, so, you know, I personally
don't believe that Mike Bailey is going to make the

semi finals the Continental Classic, but I also believe that
he doesn't need to because he's already established himself with
one With that one match against Kyle Fletcher. I think
that it is he's gotten a lot more notice from
fans than he ever could have against anybody else. And

that's a testament to Kyle Fletcher as well. I mean,
I think that he doesn't get enough credit, you know,
for what he does.

Oh yeah, the chemistry between those two in that match
was freaking amazingly. They they felt they worked off of
each other, and you know, they take each other freaking
everything in that match, Like, yeah, it takes two to tango,
as they say. So, Yeah, how Fletcher definitely deserves its

flowers on that one as well.

I kind of want to segue into the next topic
because Mike Bailey is one of the wrestlers that I
consider part of this is that there are wrestlers that
have either proven their worth with AW or have had
long tenures in AW who have never had a belt. Now,
don't get me wrong, you know, I don't want people

coming after me saying a belt doesn't make the wrestler.
I absolutely agree with that, but it is something that
you know what, I think every wrestler wants to have
a belt at some point, But there are wrestlers like
if you're if you're watching this, the graphic has sky
Blue up there, who has been with AW for god

knows how long and uh has never had a belt
around on her waist. Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight. I mean,
what are some other men and women in AAW that
have never had an AAW belt? I mean, I can
even put Athena in there. She's never had an AAW belt.
She's had a ring of honor belt, but it's not

the same thing. It doesn't have the same prestige. I'm
sorry to insult anybody to thinks otherwise, but I personally
do not believe that a ring of honor belt has
carries the same weight as as an AAW belt. So
what are some other wrestlers that maybe being left behind,
and then all of the wrestlers that maybe being left behind.

Which ones do you think may actually win a belt?
You know, in twenty twenty.

Six, Dark Orders should win the trio's titles.

Have they had a belt before? Though? That's the problem.

how good and underrated he was for the longest time.

More Dark Order? I'm talking about the current trio Evil Uno,
Stu Grayson. Oh sorry, I wish he was back, Evil Youno,
John Silver, Alex Brims. Yeah, they've neither one of them
have ever held a title in a w and I've
long said the trio division needs to be reworked. You need,

you know, real trios and make it the fun title.
Make it, you know, one that's regularly defended. Use guys
that don't have anything to do. You've can have some
short range, you can have some long range. You can
do a lot of stuff with it, but we got
to get it on like a real trio, not you know,

a guy that's also world champion. Nothing. I like them.
I just wish the trios titles were doing something else
and actually matters right now, because.

Yeah, well, I mean, I'm sure I'll reiterate it briefly,
but I do not believe that AW should have a
trios titles. I think those should be exclusive to Ringabater
fair enough.

I'm a big fan of six man tag matches, you know.
I think they can be a lot of fun and
you know, when done well, and it could be one
of those I think the division could be something right
there middle of the show, you know that the fans
can enjoy have some fun with and lee room for

card low lower mid belts, they're.

They're they're low card, they're not even they're not big card.

I would say they Okay, they should be mid to
low right there, middle of the show. Fun matches with
you know, crazy trios like the Dark Order. I'm not
a fan of them, but they're good. Heels. The frat
House Shane Taylor Promotions exactly.

But but that's the reason why I'm saying the good
actual trios teams, even the Dark Order, have been on
Ring of Honor more often than not the Frat House
Ring of Honor, Shane Taylor Promotions Ring of Honor. I mean,
all of the good trios teams that are actually teams
are on Ring of Honor. That's why I'm saying it

should the six band tag titles, because that's what they
call it on Ring of Honor. It don't call it
the Trios titles. They should be exclusive to Ring Him Honor,
in my opinion, and just eradicate them completely from AW.

I'd rather just have one pair, you know, of trios
titles and just have them on. You know, you can
feature him mostly on Ring of Honor, but then you
can bring him on, you know, Tellision when you need,
you know, title mass to add to the show.

challengers for the Women's World Championship of the Tag Titles
against the Baby I'm sure, and we'll probably get something

we are going to have matches. But the thing is
is that well, the Continental Classic is going to take
color care of itself as far as the story goes there,

set up. They do need to do something between Jamie

Hater and Chris Statlander because right now they're too chummy
in my opinionion. They do need to come up with
something for the Babies rat. They need to come up
with something for Mark Briscoe. They need to come up
with something, you know, from Mercedes Monett. Probably there's just

too many open ends and there's no story. They're literally
when you say, okay, what's Mark Briscoe's story, there is none.

boy do they get their ringtime. Because I looked it
up about a month ago, and at the time that

it came to just over how many matches that Saya
Kamatani had by yourself. So you're looking at, you know,
a woman in Saya Kamatani that's averaging wrestling just under

There are a lot of times with the Japanese promotions
it'll be like you could have three matches back to
back to back and then take a day off have

have a day off wrestle to you know, have a
day off, wrestle another three and then have like a
week to ten days off. So like when when you
think of that too, it makes how many matches she's

great chemistry. But one thing that's been awesome about this
Continental Classic is that it's given both of them a
chance to shine on their own merits.

singles matches, they're great as a team. You know, Bailey
had some big matches early on when he came in
and they were, you know great. This match felt like

like the amount of great matches he could have, like

there are so many good wrestlers in the Continental Plastic.

this time he got it. That was what he needed
to beat his partner who knows him so well. It's
been a really great tournament for him, and yeah, I'd
love to say and make the semifinals.

But when I look at the Kyle Fletcher versus Speedball
Mike Bailey match, I looked at it and the way
Bailey came through in that match and a convincing I'm

that he was convincing as far as being a good contender,
a good matchup with Kyle Fletcher. I don't think that
it is necessary for Mike Bailey to actually make the

after maybe Kyle Fletcher wins the TNT Championship, or maybe
they can have a match together against each other to

Ayakamaani from Stardom is Tokyo Sports MVP. She not only
won the Women's MVP, she won the overall MVP, becoming

award to win the award. And that's saying something, especially
in Japan.

is that when you look the big difference between stardom
and a w and stardom in WWE is that Stardom
is a women's only promotion, so that in and of itself,

for bringtime. You're going to get your ring time, and
boy do they get their ringtime. Because I looked it
up about a month ago, and at the time that
I looked it up, Tony Storm and Mercedes Monette. If

it came to just over how many matches that Saya
Kamatani had by yourself. So you're looking at, you know,
a woman in Saya Kamatani that's averaging wrestling just under
every like just I mean just over. When I looked
at it, I think it's every three point two days

she has a wrestling match, and that's tough. That is
a lot of wrestling matches. Well, I believe.

There are a lot of times with the Japanese promotions
it'll be like you could have three matches back to
back to back and then take a day off have
two more like the tours they run. Is saying schedule, really,
you're yeah, it's every three point two, but it's because

you'll wrestle three days, have a day off wrestle, to
have a day off wrestle to you know, have a
day off, wrestle another three and then have like a
week to ten days off. So like when when you
think of that too, it makes how many matches she's
had even that much.

I mean it's not just Syakonatandi that does this. When
you look at Stardom and Marigold and t J p W,
which are the three prominent I would most prominent, I

of matches. These were working, they are working, So give
them their flowers, you know, watch them, you know, make
their make their time, and and they're good. And they're
so good. Oh my god, they're good. They're so fun

like fantasy football. Watching the NFL. It kind of just
makes it a little bit more interesting. It makes it

you pick an upset and you're right, you can gloate
