Speaker 2 (00:07):
Four three two one zero All engine running.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
It's Tuesday. You know what that means. It's time for
Ignition with the aew FANDAB podcast team. This is Kelson
and we are here live on x and on Twitch,
and of course we are going to be posting this
on a Spotify, Apple podcast or wherever you listen to

(00:46):
your finest podcast. It'll be available tomorrow. We just saw
Russell Dream from Saint Louis and we're going to talk
about some of Russell Dream, not all of it, because
we've got a lot to talk about, but we are
going to start by talking about the main event from

(01:06):
Russell Dream. Guys, what did you think of this thing?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Look at Sting? He looks like the coolest old man
who ever lived.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
I love Sting and this is drawing for me to see. Honestly,
I've it's it's hard to take in him being different looking,
but it's what he's going with.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Old man. Sting looked great. Like I want to say
it was Brian Alvarez on the Wrestling Observer Alive or
radio where he's like, Sting looked like that old dude
that everyone in town was like, oh you don't mess
with that guy.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
He'll mess you up. Like you just you don't touch
that dude.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
But I want to see Sting under the White Beast
Mortos mask at some point down the line, the next,
the next, you know, the new awesome white Mortos like
he pulls it off and his white haired Sting.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
So short, was so good see him?

Speaker 7 (02:03):
Yeah, Anto was trying out of Halloween costume.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, but what did.

Speaker 7 (02:11):
I'm not saying that is past. I'm just saying to
the white it was starring. You've never seen him like that.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
But well, let's let's talk about Let's talk about the
match instead of what Sting looked like. Uh. Look, look,
did the match live up to your expectations as a whole?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
No, my expectations are really really high as a sicko.
From what I saw they there was some crazy stuff
that the the aquarium spot notably was bonkers, but I
was expecting you know, like where's the violence, where's the
blood spray?

Speaker 7 (02:56):
Yeah, they were definitely hampered by the Monster Athletic Commission
not allowing the mean no blood, no fighting in the crowd.
That really hurts a match. It was still a good match,
but and I know you don't need blood, but there's
something about a match like that you need to see it.

(03:19):
You need to see like that visual representation of through
you know, like, Okay, these guys would be crap out
of stuff, I would go ahead.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I just I was hoping more. I really was.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
I wanted.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
A lot, a lot more because the way they built
it up that Darby doesn't give up, Mop doesn't give up,
and then he ends up giving up in a sharpshooter.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
Sorry spoiler alert.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
I don't know, but anyway, but that's just maybe it
was because of this commission, maybe, but it felt like
a regular Death Riders match for this whole bunch of
interface and all that stuff, it just felt flat to me.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I may have a contrarian opinion.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
I actually think.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Everybody's opinion there is really valid. I think those are
good perspectives. I am not a huge fan of like
the deathmatch style, and I felt lately AW has been
doing too much of that to the point where it
doesn't have the impact, like I'll enjoy it, like when

(04:28):
Swerve and Hanger were doing their stuff, but I need
a couple months between those, and I felt like they've
been doing them too much, and so I assumed this
was going to be another one of those, and I
was kind of cringey, being like, man, you know, I
don't know if I can deal with another one again.
I did not know about the Missouri Athletic Commission stuff
until afterwards. And for me, I actually enjoyed this more

(04:53):
than I think I would have with all the blood
and stuff, just because it had been a little bit
much for me in particular. I know other people feel differently,
and it's valid. There's no wrong answer here. My main problem, actually,
my only real problem with the match is the finish.
It was clear when Sting gave Darby the bat the
significance of Derby hitting Mox's leg and his knee specifically

(05:16):
was going to play into the finish. He was supposed to,
like just destroy Mox's knee with the bat, put him
in the sharpshooter. Him saying I quit there would have
made sense. They didn't focus on that enough, And like
others said, I was kind of confused how the ending
came up so quick, Like Mox is a killer, he
shouldn't have tapped out or said I quit so much.
But watching him back, I realized they completely messed up

(05:37):
that and the announcers just did not focus on it enough.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
When he tapped out.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
They needed a good ten seconds to twenty seconds of
Mox just an excruciating pain before he said I quit,
go ahead.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
I think Jesternett was going to chime in there.

Speaker 7 (05:50):
I was.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
I can't really verify his source, unfortunately, but I heard
like everything was running along, so they really like had
no choice but to cut things than they wanted.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
That makes sense, Yeah, that was kind of obvious, you know,
not did you have anything that you wanted to add
or storm?

Speaker 8 (06:11):
For me, I would agree that it's getting to be
a little much with all of the blood and the
the kind of it's almost gruesome to me in a way.
I don't mind a good death match, but it's it's
getting to be a lot with them. And one thing

(06:32):
I would have really liked to see more out of
this match is more Darby and Mox one on one.
I am absolutely sick and tired of Wheeler Yudah and
Claudio and and and what's his name Daniels runs out there,

(06:52):
and I'm really tired of Marina Shafir. It would be
nice to see Mox do his thing all by himself.
So he doesn't need the help, and I'm really really
tired of seeing the help. It's overused and they can
do better than that. But I like seeing old man

(07:13):
sing always, always a joy.

Speaker 7 (07:16):
M hm.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
I feel the same way about the death writers. I
really think that it's been a year. It's time. Hopefully
I try to end this soon because it's the same
type of match every time in involvement, and to me,
it make if if that's a character that he's going
for the MAXX is going for where he has to
have help with me and he's not this big old
bad guy that he says he is, and that's great, but.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
If not, I think it hurts mocks.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I agree, Storm. Do you have anything you wanted to add?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, I actually I'm I guess I would say I'm
like a real sicko because I love the violence. I
think it's fantastic. It gives me old school you c
W vibes.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
I enjoy it, I really do. But I did feel
a little let down with the match, especially with Moxley
giving up so quickly. That kind of bummed me. But
ultimately I thought it was a pretty good match, and
I'm curious though as to what I think it was

(08:22):
Net and Barry. How do you guys feel about uh,
oh god, what is coming up? Why am I blanking the.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Chocular bloody guts?

Speaker 1 (08:42):
How do you feel about little guts because that's gonna
get gross?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Well, well, I don't We've got a lot to talk
about it. I don't want to go too far off
with blood and guts because we do have blood and
guts coming up November twelfth, and we'll talk. We'll assess
your question storm later on. In my opinion, this match,

(09:07):
like Barry, when you do something too many times, like
a tornado match or a Texas death match style match,
it does lose some of the charm. I guess if
he would call, you know, bleeding profusely charming. But this
match still had. Look, the fish tank thing was something

(09:28):
that we've not seen before, right. The fingernail thing drove
me insane. Now I was Some of you probably know
this already, but I was born death and I had
an operation when I was about five six years old
to correct that issue. But part of it was I

(09:49):
became susceptible to infections after the operation, and I had
to take all kinds of weird medicines for that, and
one of the medicines caused all of my fingernails and
all of my toenails to fall out, And let me
tell you that is hella painful. And when I saw

(10:10):
when I saw that fingernail spot with the skewer, I mean,
I was almost in tears. It made me so uncomfortable,
you know, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
But look, hey, can I talk to Storm for a second, Like,
I'm with you Storm, like I enjoy a good death match,
So like Kelson's saying, like I was squirming like when
he was two in the things under the fingernails, like Helson,
like I was squirming. I had no idea the Missouri
Athletic Commission did not allow blood, Like I didn't know
that was a thing, right, I just was not.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
So I kept waiting for the blood.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I thought he was going to stab him like mox
In with the skewers before, and it was sticking in
his back and stuff. And I kept waiting for the
blood the whole time, thinking I was nobody bleeding, And
coming back.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
To Helston's point, maybe it's just me, but I thought.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
They did some really really creative stuff, like you said,
I'd never seen before. I'd never seen the fish tank
Darby getting thrown. How many feet is that It's got
to be ten fifteen feet?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
That is definitely a lot.

Speaker 6 (11:15):
Yeah, Like, yeah, I thought they did some.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
And then the skewerst thing, I thought they did some
really creative stuff I'd never seen before that maybe cringe
in a different way without grossing, like without going to
the well.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
On the blood, I.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Guess I'm actually I'm with Kelson a little bit. On
the nails. The nails are the one thing that got me.
And I feel like it's because I watched way too
many like horror and like psychological movies that just kind
of mess you up. And I've seen like a lot
of movies like certain scenes where they that always happens

(11:49):
and it scares me and grosses me out and makes
me cringe. That was like the one part I could
not handle of it.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Same.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
I cringed so hard.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
Yeah here and no blood, like they didn't even need
blood to do it.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Well there, Yeah, it was very cerebral, it was psychological. Uh.
The fish tank thing did not have an effect on
me whatsoever. I thought that was kind of funny, to
be honest with you. Uh, But but the fingernail thing
was like we need to have a fingernail match now.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I mean seriously, the fish thing that he didn't like
blow out water like we always see on TV in
the movies, and that makes it seem so much more dramatic.
And his head was just in there, like you can
see him holding his breath, and I'm just like water man.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah, I do want to address something. Well, actually it's
something that MK wanted to talk about. MK. Are are
you here? Uh you want to talk Just let's have
like a maybe a five minute discussion about what you
wanted to talk about. Go ahead, MK.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Well, I don't know. I think Sarah Stock is more
of a trainer producer. I don't know what she's called.
But she came out and said that people people, they
shouldn't be doing that in front of kids and her
best Helen Lovejoy impression, and then a man of Huber
came out and said, you know it's called parenting. Uh,

(13:11):
your kids shouldn't be watching a well known two well
known people who are well known for taking things to extreme.
And I quit match. But I thought that was the
most tame thing to get kicked off over. If you're
gonna say something, say something about the multiple things. Yeah,
multiple death matches things instead of your head kitchchain.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah, look look at kay. I've been watching I've been
watching professional wrestling for many, many, many years, and I've
seen multiple times where people have been thrown over the ropes,
off the cage, off of the cage, hit the head
with baseball bats, breast knuckles, hairs, you know.

Speaker 7 (13:56):
Tags W exclusive.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
This is not a W exclusion. This is not a
W exclusive stuff. There's a reason why it says TVPG
or TV fourteen in the top left hand corner of
your screen, amda Uber is exactly right. Parental guidance means
parental guidance. If a fish tank is what you're upset about,

(14:27):
then what in the hell are you doing in professional wrestling?
You know? This goes into a new feature that we
come up with for the aw Pantel Magnician podcast, and
it's called Shut the Hell Up Sarah stuff.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Talk about the hell up? Yet everybody.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
M dumb ass thing to talk about? Yeah, I got
to make a graphic for shut the Hell Up. You know,
but our inaugural shut the Hell Up recipient is Sarah stock.
You could you can accept you expect the toilet paper

(15:13):
with a brown Smudge with the words shut the hell up,
I You're in box soon. Look, we got we gotta
move on because we've got a lot more to talk about.
And probably one of the biggest things that came out
of the Tailgate brawl was the announcement aw women's tag

(15:35):
team bracket reveal coming on Dynamite. Uh they didn't say
how many teams there are, did they? So it's pretty
much so it's pretty much all you know, speculation. Look,
it's obvious. Some of the teams are the graphic itself
right there. You see Tony Storm, Mena Shearkal that became obvious,

(15:58):
That became obvious, ta Ja, Julia Hart and sky Blue.
I mean there are some obvious teams. Do you think
that one of those that I've mentioned and are the
ones that are going to win this tournament? And who
who else? Maybe do you think who else do you
think may have a shot at becoming a tag team

(16:21):
in this tournament? And let's just say that we're gonna
have sixteen teams, because god knows it could be six
you never know.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Tony and Mina, Tony and Mina, I hope, so just
because like throw Mina a bone, let her win something big.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Exactly.

Speaker 8 (16:44):
So, yeah, I think Megan Bain and Penelope Ford are
going to oh yeah, obviously there yeah, and I can
see them winning, honestly, are there are other there are
other tag teams that I like, but I can see
those two actually winning the titles.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Willow and Harley, right, they established them as a tag
team though, right.

Speaker 7 (17:08):
I would say, like the five Yellow said so far
are the obvious teams to be in. I'm hoping it's sixteen.
I'm hoping they bring in a couple of teams from CMLL,
maybe some from stardom.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
Indies, pro indies, like.

Speaker 7 (17:32):
And I'm fully expecting one of those five teams to
win the tournament. But bring in other teams, don't usually
the showcase for women's wrestling and your partners and the indies,
you know, like yeah, yeah, most of the most of

(17:56):
them will probably lose in the first round, you know,
to a w specific teams you have a few move
on to the second round. You know, I'll be your
finals are gonna be to a WS.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Yeah, you know what, but Chris, you know, look, I
don't like the idea of teams coming in from CML
or STARTUM and losing the first round to an a
W team. Kaguma and and Hazuki are probably one of
the highly probable teams. If they're gonna have a team

(18:34):
from stardom, that's who it's gonna be. And frankly, they're
better than TJ and Heart Blue. You know, come come on.

Speaker 7 (18:45):
Well the one that moves on to the second round.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
If you're if you're gonna have a team like that
or even uh, I don't know, Persephone and Olympia from CMLL,
those are finals. Those are not first or second round.
I'm sorry they're not.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
They don't even need to be finals, but at least
semi finals or quarter finals, like like one of the
last three or four matches.

Speaker 6 (19:13):
For sure.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
With you if you're bringing in if you're bringing in
people from another promotion, either they're gonna have to wrestle each.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Other, so one of them goes over.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
But I agree with Kelson, especially if it's the major
partner promotions like their New Japan or CML out well
New Japan would be start them at CMML.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
Or Tokyo Joshipro.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
If we're making in roads, you got to get them
over in the first round. So either they're going against
each other for some of the advances, or you're gonna
have a week AW team like maybe the Renegade Twins
or somebody who's like AW adjacent. Put them over. But
I agree with you, Kelson. If you're bringing in gusts,
you gotta you gotta push them.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
A little bit.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Plot twist. Mercedes Mode enters the tournament by her self.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
The wins.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
We'll people people would she didn't be fourteen belts or belt.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
No, she'd ever puppets tagging the puppet yeah, because I.

Speaker 7 (20:07):
Mean it's one title, but two belts right now.

Speaker 6 (20:14):
Hater Nona, are they a team they may bee or is.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
That just for setting up blood and goats? Yeah, okay, yeah,
I want to say something about the women's tag teams.
I'm very upset about Anna j and ty Mellow or
t Mellow because they went with with AJ and Anna

(20:39):
Ta was like right there the whole time, and I'm
just I'm really upset they didn't go with Anna and
I need to get that off my chest.

Speaker 6 (20:50):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
I'm going to say something here. I think I think
it was buried brought up Willow and Harley.

Speaker 6 (21:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
I don't like that team. I really don't. And I'm gonna.
I'm gonna tell you why, because Mercedes and Harley makes
much more sense to me.

Speaker 6 (21:08):
Oh, you're so right, dude, You're so right.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
And having Harley as Mercedes's partner makes it to the
point where Mercedes can lose a match and Kay, you're
gonna have to mute. So yeah, I mean, I I do.

(21:35):
I just I just like that team better.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
My view Kelson on that is after Mercedes loses at all,
and I think that's the storyline we're gonna see, and
she hits rock bottom that it needs to be Harley
who finds her at her lows of lows, helps pick
her back up, and they tear through the tag team
division all the way back to the titles and it's Harley.

Speaker 6 (21:59):
Who makes her a champion again.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Well, don't go long term.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
That's my long term book, and I and.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
I agree with you. Look, this is my thoughts. This
is you're going. You're going with my thought train. Harley
and Mercedes lose in the tag team tournament as partners,
and Mercedes gets bent out of shape about it. But
but hurt if you will, a lot of ass hattery

(22:28):
is going to happen. But let's not forget that Harley
is popular and aw has an event coming up in
Australia in December, and that's where I believe, for shits
and giggles, Harley Cameron will become your new AWTBS champion.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
YO book.

Speaker 7 (22:56):
I love it, love everything about it.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
It's been fun watching her to like it's rare you
get to see somebody brand new figure it out in
front of you on TV.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
And kudos to Tony for just keeping her.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
On TV and letting her figure it out because she's
got more talent in her finger than most of us
do combined together and anything. It's crazy and it's just
been a lot of fun watching her develop on TV.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Man, I agree, the last time I saw somebody developed
like that on real time was actually Braun Stroman. It
was crazy watching him go from like the Wyots when
he wasn't very good to just like improving week after
week after week.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
Yeah, there's there's not a whole lot like we like.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Bron Breaker is one going on right now where you
basically saw him as soon as he broke into the
business in the XT like there was no end ser
hit and you've just seen him just figure it out
week to week and look at him a huge star now.

Speaker 6 (23:51):
But it's it's neat. It's neat to see that.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
One other little thing that I wanted to put out
there to you guys was, yeah, we have several established
tag teams, one being Okay, you're gonna have to mute,
one being sky Blue and Julia Hart. But that leaves
Tecla with no partner who's techless partner. If you're gonna

(24:17):
you've gotta have Techla in this because she's so dynamic
and such a popular heel.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
If you will, Tela's partner is Tea. She can.

Speaker 6 (24:32):
I don't think you do.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
What was that, Barry, I'm sorry, I don't.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
I don't think you do need her.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
I would keep her feuding with the the title, with
them in that three way.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
I don't think you need her in the Tech.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Champions, all right, agreed?

Speaker 2 (24:47):
I think in their death triangle what what is it
called again?

Speaker 3 (24:50):
The triangle?

Speaker 6 (24:52):
Tels sisters has said.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Brunette, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
You got you got the singles competitor and the tag team.
I think that's fine. She's the singles competitor of the group.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Okay, well, look, I for the sake of time, and
I apologize that everybody didn't get a chance, But I
do want to move on because we also had a match,
the tag team match at Russell Dream, which in my
opinion for me, was the match of the night. I
love this match. It was fun. But it looks like

(25:33):
and we've been talking about this for weeks and weeks
and weeks and weeks now, Uh, Kenoski Takeshta going babyface.
Uh do you think we're at that point now?

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (25:50):
I think so.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
Okay, great discussion, guys talk.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
It feels like we all know it's coming, Like it
just seems so obvious for it not to happen. But
I'm excited to see how it happened. You know, obviously
it's gonna be the issues between him and Okada. I mean,
that's that's pretty clear right now. But how does it happen?

(26:26):
Who winds up winning the deal? Does it shift over
or crossover with New Japan with him being the iw
GP champion, because yeah, I know Coada made the comments,
oh I'm done wrestling there, but you really think he's
gonna miss Tonahsky's last match. But he's gonna be there
for that, not in the match, but he's gonna be

(26:47):
there to see Tanahsky retirement.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
That's a pretty good point. Actually, I haven't really thought of.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
That attack him.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
I had Akata attack him after his retirement match, and
I'd have Takashita make a safe sets up the match
a rustle Kingdom.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Well you know, look it's retirement rus Kingdom.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean never mind, I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Never mind. Sorry, Yeah, So isn't he fighting Harley Race? No,
never mind.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
So, like, Takesha is an interesting cat because back before
he joined the Callous Family, like he was baby face
to Kashna, right, but he couldn't win, and then he
kind of hooked up with the elite as his hail
he'll turn and then boom full heel. And one of

(27:51):
the things that I've been kind of thinking about the
Callous Family is really look at them as a as
an engine for making big time baby faces, because one
of the tried and true methods for making somebody as
a top baby face is to have them at a
heels table and then turn on the heels and it's
happened a whole bunch of times, and I think Takesha

(28:14):
is the first one to benefit from that. With the
Kallis family, I think Fletcher's the next one, probably a
year from now or so. But like, this is a
great case study in how you put a guy in
a faction, you keep them on TV, people like them.
You just let him win, just just make him be
a bad ass, just let him win, let him do
his thing. And like when people start getting behind him,

(28:37):
even though he's a heel, that's when you know it's time.
And in this case, it was fun to see everybody
starts hearing for them, even as it's a heel, and
you can see Tony finally get comfortable. He's like, all right,
let's pull the trigger on what we've been hitting at
with Okaton Takeshaa. It's time. Let's do it this year.
And I think it's great. I'm totally ready. He's one

(28:58):
of the young guys. There's like six four young guys
that they can invest in, whether here and in New Japan,
whether he wants to split his time. I don't know
what his run is going to be with this belt,
but this guy is great. He's the future like Fletcher.
He's the future like Osprey and Swerve and Hangar and MJF.
And I can't wait to see them. Just push him
to the moon. It's a big time babyface.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
I agree. I totally agreed. I do hate to correct you,
especially on your birthday, Barry, But wasn't a will the
first person, the first heel he'l to turn face off.
The callis family, you know.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
I think that's a good point, Jess. The early kallis
family when he came in as an outsider.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
I think you're right. Yeah, I would give you that point.
He was the first one, for sure.

Speaker 7 (29:42):
Yeah, I mean there's split.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
Was sort of amical bullet first but less so afterward.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
But it's still the same. I think you're right, though.
That was the model. He came into a heel faction.
They got hot, people wanted to cheer him, the biggest
way to establish somebody who's having turned on that heel faction.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
Jess, that was a good observation. I didn't realize missed that,
But that's a good point.

Speaker 7 (30:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Well, let's move on because this is going to be
a fun topic. Before we start, I want to point
out that Sutton isn't with us here tonight, and I
just wanted to say something on his behalf. This is
not me speaking, this is on Sun's behalf. Mercedes Monette

(30:26):
was terrible in a in WWE, She's terrible in aw's
is the worst thing to ever happen in the women's
wrestler there, I said it, There you go something anyway,
Mercedes Monet twelve bolt, twelve belts Monette. I thought I
was going to cry when Mina Shei Kala came out

(30:47):
at Russell Dreen because my first thought was, oh no,
They're going to have Mina Shei Kala eat yet another pin.
And of course, Mercedes Monet defeated Mina Shei Kala to
win the Interim Ring of Honor TV Championship. Interestingly enough,

(31:07):
on the Ring of Honor official roster, when Mina Shirakawa
was the the Interim TV champion, she was on the
roster page, but in the actual roster and their list
of champions, Red Velvet was the champion and Mina Shirakawa
was not even up there in that champions graphic bracket.

(31:32):
Mercedes Monette was instantly put in there as interim champion,
right next to Red Velvet as ROHTV champion. Frankly speaking,
and I'm just gonna speak this from the heart, I
do not consider the Ring of Honor Interim Championship TV
Championship as a belt for Mercedes Money to claim. I

(31:52):
don't consider the Owen Hart Championship as a belt for
for Mercedes Mornee to claim, because nobody else has claimed
it like she has. I also considered the Queen of Southside,
which is part of the repro undisputed British Women's Championship.

(32:14):
It's kind of like a combined belt. The Queen the
south Side is from a now defunct, a now defunct promotion,
and that belt cannot be defended on its own. So
frankly speaking, I think Mercedes Monet is nine belts Monette
right now, to be honest with you. But anyway, what

(32:37):
do you guys think about Mercedes Monet? And she's challenged
Christian Statlander already at Bulgear, and we know that when
eventually Red Velvet comes back, that Mercedes Monet is going
to get a shot at Red Velvet's belt.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
So I'm actually one hundred percent with you Kelson about
like the titles, especially the owen Heart one, because I mean,
that happened months ago, like it's a one time thing.
It's in and out, you're done. You don't get to
count that as a forever belt. I'm totally with.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
You on that.

Speaker 7 (33:24):
Yeah, she technically is carrying around twelve belts, but she
is nine and a half championships. I mean, I'll count
the interim as like, you're not really the champion until
you beat the champion, but we'll give we'll give you
a half of that one.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
That's fair. Anybody else have any thoughts?

Speaker 6 (33:51):
Do you think she puts over red velvet when she
comes back?

Speaker 3 (33:55):
No, and it's not her choice to do.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
So, Look what if what if that's during the So
I don't know when or about, but it's scheduled to
come back. But what if that's during the slide when
she starts the losing street that we all assume is
going to come at some point. Isn't that kind of
the point where she's acquiring this equity and then pays
that off and puts people over on the way down.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Well, look, she's been putting people over through this whole thing.
I am not speaking poorly of Mercedes Monet as a
matter of fact. I mean, but if you look, if
you look at some of the statements. Look, her most
recent championship was Sunday night at Winnipeg Pro Wrestling and Winnipeg.
Winnipeg Pro Wrestling actually made a statement because somebody on

(34:42):
AX said something that a lot of people have said
and I do not which I do not believe, and
that Mercedes Monet is just there for herself and not
doing anything and whatnot, you know, to put over wrestlers. Well,
we're talking about Winnipeg Pro Wrestling two weeks ago. Did

(35:04):
any of you know what Winnipeg Pro Wrestling was? You know,
think about it? You know, I'm still I'm following Diana
Strong on X and been watching some of her matches.
That's who Mercedes Monet beat in Poland for the EWA

(35:25):
Championship and the Bestia champion Chip very mute, please, And
my point here is that Mercedes Monet is putting people over.
Winnipeg Pro Wrestling made a statement saying she's put us

(35:47):
on the map. She's it's a mutually beneficial partnership, I
guess is the best way to put it. I think
that's what they said, but I know they use the
words specifically mutually beneficial. Now, the question, but the question

(36:08):
I wanted to ask you guys, not only on that,
is do you think Mercedes Moona beats Chris Statlander at
full gear.

Speaker 7 (36:17):
She should not know.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
M No, I don't think she is.

Speaker 7 (36:27):
Sorry, go ahead, I think she loses it full gear,
gets frustrated and you know, maybe starts issuing open challenges
for the TVs title and you know, gets a few
wins until she hits Australia. Harley comes out, surprises her

(36:48):
with a roll up, and that is the start of
her downfall. The first title she won is the first
title she loses, and that starts the dominoes dropping, because
she's going to be more and more desperate to keep
the titles now that she's one less, now that she's

(37:08):
you know, like she's got the record right now. Okay,
she's got to keep them or else.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Let me ask you guys something, because I got a
plead ignorance here. Did they announce that the Women's World
Tag Team Championship Finals would be at full Gear?

Speaker 6 (37:27):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
I don't think somebody said something about it, and I'm like,
I didn't hear that.

Speaker 7 (37:32):
But then again, they announced familiar, but I'm not sure.
It might have been one of those where one announcement
got kind of mixed in with the other, like maybe
they made Mercedes for stat land or official for full
gear and then did the women's tag title announcement.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Yeah, I don't know how many times has STAT lost
the Mercedes now as a two or three?

Speaker 3 (38:03):
How many times has STAT lost to Mercedes too?

Speaker 2 (38:07):
I believe too, because they made sure to bring that
up at the pay per view, right.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
That is why I don't think.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
I don't think Mercedes wins. And if you're trying to
establish status as a big time champ, She's now got
two wins over Tony Storm. A win over Mercedes is
the next strongest woman in the women's division from a
record standpoint, that firmly establishes her as a top tier champion.
Those are significant wins. So I don't see a world

(38:35):
where Mercedes drops. But I'm looking forward to when you
know she's got titles from these promotions, She's gonna put
somebody over and make She's gonna make a lot of stars.
She's bringing attention to these promotions, like you said, Kelson,
and when she goes back like these performers and these
smaller promotions are going to have a win over Mercedes

(38:56):
Monette like that's a huge deal for somebody on the indies,
regardless of what country it's in like that's enormous and
it's going to be just it's going to be great
to see.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
I absolutely agree.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I have something on ringside News earlier saying that she
is not making any money from these trips, like she's
doing this all on her own time.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Let me let me break it, let me interrupt you storm.
Ringside News is full of ship, so don't read anything
from them, Okay, says is absolutely bullshit. Sorry.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
I mean, I've read some things that I heard later
that we're all that were actually true, so I guess
they're half and half.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Well, you know, even I say something smart every once
in a while, but I admit to it.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
You want to know something kind of funny. I heard, No,
this is in no way, shape or form the way
I think, the way I think it works, or that
it will work. But I heard somebody say, like what
if what if Stat wins and gets the whole kitten kaboodle,
And I'm just imagining Stat like carrying off all the titles.

Speaker 7 (40:18):
She just wanted a wheelbarrow.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
Okay. Anybody else have anything to say about Mercedes Monet?

Speaker 9 (40:38):
No?

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Okay, then I guess we will move on to really
our last topic, which surprised me a little bit. And
that was the heel turned done by Samoa Joe and
by by Samoa Joe turning heel as part of the opps,
he also turned uh Shabana and Will Hobbs heel. Uh.

(41:07):
I like Samoa Joe as a heel, I really don't
like Hobbs as a heel. And I can't really say
about Shabana's heel because I don't think I've ever seen
Jabana as a heel.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Yeah, I'm gonna disagree with you, Nelson on Hobbes. I
think he's a great like because he's got that sneer,
that very like sealish expression.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
You know the one, of course, I know the one.
But here's the thing. Hobbs sneers and then he smiles.
I've said this before, Jess, and I don't know if
you've been heard me say this on the podcast, but
in my opinion, if I have to say, just from
looking at the wrestlers, who's the nicest guy on the

(41:51):
aw roster? I am immediately drawn to Will Hobbs. I
really do believe that he is just this big, we
loving pussy cat of a guy. And having him having
him as a heel, even with that really cool snarl
that he has. It's just I just can't get past

(42:12):
that that She's just like he's got this halo over
his head that you can't see.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
The nicest guy in the company is the guy who
has eye break backs as an entrance graphic.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
Yes, the big black and jack guy.

Speaker 7 (42:28):
He only breaks you back of bad people.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
You know, I kind of look at I'm with you, Kelson.
I don't want to boo will Hops right now. I'm
intrigued to see Shabata as a heel because he's never
been a true heel in New Japan. He is kind
of like a mercenary, so to speak. But you know,
kind of like the APA was back in the day
in WW. Not really bad guys, but they'll do bad stuff.

(42:52):
But like Hobbs is, Hobbs is really getting over. Like
people like seeing Hobbs beat people up. They cheer him
when he beats like it's kind of like Smo Joe
is a baby face, very similar vibes. People just really
like to cheer and see SMO Joe beat people up
because it's fun. Same thing with Ojabs. I don't like
blowing him. He can be a heel. We've seen it,

(43:14):
but like, I want to cheer this dude. I want
to share this guy until he established himself as a
dude and then go somewhere with him at the heel.
Like I'm I'm okay, I'll watch it, but like I'm
kind of bummed.

Speaker 6 (43:26):
I've really enjoyed sharing him as a face, and I
think that's the right move for a.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Long term Barry. I don't know if you saw it,
but there were reports that came out during the week
last week that Samo Joe is basically said that once
his current his current contract with a W is up,
that he may be calling it a career. Yeah. I
kind of want to see Samoa Joe his last big

(43:56):
or at least one of his last big feuds against
Will Hobbs and Havejo put over Will Hobbs. You know,
let's let let that be Samo and Joe's legacy in
the start of Will Hobbs.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
I need that match.

Speaker 6 (44:13):
That's me too.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
I'm not saying that I don't think it's a I
don't think it's a match. I think it's you know, a.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
Few Yeah, we've talked. I mentioned this before. There's an
importance with certain pins with certain individuals. Putting people over,
you make somebody. John Cena's last pin is going to
make somebody when when aj Styles retires, He's going to
make somebody When Sting in general traditionally they put somebody over.

(44:42):
I would argue Sting made Darby when when they won
the championship with the tag champs together, Like Sumojo retiring
and putting.

Speaker 6 (44:50):
Over Will Hobbs is a huge deal.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
It's like when Okada puts over to Kesha, It's a
huge deal. There are some moments you're a huge deal,
and Mojo putting somebody over on the way out as
a is a star making huge deal and that's a
lot of capital that he'd be given.

Speaker 6 (45:07):
I agree. I mean Kelson, I'd be a great person
for him to put over in a feud.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
And the Q big guy slapping man meat, Hey give
me a meat match, brother. Everybody like meat is everybody
likes meat. Yeah, but I was really shocked when Samojo
did that the Hangman Adam page.

Speaker 8 (45:32):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
Look, it made the match relevant though, because if you
listen to our prediction show last week, nobody thought that
Somemojo was going to win this match. But because he
turned on Adam Page like he did. It made the
match memorable.

Speaker 6 (45:52):
It's a program though, yeah, just it's not.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
It's just not, you know, a battle of the belts
one and done kind of thing. One of the things
that I failed to mention was that at Russell Dream
in the very first segment we talked about Darby Allen
and Sting. We had a big thing about Sting. That

(46:17):
was October eighteenth. That was one year to the day
October eighteenth, twenty twenty four, when Sting announced that his
last match would be a Revolution. So it was a
first full circle kind of thing. I did want to
just throw that out there. Let's move on to our

(46:40):
pope re because I think Barry you had quite a
few things that you wanted to bring up. At least
you did, I don't remember. You don't remember any of them.
Go ahead, so all right.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
So one of the things I want to bring up,
This's something we chatted about a bit on the discord,
and I'm sure it was on the Reddit too or
the subredd as well. This was the first time that
I think AW did a match that carried into the
pay per view. It felt very much like Saturday Morning
Superstars or whatever. It was called back in the day

(47:16):
where they would have the main event and like, oh,
we're out of time. We got to go, you know,
because you gotta go to the live event if you
want to see these big matches. When they started and
Tony Shiavani was like, oh, there's only five minutes left,
are they going to go? And like we're seeing them
rush all these spots and I'm thinking hook line and sinker.
Oh man, they got cut for time. They're gonna have
to rush through. It would have been a good match.
And then I realized there's no way they're going to

(47:37):
wrap this up and they fade to black. I flip
over to the pay per view and boom these they
start the pay per view mid match.

Speaker 6 (47:46):
I was just like, this is great.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
The Pyro going off was hysterical. That was really good.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
I'm like, I'm like, hell, yeah, man, if you want
to get people to buy a pay per view, tease
them at the start of a good match. You want
to see the finish, you got to pop down your
forty any rate. I thought that was a really cool way.
I don't think they should do it every time, but
get a if you got one good pre show match
that you can hook them into the pay per view.
I liked that. I thought it was a fun little

(48:12):
continuity thing, and I'm interesting how other people felt.

Speaker 3 (48:16):
I will answer you, Barry. Uh. Personally, I hated it.
I thought it was a rip off. We had somebody
in the live chat that was not able to watch
the pay per view and they got screwed out of
seeing a match that they did watch the beginning of

(48:37):
they didn't they never got to see the end of it.
So that's my opinion. I don't do let me put
it this way, I do not ever want to see
them do that again.

Speaker 7 (48:50):
That's my opinion, complete opposite opinion. I don't want to
see them do it again for a while. You know,
you can't do that every pay per view because then
it just becomes a cluiche deal. But I'd love to
see that every you know, like every six months it happens,

(49:10):
not like yeah, yeah, once or twice would be perfect.

Speaker 6 (49:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (49:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
I'm one hundred percent with what Barry said. I'm team
Barry on this one.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
There's no wrong answer here. Kelson's perfective is totally valid.
I think people who are exactly tuned in wanting to
watch a match advertised for collision and field drift are
totally valid as well. It was fun, But like I said,
that's why you have to you can't do it on
a regular basis because the other side is a completely
valid position.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Is Barry, I'm gonna have to disagree with you again.
My my, my opinion, my opinion is the only one
that's valid. You guys are just here for the Oh
you're you're exactly right. We'll take this up next week.

Speaker 7 (50:00):
I gotta ask language standards here because I really want to.

Speaker 3 (50:07):
Uh uh, but we we are we are PG, not
fish tank PG. We can go a little bit beyond
fish tank, somewhere between fish tank and fingernails.

Speaker 7 (50:21):
So don't use it, Okay, I will not. I can,
I can do that. I'll have to work on it,
but I can manage.

Speaker 3 (50:34):
And you're gonna leave a hanging, Okay, I'm going.

Speaker 7 (50:38):
I was.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
I was waiting for the big reveal here and nothing happened.

Speaker 7 (50:42):
Yeah, you know, sometimes sometimes you just got to keep
people waiting. Yeah, okay, but actually did I actually did
have a deal going kind of going off with very
about how Samoa Joe you know, could make Will Hobbs
with his retirement match it's not completely a W related

(51:08):
but as I mentioned earlier, Anahashi's retirement match is coming.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
Who they gonna be? Who did be?

Speaker 7 (51:18):
Someone from A.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
For what I did, I didn't got to be a
New Japan guy his last match.

Speaker 6 (51:26):
Who's he put over?

Speaker 3 (51:29):
Yeah, it's it's got to be. It's got to be
do Japan.

Speaker 4 (51:33):
It's gonna be World War it's gonna be a world
famous lord.

Speaker 6 (51:40):
Or like somebody.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
Yeah, they can't afford to put up any and they
can't afford to put anybody but a New Japan guy
over on This was my opinion. No, I definitely don't
think it's Takeshta. They've got to put over a tried
and true New Japan Pro wrestling talent. I I really

(52:06):
do firmly believe that.

Speaker 8 (52:10):
It's going to be my predictable prediction Kelson, you already
know who.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
Kingston?

Speaker 7 (52:24):
Yes, yeah, that's.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
Got Now they can't it can't. The only reason I
would be happy if it was Eddie is if that
if they if a W traded a Eddie Kingston the
New Japan.

Speaker 7 (52:39):
Don't you ruin my New Japan?

Speaker 3 (52:45):
Serious? Because you know I have a lot of questions
about the women's tag team bracket because they announced it
sometime during or right after the Eddie Kingston and who
are you fought in the tailgate? Oh the frat house
with a hook as I turned that stuff off immediately,

(53:09):
and so I missed the announcement. That's why I was
asking did they say it was gonna be a pull gear?
Because I never went back and watched it. I've got
a po puri my own. It's really not a discussion topic,
but it's just something I thought you guys may be
interested in and maybe the audience would be interested in.
Friday Night CMLL, who's been on a tear lately. I

(53:31):
mean they've they've been putting, oh bidding on shows galore.
You you can watch CMLL on the CMLL YouTube channel.
It does cost twenty four ninety nine a month, but
my god, you get a lot of wrestling for twenty
four ninety nine a month as they put on a
show like what every two days and for sure. Yeah,

(53:51):
and they also have their archive up. So if you're
interested in CMLL, you know do that. But on Friday Night,
This Friday Night, they're having the Women's Grand Prix. Eighteen women,
nine CML women and nine from other companies. You've got
representation from Gosh, the Rev Pro mL W, Ring of Honor,

(54:18):
ae w oh TJPW in there. I'm not sure from AAW.
You've got Julia Hart, Sky Blue, Tekla, the entire Triangle
of Madness and Mina Shirakawa. That is going to be
one hell of a fun match and it's just gonna

(54:41):
be something. Now I don't know those structure to match
because I'm too lazy to look it up, and I
don't know what the winner gets. I'm assuming the winner
gets a shot at Mercedes Bone in the CMLL Championship,
at least, I would hope so. Or they just get
this big Honkin Trophy as Women's Grand Prix winner, you know,

(55:02):
and then they go about their business. But this is
this is the kind of yearly stuff that I love
and I am looking forward to it. You could also
have heard that if you watch it on if you
do get the cml L subscription, you'll be able to
watch this. But I've also heard there is a one
time by on Triller. Now the thing on Triller though
from what I've heard, and I believe it's Triller, Please

(55:25):
correct me if I'm wrong. Somebody in the chat, but
the Triller one comes with English commentary, where the CML
one will come with the normal Spanish commentary. Look, I
watched Startup all the time with the Japanese commentary. I'm

(55:46):
not lost. Wrestling is wrestling. You don't need Gordon Slowy
to tell you what a soup play is.

Speaker 7 (55:54):
I do believe Thriller will have the English commentary. And
looking up the men's pre it was a twenty man elimination, Matt,
so I'm assuming the women's gonna work the same way.
Eighteen women eliminaced and you know final person wins it all.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
Yeah, it's on Friday night. It's coming from Arena Mexico,
which means it probably starts at eight or eight thirty
UH Pacific time, so it'll probably be around ten ten
thirty UH Eastern time.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
Chris doesn't say who's doing commentary on the English.

Speaker 7 (56:33):
I don't know who it is for sure. I know
a scout has done it before, so maybe her, and
I don't know if Rocky ran I don't think Rocky
Romara is going back to Japan for R Junior Tagley,
so it could be him.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
Yeah, I mean it, look, it just sounds I'm just
gonna watch for that match. I mean, the other matches
are gonna be fantastic. Look the other day they just
put on a all women's and this is important because
CBL I'll put on an all women's pay per view
and it was fantastic. AW can do it if if

(57:14):
they wanted to.

Speaker 1 (57:15):
I've been thinking the same thing. I just I think
maybe Tony's kind of waiting on it too, you know,
at least after the tag team championships, you know, are
decided and everything. But I mean, at the same time,
would people actually sit down and watch it? Would it
get like a full crowd and everything. I mean, I

(57:37):
would love for it to TV.

Speaker 6 (57:40):
I'd do a super show.

Speaker 3 (57:41):
Yeah, I would do like a Winter's one of the
one of the winter, if one of the Winter's coming things.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
Why not just a brand new branding just for a women,
like a focal point for a women super show, like
a two and a half hour super show for them.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Yeah, why not?

Speaker 1 (57:56):
That could be a good start.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
Why not? I mean AWS women division is really really good.
And of course you can also bring in women from
if you're going to do an all women's show, whether
it's a pay per viewer, just a special TV show,
like Barry was saying, you can also bring in women
from CMLL. You could bring in women from stardom to
make it even that much more special. So now there

(58:23):
you go. Anybody else have a pot pourri?

Speaker 4 (58:27):
I do, go ahead. This is an interesting statistic. I
have to thank that wrestle Talk for this. I love
wrestle Talk. That's pretty much my favorite wrestling news source.
And when it comes to like daily like morning news videos.

Speaker 7 (58:43):
But they were.

Speaker 9 (58:45):
Talking about last night's Raw and Ollie Davis mentioned that
the oldest champion during the Attitude era was forty years old.
That was Brett Hart.

Speaker 3 (58:59):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (58:59):
Interesting that age is now the average of champion of
WWE champions during this era.

Speaker 3 (59:10):
Ah well is that what? Let me let me ask
you a question, Jess. Just that's the champions, that's not
the main events, because the main events at WWE over
the last six months have been damn near fifty.

Speaker 7 (59:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (59:29):
Like, I'm I can probably like agree to that. Like
I don't really watch it. I just go buy the
news I get. But that sounds about right. The reason
he brought this up was because one of the.

Speaker 9 (59:41):
Few young up and coming championship material stars they have
braun Breaker was placed in a position thanks to Seth
Rollins's sudden injury to actually be in a championship match.
And what would you like to know? Do you know
the match they booked instead?

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
No, I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
It is CM Punk versus Shoot. Who is it? This
is how much I watched.

Speaker 6 (01:00:18):
It's true McIntyre, I think, right, Drew.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
I think so, Harley Rice.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
I thought Drew is feuding with Cody Rhodes right now,
So I don't know if it's Drew. At least that's
what I saw. I see the little clips. I haven't
watched w W in a very long time, but I
see little clips.

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
Versus jay Us.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
So yeah, but.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
I hate that word so much.

Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
To me.

Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
Is like throwing some went out a window.

Speaker 5 (01:01:02):
Ye, yeah, I hear that.

Speaker 7 (01:01:05):
When I hear ye, I mean she immediately picture Uncle
Phil throwing out the house.

Speaker 9 (01:01:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01:16):
Yeah, heat is throwing somebody like you put something up
and across the room.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Yeah that makes sense. Well, does anybody else have a potpourri?

Speaker 8 (01:01:28):
I just have a comment about Russell Dream. I noticed
that this is one of the only or maybe very
few pay per views where no one destroyed the Spanish
announced table, and I was surprised. I thought Claudio was
maybe gonna throw Darby into the Spanish announced table.

Speaker 6 (01:01:50):
But they switched it up on me. So yeah, I was.

Speaker 8 (01:01:54):
I was shocked that for once they didn't get.

Speaker 6 (01:01:56):
Their table destroyed.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Miracle of miracles.

Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
Yeah, well, they sure did a number on the regular
announce stable, that's for sure.

Speaker 7 (01:02:10):
Every time.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
I mean, Claudia Castley grabbed Darby, Allen held him above
his head and you did it right out of the ring.

Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
There you go. If for any reason, Anthony Khan is
listening to this podcast, I understand it's a Saturday and
most people don't have to work on Sundays, but for
the love of God, brother, please on your pay per
views by eleven thirty. I don't care what day of

(01:02:41):
the week, but like, nobody wants to stay it past midnight.

Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
Man, Yeah, if you're gonna have them gone along something
to actually like.

Speaker 7 (01:02:49):
Yeah, I really enjoyed the afternoon papers.

Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
Like to.

Speaker 7 (01:02:57):
Have something to do you're in the middle of I.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
Know that's not always pop possible, but like, if it's like,
especially if it's a Sunday, you gotta be done by
eleven thirty.

Speaker 6 (01:03:06):
Like you got it, Like, yeah, nobody wants it to go.

Speaker 7 (01:03:10):
That long man like yees Sunday Sunday, they absolutely need
to do the afternoon.

Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
I don't know at all. Yeah, I don't know if
it's my age or what. But like, for example, after
all In, which was on a Saturday at two, I
didn't recover from all In until like Monday at noon.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Okay, so you guys are all on the East coast,
I'm guessing. Yeah, yeah, ah, yes I am West Coast,
so you're eight eight, So I absolutely have no problem
with the time.

Speaker 7 (01:03:47):
Yeah, I mean it won't deal for me. For me,
it was over at eleven thirty, and I stayed up
and watched the new Japan Stoke that started at one am.
So but yeah, time deal for the after noon shows.

Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
So it was just nice, you know it.

Speaker 7 (01:04:04):
You go, you pick up, you pick up some lunch,
you come home, you watch wrestling, and then you've still
got tonight too. Well it might tas be boring and
watch more wrestling, but you know, for normal people go
out and do something.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
Yeah, it ends at like eight thirty nine. Here, it
took my kids into a bed and then me and
my husband sit down and talk about from pay per view.

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
Yeah, well one last thing that I want to make
a comment about, uh is Emmy Saker and Rio participated
in Starlight Kids tenth year anniversary show in Stardom. Jess,
you need to mute.

Speaker 6 (01:04:42):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
There you go. It was weird too because Amy Sacker
was actually on the well somewhat of a babyface team
and Rijo is definitely on the heel team. And Rijo
got the pin of all things. They were at a
three on three match, so it was interesting. I just

(01:05:10):
thought I just wanted to bring that up that that
was the first time that Rio has been in a
stardom match since twenty twenty. So, yeah, anybody else with
anything they want to bring.

Speaker 7 (01:05:24):
Up, well, I'm just gonna I believe that Starlight His
show is free on YouTube because there was a right
which their program, so you know, for anyone who wants
to watch it, it's up there.

Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
Yeah, it's a it's a lot of special guests and whatnot.
My favorite spot was I don't I for a life
of me, I do not remember who Starlight Kids partners were,
but all three they went after the mask. There was
a three on three match. Starlight Kid had two men
on her side, Eldo right, dragging it. They got their

(01:06:03):
El Esperando and Dragon Kid got their masks ripped off,
like right at the beginning of a match, and then
they got them back immediately, but they got the wrong
masks back, so El Desperando had Dragon Kid's mask on,
and it was just it was this kind of, you know,
a tongue in cheek cute moment, and Starlight Kid apparently

(01:06:24):
booked the show, and she booked herself to lose on
her own tenth year anniversary show. Go figure, it went out,
so yep, she ate the pin so but it was
weird because you're an intergender match and they had the

(01:06:45):
women fighting the men, like that's the way it goes.
It's no like, okay, you tag it and that's it.
It's women versus No. The women fought the men and
they did a damn good thing. But it's actually really
kind of hysterical considering Starlight Kid is what all of
four foot nine, I mean, she's tiny, but my god,
is she phenomenal or you know, it's she could do

(01:07:11):
no wrong? Really, So.

Speaker 6 (01:07:16):
Do you think we ever get to see her in
aw TV? I hope So I think man, like, I
really don't love that.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
Well when what was it like before all out? Tony
Conn was asked who that's not in the company? Did?
Would he uh like to see? Which were?

Speaker 7 (01:07:38):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
Who are is her favorites? And he immediately named Starlight
Kid first one out of his mouth. I believe with
Starlight Kid, and of course is Zuomi you know, uh
so because with the men, there's really not any men
because he got them all So all right, Well, that's
gonna be the end of the show. We'll be back
