And nine Cognition six five.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Four three two one zero, all engine running. It's Tuesday.
You know what that means. It's time for Ignition with

(00:27):
the aw fanha podcast team. This is Kelson and we
are live on X and on Twitch. If you're on Twitch,
you can chat with us and we'll see it. So
go ahead and chat with this on Twitch. I don't
know if it works on X. Tonight, we're doing our
aw Wressell Dream preview and prediction show. Guys, are you

(00:52):
looking forward to Wrestle Dream on Saturday at eight pm?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Yeah, yeah, it's time. It's it's almost time for Greez.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I apologize already. I've already apologized. Unbelievable. Okay, that was good,
Actually that was really good. Well, let's just start. We're
gonna talk about all the matches. I believe there's eight
matches and uh, let's start with the first one. And
that's gonna be Hangman, Adam Page and Samoa Joe for

(01:35):
the a W Men's World Championship. I thought it's really
interesting that they didn't put Men's World Championship on the
onto graphic. They just say aw World Championship. I just
got that just now.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
That's like Hangman's thing right now is it's the men's
world championship right right?

Speaker 6 (01:55):
Yeah, and Kyle's been doing it too well.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Okay, guys, what do you think about this match? I mean,
as far as a build, what are your overall feelings
about this? Oh?

Speaker 7 (02:08):
Boy?

Speaker 6 (02:09):
I love both of these guys to death. Hang In
is our beloved cowboy champion, and who doesn't love Samoa
Joe the big old murder machine. But this match is
super predictable. I don't think there's a snowballs chance in
hell of hang In winning the title losing the title
of this junker.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Does everybody else agree with Jess?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Yeah? You retictable doesn't mean bad?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
No, No, not at all.

Speaker 7 (02:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I mean the builds simple and it is a particle
result that this is one of those Both of these
guys are rules, So the match is gonna be fun.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
No matter what. It's like an action movie. You know
the good guy is gonna win, but you want to
see how he wins.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Right?

Speaker 8 (03:01):
So so does anybody else think it's interesting that there's
a trios title match this Wednesday before Joe is going
after the world title on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, I mean more portly Barry. Do you think that
the Trios Championship on Wednesday is going to change hands?

Speaker 8 (03:22):
I do. I do too think I think, yeah, I
do think it's going to change, and I think it
needs to. First off, I've said on the discord and stuff,
I think the Trios titles needs to be the party titles.
I think they should bounce around. That should when there's
a Trios title match, everybody should get. It should be

(03:44):
on TV, that childs should change a bunch on free TV.
But getting the Trios titles off of Joe, I think
frees him up to go in a new direction. And
while I do believe Hangar retain, I think, especially if
they lose on on Wednesday, there's going to be some

(04:06):
interesting stuff going down with Joe. I think they're going
to be pushing him a little in a little different direction,
and the ops may may have run its course.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
Possibly, that's my prediction. Yeah, sounds good. I actually kind
of had a thought. It just sort of struck me.
My husband actually mentioned this to me. You remember when
Mariah May was Women's Champion, and she had some really
good matches, but it seemed like she was kind of
in a holding pattern for when Tony Storm got back,
it sort of seems like hang Man is in the

(04:36):
same sort of holding pattern waiting for MJF to get back.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Agreed, Agreed, No, Seah, I don't think.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
I think it's too early to say that, because you know,
MJF just left last week and Hangman has been having
some good matches.

Speaker 9 (04:52):
I don't see it that way yet. I think it's
too early to say that.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Well, there was one person very he could be a
chance because there was one person that said that samo
Joe has a chance on this Who was that?

Speaker 10 (05:09):
I mean, I was saying that this match wasn't predictable.
I feel like he could, honest to god, go either way.
Hang Man could win it, Samoa Joe could win it.
I mean, you have to understand hang Man's mean kind
of built.

Speaker 7 (05:23):
It's like a very credible champion. And while samo Joe
may be a murder machine, that doesn't mean he's the
win all the time machine. Okay, there's a chance on
both equal sides, and plus it makes it more interesting.
As Barry mentioned before, with the trios titles, he loses
the Trios titles, that puts even more intrigue. Is he
gonna win it is. He not gonna win it. It's

(05:43):
just stuff that we have to consenter.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
The only thing that I think is gonna be I don't,
I don't. I don't know that LFI is gonna win
the titles on Wednesday for the simple fact that they're
more on ro Oh than they are on AW. I mean,
Samy hasn't been on a a W since what two
pay per views or three pay per years ago when

(06:07):
him and Dustin wrestled for the tight titles. But and
that was an RH match, So I don't know. I
can see it happening, but I just I don't think
Hangman's losing the title with this this early.

Speaker 9 (06:19):
I just don't see it that.

Speaker 8 (06:21):
I agree Jess had mentioned some stuff and a couple
couple other folks. I think Joe being here is on purpose.
I don't necessarily think it's a holding pattern. I am
a little disappointed it's a shorter program, but sometimes you
gotta do things the way you need to do things.
This is about having Hangar have several defenses against world

(06:42):
champions to really define what type of champion he is.
Because like he's beating Max twice, he's gonna beat Joe
and then MJF is after that. So if your defenses
are against former champs, like that is as tough as
it gets. And then the other piece is going back
to the to the Alifi thing that you mentioned. They

(07:04):
haven't been on TV, but there's no time like the present,
right he had mentioned or Ruche had mentioned expanding the group.
I think the initial plan was to have Pablo Escobar
come in or wait, that's not his name. Was his
name Santos Escobar.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Santos probably come in initially on Wednesday to help them
win the belts.

Speaker 8 (07:25):
He resigned with WWE, so that's out the door. But
I don't change that. I still pull the trigger and
have them pick up the belts and then they're on
TV again. To your point, sudden, yeah.

Speaker 9 (07:36):
I can see that. Like like I said, I don't know.
I just don't think.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
I kind of like your idea that that hangers facing
other world champions to build who he is.

Speaker 9 (07:45):
You can even throw Kenny Omega in there if you
wanted to.

Speaker 8 (07:48):
Yeah, that's how I see.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
Kenny's wrestling tomorrow with Jurassic Express, So you know there's
he's not you know, they kept making a big deal
about how they were gonna have him wrestle.

Speaker 9 (08:02):
I can't remember it was now, but they were.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
For the TNT title against because they didn't want to
do that at this time because of his help. But
he can still go, so he could be the next
guy that gets it. Even if that's on television, that's
still I mean, you still have that and unfortunately with
the sword being out, he can't do that one.

Speaker 9 (08:25):
But yeah, it's gonna be very interesting.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Well, let's go to Steve. Steve, you've been trying to
say something, so go ahead.

Speaker 11 (08:32):
Oh no, I agree with Barry's assessment with Hangman's title ring.
That's how I see his title ring right now, like
he's just gonna show how good of a champion he
really is.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
All right, Well, look, personally, I think this is gonna
be a great match, but I just don't see Hangman
losing the title. But as somebody said, it was a
jest that said it. Just because Hangman isn't going to
lose this title doesn't mean it's not going to be
an enjoyable match. I'm looking for this match to be
a banker. I just don't think that the title is

(09:08):
going to change hands. Let's move on to the next match,
which is going to be Chris Statlander defending the AW
Women's World Championship against Tony Storm. I kind of see
this the same way as I see the Hangman and
Samoa Joe match. It's going to be a great match,
but this is more of a match to me that's

(09:29):
going to verify Chris Statlander as the AW Women's World
Championship champion. Tony Storm is not going to win this match,
and if they. If Tony Storm wins this match, it's okay,
it's great, you know, but in my mind, it would
be somewhat of a mistake.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
Agreed. I love Tony, she is my queen. She's probably
my favorite women's wrestler in the whole wide wide world
right now. But she just lost the time. They're not
going to pinball it right back to her after Chris
just won it.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, I agree, I definitely. I don't think that Tony's
going to win it back, and I don't want her to.
And I love Tony Storm just like you. I get it.
But ultimately though, I think this is perfect for Chris Statlander,
you know, to put her name, like her name really
out there and defeat the three time you know, world
Women's World champion, like this will really submit her maybe

(10:29):
kind of like a Tony Storm passing the torch kind
of thing.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Believe it's a four time champion by the way, Storm, Yeah, yeah,
she's a four time.

Speaker 8 (10:39):
You can you should look at this as really their
first title match, like kind of set the three way
aside because Chris pinned Tony, but she didn't face her
face to face, and that's Tony's whole thing is like,
we're going to get to go, and I think you're
spot on. This is about establishing Chris as a as
a as a significant champ, much like they're doing with

(11:01):
Hanger Feet in them Joe, and they'll put on a
good They'll put on a great match. I wouldn't be
shocked if some heels postmatch try to do some stuff
and Tony makes the same with Chris and we get
some fun tag matches out of that too.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
But interesting Storm. Anybody else with thoughts on the Chris
Statlander and Tony Storm match.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
I pretty much agree with what everyone else said. You know,
Tony is great, but she doesn't need to win the title.

Speaker 7 (11:27):
Facts.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
This is about establishing Statley and I mean the match
is gonna be great. Those two there's no way it's
not gonna be awesome barring something catastaut, but that's another
one with a predictable wiman.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah. I've said multiple times on this podcast that, uh,
Tony Storm is such a talent and her character is
so strong she does not need a title to be relevant.
So I just don't see Tony Storm winning. This is
a This is a match that meant to validate Christa.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
Lander, and it also gives Tony another way too, because
after the loss, I mean, you know, she was so
like I couldn't believe it, so she was despondent. Yeah,
and it gives her a way to like she does
that with her character. She did it when she lost
to Mariah May, I mean she disappears for a little while.
I don't think she'll do that this time, but it's

(12:25):
a it's just more layers upon layers for her, and
she's so amazing at it.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
All right. That Well, let's move on to the next match,
and that match is Kyle Pletcher against Mark Briscoe for
the T and T Championship.

Speaker 12 (12:53):
This is one I'm actually looking forward to. I'm excited
to see them together.

Speaker 6 (12:59):
It's going to be so much fun.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah, I think, yeah, who said people are thinking this
could go either way?

Speaker 8 (13:12):
I think so, I think it could. I agree, Yeah,
I can see.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Barry go ahead.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
I could see this being I was with the others
that I thought this was a sure Kyle thing, but
have after how they really focused on Mark and looking
at his push. I could see this as a quick
title switcheroo where Mark gets it and then Kyle gets
it right back, gives fans a moment, gives Mark a moment.
I don't see Mark as the type of performer at

(13:50):
this point. It's a long term chance, but he's the
kind of guy that if you're going to pull a
surprise switcheroo to give some fans a fun moment, and
then you know, Kyle, maybe even on TV a couple
of weeks later, wins it back. I could see that.
So I'm a little less thinking Kyle ratines than I
would have been maybe two weeks ago. But I still
think he keeps it.

Speaker 7 (14:10):
Personally, I'd say, let Mark Risko hold the title for
sixty nine days.

Speaker 13 (14:20):
And what is the relevance of sixty nine days He's
got to count up to it tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Is yeah?

Speaker 12 (14:32):
Oh boy?

Speaker 8 (14:35):
I mean it's a great idea.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Once once, once again to our for our audience. I
I apologize for these guys. It's gonna be one of
those nights. Now we're getting into the matches that probably
we'll have more of that kind of conversation. Now, Look,
Mark Briscoe, love the guy complex, has gotta win this.

(14:59):
I don't see Mark Briscoe as T and T champion
or any other type of champion other than maybe because
he's not going to do tag team. I think that
putting Mark Briscoe in a T and T championship belt
is a step backward, and and a W doesn't need
a step backward.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
You don't think he deserves it?

Speaker 2 (15:18):
No, I do not see.

Speaker 14 (15:20):
I got to disagree he's if if he's He's had
a lot of matches in a W this year and
he's lost most of them.

Speaker 15 (15:32):
Yeah, so I but personally, I personally do not believe
he should have this shot.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
I mean, really good matches like this is going to
be another really good match. Kyle Flitzer should win.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Manby two said in the chat he did have a
huge win over over MGF earlier. So you know, like
I said, they like Barry said, they they're pushing him
and I totally agree that this is one of those
things where he wins the match today or on Saturday,
and then on the next Saturday they rematch, Kyle beats em.

Speaker 9 (16:20):
Just to give Mark you know, hey.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
He hasn't had a title in a W and when
his brother died, I mean literally, he has There's no
other there's He's never going to wrestle a tag team again.
So this is probably the only opportunity in ae W
that he's gonna have to have a title.

Speaker 8 (16:41):
This his only opportunity, and.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
Well, and the thing is this also could knock Kyle
Fletcher down a notch because Kyle Fletcher is getting a.

Speaker 8 (16:49):
Little bit data.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Sure you can't.

Speaker 8 (16:51):
You got to keep the rocket on that guy. Dude,
He's he's the future, the storm you were chiming in.
I want to hand the mic over here.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah, So I agree that Kyle Fletcher. I think he
completely has us in the bag. And I love Mark Briscow,
I really do. But Kyle Fletcher is on such a
high right now, and like you said, Barry, you got
to keep him on that high. Yeah, Like he is
like the future of AW He's the future for wrestling.
You can see it. It's scary at times and how

(17:19):
good he is. But yeah, no, I think he's going
to retain. I think they need to keep that high
on him.

Speaker 8 (17:26):
Kelson. I think you kind of split in the difference
here because I like Mark and they really want Mark
to be like that upper mid card job under the stars,
mister perfect type level. I don't think he's got enough
to get above that, and that type of level is
perfect for the TNT title and in retrospect, while I
think a switcheroo would be fun with the little short

(17:48):
term run and give the fans a moment to your point, Kelson,
and like what Storms saying, I do think you need
to keep that momentum with Kyle going, so I wouldn't
be shocked, But I think you're right Kelson, like he
they need to keep that rocket on.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Well, well, let me explain myself, Barry a little bit.
The last big match that Kyle Fletcher had was against
who Hangman Adam Paige, and he lost, all right, he
lost his bid for the aw Men's World Championship. If
he loses the TNT Championship and the very next pay
per view, then what's the point of having Kyle Fletcher anymore,

(18:23):
just release him because he's not the future anymore. You've
got to establish him as the future. You can't swipe
that out from underneath him. The only way that it
happens with Mark Brisco winning and Kyle Fletcher losing is
if Kyle Fletcher just abandons the Don Kallis family and
just goes insane.

Speaker 8 (18:45):
So this is is this going to be another pay
per view? And maybe this is outn't we should say
this for later? But will this be another pay per
view where there's no belts that switch? Like? That's why
I'm looking at the TNT title too. But like point Kyle,
I just I totally agreed. You gotta keep Kyle like
at that level because he is going to be one

(19:06):
of the guys. So does that mean the tag titles
switch that we're going to talk about next or are
there are there no title switches to that? And I
think that's a problem with some of the aw shows too.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
Here's the thing, here's the thing. Yeah, you got to
keep him at that level. But it's not gonna hurt
him to lose this title and win it back the
next week. It won't hurt him at all because it
will just prove that he he is the future, and
he does have a future because he's been able to
come back overcome a minor blipping the road, and you
can just go for the I mean, yeah, I get

(19:39):
what you're saying about. Yeah, you got to keep the
rocket on him. But you but you have so many
things going on in the don Kallis family right now.
You have a new i GP World heavyweight champion in
the Don Kallis family.

Speaker 8 (19:53):
So you know, do you take the risk though?

Speaker 5 (19:56):
I mean yeah, you do, because like I said, you
take I take the risk because it Mark Briscoe a
little tiny run gives the fans who are way behind
him right now, Like you said, Barry, he gives.

Speaker 9 (20:08):
Them a little thrill.

Speaker 5 (20:10):
And then Kyle comes back the next time he wrestles him,
and he could just stomp a mud hole in him,
beat the living crap out of him and say, look
I had I had a small blitz.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Well let me let me interject something here. You said
that the fans are behind Mark Briscoe. I truly believe,
even though Kyle Fletcher is a heel, I do believe
that the fans are more behind Kyle Fletcher than they
are Mark Briscow.

Speaker 9 (20:39):
I don't know. I just think.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Right now Mark Mark Briscoe is not the future of
a w Kyle Fletcher is and you can't and you
can't have him Kyle Fletcher take two big losses in
a row that would totally unvindicate him.

Speaker 8 (20:57):
That That's what convinced me, Kelson when you pointed that out,
Like that was the piece that I wasn't connecting before
you brought it up. And I really think that's a
fantastic point, Kelson, I really do.

Speaker 6 (21:08):
I think you sold me to Like sometimes it's good
to put smiles on faces, yeah, but yeah, not at
the expense of Kyle's push right now.

Speaker 8 (21:17):
Yeah, you can still work this, like Sutton said, like Okay,
maybe now's not the time for that. You know, maybe
it's still Brisco's the guy, but it's three months from
now where Kyle's been firmly established, he's got significant wins. Dudes,
dude's a badass. Maybe that's that face turn while he's
moving out of the don callis family starts at that point.

(21:39):
But like you can still do it three months from
now and give it the fans that just going in space.
But I think Kelson, you changed my opinion, like is
he needs that one.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
The only way that Fletcher loses this match is if
next week's Dynamite he beat Tagman Adam Paige where the
aw Men's were championship.

Speaker 8 (22:01):
Or he gets hurt and they do the count out finish.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
So let's move on to our fourth match, which is
the aw World Tag Team Championship. Brodido going against Knoski,
Takeshta and Kazuka Kazuchka. I'm sorry, Okata, uh. I think

(22:28):
this is the match of the night. This is the
one that I'm looking forward to the most. This is
the one. This is the match. What do you guys say?
Because I have my opinions, but I want to hear
your yours first.

Speaker 7 (22:40):
I think and after the match are immediately going to
nuclear wave on each other, just gonna split the don
Kwis family.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
King.

Speaker 12 (22:53):
I think that there are disagreements Okada and and and Takeshta.
They're just agreement is going to interfere into this match
and keep them from winning. They're they're at odds and
it's it's going to not have their minds on beating
band Broddo. So and I agree that right after this match,

(23:18):
they're going to blame one another for the loss, and
it's going to begin to fracture the Callus family a lot.
So I'm looking.

Speaker 6 (23:28):
Forward, yes, oh thank you. Yep aw's Hottest Tag Team
versus A e W's Hottest Tag Team?

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Which is which?

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say which one?

Speaker 8 (23:51):
Are we talking about?

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Who gets?

Speaker 9 (23:55):
Who gets?

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Who gets the per That's what I want to know.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
It's anyone's guest.

Speaker 7 (24:03):
No, I did.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
Okada and Takeshtar are very very very very pretty men,
very pretty. They're not going to win this match though,
for the reasons that Ned already said doubt. They're going
to start fighting each other and there's too much to
send you. We obviously don't like each other, and uh,
tag teams who don't like each other don't stay, don't
tag matches, or at least not always.

Speaker 8 (24:27):
There's there's four champions in this match now, and I
had a completely different perspective for this match before take
won the title. This weekend, like, it's just completely different.
So I'm watching and I'm looking at this match now
and I'm questioning where the Takesha that Okada match occurs.

(24:49):
I thought it was going to be on an AW show,
but with take is the iw GP champ? Does that
happen at Ruscllo Kingdom of January now against Okada? Like,
does Tony give New Japan a solid because they need
that draw? That that's the match they run any rate
back to this one. I'm with everybody else, I think,

(25:09):
especially since they ate the pin this week that uh
bandido or what do they called brodido?

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Brodida retains?

Speaker 8 (25:19):
Yeah, Brodida retains. I'm fascinated on who takes the pin.
I don't think you pinned the just crowned IWGP champion,
and I don't know how you pin Okada here? So
what do you think the finishes? Is there a pin?

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Is it?

Speaker 8 (25:37):
Does it end in a no DQ because they start
fighting with each other? Is it a count out?

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Like?

Speaker 8 (25:43):
How do you how do you book the finish to this?
I'm honestly curious what you guys think, because I don't
know what direction they go.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
What are the usual time limits for a champion for
a tag Championship match?

Speaker 8 (25:55):
Is it sixty do they state that?

Speaker 5 (25:58):
I'm just wondering because I could actually see it going
to a time limit draw.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
As far as I know, it's sixteen minutes for all,
But the E and t TV. I think those are
both twenty. The Continental was twenty, but since it's not
around anymore, it doesn't I don't think it. Or they
may be using those rules for the Unified. I'm not

(26:27):
completely sure the Continental. As far as I know, the
Continental rules applied to the to the to that title.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Now that's they've been OK, we're getting a little off
topic here. Well yeah, way, we're way off topic here.
Let's stick.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Who's the reason I asked that because I agree with
Burry one?

Speaker 9 (26:46):
How do you have either one of those two take
the take the fall?

Speaker 5 (26:49):
The only other option I can see happening is it's
a double It's a double pin. They just take it
some people where they knock them both down and each
guy pins one of the other guys.

Speaker 7 (26:59):
And but who what I mean didn't matter?

Speaker 8 (27:05):
Ocadoes, they won toll matter.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
It really really does matter.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Octag fall provided that him and to test to get
into it, leaving Brotido time to kind of recover. They
kind of beat each other to catch the halls Off
hits raging fire. Rodido hits that crazy four monkey flip

(27:31):
four fifty one two three to catch the you know,
beat and leave.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Yeah, well, well look let me let me break in here.
If you guys saw it, Don Kallas just had his
sixty second birthday celebration. Kenoski Takeshta was in Japan for
the iw GP Championship match agains Zach Saber Junior, which
he won, so he did not actually get a chance

(28:05):
to uh to, he did actually not get a chance
to be a be there to celebrate with. I'm sorry
I had to mute Barry because he was making a
lot of noise. Uh you were. But anyway, so during

(28:32):
this they did have a video of Kenoskate Takeshta wishing
Don Calisa anniversary, which cut off because because Okada turned
it off, I hit the wrong button. I'm so sorry,
you know so So in this particular match, I don't

(28:56):
believe that Okada at Takeshta give a rat's ass about
beating Brodido at all. I think they have every intention
of beating the crap out of each other. This is
where this is going. They're going to beat each other
and cause each other to lose. It really does not
matter who takes the pin here be what matters is

(29:18):
who causes the other to take the pin the most.
I do believe that Takesha is gonna go babyface and
it's gonna be as simple as that. And I liked
Barrie's idea that we're gonna see maybe Takeshta Dokata at

(29:38):
Russell Kingdom twenty.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Yes, yes, I like that a lot, and especially you
have already been announced the Cask's place got on November second,
so that'll give them a defense already. And honestly, there's
not really another good Kingdom match up.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Yeah. The only thing that the only thing that will
put a little bit of a kebash on that Barry
is that if you remember Russell Kingdom and Russell Dream
earlier this year. I believe it was on January fifth,
Ocatta did not appear, and when he was asked why
he didn't appear, Okada simply said, I have no intention

(30:24):
of wrestling ever again in Japan. So that that was
that was basically it. So that being said, if he
still feels that way, then I don't think you can
see to catch that Akata at Russell Uh at Russell Kingdom.

Speaker 8 (30:39):
Yeah, maybe not. I just that's that would really help
New Japan out if they could do that.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
But at that point, right, yeah, yeah, I was thinking
he was already at steal at that point, So that's
something a heel would Okay, Yeah, is.

Speaker 9 (31:03):
Is there a new Japan show in America again? Between
now and then?

Speaker 2 (31:08):
They are doing a new Japan show in America. They
did announce that, but I for I did really look
at the date. I February that yes, that.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
February, that'll be when it happens, if there will be true.

Speaker 9 (31:20):
I honestly don't think that what Okada said was was
it was a work.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
I think he I think he was straight telling it
like it is because from the thing, the way I
took it is he is just done with Japan because
I don't think there's anything that to prove there. I mean,
come on, the man's won everything and anything you could
win when he's in Japan. What's the what, What's what's
the business to go back? He's an America now, he
doesn't want to go back, so there, I just think

(31:46):
it'll be the American show.

Speaker 8 (31:49):
Okada giving Takesha to the rub in Japan at Russell
Kingdom would be a huge deal for New Japan, no
doubt Japanese wrestling and Takesha to understands significance of that
and I not to catch up. I'm seeing Okada understands
the significance of that, and if it was pushed and
they are all in on this being a passing of
the torch, so to speak. I do think he participate.

(32:11):
Don't know if that's how that they approach their taking.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 8 (32:15):
Performers understand the significance at that moment.

Speaker 9 (32:17):
I get that.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
But here's the thing we're assuming. You guys are talking
like they're going for the iw GP title. That's not
the title they're going to be going for. They're gonna
be going for Okada's title. When these two face off.
It's not gonna be for the i w GP title.
It's going to be for ocudas title. So it's not
gonna be in Japan, it's gonna be in It's probably

(32:38):
going to be the last pay per view of the
year here. That's what they're gonna They're not gonna get
They're not gonna put the i w GP.

Speaker 9 (32:45):
Title back on a Kada. There's just that's just not
gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Well, it may not be. It may not happen, but
that doesn't mean they could be the match.

Speaker 9 (32:54):
I'm telling you title.

Speaker 12 (32:57):
I remember a while back we were talking on the
podcast before Okada won, and one of the things a
lot of us were saying was that we wanted to
see a champion that moved around and went to different
promotions and defended. So I think it would be good

(33:20):
for him to be at Russell Kingdom with Takeshta, And
I think it's kind of also passing the torch to
Takeshta in Japanese wrestling, So I think that if anything
happens between them, it happens there.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
And also, you don't.

Speaker 9 (33:37):
Forget there is the continent, the Continental Tournament coming up
to the.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Other see too well, you know, to Net's point, when
I look at Takesha, I kind of have to compare
him with Kyle Pletcher. Tequsha is the future. Okada isn't,
right right, you know? Although Okada is on a different
level than on I'm not I'm not saying a different level,

(34:02):
but another kind of level, different personality, different style, everything
than Mark Briscoe of course. But but let's let's move
on to our next match.

Speaker 8 (34:14):
How old is I think he's like it is like
thirty fourish, only thirty seven. I thought Ocanna was older
than that he's got.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
He just started wrestling when he was like sixteen.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Yeah, I mean, I mean when you look at wrestlers,
when you look at wrestler's age, I think you have
to look at wear and tear, the years of wear
and tear, you know, instead of you know how many
birthdays they've had. So moving on to the next match.
This one's kind of interesting. Darby Allen and John Moxley
in an I quit match. No title involved here. Uh,

(34:53):
you know what. John Moxley has a reputation of quitting.

Speaker 11 (35:01):
He does.

Speaker 9 (35:04):
He quit? He quit?

Speaker 5 (35:06):
Uh, he quite against hang Many.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
It's true, can be half help. He's never actually said
the words I quit.

Speaker 16 (35:18):
That's a well, I know, I know, it's just really
distin but there there's a difference, Like there's actually having
to look at him and say I quit, I give
up your betters, and that's different than just halving your
shoulder to get out of it.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yeah, but he's done the old shoulder tap twice now
with hang Man. I remember both times were dangling off
the side of the out the side of the ring
with the chain wrapped around his neck. But but that
has happened.

Speaker 8 (35:55):
I think that's the finish I think the finish is
is passing out. He doesn't tap, he doesn't say equity
passes out, and they call the match, and then that
continues to feud. It's him screaming I never said the words,
I never quit. I never said the.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Words he didn't. Is that part of the stipulation though, Barry,
I don't know what the rules pass out in an
equip matches?

Speaker 7 (36:17):
You do, you lose?

Speaker 8 (36:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (36:21):
Go ahead, Okay, thank you. We all know, probably all
know about this, but just for the benefit of some
of our younger listeners who may not have seen this,
Once upon a time, it was a very famous equip
match between The Rock and mcfoley, and in order to

(36:42):
win that match, mcfoley, being the insane death match sicko
that he was and probably still is, he, mcfoley had
to be made to pass out and The Rock wound
up using a recording of mcfoley's voice saying the words
I QUI it and that counted. So if we see

(37:03):
something similar to that, it wouldn't shock me.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
There was another one, Jess, Jess. There was another one
also in WWE, where I can't remember who it was.
I know it was Edge, but I can't remember who
his opponent was for the life of me. It just
escapes me. But Edge was made to say I quit
because his opponent had Beth Phoenix in a compromising position

(37:28):
like I'm going to slash your throat kind of position,
and Edge, to protect his wife, said I quit. What
if John Moxley becomes human and they're fighting backstage. Remember
this is an I quit match. It's going to go everywhere.
What if Darby Allen accidentally gets, you know, Renee Piquette

(37:49):
in a compromising kind of situation and John Moxley, to
protect Renee Piquette, says I quit. Just putting that out
there in a little bit. It doesn't I'm just putting
it up there, and I don't know.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
There's also one key difference there. The person who when
it edges wife was a heel. Darby's the face. He
can't do ship like that. Yes, he's crazy. He can
threaten to burn people alive. But maybe Moxley would quit

(38:28):
for a protege, not Willard. You to of course, who
Darby should threaten first, and Mosley shrugs his shoulders. But
then when Darby threatens the new kid Garcia, then Moxley's
like no, no, not cool man, not cool.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
I quit.

Speaker 6 (38:52):
Darby.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I don't know if Darby can win this match without backup, Like,
who's going to help him?

Speaker 6 (38:57):
It's you know, him versus the Death Writers.

Speaker 7 (38:59):
We all know this.

Speaker 6 (39:00):
Who's going to have Darby back?

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Because I don't see him winning if somebody doesn't have
Darby's back.

Speaker 7 (39:06):
Is the icon.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
I was hoping. I was thinking Sting possibly too. I
hope you're right Nelson so much. I hope you're right
about that.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
I do think that Sting is going to make an
appearance in AW, because he did say that at the
end of twenty twenty five he is not going to
be wearing the face paint anymore. I think at the
end of twenty twenty five, we are going to see
you know, Sting back at AW in the face paint,
participating in something, not necessarily in a match, but maybe

(39:43):
in a ceremony or something like that.

Speaker 12 (39:46):
But I do think we'll say, wouldn't it be great?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Go ahead?

Speaker 12 (39:55):
Net Sorry, if Sting came out as a distraction, let's
just say he distracted the Death Riders, Mocksley whoever, and
his sons actually helped Darby.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
I would I would really like to see Steve Borden
stings son come out and help Darby in this match,
and as you said, have the actual real Sting up
at the raptors as a distraction and kind of a
passing into torch thing.

Speaker 8 (40:25):
I would love he's not What if he's not actually
in the rafters. What if he is Kelson, just Steve
Bordon and they're they're battling in the crowd or whatever,
you know, as they do in these matches, and he
bumps into some guy moxtas and he turns around and
he's going to give the guy the business, but oh
lo and behold, it's not just some guy. It's Steve Borden,

(40:47):
you know. And then whoever tells us it's Sting and
he gets a couple of punches in or whatever. So
that kind of opens the door to his family being
there to have Darby's back without it actually being Sting,
and then his son can do that run in later
to help him win. I'd love to see him.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
That would be cool to.

Speaker 8 (41:03):
Just yeah, random, oh my god, that's not just any
dude that's Sting, that's Steve Borden.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
That would be cool. I will admit that that would
be me.

Speaker 8 (41:12):
I like the idea of kid helping I think that's
who was that was that storm or who said that?
I like that idea a lot sting son helping Darby.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Well, well let's move one because we've got yet another match.
This one's pretty interesting, the Young Bucks versus Jurassic Express. Uh,
somebody is typing really loud.

Speaker 17 (41:47):
Oh no, that's just me spamming the raised hand button
because I want to speak first and the loudest about
this topic. I have not gotten to talk about jungle
Jack Perry in two years. For the veterans who watch
the podcast for a long time, Okay, listen, Jurassic Express
are going to freaking body the Young Bucks so bad

(42:08):
that they are actually going to look like a jobbers,
and they will become number one contenders for the Tag
team Championships.

Speaker 7 (42:14):
Are gonna win that. They're gonna bell collect everything and
depend them on exploding Bardwark cage matches. It's gonna be
so awesome.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Yeah, and they're gonna get help from Griff Garrison at
Returning lalor Hurst. Yes, we know, Lauren, what happened. Nobody's talking.
I'll go.

Speaker 5 (42:41):
I think Jurassic Express wins it, just for the simple
fact that you don't want them to loseing their their
second match back.

Speaker 9 (42:48):
They have nothing to I mean, the Young Bucks have nothing.

Speaker 5 (42:50):
To prove by getting a win. This is a chance
for them to do what they do best is put
somebody over. So I think they're gonna win it. I
think it's gonna be a good match. But I definitely
think Durrassic Express winds.

Speaker 6 (43:02):
And besides, poor Bucks are way too funny to stop now.

Speaker 8 (43:06):
Yeah, I agree, the Bucks are a lot more fun
when they're broke, and I think you're right if you
want to get Terressic Express off to a strong start
and then doing the job here, it doesn't really make
a lot of sense, so i'd like I still think
they should have done the butler stipulation I had a
couple of weeks ago, or the Young Bucks have to
be somebody's butler if they use but I think Express win.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
I'm going to go against the grade here. I think
the Young Bucks win this match. The reason why is, yes,
they're really good at putting people over, and anybody just
says that they're not, it just doesn't watch the show.
But the Young Bucks are very very good putting talent over. However,
if you lose all the time, you're not really putting
anybody over. You've got to win and have a future

(43:51):
match against Lucasaurus and and Jack Perry to put them over.
Then I think putting them over in this match would
be kind of expected and kind of a waste of
the match.

Speaker 6 (44:06):
I mean, they did win, they want all that money,
and then.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
Matt blew it all in the casino.

Speaker 12 (44:16):
That's why will win. They need that money. That's their incentive.
So I think they'll win this match.

Speaker 4 (44:26):
I'm following Brandon Tyler's advice and venting against the Young
Bucks on pay per view.

Speaker 7 (44:32):
Yeah, I mean like like the Young Bucks, like, listen,
they do not need that money. Okay, Jurassic Express they
need that money.

Speaker 6 (44:42):
They need it well, yeah, they needed to fund Jack
Kerry's secret evil scientists laugh his woodworking.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
Making skills.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
I think we all could agree that the Young Bucks
need the money a lot more than than the Jurassic
Expressed US.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
Shoes.

Speaker 6 (45:08):
Look, if they if they if they get the money,
then Nick is just gonna blow in the casino.

Speaker 4 (45:13):
Do we really want to fund Nick?

Speaker 6 (45:16):
They met whichever Jackson's gambling addiction?

Speaker 4 (45:19):
Are we really that like Nick Nicholas.

Speaker 7 (45:25):
Jack Perry.

Speaker 8 (45:26):
Oh yeah, don't get fined. It's Nicholas.

Speaker 6 (45:29):
Okay, yes, I would. I would rather fund of Jack
Perry's blacksmith forge then Nicholas Jackson's gambling addiction.

Speaker 15 (45:39):
Agreed.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Yeah, I stand by my pick. I'm going with the
young bucks. One question.

Speaker 8 (45:48):
One question on these guys for Jack Perry, what's the
what's the crowds live here? On his his leather knife
holster that doesn't ever have a bowie knife in it? Like,
what are you guys thinking about that?

Speaker 2 (46:01):
It's probably in see I'm Punk's back. I don't know.
Neguratively speaking, I thought.

Speaker 4 (46:15):
We're took his knife.

Speaker 8 (46:17):
Away, Okay, I didn't think last week. It would makes
sense if he had like a plastic knife or something
that he takes off or just takes the off. I
don't understand leaving the bell time with that big leather thing.
It's just distract.

Speaker 6 (46:33):
It'd be funny if you had like a plastic cutlery
knife in it.

Speaker 11 (46:38):
Pulls, that would be funny.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
Hey, hey, Barry, I want to revisit something if you have,
If you don't mind.

Speaker 8 (46:45):
I just want to see everybody later.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Yeah. I did want to point out that Barry was
tickled by Pac calling Darby Allen a piece of clap
the other night. I believe that's what he said. I
and I just want to get your go ahead and
give you time to say how much you love that
and put you on the spot. I don't remember that

(47:11):
you went off on discord about just how much you
loved that. I was like, okay, yes you did. You're like,
oh what he said called the Darby al and a
piece of piece of crap. It had your role and
I was like, okay, get in. I just thought it
was funny. I just want to give you an opportunity
to laugh about it some more. But but he doesn't

(47:31):
remember it. He's getting old, folks, He's getting old. Yeah.
So the next match, this one is interesting. I like
this match and that it's a big time match with
no title involved. Tecla against Jamie Hayter. If you remember
when Chris Statlerder Did Pat Did Pin Tony Storm to

(47:54):
win the aw Women's World Championship, Techlan taken Jamie Hayter
out of the match by spearing her off the rig
apron onto the floor, which allowed Chris Statland to then
go face to face with UH with Tony storm So.
And also remember that it was Techlar who took out

(48:15):
Jamie Hater when she debuted. When Techla debuted, uh, giving
Jimmy Hayter, you know, some time to combalesce from an injury,
so they have some big time that is something. So
you've got Tecla taking out Jamie Hayter was one thing.
Then you had Techla taking out Jamie Hayter in the

(48:36):
four way for the Women's World Championship. That's another thing.
Then you've got Techlan Jami Hayter probably going to face
each other in the Women's Blood and Guts on November twelve.
So this match is actually quite cool to me. What
do you guys think?

Speaker 4 (48:56):
Like this a straight up slobry not here, like you
were gonna eat rap out of each other. And it's
gonna be awesome. And I have no idea who's gonna win.
And that's great.

Speaker 9 (49:09):
I think Techla's gonna win because the her sisters are
gonna get involved.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
Yeah, but don't you think that Jimmy Haters gonna have
some backup too.

Speaker 9 (49:19):
I don't think that she's coming to the ring with backup.

Speaker 5 (49:23):
You know that the other two are gonna be with Tecla.
You know, Skott Blue is coming down with her, so
they're gonna.

Speaker 9 (49:30):
Be already out there. I think they're gonna cost Jimmy
the match. Then somebody will come out to help her.

Speaker 5 (49:35):
It'll be Queen Amanada and whoever else and we you know,
that's what I see happening.

Speaker 9 (49:41):
I think Techla's gonna win. I just see her winning it.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
Yeah, well, don't forget that. We have sky Blue versus
Jimmie Hater on this week's Dynamite Collision, So I mean
something can happen there to bring out somebody to have
Jamie haters back during this match, or they can make
a stipulation nobody allowed at the ring. So I kind

(50:08):
of expect on I kind of expect sky Blue to
get the wind on on Dynamite, uh, because hey, let's
look at it this way. If sky Blue beats beats
Jamie Hater, then Jami Hater is definitely gonna beat Tecla.
If Jami Hater beats sky Blue, I kind of believe
the Techlo would beat Jamie Hater.

Speaker 9 (50:30):
Did did did the Black mist get used on Jamie?

Speaker 2 (50:34):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (50:35):
I thought sim okay because I was thinking if it
hadn't been that maybe they would do that again, but
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
Yeah, Jamie, Jamie Hayter, Julia Hart won. Julia Hart won
after hitting Jamie Hater with the black myst.

Speaker 6 (50:51):
Does that mean Jamie's gonna turn evil?

Speaker 5 (50:54):
No?

Speaker 8 (50:56):
No, I don't know who wins here? Man have they
used to mistakely? I haven't seen it used.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
Well, Julia Hart's really the only one that's used it lately.
And uh, I don't know Jamie Hayter. I didn't, wait,
didn't Did Julia Heart use it on Queen Amanada as well?

Speaker 8 (51:18):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (51:21):
And I think that was after the Jamie Hater thing.
I'm not sure, you know, somebody in the chat or
whatever let us know, but I do think that I do.
I'm pretty sure that Julia used it on Jamie Hayter
and Queen Amanada. So where do you go for sure?

Speaker 8 (51:44):
Where do you go with these two after this match?
Like when I think about who's going to win, I
basically base it off of that, And I don't know
where they go with these two.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Well, Blood and Guts November twelve, Blood and Guts no.
Ember twelfth, that's the immediate.

Speaker 8 (51:57):
Thing that it is set up, So they just keep
bumped the two of them just keep bumping ends or
you just keep running those two and three women tag
matches up until then to continue building the team.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
Maybe a blood and gods. The winner the winning team
gets to choose one of their members as the next
contender to face, probably Chris Statlander, as you know, the
uh the women's World.

Speaker 8 (52:24):
They should have put a number one contender step on
this match or something to give it a little more juice.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
But I guess that's what they may do it. They
may do that tomorrow night. They may do that on
dyning my collisions, so you never know. Well, let's move
on to the last match representing the don Kallis family.
None of them are representing the don Kallis family, but
they should. We've got the demand and hurt syndicate in

(52:52):
a trios match. I got to say something, Where the
hell did the demand come from? I mean, what is
there some kind of some dific it's about that name.
It doesn't make any sense. Bald agony was right there.

Speaker 8 (53:08):
Yeah I'm not I think.

Speaker 7 (53:13):
Gates of agony, but yeah, yeah, there are gates apologize.

Speaker 9 (53:20):
They're they're demanding there. They came from literally from them
demanding respect. That's what it came from.

Speaker 12 (53:27):
I thought it there are Gates of Agony, and then
Ricochet is demanded to be great, so he joins the
Gates of Agony, and then they are all in demand.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
Go ahead, just I was gonna say, demand is a verb.

Speaker 6 (53:49):
It's not an adjective. It's not a thing you can be.

Speaker 12 (53:56):
Demanding demanded.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
They are the demand. It is basically saying this, we're
gonna be Look. One thing I want to point out
is that tomorrow night on the Dynamite Collision three hour show, Uh,
the Gates of Agony will be facing Bobby Lashley and
Shelton Benjamin. I kind of look into that match like,
whoever wins that match kind of telegraphs who's gonna win

(54:22):
this match at the at a W Russell dream to me?

Speaker 12 (54:25):
Does it though?

Speaker 8 (54:26):
Because they just had the brawl and the hurt Sydy
Kit one and then if the Demand wins on Wednesday
or Gates of Agony wins on Wednesday, that's a one
one I don't think that's.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Yeah, that's true. Yeah, but if the hurts, it hurts
tomorrow night, Yeah, they're already one in one yeah yeah,
but but if if hurt signy get wins tomorrow night.
That's two in a row. That means the demand Balda
he is gonna win. I think.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
Green and they should.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Yeah, I've this match. I don't know. I'm not real
excited about this match. I do have to give credit
to MVP and Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin because it
sure seems like they're really trying to put over younger
talent as well.

Speaker 8 (55:27):
I've enjoyed this feud a lot. I think they were
great together. Yeah, I'm loving go uh more and more
every week. Keep them on TV. Keep just beating people
up man.
