still talking about forgiveness. We've beentalking about that the last few weeks.
The last two weeks we talked aboutforgiving, and again today we're gonna talk
(03:07):
about forgiveness. So that's three showsdedicated to forgiveness. Hey, Brianie,
thank you for coming in. Broalways glad to see you. Hey January,
all my siblings are coming in.Thank y'all so much for tuning in.
I appreciate y'all. We're wrapping thisthing up about forgiveness. We've been
talking about it now for the lastcouple of weeks, and you know,
(03:30):
I can't even planning for this tobe a three week study on forgiveness,
but that's just the way that itturned out. But we know that forgiveness
is important, isn't it. Itis a necessity. It is necessary for
us to forgive and to allow ourselvesto be able to be forgiven, and
so you know, we know alot of people struggle with that, and
(03:52):
so we've just been talking about forgiveness, talking about the unhealthiness of holding on
to unforgiveness. Hey, Rachel, how you doing. Thank you so much
for tuning in. I appreciate you. Sis y'all, share the live,
Share the live, and let's getsome people here here for tonight's show.
All right, I'm gonna go aheadand jump into this scripture so that we
can pray and we can get thisshow on the road. All right.
(04:14):
So today I'm gonna be coming toyou guys from the book of Joel Joel.
Some people say, Joel Joel, chapter two, and we're gonna be
looking at verse twenty five through twentyseven. All right, So Joel chapter
two, reading verses twenty five throughtwenty seven, I'm gonna go ahead and
read those. It says, Iwill repay you for the years the locusts
(04:39):
have eaten, the great locusts andthe young locusts, the other locusts in
the locust swarm, my great armythat I sent among you. You will
have plenty to eat until you arefull, and you will praise the name
of the Lord your God, whohas worked wonders for you. Never again
(05:00):
will my people be shamed. Thenyou will know that I am in Israel,
that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other
Never again will my people be shamed. All right, So we're gonna go
ahead and go into a word ofprayer before we start talking about this word
on today. Do having a father, Lord, We just thank you,
(05:23):
Lord for another opportunity that was notpromised to us. God, God,
well, thank you for keeping usthroughout this day. God, God,
I just asked that you was justcome in the mist right now. Oh
God, have your way tonight,Lord Jesus. Lord, let the words
that come out of my mouth, let them be from the spirit God,
and let them be edifying to thepeople that the ears that they follow on
God, let it not follow ondeath. Ears. God, but help
(05:45):
us to be able to really dealwith this thing called forgiveness. God.
Show us where we have unforgiveness.God, and help us give us the
grace God and the mercy that weneed. Lord, help us to be
able to forgive one another. God, anybody who has wronged us, who
has mishandled to us. God,allow us to soften our hearts so that
we may be able to forgive themand to love them Lord, like you
(06:05):
have called us to do. God. God, we just thank you for
your son down on the cross,so that we can be forgiven and we
can be saved God, and beable to have this wonderful, wonderful gift
of salvation that you have given us. God. God, I asked you
just continue to do the good workin us that you've already begun. God,
and we know that you're going tocomplete it in Jesus' name. Amen.
Amen, All right, guys, all right, So we're talking about
(06:30):
forgiven. So the last couple ofweeks we talked about forgiving people. The
reason it was we know that everythinghappens for a purpose and God is always
working things out. Hey, Nica, hey this, thank you so much
for tuning in. We know thateven when we can't see in the midst
of things that are happening, whenpeople are wronging us, or we're being
(06:50):
mistreated, we're being misunderstood, we'rebeing mishandled, any of those things,
we can't always see the purpose inthat, we can't always see how it
works for our good, but weknow that God will work for our good.
But today I want to talk tospin this ankle just a little bit
more. Okay, So we haveall we all have regrets. Everybody on
(07:11):
here has regrets. We have sorrows, We have wounds and scars from past
sin in our lives, things thatwe've done that we know we're against God.
We've sinned against God, and sowe all have been guilty the Bible,
so all have sin fallen short ofthe glory of God. So we
know that we all have had todeal with this thing called sin. But
(07:34):
we know that God promises us thathe is faithful and he is just,
and he will forgive us of oursins. All we have to do is
repent. And so God promises usto not only will he forgive us,
but he will heal us. Right, he will heal us from those scars
and the things that even the thingsthat we have bought on our own selves.
(07:57):
You know, we may have tostill suffer in life. We might
have to suffer lifelong trials for someof the decisions that we've made, some
of the sins that the choices thatwe've uh the chose to commit sin in
the past. We may have somekind of illness or you know, all
(08:20):
kinds of different consequences come behind sin. So we could we might have something
that is a lifelong ailment that wehave to bear. But the Lord is
able to restore us. Hey,Braileen, how you doing baby? Thank
you for tuning in. The Lordis able to restore us. So we
see here where in the Bible itsays he will repay you the years that
the locals have eaten. Right,so all the years that you that have
(08:43):
been that you might have felt, have been eaten up by shame or guilt,
uh feeling. You know, wefeel shameful about the sins that we've
committed. Sometimes it calls us tobecome inclusive, to withdraw because of those
things, or even immaturity. Right, we do a lot of things as
(09:07):
we're developing because of immaturity. ButGod can restore the years that have been
eaten eaten up by those things,as he promises us here now. He's
not gonna turn back the hands oftime, right, So he's not gonna
go back and let you start over, right, But he can, Uh,
He's able to pack so much lifeand vitality in the life that you
(09:31):
have in the days that you haveleft. Right. So that's what we're
saying when we say restore the years. He can. He can give you
so much life in the time thatyou have, uh, that are that
are still here, and and andand sometimes we think of wealth as that
thing, but we're we shouldn't alwaysthink of wealth, because the Bible says
(09:52):
the poor will always be among you. So but we think about a restored
relationship with Christ right when he wasstores and years restoration with him, and
that is the most important thing rightnow. Even though he will give us
pleasures, things that we desire, the desires of our heart, things like
(10:13):
that. He says that he wouldthat we were prosper even as our soul
prosperous. So I'm not saying thatwe cannot be prosperous. I'm saying that
shouldn't be the goal, right ofwhat we're desiring in our restoration. We
want to be restored to Christ,to right us, being in right standing
with the Lord. And so whenwe're talking about forgiveness, sometimes we don't
(10:37):
think about that, we need toforgive ourselves. Right, So, even
in the midst of us forgiving everyoneelse and their trespasses, we need to
forgive ourselves for the things that wehave done, because we don't want to
be stuck. When you're holding ontoo unforgiveness for yourself with yourself, it'll
leave you stuck in a place thatis also unhealthy. Right, because we
(11:00):
want to make sure that we havegrowth, that we're moving forward, and
so we have to be able toforgive ourselves. Jesus already paid it all
right, We're getting ready to comeup on resurrection Sunday. Jesus on the
cross, he said it is finishedright, So he's already done. He's
already finished it, right. Sowe're just walking this thing out. If
(11:20):
we remember, even back when we'rethinking about Jesus on the cross and the
thief that was next to Jesus onthe cross, what happened with that thief?
Who could tell me what happened tothe thief on the cross with Jesus?
Somebody put in the in the comments, what happened with the thief on
the cross with Jesus. Anybody thatcan tell me, if you know,
(11:45):
make sure you say hey. Ifyou're in watching God see several people that
have joined me, and I mighthave missed you might have said hello and
I missed it coming across the screen. But if you've come in, if
you've joined me, say hello soI can shout you out so that I
know that you're there, because Ican't see you there, but I can
see you there, say so,say what's up? If I have not
called you, excuse me if Ihave not called your name or to say
(12:09):
you out there? I got anybodythat can tell me about the thief on
the cross with Jesus. Just giveme, give me, give me a
good answer. What do you remember? He believed and will join Jesus in
(12:31):
Perids. Thank you man, that'sit, Thank you January. That's right.
He believed. Hey Grady, howyou doing so great to have your
awn sis. But the thief onthe cross, he lived a life of
fevery, murder, mischief, selfishness. Hey cousin, Hey thirteen, that's
(12:52):
to see you. Thank you somuch for joining me. He lived this
life all his life how he wantedto live it, committing crimes, sin,
doing whatever he wanted to do.That's why he was on the cross.
And Jesus, but he believed, and Jesus told me that on this
day you will be in paradise.Right, So we see right there,
(13:13):
the how Jesus forgives, he's quickto forgive. He's not slow to forgive.
He's quick to forgive. And sowe should be rejoicing in as to
know that if this man did wronghis whole life. But before Jesus,
our God already knew that this manwas gonna be on the cross right there,
and he already knew that he wasgoing to be offered salvation right and
(13:35):
so he was able to enter intothat. And we still, just like
y'all, were able to answer thatquestion. We still talk about and know
this person to this day, eventhough we don't have a name. Hey
Mama, thank you so much fortuning in. But people always talking about
the thief on the cross with Jesus. So even in those those short moments
(13:56):
of life that he had left afterthat encounter with Jesus, look at the
impact that his life had. Andso that's what I want to encourage you
on today, because we're not hangingon a cross, right, we still
have time. We don't know howmuch time we have, but we have
time. And so when we repentand we ask for forgiveness, we forgive
ourselves, we can start living inthe fullness of joy. Then when you
(14:16):
repent and you forgive yourself and youask God for forgiveness and you turn from
those ways. Hey Melanie, howyou doing, friend? I miss you
today, so great to see youon. Thank you for joining. But
God has given us a promise here. He said he will repay you for
the years the locusts have eaten.Right, I feel like I'm a living
(14:37):
testimony of that, like all theseyears you know, well, I was,
I was. I actually strive totry to live right when I was,
when I was young. I reallyI've always had been sensitive to the
spirit. My mom helped me tostart developing my faith at a very early
age. Drew Kelly, how youdoing, and thank you so much for
(15:00):
and in. But my mom,you know, reared me in the ways
of the Lord. And so itwasn't until I got grown and went off
to college and started living my ownlife that I was like, you know,
I'm being bad to do what Iwant to do. Now I ain't
and on my house and I'm gonnalive the way I want to live.
And so I started doing whatever Iwant to do. And so when I
look back at pictures of myself,uh, I'll be like, oo,
(15:22):
love, I was looking pretty rough, you know. And so you know,
God has been doing a new workin me. He's been doing you
know, I've just been spending somuch time in his presence, and I
feel like like you can see iton me, you know, I can
see it on me. And whenI look, I just look different.
I look younger. I know,my little brother he'll tell you, because
(15:46):
he told me, he's like,we'll seek you out. You're looking younger,
you know, And I feel likehe's restoring the years that the locals
have eaten. And so uh,and I just I feel like I'm gonna
get younger and younger. You know. The more time I spenish presence,
the more time I stay his feet, I feel the younger i'ma look,
the better I'm gonna feel. Ain'tthat right? Because that's right? And
(16:06):
so and so God is just revitalizingme and giving me more life, you
know. And so I believe thatwhen we were pinning, we turn from
our sinful ways, when we turnfrom those wicked ways and we turn towards
God and we forgive ourselves. Letgo of the guilt. You're not guilty,
right, There is not now nocondemnation. And those that are in
Christ Jesus, we are not guilty. So once we release that guilt,
(16:30):
let go of that shame, forgiveof yourself. I don't care what it
is that you've done, whatever itis, it doesn't matter whatever you if
you if you've murdered somebody, ifyou're so dope, if you cheated,
committed infidelity, adultry, if youstab somebody in the back, whatever it
(16:52):
is right, and we always thinkabout those big sins. But in my
Bible study on last Wednesday, theywere talking about the little foxes you know
that you don't really pay attention. They's like, yeah, everybody pay attention
to the big sins, but whatabout those little foxes, you know?
And it really grab my attention becauseyou know, we sometimes we get caught
up thinking, oh, we're doingso good, but we have to remember
(17:14):
this, by the grace of God, that we will say not anything of
ourselves. None is good but theFather. I don't care how good we
think we're doing. It's something. It's an area that were falling short in
uh. And that doesn't mean thatwe're practicing sin. So don't get me
wrong, I'm not saying that we'repracticing sin. I'm saying that we're human
and we fall short of the gloryof God. That's what the Word tells
(17:34):
us. And so we have tomake sure we check ourselves and know where
we are and be open minded andforgiving of our own selves. Whatever you've
done, don't keep holding on tothat hurt even if you you know,
if you've molested someone or whatever itis, ask God to forgive you,
(17:55):
be sincere about it, repent, turn from those ways, and forget yourself.
I feel like that is the mostimportant thing out of all these Bible
studies I've been doing for the pasttwelve weeks, I feel like we finished
out with The important thing is forgivingothers and forgiving yourselves and repenting. Right,
we have to repent, tell theLord we're sorry, and turn from
those things we're doing. We haveto forgive others, and we have to
(18:18):
forgive ourselves so that we can startliving the life that God has called us
to live. Life, and lifemore abundantly is what He has said that
He will give to us. Andso I just want you to always remember,
as you're going forth in life, only what you do for Christ is
gonna last. I've said that severaltimes on here, But I think that's
so important. You know, weget so caught up in materialistic things and
(18:44):
keeping up with the joneses and howI look and what I drive and where
I live, all of these things. But those things are not important.
What's important is how we love oneanother and how we love the Lord.
Right, so loving and giving iscrucial for us to make sure that we're
(19:04):
doing it, no matter how life, no matter how the chapters of your
life have an unveiled to this point, this far, it doesn't matter.
When you repent and you turn toJesus for salvation, he is able to
multiply. Look at that, multiplyto you the remaining years of your life,
(19:29):
and he will use you mightily forthe kingdom. He is willing to
receive the repentant and he is ableto restore the ruin. He is eager
to receive the repentant. Right. He's waiting on you to repent, and
then he is able to restore right. And we don't have to worry about
(19:52):
it, says, never again willmy people be shamed? Right, And
you don't have to worry about shamewhen you when you're walking with the Lord,
you don't have to worry about shame. And it's so funny that freedom
that you have and that I don't. I don't ever walk in shame.
I'm not shamed of anything I've everdone. Like I did it, I
have Lord to forgive me for it, and and I and I don't.
(20:15):
I don't let those chains hold me. I don't let them bind me.
Right, And I'm able to talkabout it. I'm able to uh testify
about it, to be able tohelp somebody else. Everything we're going through
in life, whatever challenges you're facing, whatever problems you're facing, it's just
preparing you. And so you utilizethat for the Lord. Whatever your testimony
(20:38):
is, there's somebody that can growfrom your testimony. There's somebody who can
receive hope from your testimony, whocould be encouraged inspired by your testimony.
Okay, and so we have tomake sure we should be witnessing if every
chance we get telling somebody about Jesus. Right, you cannot go back and
(21:00):
change. You can't go back tothe beginning of your life and change how
your life has started, how it'sbeen going. But you can start where
you are, and you can changehow your life ends. You can start
right now today with forgiving yourself, with asking God to forgive you, with
forgiving yourself, with forgiving others, and you can start today to walk a
(21:21):
new path to have those years restoredto you. And so as we go
into this resurrection Sunday, let's rememberthe sacrifice. Let's really take in what
was done on the cross, andwe are allowed to have our sins forgiven
(21:48):
if we forgive, and we're allowedto have eternal life. I heard something
the other day that was so powerful. I said people don't think about that.
Everybody's going to have eternal life.Oh it was past the back,
That's who it was. He saidit. Everybody's gonna have eternal life,
but you get to choose where areyou gonna spend it? Right, So
(22:11):
it's not some of us going intoeternal life and some of us are gonna
pass away and that's end. Everybodyis gonna live eternally. Everybody's going get
into eternal life. And so itmatters what we do here where we're gonna
spend that eternity. And so ifwe're playing on spending eternity with Jesus in
paradise like the thief on the cross, then we have to repent. We
(22:34):
have to forgive so that we canbe forgiven. All right, we have
to love love one another. SoI'm just asking you when you go to
church on Sunday, please go tochurch on Sunday. It's Easter. Everybody
go to church on Sunday. Everybodygo to church on Easter. Go to
church on Sunday and lay it allat his feet. Have the meta.
(23:00):
You sure you hear? Girl? You here better late than never. Come
on in the room, Come onin the room. All right, and
so I'm encouraging you all to whateverit is that you're dealing with, whatever
unforgiveness, you lad at his feet. We talked about the last week that
if you're struggling with forgiving, prayand ask God to help you, because
he'll move on your behalf. AskGod, tell him. Be real with
(23:22):
God. God already know everything,so we be. We don't have to
hide things from God. We don'thave to lie to God. We'd have
to go God half stepping. Healready knows. So just go to him
real and be real with him andsay, hey, Lord, you know
what I'm harboring in my heart, this bitterness, this unforgiveness. Help me,
Lord, help me cry out tothe Lord, tell him help you.
Hey, Regena, thank you somuch. Between then, I think
(23:44):
you've made every single show girl.I appreciate you. I appreciate you.
But tell the Lord, help me, help me forgive others, help me
to forgive myself. Do not getcaught up in that pattern, because you
know, when you when you're strugglingwith forgiving yourself for something, it's hard
for you to get out of that, to move past that, to move
forward in life. Right, you'realways holding on to that. Triggered by
(24:07):
that, we gotta let those thingsgo. Let those things go. God
has cast it into the sea andforgiveness, never to be remembered again.
You need to do the same thing, whatever you've done, cast it into
the sea. If somebody try tobring it up over you and hold it
over your head, you tell them, God already forgive me, forgiven me
for that, and me too,I've already forgiven myself for it. And
(24:29):
so you don't have to stay stuckthere. When we come to Christ with
a sense of your heart, hewill restore the years that the locals have
eaten up right, and so wecan lay down our life for Christ the
same way that he laid down hislife for us. Right, it's already
(24:49):
been modeled. The way we're supposedto live has already been modeled. Christ
had to carry his cross. Wehave to carry our cross. What is
our cross? Our cross are thosethings that we struggle with, those heavy
burdens. Right, you have tolay down your life. So it's easy
(25:11):
every day you get up to dowhat you want to do. But when
you lay down your life like Christ, like that, it's like you say,
I want to do this, Butbecause I'm walking in the spirit and
not the flesh, then I'm notgonna do those things. And you get
stronger, and you get stronger andyou get stronger in the Lord, and
it allows you to be able towalk in the spirit and not walk in
(25:33):
the flesh. All right, Solisten, I know that that was probably
y'all. I probably feel like thatwas overhaul on the lesson I forgive just
by I say, three weeks, you be talking about forgiveness for three weeks.
But it's so important, it's soimportant, and it's a must.
(25:53):
We said it last week. Forgivenessis necessary, and not just to forgive
others, but the forgiveness of yourself, right, And some of us probably
don't even know that we need toforgive ourselves for things. But if you
get us in your quiet time andreally think about anything that you're harboring,
any type of guilt or shame thatyou're feeling. If you feel if things
(26:18):
that you've done bring guilt or shameto you, you haven't forgiven yourself for
those things, right, So let'sthink about those things, even if you
need to write it out so thatyou can see it right and know,
like Okay, I need to forgivemyself for this. I need to forgive
myself for you know, whatever, for my divorce, for abusing my children,
(26:47):
for cheating the government on my taxes, whatever it is, whatever it
is, forgive yourself. Ask Godto forgive you, and forgive yourself so
that you can live in the fullnessthat God has for you. All right,
So listen, I'm gonna get readyto bring in my special guests on

(27:12):

It's uh, it's over there.Okay, Okay, you got that.
(30:55):
Okay, we're gonna get some comedytonight. We're gonna get We're gonna get
whatever you whatever you whatever you pullout, will come out. How about
that, whatever you pull out, whatever you pull out, we'll come at
sun Fans in the chat, y'allgive us some fire emoojis. If y'all
(31:18):
are Susan candloa, those people herethen grew up watching Susan Candlow because look,
they probably don't know me out ofcostume. Uh, because a lot
of them I learned. I dida show about two weeks ago at a
club, yes, thank you halloujah. And but it was a lot of
(31:40):
older ladies that were, you know, in the club. Well, it's
it's more of a dinner club asupper club. So it's more of a
supper club where they where they werethere mingling and and having dinner and stuff
like that and so and then theywere having you know, of course drinks
or whatever they call it spirits anduh. But after I finished, it
was so many other comedians to gobefore me, and they all was not
(32:02):
gospel at all. I mean likenone, not like no baby. They
did everything. They kissed and dideverything anyway. So they was talking.
So I was sitting there and I'llsay, and they made me the headliner.
So I'm sitting there for going,God, how am I supposed to
come behind all of this? Imean they did. If I tell you,
(32:23):
those girls did everything. It wasan all woman show. It was
a guy who who was hosting it. And I won't get nobody's names because
I don't about to go and tellnobody I said nothing because I know how
y'all do y'all did you know? Can't William that way? So anyway,
I ain't calling no names. Soanyway, I'm gonna call them a comedian
one and comedian two. Comedian onestarted it started the cussing gang. I
(32:45):
was like, oh my gosh. She went on and on and on in
the in the in the you know, of course, this is a secular
audience. So they was getting withher. And then the second one got
up there and she was even worse. But she was she had better comedy.
Can I say? She had beginning, middle and end. When you
do comedy, you have to havea beginning of middle and an end.
The other lady was just randomly talkingabout a thing, a lot of things
(33:06):
and just cussing. But the secondcomedian had had formulas and had predictability,
and then she had beginning, middleof the end. So her comedy was
even you know, much better. And she the last joke he had like
a pi yall pi yau. SoI'm sitting in the back at the bar.
Yes, I was sitting at thebar, and so I wasn't drinking.
(33:27):
While I was sitting back there. The spirit, you right, got
to just close to the spirits. So so it was a guy sitting at
the bar because that's where they hadus, uh sitting, you know.
For each one who go up,we had to go from from back there.
And so the guy, the guysaid, ooh, I should hope
you can follow her this this thisis how he said it. I said,
okay, well we'll see, andthen the uh the whole said gospel
(33:52):
comedian Sister catalog. So I goton stage, and as I was walking
up there, I was talking tothe Lord because I heard you speaking about
it. I was talking to theLord, I said, I said,
I am walking in your favor andin your grace, and forgive me for
anything I've done. That door causedme not to be affective to these people
who needs you and who need tohear your word. I say, now
(34:12):
you race everything that's happened before me, and only let them see your grace
and your goodness. And when Igot up there, I went to work
and I put on Erica Campbell.Uh I love God. Yeah, no,
no, no, no, no, not that one. Uh.
Blessed, it's a blessed, it'sa blessed song. Well, anyways,
(34:36):
I put on her song. Yeah, it's her new one, and and
I just sit there and I justlet it play. I just let it
play. Woke up this morning feelingkind of good. I forgot I forgot
the words to it. But anyway, when she when I when I let
her play for a little minute,I told the lady to cut it off
and I went to work. Baby, those people were laughing so hard that
(35:00):
I had to stop and allow themto laugh. And then after the show
they gave me a standing ovation.Wow, and this lady said, you
never cursed. Oh my god,you were so funny and you never cursed.
She said, I can't believe. She said, I almost peed my
pants. And then another lady cameup and said, we needed this.
(35:22):
I need gesus. I'm going tochurch Sundays in a club. And then
another lady came up to me said, I've been a fan of yours for
years. I was wondering, howwere you gonna come up behind all that?
She said, I drove all theway for about an hour and a
half to come see you here. And she said I missed the costume,
she said, but I didn't missit. And I told her I don't
bring sister Candlop into a club.I take Trena in there and get in
(35:45):
and get out of a candle cane. So that's how it went. Yes,
yes, yes, yes, wow. Okay, So I've never seen
you do coming outside of uh suster, Candla. I mean I've seen you
host. You're just naturally funny, thank you. So I'm not gonna say
i've never seen you do comedy. You you're funny all the time. But
(36:07):
I've never just seen you myself.Yeah. Yeah, it's basically never.
Let me tell you something. Sowhen I was when I first moved to
California, I was telling someone elseI didn't know my voice. I only
knew Kanlo's voice, and I knewmy manager, my record label, my
(36:28):
my, you know, my team. I had all that back in the
you know, early two thousands andlate nineteen ninety nine two thousands, so
I had the whole shebang bang Iwas. I was clamming that, you
know, that gospel ladder. Iwas climbing that ladder of success, and
I knew everybody else's voice but myown. And I'm a Capricorn, and
Capricorns are more laid back. We'rebusiness minded, but we're more laid back.
(36:52):
Whatever you want, I'm good.Whatever you want to do, I
don't care, you know, justas long as I'm working, I don't
I don't have a problem with it. And so when I decided to go
to California, I said, Iwas trying to find my voice and I
didn't know what my voice was.I can only hear when I got on
stage, I out here was Hey, babies, God, bless your heart,
your toes and all that gross inbetween. That's all I knew.
I knew the catalog. And whenI when I went to California, I
(37:15):
met this white guy and he hewas a more of a coach, kind
of a person, kind of likeyou, motivational speaker, okay, and
so, but he did comedy aswell. And so he asked, anybody
have any questions? And I said, I have a question. How do
I find my voice? He said, I'll talk to you after the show,
(37:35):
after the session. So he dida one on one with me.
He said, you must do acharacter, and I said, yes,
I do. He said I had. I had a conversation with Steve Urkele,
the one to played Steve. Steve, he said, Julia White,
he said, and he said thesame thing. He said, he didn't
know his voice. He said, but this is what you're gonna have to
do. You're gonna have to getit, get by yourself and separate yourself
(38:00):
this character. He said, you'regonna have to start talking more. I
may have the more of opinion. You have to start being more aggressive.
You're start doing all this. AndI tried to start doing comedy clubs,
and my mouth got dry as cotton. I was so scared. I'm serious,
because I could have behind the phoneif the joke didn't work out,
I could shake my butt. Ifthe joke didn't work out, I could
(38:21):
just start talking and laughing real loudand hard. But as Trina, I
had nothing hip behind It was eitherbe fun they or go home. You
You saw my post, and soI started working on me, start working
on being more aggressive, more,uh, speaking my mind more. Sometimes
I still fall back because like ifI'm in upsetting with you and some more
people, I'll still fall back behindyou because I have like a against an
(38:45):
introvert a little bit, just alittle bit as Trina, but it's kind
of I'm way out there. Sonow I started learning how to get on
stage and just how to attack itas as Candilo would, but it's Trina.
And so now I've been doing itfor like about five years as Trina
(39:05):
as well just and I call myselfjust Trina, just traina just Trina,
and people have been loving it andthey were like, I didn't miss the
costu. You still had me laughing. And so now I've joined a group
of guys and I'm the only girlon the on the tour and it's called
God Bless your Heart Ministry Tour, and we are doing a lot of the
improvs and a lot of the theclub kind of settings, but we're still
(39:30):
doing church and I'm getting on thereand I'm killing it just like if I
was Sister Cantilo, And that's howit is. So with that tour,
you're on this tour, you're justTrina. I'm just Trina, just traina
and I'm loving it. I'm lovingit because now I'm sixty two now and
that costant sixty yes, and Ilove till I can't believe that you love
(39:59):
killing people. I do. I'mproud. I'm proud. Listen. That
means I got forty forty more thirtyeight more years or forty more years to
be one hundred to get it right. So but that your age once you
get nine, I don't know.I figured that. Yeah, at least
ninety nine, like carelping that. But yeah, I took and even taking
(40:24):
the fat suit part out and Istarted out with the whole joke. Up
I've lost weight, so I amgradually coming out of that character costume wise
and just putting on the half theglasses in the dress. So now when
you tell the joke about getting offthe shower and a gush of water just
came. So what I do isI refer back this comedy is comedy.
(40:46):
Comedist comes say, Now, whenI was fat, this is what happened
to me. You know this isBut the way I tell it is,
I had to lose weight because ofthis. Because what happened. I said,
I had to lose weight because Ihad gotten so big. I went
to lead on Jesus and he fail. So so you know I had to
lose some weight. I couldn't evensee my feet. No, I'm more
they take my shoes and throw mythrot run and just jump in a bight
(41:07):
out. Now I can literally runand jump. So I saw my whole
set now with just losing the losingweight part, yes, and getting healthy
because the younger people, the youngergenerations are more geared to to uh like
(41:27):
you, getting getting healthy, eatinghealthy, being healthy, and so being
up there just being you know, being overweight and then talking about that uh
that portion. Sometimes they can relate, but sometimes they can't because that's not
there. And I could do itwith the older crowd, but with the
younger crowd, you gotta be onthe on they you know the level.
(41:49):
Yeah, you gotta get with themif you won't, if you don't,
if you're gonna do some commony tothem, you gotta be where they're at.
And so that's why, that's whyI started doing like that. And
then I even up my game withmy learning computers and phones and stuff like
that. So when I add mystuff in, now I can add you
know, a Facebook and Twitter andall that right there into my comedy.
So I am, you know,on the same level with you. You
(42:13):
know, Okay, So you're havingso you're always having to keep up with
how the times are changing and howit's moving, and y'all change it too
fast for me. Listen, listenand doing comedy on zoom that that was
crazy for me. When COVID hitwhat happened, they were doing comedy on
(42:34):
zoom on zoom, they were zoomingus in and so we had to stat
and so they had us literally thestand and have a setting in the background.
I was trying to set the backgroundfor you, but I was trying
to put on so anyway, wehad to do it like that. And
then I had a computer, butI don't have it anymore, so I
(42:55):
do everything by my phone because myphone is my computer and my uh WiFi
was spotty and I was and thejoke wouldn't go over it. I was
like, oh my god, Iwas freaking out. So I had to
learn a lot. I had tolearn fast. I was running fast trying
to learn computer and in this worldthis so yeah, right, and can
(43:17):
you just imagine where it's gonna bein the next twenty five years. Oh
my gosh, Oh my gosh,we're gonna You're just gonna be blinking and
see me. This is got yourmom why like, talk to the hand,
talk to then literally and talk tothe literally hand from now this is
(43:37):
our device device. Listen, weain't gonna be able to high five no
more because we do. We're gonnaturn off our phones, your neighbor and
hot never mind, you can't dothat no more. Past we have freya
(44:01):
the information behind right right right right, But COVID took a lot of that
away anyway, tells me high fivethat much no more anymore? Right nearbody,
So if we're still in the socialdistance, yes, yes, yes,
I know, shake my hand.I did not shake hands like now
you that fist, that fist elbowboom? What's if I don't know you.
(44:27):
I don't really shake a lot ofguy's hands exactly. You want to
shake itter. All the little boyswant to come in and shake my hand.
It's just feeling like it's suspiciously.I know how you go to the
bath on first ball number D andsee I know you didn't watch that hand
(44:51):
come in hand. So what Ido is I mix him up. I
shake with my left hand. Theygo, then I don't want to shake
you shake you? So you wantthem? What advice could you would you
(45:13):
give someone who's listening, Because wewant to make sure we're inspiring the people.
You know, you have been inthis uh entertainment, gospel entertainment industry
for over thirty years. You're stillrelevant. You know it sounds crazy me
to say, but I've been watchingyou since I was a little girl.
You know, here I am grown, grown girl, little girl half my
(45:38):
classmate, got grandkids, right,So what advice could you give? What?
What do you believe? Other thanGod? We know God's grace of
course, but what do you thinkhas been could you attribute to your longevity?
Well, if I tell you,if I tell you that, I
(46:00):
have to take it back a littlebit, is that okay? Okay,
So when it's all in your beliefsystem, when I was in my early
twenties, like you, uh,thirties, twenties and thirties, I oh,
I'm sorry, baby, you stilllike you're fifteen sixteen years old.
(46:23):
Oh. Anyway, when I wasin my early twenties and stuff, I
had an outward faith. I alwayscall it my outward faith, because everybody
hels the inward faith, but nobodyreally portrays the outward faith. And my
outward faith was that I believe Godwas going to do something great in my
life. And everybody's like, oh, Perna, you're so cute though my
(46:45):
God, yeah la la lah.So anyway, so I used to write
stuff down. He said, writethe vision, make it plain, And
I write down my vision. Thisis what I want to do. I
want to be I want to bea stand up comedian, I want to
be you know, blah blah blah. This is what I'm to do it
full time. And I would putit on my little tag book because I
was a tempt and everywhere I go, everybody wanted me to stay because I
(47:06):
could keep them laughing. And yeah, so they wanted to hire me.
And I told him, if youhire me, this is as high as
I can go because you put aglass ceiling on me. But I know
I have further to go. Andthey would go, oh, she's so
cute. So anyway, and plusI was making more money as attempt than
I would when you hire me,you may give me insurance or whatever.
Then it takes away from my money. So I had figured out. I
(47:28):
told you I'm a businesswoman. Soanyway, so I started doing you know,
scalibl blah blah blah. And thenthere was a point in my time.
I thought, I turned my watchoff, and it was a point
in my time where uh, therewe go, it's off. Now Dantasia
was on the American Idol. Youmay been too young to okay, yeah,
(47:51):
And so I told God, Isaid, God, my our faith
is that when Fantasia wins the AmericanIdol. I never said, ill,
when she wins the American Because myhair used to be real long, like
way down here, I could touchyou touch into my back. I said,
I'm gonna cut my hair as myour faith that I trust and believe
that you're gonna take me to hireheights in deep, deeper debts. So
(48:12):
long story short, she knows shewon. The next day, which was
that was on a Saturday. Ithink it was a Friday or Saturday,
whatever it was. The next day, I went to the beauty shop and
I told my mom. My momwas the beautician to cut my hair.
She said, I'm cut your hair. Train I can't cut your hair.
I said, I'm gonna cut itoff. She said I won't. So
I went to the next beautician thatwas in the shop. I said,
(48:34):
I want you to cut my hair, and she said, TRAINING know why
you want to cut your hair.I said, because I Fantasia won the
American Idol and this is my ourfaith to God that I believe he's gonna
take me to the heights of deaththat he takes her. So she said
okay. So she took it allup, gave me the big chop,
cut it and everything like that. And the day that I got my hair
(48:54):
cut was the day that my beliefsystem really kicked in and I started flying
and going. I went to London, I went to Japan, I went
to uh I was all of mymy my DVD was just Go Can Go
Call Go, just just exploded. It just was everywhere. People were calling
(49:15):
me with the Franklin called me,Stiffney Mills called me. It was just
people of Bryce and people was justcalling me from nowhere. It was like
it was like a whirlwind, kindof crazy, just out of this world.
And from that one little act offaith, the must to see faith,
and I was like why, Godwas just blowing my mind. So
(49:39):
I had went a long time onthis, on this wide. But you
know there's valleys, there's peaks andvalleys. So there was a valley that
came in my life, and sothings started slowing down and calming down and
everything like that. And so Iwas on the plane and I took my
cover. At the time they usedto give you covers, they'll give them
(49:59):
to you. And I put itover my head and I began to cry
and I told God, I said, God, I said, I don't
know what you're doing and what's goingon, I said, but I'm still
believing you, I said. Andeverybody's like, youre gonna let your hair
go back. I know I'm notletting my hair go back. It's like
Samson had hair to make him strong. I cut mines so it would make
me that way. So he said. So I got home to my house
(50:22):
and my mom was cooking, andmy brothers and sisters over at the house.
So I will sending them and Ihave no more shows on the book.
Remember this is this is February.Okay, no shows on the books
for the rest of the year inFabruary. In February, and I sat
in my seat. My mom said, what's wrong. I said nothing.
I'm just you know, smiling. She said something's wrong. I said nothing,
(50:44):
And so I when you cry,it makes you sleepy. So I
fell asleep. Now this is allin the same day, okay. And
when I'm sending in my I'm sendingin my chair. My sister came.
She said, training treated your phone'sranking. It's debby made. I said,
dabb be may she calls that meanswork. So I got on the
phone. She said, hey,Trina. She said, I'm out here
(51:06):
in California and this guy he wantsto uh he needs a comedia and uh
he needs a good comedian. Andonly people I person I could think about
it was you, And I said, okay. He said he's doing a
uh, he's doing a play andhe wants you to be in it.
And I said, okay, hesaid, but the thing is gonna travel
for a long time. I said, okay. So she put him on
the phone and he told me allthese people that there was gonna be in
this play. Then he did,he even phased me. I was like,
(51:30):
okay, okay. So she said, I'm gonna send you the script.
I want you to read over it. And he said, and if
this girl tonight don't work out,I'm gonna call you. And I said,
okay, so back up just alittle bit. I have been telling
my manager. I said, I'vebeen having these dreams where I am with
a bunch of famous people and we'reriding the bus. He said it was
(51:53):
a dream cause famous people don't ridebus. Okay, okay, okay,
okay. So and it was likeevery other night, I was dreaming the
same dream. And I was like, here's the dreamers again. And I'm
on this bus and I'm looking outthe window and I'm looking at all these
tall buildings and I said, andI'm on the bus with famous people.
(52:15):
Okay. So then the guy calledme, Uh that was Saturday. He
said, I'll call you Sunday nightwith the airline ticket. If we need
you. He said, just stay, stay ready. So I told my
mom about it and everything. Shesaid, go pack your bags. I
said, pack my bag. Shesaid, pack them get ready because he's
gonna call you. I said okay. So I wanted and I packed my
(52:36):
bags and everything, and I needI just needed enough for that week.
Yeah, that week. She saidno, because he said, just pack
it for a couple of days andthen if we need you, then you
can go back home. My mamasaid, pack the ball, packed,
packed, packed the packed the leadand I packed my bags to leave and
I had one small carry on andI had the rest of my bags.
(52:58):
So he called that that Saturday. At Sunday night, he said, I
need to fire you out to California. So what is her name? Love
and a comedy that you know?Anyway, she picked me up at airport
and I said, hey, Iknow you're a comedian. She said yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah, shesaid. She told me. She
said I can't, I can't dothe show. So I got something else.
(53:21):
I almost call the name. Igotta go and do something else.
So I said, okay. SoI got to the place not looking at
nobody. Don't just blinders on.That's how I am. Blinders on.
So he's I'm still looking at myscript. She said, look at least
no, at least the first partof the script by the time you get
there, so that you can readread with the rest of the people.
I said, okay, I gotyou. So I'm a very fast learner,
(53:43):
you know, and I have ampidexturesand dyslexics, so I memorize pages.
I don't memorize the words. Iknow where the words are on the
page, so I see them inmy mind. So I'm taking snapshots of
the pages. I know where everythingis. So I sit down. So
he said, so he said, hey, you're I'm the Rius Johnson.
I said, Hi, nice tomeet you. He said, okay,
we need to go up there andsit down beside uh uh Maya Maya Camel.
(54:07):
And I said, okay, Monicacam who, I said, okay,
I know who nobody is. Sitdown. So I'm I'm reading my
part. And then she reads herpart and I say something. She starts
laughing, and I go, Iknow that laugh And I looked Monica cal
So she's from the Players Club. From the Players Club, I was like,
oh my god, and club shewas, uh. And she's also
(54:32):
she also played in uh, thebride with the march chestnut. Yeah,
okay, okay, yeah yeah, and I'm looking at her, going,
oh my god. So I'm startreading again. I heard this laughter in
the back. I look up.It's Leon Leon mm hm. So I'm
like, okay. Then I lookover here there's mel Jackson. Wow.
(54:58):
So when I look again, thenthe Lavelle Crawford is over here. And
then you want a man. AndI was like, what the entire world
is happening to me right now?And I made them because I wasn't I
wasn't trying to impress. I wastrying to just do what I did and
killed the sea and he said,he said stop. He said, I
(55:22):
was beginning to wonder was my stuff? And he did say stuff wasn't funny,
he said, and this girl cominghere in one day and killed this
entire script. He said, thisis what I'm talking about. And he
said you're hired. So he saidgo home. You can go home and
get your bag. I said,I already got my bags. You know
(55:44):
what I mean. I already knew. So I'm making I made a long
story long. So anyway, sowe in California. We in California.
So the way they traveled is thatwe go to different cities and then they
put us on a bus to takeget to the other cities. Inside they
go flat to the state and thenwe go to the other cities in a
(56:06):
bus. Call my manager, Isaid, guess where I am? He
said, what I said, I'mon the bus. We're famous fam He
hung over my face that that wasthat? So wow. Keeping yourself relevant,
keeping yourself uh uh uh, grootedand grounded in what you believe and
(56:29):
the things God don't speak. Everybodythink God gonna speak out loud. He'
gonna put a big old sign up. He's gonna do this right here.
He speaks. He speaks in astill quiet voice, and he tells you
things, and you either you believeit or you don't. It's a must
to see you believe it or youdon't. And so if you want to
be longevity at anything, you wantto keep you gotta stay of course,
stay relevant, and you've got tobelieve. You've got to know that you
(56:52):
know. And there's gonna be timeslike right now, there is a uh,
it's always a lull right after theFebruary, and it so happens.
This is it March so I hada couple of shows and then April nothing,
and then May takes off. Andit's always like this. So you
have You're gonna have your valleys, and you're gonna have your low moments.
(57:15):
But you always know when you whenit's quiet, God is working. God
is in the control of what's goingon, and I'll work for him.
So I have to sit back.Sometime I have to remind myself. Sometime
I still have to remind me too. She says. You always get like
this at this time. She says, you always know that he's gonna work
it out, don't I said,I know, but I have an anxiousness
(57:37):
about me, and I know theBible said be anxious for nothing. But
I said, God, you mademe, and you made my mind and
my body and my spirit like this. You made me like this, so
so forgive me if I am anxious, but you made me this way,
and I'm anxious to see what you'regonna do next. So I started putting
that at the end. So that'show you just keep keep going. Don't
(57:59):
stop. Uh. There was asong back in the eighties or the nineties
that says, don't stop getting getit. I know that not get get
it. Don't stop getting get it. I know that doesn't go when Christian,
but that's what I say to everybody. Don't stop go get it,
go get it. And every timeyou tell me you're doing something, I'm
(58:20):
like, go get them, baby, go get them. Just roll it
over, just roll it over. And always create, always create. Don't
stop creating. If you're if you'rea comedian, don't stop writing, even
though you got old jokes that areproven. I got so many new jokes
that I'm afraid to use because Ihaven't had the opportunities yet. So I
got them in my in my inmy little bag, so I pull them
(58:43):
out every now and then, like, oh that that would work, that'll
stick, that makes stick. I'mgonna put that back in there. I'm
gonna keep that to the side. And there everyone said, while I throw
a new joke out there, okay, don't work. I say, okay,
that would need to work. Let'sput that so, but always create,
always write. Okay as an artist, if you're an artist, if
you're a pastor, if you're apreacher, if you're a Sunday school teacher,
(59:06):
always write it and always be created, because like you said, the
world is changing in twenty twenty fiveand six and seven, eight, nine,
ten, When we get to thirty, you know, tell her what
we're going to be doing. Soyou always have to and then take take
proven stuff and rebuild it, renewit. You got, you got,
you got raps, and I knowthat you they they're dated, or take
(59:30):
the date off of them and updatethem right and then put them back together
and it'll be like a brand newand put a new melody under it and
a new spin on it, andput a little hook on it right there,
and it's a whole new song.I actually just did that. I
just took I wrote over ten yearsago, and I put some new beats
to them, and like you saidit, it brings it brand it's brand
(59:52):
new, brand new. I'll tellyou I have updated them ugly, the
ugly between so much. I haveupdated them. You got two TV snapping
holes and donuts snapping holes and donuts, baby. I did that one the
other day and I hadn't did thesnapping holes of donuts. It's so long.
I said, I wonder, welldo that still work? And I
did it and and they was theywas on the floor. So that's what
(01:00:14):
I'm saying wrap them and fall andsendim is left though, Yeah, talking
about what's a catch? You gota So now they're asking for skittles?
What what would you say? Isyour your your favorite joke? Oh?
My favorite? I love that's theone. I love the Ugly Twins.
(01:00:36):
I love the ugly Twins. It'smy favorite joke. And then I have
one that I do about the fortyfive year old man still staying home with
his mom. So I like thatjoke too because it gets a big pile,
it gets a big laughter, andI got quite I got quite a
few of them that I'm I'm like, you know, I love more than
(01:00:58):
others. Yeah, partial to wouldlove more than others. But but those
are the three that that's my topfavorite. Uh. Now, my my
mom's favorite is uncle Ed when Ido the drunk Man, the drunk uncle
Ed, it's my mom's favorite.I think my favorite. I used to
(01:01:19):
really love the by the night lightand in the Daylight. You know where
you talked about the man, uhAnd I guess because the visual of it
was so used to me when yousaid how you used to he used to
be dragon and le I kind ofgonna pull him back out to I need
(01:01:50):
to pull him out to it's it'sso many, thank you, it's so
many. I am. It hasbeen a joy. This is my season
finale. So this is the lastone episode in season one and go.
So I do appreciate you coming onhere and just give us some words of
(01:02:15):
inspiration to the people who are tunedin. Who as uh. That's that's
what it's about. To encourage andto inspire. My my my joy is
teaching young people how to live thislife as an artist because a lot of
them don't understand that your your theboboms of your gift will make room for
(01:02:38):
you. And some of them don'tunderstand that as It'll take that literally.
When I tell you your gift willmake room for you, you're thinking room
inside of a hallway or room insideof a building. But room for you
means that people who were supposed tobe in line sometimes they have to be
(01:03:04):
dismissed so you can come forward. And so you have to know that if
you have this gift, you gottahone in on it. You gotta make
sure that you I don't care whetherthey don't have to be doing comedy,
singing, writing, dancing, rapping, whatever, your gift or whatever your
God's given gift is. You gotto know that you got that gift is
gonna make room I and it willset you before kings and queens. And
(01:03:29):
let me be a witness. Ihave said, who else is a queen
besides Ariita Franklin. Okay, I'vebeen before kings and queen's I before royalty,
royalty in the past, the shirtyseason, she's royalty in gospel.
I have her home phone number.I can't. I don't call her.
(01:03:51):
I'm scared. And she tells meI'm her favorite comedian and she loves me,
and she always she calls me.Can't Elope, I can't Elope.
So I'm saying, that's making roomfor you. And this is what she
told me on our last conversation, which was October of last year. She
(01:04:15):
said, they're getting ready to makea remake of her life, a movie
like they did with the Clark sisters. And if she agrees with this,
which is with Queen Latifa is askingto do this, but they want her
to do a tell all and shedon't know she's going to do that part
or not. So if she doesthis, she says, can't little bringing
you with me, she said, because I have not seen a director like
(01:04:38):
you in in any movies and anyshows. She said. You are an
amazing director, she said, andyou make me understand where other directors don't.
And I forgot to tell y'all youknow how direct plays and shows and
movies and stuff too. Keep keepcreating, keep expanding, find all your
(01:05:00):
because you never know what you're what'sgonna strike. Go. I struck,
I hit, I hit oil withCanilo. But what else am I going
to strike? Because Kindo was it'snothing else I can really do for her.
She's out there, now what elsecan I do? And so I'm
I'm directing, I'm producing, I'mI'm I directed the play Spreader Ross for
(01:05:25):
the Child. And we've had DorendaClark Cole, We've had Leedriar Johnson in
it. We've had Pastor Shirley Caesar. We've had the girl off of Sunday's
Best. I can't think of hername, but anyway, Carolyn Traylor.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, So we've had we've had
the best of the best in thisplay. And Drenda said the same thing.
(01:05:46):
She said, I've never seen afemale a female director. She said,
never been under a director that's afemale, she said. And you
were also, she said, tryingto do people know you do this.
I said, if if you don'thave a public and your team and stuff
like that, I don't have thatanymore. So I do what I do.
And God said, he's gonna bringall that back, He's gonna read,
(01:06:06):
he's gonna re redo it all andbring it all back. And that
same thing for you, baby, that's the same thing for you. That's
right. And all you out therethat's listening, you all are amazing.
A lot of people say I'm greatin my own mind, but you're not
great in your own mind. Youare great and you have a great mind.
Amen. Yes, man, youhave a great mind. And that's
(01:06:28):
what our scripture was today, wasn'tit. He will repay you for the
years that the local locals. Yes, I love that scripture. I love
it. I love it. Thewords it located. This is Joel over
in Joel over job job open jobs, not job, not Joe, but
Joel Joel. Oh Joel Okay, you said, Joe Okay, all right?
(01:06:51):
Heah over Joe l Joel Joel Chaptertwo, verse twenty five. Yes,
yes, he's gonna he's gonna repayit, and and a lot of
a lot of times people often askme and and I I know you even
asked this question, but how doI feel about, you know, the
(01:07:13):
Medea character versus the Sister Camilo character. And when you said that he's gonna
repay there there was there was atime in space where I met him Steve.
I'm not Steve Ry, but Imet Steve of course, but Tyler
Perry, and when he wasn't doingthe Medea role, and he asked me
(01:07:38):
to be a part of his camp, and I said yes. But we
went our separate ways. I wentto UH the Tour of Life with Kirk,
Frankly, Yolanda and Fred, andhe went and did Woman dur Eludes
with UH Bishop TD Jakes, Andso we kind of went our separate ways,
but we kept in touch and hewas still writing. He was still
writing, and he was writing mycharacter in there. And so by the
(01:07:59):
us being out on the road anddoing different things, when we came back
together, he had created the characterMadia and so on the same shelf sitting
beside him was Sister Canilo and madeaand yes they looked alike and they everything,
But in my mind, in mymind's eye, he had taken my
character. But and every why didyou do because why are you to do
(01:08:24):
this? Right here? My thoughtwas, he's reaching people that I will
never probably reach, and he wouldprobably be the only God that somebody sees.
And if I at the food andgoing court suing my brother, what
does that say about me? AndI'm taking the light that he's presenting to
(01:08:48):
others? Now you know, thingsare you know, progressed, and he's
made of millions and billions of dollarsoff of it, which is which is
fine, he's but that was hisgift to the world. And I may
have never reached that apex and soand then the world, the world would
be without a madea because I wouldhave cut it off at the at the
(01:09:12):
root. And I'm kind of I'mkind of glad that I sat back and
allowed him to grow and to dowhat he did because now we have opportunities
to go into different venues and andand still be Christian and still do Christian
movies because he set the president forit. Had I stopped him, and
I've been greedy and you know mycharacter you get, but but God allowed
(01:09:38):
it and so now it's time tobe repaid for me being silent and me
being quiet about it and not goingafter him and going doing this because I
in my mind I wanted to.In my mind, I thought about it,
you know. And it was along time. I couldn't look at
it. I couldn't see the ofhis movies. I couldn't do I couldn't
do anything. It's stunned my growth. It was a whole year. You
(01:10:01):
want, baby, but I know. But I told God, I said,
God, I have to forgive thisman. This is years ago,
this is I'm like, I'm soover and if you see it in my
eyes, I'm so over. Butbut but I had to forgive him.
(01:10:23):
And when I did, when Iforgave him, then God started the ball
and rolling again for me. Sometimeswe had that I call it the little
Richard Centrome where everybody stole I didit first. I did it first,
you know, and he did hedid, but he did. Some people
(01:10:43):
can take what you do and andand make it better. Then you think
that that's where you could have wonit. But you may have not made
it that bad that I may nothave put that little spice and stuff like
that, like you hear a noteor a rap, and you make that
wrap better than that person right here. They looking at you like, oh
I can do that, I cando that. No, you you're not
(01:11:05):
a lyric. You you can't eventouch my my my lyrics. So that's
the way I have to explain topeople. When you was talking about forgiveness,
that's that was a big forgiveness,a public forgiveness I had to do.
And I get reminded of it.So everywhere I go, what do
(01:11:27):
you think about this? What doyou think about that? And and uh,
you know, and you know theyhave the devil and the angel sitting
on when when that uh cat Williamand all that stuff came out, you
should do that? I was like, oh no, oh no, oh
no, get off my should angel? Get off? Sha put them under
(01:11:49):
your feet. So, but Iappreciate your openness and your willingness to teach
the young people and the people thatare even the older people out there,
how to forgive and how to letthings go because it's hard. It's hard,
it is, it is, butit's vital. Yeah, it's necessary.
(01:12:13):
Yeah, And so I just feellike the sooner that we can really
start coming to terms with that, you know what I mean, just realizing,
like because I think so many peopleignore it, you know, walk
around with this illness in your bodyyou don't even know why, and it's
because we're harboring unforgiveness, you know, you know what I mean, just
the weightiness of it. And soI just wanted people to kind of start
(01:12:36):
looking and thinking about it because asblack people, you know, sometimes we
don't do those therapeutic things where wewrite down and really look at ourselves.
You know. Even on my podcast, I've challenged people that are looking just
look at yourself in the mirror fora long time. Just really look at
yourself, you know, don't don'tbe looking at you all. Look look
at you. You know, lookwithin. Look you can see yourself really
(01:13:00):
good. Yeah, And we youknow, search our own hearts and look
within, even like I was talkingabout those little foxes, you know,
like we can think about all thebig things, like I know, oh
yeah, I used to be fourun cade and I used to be cousin
and do but you know you gotto, oh I'm good. I ain't
doing all things. But okay,am I am my back biting right,
(01:13:21):
you know, and I am Italking about somebody behind their back and my
gospel, right you know, myjealous Yeah, you know, am I
envy and something covet in with somebodyelse or how their whatever. You know,
it's so many things that we don'tthink about it. You have to
really just check yourself and be like, oh, you know, and some
day they ain't really lying up.That's so true. Yeah, yeah,
(01:13:45):
true. A lot of us arepetty. And in the world. In
my my mom's group I called herher community, which is her church,
they always talk about being petty.A lot of us are petty. Uh.
And we we feel like we arewe are entitled, and this this
day and time is so much selfentitlement. I should Why ain't you I
(01:14:11):
could? I want to uh,And and people don't know that. I
also work like a little small sidelinejob and I do it after school feeding
for kids. And so I wasat a school to day monitoring the kids
and monitoring the people that's feeding thislittle guy. And this little boy came
up and I want some chocolate mill. Why can't I? I said,
that's where the self entitlement comes.Why can't I? Using the word I,
(01:14:33):
he used the word I. Atleast fifteen times while I was there.
While I was there, fifteen times, I said, well, he
said, that's good. I'll bethinking I'm doing good sometimes. That's one
of them young that's one of thereal young saints. Yes, yes,
let's but at least you be thinkingyou're doing good, because some people ain't.
(01:14:53):
Some of your people ain't not eventrying to do good, ain't thinking
about doing good, and it ain'ttheir mind. So at least you're thinking
you do it right, right, right, right? But so man thinking
so is hey, come on herewith this word. You know, I
know the word. I just don'tknow. I can't remember where I found
it at, but I but youknow, but I know it. I
(01:15:14):
know what I've been there. Imean, I have read the Bible twice
so cover the cover. And Ihave, like I tell you, I
have dyslexia and ampidexious at the sametime, so I have like a photographic
memory. So you just it's afile in my head and then pop up.
But if you think you're doing goodsometimes that then then you are doing
good most of the time. Becausehey, all of sin and follow the
(01:15:34):
sharltt the glory of God, sowe all have to you know, ask
for forgiveness of of I said. And in the morning that thinks they're doing
the most and think they're really holy, believe it, they're not going to
have it. God said here, you ain't even telling his like he ain't.
Won't be bothered with you. Youknow why, because you're gonna be
a little more like Saytan, becausehe thought it is the best kick you
(01:15:55):
out. So you looks. Iask somebody like you up here, and
I didn't like getting my kick themout. So if you're doing good sometimes,
then then I'll applaud you because thereare so many people that are striving
to do better. And I waslistening to a pastor that I don't even
know how much time we got, just talking like we're gonna be here all
(01:16:15):
night. I was listening to thispastor and he was talking about how drunks
and prostitutes and people that dance onpoles and stuff like that will come to
church. And when they get thechurch, people give a fifty five thousand
laws of what they got to do. Now, let them get that first,
and then that God change them.Don't be trying to change them all
the one. Oh, don't comeback here with that dress on. Let
(01:16:38):
them because if you start picking atthem petty with love and kindness, have
I drawn the preach. I'm gonnasay you were offering. I got a
quarter in my pocket, A quarter. I don't think you're a la cord.
(01:17:00):
I don't think you can't when Isee you. When I see you,
you can't send me nothing to listen. I see your big coin take
coin now, So it's just abig coin. It's a quarter. It's
not a really big coin. It'sjust the biggest coin we have. It's
(01:17:20):
a quarter. Oh, a bigcoin. Yeah, same same thing.
No, it's not to old peoplethat you got me. Gave me a
big coin, big coin. Shegave me a big coin, a big
coin, a quarter. But anyway, Yeah, but long as you think
(01:17:42):
that to that baby, long asyou think you're doing good sometimes, then
that's that's all God really requires ofyou, is to do your best.
It's not required for you to beover zelious, overstrighteous, over thinking things,
because when you overthink it, thenhe says, uh, he said
rightly to buy the word of God. And what you're thinking, he's not
(01:18:03):
even thinking that. M hm.And I really want to go back and
get the old saints that Uh,that oversold God to me. They oversold
him and didn't live with themselves.I think the main thing as long as
we were you remain humble in knowingthat without God we're nothing, you know
(01:18:27):
what I mean. He's our strengthwhere we're he is strong. You know,
Paul was asking for him to takethat throwing out of his side and
he didn't, you know, andso because yeah, right, so as
long as we remember that, don'twe don't. I just think it's it's
scary. Don't get caught up inthe self righteousness, you know what I
(01:18:50):
mean. So it is definitely likeyou said, as a man thinks,
so is here. So it isgood to think you're doing good and we
should be striving because we don't wantto be practicing seeing and you know,
we say God, so we don'twant to practice sining. Not anymore.
I'm just kiddore with a displayer onthere, not anymore because we all have
(01:19:12):
seen. But you know we're notliving and seeing, but all have seen,
right right listen, as uh,what's the day he said? We
fall down but we get up?Okay, doncler that's right. We fall
down, but we get up.And the reason we have to keep getting
(01:19:33):
back up. Is because we keepfalling. And he said, we die,
we die daily. We deal withthat saying daily we have died daily.
We got to bury it daily andwe have to give seventy times seven.
So you know, I appreciate you. I applaud you for even having
this podcast. I pray God's blessingsup on you, little girl. I
pray that he he does over andabove you can ask. I think he
(01:19:57):
he pulls you out of the darkdarkness of of your thinking that you're not
reaching the masses. Sometimes the oneis the one that he's talking about.
It's the one. It's not themasses, because sometimes when you reach the
masses, then they put you ina different light, in a pedestal and
then and then you can't come downright here. If you reach that one,
(01:20:19):
you could do a one on one, he said, if you could
just bring one to me, Idon't I don't need all of them.
Amen. That's what he did. That's what he's said. He said,
is there one is there one inthe city that that can that can you
know, redeem man back to God. So if you can find that one,
and I think you're doing that, than you so encouraging, Well,
(01:20:41):
do you want to pray us out? You want me to sure? What
else? Who I pray? Thenyou pray? Okay, okay? By
your eyes clo, huh, youjust gonna pray? Ain't gonna pray?
You pray? I love you littlegirlsbody, you're right? What is it
bout your behead? By your behead? By close your head? Okay.
(01:21:05):
So we thank you right now,We thank you for lyric. God,
we just stop right here and justbless her, Bless her ministry, Bless
what she does, bless everything we'regonna feature trige. Lord, you said
you will budge the mouses up,and you would cause men to give them
too her bussom. And now Godcalls men to give unto her. Give
then to her ministry, her making, whatever it is that she's going to
(01:21:25):
do. Lord, he wants youto bless her and to protect her.
Protect her in those schools. God, put a heterotection around her. Put
angels in every door that she walksthrough, the put guarding angels and put
fighting angels. God that they fightand they go before her. Godlud protect
her in the classroom, protect herwhile she's there from all her home and
danger. And even diseases. God, we asked her to keep her immune
(01:21:47):
system up that nothing can bring herdown. And God, even if she
goes and ministers to young people andto old people as well. God,
you said that you would cause her. You would cause her to go before
kings and queens. God, andlet her ministry just grow. And even
this podcast. God, whoever she'sreaching today and tomorrow in her next season.
(01:22:08):
God, you say, her nextseason shall be greater, because the
formers shall be greater than the latter. God, let it be great.
God, and the ones that arelistening. God, we asked that you
go into the homes, and weask you to bless them God and carriage
them. God, and Lord's aterritory. Let everything that they touch just
grow, whatever it is. Growtheir businesses, grow their CEOs, make
them, make them entrepreneurs. God, Lord, give them great ideas,
(01:22:31):
great anainting to do things that theynever thought about, that no one else
knows about. God, you said, there's nothing new up under the sun,
but there are some things that wehaven't seen. There's nothing new to
you, but there's things that arenew to us. God, give us
new and fresh ideas, fresh anointed, fresh oil, let it just drip
on us. God, and Lord, even as we go and as we
(01:22:51):
sleep tonight, God give us greatsleep and great slumber. God give us
dreams. You said young man shoulddream dreams and old man should see visions.
God, let us see the vision. Let her see vision in everything
she does. Lord, and lether be able to write it down and
to make it play. God.And I thank you for Lyric and her
(01:23:12):
family and her mother. God,wherever her mother is right now, we
ask him that you bless her andbless her for having Lyrics, because if
it wasn't for her, there wouldbe no Lyric in this world. And
we'll appreciate you of anointing her andmaking her the woman of God that she
is. Who knew that you wouldtake somebody like her and make somebody like
this? Who knew you would takesomebody like me and make somebody like this?
(01:23:33):
Who knew you would take somebody likethat baby that just text and make
somebody like her? God, weknew that you was gonna do it,
and you knew it was going tobe happening all the time. Now,
bless each and every one of us, and God, let us all win
the lottery. Amens, amen,Then we're gonna have the kingdom. We're
(01:23:55):
gonna have the kingdom. Yes,yeah, it's a billion dollars. You
know what to do with a billiondollars? Man, I got I got
Bible behind that. The wicked hasset up treasures for the that's that's a
treasure. That's the treasure. Andanybody don't hear what would they do for
(01:24:16):
the first thing gonna do is well, pay the ties. That's right,
that's list, pay my ties andhealth the kingdom. So the sinners get
winning? Why can't we? Whycan't we? Why can't we? Gotta
Yeah, you gotta be in itto win it. So when you're buy
(01:24:39):
your friends ticket by me, Okay, I got something for you. Maybe
listen when I win you when Iwin, you win, just like that,
