will bless your life, all right. And so that's what I wanted to
share with you about God's glory line. Come and get your life blessed,
all right. So today and todaywe're gonna be coming from the scripture of
Gallatians five and twenty two. Ifyou have your word, you can turn
(06:26):
with me to Galatians five and twentytwo. And that's what we're gonna start
off with. You know how wedo every week we talk about a lot
of different scriptures, but we're gonnastart off with this main scripture talking about
the fruit of the spirit. Allright. It says, but the fruit
of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
(06:48):
faithfulness, gentleness, and self controlagainst such things there is no law.
Let's take a moment for prayer. They're having a father. We just
thank you, Lord for another daythat wasn't promised to us. God.
We thank you for allowing us tocome together and fellowship over this live broadcast
on today. God, God,I asked you would just use me Lord
(07:09):
to speak a word to your people. God. God, Let it touch
the hearts of the minds of people. Let it be caught, Let it
cause transformation. God. Help usGod as we continue to walk this walk.
Lord, lead us and guide usin the way that you would have
us to go. God. Thethings that you find that are not likely,
God, we asked you will removethose things. God, pooon us.
God, change our hearts, God, creating us a clean heart God
(07:30):
and a right spirit. God.We love you God, and we thank
you Lord. We just asked youhelp us to be doors. Not only
here is God, but to beable to apply this word to our lives
so that we could see you asa sweet smile and save your Lord.
We thank you for everything that you'vedone. God, that you're doing and
that you're gonna do. And Jesusname, we pray thank God. Amen.
Amen. All right. So fruitout of spirit. Right, we're
(07:53):
talking about the fruit of the spirit. So you know, I like to
ask you guys a question. Everyevery week we talk about some things.
So tell me which which fruit ofthe spirit do you like the most the
or you could tell me the onethat you feel like you should work you
need to work on the most.Let me get some responses. Either you
can tell me the fruit of thespirit you love the most, or the
ones that you think that you needuh to be developed in you more.
(08:18):
Come on and share with me.Let's see what the people have to say.
We got love? Do you needDo you need more love? What
the world needs now is love?Do you need more joy? Do you
need more peace? All right?Sister walk Latasha says she likes love.
(08:39):
Amen, love? All right? With that, says love? All right?
Anybody else? Anybody else? Theseare the ones that you like the
most. I'm assuming love is whatyou like the most. If you want
to share what you think God isstill developing within you, you can also
share that as well. I believeGod is still working with me on self
(09:01):
control, right, He's working withme in that area being self control,
even gentleness a little bit as well. Anybody else Before we get ready to
move on, all right, ifI see if I see it pop up
(09:22):
in there, then we'll I'll callit out and shout you out as I
see it come through. Okay.So we know that the fruit of the
Spirit is the work of the HolySpirit in us. Right, the spirit
long suffering is that the one thatyou you that it needs to be worked
on more? Is that the oneyou love? Latasha that long suffering listen,
(09:43):
love for it covers a multitude ofsin. Amen, AMN. Evangelist
Marie gentleness. My mom says shelikes gentleness. Very good, very good.
Yes, patience listen if you ifyou start asking God if you want
him to prove produce that patience fruit. You get ready for some test.
And you hear me you getting readyfor it. I know as a teacher,
(10:05):
Uh, work on more good, long suffering and listen, and he
will do it. He will doit. God is doing it for us.
The Spirit, Uh, the HolySpirit produces these character traits within us
that are found in the nature ofChrist. Right, These are byproducts of
Christ's control when we allow him tohave control of our lives. You know,
(10:26):
there's uh, you know, there'ssome people that don't even believe in
the Holy Spirit. And so youhave to ask yourself, if you don't
believe in the Holy Spirit, areyou a child of God? Right?
If we're not, If you don'teven believe in the Holy Spirit, all
right, So the Holy Spirit workswithin us to develop these fruit. Right,
(10:48):
we can't obtain them on our own. We can't obtain them by by
our good words and working hard totry to produce the long suffering, or
working hard to try to produce thegentleness, or any of them. That
we have to allow the working ofthe Holy Spirit to do that for us.
Right, and so without the HolySpirit, it's impossible for us to
develop these fruits. If we wantthe fruit of the Spirit to grow in
(11:11):
us, then we must join ourlives to Christ, join our lives to
Him. We're gonna look over atJohn fifteen. Look over at uh John
fifteen. I'm sorry at verse four. All right, remain in me and
I will remain in you. Nobranch can bear fruit by itself. Makai
(11:35):
said, faith. Okay, verygood. My nephew said faith, And
McKinley said, honesty, very good. So it says no branch can bear
fruit by itself. It must remainin the vine. Neither can you bear
fruit unless you remain in me.This is the NIV version that I'm reading
from. I am the vine. You are the branches. If a man
(12:00):
remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart
from me. You can do nothingif anyone does not remain in me.
He is like a branch that isthrown away in Withers. Such branches are
picked up, thrown into the fireand burned. If you remain in me
and my words remaining, you askwhatever you wish, and it will be
(12:22):
given to you. This is myfather's This is to my father's glory that
you bear much fruit showing yourselves tobe my disciples. We talked about this
a little bit last week. Hey, Pastor Andrew, thank you so much
for joining us on this evening. All right, So we talked about this
a little bit last week. Right, those of us who are calling ourselves
a disciple of Christ, Right, you cannot bear fruit on your own.
(12:43):
A lot of people think this becausethey're going around doing put these that's gonna
get you into heaven? What didwe talk about last week? There are
gonna be many to say, Lord, Lord did not prophesy, I did
not cast I did not do allthese things. And what is he gonna
say apart from me? Right?I know you not, you worker of
iniquity. Right, and so weneed to make sure that we're not working
(13:05):
out of our own veins, outof ourselves, right, We're not thinking
that we are good on our ownnone, none is good but the Father.
You know, we can't go aroundthinking that just because we're good,
that we're good because you ain't good. You got to check yourself before you
wreck yourself. Amen, Can Iget amen? All right? I'm gonna
flip over to Matthew seven. Solet me see we know that we have
(13:30):
to bear fruit, all right. So, so a lot we're talking about
being disciples of Christ. How it'sI believe when you're a disciple of Christ,
it's evident there. It should bethe Holy Spirit. There's evidence of
you having the Holy Spirit, right, there's evidence of that. There's there's
signs of that. Right. Well, people, I'm a little under the
(13:54):
weather right now. I'm not feelingvery well, and I'm saying, do
you got COVID? There's symptoms, there's so if I had COVID, there
will be some signs, right, and then I have the ability to spread
COVID. Right if I'm sick andI'm around people that think is spread.
When I have the Holy Spirit, there should be signs and it should be
able to spread that thing. Ishould be able to infect. You should
(14:16):
know. There should be a signof that, all right, Let's look
over at Matthew seven and fifteen. It says, watch out for false prophets.
They come to you in sheep's clothing. But then really they are ferocious
wolves. By their fruit, youwill recognize them. What is the fruit?
The fruit of the spirit? Right. I have some friends, you
(14:37):
know, they say, oh,are you judging me? Like the Bible
says, we will know them bytheir fruit. I'm not judging you.
I'm encouraging you to let your lightshine for Christ, to let God do
that work in you, bring thatwork into completion, and you let that
show you. Let those fruits showgentleness, kindness, love, patience.
Right. It is important for usto do that. If we are truly
(15:00):
disciples of Christ, we must knowhim. We must know Christ, we
must love him, we must acknowledgeHim in our ways. We must imitate
him, all right, And asa result, we will fulfill the intended
purpose of the law right, whichis to love God and to love our
(15:20):
neighbors. All right. So Iasked you guys, what was your your
favorite? And some of you goutsshared. A lot of people share love,
gentleness, kindness. Some people saythey need to work on long suffering,
patience, that's an area that weneed increasing. I also said gentleness
(15:41):
and self control. Right, Sothere's areas that we know that God continues
to develop. Right when we getthe Holy Spirit, you're not just oh
ooh, it's not magic. Ohnow I got all these fruits. No,
those things have to be worked anddeveloped in us. God prunes us
and helps to develop the fruit ofthe Spirit in us. All right,
And so there we have to makesure that we're allowing the Holy Spirit to
(16:02):
do the work. Right, We'resurrendering to the Holy Spirit. So the
Bible says over in John fourteen fifteen, if you love me, you will
obey my commands. That's what wesaid, if you love me, So
you say you do you love God? Well, Mary, Mary say you
don't love God? What's wrong withyou? Right? If you love him,
(16:23):
you will obey his commandments. Andover in Matthew we know in Matthew
chapter twenty two, the Pharisees werequestioning Jesus about what the greatest commandment was?
What is the greatest commandment? Andhe said, let me look home.
And so Matthew thirty seven Matthew twentytwo. Over in verse thirty seven's
(16:52):
in teacher, I'm gonna sarty thirtysix. So thirty six, says teacher,
Which is the greatest commandment in thelaw. Jesus replied, it's in
read Okay, Love the Lord yourGod with all your heart and with all
your soul, and with all yourmind. This is the first and greatest
commandment. And the second is likeit, love your neighbor as yourself.
(17:15):
All the law and the prophets hangon to these two commandments, right,
So this is the greatest is love? Right? Even we know even this
is where the Bible says those thatremain are faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love. I think that's in First I
think that's in First Corinthians. Untilthe greatest of these is love. Right,
(17:37):
And like vengeance, Marie toldas lovecovers a multitude of sin. For
God to love the world that hegave is only we got his sons to
whoever believe hele in not perish buthave everlasting life. So we know that
love is so powerful. And that'swhat I wanted to talk about today and
encourage because I feel like so oftenwe're lacking in that fruit of the spirit.
I feel like if none of theother fruit. That is the one
(18:00):
that we need to exemplify in ourlives every day. Right, A lot
of people leave the church in theirin their their they abandon church because of
church hurt. Right, that's atool that the enemy uses. The device
that the enemy uses church hurt. They don't wanna go church no more.
But if we would just love,we would get away from all of this
church hurt. You know, Iknow that, you know, the spirit
(18:22):
of offense is real, but weneed to start loving. Let's look at
First Corinthians so we can look atwhat love is. You know, this
is their First Corinthians's where everybody usesyou don't talk about love, you know,
weddings and everywhere, everybody talks aboutFirst Corinthians. And so let's see
it says I even have this,Yeah, I see you in the house,
(18:47):
Jane. If I see you, thank you for thank you for tuning
in. I have a song callednothing but Love, and I talk about
this this chapter thirteen. In thatsong, it says, if I speak
in tongues of men and of angelsbut have not loved, I am only
a resounding gong or a clanging symbol. If I have the gift of prophecy
(19:08):
and can fathom all mysteries and allknowledge. And if I have a faith
that can move mountains, but havenot loved, I am nothing. If
I give all I possess to thepoor and surrender my body to the flames,
but have not loved, I gainnothing. What is love? Love
(19:30):
is patient. Look at your neighborssay love is patient. I don't know
if you have aniator body you,but love is patient. How many of
you can say that you're always patientwith God's children? Right, that you're
slow to anger, you know, get irritated really quickly. Right, That's
(19:55):
what it says here. Love ispatient even till I want to talk to
some of my young single women aresingle men out there? Love is patient,
right. Lust is not patient.Right. So you got somebody out
there and they trying to do thedo and they have put a ring on
it and said I do no.And if they want to move on down
the road because you said no,then they'll let you know. They don't
(20:18):
love you, they lust you.Right. So love is patient, Love
is kind. It does not envy. It's not jealous. Right. You
got family members out there jealous ofone other. That's not love got church
members out here jealous of each other'sgifts, gifting, jealous because somebody got
(20:41):
a husband. And you don't jealouscause somebody bought a big nine house.
Love does not envy, It doesnot boast, and it is not proud.
Right. We have to humble ourselves. I think that's why a lot
of people are. We have brokenfamilies that pride. Get that pride out
of the way, right, Lovenot don't be prideful. It is not
(21:04):
rude, right, I know.Uh, Hey, you ever met a
rude Christian? It's a Christian outthere and you be like, oh,
like, you know, like whatshe was saying. You talk to people
like that. You know. Loveis not rude. So we we should
watch how we handle people, howwe talk to people, uh, and
(21:27):
make sure that we are showing loveall right, all right? And so
it says that it is not selfseeking. Love is not self seeking,
(21:51):
all right, all right? Andso it is not easily angered, and
it keeps no records of wrong. How many of us go around keeping a
regular wrong every times when I dosomething to you, you're not letting it
go right, and it's building upand building up causes you to have that
bitterness and unforgiveness. Love does notdo that. It does not delighted evil,
(22:11):
but it rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust always
hopes, and it always perseveres.Love never fails. And so I just
wanted to encourage my people today tolove. Let's love one another, and
it's pour out our love. Lovecovers a multitude of sin. I know.
Sometimes you could be in a church, visiting a church and someone will
(22:37):
be up and they'll be speaking, and sometimes they speak to certain sins,
especially homosexuality. I feel like that'sa big one, and just the tone
of how they're speaking on it.You know, you can just tell the
disgust. You know, we hatethe sin, not the sinner, right,
and so we have to learn howto I'm the think of water down
the world. We gotta tell thetruth. We were living in the last
(23:00):
evil days. We need to tellthe truth people what the Bible says.
The people will have an in yourear. They want to go where people
are saying what they want to hear, where you're just getting a bunch of
prosperity messages and oh, how Godis gonna bless you. And that's good,
you know, God, God isgreat God, and he does bless
us. But we need to makesure that the first thing is first,
and that's salvation. Right where isyour soul gonna go? And so we
(23:22):
have to be real with people. We have to let them know what the
Word says and what the Lord says, what is required of us. But
we need to make sure that weare doing these things in love to my
to the elders of the church whenyou're leading the young people, right,
because we're living in a different time. We're living in a different day then
back in the day I grew up, you know, in the in the
eighties early eighties, where you know, if you say anything in church,
(23:48):
your granted will piach the skin offthe back of your own, you know.
And then even when she piece theskin off the back of your own,
you weren't allowed to holler, right, You just got to you got
to suck it up and just betough and your own blood running down the
back of your own, you know, and you said, don't nobody else,
don't nobody know anything happen. That'sthe area, the era that I
grew up in. But things havejust changed so much, and so we
(24:12):
have to adapt right. We haveto become this has become all things to
all people, and so we haveto be able to reach the young people
where they are. That's why Ione reason I believe that God allowed me
to walk in the ministry that Iwalk in with the Christian rap right.
Most people that know me know thatI'm not even a rap fan. You
(24:37):
know that I prefer to listen toa good old traditional gospel. You know,
some of my favorites are Shirley Caesarand Vicky Winings and Cavil Clark,
Sheer the Render Clark, these peoplethat I grew up, That's what I
grew up listening to. But throughteaching, you guys know my story and
how I became lyric. Through teachingand edge my students. I saw the
(25:02):
need that Okay, these kids theyknow every rap song that come on the
radio the next day, but they'renot retaining anything that I'm teaching them in
this classroom. So I started takingmy raps and turning I mean taking my
lessons and turning them into raps.I just made them rhyme. I went
on YouTube, found a good beat, I put it to it, and
(25:22):
I started teaching that way. Andthat's how I developed the skill of rapping.
And then, you know, I'vebeen speaking since the age of nineteen
and so I would be asked tospeak at different youth conferences and things like
that. And so I was askedto speak at a youth conference that I
knew a lot of my students wouldbe at. It was called Getting the
Game, and so I wrote arap about Jesus called Getting the Game serving
(25:47):
Jesus Christ. And that's how Ibecame a rapper. And I you know,
I went to a couple of diferentchuritiesand they started requesting that song.
I was like, I don't evenknow that song. I just did that
for that one occasion. And soyou know, after the second time it
got requested, I was like, you know, maybe something here. And
since then, that was over tenyears ago, and since then, God
has allowed me. I think I'vewrapped in over what twenty seven states,
(26:07):
I've wrapped on cruises on the searight and internationally, God has just opened
so many doors. I won multipleawards and God's just done a lot of
things. You know, I wasable to leave teaching and go full time
into my music ministry, and soGod has just really opened up doors by
me walking in obedience right, andI had to surrender to him. When
(26:29):
I was living the way I wantedto live, there was no such thing
as Lyric. The lyric didn't exist. I was Kicky, right, But
just like Saul when he surrendered, and God changed his name. When I
surrendered, God changed my name toLyric. And now even my family members
everybody called me Lyric. I'm like, I'm Kiki. People still call me
Lyric. Everybody's calling me Lyric becauseGod changed my name because I surrendered to
(26:51):
him and I let God work thosefruits of the spirit in me right.
And so that fruit of the spiritthat we're concentrating on today is love.
I want to encourage you to loveyou. If you are feeling bitterness or
separation from family members, get itright. I encourage you today to go
and make it right. God doesnot hold you responsible for how people treat
(27:11):
you. God holds you responsible forhow you treat people a man. Hey,
sister Tasha, thank you for joiningin right. That's what you're going
to be held accountable for, right. And you have to forgive. You
want to be forgiven, And soI'm just encouraging you. If you have
relationships that are strained with you, with your family members, your mama,
your sister, your brothers, cousins, uncles, amy's or church members,
(27:34):
church family, go and make itright. Get rid of that pride.
Right, love is not proud.Get rid of that pride and go and
forgive. And let's love because peopleare living here. Every day. Every
day on my Facebook timeline, Isee so many messages where this person died.
(27:55):
Everybody, so many are breath rightand so and we're praying for those
those people that are suffering and thatare going through that. But while you
still have the blood running woman yourveins, and while that loved one is
still alive, let's go and makethese things right, because in the end,
it's not worth it. Right. You see people at funerals falling all
over the cask and crying. Everybodyknow you did, Yeah, you didn't
(28:17):
fix it, and something was wrong. That's why you're doing all of that.
So let's not wait till the endthey have to do all of that
falling out and crying. Let's getit right while we're still among the living.
Okay, That's what I want toencourage you. So let love be
the foundation and the motivation for allthat we do, all right. We
(28:38):
know that love is so important. When I looked it up, it said
love is mentioned in the Old Testamentstwo hundred and fifty times and in the
New Testament of two hundred and thirtyfour times. That's a lot. Love
is important, all right, Andso we want to make sure. Hey,
(28:59):
I'm relieved, thank you for tuningin and tuning in. So we
want to make sure that we areloving all those people. Love. It's
just it's not just an emotion.Love is a commitment, all right,
And we want to make sure thatwe are committed to loving like God has
commanded us, loving the Lord Godwith all of our heart, and loving
(29:21):
our neighbor. Quit bickering and beingselfish and being mean, love without limits,
Bless those that need to be blessed, Help those. You know.
We so good about lowering somebody something, and we be looking forward back,
but the Bible tells us warns usagainst that, right or we help somebody
(29:41):
out. And we got to gotell everybody what we did. Bob said,
don't let your right hand over whatyour left hand's doing. But we
got to go tell everybody. Youknow, I had to help up pay
her life be a last week shegot did hove and I don't know what
they do, what they you know, those kind of things that we do.
But God is not pleased with that, all right, So we need
to make sure that we are awareof that and we want to show love
(30:03):
and all that we do. That'sit. Love doesn't keep count. Love
doesn't keep count. And so thatwas my message for today is loving not
just those who love you, butloving your enemy, loving your neighbor as
yourself. And if you really thinkabout how you love yourself, that'll really
tell you something about if you're reallyloving people right, because you're not gonna
(30:26):
go in bad mouth yourself. You'renot gonna go around telling all your own
business to everybody in the streets, tearing your own name down and dragging your
own name through the mood. You'renot gonna do those things too against yourself.
And so we're loving our neighbors asourself. You're gonna make sure that
your needs are met and that youhave what you need. So let's love
(30:48):
on others that same way. Let'snot tear them down, Let's build them
up. Let's treat them as ifthey were us. Treat them how you
would want to be treated. Amen. All right, listen, I'm gonna
you're ready to introduce to you myspecial guest for today, powerful, powerful
woman of God, my friend. She is a friend of mine who I
(31:11):
love so dearly. I've known herfor several years, and I mean she
is just an awesome woman of God. Anybody who knows her knows that she
is an awesome woman of God.I'm going to read her bio really quickly
before I bring her in, saysFrozine. Hayes is a gospel recording artist

testimony of her faith triumphant over tribulation. In two thousand and six, after
the death of her two sons, she and her husband founded a Memorial Scholarship

Philippians six and one. You guys, please welcome to the stage, my
friend, evangelist Frozine lot Hayes.Hello, letterick you in beautiful, No
bless you. Turn your volume up. I can't hear you. I will
(34:06):
do that. Can you hear me? Now? Can you hear me?
Now? I can't hear you.Can you guys hear her? Okay,
okay, can you hear me?Now? There we go. I'm sorry.
I think it was me. I'mso sorry I had to go in
(34:28):
my settings and real dress something. How are you doing, beautiful, I'm
doing wonderfully well. I can't complain. I just thank God that He's allowed
us to be here another day.Amen. Amen. He's a mighty good
God, isn't he. Yeah?Yes he is. Well listen, I'm
not gonna prolong the time. Yougo ahead and jump right in and share
(34:49):
your story with my viewers. Iwill, I will well, I have
several stories, but I'm gonna shareone that was most powerful, powerfully impacted
upon my life, that really hasbrought me to the season in my life
where I am now. I trulybelieve so well. In two thousand and
(35:10):
six, my husband and I hadtwo sons. And in two thousand and
six, February twenty fifth, actuallythe anniversary was coming up Sunday, we
received a call that my oldest son, Robert had been taken to a bank
ATM machine, robbed and his lifewas taken well. During that seat.
(35:34):
During that time, he was attendingOffice of Leadership School and Fort Seal,
Oklahoma, and it was just threedays shy of his graduation where two young
men took him at gunpoint in thebackseat in the back of his truck,
made him drive to bank ATM machineand the most he could take out was
four hundred dollars, and they tookthe four hundred dollars and he tried to
(35:57):
exit his truck to get out ofthe truck from them, and they shot
him three times in his back whilehe was doing so. And he was
engaged to be married. During thattime, he had earned his master's degree
and his dream was to run hisown hospital one day, and he was
in here. I believe he wasclose. So he was. He was
(36:20):
a striver. And then sixty yeah, sixty days after Robber's death. Of
course, Robert was twenty six atthat time and twenty six years old,
my youngest son. Sixty days afterRober's death, my youngest son was twenty
two. He had actually just turnedtwenty two March seventeenth, a very same
year, and he decided to marryhis childhood's sweetheart. And during that time
(36:46):
he was in college studying to bea police officer. Well, he married
his childhood sweetheart, who was inthe Marines full time, and after their
wedding and went driving to California, made it to Inver, Colorado, U
two days later, had a caraccident on an open highway. He was
(37:07):
ejected from the car and he didn'tmake the accident. It was a situation.
It was a strange situation where itwas just two of them in the
car and she was driving and hewas sleeping. The cellphone ring fell on
floor and she picked it up.Yeah, yeah, okay, you know,
but the car flipped so many times. He was ejected from the car.
(37:30):
She has survived the accident, buthe didn't make the accident. But
I mean the times, I mean, it's not so much of the timing.
It was the totality of the wholecircumstance that took place in our live,
my husband and our lives, andit was a profile situation. We
(37:54):
just, uh, it just reallytook us on the ride mentally for a
little while, a little while, yes, ma'am. So after this happened,
of course, and before this tookplace in our lives, we raised
(38:14):
our sons in church Sunday School. They were ushers, you know, and
people loved them, and they werelovable young man, very accomplishment as well,
and they knew Christ. Amen, they knew Christ. And so I
believe that part is what really bringscomfort to my mind and peace every day
(38:36):
when I think about them, youknow, because I know where they are,
yes ma'am, you know, anduh, and to know where they
are, and because God was inour lives and in our homes, and
you know, I was singing andspeaking there and my husband we were all
active in church, you know.So that just goes to tell you,
(38:57):
tell you that you know, youcould be believer, he could be a
love of Christ. You can liveright, yes, but that storm is
going to come. It is goingto come, my God, that one
thing about the storm would or everknow when is coming, how is coming,
or where it's going to come from. Yes, same, we can
(39:19):
trust. Come on here and tellus about it is. Trust God through
our faith in him, Amen, and get to know him, you know,
and know his will for our lives, and just clean to his love
and know that He's going to sustainyou and take care of you. And
(39:39):
today I cling to that, youknow, I truly believe and I know
and you know He's a healer amen. Amen, He's a keeper. He's
a healer, He's a keeper. He's gonna be with you in the midst
of the storm. Amen. Ohyes, yes. And we know that
you are anchored in Christ, youknow. And I can't imagine having to
(40:02):
go through something like that without Christ. Oh yeah, I don't know if
you mind me asking, But becauseif your children were twenty six and twenty
two, that would put you aroundin your forties. How I was about
forty five, I was girl.Yeah, it's a few eight a few
(40:24):
years older than I am right now. Yeah, yes, ma'am. Why
And and so God's strength is whatwas you had to draw from God to
be a baby. I had toI had to pull myself away from people,
mmmm, places and things not man, but spend more time with Him.
(40:49):
And I tell you one thing, literally I did do. And that
was my question to God, whatis the Lord that you would have me
to do? Mmm? You knowso so many people when they experience that
type of tragedy. I mean,to lose one son, I'm not a
(41:10):
mother yet. I don't know ifthat's what God in God's plan for me,
but not yet. And so Iknow that, you know, people
always say about a mother's love. You know that that there's nothing like a
mother's love. And so to notonly just lose your oldest son, but
sixty days later, yes, notsixty weeks, not sixty months, sixty
(41:34):
days. And they were both insuch tragic ways, you know, to
be murdered by gun violence, robbery, you know, that's the same way
I lost my father in a robberyto gun violence. And then to turn
around in a car accident, youknow, not a natural cause, but
these two unexpected tragedies, so manypeople turn their back on God. Yes,
(41:57):
ma'am, you know God don't loveme How could you let this happen
to me? They blame God?What Joe? Why telling you? Because
God and die? Right? Buttell the people what is it that drew
you closer to God? You saidthat you asked God, what would you
have me to do? What wouldyou have me to do? Even though
I was in ministry then and hadbeen in the ministry for many many years
(42:20):
before that time, that it cometo my mind that there was something else,
had to be another elevation, anotherlevel that God wanted to take me.
So what did you do? Fromthere after ask what would you have
me do? What did you do? And that was in the word ministry?
(42:45):
Amen, the word ministry. Istarted teaching, and well, it's
always been in me in my singing, but I believe that I had been
running for quite some years too,and it really didn't help very much when
I was on a ministry. Uh, you know, the Church Covenant did
(43:07):
not, you know, embrace womenin the ministry. But my pastor,
my leader at that time, heknew for many many years. But that
was the encouraging moment for me aswell. But I had to make certain
that it was God calling me.I had to I had to make certain
(43:30):
so after that I went in prayer. I went in prayer for a very
very long time, I believe almosttwo years literally, And and it's okay
to ask God to show us,Yes, ma'am, give us some sign
like Solomon did, amen, youknow. And so he did that.
(43:52):
God he showed me three times ina dream. Three times. He's faithful.
That's how I know. Yeah. And so because we have to be
certain, we have to make certainthat it is not voices, it's not
emotions. See, ministry is notabout emotions and feelings. Come on here,
come on. The spirit is notabout emotions and feeling and you know,
(44:17):
we have to make we have tomake certain of that. Yes,
what I mean by that is thatwe have to make certain that we're hearing
the voice of God and only hisvoice, only his voice tune intail the
spirit. And so that drove me. I had to I went to my
(44:37):
pastor at the time and rested inLord and had him praying with me.
It's about a year and a half, you know. And I think during
that time I have released my firstsecond CD, Thank You Jesus one more
Time, okay, And when travelingand traveling all over the States, promoting
(44:59):
that while at the same time tryingto be tuned into the voice of God.
God, what's next? Mm hm. So I found myself going under
covering spiritual leadership to embrace where Godwas calling me. Yeah, yes,
(45:23):
ma'am, Yes, ma'am. Canyou tell So you said something so important
there. You said that we needto make certain that it is the voice
of God. Can you tell me? Can you tell my listeners out here?
How can we do that? Howcan we make certain that it is
the voice of Lord? What aresome things that we could do? Ah?
(45:46):
First of all, prayer, meditationand the study of His word Amen.
Not just one time, not justtwo times. But it has to
be a meditation. It has tobe a consistent time. It has to
be it has to become a partof our lives. And the voice of
(46:08):
God. God speak in many ways. He speaks to us in many ways.
And one thing about hearing his voiceand knowing his answer. We're gonna
be confident and peaceful about the decisionwe made, and we're gonna walk in
(46:28):
that in that comfort We're gonna walkin that comfort zone and in that peace
and God is gonna open that doorlike no man can amen. Amen.
And we know that God is notthe author of confusion. We're listening to
the God, you know. Iknow that's one thing that really helped me
is when I feel like I'm ina confused state of mind that I know,
(46:51):
let me, let me get back, take a step back, and
like you said, let me goto my prayer closet. Yes, yes,
some time and there until I someclarity from the Lord. And everything
that is coming from the Lord's gonnaline up with his word. Amen.
Yes, ma'am, it's gonna lineup with this word. And not only
would will would line up with thisword, but He's gonna lead God and
(47:14):
direct your steps. Amen. Amen, you're in a place where he wants
you to be mm because His willshall be done in your life. Come
on here, come on here. But the boble says, lean out unto
your own underside. But in allof your ways, if we acknowledge him,
(47:35):
he will direct our path. Amen, he will, And so tell
so so we know God has beendoing wonderful, wonderful things in your life,
in your ministry. What's what's goingon with you? Now? You
know how you want all of theseawards and all of these accolades, and
you know, I see you goingdoing Dove events and all these things.
You know, God is doing allof these great things for you. You
(47:59):
just see your honorary doctorates on theircongratulations. I saw, I've seen your
times now with Pastor Shirley Caesar.God is just opening doors for you,
so tell me. So, Ifeel like it's just such a triumphant story
of victory, you know, becauselike I said, some people don't even
(48:19):
experience the type of loss and tragedythat you had to walk through and go
through. But you still kept yourhand in God's hand and he what they
saying, all things work together forthe good good of them love the Lord.
So can you look back on thattime of your life and look back
and see how God still worked ittogether for your good. I look back
(48:43):
over those days sometimes to strengthen me, to encourage me, to let me
know that I can move forward inHim. Also to remind me about the
power of God in my life,Yes, ma'am. And so I'm always
(49:05):
reminded through his words Paul's testimony, because I can't do nothing without him.
We can't do anything without him aman. A man can't do anything without
God. I don't care how bigor how small it is. But in
this season in my life, God, I've learned as I grow older and
(49:30):
gracefully in Him to allow him tolead me. Because even though there are
a lot of platforms in the musicindustry, I can't be everywhere because not
being God's plan for my life.See one thing about it is says God
(49:50):
have a different plan for each oneof us. He has a different journey
for each one of us in theministry, Amen, ministry of mind.
Each one of us, our journeysare different. And guess what he does.
He puts us in our own space. And the reason he does it
(50:13):
is because he has it all incontrol. Amen, Amen, got it
all in control. And he saidHe'll never put more on you than you
can bear. He knows, heknew that you buried. You know what
he tells when he said, haveyou considered my servant Jove? He knows,
he knows what we can handle andwho we are. Have this bonnd
(50:34):
and what's gonna break you? Becauseyou know what might break me? You
know? He maybe if that thatsame circumstance could happen to someone else,
they wouldn't be able to take rightyou know, and so God knows,
and he'll never put more on usthan we can bear. Sometimes and you
know what lyrics Sometimes when I thinkabout content, what you just spoke is
(50:57):
you know what's next? Lord?Yeah, yeah, keep preparing me.
Yeah, day by day, becauseevery day with Jesus is sweeter than the
day before. Amen, come onhere and come on here. Every day
with Jesus is sweeter than the daybefore. He would put you. He
puts us in our space for him. That's why my favorite text is he
(51:24):
who has put a great work inyou, a good work in you,
good work, it's faithful to performit until the day of Christ Jesus,
Amen, Amen, lyric he willperform the work that He has placed in
you. Amen. I receive that. I receive that and you as well.
(51:45):
Yeah, he will perform it.And when one thing about that work,
we don't know what that work is. We're working now, we're space
now, we're in our season ofwhat we're doing now. But he has
we have to know that there's greaterworks, yes, ma'am, Yes,
ma'am. There are greater words. And that's so important. Can you share
(52:07):
a message with the listeners and theviewers about our works. You know,
I feel like there's so many ofus, so many Christians who are just
kind of coasting through life, andyou know, we're just going with the
wind how it blows us, youknow. But God has called us to
work. It says faith that thatworks is dead right. It says the
good works that He had prepared inadvance for us to do. So I
(52:30):
just want you to speak to thelisteners about the work that we should be
doing. It says, be aboutour father's business. Right, So we
know that either we're doing our father'swork or then we're doing what it said
you work of iniquity. So Ijust want you to take some encouraging words
to help us get on fire forthe Lord and make sure that we are
working. Yes, ma'am. Firstof all, we have to know and
(52:52):
understand that God didn't call us tobe successful. Oh, he called us
to be faithful. Mm hmm.If we keep our minds off being successful
and and fame and fool and placeour mind on Him in his kingdom building,
(53:15):
come on here and teach and thepurpose that He has us Herefore he'll
make a way. He'll do therest. Mm hmm. I mean you
just really said something there. M. He called us to be faithful,
faithful with faithful to who, faithfulto him? Mm hmm, be faithful
(53:37):
to him, reader his words, study his words, spend time with him.
Ask him for directions in our decisionmaking. In all your ways,
yes, in all our ways.Acknowledge him. Yeah, people ask at
me sometimes I tell them, youknow, when I go shopping, I
(54:00):
I pray, I pray. Probablygoing to start, you know, I
asked the Lord, Lord, Lord, you know what I'm in search for,
you know what I need get onthe stage. Lord, let it
be within my budget. Lord, help me not to see nothing that I
don't need to pick up, nothingextra. And he loves that. I
ask him. You know, Ipray. We pray about everything. Yes,
(54:23):
there's another too big or too small, Yes, ma'am. Our conversation
and a mind. It should justbe a consistent happy Amen. Everything that
comes off of our lips are givinghim praise. Amen. Amen. Yes,
that's powerful. That's powerful. Well, listen, I hate to put
you on the spot, but Iwant to know if you are blessed my
(54:44):
people with just a few notes, you know, I know it's you know,
people tell me all the time.I've had a couple of other artists
on and they're like, you shouldn'tlet him sing something, you know,
And I'm like, well, Iwasn't even thinking about let him, saying,
you know, we just sharing.I tested the money you need.
But if you don't mind, andGod puts it on your heart, if
you could just bless the people witha little something, you know, cause
(55:04):
we know that's a stranger's feeling.Amen. Feel that's right, literally,
because I always because my you know, because I'm always seeking God daily and
thanking him. You know, youknow my the song that that God just
give me, Lord, keep meday by day in uppu prayed way.
(55:43):
Lord, I know there's a buildingdone, mad bye he I just kept
to show up. Glory to God, Glory to God. Listen. That's
bye bye. He's strong. Ohyeah, that's so important. So that
(56:08):
will do Lord, it's Lord, give me strange to try just raise who
building? No man, Bye,Glory to God. Listen. I know
(56:32):
people throwing their thumb across the room, So listen, thank you, thank
you for blessing the people. Iknow that they are blessed. Listen,
everybody saying hally loujish prays, gotlots to come. It's coming through y'all
put up some fire emotions. Thatwas a blessing. Oh strange, jer
(56:57):
Yeah, traveling through this bad laLord to God, Lorr to God.
We're just strangers traveling through land. What's it? Literally? We're just strangers.
Yes, ma'am. This is notour home. This world is not
(57:20):
our home. We're doing our veryvery best to walk up right with Christ
every day. Amen. No,you know, let me just say this.
I want to see my sons oneday. Come on here when that
time comes. When that time comes, when I get to those parlegates,
I don't want the Lord to havethe question mm hmm. I want him
(57:45):
to just say, come on in, well done, well done by good
and faithful service, which you sayfaithful, He faithful, faithful, called
us to be faithful, not famousand not successful, but to be faithful
to him. Glory to God.You about to make me, Oh,
(58:06):
glory to God, and He'll makesuccess your way. Amen. Amen.
Amen. A man, a manthat is just so powerful right there.
I'm going to keep it right herein my heart. He called me to
be successful, He called me tobe faithful. As long as I'm faithful,
I don't have to worry about nothingelse. And that's what you're doing.
(58:30):
I've watched you grow, and you'regrowing gracefully in the power the will
and in the world of God,and He's using you. Yes, ma'am.
Glory to God. Glory to God. Your blessing me, and you
know you bless me. I thankGod for the mentors that he has passed
(58:52):
my life. You know you youare one of my great mentors. Blessed.
No, I love. I lovewhenever we have our conversations. You
know that time just flies. Thatbet she said it gets me, but
I just love. It's just sucha blessing and it does my heart well
whenever we are able to talk.I bless God for doctor Apostle Teresa Jordan,
(59:15):
and he pours into me and mentorsme. Uh, it's so powerful,
Caroline Trailor. God has placed mylife to pour into me. You
know, I'm not gonna forget mymama because she raised me and she trained
me up the way that I wassupposed to go. I just think God,
(59:36):
even now he's put in my life. Evangelist Maria Lewis, you know
who encourages me and takes the timeto take my phone call and pray for
me and encourage me to listen towhat I have to say. And so
I just thank God for the peoplethat He's placed in my life, you
know. And that's how I know. I said, Oh, I know,
God taking me higher, because that'sright the lyric. When he place
(01:00:00):
people in your life, that's oneway of confirmation, giving us confirmation of
He who has begun. It's faithfulto performing to bed Christ Jesus, and
you're always put us in a place. Amen, Amen, his work will
(01:00:21):
be grateful. I'm so grateful.Listen. I thank you for taking your
time out to come and share yourbeautiful testimony with us, so powerful.
I'm praying that God continues to dowhat he's doing in your life until you
see your songs again. Yeah, you're going to see him again. And
(01:00:42):
so would you. Would you haveto pray us out. I always like
to give my guests the opportunity ifthey would like to pray us out.
And then before you pray, tellthem, tell the people how they can
hear your music. Listen, healup, y'all see that sign back there?
This don't bless me, y'all,go look it up. I know
it's fools everywhere. Look at thecartoons everywhere, all of the digital outlets.
(01:01:04):
You can hear a healer. Youcan, I mean you can purchase
a copy. I mean there's nowhere, no place where you can't hear it.
And because that's why God didn't callme to be famous, call me
faithful. That is the blessed bodyof Christ through the gifts that He has
(01:01:25):
given me. Amen. Amen, and you guys go and follow her.
Uh Minister Frozene Hayes, Listen realquick. I know I'm over my time,
but it's gonna be all right tothe people. They the people are
loving it. They are saying nothingone thing before we let you pray and
get out of here. I justpeople. Everybody that knows me knows I'm
(01:01:46):
a basketball lover. You know Iyou know that's my thing. They know
God has gifted me in the areaof coaching basketball. But I have a
special gift for coaching basketball. Tellthem, because they didn't even know that.
They looking at a legend. It'sblack history, monk, and you
(01:02:07):
are a little basketball legend. Ah, you remember that I put out this,
Yes ma'am, yes ma'am. Iplayed basketball. I used to I
was like you. I used toeat, sleep, or drink basketball from
middle school through college. As amatter of fact, the last year I
played basketball, I was thirty eightyears old in college. Wow, at
(01:02:31):
a junior college, only just tostay fit. And I'm gonna share this
be real quick. The players' parentscome out to the games just to see
who I was, because they werego home, said Mama, this lady
thirty years old, she'd beat nothingdown the court, you know. And
I'm not paying attention to that.I just had to love for the game,
(01:02:52):
you know. I was a collarso and even in high school.
You know, when I got tomy high school year, our senior year,
I received a nomination for Athlete ofthe Year award, which was a
national Uh. They stopped doing thataround the late eighties. But I asked
my coach then, I said, you get this. She said, all
(01:03:13):
your teachers and your coaches follow youfrom middle school through high school. You
know, because I used to playfor high for the schools for the high
school, leave high school basketball practiceand then go to the Leision center we
call it you Leadiers center back inthem days, company center and play basketball
travel basketball. But yeah, andwhat college did you played for. What
(01:03:35):
college did you play for? Iplayed when I after high school. I
did get a scholarship to the Universityof Wisconsin Parks. I did basketball in
the tray. Yes, and Istarted that clip and mand wow, wow,
wow wow. Do's never know whenyou're in the presence of greatness.
I mean, I already knew Iwas the presidents of Greatest every time,
(01:03:57):
